Police Arrest IPOB Members Who Attacked Ekweremadu In Germany - Edoman - 08-18-2019

The police in Germany have arrested some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who attacked Senator Ike Ekweremadu earlier today in the country, Igbere TV reports.

This was according to Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, who made the revelation in a tweet sighted by Igbere TV.

“I condemn in its entirety the attack on former DSP Ike Ekeremadu at an event in Nuremberg, Germany, nobly put together by Ndi Igbo Germany, where he was attacked.

“I hope the culprits, some of whom have been arrested, will face consequences for their shamefully pathetic actions,” she wrote.

Igbere TV had reported that Senator Ekweremadu, who currently represents Enugu West, was pelted with stones on Saturday, by members of the IPOB in far away Germany.

The former Deputy Senate President was seen in a viral video being assaulted when he attended the second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention of the Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nuremberg.

Here is a video of IPOB man in Germany, bragging about how they attacked and beat up Ike Ekweremadu like a common criminal.

According to him, IPOB is all over Europe and America, and people like Ekweremadu are not welcome in Germany.

"We won't stop until Ike Ekweremadu runs away from Germany. He can go to anywhere in the world but not in Germany, Europe. It's obvious that Ekweremadu has received the greatest shock of his life."

He was seen bragging in the presence of German police who stormed the area to maintain peace.

Update: German police say nobody has been arrested over Senator Ike Ekweremadu's attack

German police says nobody has been arrested in connection with the attack and humiliation of former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, at the New Yam Festival last Saturday August 17th.
 
Speaking in an interview with Channels tv, the press officer of Nuremberg police, Seebaurer Rainer, said 
 
Quote:''The Secretary from Nigeria came and about 30 people demonstarted against him. The police was called and they calmed the situation and the secretary or Minister whoever he was, drove away with his car and everything was over. Nobody was arrested.
