Platinum Fit Keto The food regimen tendencies that have come along were concerned with treating the waistline problems, but now not the general fitness. So, is the detox food plan just any other weight loss plan trend? with the aid of technical definition, a eating regimen fashion meaning any new technique of eating added into society that creates a unexpected onslaught of followers, well then yes. however, it can not be taken into consideration a weight loss plan trend with the aid of any other definition. It changed into absolutely now not evolved for the same motives or the equal style that weight loss plan tendencies hit the marketplace. thin human beings can benefit from the detox eating regimen. overweight humans can enjoy the detox food regimen. everyone in between can enjoy the detox weight-reduction plan.  http://www.theguidestore.com/platinum-fit-keto/

Germany Set To Deport Many Nigerian Migrants On Monday
User Avatar Forum: News
Posted by: Edoman - 08-19-2019, 10:38 AM - No Replies

On Monday, a new batch of Nigerian migrants will be deported from Germany to Nigeria.

The migrants are expected to leave Frankfurt Airport at 8 am and land in Nigeria’s Murtala Mohammed International Airport around 2 pm and 3 pm.

Although the number of migrants has not been ascertained, it was, however, reported that migrants will be picked randomly from different accommodation centres.

Last month two batches of Nigerians were sent back home from the European country.

“The flight will be from Frankfurt on Monday. For those who have been given the information, the plane will take off by 8 am and arrive in Nigeria between 2 pm and 3 pm.

“Those who will be deported will be picked randomly from their different accommodation centres from 3 am till 5 am in different regions and conveyed to a central place and finally to Frankfurt Airport,” the Co-ordination Activist for Network Refugees 4Refugees, a political platform for refugees/migrant self-organization based in
Stuttgart, Germany, Rex Osa, told The Nation.

Osa added, “When their asylum application is already expired, they are obligated to leave the country.

“For those who don’t leave voluntarily, they will be given a what is I can translate in English to mean toleration status. This status is not a resident title; it is to show that the person is still there because the deportation is hindered because of one reason or the other.

“These people are picked up early in the morning without expecting the police.

“Some would be picked up from work also. When the police arrive in their rooms, they would be allowed to pack things not more than say 64 kilos. The police will be standing to make sure the person does not
escape.”

IPOB Bans Buhari, Buratai From Foreign Trips - Nnamdi Kanu
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-19-2019, 10:36 AM - No Replies

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has banned President Muhammadu Buhari from travelling outside the country, Igbere TV reports.

The group also placed a similar ban on Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Nigeria’s Chief of Army staff, from any foreign trip.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the IPOB, announced the ban during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra monitored by Igbere TV, on Sunday.

He lampooned the two leaders for launching ‘Operation Python Dance’ against “armless” Biafran agitators in the South East, during which many IPOB members were reportedly killed.

“Any day you see Jubril aka Buhari or Buratai anywhere outside Nigeria, they will understand the meaning of anger”, Kanu stated.

The ‘Operation Python Dance’ was launched by the army in the South East in 2016 in the wake of protests by IPOB members who were demanding secession from Nigeria.

During the ‘Operation Python Dance’, the Nigerian army raided Umuahia, Abia State, the home town of the leader of the IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, reports Igbere TV.

Meanwhile, Igbere TV had earlier reported that the IPOB has placed a N1 million bounty on four governors in the South East region.

The affected governors include Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Willie Obiano (Anambra).

The announcement comes barely 24 hours after Senator Ike Ekweremadu, immediate past Deputy Senate President, was attacked by members of IPOB in Germany, on Saturday.

Kanu had earlier praised the act of his members, while sending a strong note of warning to the governors and Chief Nnia Nwodo, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

7-year-old boy from Ogun sold for N1m, recovered in Anambra after 2 years

Joshua Joseph, a 7-year-old boy declared missing by his parents in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State in 2017, has been found with one Blessing Ozor who reportedly paid N1.05m for his ‘adoption’.

The adopted mother of the boy renamed Chisom, said she paid N1.05m to a level-13 civil servant in the Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs identified as Ifeoma Joy. Speaking at the state police headquarters where the boy was handed over to his parents, Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bashir Makama said the boy was found after officers from the command carried out a painstaking investigation.

The staff of Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs accused of collecting over N1m from the boy's adopted mother and forging adoption documents from the Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs, was linked to a three-member syndicate which specialised in stealing and selling children. Other members of the gang include Rita and Angela and it was learnt they are serving time in prisons at Edo and Ondo states.

Quote:“Joy is working at the Ministry of Women Affairs in Anambra State. She used the opportunity to arrange buyers for stolen children.
“In the cause of looking for her, she got transferred to four local government councils within one month in order to evade arrest.
“Our findings showed that eight children had been stolen by this syndicate from Ogun State and four had been recovered.
“One of the stolen children was found when the people, who adopted him, saw the boy’s picture on the pages of newspapers and returned him" Ogun state police PRO Abimbola Oyeyemi said.

However Joy on her own part insisted that she did nothing wrong but only helped out a sister in fellowship.

Quote:She said, “I never did such a thing. I know the woman, who brought this boy, as a worker at the Peace Sisters’ Home.
“So, when my sister in fellowship (Ozor) came up with the idea of adopting a child, I called the other woman to help us get a boy and I gave Rita my sister’s particulars. When she finished with the particulars, she now came with this boy. I never knew the boy was stolen.”

Recounting how she made the payment to alleged member of child-trafficking gang, Ozor said she paid N150,000 for processing of the adoption papers and additional N900,000 when the process was completed.

Quote:“I am just a victim of circumstances by my foolishness. I went to a sister in our fellowship, who had adopted a child before, because I have two daughters already but I had a feeling for a son; my last daughter is 24 years old.
“I went through Rita because she and her husband had adopted a child before and they led me to this woman, Joy. I believed that everything was okay because she made me believe that she runs the Peace Sisters Home" she said.

Moment two "heroes" jumped into the ocean to save a girl after her wheelchair rolled off dock and threw her into the water

Two men are being hailed as "heroes" after they jumped into the ocean to help prevent a girl in a wheelchair from drowning.

The men were on a cruise ship dock at St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands when there was commotion. A girl in a wheelchair had fallen into the ocean after her wheelchair rolled off the dock and she was sinking.

The men, whose have now been identified as Kuntry Hamilton and Randolph Donovan, without thinking, raced to save the girl's life. They jumped into the ocean and got to work.

Someone on the dock threw down a life preserver which the woman desperately held on to while Hamilton and Donovan swam to rescue her.

In a video of the rescue, posted on social media, the woman is seen holding the life ring as Hamilton and Donovan hold on to her to keep her afloat. Hamilton and Donovan worked together with rescuers on the dock to use a rope that had been tied around the woman, to pull her out of the water.

The unnamed woman was a passenger on board the Carnival Fascination ship, which had stopped in St. Thomas. After the rescue, her father can be seen hugging one of the rescuers in gratitude.

Speaking to CNN, Hamilton and Donovan said the governor and a legislator applauded their rescue efforts. They also said US Virgin Islands Gov. Albert Bryan, Jr. called them and told them, "On behalf of the people of the Virgin Islands, I want to say thank you."

In a Facebook post, Sen. Kurt A. Vialet, who represents the area in the legislature, lauded the young men, writing, "Everyday heroes with unassuming personalities live among us!"

Hamilton and Donovan said people recognize them on the streets and say they're "local heroes."

Attack on Ekweremadu is most reprehensible and should be condemned -Lawan Ahmed

The barbaric attack on Ekweremadu is most reprehensible and should be condemned by all right-thinking Nigerians” - Senate President, Ahmad Lawan

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has condemned the shameful assault on former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany.

Senator Ekweremadu was to give a keynote address at the Second Igbo Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in that city when a mob, which identified itself as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), invaded the venue to attack him.

Quote:“It is incredibly absurd for anybody to blame the distinguished Senator for the violent criminal activities in his home base, the purported reason cited by the mob for the bewildering attack.
“Senator Ekweremadu, like all his distinguished colleagues in the Ninth Assembly of the Senate, is concerned about the insecurity and other challenges in that area and other parts of Nigeria. Senator Ekweremadu has also been at the forefront of the patriotic efforts to find lasting solutions to the challenges.
“The barbaric attack on Senator Ekweremadu at a forum to which he was invited to contribute to charting a course for the progress and happiness of Ndigbo debase our values as civilised people. It is most reprehensible and should be condemned by all right-thinking Nigerians,” Lawan said.
He urged the German authorities to identify those involved in the despicable act so that the law can take its course against them. Lawan also urged Nigerians to always reflect deeply and broadly before embarking on a course of action and advised the youth to ventilate whatever grievances they have along lines prescribed by the law and recommended by reason and democratic ethos.

The Senate President then urged Senator Ekweremadu not to be deterred by the incident from his path of service to his people and Nigerians in general, but to take it as part of the sacrifice of leadership.

FG lied, El-Zakzaky never sought asylum in India - IMN

FG lied, El-Zakzaky never sought asylum in India - IMN

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has described as a campaign of calumny a recent statement credited to the Nigerian government that its leader Sheikh El-Zakzakywanted to seek asylum in India before his repatriation.

The proscribed group said the lie was fabricated to cover government’s “own gross misconduct in a foreign land”. Ibrahim Musa, president Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria stated this at a press briefing on Sunday.

The group accused the Federal Government of planning to kill El-Zakzaky for insisting on which doctors the Sheikh and his wife must see, while refusing to allow them access to their own doctors. “Before efforts at resolving this impasse could be concluded, the Sheikh was brought back to Nigeria, since their evil schemes could not be executed”, Musa said.

Read IMN’s full statement below...

Quote:Sequel to the Nigerian government’s sinister operation that frustrated the treatment of the revered Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) and his wife Malam Zeenat Ibrahim in India that led to the repatriation of the couple, the Nigerian government, in its effort to deceive the general public, has concocted contradictory statements and lies to colour its acts of violating the order given by the Kaduna High court allowing the Sheikh to seek treatment in India, with the government only supervising.
The facts are that the government mischievously went beyond its role of supervision to the level of maliciously interfering in the medical process, instructing on which doctors the Sheikh and his wife must see, while refusing to allow them access to their own doctors. Apparently, the government had a hidden mission, the details of which they had detailed specific doctors to execute.
The Sheikh was forced to either accept their choice or return home within two hours.  Being mindful of the government’s various previous plots to eliminate him since 2015, first through the barrels of the gun and much later through poisoning in detention while refusing him access to adequate medical care until the court’s intervention, the Sheikh sensed the government’s intention of inducing killer doctors to finish what they had earlier started, now through the back door.
He therefore insisted on having the presence of the doctors that initially assessed him in Nigeria, who also worked in that hospital, failing which, he preferred to return to Nigeria.  He refused to be subjected to any breach in the basic ethical principles guiding the medical treatment of people of respect for persons: protecting the autonomy of all people and treating them with courtesy and respect and allowing for informed consent, which the Nigerian government had contracted medical personnel in the Indian hospital to throw to the wind.
Before efforts at resolving this impasse could be concluded, the Sheikh was brought back to Nigeria, since their evil schemes could not be executed. The government is now churning out contradictory explanations to blame the Sheikh for not allowing himself to be killed in the name of medical treatment. The Nigerian government is also blackmailing the Sheikh that he sought for asylum in India just to cover their own gross misconduct in a foreign land.
The campaign of calumny has been championed by the Federal Ministry of Information, which sarcastically even said they were apologising to India for the Sheikh’s “unruly behaviour” rather than for their own obvious attempted assassination of somebody in another country!  Isn’t it rather contradictory that someone allegedly seeking asylum would be unwilling to stay back irrespective of the circumstances but preferring instead to return to his home country.
It is on record that it was the Sheikh who requested to be brought back home having been denied access to his doctors and rejecting the killer squad engaged to “treat” him instead.  The government’s claim that Sheikh’s wife antagonized the Nigerian officials by accusing them of killing her three children is yet another spurious search for justification for its maltreatment of the couple. Isn’t it true that it is the government that killed her three sons when its army invaded their residence at night in December 2015?
Wasn’t her husband dragged over the corpses of their murdered children having been shot himself and left swimming in his own pool of blood? Wasn’t she also shot and left lying lifeless in the process? Were they expecting a cheer from her for all these severe gross violation of their fundamental rights, even as judged by a competent federal court?  It is rather very shameful and a slap in the face of Nigeria that the government which hitherto claimed it had no hand in the case, now has to resort to lies, calumny and blackmail against a couple whose alleged crimes has never ever been proved in any court of the land.
All the allegations against this couple have always been merely spurious and unproven, and knowing that they could never prove in any court use the might of state power to intimidate and misinform the public.  It is noteworthy to state that the government is yet to respond to the confessions by the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince that they sponsored the Zaria genocide and the subsequent continued detention of the Sheikh in Nigeria.
This same fact was earlier alluded to by President Muhammadu Buhari during a state visit to Qatar. The world is watching all the persecution of the Islamic leader with keen interest. The government can never change the narrative.
We wish to thank the general public for their continued understanding and show of support in all these. No amount of feeding the public with concocted half-truths, lies and campaigns of calumny would swerve the course of justice for all the victims of Zaria genocide and its aftermath”.

We have not banned food importation - Presidency

The Presidency has denied claims in the media that President Buhari has banned the importation of food into the country.

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, gave the clarification in a statement he released on Sunday August 18th while responding to an article by Financial Times with claims that the President had banned food importation.

Recall that President Buhari on August 13th, announced that he has ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stop providing foreign exchange for importation of food into the country. Read here. Many took his comment to mean that Food importation has been banned.

However, in his statement released on Sunday, Garba said there was no ban on food importation. According to Garba, importers of the food items are still free to source their forex from non-government financial institutions towards meeting their importations.

The statement reads

Quote:“Your article ‘Muhammadu Buhari sparks dismay over policy shift on food imports’ (15 August) suggests the Nigerian Government is restricting the import of agricultural products into the country. This is simply incorrect. To be absolutely clear, there is no ban – or restriction – on the importation of food items whatsoever.
President Buhari has consistently worked towards strengthening Nigeria’s own industrial and agricultural base. A recent decision sees the CBN maintain its reserves to put to use helping growth of domestic industry in 41 products rather than provide forex for the import of those products from overseas.
Should importers of these items wish to source their forex from non-government financial institutions (and pay customs duty on those imports – increasing tax-take, something the FT has berated Nigeria for not achieving on many occasions) they are freely able to do so.
Diversification of forex provision towards the private sector and away from top-heavy government control, a diversification of Nigeria’s industrial base, and an increase in tax receipts – are all policies one might expect the Financial Times to support. Yet for reasons not quite clear, the author and this newspaper seem to believe the president’s administration seeks to control everything – and yet do so via policies that relinquish government control.
We look forward to the next instalment of Mr. Munshi’s bizarre and puzzling article series'' the statement read

Ultra Fast Keto Boost There is also no way to prevent it from being produced when carbohydrates are consumed, even if these are in excess of what the body needs for fuel. So, the more carbohydrates you consume, the more insulin the pancreas will produce to help digest the sugars of the carbohydrates. The more insulin that is being produced, the more stored fat will be sent to the cells, especially to those around your waist. I believe Dr. Atkins' diet may be useful for persons who are very sensitive to carbohydrates and have extremely slow metabolic rates. Dr. Atkins' diet does not restrict protein intake, which is the correct approach. However, his advice to add carbohydrate grams for the maintenance phase so that continued weight loss does not occur is not scientifically sound.

Which synthetic wig looks more natural

Probably everyone who wears a wig wants it to look more natural, so how can we tell how natural a synthetic wig is?
For now, Roman hair is the most natural hair.Roman hair can help women easily get a very real and realistic look.Nowadays, synthetic wigs have been so much improved in quality and naturalness that if you choose a high quality synthetic wig, people will have a hard time telling the difference from real hair.
Today we are going to talk about which synthetic wigs look more natural in three ways.

Wig material:
Synthetic fiber wigs are man-made fibers, such as acrylic fiber, polyester fiber, karon fiber and protein fiber, which are made into thin threads similar to human hair.Protein fiber is the fiber closest to human hair, but because of its high cost, synthetic hairpiece manufacturers rarely use it.At present, karon fiber is the most widely used material.
Wig style:
In the case of synthetic wigs, straight hair is the easiest to achieve a natural look.Sweet wavy hair can still achieve a soft and natural look without too much effort.Curly and bouncy curls may be brighter. Also, the smaller the curl, the more natural the wig will be.
Wig type:
The front lace wig is a great choice for wig wearers as it gives you a natural hairline. The lace is an almost perfect imitation of naturally growing hair, close to human skin, especially the hairline. You need to trim the lace part of your hair so that it blends well with your own hair so it looks more authentic.
Choosing a wig that suits you also takes into account your skin tone, face shape, style and care.Fanov Wig has been providing customers with high quality synthetic fiber wigs, you can also feel free to ask any questions about wigs here, we will give you the most professional answers.See you later.

How to remove glue from wig lace
User Avatar Forum: Market Place
Posted by: Ivy Wang - 08-19-2019, 09:29 AM - No Replies

When we are pleased with the truth and beauty that lace wigs bring to us, for many wig wearers, removing the wig and removing the glue from the shoelace is also a problem. Today we will provide you with some ways to remove the glue from the wig lace. I hope everyone can use these methods very well.
These are the items that need to be prepared when removing glue: isopropyl alcohol, bowls, sponges, acetone, oil, alcohol, cotton swabs or small soft brushes, mirrors.
Five ways to remove glue:
1. Prepare 99% isopropanol, pour isopropyl alcohol into a bowl, then immerse the sponge in isopropyl alcohol and gently scrub the wig with a soaked sponge to ensure that each corner is scrubbed. After about a minute or two, use your fingers to directly wipe the glue off the wig. Do not soak the entire wig in alcohol as this may damage your wig.
2. The excess glue on the wig is also separated by acetone. Remove the bowl, pour 100% pure acetone into the bowl and pick out the glued area in the acetone solution. Again, don't use acetone to give the entire wig, as doing so will damage your wig. Soak the wig for 10 minutes until the glue begins to dissolve and the dissolved adhesive will appear at the bottom of the bowl.
3. If your skin is sensitive, it is recommended that you use olive oil or coconut oil as a degumming agent. They are mild to the skin and can be used to remove added adhesives. Unlike alcohol, they do not evaporate or dry the skin. . Any type or brand of oil can be used because we just want to use it to reduce the stickiness of the glue. Apply a little oil to the wig and then use a hair dryer to blow the oil onto the wig. You should be aware that after 12 inches from the wig, heat it for 30 seconds to soften it, leave the oil on the hair for one minute, and pull the micelle to the end of the wig to which it is attached, repeating the process. Until the glue is completely removed.
4. Place a cotton swab or a soft brush on the alcohol and apply it along the edges to the wig. After a few minutes, until the gap is clearly detached from the wig, the glue is peeled off from the wig and then gently applied from one side. Go to the other side.
You can also use a mirror to help you get rid of the glue. If you remove the glue from the lace wig, you will find glue residue on the wig, then you can use the mirror to slide the wig's bonding area. The glue residue will bring the residue on the wig to the mirror.

Ok, this is the sharing today. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, bye!

With the afternoon games over Hakeem Butler Jersey , it’s time to reshuffle the playoff scenario deck. The AFC contenders, followed by the NFC contenders, are listed below, along with a description regarding what needs to happen in order to qualify and/or maximizing postseason positioning.Chiefs (11-4): The Chiefs have clinched a playoff berth. A win over the Raiders next weekend or a Chargers loss to the Broncos clinches the AFC West. A win over the Raiders also delivers the No. 1 seed in the AFC. A loss to the Raiders plus a Chargers win results in the Chiefs landing in the No. 5 seed.Patriots (10-5): They’ve clinched the AFC East for the 10th straight time. A win against the Jets next weekend would give New England its ninth straight first-round bye. A win over the Jets and a Chiefs loss to the Raiders would give the Patriots the No. 1 seed.Texans (10-5): The Texans have clinched a playoff berth, thanks to Pittsburgh’s loss to the Saints. The Texans now need a win against the Jaguars and a loss by the Patriots to the Jets to secure a bye. If the Chiefs and the Patriots lose next week, and the Texans win, the Texans would be the No. 1 seed. Losing next weekend would also result in losing the division crown to the winner of the Colts-Titans game. A Colts-Titans tie would deliver the AFC South to the Texans.Ravens (9-6): Thanks to that victory over the Chargers, the Ravens are in with a win next week over Cleveland or a Pittsburgh loss to the Bengals. Thanks to the Titans and Colts winning, the Ravens are out with a loss and a Pittsburgh win.Chargers (11-4): The Chargers can still win the AFC West by beating the Broncos in Denver, if the Chiefs lose at home to the Raiders. Absent that Chris Lindstrom Jersey , the Chargers will be the No. 5 seed.Titans (9-6): With Pittsburgh losing, next Sunday night’s game against the Colts becomes a win-and-in scenario. The Titans could win the division by beating the Colts, if the Texans lose to the Jaguars.Colts (9-6): The Colts have the same scenario as the Titans.Steelers (8-6-1): The Steelers are screwed, thanks to their loss to the Saints. They need to beat the Bengals and root for the Browns to beat the Ravens. If the Steelers win and the Browns and Ravens tie, the Steelers would win the tiebreaker with the Ravens based on a better division record.Dolphins (7-8): Their loss to the Jaguars eliminated Miami from playoff consideration.Saints (13-2): The win over Pittsburgh gives the Saints the No. 1 seed.Rams (12-3): They’ve won the NFC West, but nothing more yet. They’ll secure a first-round bye and the No. 2 seed with a win over the 49ers or a Bears loss to the Vikings. If the Rams lose and the Bears win, the Rams will fall to the No. 3 seed.Bears (11-4): The Bears can become the No. 2 seed if they beat the Vikings, and if the Rams lose to the 49ers. Otherwise, Chicago is locked in as the No. 3 seed.Cowboys (9-6): They’ve clinched the NFC East, and they’re locked in as the No. 4 seed.Seahawks (9-6): The Seahawks have clinched a playoff berth. A win next week over Arizona makes Seattle the No. 5 seed. If they lose and the Vikings beat Chicago http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/au...ary-jersey , the Seahawks would be the No. 6 seed.Vikings (8-6-1): The win over the Lions, combined with Philly’s win over the Texans, requires the Vikings to win next weekend to nail down a playoff berth, unless Eagles lose to Washington.Eagles (8-7): A win next weekend at Washington plus a Vikings loss would give the Eagles the No. 6 seed.Washington (7-8): The wins by the Vikings and Eagles have eliminated Washington.Panthers (6-9): The Panthers were eliminated by their loss to Atlanta. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Emmanuel Sanders couldn’t help himself. The 32-year-old wide receiver made a diving grab for his first catch in his first 7-on-7 drill of Denver’s training camp Wednesday.Nifty but maybe not necessary.“Yeah, I know. I’ve got to go watch that play. That’s what I kept telling the guys. ‘Did I have to dive?’ I don’t know if I had to dive,” Sanders said. “But you know what? When I got it, I said, ‘I’m back, baby!'”Sanders tore his left Achilles tendon in practice Dec. 5 Kendall Sheffield Jersey , cutting short a season in which he led the team with 71 catches for 868 yards and four touchdowns. He underwent surgery the next day and immediately declared he’d be back in six months.Courtland Sutton, the second-year pro who’s been the No. 1 receiver since Sanders was sidelined, loved seeing his fellow SMU alum make the kind of play that’s been his trademark.“It was amazing to be able to see him out there getting some 7-on-7 reps. It was so cool to be able to see him moving around against the defense and everything,” Sutton said. “The guy has been working his butt off, man. … You all saw it because he put it on his Instagram, pretty much every day, of how hard he was in there working, doing rehab, doing the runs, everything.“To see him go full-speed for the first couple of times it was awesome. There is a lot more coming from him. I hope you all know that we are going to get the Emmanuel Sanders back that everybody knows.”That would be a big boost to the Broncos‘ revamped offense led by new coordinator Rich Scangarello and new quarterback Joe Flacco.Without Sanders http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/au...sky-jersey , the Broncos have been relying on a young receiving corps and an equally young tight end group, both of which have been hit by injuries since training camp began a week ago.Tight end Jake Butt, coming back from a third ACL tear, missed his third consecutive practice Wednesday, and coach Vic Fangio said, “he’s hit a little pothole here in his road to recovery, but I don’t think it’s anything too, too serious at this point.”Receivers Juwann Winfree (leg) and River Cracraft (muscle) were held out Wednesday and DaeSean Hamilton didn’t finish practice after pulling a hamstring. So, Sanders’ workout was a godsend.Sanders said he doesn’t have a timetable for graduating to team drills or 1-on-1 sessions against defensive backs: “There’s really no rush,” he said Qadree Ollison Jersey , noting his goal is to be ready for the opener Sept. 9 at Oakland.“I do want to get back out there,” Sanders said. “I do want to go 1-on-1s and talk smack to Chris Harris Jr. and be myself. But at the same time, it’s a process and I have to respect that process.”With Sanders sidelined and a bevy of targets digesting the complicated West Coast offense 2.0, the first week of Broncos camp has been marked by numerous dropped passes.“I’m trying to take it easy on the young guys,” Sanders said. “Obviously, you see them over there, they’re on a Jugs machine right now. It’s the youngest group that I’ve been around. Nobody is over 25. I’m 32. We’ve got a very young group. We’re just trying to get these guys right.“It’s a lot of these guys’ first training camp or second or third training camp. They’re trying to make the roster. I know sitting on the sideline it looks easy. You think, ‘Oh, my grandma could have made that catch.’ But it’s a lot harder than you think.”

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY, 19TH AUGUST

MAKE HIS WORD KNOWN

For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts (Malachi 2:7).

In Christ, we’ve been made kings and priests unto God (Revelation 1:6). We have a ministry in Christ as king-priests of God, and in our opening verse, we read that the priest’s lips should keep knowledge. That means your lips should flow with the knowledge of God, to teach others the ways and life of the Kingdom.

The Living Bible Translation renders the latter part of our opening verse beautifully. It says, “...The priests are the messengers of the Lord Almighty, and men should come to them for guidance.” Then in 1 Peter 4:11, Peter writes, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

If anyone wants to know something about God, they should come to you. They should find the Word of God and the knowledge of the Lord in your mouth. You’re the custodian of divine knowledge, and of Kingdom information.

2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” God spreads the beautiful and pleasant fragrance of His knowledge through us, in every place. It’s your ministry, calling, and responsibility to make His Word known to the world.
Therefore, in the marketplaces of life—in your neighborhood, estate, place of work, everywhere— preach and teach the Word. Make pupils of those in your sphere of contact; teach them about God and the Kingdom-life.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for making me a minister of reconciliation. I take the message of Christ’s salvation to my world, making known the mysteries of your glorious Kingdom, bringing the oppressed out of bondage and darkness, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#TALKINGSESSION

19TH AUGUST.

Dear Lord, You’re the great God; the great King above all gods! In Your hand are the deep places of the earth, and the strength of the hills is Yours! For in You, I’ve been enriched in every way. You’ve been my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in You, and I’ve been mightily helped! For all You’ve done for me, my heart leaps for joy, and I give You all the praise, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. I thank You, Lord, for I am in the centre of Your will for my life.

Therefore, none of my steps shall slide, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I fear nothing, and no one because You are my shield and buckler. I dwell in safety, because in Christ I live, and move, and have my being! Today, I activate the supernatural life of prosperity, health, victory, strength, and promotion as I speak forth words of blessings, in faith, over my life and those of my loved ones. I live victoriously today, in faith, and in the glory of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God bless you

Patriots owner Robert Kraft kept a low profile at this week’s NFL owners meetings Darnell Savage Jr. Jersey , and the NFL leaned back on previous statements when asked about his status following his solicitation of prostitution charges.Commissioner Roger Goodell said at the conclusion of this week’s owners meetings that the league was still gathering information in the case.“I think we said several weeks ago, the Personal Conduct Policy applies to everybody,” Goodell said. “Commissioners. Owners. Executives. Players. Coaches. And it will be applied to everybody.“But it will be done after we get all the facts and we have all the information. We will be fair and smart about it, and that’s what we’ll do.”Goodell was asked later in the press conference about his thoughts on the case and a potential punishment, and again tried to push pause.“When we get all the information, we’ll make determinations,” he said. “I’m not going to speculate on where we are or my views on anything. Until we get all the information Elgton Jenkins Jersey , we’re not to make any discussions or any comments about that. The personal conduct policy is my responsibility.”Kraft would be subject to suspension or fines according to the policy. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He appeared at the meetings, but didn’t talk to reporters, and Goodell would not disclose any thoughts Kraft might have shared with the membership during the meeting, saying those meetings were confidential. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Packers interim head coach Joe Philbin said that it wasn’t easy to let associate head coach Winston Moss go from the coaching staff, but that he came to the decision because he “just didn’t feel like the fit right now was where it needs to be.”Philbin spoke on Wednesday before his first practice as the interim coach to replace the fired Mike McCarthy . Moss posted a message on Twitter on Tuesday that appeared to question that Packers leadership and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.“Find somebody that is going to hold #12 (Rodgers’ jersey number) and everybody in this building to a #LombardiStandard,” read part of Moss’ tweet Jace Sternberger Jersey , citing former Packers coach and Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi. When asked about the tweet, Philbin said the decision didn’t have to do with just one factor. He then recounted what he told the team earlier this week.“We’ve got to be professional, accountable, respectful and punctual — those are the four things that we’ve got to do the next four weeks,” he said. “And if we do all those things we’ll be in good shape.”Moss joined the Packers’ staff in January 2006, a week after McCarthy was hired as head coach. An NFL linebacker for 11 seasons, Moss primarily oversaw the outside linebackers. When longtime defensive coordinator Dom Capers was fired after last season Dexter Williams Jersey , Mike Pettine was hired as his replacement. The Packers turned to Philbin, the offensive coordinator and former Dolphins head coach, to take over for McCarthy for the last four games of the season.Moss’ limited interactions in recent years with the media were also often either brief or contentious.“Yeah I think it’s important obviously that everybody’s on the same page, that we’re all moving forward in the same direction. As you know, Winston’s an excellent football coach, I’ve known him a long time,” Philbin said. “Respect him Rock Ya-Sin Jersey , outstanding family man. So it wasn’t an easy decision, but I just didn’t feel like the fit right now was where it needs to be.”Defensive assistant Scott McCurley, a former assistant linebackers coach, will take over Moss’ duties, with Patrick Graham already coaching inside linebackers.

DAVIE Andy Isabella Jersey , Fla. (AP) — Quarterback Josh Rosen bid a gracious goodbye to Phoenix that included a pitch to his Arizona Cardinals successor, Kyler Murray.“An awesome two-bedroom in Old Town just came onto the market,” Rosen told Murray in a video posted Saturday on Twitter . “Let me know if you’re interested, and I think I can get you a pretty good deal.”Rosen is moving on to Miami and said he’s excited about the chance for a fresh start after a rocky rookie season with the Cardinals. They traded him Friday to the Dolphins for two draft picks. In the one-minute video, Rosen congratulated Murray on being the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, thanked his Arizona teammates and fans for their support, and wished the Cardinals well.“I know we didn’t win as many games as we all would have hoped Zach Allen Jersey , but I had an unbelievable time here,” Rosen said. “You guys are really getting a hell of player in Kyler Murray. He’s going to do great things.”In Miami, Rosen will compete for playing time with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, another Dolphins newcomer.“I couldn’t be more excited to become a Dolphin,” Rosen said. “I’m ready to attack this new chapter in my life and give you guys everything I have each and every day. My bags are packed and I’m on a flight first thing tomorrow morning. So get ready South Florida, and go Fins.”First-year Miami coach Brian Flores said his starting quarterback will be determined on the practice field.“Look, if you step into this building Hakeem Butler Jersey , you’ve got to be ready to compete,” Flores said. “When Josh gets here, he has to compete for any kind of role he has.”Arizona used the 10th overall pick on Rosen last year, and the former UCLA star finished 33rd in the 32-team NFL in passing rating, while the Cardinals ranked last in points and went 3-13.Rosen’s arm strength has never been doubted, but he comes to Miami with questions about his personality and leadership. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the team received unsolicited input from coaches who have known and worked with Rosen and said that reputation is inaccurate.“We don’t know him, but we’re going with the people we trust and know Chris Lindstrom Jersey ,” Grier said. “People have said this is really a good kid who is smart, he loves football, and he has a chip on his shoulder now.” Shane Lechler retired this week after sitting out the 2018 season. He didn’t have to call it quits, though, getting calls from the Vikings, Steelers and Chargers after the Texans cut him in favor of rookie Trevor Daniel on Sept. 1.“I had plenty of opportunities,” Lechler said Monday http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/auth...vai-jersey , via John McClain of the . “. . .I just didn’t want to do it anymore. I was content with ‘I’m done.’”Lechler, 42, finished his 18 seasons first in NFL history in yards per punt average at 47.6 and second in total yards with 68,676. He made seven Pro Bowls, earned six All-Pro nods and was on the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2000s.Could the Hall of Fame be the next stop for Lechler? He becomes eligible in four years and one day could join another former Raiders punter, Ray Guy, as the only players at the position with busts in Canton.“That would be amazing Kyler Murray Jersey ,” Lechler said. “I think Ray got in 14 years with the Raiders. I got in 13. That’s 27 years of punting in Oakland for the two of us.“If you make the Hall of Fame, you’ve made the last team you need to make. I’m not going to lie to you. That’s something out of my control. I put in the work, and we’ll just have to wait and see if it’s good enough.”

On Thursday afternoon Riley Ridley Jersey , a bizarre back and forth unfolded on Twitter regarding whether former Oilers/Titans and Rams coach Jeff Fisher will be coaching the XFL’s Houston franchise. On Friday morning’s , Charean Williams offered an intriguing alternative option, if Fisher and the XFL (who definitely have been talking) don’t reach a deal.Wade Phillips. The Rams defensive coordinator has the chops to be a head coach, but after three different stints in that role (and with the league skewing young when it comes to head coaches), a fourth NFL opportunity is unlikely. A first XFL opportunity could be compelling Greedy Williams Jersey , especially if it were to happen in the city where his dad, Bum, became a local legend as coach of the Oilers. The L.A. XFL franchise also has a vacancy, and as Charean mentioned during the show, Wade’s children and grandchildren live there. And maybe Sione Takitaki Jersey , if Wade were willing and the Rams and the XFL were cooperative, Phillips could work for the Rams and moonlight with the XFL, after the NFL season ends. However it plays out, there are some intriguing options for the final two XFL coaching spots. And landing a guy like Wade Phillips would go a long way to giving a specific team, and the league in general Sheldrick Redwine Jersey , plenty of credibility and legitimacy. The Latest on NFL free agency (all times EDT):11:15 p.m.A person with knowledge of the decision tells The Associated Press that the Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with Miami linebacker Cameron Wake on a three-year deal worth $23 million with $10 million guaranteed. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity Tuesday night because the signings won’t be official until the NFL’s new year begins Wednesday. ESPN.com first reported the deal.A five-time Pro Bowler, Wake has 98 career sacks in 10 seasons with the Dolphins. Wake, who turned 37 in January, had six sacks last season. With the Titans, he will help replace retired linebacker Brian Orakpo and linebacker Derrick Morgan Austin Seibert Jersey , who’s due to be a free agent. The Titans also agreed to terms earlier Tuesday with guard Rodger Saffold with a four-year deal worth $44 million with $22.5 million guaranteed, two people familiar with the agreement told the AP. Saffold, who played left guard the past three seasons for the Los Angeles Rams, is expected to replace Quinton Spain, who becomes a free agent Wednesday. The Titans are looking to better protect Marcus Mariota and improve an offensive line that helped allow 47 sacks last season. Lamar Miller Will Have Third-Highest Base Salary Of All NFL Running Backs In 2018 There has been an increasing uneasiness among the fanbase and media about the state of the running back position for the Texans. Injuries to D’Onta Foreman and Tyler Ervin devastated the depth of the team last season. Alfred Blue had to step up and become the backup for the second half of the season This led to Lamar Miller carrying the ball 238 times last year. Although the load was plentiful http://www.thetexanslockerroom.com/authe...ter-jersey , Miller only averaged 3.7 yards per rush and did not eclipse 900 yards rushing. More than two years later, the four-year, $26,000,000 deal Miller signed with the Texans in March of 2016 remains one of the most lucrative contracts for a running back in the entire league. Miller now enters the third year of that contract, due to make $5,750,000.00 according to Spotrac. Although players such as Dion Lewis, Rashaad Penny, and Jerick McKinnon will potentially make more cash this season, only Le’Veon Bell and LeSean McCoy have a larger base salary at the running back position entering 2018.Bell, probably the one of the most valuable offensive assets in the league Jadeveon Clowney Jersey White , ran the ball 321 times for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns last year. That doesn't even include his 655 yards and two touchdowns receiving. McCoy, the other running back to have a higher base salary than Miller, ran the ball for a comparable 287 times yet plowed through opposing teams for 1,138 yards and six touchdowns. Le’Veon Bell and LeSean McCoy are in such a different tier of talent that putting Lamar Miller in the same category is not reasonable. Yet the Texans pay Miller at an elite running back level without receiving elite results. You can point a finger at the putrid offensive line not giving Miller running lanes that result in big runs, but there comes a point when Miller has to create for himself. We have not seen any of that. After releasing RB Arian Foster after the 2015 season, the Texans were in need of a running back to carry the rock. Rick Smith, Bill O’Brien & Co. became mesmerized by Miller’s 2015 performance against Houston, when he rushed for 175 yards and one TD. That single performance and a hungry franchise resulted in Rick Smith overspending on the former Dolphin. Miller is like a plant. You’ve got to give him some air to breathe in order for him to grow. Give him a lane, and he has the speed to bust it. Give him a mosh pit, and he becomes hesitant approaching the line of scrimmage. Without a lane to penetrate, Miller stalls all his momentum http://www.thetexanslockerroom.com/authe...ler-jersey , waiting for a hole to open up. If the Texans don’t incorporate better running plays to match Miller’s skill-set and one-cut playing style, they will again waste his talent and the money they pay himWith the offensive line still in shambles, D’Onta Foreman coming off an Achilles tear and pressing for more carries, and Deshaun Watson looking to air out the ball like never before, Miller’s involvement should continue to dwindle for the Texans—making his contract even more of an eyesore. Let’s take a look at what some arm chair general managers think Brian Gaine should do this off season"Something about the off-season has always fascinated me. Maybe it’s the ripeness-of-potential teams have - the seemingly endless possibilities of roster upgrades; fantasy football in its penultimate incarnation. Maybe it’s a memory of childhood when we used to swap trading cards, dreaming of a perfect team. Or reminiscent of (re)building a roster on Madden football to fill all the depth chart holes that drive fans crazy. Whatever the allure actually is, it’s a thing for sure. This past week has had some head scratchers, thought provokers, promise-makers and a few that actually make a whole lot of sense. So, let’s dig in and discuss:From the Sporting News:23rd pick - Deionte Thompson, S, AlabamaWhile having a player like this certainly wouldn’t hurt Jordan Akins Jersey , with the far more immediate needs at offensive line and cornerback, spending their very first pick on what amounts to a “luxury” selection makes no sense at all - unless the Texans somehow manage to plug those other holes through free agency. Now, if they let Kareem Jackson and Tyrann Mathieu walk in free agency, this suddenly makes a little more sense... Bleacher Report adds one from the “Can’t seem to get this itch off my brain” file:Again, having a player like this would be great, but it’s a luxury Houston can’t afford with their first pick unless free agency is far more kind to them than ever before. ESPN gets in on the insanity: The Texans will sign Le’Veon Bell to a deal that eclipses Todd Gurley’sNothing about Le’Veon Bell speaks to Houston ever signing him. Sure on paper he could be a huge improvement over the Texans current running back options, but a guy willing to sit out an entire year is anything but someone trying to “be the best teammate I can be.” Which translates to a big “NO” from Texans’ brass. And, to round out the “are you out of your mind?!” options, Bleacher Report steps in again:Where is the upside to signing a player clearly on the back end of his career, who would be long odds to play 16+ games, to fill a role that desperately needs stability and chemistry in order to improve? Now, if Penn can be had for a 3rd day pick Tashaun Gipson Jersey White , then this starts to make a little more sense. But, giving up a 2nd rounder to rent a guy clearly ready to ride off into the sunset makes no sense at all. In sifting through all these, there is one unlikely source that brought some common sense to the “silly season” antics. iSportsWeb has some solid options: Signing Brown makes far more sense than giving up a 2nd rounder for Donald Penn.Targeting James as well as Trent Brown makes sense too. Hard to argue with this logic, either... This is the only partially-head scratching idea in the bunch from iSportsWeb, but the argument can be made to pul this trigger... And this one probably isn’t really on anyone’s radar, but really seems solid:Having an extra tackle that’s designated a tight end who can play like both is certainly something the Texans could use in their arsenal. Maybe we should add Sean Christensen to the masthead before he lands at Bleacher Report or some other site spouting crazy ideas and inane trade possibilities that only benefit other teams... What do you think? Agree/disagree with any of these? What’s the most off-the-wall, nonsensical prediction you’ve seen so far? Share it in the comments section so we can all continue to scratch our heads.

A CCTV footage has been released after a woman's phone went missing in a church.

According to reports, this happened in "La Redonda church in Guayaquil, Ecuador", and the thief caught on CCTV was identified as a parishioner.

In the CCTV footage, a kneeling woman can be seen; seriously praying in church with her eyes closed and hands together, she came with 2 bags and it can be seen behind her; on her seat.

A man in a kneeling position can be seen in the sitting row just behind the praying woman, the footage shows that the man was in a prayer mood too when he noticed the phone in the praying woman's bag and just then, he saw that moment as his golden opportunity, so he slipped the phone from the woman's bag into the nylon bag he was carrying.

The funny part? he did a sign of the cross before leaving the church!

IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu Places N1m Bounty On All Igbo Governors
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-18-2019, 10:47 PM - No Replies

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has placed a N1 million bounty on all the governors in the South East region, Igbere TV reports.

This was announced by leader of the group, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, during a worldwide broadcast on the IPOB official Facebook page, on Sunday.

Igbere TV reports that the affected governors are Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Willie Obiano (Anambra).

The announcement comes barely 24 hours after Senator Ike Ekweremadu, immediate past Deputy Senate President, was attacked by members of IPOB in Germany, on Saturday.

Kanu had earlier praised the act of his members, while sending a note of warning to the governors and Chief Nnia Nwodo, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

This is even as the IPOB issued a directive to its members across the world to attack the South East governors anywhere they are seen.

“Any informant with useful information about the presence and whereabout of any (South East) Governor in Europe or America will be rewarded with N1 million”, Nnamdi Kanu said.

A Nigerian Based In Turkey Dares Okorocha, Ikpeazu, Umahi To Visit Turkey.

The Young man speaking in Igbo was excited about the beating given to Ekweremadu.

He said he would have broken his head if he was in Germany.

He promised to brake the second leg of Okorocha if he sees him abroad.

The man he will not pity is Umahi of Ebonyi state.

IPOB has taken the battle to their leaders.

These men love abroad, they have houses there, their children and concubines are there. The receive medical treatment there.

This approach by IPOB will not go away soon.

I hereby move a motion that same treatment should apply to all Nigerian politicians seen anywhere in the world.

They stay back home and fix Nigeria. They will fix our hospitals and schools if they cant go to visit their kids any more

Crossover to APC before you die- Osinbajo advises PDP members

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has advised members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to quickly join the ruling APC before they die.

The Vice President gave the advice jokingly to PDP members when he spoke at the 80th birthday dinner of former National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, which held on Saturday August 17th.

The Vice President who told a story of an American Republican Senator who told his bewildered family on his dying bed that he wants to cross over to the Democrat republic, said

Quote:“Let me tell a story of politician who was a long time life Republican politician in the US. He was lying down on a sick bed and was about to die, and he said, ‘I want to change my party, I want to become a Democrat so that tomorrow it will be announced that a Democrat died not a Republican’. You can see that we politicians very faithful and very loyal indeed. I can only ask our friends in PDP also to ensure that they cross over before they die! It is time for them to cross over”

SERAP speaks on probe of Babangida, Jonathan, Yar’Adua eras by EFCC

 August 18, 2019

[Image: BBBBB24C-1D1E-4BE4-A359-AE1207574628.jpeg]
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has commended the reported probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of the government of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo over the $16 billion power project.
SERAP in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare on Sunday, described the EFCC’ probe as timely and an opportunity for the anti-graft agency to show that former heads of state and other high-ranking public officials are not immune from investigation and prosecution on allegations of grand corruption in Nigeria.
The organization also called for a probe into alleged squandering of a total of N11 trillion in the power sector between 1999 and 2015, and the unresolved case of the reported missing $12.4 billion oil windfall, allegedly spent between 1988 and 1993 by the government of former military dictator, General Ibrahim Babangida.”
SERAP added that prosecuting former heads of state and other high-ranking officials would address the grave travesty that has for many years occurred in the power sector.
The statement reads : “This probe is something, which SERAP has consistently called for. Nigerians have for far too long been denied justice and the opportunity to get to the bottom of why they continue to pay the price for corruption in the electricity sector–staying in darkness, but still made to pay crazy electricity bills.

“According to reports , the EFCC has begun the probe of the $16 billion power project of the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“While some put the exact cost of the project at $16 billion others say it is $13.8 billion. Key contractors and about 18 top public officers allegedly involved in the power project scam during the Obasanjo administration, and those of former Presidents Umaru Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan, may also be arrested.
“The probe is timely, especially coming at a time of citizens’ frustrations at persistent allegations of corruption and the impacts on their human rights.
“Investigating allegations of grand corruption and prosecuting former heads of state and other high-ranking officials where such allegations show relevant and sufficient admissible evidence would address the grave travesty that has for many years occurred in the power sector.
“The EFCC should urgently invite anyone suspected to be involved for questioning.
“The agency should also expand the probe to cover the alleged squandering of a total of N11 trillion in the power sector between 1999 and 2015, and the unresolved case of the reported missing $12.4 billion oil windfall, allegedly spent between 1988 and 1993 by the government of former military dictator, General Ibrahim Babangida.
“The EFCC has the full support of Nigerians in its efforts to hold high-ranking public officials to account for grand corruption, and if consistently, fairly and diligently pursued, this probe would contribute to ending impunity for corruption, and to mobilizing and encouraging youth civic engagement in the anti-graft fight in the country. SERAP stands ready to work with the EFCC in pursuing all allegations of grand corruption.
“SERAP notes that former presidents have routinely faced corruption charges in countries like Iceland, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Montenegro, South Korea, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Slovakia, Peru, and Mauritius, and the probe by the EFCC would mean this list would grow even further to include Nigeria.
“Impunity for grand corruption will continue as long as high-ranking public officials go largely unpunished for their alleged crimes. It is by pursuing these allegations and taking the evidence before the court that the truth will be revealed and justice best served. Addressing impunity in the power sector should be total. This would help to further public perception of fairness and thoroughness.
“Lack of regular electricity supply in the country had occasioned many other problems, including lack of access to potable water. The failure by successive governments to tell Nigerians the truth about allegations of corruption in the power sector amounts to a failure to ensure that electricity services are progressively made available, on the basis of equality and non-discrimination.”
“In November 2016, SERAP petitioned the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, urging him to probe the alleged spending of the $16 billion. In April 2017, SERAP sent President Muhammadu Buhari an open letter, advising him to take allegations of corruption in the power sector to the international criminal courts to ensure that justice is served.
“SERAP has also called on Mr Buhari to refer the alleged $16 billion spending on electricity between 1999 and 2007 to the EFCC. Mr Buhari subsequently raised questions over the issues, saying that ‘one of the former Heads of State was bragging that he spent more than 15 billion American dollars, not naira, on power. Where is the power? Where is the power?

The Senator representing Plateau North, Istifanus Gyang has described medical tourism as a conspiracy by the elite for the collapse of healthcare system in the country.
He also blamed leadership failure of “political elites” whom he said are supposed to provide effective healthcare delivery with good personnel for the citizenry, but have neglected doing so because they can afford private care abroad.

Gyang stated this when he visited the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) on a familiarization tour of all federal establishments/institutions located in his Senatorial District.
He said, “When leaders who are charged with the responsibility feel they have no need for public health systems because they can afford private health care at home or abroad, ordinary citizens bear the brunt.
“The effective health systems abroad that are being patronised by Nigerian leaders only exist because they were developed, and are consistently maintained, through political commitment and visionary leadership qualities that are clearly lacking today in Nigeria.”

The lawmaker decried how political leaders run abroad for medical tourism, assuring that the National Assembly will take practical steps to push for laws to curb the shameful practice in the country.
He lamented the present situation of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) that was saddled with the mandate of taking care of the North Central States, have been reduced to symbolic edifices due to political negligence.
According to him, “The reason for my visit is to see the areas that will add value to this foremost Hospital in Plateau State and also to legislate for additional funding to take care of facilities, equipment and develop the personnel of this health institution”.

“I am so concerned about the health sector in Nigeria that is why on the floor of the Senate when we were discussing about the primary healthcare and the collapse of healthcare delivery at that level which has now brought a lot of pressure not only to secondary but also tertiary level.”
He further maintained that because of the collapse of primary healthcare, the burden has shifted to JUTH and other tertiary health facilities in the country.
Gyang, who is the Deputy chairman Senate Committee on Defence, however commended former President Olusegun Obasanjo for building of the Jos University Teaching Hospital permanent site and also appreciated the former Plateau governor, Senator Jonah Jang for constructing the road that links the hospital to Jos, the state capital.

Kidnapper 'Wadume' Linked With Ex-General, Ishaya Bauka, Politicians

Why Police Flew Under Radar To Arrest Suspect

.....How Gov, Army Rift Led To Murder Of Policemen

Quote:Nicholas Uwerunonye

The inability of security agencies to arrest Hamisu Bala, alleged kidnap kingpin, popularly known as ‘Wadume’, has continued to fuel the insinuations that Bala has ties with army operation in Taraba and other conflict areas of North East.

Bala, an alleged notorious kidnapper was at the centre of the tragic Army/police confrontation that led to the killing of three members of the crack Inspector General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

So far, search for the fugitive has yielded nothing. “It is very much like Wadume vanished into thin air all of sudden,” explained a security source in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.

This, according to the source couldn’t have been possible unless the fugitive is well connected.

“We wouldn’t be surprised if Wadume winds up dead because the manner of his rescue from police arrest by a crack team like IRT leaves so many questions unanswered” the source added.
While this may be purely speculative, the method of the fugitive’s escape appears to give credence to this thinking.

Wadume strangely escaped custody despite being under police standard lockdown with hands cuffed to the back and legs in manacles. Police authorities have queried the Army who ambushed the team of police operatives on why the suspect wasn’t taken into custody and processed for future reference.

Even more, Sunday Independent investigations revealed what appears to be a strong link between the suspect and local politicians in Taraba State.

For instance, Gen. Ishaya Bauka (Rtd), a senatorial candidate in the state in the last general election in February, is believed to have been in bed with him as a political associate.
The General had contested against the Taraba South Senate slot under the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with others, but was defeated by a rampant politician, Emmanuel Bwacha, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

When asked by Sunday Independent what his relationship with the fugitive is, the retired Army chief answered in the oblique: “Who told you that he is my associate?”
When asked to explain that multiple sources in Ibi made the link to him, the General clammed up, stating that he would rather wait for the outcome of the ongoing investigation being carried out on the killing of the police before talking.

But as Sunday Independent told the General, multiple sources in the Jalingo and Ibi Wadume’s riverine locality, say that the fugitive has long been an associate of politicians, police officers and Army men station in Taraba.

With his deep pocket suspected to be proceeds of crime, Wadume has been a regular donor to political campaigns, charity and other contributions. He is believed to have worked extensively for the retired General during the election in Ibi.

In the run up to the election in February, the fugitive was said to have bought speed boats for locals with the aim of wooing them politically to his side.

Again, the General was mute on this report. Efforts made to reach the state’s APC, chairman, Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, was not fruitful as he repeatedly declined picking calls made to his phone.

Police sources have rebuffed speaking officially on the matter since the probe commenced, but back channel efforts by Sunday Independent also yielded insight into the background leading to the Taraba police killing tragedy.

A senior officer in intelligence gathering in the police hinted that they were well aware of Wadume’s possible links with security officers in the state.

“We flew into the state on a need-to-know basis because there were credible intelligence that the suspect might be tipped off of our presence. The IRT is an elite investigative team with experience in tracking and effecting arrest of high profile suspects. They take a lot of factors into account in doing their tasks. So the Taraba matter was treated with the professionalism required,” explained the police officer.

But there are other angles to the matter and this has to do with the unending silent rift between the Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, and the Nigerian Army.

For some, observers and insiders, the tiff may well account for the avoidable murder of three police officers along Jalingo-Ibi Road.

Governor Ishaku and high ranking indigenes of the state believe, and have been open about it, that elements responsible for the conflict in the state are strongly embedded in the Army operations in the state. Theophilus Danjuma, retired General, former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), had once sensationally alluded to a collusion between Army in Taraba and herdsmen militias then on killing rampage with equal reprisals from locals in Taraba.

The Governor had also been involved in open altercation with the Army high command on the matter, for which both he and the soldiers have traded accusations bordering on partisanship in the conflict.

“Operations such as the one going on Taraba can only be successful if the Army or any security agency has the maximum support of the state governor,” explained a security source in Jalingo.

According to him, the absence of such critical support exposed the Army to remote manipulation by men like Wadume with deep pockets and with ties to politicians.

Though President Mohammadu Buhari has ordered a probe of the incident that led to the killing of the three police officers and the investigating team comprising men of the Police, Department of State Services (DSS) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) have since swung into action on their mandate, Sunday Independent findings revealed troubling level of mistrust between the Army, on the one hand, the state government and members of the public on the other hand.

“It is an open secret that state governors provide huge logistics, reliable intelligence for security operations in conflict areas. With the volatile situation in Taraba, the Army will need to rely on willing partners. This is what men like Bala (kidnap kingpin) has been providing for the Army and other security agencies by proxy,” explained another security source.

This position was further heightened by Pogu Bitrus, the national president, Middle Belt Forum (MBF), who said “The recent killing of the police operatives on a covert assignment in the state after arresting and handcuffing Wadume, justified Danjuma’s allegations that the military is indeed colluding with insurgent elements to invade communities.”

Nigerian Govt Not Fiscally Transparent, Says U.S.
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-18-2019, 06:10 PM - No Replies

Quote:The U.S. has classified the Nigerian government among those that are not fiscally transparent.

The classification, contained in a report released Thursday by the U.S Department Of State, means Nigeria’s budgeting process, including its contracting and licensing processes in the extractive industry, did not meet the standards required of the American government.

The report, called the 2019 Fiscal Transparency Report, covers January 1 to December 31, 2018.

It assessed the fiscal transparency of 141 national governments that receive U.S assistance.

Seventy-four of the 141 governments met the minimum requirements of fiscal transparency, while 13 of the 67 that fell short of the standards made “significant progress”, the report said.

Nigeria is neither among the 74 that met the minimum requirements nor among the 13 adjudged to have made significant progress.

Some of the African countries classified alongside Nigeria are Egypt, Ethiopia, and the Gambia.

Gabon, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Togo, Tanzania, Sudan, South Sudan, Niger, Mozambique, Mali, Lesotho, and Cameroon are also among the African countries whose governments failed the U.S transparency assessment.

China, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, and Ukraine are among non-African countries that failed to meet the American government requirements.

“During the review period, the government made its executive budget proposal, enacted budget, and end-of-year report accessible to the general public, including online. The executive budget proposal and the enacted budget, however, were not published within a reasonable period of time,” the report said of Nigeria.

“Information on debt obligations was publicly available.Budget documents provided detailed estimates for revenue and expenditure but did not include allocations to and earnings from state-owned enterprises. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation did not have fully audited financial reports that were available to the public.

“The government maintained off-budget accounts not subject to adequate oversight or audit.Due to oil price fluctuations, actual revenues and expenditures varied significantly from estimated figures making budget documents unreliable.”

The report said, for Nigeria’s fiscal transparency to improve, the government must take the following actions:

Publishing its executive budget proposal and enacted budget within a reasonable period of time.

Detailing allocations to and earnings from state-owned enterprises.

Improving the reliability of budget documents by producing and publishing a supplemental budget when actual revenues and expenditures do not correspond to those in the enacted budget.

Making full audit reports for significant, large state-owned enterprises publicly available.

Subjecting off-budget accounts to adequate audit and oversight and making information on such accounts publicly available.

The U.S. said the report did not assess corruption, but that lack of fiscal transparency could encourage corruption.

“A finding that a government ‘does not meet the minimum requirements of fiscal transparency’ does not necessarily mean there is significant corruption in the government.Similarly, a finding that a government ‘meets the minimum requirements of fiscal transparency’ does not necessarily reflect a low level of corruption,” the report said.

The U.S said the report was done with inputs from international organisations and civil society organisations.

UK jails Samuel Nwankwo, a Nigerian who swallowed 67 wraps of cocaine before taking a flight from Brazil to London

Samuel Nwankwo, a Nigerian resident in Eastfield in Peterborough, UK, who swallowed 67 wraps of cocaine before taking a flight from Brazil to London has been jailed for four years.

He was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court and the drugs were also ordered to be destroyed. He had previously pleaded guilty to one count of fraudulent evasion on the importation of a prohibited Class A drug.

Nwankwo, born 25th November 1991, was stopped by Border Police at Terminal 3 London Heathrow as he alighted from a Latam Airlines flight from Sau Paulo on February 11th 2019.

He had been to Brazil for five days and had no checked baggage with him. He claimed he went to visit his wife and was short on annual leave. A body scan at the airport revealed suspicious shapes inside Nwankwo. He was then taken to a hospital for a CT scan where dozens of concealed packages were identified inside him.

Quote:Cindy Fayefunmi, from the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Importing drugs by ingestion is illegal and could lead to lethal consequences.
Nwankwo was lucky to be alive after swallowing such a large quantity of cocaine. The CPS takes the trafficking of illegal drugs extremely seriously and will prosecute those who flout drug rules.”

The cocaine found in Nwankwo equated to 67 ‘swallower’ wraps with the average purity of 77.1 per cent. The estimated value of the amount he had was £82,210.

#BBNaija: Big Brother orders Frodd into the Diary room after he tried to forcefully have sex with Esther (video)

An incident happened in the Big Brother show last night that is trending right now on Social media.

One of the contestants of the reality TV show, Frodd was called into the Diary room after he tried to forcefully have sex with his fellow housemate and love interest, Esther.

It all started after the Saturday night party. Frodd and Esther had danced their hearts out, whispering love words to each. They giggled and threw themseleves at each other as lovers would do.
Afterwards, everyone retired to their bed to catch some sleep. Frodd who was apparently high on alcohol and love, jumped on Esther's bed, pulled his boxers halfway and attempted to have sex with her without her consent.

Shocked by his action, Esther pushed him away and warned him seriously, stressing that she was not playing with him.

He replied saying how come she still has plenty energy as he thought she was constipated.

This caught the attention of Big Brother who immediately ordered him into the Diary room.

Father of Utah kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart comes out as gay, says 'I was attracted to men going as far back as 12 years old'

Ed Smart, the father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, who was abducted in 2002 has announced he is gay, divorcing his wife, and is also leaving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Smart, 64, of Salt Lake City said in a letter shared on his Facebook page that he no longer feels comfortable being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which opposes gay marriage and same-sex relationships but preaches love and compassion for LGBTQ people.

"It is with this same spirit that I wish to share the news that I have recently acknowledged to myself and my family that I am gay,'' he wrote. "The decision to be honest and truthful about my orientation comes with its own set of challenges, but at the same time it is a huge relief."

Smart has five children with his wife, Lois, who filed for divorce on July 5, according to court records obtained by The Salt Lake City Tribune.

"I love my family and always will,'' he wrote. "Lois has been a loyal wife, and extraordinary mother, who has had to endure an impossible part of this journey. I deeply regret the excruciating pain this has caused her.

"Hurting her was never my intent. While our marriage will end, my love for Lois and everyone in my family is eternal. I believe that love is what binds us together. While there are wounds right now, I also know our Savior can help heal the damage which this revelation has brought. Through Christ love will outlast the grief."

"As an openly gay man, the Church is not a place where I find solace any longer,'' he wrote. "It is not my responsibility to tell the Church, its members or its leadership what to believe about the rightness or wrongness of being LGBTQ. I can only believe what I feel is right, but it is my responsibility to continue to grow, progress and mature as a child of loving Heavenly Parents, and to do that in a way that is spiritually healthy for me."

“I have mostly watched in silence for years as many LGBTQ individuals both in and out of The Church [of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints] have been victims of ridicule, shunning, rejection and outright humiliation,” Smart wrote.

He added: “I didn’t want to face the feelings I fought so hard to suppress, and didn’t want to reach out and tell those being ostracized that I too am numbered among them. But I cannot do that any longer.”

"I was attracted to men going as far back as 12 years old," he told CNN. "I tried to suppress that; it's not me, not who I am. I tried to put that out."

His daughter, Elizabeth, 31, also provided a statement to TODAY following her father's announcement.
"My parents taught me as a young child that they would love me unconditionally no matter what happened," she said. "While I am deeply saddened by their separation, nothing could change my love and admiration for them both. Their decisions are very personal. As such, I will not pass judgment and rather am focusing on loving and supporting them and the other members of my family."

Mr.Smart and his family made major headline in 2002, when Elizabeth, then 14, was abducted from their home in the Federal Heights neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. Elizabeth said she was kept tethered to a tree and raped repeatedly during her captivity.

In 2003, she was found walking down a Utah street with her kidnappers, just 5 miles from her home.

"Never wanted to live with regret," he said. "My belief was something that was very difficult to come to terms with. I tried and I tried to reconcile my beliefs, and I could not. Therefore, I no longer accept the guilt and the shame that I have basically had my whole life."

Smart said he hasn't removed his name from the church, though "if they were to push me to do so, I would." For now, he's still a member, but he said religion makes it very difficult to identify with something "that is so put down upon."

"The trauma that occurs -- keeping that inside -- it makes you miserable," he said. "I don't think God wants us to be miserable."

"I was attracted to men going as far back as 12 years old," he told CNN. "I tried to suppress that; it's not me, not who I am. I tried to put that out."

IPOB members vow to attack South East governors attending functions abroad

Members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB,  have stated that they have a standing order to attack the governors of Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia and Enugu as well as other prominent indigenes of the South East attending functions abroad.

This comes hours after former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu was attacked at the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo in Nurnberg, Germany, yesterday Saturday August 17th.

IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, in a chat with Punch, said the state governors have been marked for attacks if they dare come abroad for any function. According to Powerful, the South East governors are traitors who have sold the lives of their people to their oppressors.

Making particular reference to the Operation Python Dance set up by the Military to curb the activities of Biafrans in the South East, Powerful said the South East governors over the years have watched as the military maimed their members without any just course.

He added that the governors watched as the Federal government proscribed and tagged IPOB a terrorist group but have remained silent as Fulani herdsmen continue to carry out series of attacks in the South East.

Quote:Today (Saturday), the Nuremberg IPOB family in Germany, in keeping with the long-standing directive from our leader to hound all instigators of the Operation Python Dance, is glad to report that Ike Ekweremadu was confronted and duly hounded out of a so-called New Yam Festival event in Germany.
Despite repeated warnings to the organisers of this jamboree that Enugu, Ebonyi and other parts of ‘Biafraland’ is under siege by the Fulani caliphate and their collaborators within, they went ahead to invite a known traitor, co-conspirator and one of those who worked with Igbo governors to proscribe and tag IPOB a terror organisation while they never raised any voice against the murderous Fulani herdsmen.
This should serve as a warning to Nnia Nwodo, Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu, Willie Obiano and others that any day we find them in a public event abroad, they will be humiliated. IPOB is strategically located in over 100 countries around the world. Anywhere we find them, they will be dealt with.” Powerful said

Biafra: Ijaw Youths Stop Asari Dokubo From Holding Meeting In Bayelsa.
User Avatar Forum: News

Quote:Olorogun was said to be angry that Dokubo chose Bayelsa, a homogeneous Ijaw state, to hold such meeting and ordered the founder of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF) to leave the state or face the wrath of the youths.

It was learnt that Dokubo, who recently declared his support for the actualisation of Biafra, gathered over 300 persons from across the states in the South-East and South-South to hold the meeting.

The meeting was reportedly convened under the auspices of the Biafra National Council (BNC) and not the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Confirming the development, Olorogun said over 300 persons including Dokubo were already gathered at a hotel in Yenagoa when he led Ijaw youths to the place.

He said quarrel ensued between him and Dokubo when he told the former militant leader that the meeting would not hold in Ijawland.

“When we got the information, we stormed the venue of the meeting to stop them.

“They tried to resist us but we told them we were prepared for them because we will not allow any part of Bayelsa to be used for a meeting calling for the actualisation of Biafra.

“I wonder why Dokubo decided to bring such meeting to Bayelsa. But we stopped them.

“It was getting out of hand but the police intervened to stop possible violence. My happiness is that we stopped the meeting from holding”.

Supreme Slim Keto be genuinely like 20-30 g/day. When discovering carbs, one is permitted to utilize net carbs, which means firm carbs short fiber and sugar alcohols. Net carbs is to join just carbs that progress glucose and insulin. Fiber does not have any metabolic or hormonal effect thus do most sugar alcohols. The shocking case is maltitol, which can have a non-minor effect .

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY, 18TH AUGUST

THE TIME IS SHORT

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (Luke 21:25-26).

Deliberate cruelty, violence, terrorism, man’s viciousness and inhumanity to his fellow man, are on the rise today. Statistics show that not only is the world more wicked and in a more desperate situation, the pressures of life are greater today than ever before.

This is a clear indication that we’re in the last days, which Jesus gave us a hint about in our opening scripture. World leaders remain perplexed and completely at a loss as to how to solve these myriads of problems. Sadly, more and more people are looking up to them for answers or for solutions, which they surely can’t provide. But we have the answer: the solution is Christ and His glorious Gospel.

Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). He didn’t tell us that everybody will believe; but it’s our job to tell the whole world. We’ll be held accountable for the information at our disposal.

Therefore, we must, with unfettered urgency of the Spirit, preach the Gospel to the whole world. The dark places of the earth are filled with the habitations of cruelty, but we’re the light to a dark world. We bear the light of the Gospel. Therefore, light up your world with the Gospel.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.” In Mark 16:15, He further emphasized, “...Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Take this mandate seriously.

Your dreams must go beyond yourself; take up the course of the Gospel. Put in your time, resources and energy, and preach it with much urgency until it reaches the ends of the earth!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege of preaching and proclaiming the Gospel, which is your power unto salvation, to all men. I declare that the Gospel spreads evermore, permeating homes, schools, and institutions, convicting the hearts of many and turning them to righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ekweremadu speaks on IPOB attack in Germany

 August 17, 2019

Former Deputy President of the Nigeria Senate, Ike Ekweremadu has reacted to the attack on him by some suspected members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Senator, who gave the account of the event on his social media handle, @iamekweremdu, however, assured Ndigbo and his supporters across the nation that he was safe.

Narrating the incident, Ekweremadu said: “I attended the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurnberg today where I was billed to give a keynote address along with the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, who, however could not make it eventually.
“I was given a resounding welcome by Ndigbo in Germany and everything went smoothly until some men, who identified themselves as IPOB members stormed the venue and began to complain about the killings in the South East, stressing that there would be no Igbo event at the venue.
“I tried to engage them, but when they became unruly, I had to leave the venue. The organisers also invited the police and I was accompanied out of the venue.

“Much as I am disappointed in their conduct, especially as I am one of the persons, who have spoken up on justice for Ndigbo, the Python Dance, judicial killings in Igbo land and elsewhere both on the floor of the Senate and in my written and personal engagements with the Presidency and the media as well as rallied the South East Senate Caucus to secure Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe taking him on bail to douse tension in the South East, I nevertheless do not hold this to heart against them, for they know not what they do.
“I have received thousands of solidarity calls and messages from well meaning Ndigbo. I want to assure them that I am hail and hearty. I have also spoken with the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar”.

Abike Dabiri, Ohaneze Ndigbo Condemn Attack On Sen. Ekweremadu In Germany
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-18-2019, 08:36 AM - No Replies

The chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has condemned the attack on the former deputy senate president, and a serving senator, Ike Ekweremadu at the 2nd Annual Igbo cultural festival in Nuremberg, Germany.

In a statement on Saturday, Dabiri said the incident was an embarrassment to the country and called on the German government and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the perpetrators were made to face full consequences for their actions.

She said that it was shameful and pathetic that an event which was put together by Ndigbo community in Germany and whose members comprised of the majority of Nigerians living in Germany, to amongst other things provide a forum for the Diasporans and various stakeholders to network and facilitate a better cooperation between German and Nigerian businesses, ended up in such a disgraceful manner.

She appealed to Nigerians to be of good behavior wherever they found themselves because such incidents had the capacity to tarnish the image of the country.

Meanwhile the Igbo apex socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo also expressed shock over the incident and asked Germany law enforcement agency to fish out the perpetrators.

A statement by the president-general of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, Dr. Nnia Nwodo, described the action as 'un-Igbo' and lamented that Ekweremadu who had always been in the forefront of fighting Igbo cause did not deserve the kind of treatment meted out to him by the pro-Biafra agitators.

He said, "The assault on Ekweremadu by Igbos in Germany, described as IPOB, is disappointing, grotesque and dangerous for Igbo solidarity.

This violent, rude, impertinent, divisive and discourteous style of IPOB or IPOB instigated miscreants is damaging to our cause.

It strengthens the case of those who describe them as terrorists and weakens our case against the infringement of our fundamental human rights.

"Ekweremadu negotiated the sureties and securities for Nnamdi Kanu’s release on bail. He does not deserve this picketing and disgrace.

A disgrace to him is a disgrace to Igbo race. Whilst I condemn the attack on our revered son and leader, I call on the law enforcement agencies in Germany to bring to book the perpetrators of this despicable act. It is un-Igbo. It is disgraceful.

469 Senators, Reps To Pocket 191,954 Civil Servants’ Monthly Salaries
User Avatar Forum: News
Posted by: Edoman - 08-18-2019, 08:34 AM - No Replies

The monthly salaries of the 469 lawmakers in the two chambers of Nigeria’s National Assembly will pay the monthly salaries of 191,954 civil servants in the country, at the rate of N30,000 new minimum wage, SUNDAY PUNCH has found.

It was also gathered that the lawmakers earn far more than their counterparts in other parts of the world, including developed countries.

Nigeria’s bicameral legislature comprises 109 senators and 360 members of the House of Representatives drawn from across the country.

Meanwhile, the annual take-home pay of a member of the House of Representatives, the lower chamber of the National Assembly, stands at N136.68m at a monthly take-home pay of N11.39m.

At the Central Bank of Nigeria’s exchange rate of N305 to a dollar, a member of the House of Representatives earns $37,341.53 per month and $448,098 per annum.

In the upper legislative chamber, a senator’s take-home pay is N182,060,000 per annum at the rate of N15,171,666.66 a month, which translate to $596,918.03 per annum and $49,743.17 per month respectively.

The Federal Government had recently increased the country’s minimum wage from N18,000 to N30,000 ($98.36). Even though it has yet to be implemented, when it eventually takes effect, the emolument of a senator would be 505.72 times the minimum wage.

This also means that a senator’s monthly take-home pay can pay the salaries of 506 workers earning the minimum wage while that of a representative can pay that of 380 workers.

This implies that the monthly salaries of the 109 senators would pay the salaries of 55,154 civil servants at N30,000 per month while the salaries of the 360 members of the House of Representatives would pay the salaries of 136,800 civil servants.

In a related development, the emoluments of lawmakers in Nigeria are more than what many other lawmakers take across the globe, even in economically advanced nations where per capita income is much higher than that of Nigeria.

Per capita income, also known as average income, measures the average income earned per person in any given geographical location. If the gross domestic product of a country is divided by the population, what each individual gets is the per capita income.

Thus, Nigeria’s per capita income is $2,049.

Also, the take-home pay of a Nigerian senator is therefore 281.56 times higher than the country’s per capita income, while that of a member of the House of Representatives is 218.69 times higher than the per capita income.

But in the United States, for instance, where per capita income is $60,200 (as of 2017), the 435 congressmen and 100 senators take basically the same amount, that is $174,000 per annum, which is only 2.89 times the country’s per capita income.

In effect, therefore, despite the fact that the per capita income of the United States is 29.38 times higher than Nigeria’s, the emolument of a Nigerian senator is 3.43 times higher than their US counterpart. And for the lower chamber, the emolument of a representative in Nigeria is 2.57 times higher than what a member of the US House of Representatives earns.

The minimum wage in the United States, which has a population of about 327.2 million people, is $7.25 per hour and that translates to about $1,160 (N353,800) per month. But in Nigeria, with about 180 million people, the minimum wage is still N18,000 ($59.02) per month.

However, the United States has a Gross Domestic Product of $21.3tn as of 2018, being the largest economy in the world while Nigeria has GDP of $375.8bn as of 2017.

In neighbouring Ghana, lawmakers get GHS11, 000 per month. This translates to $2,048.36 or (N624,749.[Image: cool.png]per month. Ghana has a unicameral legislature with 275 members that serve its 28.83 million people. It has a GDP of $65.56bn (2018) and per capita income of $4,490, more than two times Nigeria’s per capita income.

At $37,341.53 per month for their lawmakers, the earnings of a member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives is 18.23 times higher than what a Ghanaian lawmaker earns while that of a senator is 24.29 times higher.

The minimum wage in the West African country which joined the league of oil producing countries a few years ago is GHc9.68 per day, which translates to $290.4 per month.

When Ghanaian lawmakers called for wage increase a few years ago, some of them argued that they were poorly remunerated when compared to what Nigerian lawmakers earned.

The United Kingdom runs a parliamentary system of government, which implies that some of their cabinet members are parliamentarians. It has the House of Lords as well as the House of Commons.

Members of the House of Lords who are appointed (or by inheritance) do not take any salary. However, they could claim £300 as sitting allowance. The ordinary member earns a salary of £79,468 per annum which translates to $99,952.86.

The House of Commons is made up of 650 members that serve the country with a population of 66.04 million (2017) people.

The official site of the United Kingdom’s parliament said, “The basic annual salary for an MP (Member of Parliament) from 1 April 2019 is £79,468. MPs also receive expenses to cover the costs of running an office, employing staff, having somewhere to live in London or their constituency, and travelling between parliament and their constituency.”

According to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which regulates and administers what accrues to British parliamentarians, the earnings of British parliamentarians are adjusted every year on April 1 to reflect current economic realities in the country.

It noted that annual changes in MPs’ pay were linked to changes in the average earnings in the public sector using Office for National Statistics figures.

Current statistics show that the per capita income of Britain stands at $43,160, which is 21.06 times higher than Nigeria’s per capita income. The country has a GDP of $2.62tn.

Kenya is reportedly one of the countries in Africa where lawmakers earn outsized incomes. Report from Africa Check showed that the country’s lawmakers get $7,200 per month.

Other benefits accruing to the East African lawmakers include personal car loan up to $67,400. The loan is, however, repayable at three per cent interest rate. They are also entitled to an official car grant of $48,000 per five year term (This means $9,600 per annum or $800 per month) and car maintenance of $3,440 per month as well as a mortgage of $190,000.

Excluding mortgage and car loan, therefore, a Kenyan lawmaker is entitled to $11,440 per month. This pales into significance when compared to a Nigerian rep’s $37,341.53 per month and a senator’s N49,743.17 per month.

Kenya, which has a population of 49.7 million persons, has a per capita income of $3,657 (2018) and its GDP is estimated at $98.26bn for 2019. The minimum wage in the country is 13,572 KES which translates to $132.39 or N40,378.95.

Thus, the earning of a lawmaker in Kenya can pay the wages of 86 persons on the country’s minimum wage. The parliament is made up of 349 members.

Given the criticisms of lawmakers’ wages in Kenya, despite that it is higher than what those in Nigeria earns, there had been an attempt to reduce the earnings by 15 per cent, but it could not be ascertained as of the time of this report if the process scaled through or not.

In Canada, a country with a per capita income of $48, 601 (2019) and $1.8tn GDP, members of the House of Commons earn $172,700 per annum. The House is made up of 338 members that serve its population of 37.06 million people. Senators who are appointed by the Governor General earn $142,400 per annum and the senate is made up of 105 members.

The minimum wage in Canada is 11.06 CAD per hour which translates to about CAD1,769 (N483,383) per month.

The earnings of Canadian lawmakers are adjusted on April 1 taking into consideration the inflation rate and other prevailing economic realities.

In South Africa, a member of the parliament earns about 1,106,940 Rand which translates to $78,153.84.

This means that the earnings of a representative in Nigeria is 5.73 times higher than what a lawmaker makes in South Africa while a Nigerian senator makes 7.64 times what a legislator earns in South Africa.

With a population of 56.72 million people, the country’s National Assembly has 400 members while the National Council of Provinces contains 90 members.

South Africa, with a per capita income of $6,271.04, has $349.4bn GDP as of 2017. The country has a minimum wage of R3,500 a month or $246.69 or N75,240.45 at an exchange rate of N305 to a dollar.

Findings by our correspondent revealed that what ballooned the earnings of Nigerian lawmakers beyond their counterparts were not the prescriptions of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission but allowances, including running costs, appropriated by the lawmakers and the management of the National Assembly.

Chairman of RMAFC, Mr Elias Mbam, had told journalists at the inaugural meeting of the reconstituted commission in Abuja recently that any remuneration of a politician or public office holder beyond the stipulation of the commission was not known to the agency.

No jumbo pay for National Assembly members, says Omo-Agege

Meanwhile, the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has said no member of the National Assembly is collecting jumbo pay.

Omo-Agege, who stated this through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, said lawmakers collected only what the Federal Government approved for them as public office holders.

He said, “The leadership of the Senate, through the Senate President, has explained that the issue of jumbo pay does not arise in the National Assembly. Each lawmaker is paid what is statutorily due to their office and these figures are open to verification by anyone who is interested in doing so.

“All it takes is for such persons to contact the Revenue Mobilisation office and the information would be made available.”

Meanwhile, a five-term member of the House of Representatives representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State, Mr Wole Oke, said recently that his take-home pay per month is N606,000 while a rep’s running cost is N8.5m.

In an interview with Sunday PUNCH, Oke said, “The running costs amount to N8.5m. How much is N8.5m to me as a person? If you have to embark on research, looking at all the bills that I have sponsored in the House, you will see that those bills that I sponsored are not ones you can just come by anyhow; they are not bills that you pick on the shelve.

“In the American Congress, do you know how much their running costs are? It is $1m. Do you know how much their salary is? It is $14,000 per month. Yet, you pay me $2,000 as salary. Anybody who knows me too well will know that what I earn as salary and as running costs are peanuts compared to what I can earn from my private engagements.”

There’s need for salary cap for politicians —TUC

The National President of the Trade Union Congress, Quadri Olaleye, has called for salary cap for politicians in line with what civil servants also earned

In an interview with one of our correspondents on Saturday, Olaleye said politics in Nigeria had become too attractive because of the huge remuneration that politicians were entitled to, adding that the amount of money Nigeria budgeted for politicians was taking its toll on the economy of the nation.

The TUC boss said, “While we are fighting for minimum wage with no end in sight, we must also begin to look at ways of entrenching maximum wage in Nigeria wage system that will be applicable to all public servants either in the civil service or the politicians we place our trust in.

“When there is a maximum wage that will serve as a cap for what politicians are entitled to, it will make politics less attractive. Only those who are willing to serve genuinely without selfish interest will go into politics if this is successfully done. Politicians should be on remuneration in line with what others receive.”

Olaleye added that genuine means of earning a decent income had been abandoned because of the unfair advantage that political remuneration had over other professions.

We decided to kill 50 people for every slain herdsman' - Head of Zamfara bandits who renounced violence opens up

Hassan Dantawaye, the commander of bandits who recently renounced violence following peace talks in Zamfara State has granted a no holds barred interview speaking on how they operated.

The bandits, who are Fulani herdsmen, had been engaged in killing, kidnapping and other crimes, which they blamed on cattle rustling and harassment by security agencies and local vigilance group. Dantawaye in this interview told MAIHARAJI ALTINE about the peace initiative and some of the atrocities they had committed

See excerpts of the interview below...

Quote:Q: You recently said your people were forced into a life of kidnapping, killing and other crimes because you were unjustly treated by the government and society, how were you treated unjustly?
A: Thank you so much for this question. We the Fulani have been facing serious challenges, both from the government and cattle rustlers, some of whom are our own people. I mean some bad eggs among us. Most of them are not even citizens of this country.
We were living peacefully about 10 years ago. There was nothing like cattle rustling or kidnapping let alone killings or destruction of innocent people’s properties. The only issue we had then was Fulani herders/farmers clashes and they were always addressed by community leaders of both the farmers and the Fulani.
Let me tell you the truth of the matter, cattle rustling was the genesis of armed banditry in this country. Many Fulani like me have lost their cattle to the rustlers. You know that the Fulani are neither farmers nor traders; they depend solely on the rearing of animals. So when cattle rustling started in our state in 2013, we did all we could to draw the attention of the government to the problem, to do something about it, but nothing was done to stop the menace. The government ignored our numerous complaints. So as time went on, most of us lost almost all of our animals, and as a result of that, many decided to also engage in cattle rustling to regain their lost animals and also sell some of the animals to buy food and other things.
As time went on, the government realised that cattle rustling was on the increase. So, the former governor, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari, quickly ordered that no cow should be sold or taken out of the state until it was certified that the person selling it or taking it outside was the genuine owner of the animal.
So that was when we started having serious problems. We have stolen cows but we had no money to buy food because we didn’t know how to sell the animals. One day, an idea came to us that since the kidnapping of people for ransom was being done in some parts of this country and people were making money from it, we should adopt that to get money for our needs. So you see, if the government had acted fast and arrested the issue of cattle rustling at the time we complained about it, we wouldn’t have been involved in these heinous activities.
Q: You said you also faced serious harassment and intimidation from security personnel and Yan Sakai (a local vigilance group), can you expatiate on your experience?
A: Of course, we faced serious harassment and intimidation from the security personnel and the vigilance group, a factor that further worsened the security situation in the state. The security agents, particularly the police, have been levying charges on our people. They had been collecting money from us unnecessarily simply because both the government and society consider every Fulani man as a criminal. When the ban on the sale of cattle was imposed by the state government, the police took advantage of that to extort money from even genuine Fulani people who own animals, whenever they see them. This issue seriously aggravated the insecurity problems in the state.
The vigilance group and Yan Sakai have also contributed to the insecurity issue considering their negative attitude towards the Fulani people. These two groups have turned themselves into groups that are licensed to kill. They killed any Fulani man they perceived as a bandit or cattle rustler and the government did not take any serious action to stop the menace. Many of our people were killed by these people. After realising that the government was not ready to stop the killing of our people by these two groups, we decided to pay back with reprisals. From that day, we decided to kill at least 50 people whenever one of us was killed.
Q: You mentioned cattle rustling, how many cows are you aware were rustled in the last one year, or example?
A: Nobody can answer this question but l can tell you that more than half of our people have lost their animals. Many of them have died of hypertension, while several others have turned to beggars as they have nothing left with them.
Q: What was your personal cattle rustling experience?
A: Believe me, I lost 372 cows and a large number of sheep. My family members have also lost many. In fact, that was my reason for leaving my village and moving to the forest as an alternative home and becoming a bandit, because I had nothing left to depend on.
Q: In the course of all that, did you share your concerns with the government before your people resorted to kidnapping and killing?
A: How many times do you want me to explain this? I told you that we did all we could to convince the government to come to our aid, particularly with regards to cattle rustling. The police had a bad attitude towards our people and there was the persistent killing of our people by the villagers and volunteer groups, but our appeals to the government fell on deaf ears.
Q: What specific response did you get?
A: Not much attention was given to our plight.
Q: How did you become the commander of the bandits?
A: I became the commander because of my total commitment to the plight of my people. They have respect for me because I am very sincere and committed to protecting their interest. I am always contacted by the present administration of Governor Bello Matawalle for any peace accord and whatever he says is accepted by the group.
Q: What do you do normally?
A: As to how?
Q: How do you discharge your duty as the leader of the bandits?
A: The issue is now over. We have embraced peace moves initiated by Governor Matawalle, as such; there is no need for me to tell you the mode of operations since the chapter is now closed.
Q: Are you all Fulani herdsmen?
A: Yes, the people under my command are all Fulani herdsmen. But I cannot say that all bandits are Fulani people because there are several instances where people from other tribes were arrested for banditry. There are many people arrested for banditry and when you look at their identities, you find out that some of them are not Fulani.
Q: How was the group formed? Did you all come together after identifying one another as victims of cattle rustling and so on?
A: You are very correct. The majority of those in our group are victims of armed banditry or other forms of intimidation by either the security personnel or vigilance group. But there are also others who only joined us to fight our enemies and also get something for their families.
Q: Did they undergo any training before they started kidnapping and killing?
A: No, they didn’t need any special training except only on how to operate AK 47 or other weapons. Once a person knew how to use a gun and fight his enemy, he had met our requirements. The kidnapping issue is not something one can be trained on. We normally had our targets. So we only sent our boys to go and kidnap this or that person. We also blocked some roads and kidnapped motorists.
Q: Many of you have surrendered weapons, guns and so on after renouncing, how many have been submitted to the government so far?
A: We surrendered some guns, but you know, the peace process is still ongoing. We are still studying the situation in order to ascertain the level of commitment and seriousness of the government before we finally surrender all of our weapons. Don’t forget that we had a similar peace accord with the past administration of former Governor Yari, when thousands of weapons were surrendered to the government. But at the end of the day, the peace accord failed to yield any positive result. But, I trust the current peace accord of the new governor, Alhaji Bello Matawalle. The governor is really serious; that is why we have released almost all those people we kidnapped in various places. We will soon surrender all the weapons in our possession.
Q: How do your people get the weapons?
A: This is top secret. I cannot disclose this for now but when the time comes, I will answer your question.
Q: Why did you see kidnapping and killing as the solution?
A: I told you earlier that we resorted to kidnapping because we were left with no option as the government at that time banned the sale of animals and we were almost out of cash to purchase food. Similarly, we resorted to killing in order to avenge the killing of our own people by the vigilance group and Yan Sakai.
Q: How many people were you involved in their kidnap?
A: They were many. I cannot precisely tell you their number.
Q: What about killing? Is that something you can talk about?
 No.
Q: How were the peace talks with the vigilantes initiated?
A: The peace talks were initiated by the state police commissioner, Alhaji Usman Nagogo, who invited all the stakeholders, that is the Fulani people, vigilance group and Yan Sakai to a meeting where every group was given a chance to voice their grievances. After a series of meetings, we all agreed that there was a need for all of us to forgive one another and embrace peace. We agreed to release the people we had abducted if the government could also release our people that had been imprisoned.
Governor Matawalle has not only accepted our request but has also promised to provide us with government assistance for us to live happily like our counterparts, the farmers. He has also proscribed the activities of the vigilance group and Yan Sakai.
Q: The public has also had problems with the way your herders also roam from place to place with their cattle, destroying farm crops and so on? Will you say that is fair?
A: I will not say that it is fair. You see, farmers depend on their farms to survive and the Fulani depend on their animals. So it is very unfair for the Fulani to destroy food crops. But sometimes we have no alternative because more than 80 per cent of grazing areas have now been encroached into by farmers. There used to be enough grazing lands demarcated by the government in those days mainly for cattle. They are called cattle routes. These lands have been taken over by farmers and the government did not bother much about it. So that is why we are having problems with those who have encroached into the cattle routes and grazing lands. If this issue is addressed by the government, I am telling you, the issue of destruction of crops will be over.
Q: Many of your kidnap victims are still in captivity; will you ensure the release of all these people following the peace initiative?
A: As far as I am concerned, nobody is currently being held captive in Zamfara State. We have released our captives and the government has also released our people arrested by security agents.
Q: But people are still being kidnapped, though the situation has gone down, what are you doing to ensure that killing and kidnapping stop totally?
A: We have not kidnapped anybody in one week as the government is doing its best to fulfil its promise. Nobody was kidnapped or killed during the Eid el Kabir festival. So there is relative peace in the state now.
Q: How do you pass the message of peace across to the various cells of bandits?
A: It is easy to communicate nowadays with mobile phones. So we communicate with our people through phone calls.
Q: What do you think is the solution to all the problems of insecurity in the country?
This is very simple. Justice is the solution to the problem of insecurity in Nigeria.
Q: What do you mean?
A: I mean everybody should be treated justly and with fairness. All Nigerians must be treated equally. The government should try as much as possible to make sure that the right of every Nigerian is adequately protected. If this is done, I assure you, the problem of insecurity would be adequately addressed.

President of Gabon, Ali Bongo, made his first public appearance 10 months after suffering a stroke almost 10 months ago.

The 60-year-old who came into power in October 2009, stepped out walking with the aid of a walking stick as he lost his balance to the stroke which happened in Saudi Arabia in October 2018.

While attending one of the ceremonies lined up to celebrate Gabon's anniversary of independence from France in 1960 yesterday, President Bongo exchanged a few words with security officers before laying a wreath at the tomb of Gabon's first president, Leon Mba.

He walked with a stick and an aide helped him to climb several steps. The ceremony lasted half an hour, which was shorter than in previous years.

Watch a video of him making his first appearance below

Aisha Buhari is shaking a major table with her Instagram birthday post to immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, John Odigie-Oyegun.

The former APC National Chairman turned a year older recently and Mrs Buhari took to her IG page to wish him a Happy Birthday this morning.

Her post has however been implied to be a shade to the current Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomole. Her post reads

Quote:Happy Birthday, Chief John Odigie Oyegun.
Former National Chairman of APC ,
A complete gentle man ,
A peace maker and a unifying factor of our time .
Wishing you many years ahead in good health and prosperity.
Some Nigerians interpreted her post describing Oyegun as a ''peacemaker and unifying factor'' to be a sub for Oshiomole.

BBNaija: Jackye's boyfriend calls out Ebuka's wife, Cynthia

Jackye's boyfriend, Oluwasegun Kosemani has lashed out at Ebuka's wife for allegedly being biased in her comments about his girlfriend and reportedly setting off her fans against her.

Cynthia's comment about Jackye came after the female housemate got into a pillow fight with Mike who everyone on the show know is married. Recall LIB reported earlier that Oluwasegun in his comment which served as a response to claim of his girlfriend "throwing" herself on Mike, alleged that people watch the show for lustful reasons which clouds their thoughts from identifying intellectual activities showcased by the smartest housemates.

Also dragging Ebuka's wife into his call out post, Jackye's boyfriend wondered why organizers of the show will allow a biased comment from a family member of the host of the reality show. He stated that such comment is totally unacceptable. See his post below;

BBNaija: Why I want to be evicted on Sunday – Khafi

BBNaija housemate, Khafi, has signified interest to leave the competition this Sunday August 18th.

Khafi, who is up for eviction this week, says she is tired already and would like to go home. She revealed this to her fellow housemate, Cindy, after she had a faceoff with another housemate, Jackie last night.

The faceoff with Jackie started when Big Brother gifted the housemates alcohol after the Friday night arena game. When it arrived, Jackie argued that the drinks were for the cruisetopia team. Her comment did not go well with the ‘Icons’, and this led to a serious disagreement.

Khafi speaking to Cindy, said

Quote:“Really I will be happy to go home on Sunday. I’m so over all these. I’m tired.”

Cindy immediately rebuked her and asked her to stop making such a statement.

Khafi, an officer with the Metropolitan police UK, is currently being investigated by the security agent for leaving for the competition without due permission and also for having sex with her fellow contestant and love interest, Gedoni, on National television.

13-year-old girl born out of incest impregnated by her father in Abia

Ugochukwu Nwonwu, a native of Umuokwenuta Isingwu in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State, is currently on the run after he was discovered to have raped and impregnated his 13-year-old daughter.

Ugochukwu who is said to be in his thirties, was recently discovered to have put his 13-year-old daughter in the family way. What is most shocking is that the teenage girl is a product of an incestous relationship Ugochukwu had with his cousin many years ago.

Ugochukwu's brother, Chukwunyere, who spoke with The Sun, said Ugochukwu had an affair with their cousin, the daughter of their father's brother 16 years ago. The secret affair led to the birth of a set of twin girls. When their affair came to light, the couple insisted they were in love and must get married. This caused a serious fight in their family as everyone insisted it was a taboo in their culture. The lovers continued their affair and had another girl who Ugochukwu has gotten pregnant.

Quote:“The mother of the small girl is our sister, so, when my brother impregnated her some years back; the family said they cannot marry that it was abomination. But she eventually delivered twins; two girls, then we went and did some sacrifices to appease the land. My father was alive then. We did all the traditional rites. We didn’t know that he relocated the lady to Abuja and they continued their incestuous life until she became pregnant again and gave birth to another girl. The twins are 15 while the next one is 13,” Chukwunyere said

Ugochukwu was made to get married to another lady from the Orlu area of Imo State who had three children for him, two boys and a girl.

According to Chukwunyere, Ugochukwu recently travelled to Abuja and brought the young girl to come and stay with his family in the village on the pretence that she was on holiday. Little did people know, that he brought her so he can continue having sex with his own daughter.

Ugochukwu's act of violation his own daughter came to light when his wife caught him pants down.
Quote: “I’m not usually at home. So, what I will tell you is the one I know. One day, I returned from a burial in Akwa Ibom and my brother’s wife called me that she needed to see me. When I got to the house, I didn’t see her, it was my brother, her husband that I met. He told me that she had gone to their church, so when I called her, she asked that I should meet her there. When I got there, she now narrated this abominable story to me. In fact, I was totally devastated and didn’t waste time to rush to the home of our village Chairman and told him what I heard''he said

Chukwunyere said himself and the village Chairman accompanied by some members of his executive committee went to Sure Word International Church, near the popular former Crusader Secondary School, now Community Secondary School, Isingwu, to meet Ugochukwu’s wife where she repeated all that she told him initially.

When the young girl was asked what happened, she not only confirmed that her father had abused her sexually but even revealed that it was not his first time of raping her. According to the victim, her father started ‘touching and using’ her in Abuja when she was 10 years old. She disclosed that she had reported the violation to her mother who confronted her father when it started; the issue caused serious friction between them before they later settled it.
Quote:“She said that when he started doing it; she called her mother and said ‘I think you said this man is my father; look at what he’s doing to me’. Her mother had quarrel with the father then, but after a while, they settled. Since then, he had been abusing her sexually. So, some months back, he went and brought her to the village, according to him, for holiday. That was when it was discovered that he was sleeping with the small girl,” Chukwunyere said.

Her mother was then informed of the incident and she travelled down to Umuahia from her Abuja base, took the girl to a laboratory where result of pregnancy test conducted was positive.

Ugochukwu who fled the village immediately his evil act came to light, has been barnished for 10 years from the community.

Corruption: 'Buhari’s Presidency stinks' - PDP says Obono-Obla, Oyo-Ita's fraud cases

Corruption: 'Buhari’s Presidency stinks' - PDP says Obono-Obla, Oyo-Ita's fraud cases a tip of the iceberg

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the Buhari Presidency is rotten and reeks of incurable corruption, festering up to every level.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party says the shocking revelations of multi-dimensional sleazes, bribery, stealing and extortions in President Buhari’s Special Investigation Panel for Recovery of Public Property as well as in the office of the Head of Service of the Federation (HOSF) are just a tip of the iceberg of the earthshaking corruption deeply entrenched in the Buhari Presidency.

The statement in part reads

Quote:Nigerians are aware of how the indicted Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel, Okoi Obono-Obla and the Head of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita, enjoyed the protection of the cabal in the Buhari Presidency in its brazen burglary of our common patrimony.
Nigerians can also recall how the PDP had severally raised the issue of humongous fraud going on in the Special Investigation Panel under Obono-Obla as well as the Chairman’s certificate forgery allegation, and how President Buhari condoned him and refused to take immediate action.
The Buhari Presidency should therefore know that Nigerians are not carried away by this new attempt to hoodwink them through the usual holier than thou script.
If President Buhari is indeed serious about exposing corruption, he should immediately allow a system-wide probe into the activities of his administration in the last four years, particularly the trillions of naira sleazes in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, where he was minister.
The PDP demands that President Buhari allows an inquest into the stolen N9 trillion as detailed in the leaked NNPC memo, the reported stealing of N1.1 trillion worth of crude by interests connected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as alleged diversion of billions of naira meant for security and social welfare in our country.
Our party now expects President Buhari to allow an investigation into the revelation by the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, that the N500bn Social Investment Programme and the N16bn Mosquito Net Project of his administration were diverted to private purses.
This is in addition to persons close to him, who as former ministers and former governors are facing corruption charges in various panels and courts, including a former minister indicted in the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) N2.5 billion fraud case''.

The party called on the Presidency to speak out on the allegations in public space that Obono-Obla's investigation activities at the Petroleum Equalization Fund (PEF), which the Presidency cabal is allegedly desperate to conceal, is what he is being punished for.

The PDP opines that now that President Buhari appears resolved to take the right step to investigate Obono-Obla’s certificate forgery scandal, it has also become incumbent on him to purge his conscience by owning up on his own certificate saga.

Posing nude is a business strategy – Toyin Lawani

Weeks after Toyin Lawani was spotted in some nude photo campaigns on Instagram, the celebrity stylist has revealed that it is part of her business strategy.

The mother of two further revealed that she is not bothered about the criticism her nude campaign incurs as she is only passionate about her products and also believes nobody can promote them the way she does.

Quote:She said, “To be honest, I have always been that way. Now that I am single and building a brand, people keep forgetting that this is also a marketing strategy. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really have anything to do with me. I am so passionate about all my products, and I believe that nobody can promote them the way I do. No matter how much you pay someone to help promote your products, you have to be the brain behind it."

On criticism she told Saturday Beats;
Quote: “I don’t care and I don’t read them. It is when you bring it to my page that I would see them.”
