DAILY POST recalls that Omashola, Cindy, Esther, Sir Dee, Tacha and Frodd were on Monday put up for possible eviction next week.
However, Ike, who has the Veto power saved Omashola and replaced him with Cindy. 
Mercy, speaking to Diane on Tuesday, claimed Omashola brainwashed Ike into saving him before the nomination challenge.
She explained that Omashola, knowing that Ike had the veto power to save anyone had called him to the garden some minutes before the challenge; dishing advice to him.

According to Mercy, this act from Omashola won Ike’s heart and that was the reason he saved him.
Mercy added that she was surprised at Ike’s decision because she thought he was going to save Tacha, not Omashola.
“I was shocked when Ike called out Omashola to save him, I thought he was going to save Tacha.
“Omashola brainwashed Ike into saving him with his Veto-power when he took him aside to advise him not to challenge Khafi’s HoH title.”

Islamic group sends message to Buhari over herders, farmers clash
 


An Islamic group, Nasrulahi-l Fatih Society (NASFAT), has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to reveal the identities of those arrested in connection with various farmers and herders clashes in the country with a view to bringing them to book with immediate effect.
The charge was made by NASFAT’s Chief Missioner, Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, in a statement issued on Tuesday night in Lagos.

The statement read in part: “Government must reveal the identities of those arrested in connection with herders, farmers clashes to Nigerians, with a view to dispelling the rumour and countering the narrative that the crimes were perpetrated only by Muslim.”
Onike added that the orgy of violent farmer/herdsmen clashes being experienced in some parts of Nigeria had nothing to do with religion as he blamed the unrest on Climate Change, increased urbanisation and lack of mutual trust among the populace.
“Why did every governor accept the National Livestock Transformation Policy of the government, but some of them kicked against the government genuine efforts to tame the frequent clashes between farmers and herdsmen through RUGA (Rural Urban Grazing Area).

“Is it that the policy was not well communicated?
“There is, therefore, the need for government to always endeavour to communicate its policies clearly and not give room for mischief makers to perpetrate their evil intention,” said the NASFAT leader.

46-year-old Pius Ezekwem, a Nigerian businessman residing in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa has been killed.

According to reports, Pius who ran a chain of bed and breakfast guest houses, was picked up by eight police officers at a Nigerian eatery last weekend and was forcefully taken to his home for a search and interrogation.

An argument between Pius and the South African police officers degenerated so fast that a gun shot was fired, leading to Pius' death. Pius was married to a South African who was present at the scene of the incident. He reportedly asked the policemen to kill him in his house as he would not follow them to where they wanted to take him to. Sadly, the policemen allegedly killed him in the presence of his family.

All phones were seized except that of Pius' sister in-law who recorded his altercation with the police.

Confirming the incident, the Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, Godwin Adama, said a formal report has been launched to the South African police on the incident.

An autopsy has been carried out but the result has not been released.

Not one of the police officers have been arrested.

Three students of the faculty of law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria have been kidnapped on Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

The students are said to be in their final year at the university.

Abuja-Kaduna road is notorious for being a flash-point of kidnappings. In April, Mahmood Abubakar, chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), and his daughter were kidnapped on the road.

The latest incident is coming a few weeks after 510 police officers were deployed in the area.

This was coming as locals in the area claimed the number of persons kidnapped in the village is 48 persons, out of which seven were set free, two escaped while the kidnappers attempted to kidnap the village head but due to his health condition decided to set him free and now leaving the number of persons in the kidnappers custody at 39 persons.

The Spokesperson maintained that only five were still in captivity while the 10 rescued have been reunited with their families in the village.

According to ASP Gezawa, “DPO Kurfi reported that today 27/08/2019 at about 0015hrs unknown gunmen in large numbers invaded Wurma village of Kurfi LGA and abducted Fifteen (15) women including the Daughter and Daughter in law of the Village head, Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed (M).

“Bandits also carted away unspecified number of cattle.

“DPO led a team of policemen to the scene but hoodlums had already escaped.

"Subsequently at about 1400hrs Ten (10) out of the Fifteen (15) abducted women have been rescued and reunited with their families at Wurma village, Kurfi L.G.A.

“Effort are intensified to rescue the victims and possible arrest of culprits,” ASP Gezawa stated.

Local source said, “the armed bandits invaded Wurma village in Kurfi LGA and kidnapped 39 people including former vice chairman of the local government and other family members of the village head (2 daughter and four granddaughters).

"They cart away with livestock, raid all shops and left with properties and other valuables.

“The bandits kidnapped 48 people, out of which they set free seven persons, two escaped. The kidnappers attempted to kidnap the village head but due to his health condition decided to set him free and go with his phone to reach across to them (kidnappers) if the need arises.

“This is leaving the number of persons in the kidnappers custody at 39 persons,” the source said.

In a related development, it was gathered that the bandits had on Sunday night engaged security operatives in Jibia local government area of the state in a gun duel resulting in the burning down of four vehicles (three vehicles belonging to the Army and one belonging to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC).

The incident happened when the security operatives got a distress call that the bandits had barricaded Shinfida road, Jibia LGA and swung into action but were said to be over powered by the bandits.

The Spokesperson, Katsina State Police Command, ASP Anas Gezawa who confirmed the development said, “On 25/08/19 at 2008hrs, a distress call was received that a large number of bandits blocked Shinfida Road by crossing point and were exchanging heavy fire with joint Police/military teams, DPO Jibia reinforced additional teams to the scene to curtail the situation.

“In the process, the hoodlums burnt down three military and one civil Defense operational vehicles, other vehicles conveying members of Shimfida villagers from market are also affected, three women

2) Jamila Ibrahim 45yrs
3) karima Musa 65yrs, sustained gunshot wounds and are taken to Jibiya hospital and were later transferred to General Hospital Katsina,” the police spokesperson said.

Buhari Desperate To Distract Attention From G-7 Snub

My attention has been drawn to a planted story by the Nigerian Presidency, claiming that my tweet that General Buhari was not invited to the G 7 Summit because of his misrule is “misleading”. I am glad they did not say I lied. They only said it is misleading. Since that is the case, let me clarify.

The article claimed that African nations are invited to the G-7 on a rotational basis. This is not true. African nations are invited to the G-7 based on their economy and their governance and the RELEVANCE of both of these to the G-7.

For instance, the largest economies in Africa will usually be invited, except where such economies have governance challenges arising from misrule or other anti democracies practices, such as compromised elections.

Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy (due to past governments, not the Buhari junta) and should naturally be invited to represent Africa at the G-7. The claim by the Presidency’s hired guns that Nigeria was not invited due to the rotational invitation policy does not hold water.

Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame was invited to the 2018 G-7 summit which held in Quebec, Canada in June of 2018. He is also invited to and is attending the ongoing G-7 summit holding in Biarritz, France.

If the invitations were done rotationally, as the Presidency’s hired guns would like Nigerians to believe, Kagame would not have been invited to the G-7 back to back. Kagame was invited back to back because he is relevant to the G-7.

The truth is that Nigeria was not invited to the G-7 summit because of governance and democracy challenges. For example, just a week before the summit began, Nigeria was censured for misrule by a G-7 member state.

It will be recalled that on August 18, 2019, just a week before the G-7 summit in France began, the US Department of State released the 2019 Fiscal Transparency Report which classified the General Buhari led Nigerian government as “not fiscally transparent.”

The timing of the release of the 2019 Fiscal Transparency Report was not coincidental. It had followed Travel and Visa Bans by the US government against Nigerian politicians that had undermined the 2019 Nigerian elections of which prominent members of the Buhari junta were targeted.

Beyond that, Nigeria, under General Buhari’s misrule, has deteriorated to the point whereby it has been overtaken by Ghana as West Africa’s number one destination for Foreign Direct Investments. We must be aware that the G-7 is above all an ECONOMIC SUMMIT. Hence Ghana was invited and Nigeria was not.

It is obvious that General Buhari was embarrassed by his G-7 snub. Why else would the Presidency hire hack writers to attack me for saying the truth? Why else would Buhari go to Japan to visit the Japanese Prime Minister at a time when the Japanese leader was in France?

Only a JOBLESS leader leaves his country to visit another leader, when that leader is not in his country. A serious leader, knowing that his host did not consider him important enough to be around when he visited, would have sent a minister to represent him.

But General Buhari went to Japan at the same time as the Japanese Prime Minister was in Biarritz, France, attending the G-7 summit. That alone tells you how desperate President Buhari is to cover his embarrassing snub.

FBI arrested Invictus Obi at the airport just before ‘escaping’ US — risks 20 years in prison

Obinwanne Okeke, Invictus Group CEO, who is popularly known as Invictus Obi, was arrested at the Dulles International Airport, while leaving the United States, TheCable can report.

According to information obtained from the US federal court in Virginia, US, Okeke was scheduled to return to Nigeria four day after a complaint was filed against him at the court, and was arrested at the airport, just before he got on the flight to Nigeria.

An order of detention pending trial was filed on August 2, 2019, on the grounds that “by a preponderance of evidence that no condition or combination of conditions of release will reasonably assure the defendant’s (Okeke) appearance as required”.

A source familiar about the matter told TheCable via mail that “the attached court documents from the US federal court in Norfolk, Virginia confirm that Okeke was indeed arrested by the FBI, on August 6 at the Dulles International Airport”.

According to his arrest warrant obtained by TheCable, he was taken for violation of US laws as it concerns “conspiracy to commit computer fraud” and “conspiracy to commit wire fraud”.


The Arrest Warrant

The affidavit sworn by Marshall Ward, a special agent with FBI, had said as of August 2, 2019, “the date of this application, OKEKE is currently in the United States, and is scheduled to depart the country on August 6, 2019”.

“Therefore, a warrant for his arrest is immediately required to apprehend him and prevent his retum to Nigeria, where he would be beyond the reach of U.S. law enforcement.”

THE BACKGROUND

In June 2018, Unatrac Holding Limited, a company which deals in sales of heavy industrial and farm equipment, was said to have approached the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) over a breach in the email account of its chief financial officer where a fraudulent transfer of funds was done.

The intruder was said to have sent phishing emails containing a web link, purportedly to the login page of the CFO’s online email account hosted by Microsoft Office 365.

Believing the link to be genuine, the CFO was said to have imputed his username and password from where the intruder got full access to the account and sent a fraudulent wire transfer request to the company’s internal financial team.

Acting under the impression that the email emanated from the CFO, the finance staff processed approximately 15 payments between April 11 to 19, 2018, totalling $11 million.

‘INVICTUS OBI MAY GET CLOSE TO 20-YEAR JAIL TERM’


Okeke, who requested to for substitution of legal counsel is now being represented by John O. Iweanoge, II and THE IWEANOGES FIRM. The Iweanoges took over from Rahul Sharma, a US federal public defender.

Based on precedence, Okeke could get between five and twenty years jail term for conspiracy to commit computer and wire fraud.

According to the Legal Information Institute, anyone who “knowingly and with intent to defraud, accesses a protected computer without authorization, or exceeds authorized access, and by means of such conduct furthers the intended fraud and obtains anything of value, unless the object of the fraud and the thing obtained consists only of the use of the computer and the value of such use is not more than $5,000 in any 1-year period”.

If the financial value of information taken exceeds $5,000, the convicted shall be subject to a fine or imprisonment for not more than ten years, or both.

As for wire fraud, a person convicted for a single act of wire fraud can result in fines and up to 20 years in prison, according to criminal defence attorneys in the United States.

Persons familiar with wire fraud cases in the US told TheCable that a combination of these sentences could result in a higher jail term for the estranged Nigerian entrepreneur.

I was assaulted by policemen for refusing them sex – FUTA Student




 
The female student of Federal University of Technology Akure Ondo State, left with grievious injuries by policemen, has revealed that she was assaulted for refusing to have sex with the security operatives. 
 
The student identified as Sheba Ogbu, said the incident happened at about 9:30pm along Oyemekun Road in Akure on Sunday August 25. Ogbu alleged that she was accosted by the policemen in their patrol van on her way home from church. 
 
She further stated that her head was smashed with a stone following her refusal to have sex with the policemen who found nothing incriminating in her bag after a search. Sahara Reporters reported that the undergraduate and her family threatened to sue the Nigeria Police Force for the assault.
 
However commenting on the assault incident, the Ondo state Police spokesperson Femi Joseph, said the matter involved two drunk students who were on a motorcycle. According to him, the students' refusal to be searched led to one of students getting injured after being slightly pushed by one of the policemen.

The arrested convener of  #RevolutionNow protests, Omoyele Sowore has denied claims of being in contact with “foreign collaborators” in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries to destabilize President Buhari's government.. 
 
Sowore who also denied visiting Dubai or any UAE cities, further dispelled DSS' allegation of receiving “millions of dollars” from the alleged collaborators to sponsor widespread attacks in Nigeria. 
 
Maintaining that he only mobilised Nigerians “to address the crises of corruption, maladministration, mismanagement of the economy and insecurity”, Sowore also disclosed that he willingly provided his local and foreign banks’ account details to the DSS. 
 
Punch reported that the #RevolutionNow Protests convener countered DSS' allegation in a “further affidavit” filed  on Tuesday August 27, before the Federal High Court in Abuja in support of his motion challenging the order for his detention which the court issued at the instance of the DSS on August 8, 2019. 
 
One of his lawyers from Femi Falana’s law firm, Mr Marshall Abubakar told newsmen that Sowore only “mobilised the Nigerian people including students and youths, workers, market women and other oppressed people to influence the Federal government, the 36 state governments and 774 local governments to address the crises of corruption, and insecurity" as he filed the 'further affidavit' in court. 
 
 

College student badly injured after falling from her 6th floor balcony while attempting an extreme yoga pose




 
A Mexican college student survived an 80-foot fall after slipping from her balcony.
 
Alexa Terrazas, 23, was doing an extreme yoga pose over the edge of her sixth-floor apartment balcony when she slipped and landed on the driveway of her building in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon this weekend.  
 
Alexa fell approximately at 1:10pm local time and was immediately tended to by paramedics from the Red Cross and the Nuevo Leon Civil Protection. She was taken to a local hospital and underwent 11 hours of surgery. She was listed in critical condition as she suffered fractures to both of her legs and arms as well as her hips and head.  
 
Mexican outlet El Imparcial reported that Terrazas might not walk for three years after doctors were forced to reconstruct her broken legs. According to the outlet, neighbors said they were used to seeing Terrazas perform the dangerous stunt from her balcony's edge.

GLORYING IN TRIBULATION

Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned… (2 Corinthians 11:23-25).

The Apostle Paul experienced great deal of tribulations during his ministry. He was severely persecuted. Read our opening scripture again; He faced death at different times, and at a point, he was abandoned by all his friends while in prison (2 Timothy 1:15).

Nonetheless, in spite of all that he suffered for the sake of the Gospel, he penned such inspiring words in Romans 5:3, part of which says, “…we glory in tribulations….” Blessed thought! Meaning that there can be hard times, but they’re for our glory.

Hallelujah! It’s a reiteration of what James said in James 1:2, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

No matter the trouble, no matter the tribulation that you face, rejoice. Whatever challenge you may be facing today is tailor-made for you; it’s for your promotion and glory. Therefore, let not your heart be troubled. Things may seem tough and difficult today. Outwardly, it may look as though your confessions of the Word and commitment to the Gospel aren’t yielding any result; remain unflustered! Keep your focus on Christ and His eternal Word.

I love the inspiring way Paul puts it in 2 Corinthians 4:16. He said, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” We’re indestructible. He continued in verses 17 and 18: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Hold on to the Word. Like Abraham, against hope, believe in hope (Romans 4:18), knowing that no matter what happens, you’ll win. Romans 12:12 tells us to rejoice in hope and be patient in tribulation. The night may be dark and long, but guaranteed: joy comes in the morning. Glory to God!

Breaking: Lagos State House of Assembly inaugurates committee to probe the administration of ex-Governor Akinwunmi Ambode






The Lagos State House of Assembly has inaugurated a committee to probe the administration of ex-Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.  
 
As part of its mandate, the Honorable Fatai Mojeed led committee is mandated to investigate the purchase of 820 buses that had been scheduled for public transport in the state.
 
The embattled ex-governor is also under investigation by EFCC on alleged cases of mismanagement of state funds.

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has disclosed that the collaboration between the Commission and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, FBI, has led to the recovery of the sums of $314,000 (Three Hundred and Fourteen Thousand US Dollars) and about N373,000,000 (Three Hundred and Seventy-three Million Naira) from perpetrators of computer-related frauds.

Magu said while the sum of $314,000 had been recovered, the sum of N373m had been traced to various commercial banks by the Lagos Zonal office of the Commission. He also disclosed that the recent joint operations coordinated by the Commission had yielded 28 arrests, adding that 14 suspects had been charged and convicted.

The EFCC Chair further stated that “nine of the suspects are currently undergoing trial, while five are still under investigations. “Over 80 cases are still under investigation from the EFCC-FBI joint operations.”

Speaking during a media briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Magu, who spoke through Mohammed Rabo, Zonal Head, EFCC, Lagos, added that, the Lagos zone of the Commission, prior to the collaborative efforts with the FBI, had independently launched a sustained operation on perpetrators of various computer-related frauds.

He said: “From 2018 to date, the EFCC had launched a sustained operation on perpetrators of various computer-related frauds, which resulted in over 200 arrests, 130 convictions and recovery of a large number of exotic cars and properties suspected to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime. “We had independently launched intensive investigative actions against the infamous Yahoo yahoo boys culminating in various strategic raids and onslaught on their hideouts.

“Our efforts in this regard have recorded tremendous successes leading to a number of arrests, prosecutions and convictions.”

President Buhari sacks Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Tor Ujah






President Buhari has approved the immediate termination of appointment of the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Reverend Tor Ujah. 
 
In a statement released by the Director (Information) at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, the Federal government says the termination was in line with the provision of Section 4, Sub-Section 3 of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission Act.

He said that Ujah has been directed to hand over to Mrs. Esther Kwaghe, Director of Administration in the Commission, who is to oversee the Office, pending the appointment of a Substantive Executive Secretary.

Chief Olabode George, the Atona Oodua Of Yorubaland, is a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In this interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI, he speaks on the state of the nation, new Ministers and portfolio, as well as solution to Nigeria’s security challenge. Excerpts:

President Muhammadu Buhari last week inaugurated his cabinet but he has come under severe criticisms for asking Ministers who want to meet him to go through Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff. Do you think Mr. President is right?

My take is this: there is a saying that different stroke for different times. Maybe that is the methodology the President wants to adopt. During the era PDP was in power, the way we operated when we were in government, ministers have direct access to the President because as executive president, he appointed them and entrusted the running of such strategic ministries to them to manage. If he now decides to have a clearing house or choke-point, to me personally, that will delay decision making. As a Minister, when you go to the President, you have discussions with him on the challenges you are facing in your ministry and if you need his assistance in one way or the other, you can tell him immediately. That is the way we operated.

There is no legality about it so if the President thinks that is the best style he wants to adopt, I wish him the best because this will greatly delay decision making. There is no time to fritter away now in Nigeria. Every minutes matters a lot in governance because the people are hungry and they are therefore very angry. That is one major issue.

As a leader, you fast-track decision making but when you are mandated to see the Chief of Staff before seeing the President, it means you have to first take your case to the Chief of Staff before he now takes it to the President.

Don’t forget, he is also human and he has his duties already. He is responsible for the daily programmes and activities of the President, in terms of his timing and arrangement so that there is no collision of events.

If a Minister wants to see the President, he should go straight, see him and take quick decisions. The whole thing will slow down governance and that to me will not be in the interest of Nigerians. On our part, we are still hoping in our party that maybe the Tribunal will be quite favourable to us and our mode of operation will be very different, effective and impacting on the lives and minds of Nigerians. There is too much suffering in the land. The President himself said Nigerians are hungry and he is now putting roadblock on the way of the Ministers; that to me is worrisome. How many ministers can that man (Kyari) attend to in a day? I wish us the best under this administration.

The President also created new Ministries and also removed Power Ministry from the portfolios of Babatunde Fashola. Do you think this is a good move?

Like I just said, I am not a member of their party. As a Nigerian, my prayer is that whatever methodology the President wants to adopt, that is his prerogative as long he is acting within the laws of this nation. The taste of a pudding is actually in eating it. We saw the last four years of the current administration. To me, it was a charade. The next four years, we are waiting. However, as a Nigerian, we pray for whoever is in authority. That is what God told us to do in Romans 12. But when it comes to PDP, as a party leader, we will reserve our comment till the last year of his government. But now, we are still hoping that the court will give us judgment and that they will be fair and honest. If we get there, we know what to do. But since President Buhari is still there, there should be no vacuum. If we didn’t win in court, we will allow them to keep running. We will only interject when the thing gets too unbearable. Also, the last year of his governance will be time for politics and we in the PDP will come out massively.

What is your reaction to the attack on former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nuremberg Germany?

One, as a Nigerian, I feel very sad. If you have a family feud, traditionally in an African setting, you don’t take your mess to the market place. I don’t want to go into details what Ekweremadu or IPOB members did, but this is a nation that is blessed with many resources, both human and material. If they have a grudge, there are better ways of addressing issue. What happened in Germany lowers our respectability in the civilised world. From that angle, they could have been a bit calmer in a foreign land. I don’t know the kind of news that will spread in Germany. They will say look at Nigerians. If you remember, Nuremberg is the place where they had the trials of the Nazi Generals. My take is that the IPOB members could have expressed their anger through words. They could have told him to his face that they are not happy with what is going on at home but to resort to hounding, hitting and tearing the cloth of a former Deputy Senate President is uncalled for. I want to appeal to them and everybody that we should please tone down because we are getting to the precipice. Violence will never resolve any problem, it is dialogue. That was why I had suggested on several occasion that this government must intentionally call for a national dialogue. Everybody is heading in different direction and that is not good for the cohesion of our nation. A divided house is a defeated house. I am happy that the President accepted that there is hunger in the land and he said that to the new Ministers. How do you resolve it? What about the security of lives and property? Every day, we hear unpleasant news. It is either one policeman is killed here or some civilians are killed or kidnapped. That is enough to call for a national dialogue. As a democratic nation, if things are heating up this way, it means there is a need for a dialogue to be chaired by the President. The solution to the problems in this country cannot be resolved by one man. It has to be a collective responsibility. That is what we in PDP will do as a party. We need to call ourselves together and resolve all those grey areas where people are pontificating on. The gulf between the tribes, rather than closing up is getting wider by the hour. We need to resolve this amicably, sensibly and with the love for all our people.

You are advocating for a national dialogue, what about the 2014 national conference that the current administration has refused to implement but kept in the archives?

What I am talking about when I said national dialogue, I am not extending it to the whole gamut of our problems. There is one major cancer ravaging this country today and that is the insecurity of lives and property. They keep talking of herdsmen attacks in the South but what about Zamfara, Plateau, Taraba, Kaduna and other places in the North? So, it is no longer a Southern issue, it is a national malady going on. For me, the issues discussed at the national confab are the detailed way by which Nigeria should be managed. The 2014 confab report is a much bigger issue, this discussion or dialogue will be centred mainly on how to effectively secure this nation. The national conference took months, this one I am advocating is like a National Town Hall meeting which can be done in a day or two. All over Nigeria, people will be represented; from governors, youths, traditional rulers, clerics, market women and so on. It will be televised for all Nigerians to see. People will say what they are experiencing in their locality and the President will listen to them and decisions that can be taken will be taken on the spot; otherwise the Ministers at the meeting will know the areas that concern them. That is how we used to run the traditional African setting. When there is a crisis in the village, the king will send the traditional rulers and invite everyone to a meeting where the issues will be discussed. We can’t say because we are now in a civilised world, we now jettison that method. A lot needs to be done in the area of security in this country.

What is your take on calls for creation of states police as a panacea to the security challenges?

I believe there is an urgent need to start state policing in the country. Let every state go and look for the best way to manage the security issues in their domain. We copy the American constitution. Why did we half-copy it in the area of security? In America, we have County Police, State Police and the FBI. Everybody knows what level they are; once a situation passes a level, the other takes over. Why can’t we do that here to be effective? Policing is local. In every community, if the police there are from that community, they will be very effective because you will know them and they know you. If they see any strange fellow hanging around, they ask questions. Employ the locals as policemen to secure their neighbourhood but their activities will be detailed. Once something is more than what they can do, the national police take over the place. It will be very effective at least for maintaining peace and order in a community. Maybe this can be adopted during the national town hall meeting because people will proffer solutions. We have just 334,000 policemen in Nigeria for 200,000 people. How can they effectively secure the people? It is not possible. What are the functions of the military versus the police? I know that there is an operation we call ‘Aid to Civil Power’ in the military. Once there is an insurgency and the Police can no longer cope, they go back to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP). The IGP in turn will go to the Commander-in- Chief and tell him ‘ Mr. President, we can no longer cope, we need the support of the military. It is the Commander-in- Chief who can deploy troops. Once he does that, there is a process of taking over and handing over. It is a short therapy to support the civil power. But today, what are we witnessing? People will go for operation and they are shot like we witnessed recently in Taraba. What the hell is going on? There is a need for an urgent national town hall meeting where the issue of security of this nation must be discussed.

There is this belief that the PDP as the country’s major opposition party is not providing the much –needed opposition to keep the APC on its toes. Do you agree with that ?

I have heard this severally everywhere I go. I want to believe that maybe it is because we are still waiting for the outcome of the Tribunal. We are still in the Court of Appeal. They just submitted their final briefs now to the court. I hope very soon they give a judgment and if we win, we know what to do as a party. But either way it goes, the case will still end up in the Supreme Court. So, let us wait until that exercise is over. I think that is one of the reasons why the PDP is not doing much in terms of criticising the government. We are so convinced that PDP won the election fair and square. Of course, politics is very dynamic and I am sure the managers of the party are also managing the other entire crises in other places. You can see some fly by night, fair weather politicians. Immediately INEC announced that we lost the election, they jumped ship to APC. If by tomorrow the court declares PDP as the winner, they jump out of APC to PDP. So we need to be careful and see those who are loyal to the cause of the party. I believe the outcome of the Tribunal is what is slowing us down because what is the essence of wasting all your salvos when you know the tenure of the present government may be temporary?

About 53 non-governmental organizations under the aegis of Coalition of Human and Civil Rights Organizations(COHCRO) are set to hold a protest calling for the release of Omoyele Sowore, an opponent of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last presidential election.

Sowore was arrested on August 3 by the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and has been in detention since then.

He was abducted by the DSS in a Gestapo style in his apartment for organizing a demonstration tagged, #RevolutionNow.

A statement by Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman on behalf of the coalition said: “Well-meaning Nigerians and lovers of genuine democracy would grace the event slated for Thursday 5th of September, 2019.

“The planned March protest would draw members from no fewer than 53 organizations across the country and beyond, including artisans, transporters, market men and women, Coalition for Revolution (CORE) and host of others.

“The protest would commence from Ikeja and end up at the Command Headquarters of the State Security Service (SSS) in Shangisha, Lagos, where protest letter would be submitted to the Head of the Command.”

Different civil society organizations have also joined in demanding the freedom of Sowore.

Forty-eight of them writing to the United Nations and the African Union to put pressure on the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to release Sowore.

Even though the local villagers are superstitious does not mean that they want children to be killed. The relationship we have established over the years with many local communities through our fieldwork has saved the lives of many of our children.
When David and Orok came to the village they found Destiny wearing only a pair of trousers with big holes. He had been abused and left alone on the street, accused of being a witch.

$9.6b judgment: President Buhari orders EFCC, NIA, IGP to probe criminal conspiracy linked to Goodluck Jonathan's administration






The Federal Government has linked the contract which led to a judgement debt of $9.6billion(N3.5trillion) to the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.  
 
President Buhari has now ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the National Intelligence Agency( NIA) and the Inspector-General of Police to probe the criminal conspiracy behind the failed contract.  
 
The government said the contractor, Pocess and Industrial Developments Ltd. (P&ID) did not execute the contract. The government made the clarifications at a joint briefing in Abuja by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed alongside the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami(SAN), the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

Quote:Mohammed said: “We have invited you here today to brief you on the recent judgement of a UK Court authorizing Process and Industrial  Developments Ltd. (P&ID) to seize 9.6 billion dollars in Nigerian assets, over a contract entered into by the company and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in 2010. We will quickly run you through the issues at stake as well as what the Nigerian government is doing to  stave off any seizure of its assets.
We do hope that by the time we conclude this briefing, the media would have been better informed on  the whole issue, hence will be better placed to inform Nigerians and clear the misrepresentations in certain circles.  
“The judgement that was delivered on Friday, 16  August 2019 is a fallout of the contract purportedly entered into in 2010 between the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and P&ID. The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad cried out over loss of his independence while speaking at the 2019 General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
 
Alleging that the Judiciary is not truly independent financially, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) promised that the arm of goverment which he heads won't lose “its firm grip on the mantle of honesty, transparency and integrity” because of it.

On Sunday, August 25, a group of 100 people including women took to the streets ofNew York City to take part in the 2019 Go Topless Pride Parade.

During the parage, several women went completely bare-chested to advocate for the right to be topless in public just like men without fear of being arrested or shamed.

The parade came on the eve of Women’s Equality Day in the U.S., which is celebrated Monday (August 26) in honor of the passing of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote.

Med-view commences inbound airlift of hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

CONTRARY to statements credited to a top National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) official that Med-view Airlines will not be involved in the inbound airlift of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, the airline on Friday has started airlifting its allocated pilgrims back into the country.

Med-view Airline commenced inbound airlifting of its allocated 5, 720 pilgrims with the return of the first batch of 547 pilgrims on its flight which arrived Kaduna International airport on Friday amidst jubilation.

The arrival of the pilgrims put paid to comments in certain quarters that Med-view Airline was not involved in the 2019 Hajj airlift.

According to the airline, another batch of 128 pilgrims are billed to arrive Kano, Yobe and Lagos today (Saturday) on Max Air Flight VM2020 in the arrangement made by the airline.

Med-view Airline is one of the three carriers contracted by NAHCON for the 2019 Hajj airlift.

NAHCON initially gave Med-View 5,720 pilgrims to airlift but later increased the number to 6,443.

The airline said the rest of the pilgrims will be airlifted according to the schedule drawn to meet the mid-September deadline for all inbound flights.

According to the report, four girls were said to be kidnapped by the suspects. But in a statement, the National Agency for the Prohibition in Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Saturday said three girls were kidnapped.

The girls are Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Ruth Love Quayson, 18, and Mantebea Koranchie,18. They were reported missing in Takoradi, a metropolitan district and capital city of Sekondi – in Ghana, between August and December 2018. The fourth girl, Ruth Abakah, 19, was reported missing since July 2018.

However, operatives of NAPTIP announced that it arrested the three Nigerians, Chika Nnodim, Samuel Udoetuk and John Oji, in connection with the case.

According to the agency, the suspects were arrested and handed over to the office of the Inspector-General of Police for further investigation, following a thorough investigation carried out at various locations in Nigeria and Ghana.

“The suspect, who is believed to be part of a cross-border criminal gang and have been under security watchlist of the government of Nigeria and Ghana, was nabbed by NAPTIP officials after a very painstaking investigation at various locations within Nigeria and Ghana.

“He and two other Nigerians, Udoetuk-Willis and Oji, were alleged to have been involved in the kidnapping of three Ghanaian girls aged between 15 and 21 years.

“The case was reported to the Agency by the Ghana High Commission in Abuja on April 2019 alleging the kidnap of their citizens from Ghana to Nigeria.”

Edo state has over 50 per cent cases of human trafficking, making it the highest affected state in the federation, State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Yinka Omorogbe, disclosed this Monday.

According to her, a total of 4,943 returnees, made up of 3,329 male, 1,400 female and 214 children were repatraitrated to the State.
She further disclosed that majority of those trafficked were from Uhumwode, Orhionmwon and Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Areas, all in Edo South Senatorial District.

Omorogbe, who is also Chairperson, Edo State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking (ETAHT), disclosed that over N300 million was spent between 2017 and 2019 to pay stipends and loans to indigenes of the State who were repatriated from Libya.

The Commissioner, who said some returnees received as much as N700,000 each, added that each of the returnee also received the sum of N60,000 from the state government as well as cash from the International Organization of Migration (IOM).
While commending the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), for adopting the state government towards fighting irregular migration, Omorogbo disclosed that the agency was currently handling 12 cases in court, buy that nobody had been convicted.

Court Urged To Declare IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Fugitive




A Federal High Court in Abuja has been asked to declare the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu a fugitive in the United Kingdom.

Apart from being declared a fugitive, the court is also asked to order his arrest and repatriation from wherever he is hiding in Great Britain back to Nigeria to stand his trial within 21 days.

The plaintiff, Mr Donald Okonkwo, joined the British High Commission in Nigerian, the Directorate of State Services and the Attorney General of the Federation as defendants in the case.

In the suit, the plaintiff, through his counsel, Abiodun Sodiq Babalola, prayed the court to determine, “Whether the 1st Defendant is not under obligation to repatriate the IPOB separatist leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, being a fugitive cum terrorist from the Great Britain where he has been hiding since September, 2017 under the cover of his citizenship status back to Nigeria so he can stand his trial for treasonable felony, amongst other sundry offences, pending against him before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja.

“Whether by a true interpretation of Sections 1, 4 and 5 of the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013, the 2nd Defendant has not abdicated his duties by failing, neglecting or omitting to arrest and extradite Kanu, from the Great Britain back to Nigeria so he can stand his trial for treasonable felony, amongst other sundry offences, considering the Bench Warrant issued on 28th March 2019 Justice Binta Nyako for the arrest of Kanu after it was determined that he flouted his bail conditions”.

The plaintiff also wants the court to determine whether the AGF, as the Chief Law Officer of the Federation is not under a statutory duty to advise the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to severe diplomatic relations with the 1st Defendant for harbouring Kanu, being a fugitive cum terrorist in the Great Britain and whether the failure of the 3rd Defendant does not amount to abdication of his duties under the of the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013.

He also asked the court to declare that the British High Commission, that is, the 1st Defendant is under obligation to repatriate Kanu, being a fugitive cum terrorist from the Great Britain where he has been hiding since September 2017 under the cover of his citizenship status back to Nigeria so he can stand his trial for treasonable felony, amongst other sundry offences, pending against him.

“An order directing the 1st defendant to tender public apology to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in three national dailies within 21 days from the date of delivery of judgment in this suit for her complicity in facilitating the escape from justice and harbouring of Kanu in the Great Britain, thereby allowing him to cause innocent Nigerian citizens serious emotional trauma through the instrumentality of incessant threat of violence, breach of peace and overthrow of the legitimate government in Nigeria”.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has outlined reasons the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, should no longer be seen as a joke.
Fani-Kayode said this against the backdrop of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Japan and the accompanying protest by the members of the IPOB, acting under the instruction of Kanu.

The former Minister of Aviation noted that recent events had shown that Kanu should no longer be taken for granted.
“He orders his men to protest in Japan and they do, ” he tweeted.
“He orders his men to protest in Nuremberg and they do.

“He orders his men to boycott elections and they do.
“He orders his men to shut down the east and they do.
“Does anyone still think @MaziNnamdiKanu is not relevant?” He added.

Enyimba FC player, Stephen Chukwude was spotted in a viral video being harassed by a policeman because he owns a Mercedes Benz. 
 
Chukwude was heard asking the police officer what else he wanted after showing him his I.D card and also opening his car's boot which all confirmed he is a footballer. However the policeman countered his statement by alleging that any youth who owns and drives a Mercedes Benz is a yahoo boy (internet fraudster). 
 
This all happened before the police officer started dragging the footballer's phone after noticing he was being filmed.

Prince Humphrey has not been heard from since yesterday, August 26, after he left his home in Gwarimpa Abuja around 5am, with the intention of travelling to Port Harcourt for his UTME exams.

MAINTAINING ORDER

Let all things be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40).

J ohn 6 records for us an amazing miracle Jesus performed. He had just finished teaching a crowd of about five thousand men (women and the children not counted). Seeing that the crowd had been with Him for long, some of the disciples requested that He sent them away, so they could get food for themselves.

However, Jesus asked, “What do you have?” Andrew answered, “There’s a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But that’s a drop in the bucket for a crowd like this” (John 6:9 MSG). Jesus ignored their doubts and, instead, told the disciples to have everyone sit on the grass and settle in for a meal.

Jesus couldn’t do anything for them in that rowdy condition; He requested for some orderliness. He said, “…Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand” (John 6:10).

In your life, learn to maintain order. The Spirit doesn’t thrive in an atmosphere of chaos. As long as there’s disorder in your spirit, you can’t walk effectively with the Holy Spirit. He’s not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33).

If you want to have a miracle, then you need order. This is the missing element in the lives of many, and they wonder why the miraculous eludes them. Never find yourself, in one way or the other, walking disorderly; that is, walking at cross purposes with the Word of God. Follow the prescribed order of things; follow the Word. Do things the Word way if you want divine results.

Consider that the Lord cautioned Moses to build the tabernacle, following the prescribed order (Hebrews 8:5). You can’t do things your own way; God’s things must be done God’s way. He won’t honour you if you’re out of order.

Maintain order, and see things move. You won’t have to struggle to get things done. As long as you’re walking in the light of God’s Word, according to His mode of operation, you’ll always have His honour and grace.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m completely yielded to your Word, and walking according to your divine instructions, in an orderly manner. I refuse to be disorderly, unruly, indisciplined or lawless; I act on your instructions swiftly without hesitation. Therefore, I experience the miraculous every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

In my job, finances, family, and everything that concerns me, I function with the light of the Word. I am conscious of the bountiful provisions the Father has made available for me,

and I am enjoying them to the full. I am fruitful and productive! As Jesus is, so am I in this world. I reign in life, exercise dominion over all the forces of nature and authority over circumstances to bring them into union with the Father’s will. The Global Coordinator of Nigerians in Diaspora under the aegis of Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria (GCSDN) Frederick Odorige has, in his daily Op-ed expressed his view on the arbitrary incaceration of Former Presidential candidate of African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore

The Retired Muhammadu Buhari that I know will not release Omoyele Sowore. He will harden his heart like Pharaoh until something happens. Left with Buhari, Sowore will be in detention as long as Buhari will be in office.

Buhari has no respect for the rule of law. He has no respect for the Nigerian constitution either. He strongly believes that he is above the law. He disrespected 5 court orders to release Sambo Dasuki. He disobeyed several court orders to release Nnamdi Kanu. He disobeyed 5 courts to release El-Zakzaky. He even disobeyed the order of the ECOWAS court. Buhari’s brain is filled with the years of military decrees. Once a soldier, always a soldier! A leopard does not change its spots. The worst attack against democracy is to vote ex-military officers as President, Governor or Legislator in Nigeria.

The only time Buhari respected court orders was when he manipulated the court to proscribe IPOB and Shiite muslims as terrorist groups. I do not upport the division of Nigeria but I strongly condemn the claim that IPOB is a terrorist group. Buhari’s mother died when he was in detention after the overthrow by Babaginda. He was not permitted to attend her burial ceremony. Therefore, anybody could be detained under Buhari against the rule of law. In his mind, he continually reasons “where was the law when IBB detained me?”

People like Ahmed Tinubu and others that Sowore exposed through his publications will further egg Buhari not to release him. That was the same way some members of the House of Representatives encouraged Buhari not to release El- Zakzaky; against court ruling.

Either of three things could happen. One, the tribunal could remove Buhari from Office and order the swearing in of Abubakar Atiku as president. Deep thinking predicts that Atiku could release Sowore to gain the support of the people.

If Buhari is removed, the military may not want to respect the order of the tribunal or court because they are loyal to Buhari. Crises!

They could form an interim government with the President of the Supreme court as interim President as it happened after the Egyptian revolution. He is Buhari’s lackey.

Two, Buhari could go the Abacha way and the mourning period could be manipulated in such a way that the Senate president could come on board while Sowore remains in detention because Osinbajo will be surreptitiously side-lined.

Three, Nigerians could react beyond words if the court extends the detention of Sowore. The reaction of Nigerians could catapult the real revolution which will be beyond Sowore. This will be greatly assisted by Nigerians in diaspora as they continue to boo and humiliate Nigerian politicians and their children abroad. The real pressure group will start from abroad because the humiliation will extend to the children of Nigerian politicians schooling abroad.

The Inspector General of Police and Shehu Garba spokesperson to Buhari had insinuated through the media, that our movement known as the Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria is a veritable platform aiding the revolution in Nigeria. This shows that the government believes that Nigerians at home have conditioned themselves to romance with hardship, unemployment and insecurity.

The international humiliation of politicians and their children abroad will reach feverish height. The names and schools attended by their children abroad are reportedly being compiled. Nigerian politicians use their children schooling abroad to launder money from Nigeria.

For Sowore to be released by the voices of the Nigerian people, something will happen that will provoke Nigerians equally. We are getting to that level. Sowore’s freedom is in our hands as superintended by God. Chains fell when Herod’s soldiers were asleep. We must switch to anger mode and remain there. In doing so, Sowore will not only be free, but many other issues hindering our national progress will be forcefully addressed.

This can only happen if we put aside our basins of fufu like Mama Revolution of Oshogbo. That fufu basin of tribalism, regionalism and religion must be cast away.

The “questioning” of Ekweremadu in Germany precipitated by IPOB has raised our consciousness and we must maintain the momentum. Hate or like them, Sowore and Kanu have carved positive niches for themselves. They brought new consciousness and surrendered themselves for political freedom based on individual belief. I strongly prefer restructuring to the disintegration of our beloved country. Respect my opinion as I respect yours. If not for greedy politicians, we are too blessed to complain.

Though our famous artistes and Nollywood actors have selfishly remained silent, this freedom is here and we must have confidence in the victory ahead. We must stay focused, determined and resolute. If not revolution, then what?

When we succeed and they read our story tomorrow, our children will not believe that we passed through these roads of thorns.

The Imo Governor's Special Assistant on New Media, Izuchukwu Akwarandu stated that those linking Odionyenma’s alleged fraud dealings to the governor were only being “mischievous.” Also insisting that the fraud case against Odionyenma is personal, Akwarandu alleged that the Imo State Governor appointed him as a member of the committee that oversaw his inauguration because he is an indigene of the state. 
 

 
He further disclosed that the former member of Governor Ihedioha's inaugural committee  who is one of the 77 suspected Nigerian fraudsters arrested by the FBI, had no fraud case against him anywhere in the world when he was appointed.

Gunmen kill police guards, abduct Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Hospital, Sylvanus Okogbeni in Edo State






Gunmen have abducted Sylvanus Okogbeni, chief medical director (CMD) of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Edo killing two policemen attached to him.  
 
The incident happened at Ramat Park, Ikpoba-Okha local government area of the state on Monday while the CMD was returning to Benin, the state capital. Chidi Nwabuzor, spokesman of the Edo police command, confirmed the killing of two officers attached to Okogbeni.  Nwabuzor confirmed the incident.
 
He said the policemen were killed by suspected gunmen who also abducted the CMD. Two other persons in the convoy, whose identities had not been ascertained, were shot dead. Nwabuzor said investigations into the incident had commenced.  
 
Emmanuel Igiechi, chairman, Senior Staff Association of University Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions of Nigeria, ISTH branch, expressed the association’s sadness over the security challenges in the area. Igiechi said the abduction was an indication that the movements of members of staff of the hospital were being monitored.

Adesina had released photos shot in Yokohama, Japan, declaring that IPOB has had nothing to do with President Muhammadu Buhari since he arrived in the East Asian Country on Monday.

He was countering earlier insinuations by the pro-Biafra group that the President is nowhere in Japan 24hrs since his departure from Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Comrade Emma Powerful, the spokesman of the group, on Monday, said: “The well prepared diet of lies from the stables of this presidency and especially Femi Adesina, has run its course. No group, no matter how vicious and cunning can run a government based on blatant falsehood.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has denied media reports that his government demolished the Trans-Amadi Central Mosque in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
 
Wike in a statement released this afternoon, said the false report was planted by mischief makers to create disaffection within the state. He warned Muslims in the state not to allow themselves be used by disgruntled politicians.
 
Addressing journalists at the location of the said mosque on Biambo Street Off, School Road by Mami Market Junction, near Rainbow Estate today Monday August 26th, Governor Wike said there was no Mosque on ground, hence nothing was demolished.
 

Quote:"I received calls from several prominent Nigerians 8on the fake news being circulated online. I have come here with Reporters and you can see there was no Mosque here. It is most unfortunate that fickle minded persons will claim that a Mosque was demolished at this place, when no Mosque existed here. The story was concocted by mischief makers to score cheap points". he said

Quote:"They came here to erect illegal structure. There was no approval from the State Government for any structure to be erected here. The persons who started the foundation had already dragged the State Government to court on the disputed land. The Rivers State Government won the case. What they attempted to do was to start the illegal construction to tie the hands of the State Government ", he said.

Quote:"The government gave them notice not to do anything on the land. But they went ahead with the illegal foundation and the relevant agency stopped them. Why would want to bring down any Mosque , when there are other Mosques across the State? What is the Special interest on this one?'' the governor asked

Six Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemates, have been selected for possible eviction this week.
DAILY POST recalls that Big brother re-paired the housemates after the Sunday live eviction show.

After the selections, the green team chose to be called, ‘The Enigma” while the red team will be called “The Legends”.
The housemates were nominated after an arena game challenge between the two groups, the Enigma and the Legends.
The two groups were told to move cotton balls to a plate using a spoon.

The group with the most cotton balls in their plate emerged winner.
After the game, the ‘Legends team’ were defeated during the challenge.
Ike, who won the veto power on Sunday was asked to save one housemate.

He, therefore, saved Omashola and replaced her with Cindy from his team.
Here are the housemates up for eviction: Frodd, Esther, SirDee, Tacha, Venita, Cindy

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate Frodd received what can be termed as the most shocking moment of his life on the show, after Esther told him she is not the perfect girl for him.

The duo was captured on video having a conversation on what might happen if they end up with each other. Frodd who seemed to be so enthusiastic about dating the lady could be seen fantasizing on how he would deal with the situation.

But in what could be considered as an unexpected turn of event, Esther told him not to worry as he would find the perfect woman for that thrilling romantic moment. He was stunned immediately that he ceased to utter a word for some few seconds.

Stop showing us photoshopped photos, Buhari is not in Japan- Nnamdi Kanu tells Presidency






Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed secessionist group, IPOB, has asked the presidency to desist from showing Nigerians ''photoshopped photos'' of President Buhari in Japan.
 
In a statement released this afternoon, Kanu who has ordered his members in Japan to disgrace President Buhari just as their counterparts in Germany did to ex-Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu on August 17th, said the man being paraded as President Buhari in Japan is a 45-year old. He called on the Presidency to stop with the ''wellcrafted lies and photoshop''. Read his statement below

We must recall the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, issued a statement a few days ago regarding this visit. In that statement he said and I quote, "President Buhari will be accompanied by governors Babagana Zulum, AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Borno, Kwara and Lagos States respectively; ministers and other top government officials."
Yesterday Femi Adesina went ahead and published photographs allegedly taken inside the presidential jet as those mentioned above sat with Jubril-Buhari on their way to Tokyo. (Please see the first picture)

More than 24 hours after the widely reported departure of Jubril-Buhari presidential jet from Abuja and without any confirmed landing at Tokyo airport or elsewhere in Japan, where IPOB had camped waiting to receive him, shockingly another set of pictures have emerged from Aso Rock claiming to be pictures of Jubril-Buhari being welcomed by a group of Japanese, this time Gov. Ortom makes a mysterious entry as part of the entourage. See second picture. Incredible! Which country on this earth welcomes a head of state with a banner? See third picture.

Gov. Ortom that wasn't mentioned as part of the original entourage has miraculously appeared in Japan seated to the left of the Foreign Minister Geofrey Onyeama. The world can now see how fraudulent politicians have been deceiving gullible Nigerians with their photoshopped pictures over the years. The public should not be deceived, Jubril-Buhari is not in Japan and if he is, he is in hiding. He should come out to address the people or make known his presence.

Note, there is no video coverage of him being welcomed to Japan as protocol demands but out of the blue pictures have emerged of a 45 year old man claiming to be Buhari, all smiling, in an undisclosed location somewhere they claim is Japan. Where is NTA News? Nigeria is a country founded on lies and will die by lies.
Aso Rock should stop hiding Jubril-Buhari, they should bravely announce or disclose where he is staying as every genuine head of state would. They should proudly tell us where their Sudanese president is hiding that we may give him proper IPOB welcome.

Reno Omokri has reacted to pictures showing the president of Africa Development Bank, AFB, Akinwunmi Adeshina, at the G7 summit with world leaders.

Some of the world leaders present at the G7 summit include Angela Merkel (Germany), Nana Akufo Addo (Ghana), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Emmanuel Macron (France), Donald Trump (US) etc.

Reacting to pictures from the summit which shows Akinwunmi Adeshina in gathering with other world leaders, Reno Omokri stated that the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari was snubbed shows that he has no value.

Biggie agreed to it, saying there are consequences to this, and before it can be approved, three of the housemates in the house also has to support him on this.

Rapid Response Squad (RSS) officers are assisting in controlling the traffic on the bridge. According to reports we were able to obtain, large portion of the road is covered with excreta.
