A mob on Saturday lynched an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) attached to the Area M Command for allegedly shooting a pregnant tailor dead.

The incident occurred at Agbole area of Ijegun in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) yesterday afternoon.

It was gathered that two other policemen sustained injuries and ran to the Palace of the Ijegun monarch at Ologun for safety.

Trouble was said to have started after stray bullet fired by the cops who were chasing suspected kidnappers hit the woman identified as Biliki in her shop.

She was said to have been rushed to the hospital but died shortly after she was taken to the clinic.

Her death, it was gathered sparked outrage in the neighbourhood as residents wondered why the police team would open fire at the place with so many defenless civilians going about their lawful businesses.

According to one Damilare Olarenwaju the policemen fired shot at a roundabout where there were a lot of people.

He said: “How can policemen fire shot at a roundabout, on a Saturday close to festive period in Ijegun?

The Nation gathered that angry youths in the area had blocked the road to the Oba’s palace, while anti-riot policemen have been drafted there to restore normalcy.

“The road in front of the king’s palace is impassable at the moment. Vehicular movements have been diverted into a nearby street to access Ijegun bus stop.

“The information I gathered is that the policemen from Area M fired gunshots while chasing suspected criminal and the bullet killed a woman. Youths in the area killed him and injured his colleagues. One of them managed to crawl to the Oba’s palace,” said a resident.

Contacted, police spokesman Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) confirmed the death of the ASP, adding that efforts were on to restore peace in the area.

“I cannot tell you what really happened at the moment but it is true that we lost an ASP and two order ranks were injured. They are of the Anti-kidnapping unit attached to Area M.

“Reinforcement has been deployed to the area for the restoration of peace. Let us first calm the situation before we can talk of what happened,” he said

Jeffrey Epstein Found Dead In Cell In New York
User Avatar Forum: News
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2019, 06:22 PM - No Replies

This is a conspiracy theorist's heaven. He had previously been arrested for sleeping with underaged girls, but he was only given a slap on the wrist (in fact, he was treated like he was above the law). This was way back in the mid 2000s.

Some of the people that were involved in the first case say that they were told to back off because it involved national security/the intelligence services.

Then he was arrested again and there were rumours that he supplied underaged girls to Prince Andrew, Donald Trump and other very wealthy and connected people.

Now he is dead.

Epstein was awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges

Wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead in his prison cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, US media report.

His body was discovered at 07:30 local time (11:30 GMT) on Saturday at the facility in New York.

The circumstances of his death are unclear. He was reportedly on suicide watch following an earlier incident.

Epstein, 66, had pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and conspiracy charges and was being held without bail.

Last month, he was found semi-conscious in his cell with injuries to his neck. He was treated at a nearby hospital, reports say, before being returned to New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center.

Epstein was accused of paying girls under the age of 18 to perform sex acts at his Manhattan and Florida mansions between 2002 and 2005.

He was arrested on 6 July after landing in New Jersey on his private jet.

Who was Jeffrey Epstein?

New York-born Epstein worked as a teacher before moving into finance.

Prior to the criminal cases against him, he was best known for his wealth and high-profile connections.

He was often seen socialising with the rich and powerful, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and the UK's Prince Andrew.

Reports of Epstein's wealth vary, with his Virgin Islands-based firm generating no public records.

Quote:In 2005, the Palm Beach police in Florida began investigating Epstein after a parent complained that he molested her 14-year-old daughter. Epstein eventually pleaded guilty and was convicted in a Florida state court in 2008 of soliciting a prostitute and of procuring an under-18 girl for prostitution. He served 13 months in custody with work release, as part of a plea deal, where federal officials had identified 36 girls as young as 14 years old who had been molested.

Epstein was arrested again on July 6, 2019, on federal charges for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He died on August 10, 2019, after reportedly hanging himself in his Manhattan prison cell.

Quote:In March 2005, a woman contacted Florida's Palm Beach Police Department and alleged that her 14-year-old stepdaughter had been taken to Epstein's mansion by an older girl. There she was allegedly paid $300 to strip and massage Epstein. She had allegedly undressed, but left the encounter wearing her underwear.

Police began a 13-month undercover investigation of Epstein, that included a search of his home. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also became involved in the investigation. Subsequently, the police alleged that Epstein had paid several girls to perform sexual acts with him. Interviews with five alleged victims and 17 witnesses under oath, a high school transcript and other items found in Epstein's trash and home allegedly showed that some of the girls involved were under 18. The police search of Epstein's home found two hidden cameras and large numbers of photos of girls throughout the house, some of whom the police had interviewed in the course of their investigation.

The International Business Times reported that papers filed in a 2006 lawsuit alleged that Epstein installed concealed cameras in numerous places on his property to record sexual activity with underage girls by prominent people for criminal purposes, such as blackmail. Epstein allegedly "lent" girls to powerful people to ingratiate himself with them and also to gain possible blackmail information. In 2015, evidence came to light that one of the powerful men at Epstein's mansion may have been Prince Andrew, Duke of York. A former employee told the police that Epstein would receive massages three times a day. Eventually the FBI compiled reports on “34 confirmed minors” eligible for restitution (increased to 40 in the NPA) whose allegations of molestation by Epstein included corroborating details. Julie Brown’s 2018 expose in the Miami Herald identified about 80 and located about 60 victims. She quotes the then police chief, Michael Reiter, “This was 50-something ‘shes’ and one ‘he’ — and the ‘shes’ all basically told the same story.”

In May 2006, Palm Beach police filed a probable cause affidavit saying that Epstein should be charged with four counts of unlawful sex with minors and one molestation count.

Epstein's high-powered team of defense lawyers included Roy Black, Gerald Lefcourt, Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, and former Clinton special prosecutor Ken Starr.

After press reports that Epstein would be charged with one count of aggravated assault with no intent to commit a felony, Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter accused the Palm Beach County state prosecutor, Barry Krischer, of being too lenient and was instrumental in bringing in the FBI. Instead Krischer convened a Palm Beach County grand juryusually only done in capital cases. Presented evidence from only two victims, the grand jury returned a single charge of felony solicitation of prostitution, to which Epstein pleaded not guilty in August 2006.

Quote:In July 2006, the FBI began its own investigation of Epstein, nicknamed "Operation Leap Year." It resulted in a 53-page indictment in June 2007 that was never presented to a grand jury. Alexander Acosta, then the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, agreed to a plea deal to grant immunity from all federal criminal charges to Epstein, along with four named co-conspirators and any unnamed "potential co-conspirators". According to the Miami Herald, the non-prosecution agreement "essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein's sex crimes." At the time, this halted the investigation and sealed the indictment. The Miami Herald states: "Acosta agreed, despite a federal law to the contrary, that the deal would be kept from the victims."

Acosta later said he offered a lenient plea deal, because he was told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence", was "above his pay grade" and to "leave it alone". Epstein agreed to plead guilty to two state charges (for soliciting prostitution and for procuring an under-18 for prostitution), register as a sex offender, and pay restitution to three dozen victims identified by the FBI. The Guardian, a British newspaper, reported (somewhat inaccurately), "Despite this, the U.S. government eventually agreed to allow Epstein to plead guilty to just one count of soliciting prostitution from an underage girl under Florida state law. Epstein agreed not to contest civil claims brought by the 40 women identified by the FBI, but escaped a prosecution that could have seen him jailed for the rest of his life."

A Federal Judge later found that the prosecutors had violated the victims' rights in that they had concealed the agreement from the victims and instead urged them to have "patience."

Quote:Conviction and sentencing (2008–2011)

On June 30, 2008, after Epstein pleaded guilty to a state charge (one of two) of procuring for prostitution a girl below age 18, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison. While most convicted sex offenders in Florida are sent to state prison, Epstein was instead housed in a private wing of the Palm Beach County Stockade and, according to the sheriff's Office, was after 3 1⁄2 months allowed to leave the jail on "work release" for up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. This contravened the sheriff's own policies requiring a maximum remaining sentence of 10 months and making sex offenders ineligible for the privilege. He was allowed to come and go outside of specified release hours.

Epstein's cell door was left unlocked, and he had access to the attorney room where a TV was installed for him, before he was moved to the stockade's previously unstaffed infirmary. He worked at the office of a foundation he had created shortly before reporting to jail; he dissolved it after he had served his time. The Sheriff's Office received $128,000 from Epsteins's non-profit to pay for the costs of extra services being provided during his work release. His office was monitored by "permit deputies" whose overtime was paid by Epstein. They were required to wear suits, checked in "welcomed guests" at the "front desk". Later the Sheriff's Office said these guest logs were destroyed per the department's "records retention" rules (although inexplicably the Stockade visitor logs were not). He was allowed to use his own driver to drive him between jail and his office and other appointments.

Epstein served almost 13 months before being released for a year of probation on house arrest until August 2010. While on probation he was allowed numerous trips on his corporate jet to his residences in Manhattan and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He was allowed long shopping trips and to walk around Palm Beach "for exercise".

After a contested hearing in January 2011, and an appeal, he stayed registered in New York State as a "level three" (high risk of repeat offense) sex offender, a lifelong designation. At that hearing the Manhattan District Attorney inexplicably argued unsuccessfully that the level should be reduced to a low risk "level one" and was chided by the judge. Despite opposition from Epstein's lawyer that he had a "main" home in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the judge confirmed he personally must check in with the New York Police Department every 90 days. Though Epstein had been a level three registered sex offender in NY since 2010, the New York Police Department never enforced the 90-day regulation, though non-compliance is a felony.

Reactions

The immunity agreement and his lenient treatment were the subject of ongoing public dispute. The Palm Beach police chief accused the state of giving him preferential treatment,[63] and the Miami Herald said U.S. Attorney Acosta gave Epstein "the deal of a lifetime". Following Epstein's arrest in July 2019, on sex trafficking charges, Acosta resigned as Secretary of Labor on July 19, 2019.

Quote:Jane Doe v. Epstein and Trump (2016)

A federal lawsuit filed in California in April 2016, against Epstein and Donald Trump by a California woman alleged that the two men sexually assaulted her at a series of parties at Epstein's Manhattan residence in 1994, when she was 13 years old. The suit was dismissed by a federal judge in May 2016 because it did not raise valid claims under federal law. The woman filed another federal suit in New York in June 2016, but it was withdrawn three months later, apparently without being served on the defendants. A third federal suit was filed in New York in September 2016. The two latter suits included affidavits by an anonymous witness who attested to the accusations in the suits, asserting Epstein employed her to procure underage girls for him, and an anonymous person who declared the plaintiff had told him/her about the assaults at the time they occurred. The plaintiff, who had filed anonymously as Jane Doe, was scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles press conference six days before the 2016 election, but abruptly canceled the event; her lawyer Lisa Bloom asserted that the woman had received threats. The suit was dropped on November 4, 2016. Trump attorney Alan Garten flatly denied the allegations, while Epstein declined to comment.

BBNaija: What I’ll do for Tacha if
she doesn’t win prize money – Psquare’s Peter Okoye

Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye of the Psquare fame, has promised Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, housemate, Tacha, the prize money even if she’s evicted.
Peter, who now goes by that stage name: Mr P, stated this while reiterating his support for Tacha.

In a post on his Instagram on Friday, he stated: “If Tacha nor win, I’ll give her the money.”
The BBNaija housemate may be evicted from the “Pepper dem” edition of the reality television show.

Tacha had on Friday engaged in a heated argument with fellow housemate, Joe.

She rained insults on Joe as he threatened to touch her.
It is not clear why they were arguing but Tacha had warned Joe to stay away from her, but he refused.
Joe rather drew closer to Tacha, touched her duvet which made her even more furious till she hit him on the face.

This action may earn Tacha a strike from Big Brother or a likely eviction from the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition as it is against BBNaija rules to engage in physical fight or use violence in the house.

Timi Frank: Jonathan Was A Better President, Nigerians Should Apologise To Him
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2019, 03:52 PM - No Replies

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has called on Nigerians, particularly those who worked against the re-election and sabotaged the former President Goodluck Jonathan to publicly tender an apology if the country must move forward.

Frank said unless Nigerians prefer to continue in pretence, the era of former President Jonathan managed well the challenge of insecurity compared to what the country has now.

In a statement Timi Frank released to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, called on religious leaders, traditional rulers and all Nigerians who directly or indirectly worked against Jonathan's government to ask for forgiveness before it is too late.

Frank acknowledged that there were things Jonathan's government should have done better but in all Nigerians made a wrong choice of electing the current administration.

"I call on Nigerians that we should beg former President Goodluck Jonathan for wrongly voted him out and sabotaged his government. I must confess that as an APC figure in 2015, we fabricated many lies against Jonathan, though I have publicly apologised to him but other Nigerians, especially the pastors, Imams, traditional rulers and other opinion leaders should beg for forgiveness too.

"It is obvious now that insecurity in our Nation has gone out of hand. The challenge was limited to a zone under Goodluck Jonathan but presently no state, including General Buhari's home state is secured.

"Under Jonathan, Fulani herdsmen were using stick but they now carry AK 47. Under Jonathan, lives of Nigerians were more important despite the challenges but under Buhari, cows are more important than lives.

"There was democracy and rule of law under Jonathan but its now rule of force and impunity. Under Jonathan, National Assembly were active and working but its now a rubber stamp.

"Under Jonathan, Nigerians abroad were relocating back home but under Buhari Nigerians are running away. Under Jonathan Nigerians are respected all over the world but that has since gone under Buhari.

"Under Jonathan Nigerians were crying in tears but now Nigerians are crying in blood

"Under Jonathan, there was freedom of speech but that has long gone under the APC administration.

"Under Jonathan, poverty, hunger and unemployment were not as bad as it is today. Under Jonathan Nigeria was a unitedunited Nation but sentiments have taken over now.

"As it is now, all the institutions of government that were working well under Jonathan have all been blackmailed and politicised.

"So, I call on others who betrayed Jonathan to come out publicly and apologise to him. I also use this opportunity to appeal to former President Jonathan to forgive Nigerians and bless the Nation against the evils that have pervaded the land."

Frank said Nigerians should ask the APC administration what happened to the $1 Billion ECA money removed to fight insecurity in Nigeria.

He called on Nigerians to support a peaceful revolution to take back Nigeria to the good old days from the hands "evil men in power."

Signed
Comrade Timi Frank

15-Year-Old Girl Impregnated By Father In Edo Dies Mysteriously
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2019, 12:56 PM - No Replies

Gift Alonge’s story is one that drives a sword into the heart. She was raped by her biological father who threatened that she would die if she opened up to anyone about the matter. But she braved the odds to cry out and paid the ultimate price as she died with her five-month-old pregnancy.

Although her 42-year-old errant father, Jacob Alonge, a farmer and native doctor, has been committed to prison, she did not live to see the man that caused her pains walk into jail.

In the words of D. Adamaigbo, the presiding Magistrate at Edo Family Court, “her father threatened her that if she revealed to the public she would die. She actually revealed it and she died.”

The late Gift was raped by her father in 2017, and he threatened her by administering an oath of silence on her. He continued to rape her until she turned 15 and got her pregnant. The bizarre incident occurred at Ososo village in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.

The first time he raped Gift, according to the poor girl’s statement to the police, it was in the bush. He was said to have told Gift that they were going for prayers. In her statement as quoted in court, she said: “My father, by name Jacob Alonge, used to wake me up at night and said I should follow him for prayers. When we got inside the bush, he would force me and have sexual intercourse with me.”

In the second statement she made at the state police headquarters, she said: “He threatened me not to tell anybody, and that if I did, he would kill me. One night, he called me and put me on top of a stone and used a razor blade to shave my private part and threatened me not to tell anybody.”

The bubble, however, burst when Gift became pregnant last year. Members of the Braveheart Initiative Organisation (BHI) took up the case. They arranged for counselling and ante-natal care while her father was arrested.

At the Ososo Police Station, he was said to have made a statement confessing to the crime of incest, and the case was transferred to the family unit of the State CID in Benin City. Gift was offered shelter by her maternal uncle, Mr. Ukere Adagbogu, who took a keen interest in his niece’s case and was also determined to get justice for her.

Jacob was subsequently arraigned before the court and he pleaded guilty to the charges. The Magistrate fixed judgement for January 16, 2019

Tragedy, however, struck on the day fixed for judgment as Gift, her uncle Ukere Adagbogu, Rhoda Braimoh, Promise Ezekiel and the driver of their vehicle, died in an auto crash on their way from Igarra to the court in Benin City to witness the judgment.

On hearing the news about his daughter’s death, Alonge changed his guilty plea to not guilty, as he presumed that all the witnesses to the case were dead. At the Family Court, Jacob pleaded not guilty to the amended charges preferred against him.

In the three count amended charges read at the Family Court, Jacob was accused of being in possession without lawful and reasonable excuse, fetish wrap of his late daughter’s pubic hair at Okeh Quarter in Ososo village, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.

Jacob was accused of having unlawful and indecent carnal knowledge of his biological daughter against the order of nature, and in the process impregnated her. He was said to have repeatedly had carnal knowledge of his daughter without her consent.

The offences are punishable under sections 213, 358 and 214 of the Criminal Code cap 48 Laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria now applicable in Edo State. On August 1 when judgment was delivered, Jacob was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment.

Alonge was convicted on all three count charges of unlawful possession of fetish wrap of the victims’ pubic hair, unlawfully and indecently having canal knowledge of his biological daughter, repeated sexual assault and for impregnated her.

Delivering judgment in the case, the Presiding Magistrate, D.I Adamaigbo (Mrs) sentenced Jacob Alonge to five years on count one, two years and 14 years respectively on count two and three. The jail terms are to run consecutively.

Adamaigbo said: “He consecutively had sex with her who is his own daughter and got her pregnant and thereby subjected her to shame and emotional stress. May her soul rest in peace.

“To serve as a deterrent to others and would be offenders, we are of the opinion that the defendant should not have a space in a decent society.”

Adamaigbo said the statement of the victim and the evidence of the PW1 confirmed what the victim said that “she was five months pregnant and that she was demoralized, emotionally distressed is sufficient corroboration that the victim was indeed sexually assaulted.

“It has been established beyond reasonable doubt that the accused had canal knowledge of the victim as she said in her statement. Her statement was corroborated by the statement of the police in evidence.

“The convict admitted in his statement and the law is that evidence admitted need no further proof. The defence that he was lured into the crime by his own daughter is an afterthought. We therefore find him guilty of each of the counts.”

Reacting to the judgment, Executive Director of BHI, Priscillia Usiobaifo, said: “We have seen how resilience can prove worthwhile. I am very happy that there is no option of fine because we have had several cases that we won and they would give options of fine. This has encouraged us, and those that died did not die in vain.”

Vital Keto This is some thing, thinking about the reality that it is regularly taken so that you can improve your endurance. In tests, after 3 weeks of taking clenbuterol, laboratory rats were proven to have misplaced some of their capacity to maintain their patience during swimming or different sporting activities that they have been subjected to. This is something that most of the people who take this drug did now not keep in mind each time they first start taking it. Another issue which could take place due to taking this drug is that your heart will become enlarged. [/url]

Presently the issue emerges when we are informed that a portion of these loss of weight helps don't work. Hence, individuals need some direction on which weight reduction helps really work, with the goal that they don't sink their cash into stuff that doesn't work - seeing that a large portion of this stuff costs a considerable amount of cash. All in all, which are the loss of weight helps that truly work? All things considered, there is no simple response to the inquiry about which loss of weight helps truly work and which weight reduction helps don't work. It is difficult to lift one classification of weight reduction helps (state that of the enhancements) and pronounce this consistently works, or lift another class of loss of weight helps (state that of the writing) and proclaim this doesn't work. Governor El-Rufai orders the arrest of drivers who blocked Abuja-Kaduna highway in protest over killing of colleague by security operatives

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has called for the arrest and prosecution of drivers, who protested the killing of their colleague by a policeman over his refusal to pay bribe.

The drivers protest had caused a total standstill on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway on Friday, August 9th. The protest came after policemen on duty along the Abuja-Kaduna highway allegedly killed a commercial driver after he refused to give them N2,000 bribe.

Reacting to the incident in a post on his official Twitter handle @elrufai, the governor said;

Quote:"It is most unfortunate. The drivers will all be arrested and prosecuted for this. There are lawful means of expressing grievances. This is unacceptable!
"The State Commissioner of Police is investigating and reporting to our Attorney-General for immediate prosecution of the trigger-happy officer, but the tanker drivers have no right to do what they did, and must pay the price as well."

Sowore's lawyer, Femi Falana files 19-ground application against 45-day detention

Omoyele Sowore has applied to the Federal High Court in Abuja to set aside its order permitting the Department of State Services to detain him for 45 days.

Sowore, through his lawyer, Femi Falana, contended, among others in the 19-ground application on Friday, August 9th that the order issued by the court breached his constitutionally guaranteed fundamental rights.

He said the court order is “legalising the illegality” of his detention for about four days prior to the issuance of the court order. Filed along with his application on Friday was an affidavit of urgency seeking an urgent hearing of the suit on the grounds that it “is one of fundamental importance that affects salient fundamental rights of the applicant herein.”

The Federal High Court had ruled on an ex parte application by the DSS to detain Sowore for 90 days to investigate him for treason-related allegations. However, Justice Taiwo Taiwo on Thursday granted the agency permission to hold the activist for 45 days.

El Paso shooter confesses that Mexicans were his targets

Patrick Crusius, the man who carried out last weekend’s deadly mass shooting at a Walmart in the Texas border city of El Paso has confessed to officers that he had been targeting Mexicans.

Crusius, 21, emerged with his hands up from a vehicle that was stopped at an intersection shortly after the attack and told officers, “I’m the shooter,” Detective Adrian Garcia said in an arrest warrant affidavit.

He also spoke with detectives, telling them he entered the store with an AK-47 assault rifle and multiple magazines, and that he was targeting Mexicans.

Twenty-two people were killed and about two dozens were injured. Most of the dead had Hispanic last names and eight were Mexican nationals.

Authorities say Crusius drove more than 10 hours from his hometown near Dallas to carry out the shooting in the largely Latino border city of El Paso. An attorney for the Crusius family, Chris Ayres, told The Associated Press that the rest of the family never heard Patrick Crusius use the kind of racist and anti-immigrant language that was posted in the online screed.  Crusius has been charged with capital murder and is being held without bond. Federal prosecutors have said they are also considering hate-crime charges.

Daily Devotional for Saturday 10th August

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SATURDAY, 10TH AUGUST.

“NO CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER”

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice (Ephesians 4:31 NIV).

There’re people who are unhappy in their lives; there’s so much bitterness in them. Even when they’re counselled to forgive those who may have hurt or offended them, they’re unwilling to let go. They pray and make decisions on the bases of their hurt, offences, and bitterness, while stating they have forgiven.

Refuse to harbour resentment. It makes no difference how callous someone may have acted towards you; holding on to the pain and grudge of such experiences would only wound your emotions further, and ultimately affect your health.

To be unforgiving is to allow circumstances rob you of your joy in life. Forgiving others isn’t so much about the one who offended you; it’s about your own life; it’s for your benefit.

As long as you hold that grudge against those who may have hurt you, you’re not free; you’re in more trouble than the one with whom you’re angry. But when you maintain a forgiving heart, not only will you live a happy and exciting life, you’ll continually enjoy the pleasantness in other people. When you free others, you become free.

Yes, offences will come, according to the Bible; people will do things that may hurt or offend you, but never allow anger provoke and make you react negatively. Remember the words of Jesus: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). Stay in the Word and walk in love. Forgive easily. Hold no grudge. Be meek, kind, and not easily provoked. Let God’s essence within you flow out like a stream as you relate with others in love.

One of the beauties of God’s Word is its practicability; so, when our opening verse says, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,” it’s practicable. Use the Word to deal with such and other negative emotions. If there’s anyone you’ve been holding a grudge against or has a grudge against you, take the bold step to make peace, irrespective of who’s at fault, for this is the will of God concerning you.

CONFESSION

I maintain a forgiving heart, because God’s love is fully expressed through me, causing me to be meek, kind and patient. I live a happy and exciting life, continually enjoying the pleasantness in other people. Hallelujah!

Bài viết dưới đây chúng tôi sẽ gửi tới các bạn cách làm cò bóng đá một cách chi tiết nhất. Hãy theo dõi ngay nhé!
[Image: qrcygeSfpx6a36AyDhFnNuuxOfRsZe-WrTOWVc1m...YKzOyNk9AQ]

37-year-old man gets life in prison for raping and impregnating a 10-year-old girl

A 37-year-old South Carolina man was handed a life imprisonment sentence after being found guilty of raping and impregnating a 10-year-old girl.

Tony Orlanda Singleton was tied to the crime after DNA evidence from the fetus of the girl's abortion proved he was the father. The sad incident came to light in April 2016, after the little girl told a forensic interviewer that the rapist came into her bedroom while she was watching cartoon and forced her to have sex with him after turning off the television and lights. The rape case was taken up after her mother took her to a doctor to terminate the pregnancy.

Quote:“This girl should be getting ready to go back to school, making friends, braiding her hair – things other girls her age typically are engaged in,” said prosecutor Hunter Swanson of the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, who called 10 witnesses during the two-day trial.
“Instead, she’s in a courtroom, reliving a horrific ordeal. Tony Singleton is to blame for that. This man was someone she trusted, someone who lurked inside her home, someone who changed the fabric of his victim’s life forever.”

Deliberating on the case in less than an hour, Circuit Judge Carmen Mullen handed Singleton a ife sentence without parole.

Nigerian lawmaker allegedly beats woman, forces her to walk naked

Uduak Nseobot, a councillor in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been arraigned before a state High Court in Uyo with his wife Aniedi, for allegedly assaulting a woman and stripping her naked in the public.

The couple were arraigned on charges of kidnap, assault, publicly stripping and forcing Aniedi's close friend Iniubong Essien to walk naked, after they accused her of stealing some money sprayed on them at their wedding.

Iniubong revealed that she assisted the Nseobots in cooking their wedding food but denied being the person that picked the money at the wedding. She was reportedly abducted from her home in Uyo in November 2018, driven to a village in Ibiono (about 27 kilometres) and paraded before a village hall around 10 a.m.

Quote:“I was beaten and forced to walk stark naked in the village hall, they removed my dress, my bra, and my pant, Ms Essien, who is over 40 told Premium Times.
“People were inside the village hall, I think he (the councillor) may have told them that he was bringing a thief for them to beat, so the whole place was filled with people.
“He was mixing charcoal with pepper to rub on my body, but he didn’t rub (it) on me. They tied a rope around my waist and said I must dance naked before the village people.”

Naked photos and videos of Iniubong were reportedly taken at the scene of the incident.

However in court, the name of Nseobot's wife who stays in US was struck out from the charge sheet following a request from the prosecution counsel Godwin Udom. The case was adjourned to October 14, for the court to hear the argument on the preliminary objection by the councillor's lawyer.

16 die of yellow fever in Ebonyi

No fewer than 16 persons have been confirmed dead in a fresh outbreak of the deadly viral disease, Yellow fever.

Dr Chris Achi, the Permanent Secretary Designate of the State Ministry of Health who confirmed the development to newsmen today Friday August 9th, said the outbreak occurred in Ndungele community of Izzi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. According to Achi, the outbreak occurred since July 15, but was not reported early to the health ministry leading to the death of 16 persons before the ministry’s intervention.

Quote:“A member of the community called me one early morning to report deaths of indigenes in the community with the victims dying of same symptoms. I informed our health workers and members of the state Rapid Response Team (RRT) and when they got there, they discovered a case of yellow fever with symptoms of yellowish eyes, skin, among others. We then moved into the community, notified the Federal Ministry of Health and National Centre for Disease Control and they have been in the state for about two weeks.
“They came with drugs, vaccines and other interventions as some of the patients who could not be managed in the community’s health centre were moved to the General Hospital Iboko.
The problem about the outbreak was that our people did not believe that they will go to the hospital when they experience this yellowness of the eyes, they believe that they can be treated with local herbs that’s why we recorded causalities which should not have been” he said

Achi added that the victims were also taken to the South East Virology Centre in Abakaliki where the samples taken further proved that they died as a result of yellow fever.

Speaking on how the disease is transitted, Achi said it is caused by a type of mosquitoes called `Aedes Aepyti’, which is predominant in the tropics and sub-tropics.

Quote:“It is transmitted from person to person through mosquitoes although there are forest monkeys that transmit it. When the mosquitoes bite monkeys and bite someone in the forest, it will transmit the virus and if it bites another person, the transmission will continue,” he said.

No Exercise Or Drug Can Grow The joystick- Dr Olufunmilayo
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-10-2019, 01:44 AM - No Replies

NO exercise can grow the joystick.

NO medicine can grow the joystick.

Your joystick stopped growing at 21years.

NO exercise can grow the joystick.

No exercise will increase your penile girth

No hand exercise will increase your joystick size

You cannot make your pennis grow thicker and longer naturally

No food will increase your joystick size

NO medicine can grow the joystick.

Your joystick stopped growing at 21years.

Whatever you have now is what you will have.

Use it well.

Good morning.

All over the world, people have associated a lot of unrealistic things to joystick size.

Both men and women.

Some people have come to see it as the longer/bigger it is, the more fertile, the more masculine, the more stronger, the more courageous a man is.

NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.

The size of a man’s joystick has NOTHING to do with the strength of a man. Or the fertility of a man. Or the masculinity of a man. Or the value of a man. These are all common myths in a world that is largely ignorant and completely uninformed about the joystick- and what it can do.

This obsession with joystick Size is the reason for some unscrupulous drug/herb companies from the roadside sellers to online markets who exploit the ignorance of men who assume that a bigger joystick is the missing piece to complete their lives. But sadly, these men are sold lies.

There is NO scientifically proven evidence ANY cream or medication can satisfactorily increase joystick significantly. Or even increase it at all. It’s ALL a scam. And a fraud. The men in their posters are already heavily endowed models whose joystick grew NATURALLY. And that’s it.

Men literally do CRAZY things just to get a bigger joystick. ALL to no avail. Indian mystics known as Sadhus stretch their joystick from an early age by hanging weights on it, while the Topinama tribesmen of Brazil will get poisonous snakes to bite their joystick in a bid to enlarge it.
Some men think repeated masturbation or certain sex positions like doggystyle will enlarge/lengthen the joystick. My brother, don’t die before your time. What you have right now is ALL you will have. Spend your energy on using it properly, rather than waste money on buying lies.
IF somebody is shouting “deeper” “deeper”, “harder”, “harder”, you better tell her to calm down. You can’t go deeper than you are already going. You can’t give what you don’t have. After giving all you have, there’s no “deeper” to go, except you want to dig your own grave.

But seriously, people panic over joystick size simply because of pornography and modern cultural myths. What you fail to realise is that the people you see in pornography are NOT average men. For that kind of job, they get the men with the biggest joysticks. Not the average guy.
So what’s the average joystick size? For teenagers, it’s difficult to say what the average is. Because from age 11-18years, a boy’s joystick is actively growing. By age 21, it stops growing and it has reached its final size for almost every man. That’s for teenagers, on average.
But what of men? Most men will have a joystick size about 9cm when it is not erect. That’s barely 4 inches. And when erect, most men will have a joystick size about about 13cm to 18cm. That’s about 5 to 7inches. So all those 9inches, 12 inches men you see in porn, are NOT average.
I need to reiterate again: What you watch in porn, or hear some men talk about is NOT average at all. So don’t feel less of a man, if you measure your joystick and it is about 9cm when not erect and between 13-18cm when erect. That is PERFECTLY NORMAL. And no cause for alarm.
On the angle of an erect joystick, there is variations. Some face up, some face down, bend right, bend left. ALL of this is normal as long as you can urinate effectively and have sex enjoyably. There is NO cause for alarm. All joysticks will not sleep and face the same direction.
However if yours is bent is an abnormally curved way and it gives you problems, see your doctor or a urologist. There’s a disease called Peyronie disease that may be responsible for this. Don’t take it lightly and see your doctor to sort this out as soon as possible.
Another thing to talk about is how men themselves view their joysticks that gives them low self esteem. Actually if you look at your joystick yourself from the top, it would look smaller than it actually is. So your brain messes with you and makes you think oh you have a small joystick.
The best way to have an objective view is to stand in front of a mirror and see what is in the mirror. That’s what someone else will see while looking at you and that tells you the truth. I’m just trying to tell you that your worries are actually sometimes exaggerated.
And you know the funny part to all this? It is that DESPITE all I’ve said, many men still want a bigger/longer joystick. Lmao. A research by Professor Kevan Wylie of Sheffield University using 50,000 men and women showed that 45% of men want bigger joystick, and 85% of women are okay with their spouse/partner’s joystick size.
So what does that imply? The craze for bigger/longer joystick is mainly a psychological anxiety in the minds of men. Even the women are mostly not bothered and they are okay with it. That’s actually what the fact is.
And to add to all this, A bigger joystick doesn’t mean better sex. A longer joystick doesn’t mean higher fertility. A huge joystick doesn’t actually mean anything at all. If we are being very factual and objective.
Carry your Tiger Battery with pride. And use it to its maximum potential.
Anyway, I hope this short write up has helped reassure you that you don’t need to worry about your joystick size.
The function of joystick is:
To urinate
To have sex (for children/pleasure). As long as you do those two with no problems, you are fine and good.
Don’t worry yourself.
In summary, NO exercise can grow the joystick.
Thanks for reading.
Please write your experiences and feel free to ask questions.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Olufunmilayo

Suspected Fulani herdsmen on Thursday invaded farmlands at Ikot Obio Nso community in Mkpat Enin Local
Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, killing one Friday Etor and injuring another, Nsikak Udoh.

DAILY POST gathered that the deceased died on the spot from gun shots on his neck while Udoh was shot in the leg during the attack on their farmlands.
It was further gathered that the herdsmen arrived the community a week ago with large herds of cattle, causing destruction to farm crops in the area.
According to a source, who pleaded anonymity, “The Fulani herdsmen this morning killed one and injured another of
our brother right inside their farmlands.

“The herdsmen together with their cattle have been camping in Ndon Eyen for some weeks now, in a
piece of land that our people are currently harvesting cassava.

“When the news of their activities in the farm got to the villagers, some of us rushed to our farm lands to inquire what was going on, the two victims got to the scene before we arrived and we saw one dead and another seriously injured, and struggling with gunshots.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Odiko Macdon, who confirmed the incident, said the Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed, has dispatched a team of police officers to investigate the incident.
“We have received the report of the suspected herdsmen attack in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state, and the state commissioner of police has promptly dispatched officers of the command to investigate the incident, As we speak our men are on the ground there already,” he said.
Meanwhile, the member representing Mkpat Enin state constituency in the state House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ekwere, has commiserated with the people of Ikot Obio Nso community, especially the families whose loved ones were either killed or attacked during the course of the provocative assault.
A statement by his Personal Assistant, Media and Publicity, Mr Victor Ufot said, “the lawmaker had met with respected leaders of the community and urged them not to take laws into their hands as he would team up
with other stakeholders from the Local Government Area and the State Government to bring a lasting solution to the sad incident.”
He therefore called on security agencies in the state to act swiftly in their investigations and bring the perpetrators to book within the shortest possible time.

Oluwakemi Omolewa, Pastor Jeremiah Omolewa's Wife Freed By Kidnappers
User Avatar Forum: News

The widow of the slain resident pastor of Living Faith Church (aka Winners’ Chapel International), Romi New Extention, Kaduna, Jeremiah Omolewa, has been released by her abductors.

The couple was attacked last Sunday along Kaduna-Abuja Road. The cleric was shot dead, his wife was taken captive but his son escaped the attack.

Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna, Rev. Joseph Hayab, confirmed the widow’s release on Friday, Igbere TV reports.

He said Oluwakemi Omolewa was released late Thursday following the payment of an undisclosed sum of money as ransom.

Hayab said the church spent over N300 million on payments of ransom to kidnappers in last four years in Kaduna, while over 500 Christians were abducted within the same period.

He added that more than 20 churches, especially, those located in communities along the Kaduna-Abuja road have been closed as people living in those villages have since relocated following the activities of kidnappers.

“It is sad to know that the church alone, from our statistics -ECWA Church, Baptist Church, Anglican Church, Catholic Church and many other Churches in Kaduna whose members have been kidnapped, have had to cough out between N200,000 to N8 million to kidnappers to secure their release.

“We don’t collect our offerings to give kidnappers, our offerings are supposed to be used for evangelism and catering for the needy. Now the money we are supposed to use for evangelism so that evil in the society would be reduced is being spent on paying ransom to kidnappers,” he said.

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith, David Oyedepo, had on Thursday cursed the killers of the pastor.

Atiku’s lawyer and son-in-law arrested again by the EFCC

Uyi Giwa Osagie, Atiku Abubakar's longtime legal adviser was arrested on Thursday August 8 alongside Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law of the Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election.

The duo were arrested on charges of money laundering after they honored an invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos, as reported by Premium Times. Charges against Mr Osagie include;

Quote:COUNT 1
That you UYIEKPEN GlWA-OSAGIE and ERHUNSE GlWA-OSAGIE, sometimes in February, 2019 in Nigeria within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court conspired to commit an offence to wit: making cash payment of the sum of $2,000,000.00 (Two Million United State Dollars) without going through financial institution which sum exceeded the amount authorized by Law and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18(a), and 1(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 16(2)(b) of the same Act.
COUNT 2
That you UYIEKPEN GIWA-OSAGIE on or before the 12th day of February,2019 in Nigeria within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, procured ERHUNSE GIWAOSAGIE to make cash payment of the sum of $2,000,000.00 (Two Million United State Dollars) without going through financial institution, which sum exceeded the amount authorized by Law and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18© of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 16(2)(b) of the same Act.
COUNT 3
That you ERHUNSE GlWA-OSAGIE sometimes in February, 2019 In Nigeria within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court made the payment of the sum of $2,000,000.00 (Two Million United State Dollars) without going through financial institution, which sum exceeded the amount authorized by Law and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Sections 1(a). & 16(1).(d) of the Money Laundering(Prohibition) Act, 2011 (As Amended) and Punishable under section 16 of the Same Act.

The arrest came 5 months after they were detained for days by the anti-graft agency who questioned their involvement in a multi-million dollar money laundering scandal.

Their first arrest was linked to a bureau de change operative's confession of Mr Osagie being the owner of $2 million found in its possession. The two persons close to the Nigerian opposition leader were released at that time following allegations of the arrest being politically motivated.

Insiders however claim that the commission are now set to arraign Mr Giwa-Osagie and Mr Babalele for alleged money laundering.

No N9.9b traced to my account- Ambode clarifies

Akinwunmi Ambode, the immediate past governor of Lagos State, has reacted to media reports claiming the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen certain accounts with over N9.9 billion linked to him.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Habib Aruna, the former governor said no account of his contained N9.9bn let alone being frozen by the EFCC. He said while he doesn't want to join issues with the anti-corruption agency at this time especially as there has been no communication between him and the commission on this issue, it is important for him to clarify what he believed was a misleading report of the press statement by the EFCC released on Tuesday August 6th.

According to the former governor, the controversial accounts that were frozen by the Federal High Court, belong to the Lagos State Government and not him or any individual.

Quote:“Those accounts were opened in the course of normal operations by the Lagos State Government for its administrative purposes and not for the former Governor’s personal transactions as was being wrongly insinuated and have been operated to ensure smooth operations of government activities by previous and present administrations. The former Governor was not and will never be involved in any unauthorized use of government property and resources.
We strongly believe that after four demanding years as Chief Executive of Lagos State, Mr. Ambode is entitled to some deserved rest with his family and loved ones without the unwarranted attacks on his well-earned reputation.” the statement read

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday August 6th, ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to freeze three bank accounts said to belong to the Lagos State Government over an alleged fraud of N9.9 billion.   The three bank accounts, domiciled in First City Monument Bank, Access Bank, and Zenith Bank, are numbered 5617984012, 0060949275 and 1011691254, respectively.

The EFCC had approached the court for an order for the accounts to be frozen pending the conclusion of investigation and possible prosecution of the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff to former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Adewale Adesanya. According to an ex-parte application, a member of the EFCC investigating team, Kungmi Daniel, said the commission discovered “a huge inflow of N9,927,714,443.29” from the state accounts into an FCMB bank account opened on September 17, 2018 during the administration of former governor Akinwunmi Ambode and operated by Adesanya.

RevolutionNow: Northern coalition demands sincere apology from Buhari

The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to issue a sincere apology to Nigerians.

CNG said Buhari has not lived up to expectations and should as a matter of urgency apologise to the country.

It spoke while reacting to the statement credited to Buhari thanking Nigerians for boycotting the RevolutionNow protest called by the 2019 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore had called for a revolution over the alleged failure of the current Federal Government.

Following the call for revolution, the Department of State Services, DSS, arrested Sowore last weekend.

Despite Sowore’s arrest, the protest was held in pockets of locations.

However, CNG has now said Buhari should rather apologise to Nigerians for dragging the country into a desperate situation.

A statement by its spokesperson, Malam Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, reads: “We submit that instead of just sitting back to thank Nigerians for not joining the overthrow plan, President Buhari should rather sincerely apologize to the nation by reflecting on how he dragged the country into such a desperate situation, own up to his inadequacies and take genuine steps to address the mounting national grievances.

“Unless this is done, with the growing angry mood that pervades the entire country, the likelihood of a more serious dissent remains imminent.”

Shiites say El-Zakzaky won’t flee as El-Rufai did in 2007

Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) yesterday replied Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on the stringent conditions given its leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat, for seeking medical treatment abroad.
The Shiites said their leader would not flee the country like El-Rufai did under the late President Umaru Yar’Adua administration in 2007 but would return to Nigeria after the treatment.

According to the chairman of Free El-Zakzaky Campaign Organisation, Sheikh Abdurrahman Abubakar, the IMN leader is a bona fide citizen and therefore cannot abandon his fatherland to seek political asylum in a foreign land.

El-Rufai had on Wednesday given new conditions to the embattled leader of IMN and his wife for seeking medical treatment in India.

This followed the ruling of a Kaduna High Court presided over by Justice Darius Khobo on Monday permitting the IMN leader and wife to travel to India for treatment of injuries they sustained during IMN’s clash with the army on December 15, 2015.

According to the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, conditions to be met before the embattled Shiite leader and wife could travel included, “the confirmation of his appointment with the hospital by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; an undertaking by the defendants to produce two prominent and reliable persons as sureties, one being a first-class chief/emir of national repute and the other a prominent person within Kaduna State who shall undertake to produce the defendants whenever they are needed.”

The state also wanted the Federal Government to extract from India the promise that El-Zakzaky won’t seek asylum under any guise while there, among others.

However, Abubakar told journalists yesterday in Kaduna that Nigerians would not forget in a hurry how the current governor fled the country in 2007.

This was just as he revealed that arrangements were already in place to fly their embattled leader and the wife to India for medical treatment as pronounced by the Kaduna High Court.

He said: “The issue is that the judge (Khobo) has already given an order, and the Department of State Services (DSS) has already received the order and will comply.

“We see no reason the Kaduna government will now come up with other conditions.”

Protesting Drivers Block Kaduna-Abuja Highway Over Shooting Of Driver By Police

There is currently a protest by commercial vehicle drivers on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

The reason for the protest is on account of the alleged shooting of one of them - a commercial vehicle driver -  by the police.

The protesting drivers blocked both sides of the highway with their parked vehicles, making vehicular movement difficult. This has caused a heavy traffic jam on Kaduna-Abuja road.

Two men sentenced to death by hanging for robbery and illegal possession of firearms in Ekiti State

An Ado-Ekiti High Court has sentenced two men, Adewa Sunday, 34, and Adedayo Amos, 33, to death by hanging for robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

Delivering judgment, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, held that the prosecution had proved its case of robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

He said the evidence tendered proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.  Prosecuting counsel Gbemiga Adaramola said the convicts robbed Abosede Oyeyemi Malomo at Ilogbo-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government on June 4, 2015. He said they attacked the victim with guns, cutlasses and other weapons, thereby injuring her.

The victim was said to be reading at night when they broke into her apartment and robbery her at gunpoint. During the operation, one of the convicts was said to have mistakenly called the name of his colleague, which served as a lead for the police to carry out their investigations.

Hearing began on March 27, 2017 and two count charges bordering on robbery and illegal possession of firearms were slammed on the convicts. During hearing, the prosecuting counsel called two witnesses and also tendered a cut to size pistol, iPad and the victim’s statement on oath as exhibits.  Counsel to the defendants, Adeyinka Opaleke, didn’t call any witness.

Insecurity: Wole Soyinka calls for state of emergency in south-west

Prof. Wole Soyinka called for a State of Emergency to be declared in the South-West region of Nigeria while speaking to newsmen at the Fagunwa Study Group Second International Conference in Ondo State on Thursday August 8.

The Nobel Laureate alleged that there are many directions of security lapses in the region and also added that measures need to be taken accordingly.

Quote:“As regard the insecurity in the south-west, there is an emergency. There should be a declaration of security emergency throughout the land and measures taken accordingly,” he said.
“There are many directions of security lapses, you know it here, especially in Ondo state, it is a calamity throughout the whole nation. There is an emergency" Soyinka added.

My level in citing the above excerpt is to point out how African South African historical past has been written as we now have seen it in its curricula or text books. I've already cited this within the Hub, however needed to repeat it in order to encapsulate my thoughts in regards to the want for the Africans of South Africa above to reclaim their Historical past, cultures, customs.   Emeka Kalu: Atiku Will Come Out Victorious At The Tribunal
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 08-09-2019, 12:40 PM - No Replies

CHIEF DR. EMEKA KALU, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Director General of Atikulated Agenda 2019, is a former governorship candidate of Abia State under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He spoke to EJIKEME OMENAZU on the recent screening and confirmation of ministers-designate, insecurity, among other issues. Excerpt:

What is your impression on the Ministers-designate confirmed recently by the Senate for President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term cabinet?

Well, I will be plain without sounding apologetic. First, you need to have sound economic policies before you begin to talk about drivers. I don’t know if we presently have any since 2015. There is more to this exercise that meets the eye. There are a lot of issues about the ministerial nomination that would bluntly tell you that we should not invest high hopes in such an exercise.

You will agree with me that the essence of screening of the nominated ministers is for us to assess their readiness to serve when they defend their expertise in respect of the posts or the portfolio they were assigned. Now, the first flaw was that their names came without portfolio, which is a sign that the process is already skewed. Then, like a well-plotted script, all we were hearing was “Take a bow and leave”. This is the most ridiculous process I have ever witnessed anywhere around the world. But, if I were to borrow the words of my good friend, Dino Melaye, “The process was a beautiful nonsense”.

Having said this, what else would you expect from a process that is already described as “Beautiful Nonsense” by the actors themselves? When you later assign portfolio at your own whims, we would end up having round pegs in square holes.

How do you see the way the Senate cleared all the 43 nominees?

You already heard me. The process was a well-plotted script that was followed to the latter. So, I will say nonsense is nonsense even when it is beautiful. In one popular movie, ‘Mr Bones’, he said, “poo is poo, even when it is coming from my prince”. Is there anything as “holy poo”?

What is your take on the statement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, in which he said that Ndigbo should be grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari for giving them the number of ministers they got when they gave him (Buhari) very little votes?

Oshiomhole is a man associated with loud mouth. When you give a child something bigger than his imagination, he will ask you, “Is this for me and who?” For the position he holds now, he thinks he has all the powers to act everything he talks. After fighting Okorocha so hard and boasting about it, Okorocha still made it to the senate, which tells you all you need to know.

As for being grateful to Buhari for giving Ndigbo ministers, it is laughable. We know very well that the constitution stipulates that the kitchen cabinet must be formed from across the 36 states of the federation. Knowing the antecedents of Mr. President and his open display of love for Ndigbo, I am surprised if he would have appointed them anywhere at all if it were not enshrined in the constitution.

President Buhari is supposed to be the President of Nigeria, so anyone making it to look as if he belongs to him is misleading the President and that is possibly why everything seems to be going anti clockwise since 2015.

What is your view on the continued detention of El-Zakzaky and FG’s declaration of Shi’ites as a terrorist group? Do you see government’s action being capable of calming or infuriating the group?

Well, this is a sensitive issue. I issued a statement on it. I am not in support of the protests and the causal effects it has continued to generate. But, I think we should look beyond the surface and apportion blames appropriately.

You will agree with me that the competent courts of jurisdiction in Nigeria have issued orders for the release of this man which have continued to be flaunted by the Buhari-led government for whatever reasons best known to them. By so doing, he has eroded the integrity of our judicial system. That is bad. Then suddenly, the same Buhari, who has been disobeying court orders, goes to the same court to obtain permission to proscribe the Shi’ites and he decides to execute it immediately. What do you call that?

It means that our President is so above the law that he obeys only those ones he wants to while jettisoning the ones he deems unfavourable to him. It will be a very big mistake to think that this singular action will eventually calm the Shi’ites. In fact, we should be ready for more surprises. Whatever the reason they are still holding him, they should also put into consideration the already tensed peace of the nation. We have issues of bandits, herdsmen/farmers clash, IPOB, militants and kidnappers, and so on. How much more do we wish to create?

How best do you think the current insecurity situation in the country could be better handled for best results?

It is simple. Bring every party round the table and jaw-jaw. Only dialogue can assuage the many insecurity challenges we face via reconciliation. Atiku offered practicable solution to them and that is why we are still optimistic that it can be achieved in the nearest feature.

Do you foresee the possibility of South East producing the president in 2023, as both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), the two major political parties, are likely to pick their candidates from other zones?

I don’t just foresee it. Rather, it is the right thing to do in order to give Ndigbo a sense of belonging as part of this great Nigeria Project. All Ndigbo needs to do is to build political bridges and make positive alignment in preparation for 2023. Only a united front and purpose can guarantee it for Ndigbo. But, I am telling you it is the right thing to do at this material time.

How do you think your party, PDP, should overcome the 2019 electoral loss to make positive impact and possibly take over the rein of governance in 2023 elections?

There is the need for the PDP to rein in their horses and go back to the drawing board to reinforce. There is a great task ahead between now and 2023. If the PDP has hid their card to their chest, the APC wouldn’t have had a field day in rigging the 2019 election as it did in 2019.

I blame the party’s leadership for allowing disunity to rob us the 2019 poll. They forgot the exigencies of harnessing their acts and working like a team. I recall the outright sell-out of the PDP senators that cost them the senate presidency, which was shocking.

PDP leadership needs to do much more to bring unity among the members. The PDP members have been all loyal to selves. They place personal interests above party loyalty. That is the only explanation why almost all of them reportedly received bribe at the dying minute and voted against their own party member in the Senate. It was a big shame.

I am a party man. I have always emphasised on party loyalty. Loyal party men don’t jump from one party to another at the slightest sign of challenge. Even before the election was over, some people abandoned ship and left Atiku alone thinking it was over. I was asking myself, were these people actually with us in the true sense of the word ‘US’? How can a supposed friend quickly abandon you at the slightest sign of challenge? I see this as one of the bane of our success as a party and a trend that should be checked in toto.

On this premise therefore, I advise that if PDP will make headway like the great party she is, they must learn how to put their acts together and work like a team because the task ahead is enormous. In the same vein, I am calling on the party to keep hope alive because I believe that Atiku/PDP will still come out victorious at the ongoing tribunal. PDP is a great party to reckon with any time any day. Our success lies in our ability to unit as the great party we are while shunning self-interest and putting the interest of the party first.

We should never lose focus as a result of the antics of the power grabbers because victory is ours. It is our responsibility to retrieve the mandate of the people from plunderers and harness it against 2023. If we don’t pull ourselves together now, we may still find ourselves grappling for what rightfully is ours. Let us rebuild PDP on the strong pillars of unity and party loyalty so that 2023 will be a walkover for us.

4 dead, 2 injured in another mass killing as man goes on two-hour rampage in Los Angeles

Four people are dead and two others injured after a man "full of anger" went on a two-hour stabbing rampage in a series of random attacks in Los Angeles.

The man, 33, killed two men at the apartment complex where he lives in Garden Grove before going on to kill a Subway worker and a security guard at a branch of 7-Eleven.

One of his victims was stabbed in the back at a petrol station as he filled his vehicle and was left with his nose almost severed completely off his face.

During the attacks, the man robbed several businesses across the area, including a bakery and an insurance business.

Police Lieutenant Carl Whitney said that the attacker was Hispanic and all his victims were Hispanic too. He said the motives were "robbery, hate and homicide".

He said: "We know this guy was full of anger and he harmed a lot of people tonight."

4 dead, 2 injured in another mass killing as man goes on two-hour rampage in Los Angeles

It is believed there had been some kind of confrontation at the attacker's apartment building that led to one person being stabbed in their flat and dying at hospital and another being found dead on the balcony.

The suspect’s silver Mercedes was tracked to the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store in Santa Ana, where a security guard was disarmed and stabbed to death, Mr Whitney said.

The owner of the bakery that was attacked said: "He went directly to the register and tried to open the register… he showed me a gun."

The attacker took all the money and fled, the woman revealed.

She added: "I think I was very lucky because he thought I was a customer, not the owner."

The mass killing comes just days after 31 people were killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Bakare Olalekan Mubarak: My Height, My Greatest Asset — Tallest Model In Nigeria
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 08-09-2019, 12:32 PM - No Replies

Quote:Standing at a towering height of 6 feet’8 inch, Bakare Olalekan Mubarak is currently the tallest model in sub-Saharan Africa, a record he has held since 2016. His intimidating height attracts stares everywhere he goes to. In a recent interview with Adefolami Balogun, Mubarak claims to be of same height as the tallest model in the world, Ekaterina Lisina, who is known for her slots in the Guinness Book of World Records. Mubarak also speaks about his modeling career, and achievements so far.

You’re known to be a professional model in this part of the world where people believe that modelling is for females, how did you find yourself in the industry?

For me, I have always felt that I needed to make a statement and it’s not all the tall guys that should play basketball. I feel we could make history and become legends doing some other things.

How long have you been a model?

I have been a model for over three years.

And what are your achievements so far?

(Laughing) Oh well, I wouldn’t want to say that I’ve achieved because I do not have a ‘no’ caution for optimism. I think I’ll comfortably say that I’m greedy when it comes to goals and achievements but I’ll say one of the greatest milestones I’ve attained was the record of being the tallest model in Nigeria first and then the tallest model in sub-Saharan Africa. I was first a pageant king in 2015, I’ve worked with renowned brands such as; Fashion TV, Glo Nigeria, Itel mobile, Zenith Bank, Afrotourism MESS, Los Angeles, to mention few.

Why are you adding culture and tourism as projects with your modeling career?

One of the greatest things I feel that I’ve achieved personally is bringing a change in the game which is like a fusion of modeling with tourism and culture which brings about my projects, ‘The Photo Waka’ and ‘The Modern African Man’.

‘Photo Waka’ is a trade mark initiative that is a fusion of modeling and tourism and it’s intended to promote the beauty of African culture and unite Africans through photo documentaries and on this one I have the Ooni of Ife as the grand patron. ‘The Modern African Man”’are world-class commercial clips showcasing the beauty of an Afrocentric man ranging from wears, accessories, etc, and concentrating on the details to show the beauty of African attires, lifestyles, culture, food, dance and everything about Africa. These are initiatives that came into existence out of a burning passion to promote our culture as a lover of culture.

What were the challenges you faced when you started?

Well, everyone has challenges, but I do not entertain challenges. I feel I have to do what I have to do. The first thing was the fear of failure and discouragement from people that were close to me. My father didn’t actually support me to become a model, he wanted me to live that predictable conventional life. He spent a lot putting me through school; I went to a private university and he expected that after school, I get a job and earn a living. But my own intentions were different. I don’t want to live a predictable conventional life, so it took me time to convince him about what I wanted to do.

What inspired you to becoming a model?

Back then, whenever I walked on the street even without wearing any designer cloth or anything, I got stared at a lot, I can tell categorically that 50 per cent of the people on the street whenever I walk stare at me or even say something about me. So I felt I could leverage on my height, I could capitalise on it and that was how it all started with me becoming Mr Kwara International in 2015.

What future achievements you are looking forward to?

I was recently confirmed to represent Nigeria amongst 53 other countries as Global Cultural Ambassador of the Commonwealth International Global Pageant in London by November. Again, I was conferred with the honor of the Cultural Ambassador at the prestigious Nike Art Gallery Limited and I’m hoping and praying for more to come.

Are you in a relationship?

(Laughs) No, I’m engaged to my career at the moment.

Who is Mubarak?

Well, I have a lot to say about Mubarak but I’ll just say a few. I am the tallest model in sub-Saharan Africa, based on evaluation I stand at the same height as the world’s tallest model. At 23, Bakare Mubarak is a hard worker with a humble personality, a model, an influencer, a graduate of accounting and also an ex-pageant king (Mr Kwara International 2015/2016).

Dangote Refinery Suffers Supply Hiccups: Completion Shifted Till 2020
User Avatar Forum: Oil/Gas
Posted by: Edoman - 08-09-2019, 12:30 PM - No Replies

Africa’s largest oil refinery will not be finished until the end of 2020 due to problems importing steel and other equipment, executives at Dangote, which is building the facility in Lagos said.

“We will be able to complete the (refinery) project by the end of next year – mechanical completion,” said Dangote Group Executive Director Devakumar Edwin, who oversees the project.

The company expects fuel production within two months of completion of the refinery, which could transform Africa’s biggest crude producer from a fuel importer into a net exporter, upending global trade patterns.

Billionaire Aliko Dangote, who built his fortune on cement, first announced a smaller refinery in 2013, to be finished in 2016. Dangote then moved the site to Lekki, in Lagos, upgraded the size and said production would start in early 2020.

Nigeria imports virtually all its fuel due to underutilised refineries, and even the state oil company is looking to the 650,000 barrel per day (bpd) Dangote refinery to help address this.

Price caps force NNPC to import nearly all its gasoline at a significant cost and periodic fuel shortages are common.

Despite the delays at the congested Apapa and Tin Can Island ports in Lagos, a Dangote executive said the company could start using the refinery’s tank farms as a depot to warm up operations.

Edwin also said during an interview at his office in Lagos that Dangote is setting up its own trading desk, with a senior team of three people and a staff of roughly 30 who will monitor international commodity prices.

“We are setting up a complete trading desk here with us. In the next three months the full desk will be set up,” he said.

Giuseppe Surace, the refinery’s chief operations officer, said the refinery’s tank farms will be finished this year and could be used as a warm-up for operations.

The tanks will be connected to five “single point mooring buoys” (SPMs), which will allow the refinery complex to pump crude straight into tanks from large ships at sea and pump products back out onto boats of any size.

The SPMs will be the primary method of supplying oil products from the refinery, Surace said, adding that the team were considering using the tanks as training or as a depot before the refinery’s production starts.

“We might do that. We will be ready to do that,” he said, though he added that no decision had been taken yet.

The team is in talks with NNPC, two other international oil companies and two large oil traders, all of whom are interested in supplying crude and buying products, Edwin said.

Edwin said the crude unit for the refinery, which set sail from China last month, would arrive by the end of October.

The trains at a fertilizer plant on the same site will start up by the end of this year, the executives said.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on Thursday August 8, confirmed the arrest of the soldier that shot a commercial motorcyclist at Opobo Junction area of Aba.

The soldier behind the killing was identified as 'CPL Ajayi' and it was gathered that he pursued the unarmed young man from Ohanze Village to Umuokereke Ngwa, a distance of about 25 kilometers and shot him at close range from behind over a N100 bribe.

The 30-year-old man Chimaobi Uzoukwa, left behind a pregnant wife, two sons and an aged mother.

The Abia State Governor promised to pursue the prosecution of the arrested soldier when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at Umuokereke Ngwa community in Obingwa Local Government Area of the state. Ikpeazu described the killing of the 30-year-old young man as wicked, malicious, unprofessional and cowardly, and also expressed deep sadness that a security personnel who is paid and maintained by tax payers money will turn around to kill the very person he is paid to secure.

The press statement released after Governor Ikpeazu's condolence visit by his Chief Press Secretary Onyebuchi Ememanka, reads in part;

Quote:Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has vowed that no stone will be left unturned in the quest for justice for the slain motorcyclist, Late Chimaobi Nwaorgu, who was gunned down by a soldier yesterday.
Governor Ikpeazu stated this today when he visited the family of the deceased at Ezido Na Ife Village, Umuokereke Ngwa in Obingwa LGA.
Accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ene Okon, Police Area Commander for Aba, ACP Opara and other senior Police Officers, Ikpeazu described the killing of the 30 year old young man as wicked, malicious, unprofessional and cowardly.
Quote:He expressed deep sadness that a security personnel who is paid and maintained by tax payers money will turn around to kill the very person he is paid to secure, stating that the circumstances surrounding the killing of the young man are unacceptable to the government and people of Abia State.
The Governor who was visibly emotionally shaken, wondered why a soldier will pursue an unarmed young man from Ohanze Village all the way to Umuokereke Ngwa, a distance of about 25 kilometers and shot him from behind, at point blank range.
According to the Governor, “This is one murder too many. We will do everything possible under the law to get this murderous soldier and bring him to justice. Whatever it takes, we will do. We will go to Abuja or any other place to ensure that this particular soldier doesn’t go scot free. The death of this young man is extremely painful and cannot go in vain. This is my position and this is the position of the Government and people of Abia State”.
The sight of the young wife, who has suddenly become a widow his two infant sons and his aged mother evokes a feeling of strong emotions and the atmosphere was very charged indeed.
The Governor assured the family that he will personally ensure that the young family is not allowed to suffer. He also announced that the soldier was arrested yesterday and is currently in detention and thanked the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ene Okon for the prompt response to the matter.
Governor Ikpeazu pleaded with the family and the entire community to take heart and accept the sad incident with philosophical calmness. While advising against violent demonstrations which could aggravate the already charged situation, the Governor told the people to trust his ability to pursue the deal with this matter decisively.

Taraba killings: Your press statement is insensitive, disrespectful and unpatriotic- Nigerian Police knocks Army

The Nigerian Police Force has described as insensitive, unpatriotic and disrespectful, the press statement from the Nigerian Army, explaining the circumstances that led to the killing of three police officers who were in Taraba state to effect the arrest of a notorious kidnap kingpin, Alhaji Hamisu Wadume.

Frank Mba, the spokeperson of the police force, in a statement released on Thursday night, August 8, knocked the Army for attempting to justify the unprovoked killing of the police officers by men of the Nigerian Army.

Recall that the Nigerian Army in a statement released, said the military officers mistook the police officers as kidnappers hence they were killed during a cross fire. According to the Army, its officers received a distress call that some armed men were attempting to abduct Hamisu. The Army says in response to the distress call, its men stormed the area and fired gunshots at the ''suspected kidnappers.''

Reacting to the Army's claim, the Police challenged the Nigerian Army on the whereabout of Hamisu who they claim to be the victim of kidnapping. The Police also wondered why the Army officers shot their police counterparts at close range despite the many attempts made at identifing themselves as security agents.

Read the press statement below

Quote:The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to the Press Release by the Nigerian Army seeking to justify the unprovoked and unwarranted murder of three (3) Police officers and one (1) Civilian, and serious injury to other operatives, who were on legitimate criminal investigation activities to Taraba State, to arrest one Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume indicted in a series of high-profile kidnap incidents in the State.
In the best tradition of Esprit de Corps, Inter-Agency Harmony and National Interest, the Nigeria Police Force would naturally have kept quiet, but it has become imperative to set the record straight by addressing the obvious distortion of facts inherent in the Press Release by the Nigerian Army.
The most important question arising from the Nigerian Army Press Release is: Where is Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume? Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume is a millionaire kidnapper arrested by the Police but paradoxically treated as a ‘‘kidnap victim’’ by the Soldiers and subsequently ‘rescued’ by them. Where is he? Where is the rescued kidnapper?
Secondly, the Press Release was silent on the source of the alleged distress report or identity of the complainant, on the strength of whose report, the Army claimed had informed their decision to engage in the purported chase and rescue operation. Needless to state that in the true spirit of transparency and accountability, the Nigerian Army ought to have arrested the purported distress caller - if any - for obviously and deliberately furnishing them with false and misleading information. Besides, such arrest should in fact be made public!
Thirdly, it is not true that the Policemen failed to identify themselves as alleged in the Press Release. The video on the incident, now viral, wherein the voice of one of the soldiers was heard loudly proclaiming that the Policemen were from the Force Headquarters, Abuja speaks volume. Besides, the presence of the IRT personnel was well known to the Taraba Police Command as the Operatives officially and properly documented not only at the State Command Headquarters but also at the Wukari Area Command and the Ibi Divisional Headquarters. As a matter of fact, some of the Detectives from the Taraba State Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were part of the operation.
The Force also considers it insensitive, disrespectful and unpatriotic for the Press Release by the Army to continue to describe Policemen on lawful National Assignment as ‘suspected kidnappers’ long after it had become crystal clear to the Army that these are Law Enforcement Officers who unfortunately were gruesomely murdered in the line of duty by Nigerian soldiers attached to 93 Battalion, Takum.
In the final analysis, we leave the Nigerian Army authorities to provide Nigerians with answers on the following questions emanating from their Press Release:
· Where is the notorious kidnapper, Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume ‘rescued’ by the soldiers?
· How and why was Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume released by the soldiers?
· How could a kidnap suspect properly restrained with handcuffs by the Police escape from the hands of his military rescuers?
· If Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume is a ‘‘victim of kidnap’’ as claimed, and properly rescued by soldiers, why was he not taken to the Army Base for documentation purposes and debriefing in line with the Standard Operating Procedure in the Nigerian Army?
· Why were the Police Operatives shot at close range even after they had identified themselves as Police Officers on legitimate duty as evident in the video now in circulation?

Three Nigerians desperate to reach Europe by all means hid in a Europe-bound ship that departed Lagos port. But the Nigerians had their plans scuttled when they were discovered on board the ship at Ghana’s port of Tema.

The unidentified Nigerians, according to Ghana News Agency, said they boarded the ship separately with the mission to seek greener pastures in Europe.

Two of the stowaways said it was not their first time, trying to sail to Europe illegally. They had made it before, but were deported. The Port Security Manager, Joseph Punamane said the Nigerian stowaways would be repatriated to Nigeria.

He advised the stowaways to discontinue embarking on such illegal voyages, citing many instances where failed attempts have led to extreme injuries and sometimes deaths.

IMN rejects El-Zakzaky's tough bail conditions

Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, has rejected the stringent conditions attached to the bail of thier leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, by the Kaduna State Government.

In a statement by the organisation’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Musa, shortly after a brief protest by members in Abuja on Thursday, the IMN said that the conditions attached to the bail application was a ploy by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, to silence El-Zakzaky in detention.

Quote:Musa said, “sequel to the press statement released by Kaduna State Government dated August 7 and signed by Samuel Aruwan stating terms and conditions for the medical leave of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife, we wish to inform the public that the conditions are not more than a desperate move by el-Rufai to assassinate the Sheikh in detention, and we hereby turn down the conditions.”
The Kaduna State Government, had among other things, asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to verify if truly El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenah, have medical appointments with the Medanta Hospital, India.

It also asked the Federal Government to get the Indian government to commit to an agreement that it would not grant asylum to the IMN leader and his wife under any circumstance.

#BBNaija Love Triangle: Nigerians disappointed with Frodd for dumping Venita to spend the night on Esther's bed (Photo)

Fans of Big Brother Naija reality show woke up this morning to the somewhat 'shocking' update that Frodd dumped Venita to spend the night on Esther's bed.

Now, here's the back story! At the beginning of the season, Frodd made his feelings and intentions known to Esther, but she turned him down on several occasions that even caused Frodd to cry a couple of times.

Then Venita, one of the new housemates entered the house and somehow, she 'clicked' with Frodd and fans of the show became genuinely happy that Frodd has finally been compensated. Esther however remained in the picture and the 'love triangle' has been a bit of an issue in the house.

Frodd and Esther

Last night however, Frodd, risked it all by 'dumping' Venita (who fans believe genuinely 'likes' him) to spend the night with Esther (who fans believe doesn't have feelings for him)

See all the reactions below....

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY 09 AUGUST 2019

NO EXCUSES

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it (Habakkuk 2:2).

One of the things you must ensure in your personal life is to get rid of excuses. Do what you ought to do, say what you ought to say—at the right time, and in the right way. When you want to live a life of glory, power, success, and influence, you shun mediocrity and excuses.

As long as you make excuses, you can’t be excellent. Be known for excellence, for glory, because that’s your calling in Christ. He called you to display His wonderful deeds, virtues, perfections, excellence, and wisdom: “...that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).

What vision did the Spirit of God lay in your heart to have achieved by the end of the year? Review the current status and make up your mind there’ll be no excuses. Stay focused and disciplined; tell yourself it’s going to be nothing short of excellence. Be challenged and motivated by the joy and anticipation of an excellent finish.

Many procrastinate, and give excuses for their poor performance or ineffectiveness. Choose to win. Choose to succeed. Success is measured at different stages. So, do your best now, and then move on to the next stage.

Do the right thing at the right time, for the right purpose. Be consistent. Be diligent. Don’t be that person who always starts things but never completes them. Persevere in transforming your vision into reality. You’re sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency (2 Corinthians 3:5). In Him, you’re up to any task; you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

CONFESSION

I live a life of glory, power, and influence, displaying the virtues, perfections, excellence and wisdom of Christ. I exercise carefulness, persistence and determination in ensuring excellence in all that I do, exuding commitment and perseverance in transforming my vision into reality. I’m effective and productive, transforming challenges to opportunities as I soar in greatness. Hallelujah!

Viết tắt của First Half Handicap (kèo châu Á hiệp 1), First Half Over / Under (Kèo tài xỉu hiệp 1) và First Half 1×2 (kèo châu Âu hiệp 1)

A Beninese cook identified as Samuel Tchiki has been arrested alongside his compatriots for stealing a politician's $22,000 in Abuja.

The suspects stole the safe the money was in, vandalised it before embarking on a shopping spree with the money. Other suspects arrested for the theft include Francis Kpohouede, George Akinto, Donald Tokpe, Honore Tokpe and Emmanuel Savi and the police only recovered $13,000 from them as they reportedly bought television sets, sound systems, generators and other domestic appliances with stolen money.

Tchiki has been living in Nigeria since 2008 and reportedly moved to Abuja because of poor salary after working in a hotel in Cross River State.

Quote:“When my boss, Casmir Anyanwu, travelled, I got my friends to carry the safe from his room and we took it to Mpape, where we opened it. We found $22,000, which we shared. I gave my brother $600. I spent my share on clothes and home appliances. I don’t know what got into me; I can’t say why I stole the money,” Tchiki told Punch.

FCT's Commissioner of Police Bala Ciroma, advised Nigerians to carry out background checks on domestic workers before employing them as he paraded the suspects who have all confessed to the crime.

Governor Nyesom Wike promises N30m reward for information that’ll lead to arrest of Bobrisky

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State has promised to give N30 million to anyone who gives useful information that will lead to the arrest of those who killed a Director with the Rivers State Government during the Choba crisis as well as the capture of notorious criminal called Bobrisky in Gokana Local Government Area.

Wike made the pledge on Thursday, August 8th when he handed over 40 Patrol Vans fitted with Communication Gadgets to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), See 4 Eye, Police Anti-Kidnapping, Police Anti-Cultism, Federal Road Safety Corps and Eagle Crime at the Government House Port Harcourt.

He also declared that the state government was fully prepared to tackle insecurity and would do everything required to protect lives and property, declaring that the state government had proscribed all youth groups operating in the state because they had been hijacked by cultists.

Quote:“Rivers State Government is fully prepared and will do everything required to protect lives and property. Without the protection of lives and property, there will be no governance and development.
“We are one State that has suffered neglect from the Federal Government in terms of support to fight insecurity. They have refused to pay back funds that we used in constructing Federal projects. But that will not stop us from intervening when the need arises”, he said.
The Governor said that he resolved to increase the support to the security agencies because of the successes recorded by Operation Sting. He regretted that cultists had taken over youth groups across the State, necessitating the state government proscribing all youth Ggroups.
Quote:“Anybody operating under a youth body henceforth will be arrested by security agencies. Before you contest for any youth body’s leadership, you must send the names to the DSS and Police for screening. If they are cultists, we will not allow them to operate,” he said.
Wike said that the vehicles and gunboats donated to the security agencies must be deployed to secure Rivers State. He announced that the Rivers State Government would establish a Trust Fund to cater for the families of policemen who lose their lives while fighting crime.
