Doctor Accidentally Cuts Off Baby's Head Inside Mother's Womb During Birth
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 05:43 PM - No Replies

      .          Dr Vaishnavy Laxman

A consultant gynaecologist caused an unborn baby to be accidentally decapitated inside his mother's womb as she carried out a bungled delivery on an NHS maternity unit, a medical tribunal heard today.

A tribunal in Manchester heard Dr Vaishnavy Laxman, 41, should have given the 30-year old patient an emergency Caesarean section as the premature infant was in a breech position - but instead attempted to carry out the delivery naturally, it was claimed.

Tragedy struck when the doctor urged the patient to push whilst herself applying traction to the baby's legs, it was alleged. The manoevre caused the infant's legs, arms and torso to become detached leaving the head still in his mother's womb.

Two other doctors subsequently carried out a C-section on the woman to remove the infant's head. It was 're-attached' to his body so his mother could hold him before she said goodbye.

It is claimed the mother was not even in established labour at the time.

At the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester, the mother - known only as Patient A - came to face with Laxman and in a harrowing exchange across the room looked at her and said: 'I don't forgive you - I don't forgive you' as the doctor stared down at the floor.

The patient then looked away as Laxman's QC apologised on her behalf.

The hearing was told the tragedy occurred on March 16 2014 whilst Laxman was working at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with a team of other doctors.

The woman's waters had broken early at 25 weeks and upon examination her unborn baby was found to have a prolapsed cord, and was in a breech position whilst the mother's cervix was around 2-3cm dilated. It can be 10cm fully dilated.

In heart breaking evidence Patient A, who was holding two teddy bears in her arms, told the hearing it was the first time she was due to give birth and added: 'I had been for a scan the previous Friday and I was told my son was breech and the nurse told me if anything had happened to my son it was going to be a c-section.

'But when I was taken to the labour suite nobody told me what was happening. A lot of people were talking they kept saying the baby needed to come out but nobody looked at me in the eye and told me what was going to happen.

'There were two doctors between my legs, one on my right hand side holding my hand and there were other people there too. I was examined by a doctor but she didn't say anything to me. They were checking for the baby's heartbeat and it had plummeted and that's when I was told it was going to come out.

'I remember them saying I was 2-3cm dilated and I was told to push. Nobody said I was not having a c-section and doing something else instead. Whilst this was going on I was in pain.

'The only pain relief I was given was a spray on my tongue. I was told it was meant to loosen my cervix but I was not given gas and air - I was in pain. I had the doctors putting their hands inside me and I had them pushing on my stomach and then pulling me down.

'I tried to get off the bed but they pulled me back three times and just said they had to get the baby out. They twice tried to cut my cervix and nobody told me they were going to do it. There was no anaesthetic. I said to them 'it doesn't feel right, stop it, what's going on, I don't want to do it' but nobody responded to me in any way.

'Afterwards I was in a cubicle with a curtain around me and the sister came over to me and told me my son had passed away. I didn't know the details but Dr Laxman came to see me and the baby's father was there. Dr Laxman sat on the side of my bed and she said how sorry she was for what happened but I didn't know the full extent of what happened at that point.

'I just said 'it's alright, these things happen, I forgive you.' She went away but I started screaming when I found out the full extent - I was just crying. I was upset because of the severity of his injury.

'I would never use the word stillborn, he was not stillborn he was decapitated. I was pregnant, my first pregnancy I wasn't sure what was going on and I was told it was the safest place possible. Nobody explained the plan or risks associated. It was like disorganised chaos and I was scared.'

Midwife Mona Chard said: 'I was aware she had palpable tightening and some bleeding and she was moved to the labour suite. There was a lot of discussion but I'm not sure who was talking to who. I can't remember Dr Laxman having a conversation with a patient. I was trying to reassure the patient and comfort her. I remember looking round and people were shocked.

'The doctor came over to me and said Dr Laxman had decided there wasn't going to be a C section and I saw her pull the baby's feet and cord and she told the patient to push. That is something you cannot forget and Patient A was very distressed.'

The hearing was told the woman was given cocodamol before she was examined and Dr Laxman decided on a natural delivery. Lawyer for the General Medical Council Charles Garside QC said: 'They tried to coerce the birth through traction as the baby was coming feet first followed by the lower abdomen, upper abdomen and head.

'However, there was an obstruction during the birth which proved to be fatal. Dr Laxman allegedly delivered the legs, torso and arms successfully but whilst trying to deliver the head, it got stuck in the cervix.

'The attempt to manipulate the baby's head to come out of the cervix failed because the cervix has clamped onto the baby's head and despite effort made to assist, these efforts failed. Dr Laxman made three attempts to cut the cervix with scissors but Baby B's head was separated from his body and his head was stuck inside Patient A's body.

'The doctors had to arrange for the head to be removed. A Caesarean was then carried out - not by Dr Laxman who had become overcome by events - but by Dr C and Dr D, and his head was removed in that way.

'As a matter of compassion the head was reattached so the appearance of the baby was not too extreme. The baby was shown to his mother so she had the consolation of seeing him.'

Mr Garside added: 'At no stage was Patient A given any pain relief or instructed on when the c-section was being carried out. At no point did she try to comfort or consolidate or explain to Patient A what was going on.

'She failed to perform a Caesarean without general anaesthetic at a time when speed was needed. They should have carried out a category 1 Caesarean section.

'The baby had a heartbeat, it was slow, but it was not dead. The choice was taken by Dr Laxman to try a vaginal delivery and this was the wrong choice. They should never use a vaginal delivery in that situation.

'New babies are fragile, but this tiny baby was more fragile, and being pulled or twisted could do a lot more damage.'

Laxman, who faces being struck off, denies contributing to the death of the baby.

Her lawyer Gerard Boyle QC addressed the mother during the hearing and told her: 'Dr Laxman has asked me to say she is so very sorry and deeply saddened for the outcome of your baby.

'She knows that no amount of words can or will soften your pain but she is hoping that knowing that what she was trying to do was her very best to deliver your baby quickly and sufficiently and she had best intentions at heart.

'She did not intend to harm you or harm your baby and she offers her apologies in every possible way. She hopes at some point in time that will make you feel in a way, slightly better.'

The hearing continues.

A Nigerian lady on Instagram @abuse_survivor has taken to her Instagram page to reveal how she managed to prevent justice justice in her neighborhood in Uyo.

Read what she wrote below;
"So I managed to prevent jungle justice in my neighbourhood this morning.

It took a lot to prevent the lynching of fellow human beings(who are thieves by the way).

At a point, they started saying I am a relative of the thieves for not wanting them to carry out jungle justice.

I was able to prevent the lynching before the SARS came to pick them up.

Let's grow beyond the need to take law into our hands no matter the situation!"

Gambia Sells Yahya Jammeh's Cars, Planes To Pay Off Debt
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 05:12 PM - No Replies

Gambia is selling several planes and a fleet of luxury cars bought by former president Yahya Jammeh as it seeks to reduce debt contracted during the former leader’s decades-long rule.

Jammeh, who seized power in a 1994 coup, fled Gambia early last year as West African neighbours were poised for military intervention to topple him after he refused to step down following an election loss to current President Adama Barrow.

While most of his people struggled in poverty under one of West Africa’s most oppressive regimes, Jammeh acquired vast wealth.

Much of the wealth he packed into planes and carried with him into exile in Equatorial Guinea.

However, a fleet of vehicles, including several Rolls-Royces with Jammeh’s name embroidered in their red leather headrests, were left behind on the tarmac.

“The fleet of expensive vehicles at State House and the three planes bought by former president Yahya Jammeh have been put on sale,” Finance Minister Amadou Sanneh told the media.

“My ministry will soon start publicising the sales.”

The International Monetary Fund warned Gambia on Wednesday against any new borrowing after its debt stock reached 130 per cent of gross domestic product at the end of last year.

Most of that debt was contracted under Jammeh, either through borrowing or the government’s taking on the liabilities of state-owned enterprises.

“Let me be very clear … it may even go higher because we have not opened the books of the state-owned enterprises,” said Jaroslaw Wieczorek.

Since taking office and discovering government coffers were largely empty, Barrow’s administration has worked to disentangle Gambia’s state finances from Jammeh’s sprawling personal business empire.

Sanneh said last year that around 100 million dollars – more than a third of the government’s annual budget – had been siphoned from state firms.

Barrow set up a commission that visited Jammeh’s many properties to establish an inventory of his possessions with the aim of recovering looted assets.

One estate boasts a mosque, jungle warfare training camp and a vast private safari park.

Investigators have also sought to establish what wealth Jammeh may have stashed abroad.

The process has faced opposition from Jammeh’s political party and supporters, who have accused Barrow’s government of carrying out a witchhunt against the ex-president.

Bauchi Governor says state is focusing on agriculture, mining and tourism
User Avatar Forum: Business/Investment

BAUCHI State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar has said that the state is concentrating on developing Agriculture and Mining as two of its three areas of comparative advantage to galvanize economic activities in the state.
Speaking on his way to Abuja during Arik Air’s inaugural flight to Bauchi, Governor Abubakar said the state was developing tourism but was also keen on developing the other two areas to aid its teeming unemployed youth.
According to him, Bauchi was blessed with land mass that is very arable and had every mineral resources known to man under the earth in every part of the state.
He said,”Agriculture for very obvious reasons, we occupy one-fifth of the total land mass of Nigeria in Bauchi state with over 80 per cent of the state practicing one form of agriculture or the other. ”
“We have too much cultivatable land that is lying fallow so for our enlightened self-interest in addition to all this we have a teeming population which we use to gainfully employ them.”
“Second there is no mineral known to man that does not exist in one part of the state or the other. So we are trying to develop that and we are doing it in a scientific manner . A manner that has not been done before,” he explained.

Oshiomhole: Why Buhari Is Still Better Than His Predecessors
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 01:25 PM - No Replies

Quote:PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is still better his predecessors, former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has said.

Mr Oshiomhole stated this when he officially made his aspiration to become the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), known in Abuja on Thursday.

He is expected to be the main challenger to the incumbent chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, if the latter decides to seek re-election.

Both men are from Edo State and are former governors of the state.

A meeting by APC state chairpersons and leaders in the South-south ended in acrimony due to the ambition of both men.

Mr Oshiomhole, however, enjoys the support of President Muhammadu Buhari. He is also believed to enjoy the support of a leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu; thus putting him in good stead to emerge the national chairman.

The former labour leader opined that President Buhari is not a ‘thief’ and this alone makes him much better than his predecessors.

“I want to assure Nigerians that I believe with a new leadership of the APC and with our president, whom I believe is ever determined, no matter what anybody wants to say, there will be time to engage in all of those contestations as we approach 2019 electioneering campaign and those who wish to contest on various party platforms come to the open, we will know the players, we will know their coach, we will be able to engage.

“Until then, so that I don’t change headlines, there is only one thing I want to say here and now, that the worst critic of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, will agree that the president is not a thief. President Buhari is not a thief. That, for me, is the starting point and we will challenge others,” said Oshiomhole.

Earlier, he said the reason for his intention is to reposition, re-organise and make the All Progressives Congress (APC) a “digital party.”

“I believe that with the zeal to work with the executive and legislative arms of government, we will engender renewed public confidence and support for our party and government at all levels,” he said.

Oshiomhole assured that the principle of separation of powers will be upheld under his watch as chairman but warned that he will not be a toy, at the disposal of anybody, and stressed that there will no longer be graveyard silence on issues concerning the party.

“As I present myself for the position of the national chairman of our great party, it is pertinent to reflect on what constitutes the APC. The APC is a progressive party which represents the collective will of all the members of the party in all the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“It is my hope that if, and when elected as national chairman of the party, we will reposition and re-organise the party based on its philosophy of social democracy, which basically means people-oriented, membership driven and mass-based political organisation. To be able to translate these into concrete action that is visible and verifiable.

“Under our leadership, we will naturally have to do a couple of things differently, in the day to day management of the party, while interfacing with all those elected on the platform of the party at all levels.”

NJC Sacks Judge, Investigates 7 Others

Quote:By Tunde Oyesina 

The National Judicial Council, NJC, has said that it is currently investigating seven judges from across the country. That was as the apex judicial body yesterday sacked Justice Michael Goji of the High Court of Adamawa State for refusing to proceed on transfer to the Mubi Judicial Division of the State High Court since July 2017.

The council, under the Chairmanship of the Justice Walter Samuel Onnoghen had, at its 86th meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday and Wednesday, recommended the compulsory retirement of Justice Goji to Governor Bindo Umaru Jibrilla of Adamawa State.

The decision of the council was sequel to the advice of the State Judicial Service Commission to Council after its findings on the allegations of misconduct levelled against him. According to a release by the spokesperson of the council, Soji Oye, the Adamawa State Judicial State Commission had conducted an investigation on the conduct of Justice Goji, following the directive of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, after receiving the complaint of his misconduct from the Adamawa State Chief Judge.

Aside from the recommendation for compulsory retirement, Council also directed that he should refund all salaries received by him from July, 2017 till date, failing which the Adamawa State Government is to deduct the amount from any entitlement due to him and remit same to the National Judicial Council, which pays salaries of all Judicial Officers in the Federation.

In the interim, the Council, in exercise of its disciplinary powers under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, has suspended Justice Goji from office pending his removal from office.

Oye further disclosed that the council considered the reports of various Investigation Committees and dismissed petitions written against Justice Paul Adamu Galinje of the Supreme Court, Jusf tice Aminu Sabo Ringim, Chief Judge, Jigawa State, and Justice Peter Umeadi, Chief Judge, Enugu State.

According to him:
“The petition against Justice Paul Adamu Galinje of the Supreme Court was dismissed sequel to its withdrawal by Hon. Yaro Abarshi and Hon. John Yobi Yarafa and others, who alleged that he interfered in a chieftaincy matter in Taraba State.

“The petition against Justice Aminu Sabo Ringim was also dismissed because the Petitioner, Dr Jamil Gwamna, who wrote to Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, Minister of Power and Works, who in turn forwarded same to the National Judicial Council, withdrew the petition.

“The allegation was that the Judge ordered the arrest, assault, and detention of staff of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) when they disconnected the electricity at the State High Court and the Judge’s house for non-payment of bills.

“The Committee that investigated the matter found that the Petitioner could not show or prove that Hon. Mr. Justice Ringim instructed or directed the arrest of KEDCO’s staff. “Council did not find any reason to further investigate Justices Paul Galinje and Aminu Ringim after the withdrawals”.

Oye added that petitions written against 25 Judicial Officers and others by EFCC were also considered by Council after which it resolved to empanel seven committees to look into the allegations. “Petitions against various Judges were dismissed Jusfor lack of establishment of misconduct, being subjudice or that such petitions were matters for appeal.

The dismissed petitions were against Justices A. I. Chikere and J. T Tsoho, Emeka Nwite and Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Justice Adetokunbo Banjoko of FCT High Court, Justice Taminu Zailani, Chief Judge, Kaduna, Justice M. A. Adeigbe, High Court, Osun State (who had already retired from the Bench), and Justice E. N. Ogbuiji, High Court, Rivers State.”

Quote:Malaysia's Mahathir Mohamad is now the world's oldest leader

Kuala Lumpur (CNN) — Veteran Malaysian politician Mahathir Mohamad has become the world's oldest leader after a shock victory in the country's election, upending six decades of control by the ruling coalition.

The 92-year-old was sworn in on Thursday night by Malaysia's constitutional ruler, King Muhammad V, following a momentous vote in which scandal-plagued incumbent Najib Razak was soundly beaten at the polls by his former mentor.

It's a triumphant return to front-line Malaysian politics for Prime Minister Mahathir, who also ruled the country from 1981 until 2003.

Quote:Movement was restricted in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state on the 8th of May 2018 with shops and vehicular movement at a minimum due to the traditional Oro festival.

This has drawn the ire of many who feel that their will is being imposed on. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) also believes that the Oro priests should be arrested for restricting the movement of people.

According to a statement signed by the Director of the group, Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Oro festival could become a problem if it’s fixed on a Sunday or Friday as these are the holy days of Christians and Muslims and could potentially lead to violence.

The Statement reads in full

Social and economic activities were paralysed in Ikorodu town, Lagos State, on Tuesday 8th May, 2018 as Oro worshippers unilaterally imposed curfew on the town to celebrate Oro Festival. This was in spite of the assurance given by the police and the traditional institution on free movement. Banks and shops were shut down and there were no vehicular and human movements in many parts of the town. All motor parks in the neighbourhood remained deserted.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) observes that the unilateral declaration of curfew by Oro priests is illegal, illegitimate and unconstitutional. It is, therefore, ultra vires.

Chapter 4 Section 41 of the 2011 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria says, “Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom.” Only the the state government on the advise of the state commissioner of police can impose curfew on a town. Even then, such imposition must be based on adverse security report.

Historically, curfews declared by the priests used to be for the night but due to the pervading general lawlessness in the society, Oro priests have started imposing curfews during the day. This shows that Oro priests are becoming daring and this is instructive. It should not be allowed to continue. Apart from this traditionalists have become more combative and security operatives need to more vigilant.

We all agree that there is freedom of worship so long as no worshipper encroaches on the right of others in any way. But Oro priests are stretching their freedom of worship beyond its limit as their curfews infringe on the citizens’ right of movement.

Masqueraders have attacked churches in many parts of the South East. A mosque was vandalized while worshippers were severely injured by masquerades in Ekiti State. Several skirmishes have also been recorded in other parts of the South between traditional worshippers and Christians or between the former and Muslims.

The negative impacts of the imposition of curfew on any city are too dire to trivialize with. A nation’s economy is run by the movement of homo sapiens and goods. Consequently, billions of naira are lost on every single day a curfew is imposed. Lives are also lost as those seriously sick may find it difficult and sometimes impossible to reach hospitals. All forms of learning and research are also suspended.

Nobody can guaranty the safety of any woman who unknowingly drives in or just enters the town during the Oro festival. Market women cannot buy or sell. Married women cannot leave their residences to purchase vital items for the family. This is likely to breed hunger. Most importantly, the lives of women who are seriously ill or in labour and their unborn infants are imperiled. Even students who are to write examinations have to withdraw, relocate or sleep in unhealthy and unsafe school environments. What kind of people are we? How can we expose our young ones to such dangers in the name of tradition?

The imposition of curfews by Oro priests is therefore archaic, retrogressive, counter-productive, inhuman and barbaric. Also by forbidding women from moving around, Oro priests exhibit exclusive treatment of the female gender. This is discriminatory and misogynic.

MURIC had to intervene about seven years ago when Oro priests manifested their impunity once again by imposing curfew on Ikorodu on a Saturday when students were to take English language in their West African School Certificate Examination (WAEC). The publicity of our press statement on the illegal curfew about two days before the examination on radio and television forced the Oro priests to abort their primordial, parochial and pernicious agenda.

We warn that the imposition of curfews by Oro priests is a disaster waiting to happen. What if it happens on a Sunday? How would Christians attend church? A religious clash may occur. It may spread like wild fire. Church goers have been known to attack shrines in the South East. Or if it occurs on a Friday? How can we guarranty peace in such a situation? Tension has been known to have risen on occasions when the Oro priets imposed curfew during Ramadan. Must we sacrifice lives before we secure our liberty?

This is where the law enforcement agents have to come handy. Yet police complicity cannot be ruled out in the Ikorodu episode. For instance, the Lagos Police Command assured Ikorodu residents of safety and asked them to go about their legitimate businesses. But did that stop the Oro priests?

The curfew (isemo) which was imposed still remained effective. Nobody moved about except the Oro priests and their faithful. Dressed like warriors, the Oro worshippers went around with canes, knives, cutlasses and other weapons. They smoked weed publicly and vandalized markets. Yet no single policeman was in sight. This means that the police statement was ineffective. That curfew was an affront on the police. It is unacceptable.

It is not enough for the police to give assurance of safety. That is mere window-dressing. Police must do more. The police must be able to get a commitment from Oro priests. Police can reach the priests though the traditional ruler who knows them all. They must be made to recant. The problem with Nigeria is not an acute shortage of laws. We have enough laws in place but they are not being enforced. The law must be allowed to work. Our police seem to lack the will to invoke the provisions of the law. Illegal curfews will continue to pervade Southern Nigeria until the police are ready to uphold the rule of law.

Before we round up, there is an urgent need to contribute to the ongoing debate on the demand of Oro worshippers for a day to be declared as a public holiday. MURIC supports this idea on the basis of equal rights and tolerance. Afterall Christians and Muslims have their own public holidays. Traditionalists can have their own holiday but that should not be a licence for imposing any curfew on that particular day. Also, that single day must be synergised with other traditional groups like Sango and Ogun worshippers. Such holiday may also be limited to the South. This will be the responsibility of state governments in the South-West, South-East and South-South.

To cap the edifice, the state governments in Southern Nigeria should address this issue before it is too late. Lawmakers in the various state Houses of Assembly should also do the needful. In particular, the Lagos State House of Assembly must raise the Ikorodu saga on the floor of the House now that it is still fresh. Afterall they are also witnesses to the spectacular mess. We call on law enforcement agents to arrest and prosecute those behind the illegal imposition of curfew in Ikorodu on Tuesday. This should be done in earnest to serve as deterrent to others.

Saraki’s Senate Worst In Nigeria’s History – Sagay
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 10:52 AM - No Replies

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), said on Thursday he could not wait for the current Senate, which he described as the worst since 1999, to go next year.

He faulted the lawmakers’ insistence on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris’s personal appearance before them.

According to Sagay, such move smacked of personal vendetta against the IGP.

The PACAC chief, who said he was not a fan of the current Senate, accused the red chamber of abdicating its responsibilities by its refusal to pass the 2018 budget almost halfway into the year.

He told the Nation Newspaper: “You know I have never been impressed by this Senate. It’s probably the worst we have ever had since the return to civilian rule. They are more concerned about exercising vain authority and power than in actually doing anything substantive for the country.

“These are people – the whole Senate – who would adjourn sitting and go to the Code of Conduct Tribunal in solidarity with their President. For everyday they go, the work of legislation is suspended. And they owe a duty to this country to make the laws for the order, peace and good government of Nigeria.

“Each time they abandon their legislative duties, they’re in fact committing a breach of their obligation, apart from the fact that doing that sort of thing is infantile.

“As if that was not enough, the whole Senate packed themselves again to visit Dino Melaye in the hospital. How rational is that? Why can’t they send a delegation of two or three people who would report back? So, it’s like a showoff of power and intimidation. I don’t think it’s really worthy of them to behave like that.”

Cornell University Student Strips In Class To Defend Her Presentation In NewYork

[Image: Student%2Bstrips%2Boff%2Bin%2Bclass%2Bto...eaking.jpg]

Quote:A university student took off her clothes in class for her presentation, after her professor said her clothes were "too short" for public speaking.

Letitia Chai, 18, livestreamed her strip protest on Facebook. She said she wanted to stand up "against oppressive beliefs and discrimination" and that is why she stripped down in front of her class at Cornell University in New York on Saturday.

According to reports, Letitia clashed with professor Maggor on Wednesday as she prepared to present a draft of her thesis on rehabilitation for displaced people and refugees. The student, who was wearing a long-sleeve blue button-down shirt and denim cut-off shorts in class on Wednesday, claimed the "first thing" her professor said to her was "is that really what you want to wear?"

Stunned Letitia also claimed professor Maggor told her that her shorts were "too short" and that as a speaker she was making a "statement" through the clothes she was wearing.

In a Facebook post, which is no longer available, Letitia wrote:
The first thing that the professor said to me was 'is that really what you would wear?'
She, a white woman, continued: 'Your shorts are too short'.

The professor proceeded to tell me, in front of my whole class, that I was inviting the male gaze away from the content of my presentation and onto my body.

She said I was making a statement by wearing my outfit. I told her that I sure as hell wouldn't change my statement to make her or anyone else feel more comfortable.

According to Letitia, the professor later asked her what her mother would think of her clothes after she left the room.

The university's student newspaper, The Cornell Daily Sun, reported that 28 out of 44 people in the room to watch Letitia's presentation removed their clothes as well in a show of support. Letitia said she was "floored" by support after she called for solidarity following a row with her professor.
However, most of the students who witnessed the clash defended professor Rebekah Maggor and accused Letitia of inaccurately reflecting the reason why her choice of clothing was questioned. Out of 14 students, 11 said Letitia's comments did not accurately reflect events in the classroom.

The students issued a joint statement in which they said professor Maggor's comment had "error in phrasing" but the thrust of her point was to note the "importance of professionalism in certain public speaking situations."

The professor told the Cornell University student newspaper that she doesn't tell her students what to wear or determines "appropriate dress".
An email to The Cornell Sun from professor Maggor reads: "I do not tell my students what to wear, nor do I define for them what constitutes appropriate dress.

"I ask them to reflect for themselves and make their own decisions."

"El-Rufai Needs Psychiatric Test" – Shehu Sani Writes Hospital

Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district has called for clinical examination of the mental state of Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

In a letter dated 7th May, which was addressed to the Chief Medical Director of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Kaduna, the lawmaker wondered how a governor, who is the Chief Security officer of the state could ask the people to go on riot for political reasons.

He said El-Rufai’s speech should be analysed. He expressed fears that something must have gone wrong with the governor.

Part of the letter which was made available to reads: “As a citizen and a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I am concerned that such inciting expletives and profanity could be uttered by a public servant who is also the security officer of a state.

“The open call to violence, disorder and inflammatory predisposition of a man who occupies such an exalted office is. in my humble opinion symptomatic of a paranoid personality disorder.”

“It is in the safe interest of the state and the nation, that the mental state of the governor be clinically and professionally verified”, the letter insisted.

Sani said El-Rufai was notorious for inciting groups against another in order to perpetuate evil agenda, adding that the psychiatric test should be treated with urgency.

He further stated that the outcome of the result would assist him to move a motion in the Senate that public officers and their appointees should be undergoing psychiatric and drug related tests from time to time.

Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai had in his speech at a commissioning ceremony in Kaduna last week rained curses on three Senators from the State for rejecting the World Bank loan of $350 million he applied.

The governor described them as enemies of the state, saying, they should be stoned wherever they are seen, adding that none of them should be allowed to return to office in 2019.

The letter was copied to the Nigeria Medical Association and the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria.

Okorocha: "APC Playing PDP Politics, APC Has Derailed"
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 10:48 AM - No Replies

Quote:mo State governor and chairman of the All Progressives Congress Governor’s Forum, Rochas Okorocha, has said his party has derailed and now practises “Peoples Democratic Party kind of politics.”

Mr Okorocha, stated this on Thursday in Abuja at the declaration of Adams Oshiomole, former governor of Edo State, to run for office of national chairman of the party.

Mr Okoracha, who was at the event to show his support for the governor and endorse his bid, said he believes in Mr Oshiomhole’s capacity to address some issues in the party.

“Another thing I think Oshiomole will address is that our party has begun to play the same kind of politics like PDP. All of a sudden we have started derailing and playing the PDP kind of politics. This started by some of those people who found themselves in political office especially appointment, who did not win their booths and wards.

He said Mr Oshiomhole should also address the weakness of the party in the South-South and South-East. He said he believed Mr Oshiomhole can help strengthen it in those parts of the country.

He called on the aspirant to ensure he roots out “urban masquerades” from the APC and also bring to an end the principle of “monkey dey work, baboon dey chop”.

“Today, our party is going through some challenges and I must commend those who helped fight for this party even before this time, they have done well but the fight ahead, the challenges ahead are greater and we need great men like Adams Oshiomohle to do this job. For me particularly, Adams will strengthen APC in South-south and South-east.

Emphasising why the party needed to be strengthened in those regions, Mr Okorocha noted he is the only governor in the South-east and the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, the only governor in the South-South under the APC.

“Suffice to say that as I speak to you today, I am the only governor from the entire South-east who is APC just like my brother, Obaseki is the only governor from the South-South from the APC. What this goes to say is that APC has challenges in the South-South and South-East for reasons not too far-fetched. For some myopic considerations and assessment, this party is not strong in those parts of Nigeria.

“For those our governors in the north, they won the election so easy, for as long as the name Buhari stands in the north. But its not the same thing talking about President Muhammadu Buhari’s name in the South-South or South-West.

So if you see any governor emerge in the South-South or South-East, it is not with an ordinary strength, and I believe that Oshiomole coming in will strengthen this party in that part.

“Adams, your first assignment when you become the national chairman of the party is to ensure and channel that principle of ‘monkey de work, bamboon de chop.

Because some of these people who are seated here before you, won their booths, delivered their wards but those who didn’t win their booths or deliver their wards are holding big jobs in the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“In this new dispensation, no more monkey dey work, bamboo dey chop. If you work, you chop, you don’t work, you don’t chop.
“We have a lot of urban masqueraders in APC now and you, must force them out.

And I know Adams Oshiomole is a no nonsense man, he will stand forthright, he will face them both in debate, action, physical, mental, moral, spiritual; he can face the opposition. But I don’t know about the spiritual aspect.”

"Don't Accept PDP's Apologies" - Obasanjo Tells Nigerians
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-11-2018, 10:46 AM - No Replies

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari, and his All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled government have been taking “Nigerians for fools.”

Obasanjo who lamented that the fortunes of most Nigerians have taken a turn for the worse in the last three years despite claims to the contrary by Buhari and APC, called for concerted efforts from people to send them packing in 2019.

The ex – President who made this known while briefing reporters at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, also announced that his Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) has adopted the African Democratic Congress(ADC) as a political platform to achieve the dream of changing the current state of governance at all levels in the country come 2019.

He also warned people not accept the call for forgiveness by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for taking Nigerians for a ride, saying while the party had sought forgiveness, it did not deemed it fit to discipline members who used eight years to bring woes upon the country through poor governance.

Morning Devotional For Friday 11th May

Rhapsody of Realities.

Access to divine wisdom.

Friday, May 11th .

Pastor Chris

_*But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).*_

In Ephesians chapter one, the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, prayed thus for the church at Ephesus: _*“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”*_ (Ephesians 1:17).

Notice the focus of the prayer: that God would grant them “the spirit of wisdom and revelation.” Walking in divine wisdom is so important in the life of a Christian. If you have access to God’s Word, you have access to divine wisdom, for the Word of God is the wisdom of God.

It doesn’t matter what you may have experienced in life; it doesn’t matter who your advisers are; it doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read or what you’ve seen in life; if you don’t have the Word in you, you’re bereft of the wisdom of God. And for you to be a true success in life, you need wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7); in other words, it’s the real deal; it’s what you need.

The wisdom of men may take you some distance; only the wisdom of God will take you all the way, and make you an all-round success. The Bible says Christ has been made unto you wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30); therefore, you don’t lack wisdom. Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, lives in you; so you have access and insight into mysteries and secrets.

You’re super-intelligent, sagacious and highly perceptive. Acknowledge this about you, and walk in this light. The Bible says, _*“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus”*_ (Philemon 1:6). Christ is your wisdom. Affirm it! Declare that you don’t make bad decisions, because the Spirit of wisdom is at work in you.

As you go about your endeavours today, have the consciousness that Christ has been made unto you wisdom; therefore, your choices, actions and words are in sync with God’s plan and purpose for your life.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for making me an embodiment of wisdom, in Christ. Christ is my wisdom; therefore, I’m wise; wisdom is seen in my actions and heard in my words today. I have insight into mysteries; I dissolve doubts and unravel hard sentences. Hallelujah!*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Corinthians 1:30-31* But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. *||*

*||* *Ephesians 1:17-19* That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, *||*

*||* *Ephesians 3:10-12* To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. *||*

Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse Prophecy About 2019 Election In Nigeria, South Africa
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 10:37 PM - No Replies

Read the press statement below;

South African Based Nigerian Prophet, Samuel Akinbodunse has dropped a shocking prophecy about Nigeria and 2019 election once again. The Freedom for all Nation Outreach General Overseer made it known that Nigeria will experience another sect of insurgence worse than Fulani Herdsmen in a Live service at his South Africa church.

He revealed that God showed him in a vision, a house heavily guarded by security agents, but peeping into it spiritually, he saw the house loaded with Ammunitions in preparation for 2019 elections.

Furthermore, he made it known that there will be serious war between Christians and Muslims in 2019.

Meanwhile, he stated that the Chosen President by God will be a young person and that God made Buhari the President because he wanted Nigerians to Learn.

Furthermore, he also warned South Africa security operatives to be extra vigilant as he sees violence and riots across the country.

The man who accurately predicted Zuma's exit and Mugabe's disgrace from the seat of power claimed South Africa should forget about peace for now till after 2019.

He revealed that the identity of the sponsor of these series of violence would be revealed by the election period.

" The police and soldiers should get ready. There would be more riot across the country till 2019 election. South Africa should forget about peace for now until after the election. What is happening is being sponsored by a man in secret and his identity would be revealed after the election.

I saw more road blocks and owners of shops should get unbreakable padlocks to secure their shops and protect their wares. I see security operatives across the country trying to quench the riot across the country.

It would be recalled that months back, he revealed that if President Buhari tries to contest for presidency in 2019, he will die.

Buhari Under Pressure To Reveal His Illness-- CNN

Yesterday Nigeria was mocked by New York Times, today CNN are doing the same. We have become the laughing stock of the world

Quote:Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari is under pressure to disclose the state of his health after he embarked on a fourth medical trip to London.

Nigeria's opposition party, People's Democractic Party (PDP), said it was time for the president to reveal his medical condition.

PDP spokesman Kola Ologbodiyan said: "We need full disclosure about the president's health. He needs to be honest with Nigerians to say he his unwell. He can't travel for an official meeting to the US and sneak into London to see his doctor, then tell Nigerians it was a technical stopover due to flight issues."

Buhari,75, announced Monday he will travel to the United Kingdom to see his doctor, reigniting speculation about the state of his health and ability to rule Africa's biggest economy.

The president also saw his doctor last week in London on his way back from Washington where he had met with the US President Donald Trump at the White House, his aide said.

Nigerians on social media have also joined in the call for Buhari to make his health records public. These calls have grown louder since he announced plans to seek re-election next year.

  Court Declares Omo-Agege's Suspension Illegal

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege

A Federal High Court in Abuja has declared the suspension of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for 90 days illegal.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba who precised over the case ordered an immediate re-instatement of the Senator to his position in the National assembly.

The judge, in a judgment delivered on Thursday, held that though the legislature has the power to deal with erring members, it did not follow due process in arriving at its decision.

Justice Dimgba nullified the suspension after stating that the reason given for the suspension of Omo-Agege by the Ethics and Privileges Committee was a fundamental breach of the Constitution.

He ordered the Senate to pay Omo-Agege all his salaries and allowances.

My Wife Sent Her Nude Photos To Zenith Bank Manager In Delta - Man Cries Out

Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 10:27 PM - No Replies

A man identified as Mr. Arhamerene has been forced to narrate the ordeal of his broken marriage through social media after accusing his wife (now his ex) of having an affair with a colleague who is the operational manager of Zenith Bank at the Delta state university, Abraka. The heartbroken man shared his story with journalist Sapele Oghenek with the permission to post online.

According to the man, he legally married his wife when he was in second semester 100 level at Delta State University. Then, the wife just graduated and was about to go for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

They got married on the 16th of November 2016 in Warri, according to Jehovah witness laws and accordance in marriage.

He said he was working as a staff for Fidelity Bank with his Diploma in Computer Science, before he resigned and decided to further his education.

According to him, because he was a student struggling with schooling and family together, he decided to look for job for his wife in Zenith Bank, because he knows the Manager of Zenith Bank Abraka branch. He submitted her CV and she was called for interview in Lagos State. He said he spent close to N80,000 during two weeks she left for the exams and interview. She later got the job and was posted Zenith Bank Delta State University Abraka because of her marital status.

He said his wife's character changed suddenly towards him in all ramifications not knowing that his wife was dating the operational manager of the bank, one Mr. Kingsley Okudide whom she allegedly sent her nude pictures to.

This was said to have led to a quarrel which made him beat her up in the process. The wife called her father, a welder identified as Robert Alerubo who stormed his house with some Warri boys and dealt with him as he took away his daughter and her son [his grandson] for six months now.

He said just recently the ex-wife posted on her Facebook wall, that " he is the looser than she as gotten a job and a son she has nothing to lose."

He said he approached the Zenith bank manager to see reasons with him, but he called his father in-law who got him arrested and was detained at Abraka Police Division for two days.

He disclosed that Mr Kingsley Okudide, the head of operations is the cause of his failed marriage and transferred his ex-wife to Warri branch when he noticed people were visiting him in the office over the issue.

He said the news of his failed marriage is everywhere in Abraka community because he is a very popular student among staff of the university.

On IGP Idris: Is Buhari Truly A Weakling?
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion

By Musa Ahhmed

When the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris ignored Senate's invitation the first time and sent his deputy, many thought he was busy with security issues. When he ignored the second time and went to Kaduna state, it was becoming clear that his action was a snub, then the third time, it dawned on all that it is a clear snub and a total disregard for the institution of the Senate.

The IGP, for the third time, ignored Senate's invitation asking him to appear before its plenary to explain the killings across Nigeria and circumstances surrounding the arrest of Senator Dino Melaye.

The action of the IGP is the latest in the series of unbecoming cases of neglect and disrespect for the constitution and Democratic institution by top appointees of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It would be recalled that the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, have at different times snubbed the Senate's invitation, promting public outrage and subjection of the Senate to ridicule. A total disregard for section 88 of the constitution which confers on the National Assembly, the power to summon a public official.

The deafening silence of President Buhari and his refusal to wade into this consistent abuse of democracy by his appointees sends a very big signal that they are doing it with maximum support from the President. What more could have led to such disregard if not a Presidential back up?

The IGP's action didn't come as a surprise, it only calls for serious concern which should worry anybody who mean well for the Nigerian democracy. Before serving the Senate a piece of his unruly attitude, Idris, in January, ignored Buhari's order to relocate to Benue State following the deadly attacks on villagers, instead, he was in the state for barely 3 days before heading for somewhere else. It was after over a month that Buhari expressed shock that the IGP flouted his order. Again, nothing was done, no action was taken by Buhari.

When the Presidency in a statement said Idris was summoned and queried by the President. Instead of burying his head in shame for his unruly act, Idris in his usual arrogant and bragadoccio toga, debunked the claim and said he was never summoned, challenging officials to show evidence. For how long will the president continue to harbour such arrogance and flagrant disregard for Presidential orders and other arms of government? Probably there's more to the IGP's act than meets the eye.

The act of the IGP and other appointees, must not be allowed to continue, as it is already setting a bad precedence for democracy, one that may take another decade to clean up and correct.

Buhari's inaction in the face of all these is a sign of weakness and support for the IGP. But one must do well to remind Buhari and his handlers that even if Idris is doing their bidding with his acts of continuous snub of the Senate in total disregard for the rule of law, one day it will get out of hands and may lead to a case of bush meat hunting the hunter.

We have not forgotten how the APC, before the 2015 elections, enjoyed the peddling of falsehoods on the social media because it was in its favour, it feasted on it and rode to power. Since it came to power, the APC-led government have been finding it very hard to quench the fire of falsehood in the country, despite dubbing it hate speech. It nursed the baby of falsehood and now it has grown into an uncontrollable adult, that is the same path the IGP and other Presidential appointees are threading if their act is not quickly nipped in the bud.

Now that the Senate has exhausted all its options on the IGP, and only the President has the power to wade in, it's now left to Buhari to prove doubters wrong that he is not in support of the IGP's action which the Senate as described as enmity to democracy.

The IGP latest action is a litmus test for the President and an avenue for the President to prove to Nigerians that he's not a weakling and a paper tiger who doesn't have any authority on his appointees. We are watching the president to prove us wrong. Until he takes serious action, Buhari remains a weakling and a President without power to exercise authority over his appointees.

2019: Obj’s CNM Collapses Into ADC

Says mission to rescue Nigeria total

By Chris Ochayi 10-05-2018

The leadership of a political pressure group founded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Coalition for Nigerian Movement, CNM, Thursday, announced its fusion into African Democratic Congress, ADC.

This is with a view to forming a formidable force to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC in 2019 poll.

It was resolved that with the understanding of like minded persons and organizations across the country, Nigeria will be rescued, and that the elections of 2018 and 2019 will be used to cure the curse and afflictions of failed leadership and perpetual underdevelopment.

A Co-Convener of CNM, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who made the pronouncement at a world press conference in Abuja, said with this development, the Coalition for Nigerian Movement, CNM, has ceased to exist, having formally collapsed into the political party.

He said, the decision to move in to African Democratic Congress therefore, is an appreciation of the progressive essence of the party and its untainted existence on the terrain of our nation’s politics. The former military administrator of Lagos state, who regretted the worsening state of things in the country, added, “We have said it before and we are stating it here again that the current state of despair and despondency in our dear country is an ill wind. “It is foreboding and can only lead to a conflagration.

Between January when CNM was formed and now, can we say that the story of Nigeria has changed for the better? Have things not worsened at all levels? According to him, “I thank all of you for being here today. You will all recall that in January this year, the Coalition for Nigeria Movement, CNM, was formed by some of us across the country as a political platform to create a new generation of leaders for our country. “Between that time and today, a lot of grounds has been covered in achieving the set goals. One of such is what we are doing here today – the formal fusing of – our movement into the African Democratic Congress.

“Beyond what we are doing here today, we put our countrymen and women, old and young, on notice that they should expect more from us; that they should expect deepened political engagements across platforms in the coming days and weeks. In other words, this is just the first in a multi layered action plan to give back the country to its much deprived people.

“As we stated in January during the launch of the CNM, we are taking on this task not minding the inconveniences and other expected and unexpected consequences of our efforts at reinventing the country. “We admit that structural inadequacies and failure of leadership have robbed our country of greatness. We also note that a future of greatness for Nigeria will only be birthed by a new generation of youthful leaders with fresh ideas and knowledge of what it takes to govern a 21 st century nation.

“This gathering here today is a proof that the modest efforts at waking up the vast majority of our people to for once, take their destiny in their hands as demanded by the constitution are bearing fruits already. Our constitution guarantees all Nigerians their fundamental human rights, including freedom of association and the right to hold political views.

“The decision to move in to African Democratic Congress therefore, is an appreciation of the progressive essence of the party and its untainted existence on the terrain of our nation’s politics. “While I on behalf of the leadership and the over three million members of the CNM congratulate ADC as the vehicle for national reinvention, I urge us to let us know that the task ahead is an arduous one that needs further strengthening of the forces of change. What I am saying is that we should be open to new engagements and alliances being forged and crystallizing across the country.”

Oyinlola, who was also a former Osun state Governor stressed further that, “We should remain committed to the use of the tools of democracy to recreate a ·Nigeria that will truly serve all, irrespective of religion, tribe or socio ‘economic status. “We have said it before and we are stating it here again that the current state of despair and despondency in our dear country is an ill wind.

“ It is foreboding and can only lead to a conflagration. Between January ‘when CNM was formed and now, can we say that the story of Nigeria has changed for the better? Have things not worsened at all levels? “Indeed, every one of us who has been in power before at whatever level may have a share of the blame for the state of the nation. That fact, however, will not disqualify us from being part of, and indeed, stand at the vanguard of finding a lasting solution to this problem.

“Indeed, those who have seen it all but with the right perspective are better placed to bring in knowledgeable young men and women to come and reinvent the country for the challenges of the future. “ADC and other like- minded political parties should join other patriots in democratically building and enthroning a new set of youthful, knowledgeable and goal- oriented leadership for this country. We believe, therefore, that through right engagements and fundamental reordering of the affairs of our nation, our country will be out of the woods.

Nigerians are a very resilient people. They are great optimists. “They have invested so much trust and hope in our democratic infrastructure with very miserable returns, so far. As I stated during the launch of the CNM our country must not continue to be condemned to a four yearly ritual of voting without results.

“To get positive results, therefore, we must get right the choice of leadership. But the apple does not fall far from its tree. Only credible, positive platforms can produce positive results. A tree conceived and nurtured in lies can only bear imaginary fruits.

Every government has ideas and programmes – most times packaged in flowery prose. “The deficit in leadership is noticed at the point of implementation of the ideas and policies. ADC from its well enunciated policies and Programmes is well placed to make democracy work for the people. “ADC is properly placed to join other patriots in moving Nigerians in all the wards, the 774 local governments and the 36 states to join hands to make our country truly great. Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, we have a job to do.

“The destiny of Nigeria is not to remain forever in crisis and in the doldrums. As the CNM takes this momentous step of coalescing into ADC as a vital step in building a national consensus to reconstruct the country, we assure all Nigerians with there support. “And the understanding of like minded persons and organizations across the country, Nigeria will be rescued.

God willing the elections of 2018 and 2019 will be used to cure the curse and afflictions of failed leadership and perpetual underdevelopment.” In his remarks, the founding National Chairman of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Chief Ralphs Nwosu described the fusion as the dawn of great Nigeria project; Leading with the right ethical Compass. Chief Nwosu said, “Nation building could be a very daunting exercise. But with good and committed leaders, the journey could be much easier.

I invite all Nigerians to have very deep reflection concerning our Nation Nigeria, and its 100 years of Nationhood.” According to him, “Today our great country with 200 million population is in a dysfunctional state. Our biggest resources in human capacity and diversity seem to be weighing us down and tearing us apart. “However, I do not want to dwell on our failings.

I want to assure you all that we the African Democratic Congress ADC working with Coalition [or Nigeria Movement CNlM, and many strategic coalition partners, involving a Rainbow coalition of Political parties, civil societies, labor and trade.” unions, and well-meaning eminent Nigerians are determined to reframe the narratives about Nigeria.

“We have worked tirelessly to put this coalition together. Many important stakeholders helped to guide our party. I wish to specially mention President Oluscgun Obasanjo for his tireless support. His word “I am not perfect, but 1 enjoin you to join me in having deep passion and unshakable commitment for Nigeria”. “This will guide this new ADC always.

The formal launch of our new ADC party will take place so. I wish to enjoin all of us to embrace our philosophy of role modelling leadership as a way to building the new Nigeria and a greater Africa. “In everything we do, to be successful, we must remain true to ourselves. Deep reflection helps leaders to clear their heads, clarify their path to be able to focus purposefully, for each party involved; we expect true and committed engagement to the Nigeria Project.”

Teacher Sentenced To 25 Years In Jail For Causing Boy's Arm Amputation In Gombe
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories

The teacher who caused the amputation of Zubair Abubakar's arm in Gombe State has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. This is a report gathered from a tweet of a social media activist Aloui Ibrahim.

The activist also advocated for the swift ending to the prevalence of Almajiris on the street of most Northern States.

Recall that 12- year -old boy named Zubair Abubakar had his hands amputated after the punishment meted on him by his teacher for allegedly stealing a phone led to the cessation of bloodflow to his hands.

12- year -old boy named Zubair Abubakar in Gombe State had his hands amputated after the punishment meted on him by his teacher for allegedly stealing a phone led to the cessation of bloodflow to his hands

Doctors said they had to amputate the boy’s two hands because they had become infected and gangrenous

It was gathered that the boy allegedly stole a cellphone which made the head teacher of his school, one Malam Sirajo Mohammed, to tie his hands as a punishment.

The boy later developed an infection that led to complications, resulting in the amputation of his two hands at the Federal Teaching Hospital , Gombe.

The governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Dankwambo had earlier directed the Commissioner for Justice to ensure that the culprit is arrested and prosecuted.

He then advised the parents of the victim to be patient, and assured them that government would do everything possible to assist the boy.

"Government has taken over the medical bills of the victim . The governor is really concerned and feels that , for no reason, should the boy be allowed to suffer any further. I am calling on you to be patient. Already , it has happened ; the only thing to be done is to see how we will assist him to be in good health," he said.

“The police are investigating the matter and whoever is found culpable will face the law,” he said.

In another statement, the governor said that he will be responsible for the boy's education.

"I want to specially thank each and everyone of you who drew my attention to what happened to Young Zubairu.," he said.

"I read all your reactions and opinions on this platform and I heed to so many of them.

I’m currently out of Gombe but I have instructed the commissioner for Justice and Women Affairs to pay Zubairu a visit at the hospital where he is currently receiving treatement.

I have directed the commissioner for Justice to ensure that the culprit of this dastardly act is arrested and prosecuted.

I have also instructed my team to ensure all his medical bills are well taken care of.

Henceforth, I will be responsible for his education.

No child anywhere in the North or elsewhere in Nigeria should be made to go through this kind of pain on account of primordial beliefs.

For kids like Zuberu to be able to aspire and as well acquire basic education in life, I personally converted my family house in Gombe to a school where the Almajiris will be given Quranic and conventional education simultaneously.

May Allah bring him quick healing. Amen."

Police Arrest Dismissed Policeman Declared Wanted For Offa Bank Robbery
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories

GIST FROM WAKABOBO.COM

Operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team have arrested one of the four robbery suspects declared wanted for attacks on banks in Offa, Kwara State.

The suspect, Michael Adikwu, an ex-policeman, was said to have been dismissed in 2012 by the Kwara State Police Command for allegedly aiding the escape of some robbery suspects.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Adikwu, until his dismissal, was attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the state command.

Adikwu was said to have been arraigned in court and remanded in a prison, where he spent three years before he found his way out and formed a robbery gang with others.

He was reportedly arrested on Tuesday in a town in Kwara State by the DCP Abba Kyari-led IRT operatives, who acted on a tip-off from members of the public who saw Adikwu’s picture among those declared wanted.

A robbery gang had stormed some banks in Offa on April 5 and killed scores of people, including nine policemen.

They reportedly carted away millions of naira during the operation which lasted for about an hour.

Although the state Commissioner of Police, Ado Lawan, put the number of fatalities at 17, the Operations Commander, Vigilance Group of Nigeria, Offa, Kwara State chapter, Wasiu Adepoju, said his men counted 50 corpses.

Leaked Closed Circuit Television footage of the incident revealed when the robbers blew up a security post of one of the banks as they intermittently brought out bags suspected to be containing money out of the premises.

While about 20 suspects were said to have been arrested, the Kwara State Government placed a bounty of N5m on the other fleeing robbers.

In a statement on Friday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Jimoh Moshood, released the pictures of four members of the gang captured in the CCTV footage and declared them wanted.

Moshood stated that the assailants were being monitored by the International Police and would soon be apprehended.

A senior police officer disclosed to PUNCH Metro on Wednesday that one of the wanted robbers was tracked down on Tuesday.

The source said the arrested suspect, Odikwu, was a police corporal and was dismissed from the Force in 2012 after his alleged involvement in the escape of some robbery suspects.

The source said, “He (Adikwu) was a SARS operative at the Kwara State Police Command. He used to fraternise with robbers. There was a robbery that happened in Kwara State about six years ago. The robbers killed somebody and escaped. The police were able to arrest those robbers.

“He collected money from those robbery suspects and released them. Later, the robbers were rearrested and they confessed that he aided their escape. He was arrested, tried in an orderly room trial and dismissed.

“He was charged to court together with the robbery suspects and was in prison for three years. He and some of the robbers were able to manoeuvre their way out of the prison and formed a robbery gang.”

Another source said a team of detectives got a lead that Adikwu was staying in a hideout in the state and swooped on him.

“The lead was given to the police by an informant. His hideout was cordoned off and he was arrested. He was apprehended by the IRT operatives in a community in Kwara State,” the source added.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, said arrests had been made, but he had yet to receive information on Adikwu’s arrest.

He said, “What I know is that the IRT team and the command are investigating the matter and have been making arrests. The Force PRO will come out with other information at the right time.”

The FPRO, Moshood, could not be reached for comment as calls to his line rang out.

He had also yet to reply to a text message sent to his telephone as of press time.

· THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE CONSIDERS THE RESOLUTION AS A DELIBERATE BLACKMAIL, WITCH-HUNTING, UNFORTUNATE AND MISCHIEVOUS

The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to the media reportage of the Senate’s resolution on Senate Order Paper of today, Wednesday, 9th May, 2018 after a closed door session that the “Senate declares the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim k. Idris, NPM, mni, as enemy of democracy and unfit to hold any public office within and outside the country”.

2. It is urgently imperative that the Nigeria Police Force respond to this resolution of the Senate which is a deliberate blackmail, witch-hunting, unfortunate and mischievous.

3. In accordance with the extant laws in Nigeria, the functions, duties and responsibilities of the Inspector General of Police as stated in Section 215(1a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, and the Police Act and Regulations Section 309(1) can also be carried out as mentioned in sections 7(1),312(1), 313(2) of the Police Act and Regulations by a senior officer of the Force of the Rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police or an Assistant Inspector General of Police who if permitted by the Inspector General of Police to act on his behalf or represent him in an official capacity at any official function, event or programme within and outside Nigeria can do so in consonant with the provisions of the Police Act and Regulations.

4. It is on the basis of the above that when on the 25thof April, 2018, the Senate invited the Inspector-General of Police to appear before it on the 26th of April 2018, in respect of the felonious offenses for which Sen. Dino Melaye was taken into Police custody, investigated and arraigned in a Court of Competent Jurisdiction in Lokoja, but because the Inspector-General of Police was on official assignment with the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria to Bauchi on same date, he delegated the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, Assistant Inspector-Generals of Police and some Commissioners of Police conversant with the matter to brief the Senate.

5. The delegated Officers went with a brief of the Inspector-General of Police on the matter to the Senate to enable the Senate appreciate the issues raised to guide their resolutions on the matter but the Senate refused to listen to the Officers delegated by the Inspector-General of Police in line with his powers recognized by both the Constitution and the Police Act and Regulations.

6. The Senate again on the 26th of April 2018 wrote the Inspector-General of Police re-inviting him to appear before the Senate in person on the 2nd of May, 2018 but this time around the IGP was on official assignment to Birnin-Gwari Area of Kaduna State in company of the General Officer Commanding, One Division, Nigerian Army Kaduna, Major General Mohammed Mohammed to attend to some very serious security matters of National Importance, but he promptly delegated the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Research and Planning, Assistant Inspectors General of Police and Commissioners of Police to represent him and brief the Senate on the same subject matter but the Senate again refused to accord them audience insisting that the Inspector-General of Police must appear in person.

7. On the 8th of May, 2018, the Inspector General of Police sent a letter to the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria signed by the Commissioner of Police, Legal and Prosecution Department, explaining why he would not be appearing before the Senate on the 9th of May, 2018 due to legal restraint as a result of pending cases before the courts filed: (i) by Senator Dino Melaye against the IGP and the Nigeria Police Force in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja in suit No. CV/1610/18 slated for hearing on the 11th day of May, 2018.

(ii) by the Inspector General of Police against the Senate in the Federal High Court, Abuja in suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/457/2018 adjourned to 31st May, 2018 for hearing.

8. It is on record thatconsequent on the confession of criminal offences indicting Senator Dino Melaye by the principal suspect KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS”, The Nigeria Police Force, sent a letter of investigation activities/invitation dated 2nd March, 2018 addressed to the Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria informing and requesting him to release Senator Dino Melaye to report to Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command on the 7th of March, 2018 to answer to criminal offences of Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Firearms levelled against him, this is to enable the Police Investigation Team carryout a discreet and thorough investigation into the case. But Senator Dino Melaye refused to honour the Police invitation.

9. It is pertinent that the Nigeria Police Force informs the members of the General Public that the reasons for which the Senate has summoned the Inspector General of Police is official and not personal, and the 1999 constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended and the Police Act and Regulations allowed the IGP to delegate Deputy Inspector General of Police or Assistant Inspector General of Police to represent him.

10. Consequently, the action of the Senate in its resolution against the IGP today is a deliberate blackmail, witch-hunting with mischievous motives to hand-twist the IGP to pervert the end of justice in afelonious and serious offenses of Criminal Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Firearms for which Senator Dino Melaye who was indicted by two (2) Principal Suspects (Kabiru Seidu A.K.A OSAMA, Nuhu Salisu A.K.A SMALL) arrested forseveral cases of kidnappings and armed robberies in Kogi State are already standing trial in a court of competent jurisdiction.

11. It is important to correct the impression created in the minds of the people from the Senate’s resolution that the IGP is not and will not be an enemy to democracy. It is also of significant note to state thatIGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni, has served meritoriously for above Ten (10) years in the United Nations Peace Keeping Operations in several countries unblemished. The Nigeria Police Force is the first defender of Democracy and all democratic institutions in Nigeria and will continue to do so.

12. It is factual and verifiable that Senator Dino Melaye was discharged and certified fit to stand trial by the National Hospital, Abuja before he was arraigned in Chief Magistrate Courts in Wuse, Abuja and Lokoja.

13. The Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force will not be deterred by blackmail from any individual or group no matter how highly placed from the enforcement of Law and Order and ensuring that the Rule of Law prevails.
No matter whose Ox is gored.

14. The Nigeria Police Force, therefore, owes no apology to any individual or groups in its effort to ensure preservation of law and order, supremacy of the law of the land, and make sure that all Nigerians are subject to the same law, no matter what their position is in the society.

15. The General Public are hereby implored to disregard and discountenance the resolution of the Senate on the IGP as a deliberate blackmail, witch-hunting and mischievously aimed at casting aspersions on the hard earned integrity of the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force.

16. The Nigeria Police Force as a law abiding organization will continue to hold the Senate of Federal Republic of Nigeria in high esteem but wishes to impress on the Senate not to harbour criminal elements among its fold or condone criminality. The Force will not be intimidated by any individual, groups or institution, constituent or otherwise to abdicate from its constitutional responsibilities of protection of lives and property and due enforcement of the rule of law, and law and order across the Country.

Nigerian pastor Rabbai Ephraim Ononye took to Facebook to share the story of how man's brother died after he killed a lizard in the midnight.According to him,the man has suffered witchcraft attack for long before attending his church.Below is what he wrote...

"I  KILLED  THE. LIZARD. AND. MY  OWN. BROTHER. DIED. INSTANTLY'

This man has suffered witchcraft attack for so many many years but one day, he attended prayers at Power House Assembly Onitsha Obosi branch from Imo state.

He was given a prayer assignment during prophetic ministration.

After his midnight assignment, he laid on his bed and was about sleeping when this lizard appeared on the headside of his bed.

He got up and hit the lizard on it's head with a tick and the lizard died.

Instantly, his brother started shouting from his own house, My head, my head" and died just like the lizard.

Is he responsible  for his brother's death?

I see the end of the wicked.

God will hand your enemy over to you and end every witchcraft operation in ur life and family Amen'

Son Kills His 82-Year-Old Mother In Anambra, Removes Her Eye, Heart For Ritual
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 03:35 PM - No Replies

Quote:By Vincent Ujumadu, Awka

THE Anambra State Police command has arrested one Christopher Okadigbo (52) suspected to be responsible for the murder of his mother, Mrs. Rosaline Okadigbo, 82, a widow at Nando in Anambra East local government area for alleged ritual purposes.

Also in police net was Mr. Ameke Udolu, who was said to be a friend of Christopher and an alleged accomplice. It was gathered that the left eye and the heart of the late octogenarian were removed when her corpse was seen in her house at Nando. First son of the deceased, Chief Innocent Okadigbo said yesterday at Nando that his younger brother was responsible for the dastardly act, adding that the motive was to use his late mother for ritual.

He said that his late mother, who was hale and hearty, reported the suspicious move of his brother and Ameke Ndolu to him on May 1, 2018, only for the woman to be found dead the following day.

He said: “My mother told me on telephone on May 1, 2018 that my younger brother, Christopher came to her apartment with one Ameke Udolu and were moving round and making comments that were highly suspicious. “My mother added that she was afraid of staying alone in her house due to the kind of utterances she overheard the duo make while moving round her apartment.

“In the early hours of May 2, 2018, less than 24 hours after my mother’s apprehensive telephone report to me, I received another call from one Pius Aniefule that my mother was found dead in the pool of her blood. “Minutes after Aniefule’s call, my brother, Christopher, who stopped relating with me since 1999, also called to inform me of the incident, claiming that he traveled to Minna, Niger State from where people at home broke the news to him.”

Corroborating the allegation, Aniefule said he raised an alarm, which attracted people in the neighbourhood and later telephoned his first son, Innocent on the gruesome killing of his mother. He said: “As people rushed to the scene, we saw Ameke Udolu coming out of one of the rooms of late Mrs. Rosaline Okadigbo’s house and we overpowered and held him. “We collected his phone and uncovered some incriminating telephone communications between Udolu and Christopher, the second son of the deceased.

“When we got the phone, we forced him to make a call to Christopher and put on the speaker, which Christopher did not know. It was then that Christopher told Udolu to hurry down to Nteje junction if he had accomplished the job and wait for him there.” He said, due to the revelation from the phone conversation between the two, the irate crowd started to beat up Udolu.

He said that it was the intervention of the President-General of the community and the arrival of security operatives, who later arrested the two suspects, that saved them from being lynched. Chief Ignatius Aghadinuno, the President General of Nando community said that at the time he got to the home of the deceased, he saw the corpse of Rosaline and aggrieved villagers, as well as Udolu.

According to him, because of the massive beating Udolu received from the people, he pleaded with the people to stop and subsequently invited security operatives, who later arrested Udolu over the act. The President-General said that Christopher was later caught hiding in the home of a native doctor very close to the community before he was handed over to police.

He appealed to the police to do a thorough investigation on the matter and ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime were brought to book. Younger brother of the deceased, Chief Uyammadu Anaeliaku alleged that Christopher had previously been identified with fetish activities and appealed to the state government to assist the family by compelling him to exhume the charms he allegedly buried around their compound.

He said: “My late sister Rosaline gave birth to eleven children and as we speak, only two are alive. The rest died under questionable circumstances.” A source at the police headquarters in Awka said the state police command was already on top of the situation.

Cee-C And Tobi Bakre's Interview With Media Room: "Tobi Is A Gossip" - CeeC
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 03:31 PM - No Replies

GIST FROM WAKABOBO.COM

READ THE INTERVIEW BELOW

ARE YOU BOTH AWARE THAT BIGBROTHER HOUSE IS A GAME HOUSE?

Cee-c – yeah…of course, I will speak for myself I’m very much aware that it was all a game.
Tobi – it’s a game but then you play it in a certain type of way, there is a part you have to play as a game. So, it’s a reality show and there is a reality and a show you also have to be part of. You can’t really play the game for 95days, we are humans. The game part is your nomination show.

BOTH OF YOU WERE THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL IN THE HOUSE, CAN YOU TELL US IF THE WHOLE DOUBLE WAHALA DRAMA WAS SCRIPTED OR IT JUST HAPPENED WHILE YOU GUYS WERE IN THE HOUSE?

Tobi – In the bigbrother house generally, nothing was scripted, everything that happened in there was very natural. Even at a point we thought we were boring and they might probably want to scrap the show that was how bad it was. So, nothing was predetermined everything was totally natural and that’s the nature of the game.
Cee-c – Eeeeerm…I totally agree with what Tobi said, in the house nothing was scripted. None of us was given any script to work on, everything that happened in the house were normal day to day activities.

TOBI THERE WAS THIS MAGICAL THING ABOUT YOU TWO WHEN YOU JUST GOT INTO THE HOUSE, SO WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO HER?

Tobi– In the game, how it happened was the head of house challenge. First of all, when we got on stage I saw this beautiful lady that was wearing a nice dress, so I complemented. And when we got to the house, we fakely got evicted and went back to the house. At first, I was meant to choose Koko, but she denied knowing me at a point prior to winning head of house, so I chose Cee-c as my partner. Naturally we started to bound, for the first two weeks it was more like sharing and knowing someone you kind of have like minds with, so we used to share thoughts and we kind of built a safe space around each other at that point.

SO CEE-C WHAT IS YOUR ATTRACTION TO TOBI?

Cee-c– So I got into bigbrother house amongst all the guys in the house , I saw this very nice looking young man, of course he is mentally attractive and I watched him every day, watched the way he handles the task, he pays attention to details. He is this guy that always cares about me, asking me questions about my wellbeing, more like we built a home together in the first few weeks because every night we come back to the bed to talk about the day. For me, the attraction was all package, it was amazing, he was an amazing guy too.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT PEOPLE’S OPINION ON YOU BEEN POSSESSIVE IN THE HOUSE?

Cee-c– The truth is YES, cee-c is possessive, what belongs to me belongs to me. For a guy to say he likes me, and I like him too, it’s very normal for me not to want any girl around him. It wasn’t all about me been possessive, I think also I was scared about the fact that it’s a game and many girls would like to play dirty in there, so I didn’t want him to get close to these girls because they could use him to get to me.

SO TOBI WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO A WOMAN BEEN POSSESSIVE?

Tobi – well, it’s normal for a woman to be possessive but not to be over possessive. Its okay to want something and want it to yourself, but you can’t be extreme about it. That is just my opinion about a woman been possessive.

YOU WERE LIKE A VERY STRONG CONTENDER IN THE HOUSE, DO YOU THINK ONE OF THE DRAMA BETWEEN YOU AND CEE-C COST YOU THE PRIZE?

TOBI– for me I went into the house to be myself and I will never sacrifice being myself for 25million naira or 45million naira prize. Like if I’m going to win let me win as myself, of course I had my flaws.

THERE WAS A TIME IN THE HOUSE CEE-C ASSAULTED YOU VERBALLY, DO YOU TINK YOU MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG TO MAKE HER REACTE THE WAY SHE DID?

TOBI– I did not particularly do anything to get what I got from cee-c, we were all been ourselves and natural. So I’m not responsible for people’s actions, in fact nobody is responsible for anybody’s actions. Actions or reaction is totally dependent on who you are as a person.

WAS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ALEX TO SPITE CEE-C OR WHAT?

TOBI – At no point did I do anything to spite Cee-c, even Alex sometimes preach to me about her, she’s the kind of girl who sees good in everybody, even when she thinks you are not so cool. I actually learnt that from Alex, I learnt to see good in people because it gives positive energy.

BEFORE YOU LEFT THE HOUSE, EBUKA ASKED IF YOU WERE GOING TO DATE ALEX OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS?

Tobi– truth be told, that question was a very objective question, it’s like me getting to know you and I was asked that kind of question at that time. Alex is a good girl, why won’t I want to date her? For me to say I can’t date her means there is something wrong with her, but there is nothing wrong with her. Even without the last couple of weeks trying to know each other, I still think she is a good girl and I would give the same response. You see something good; you accept and acknowledge it is good.

YOU TWO GAVE US TOUGH TIME TRYING TO GET A PERFECT COUPLE PICTURE O BOTH OF YOU FOR OUR COVER , ARE YOU STILL ANGRY WITH CEE-C OR ARE YOU GUYS COOL NOW?

Tobi– As far as been professional and working together, definitely I’m sure we are both open to that. Nothing stops us from been cordial, but at the same time we are human beings. You saying we just drop whatever happened in the is like asking us not to be human and that’s not fair, if you ask me. I mean, we are human beings, definitely lines were crossed, things were said, and things were done. And it’s different when you come out of the house and you apologize genuinely for the things you did, like oh!! whatever thing I did or said that was me playing a game, outside the house sorry that wasn’t me , it was a different ball game sorry, then we access the whole situation and be like , okay it’s was just a game. But when you come out and even almost after leaving , you getting the same vibe, same responses, the same verbal interaction, it’s no more a game. That is the real situation, the real you, so I’m not upset, I’m not angry. For me it was a ‘let it out’ you know when you are angry with someone and you have exhausted you energy, you will be like come and give me a hug and everything will end there. I was thinking we would get to that point but we didn’t. What will end all this is a genuine apology, bigbrother quoted one and she apologized for that, but that wasn’t the first time it was going to happen. It was more like the 3rd time, at a point I almost felt like, yo mehn… it’s like this thing is partial, Bigbrother you are seeing this, this is not right. You don’t apologize for the one Bigbrother saw, if you want to apologize, you do it genuinely, and you apologize in totality. If you want to change as a person, you acknowledge and accept your mistakes, apologize and then try to be better, that’s just it for me.

BASED ON WHAT WE WATCHED ON OUR SCREEN, BOTH OF YOU OFFENDED EACH OTHER AND YOU OWE EACH OTHER APOLOGY. SO ARE YOU GUYS READY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT?

Tobi– yeah, I agree. I have been the one talking since; to be honest nobody can tell me that part in the house was a game. Of course, professionally I don’t hate her. A lot of things I did do in the house, how I was able to handle a lot of things in the house was because I still see her as a friend. But for me, for this relationship to continue three things are involved. Accept you were wrong, apologize and then try to be better.

Cee-c– I don’t want to sound defensive in here but the truth is I don’t think I owe Tobi any apology as at now. You know why? Because I have already apologized for using certain words at him that is, what I know I said wrong. When I went into the house, I didn’t ask Tobi to come around me, I didn’t force him to like me. He should have simply walk up to me to tell me what I did wrong. One thing I know I did very wrong was the day that I used a lot of bad words to him, for that I apologized to Tobi.
Tobi- It wasn’t the first time.
Cee-c– I apologized not because he wasn’t wrong or didn’t do anything for me to do what I did , but because no matter what, attitude is good with all regardless and I feel like that is not who I want to be. I don’t what to hear Cee-c is this Cee-c is that, and I don’t want that for myself either. Everybody watched the show; you all saw what went down in the Bigbrother house. You all saw what Cee-c did wrong, what Tobi did wrong. I agree I was wrong by using certain words for Tobi and I apologized to him. Whether he thinks it was a game of whatever, that’s his cup of tea and he can drink it.

SO TOBI, DO YOU STILL HAVE FEELINGS FOR CEE-C?

Tobi– We are friends; I just really need her to learn. Learning is vital, even when we were romantically involved, we were friends and we had issues, nobody is against you. So from a friend to a friend, learn to be a better person.

O IF MO’ABUDU CALLS YOU GUYS FOR A SET TOGETHER , WILL YOU ACCEPT OR DECLINE THE OFFER?

Tobi– we can work together, I am very professional or let me say I have to be professional. When I was head of house, I had issues with a lot of people. People dint like me but regardless we come together and achieve. Smile when we have to smile, get the job done. For me, I would like to get the job done regardless of personal issues. So working professionally? Definitely we can, but to try and be in a relationship, we can’t. We just have to be friends, I repeat just friends. Looking at the kind of support she is getting, she feels there is nothing wrong with what she did or said in the house. Before leaving the house she felt that way, leaving the house now she even feel more like that.
Cee-c- Sorry about what exactly, like I said earlier I owe Tobi no apology.

WHO WAS YOUR STRONGEST CONTENDER IN THE HOUSE AMONGST THE GIRLS?

Cee-c – I think Anto was my strongest contender in the house.

WHY ANTO?

Cee-c– I chose Anto because she is never vocal, she never got involved in any fight or argument in the house , so I felt like she was more composed than I am. For the ladies, its either you want the one who is very quiet ( Anto) or the one who is crazy ( Cee-c).

WHAT WAS YOUR HAPPIEST MOMENT IN THE HOUSE?

Cee-c– I think it was the day I won the Payporte Arena game, because I was really sick. I had panic attack before the task, biggie dint even think I could participate in the task. I went there and I won the game, that day was my happiest day in the house.

SO WHY DID YOU HAVE A PANIC ATTACK?

Cee-c- To me that environment was new, I’m not used to staying in a place with so much people. I’m not use to a lot of things that happened in the house. I had a lot in my head, thinking about my family, thinking about the people out there and how they see me, there was Tobi’s issue too.

DO YOU THINK TOBI HAD A HAND IN THE WAY OTHER HOUSEMATES SAW YOU IN THE HOUSE?

Cee-c– No, I wouldn’t do that to Tobi. I feel like he is an adult, you should be able to see things for yourself. You shouldn’t form an opinion based on what people tell you, People say want they want to say.

IN THE HOUSE, SOME OF THE HOUSEMATES SAW TOBI AS A GOSSIP, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO THIS?

Cee-c– Tobi talks about people a lot, to him it might not be gossiping but I call that gossiping. He talks about people when they are not there; he does that a lot with his friends so I see Tobi as a gossip.

DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU WERE THE DOUBLEE WAHALA?

Cee-c – yeah!!! I’m surprised to hear that, I felt like I was doing my thing .All that happened was just Cee-c being cee-c. Honestly, when I came out and I saw some of the videos I was shocked and surprised to see what I did. Though I started watching from Bigbrother house, when we are about to get a strike biggie show us the video.

SO WHAT PLANS DO YOU HAVE NOW THAT THE GAME IS OVER?

Cee-c– I have a lot of plans funny enough, because before I went for Bigbrother I wanted to go for my masters (MBA) and I wanted to finance it , because I’m very independent . I wanted to go into the house, win the money so I can further my education, unfortunately, I dint win the money so I have to stay here and make this money. While I’m here, I want to go everything entertainment; acting , hosting, modeling , fashion, but I don’t want to be an artist. I’m not going to leave my father’s business, I’m also an advertising practitioner, but then I’m not going to be doing a 9-5, Probably going to be doing freelance. For me now, it’s all about entertainment so I can be able to get money to fund my masters.

DO YOU THINK OTHER HOUSEMATES WERE TRYING TO FRUSTRATE YOU INTO DEPRESSION?

Cee-c – yeah…coming out of the house now, I realized that other housemates saw me as threat to them and they tried to pull me down. I feel like people were intentionally doing certain things to frustrate me.

DO YOU ALSO THINK ALEX BROKE THE ‘GIRL CODE’ BY BEEN TOO CLOSE TO YOUR MAN INSTEAD OF TRYING TO RECTIFY THE DAMAGES THAT HAS AFFECTED YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

Cee-c– In the house we were just trying to be friends and not to build a relationship. I had nothing against them being together, but the only thing I have against Alex is the fact that, you are a woman for God sake, you sit with him and discuss your fellow woman, giving false information about her . So I don’t think Alex snatched anybody from me, Tobi was never mine in the first place. The only thing I frowned at was Alex gossiping about me with Tobi, she painted an ugly picture of me and for whatever reason she did that, I don’t know.

DO YOU THINK THEY ARE BEST FRIENDS OR THEY ARE SECRETELY DATING?

Cee-c – whatever they are doing is their business not mine.

HOW IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ALEX?

Cee-c – she’s just like every other housemate to me, because out of this place, we are trying to see what we can all do together.

SO IF TOMORROW YOU HEAR THAT ALEX AND TOBI ARE OFFICIALLY DATING, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Cee-c– Its fine really, because if I’m not with Tobi, he should be with someone else and if it’s Alex, for me it is the same thing as been with another girl. So it’s no big deal.

YOU MENTIONED A NAME ‘DIDI’ IN THE HOUSE, WERE YOU IN ANY RELATIONSHIP BEFORE GOING INTO BIGBROTHER HOUSE?

Cee-c- There is actually a Didi, he is my best friend. He was the one who told me and pushed me into this in the first place; he has always been there for me. We were never dating, we are just friends, so any time I’m lonely I just call the name Didi.

THERE HAS BEEN SPECULATIONS THAT YOU AND EBUKA DATED IN THE PAST, BUT HE WENT ON AIR TO DENY KNOWING YOU IN PERSON, SO WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU, DO YOU KNOW EBUKA IN PERSON?

Cee-c – Actually, this was the first issue I addressed immediately I got out of the house, he is a married man for Christ sake. The first time I mentioned Ebuka’s name was when they asked us about role model and I said Ebuka, because he is a lawyer, so am I. I kept wondering how he was able to make it in the entertainment industry; somehow he is very relevant in the industry. I always looked forward to time when I can ask him how he was able to achieve all these, I also want to do what he is doing, I want to remain relevant in the industry, and the only thing that got me attracted to Ebuka was his career transitioning. We never had a personal meeting before the Bigbrother game, I saw Ebuka at a beauty pageant. I can understand that Ebuka may not remember me; definitely he must have met a lot of faces being an influence, so it’s okay for him not to remember me. Even when I was doing my Bigbrother registration, I never contacted him.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE PICTURE OF YOU TWO THAT WENT VIRAL?

Cee-c – that was a picture from the beauty pageant, that was the first time I met Ebuka .

SO WHO IS YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?

Cee-c – coming out of the house to see all the things Uti did for me, I’m crushing on him right now. So, I would say Uti is my celebrity crush. Shout out to Uti and thank you for everything.

YOU WERE THE ONLY HOUSEMATE THAT HAD THE EFFONTRY TO RIP THE OUTIF GIVEN TO YOU BY PAYPORT, WAS THAT ALSO YOU BEING YOURSELF OR A MISTAKE FROM PAYPORTE?

Cee-c – I always try to express myself through my dressing, so when it comes to fashion I’m always conscious of what I wear. I have plans of doing thing that has to do with fashion, so it wasn’t about payporte giving me a bad dress, it was just Cee-c being Cee-c . I always like to look the way I want to be address.

EARLIER YOU SAID YOU PLANNING ON GOING FOR ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES, WHAT STEPS HAVE YOU TAKEN CONCERNING THIS DECISION?

Cee-c – I won’t say because someone did one or two things and I reacted, I don’t have anger issue. You can be angry but don’t react that way, that’s not cool. For me it’s all about learning, knowing the fact that bottling thing inside is not good enough, you can explode at anytime and hurt the other person.

DO YOU REGRET YOUR ACTIONS TOWARDS TOBI?

Cee-c – yes , I used certain words at Tobi which weren’t good enough. I shouldn’t have acted that way, just realized there are better ways to talk things out without insulting anybody. Not the fact that I express my anger, but the way I expressed it.

When the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cautioned Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu to “stop playing god”, they completely mischaracterized his true identity. Bola Tinubu was not playing god. He is a god, a deity of corruption, and menacing ideas filled with deplorable wisdom and economic practices most foul that he has entrenched himself and his business empire in every facet of governance in Lagos State. Through him and by him, corruption permeates every major revenue generation contract in Lagos State.

Many lonely folks, adrift in the Nigerian political area, keen to get into elective offices are drawn to the mini deity of Lagos. These faithful servants of the mini deity of corruption starting from Fashola to Ambode and Rauf Aregbesola‏ were required to endure a ceremony to join the cult that involved planting a seed of silence in them. Once elected, the seed gradually grew until the transparent system of governance is replaced with rotting contracts and concessions to the controlling deity.

To his credit, this mini deity of Lagos single-handedly rescued Lagos from the impunity of election rigging by Obasanjo in 2003. The courage of Bola Tinubu to stop Obasanjo from entrenching the culture of election rigging in Nigeria is commendable. With the strength of the massive internal revenue being generated in Lagos, Tinubu was able to checkmate Obasanjo. At one point, he was running the state without the Local Government revenue from the Federal government, a feat most states cannot even imagine.

However, the accolade may itself have accounted for much of the arteriosclerosis in his government, with the complete decay of ethics. The cash generated from markets and businesses in Lagos was rechanneled into thousands of private pockets in a fashion that has never happened in the governance of any state in Nigeria, not even the federal government. Mind you, Lagos State is currently the fifth largest economy in Africa. Bola Tinubu thus presents a vivid and frightening picture of how a great state could fall under the control of one man.

If we accept the evidence that the total internally generated tax revenue increased perhaps, several-fold under Tunibu’s re-engineering, then he deserves the credit. But to extract a palm nut is exactly that - to extract a palm nut; to take the entire head of palm nut is stealing. So, taking full control of the revenue being generated in Lagos state for year’s amounts to virtual paralysis in many sectors that need urgent infrastructural development. What is new in Asiwaju’s modus operandi is not the existence of this corruption, but its sheer scale and long-term implications.

A sea-change occurred in the ethics of government under Tinubu’s watch in Lagos. He operated not through the impersonal administration, but rather through, patronage and kinship. Bribery and abuses always occurred in governments, of course. But under Bola Tinubu’s reign, they became the norm: no longer abuses of a system, but an alternative system in itself. Everything was bought and sold: Speaker of the State House, judges' verdicts and tax assessments. Appointments to the lucrative Council Areas across Lagos became a marketplace of power.

What Tinubu is in Lagos, Bukola Saraki and his family are in Kwara State. These men are quietly constructing a political dynasty that is undermining good governance in their states and Nigeria as a whole. Now, the political structure of the mini deity of Lagos is so superbly sophisticated, with loyalties and ties that cut across the Southwestern Nigeria and the APC federal government. The sale is such that only the unusually brave could stand up against his institutionalized corruption.

Institutionalized corruption in Nigeria is rotten and cancerous, yet attractive. The celebration of an ex-convict by a serving Delta State governor; the worship of corrupt mini deities in Lagos and Kwara State should be a source of worry to Nigerians, especially those of us hoping to engineer cultural change on corruption on social media. Clearly, when it comes to the treatment of the corrupt but powerful deities by law in Nigeria, corruption is a troubled concept.

If not, how could Bola Tinubu label PDP as chronically corrupt (which they are) and at the same time be corruptly enriching himself in Lagos? How could Buhari be using billions of Naira to settle Saraki and Droga and their gang in the National Assembly while pretending to be fighting corruption? How could Alpha Beta, a consultancy firm linked to Tinubu be pocketing about 4 Billion Naira monthly as “consultancy” charges and is in pole position to net additional billions per month (forever and ever) in a recent law on the Land Use Act in Lagos State?

The desire to find answers to these questions should be a starting point in the fight against corruption. Why should Nigerians be dusting their PVC to keep lining up behind these corrupt deities? Where is my generation, the Nigerian youths beating our chest that we are not ‘lazy’ yet willing to kill one another for Ibori, Saraki, Tibubu, Wike, Amaechi, Obasanjo and Buhari?

As if my concern about the corrupt deity of Lagos is not enough, the Senate President Bukola Saraki paid a courtesy visit to EFCC Chairman yesterday, to show “support”, where he was quoted to have said, "we are together in the corruption fight". Once that came out of his mouth, God wept for Nigeria. But there was a chorus of joy and singing in Aso Rock, where the Presidency shouted “Yessssss!”

Finally, the permutation and combinations of the Presidency for the 2019 race appears to have brought two heavyweights, Asiwaju Tinubu and Bukola Saraki with unmatched “integrity” when it comes to fighting corruption to Buhari’s camp. With these two mini deities of corruption as the face of Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade backed by Kemi Adeosun’s billions of Naira ready to buy the National Assembly and willing politicians, you can only imagine what will be left of Nigeria after the 2019 elections.

I have been told repeatedly that Nigeria is beyond redemption. But only Nigerians who are crazy enough to think they can change the culture of corruption are the ones who will. Even when we are not taking for granted the immense power of the mob behind the mini corrupt deities in Nigeria, we will not give up hope on our generation and posterity. The crazy Nigerians without respect for the status quo will not be deterred. So, stand out, stand up to the mini deities of corruption in Nigeria. Join the misfits and be a rebel for anticorruption struggle in Nigeria.

Together, we can!

Nigerians Will No Longer Buy Houses Like Fish In Market – Fashola
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 02:43 PM - No Replies

he federal government of Nigerian has pledged to provide affordable houses by mortgage that people can pay for throughout their working life.

The Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who stated this on Wednesday, said part of the change agenda of the ruling All Progressive Congress is that, “Nigerians would no longer have to buy a house like fish in the market. That is not how it works in other societies.

“The payment period will be spread over a period of time, usually your working life. That is really affordability. Housing is not just about building; it is also providing access to funding through the Federal Mortgage Bank.”

Fashola stated this in Jigawa State where he is on a supervision tour of federal road and housing projects.

According to the minister, “Workers who are contributing to the National Housing Fund have something now to look forward to. We are going to create a line of supply houses and access to credit and allow you to choose what your income can afford.”

“That is the journey of change President Buhari has been talking about. We will experience something new. The change will not be only on the new houses but also how to pay for the houses in a manner that makes it convenient for you,” he stated.

On electricity, the minister said people were now free to set up independent power generation companies “without necessarily requesting for license.”

He said the federal government is encouraging the private sector to invest in generation and selling of power to the public.

“Any interested individual or company can set up power generation from two megawatts downwards and sell it to public without requesting for any licence.

“We are encouraging people to set up small power generation and sell it according to their capacity, not necessarily going for big projects that require huge amount of money and expertise”, he said.

PDP Condemns IG’s Refusal To Honour Senate Invitation
User Avatar Forum: Retired Forums. Please Make Your Post Within The 3 Forums In General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 02:40 PM - No Replies

The Peoples Democratic Party has criticised the repeated snub of Senate’s invitation by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, and described the attitude as “an assault on Nigeria’s democracy”.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reported that Idris, who was expected to appear before the Senate on Tuesday, failed to show up. It was the third time the Police boss was failing to honour such invitation.

Irked by that behaviour, the senate on Tuesday passed a vote of no confidence on the IGP and declared him unfit to hold any public office.

The PDP, in its reaction to the development, said that it was “very wrong” for the IGP to ignore the invitation, saying that he had missed a chance to share ideas with the lawmakers on ways to tackle the insecurity in the nation,

“His (IGP)’s refusal to honour the invitation is a deliberate assault on Nigeria’s democracy; it is a willful denigration of the National Assembly and a recourse to totalitarianism,” the party said in a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, its National Publicity Secretary.

The PDP said that it was “unfortunate” that Idris had, for the third time, shunned the Senate invitation over the worsening security situation in the nation.

“Never in our democratic history as a people and as a nation, has a service chief treated the National Assembly with disdain like the current IGP.

“All over the world, the legislature is a bastion of democracy and our constitution, in recognition of this, provides a special place for our National Assembly, as the representatives of the people, to serve as a check on the executive arm.

“We, therefore, condemn this offensive on our democracy by IGP Idris. We also condemn the deliberate insult being heaped on each of our legislators by appointees of President Muhammadu Buhari,’’ the party said.

The PDP urged the President of the Senate and other senators to protect the institution of the legislature and the country’s democracy by not limiting their action only to finding Ibrahim Idris as “unfit” to hold public office.

“The Senate should take the next step within their legislative instrument and powers to restore the respect and dignity which the generality of Nigerians and the 1999 Constitution (as amended), bestowed on them,” the statement said.

Meri Brown: She Has a New, Non-Polygamous Man!
User Avatar Forum: TV
Posted by: Gimbiya - 05-10-2018, 02:14 PM - No Replies

According to a new report, Meri Brown has moved on from Kody Brown.
And here's the best part:

She's moved on with a man who actually exists!

We're sorry.

But that's a catfishing joke that simply had to be made after Meri got herself all wrapped up in scandal two years ago after she struck up a relationship with someone online she believed to be a potential boyfriend.

She then learned, however, that this person was a female and she was the victim of a very cruel prank. Ouch, right?

That was back then, though, and now Meri has dusted herself off and made the best of her life.

Does this life include Kody? This is the question fans continue to ask.

It certainly seemed as if the answer was no after Kody said he didn't want to have sex with Meri any longer, but the fact remains this:

The stars are still married.

We're not sure what to think.

Yes, there are some signs that Meri and Kody are in love again, the latest example being the picture above, which was snapped in late April and which depicts Kody visiting Meri in Chicago.

Wrote Meri as a caption:

Kody flew out to Chicago on my last day of #LuLaRoe leadership so we could spend our anniversary together yesterday. How sweet was that?! 28 years and still here!

Sounds like a content woman, right?

Not so fast, writes Life & Style.

This tabloid claims Meri has finally had enough of Kody taking on new wives (she was his first, remember) and that she's ready to leave her long-time husband.

Especially now that she has a new lover waiting for her once she officially makes this decision.

“This man treats her life a queen,” an insider tells the aforementioned magazine, adding a more details:
“He’s friends with some of Meri’s family and they’ve known each other for several years, but things only became romantic recently.”
Do we know his name? His occupation? His age?
Nope, nope and nope.
But he’s never been married and he isn’t interested in polygamy, Life & Style explains.

“He’s not into fame, either,” the source adds. “He just loves her a lot. He says he has always felt she wasn’t appreciated in her marriage to Kody.”
The tabloid goes on to say that Kody and his other wives (Janelle, Christine, and Robyn) are staying put in Las Vegas these days, where they moved for a bit to hide from the anti-polygamy laws of Utah.
Meanwhile, Meri is enjoying her life back in Utah with her new boyfriend.
And why not, right? Tt's not as though her problems with Kody have been a secret.
"The whole thing sucks, sorry,” Robyn said of Meri and Kody’s predicament while in counseling.
She concluded at the time:
“It’s not fun and it’s hard to know what to do with it... we love Meri, we love Kody. We have to be Switzerland constantly and we hate to see him in this place, and it’s stressful for our family."

Stormy Daniels: Did Trump Pay Her $130k With Funds From Russia?
User Avatar Forum: TV
Posted by: Gimbiya - 05-10-2018, 02:00 PM - No Replies

There have been people who want Stormy Daniels to go away, either because they support Trump or because they view her as a "distraction."
That latter group of people are now eating their words. Because the Stormy sex story has now been linked with Trump's biggest scandal:

Russian collusion.

Michael Avenatti tweeted out this explosive statement:

"After significant investigation, we have discovered that Mr. Trump’s atty Mr. Cohen received approximately $500,000 in the [months] after the election."

The alleged origins of that sizable transfer of funds make this story much bigger than it first appeared.

"From a company controlled by a Russian Oligarc with close ties to Mr. Putin."

And he links it directly to Stormy's legal battle.

"These monies may have reimbursed the $130k payment."

In other words, he is saying that Russia itself put forward the money to silence Stormy ... but only after funneling it through Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

So, what Avenatti is specifically claiming is that Michael Cohen, Trump's personal attorney, received $500,000 from a company controlled by a Russian oligarch.

That money was then apparently deposited into an account that was used to pay Stormy Daniels her hush money.

While there are other deposits that Avenatti finds suspicious, from state-run Korea Aerospace Industries to Novartis to AT&T, the Stormy revelation is getting the most attention.

A lot of people are shocked and even amused that Cohen seems to have used the same account for all of this.

But the accusation -- of knowingly using foreign funds to influence American politics -- is no laughing matter.

Avenatti looks vindicated and resolute, but not amused.

This is huge, for multiple reasons.

See, while the Stormy Daniels sex scandal has left many of Trump's critics feeling as entertained as Ivanka's neighbor watching an LGBT protest in front of the First Daughter's house ... it's had others worried.

What, they wondered, if this whole Stormy Daniels thing were just a distraction?

This has been a concern about a large number of things, from Trump's outlandish Twitter rants to numerous other scandals in the Trump White House.
Others have countered, essentially saying that Trump isn't clever enough to elaborately plot these things and that he's just every bit the disaster that he seems to be.
But this claim is that the Stormy Daniels scandal intersects with the Trump campaign's collusion with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 Presidential elections.
Which would mean that this isn't a distraction or just another negative thing about Trump -- it might be the key to his undoing.
In Avenatti's words: "This thing's ugly and it's gonna get worse."
But ... will Michael Cohen flip on Trump's involvement?

He has recently said that he loves his family and puts them first, and that this investigation and scandal has been making their lives miserable.
We hope that he will do the right thing and tell the truth, whatever that may be.
He is doubtless feeling a lot of pressure from multiple political forces.
He may also fear that he will go to prison if he confesses to any crimes -- sometimes, even cutting a deal with the prosecution means spending time behind bars.
But telling the truth would have to be the right thing, right? Whether or not he would be revealing what so many hope or fear he will say.
For now, however, Cohen has claimed that "his document is inaccurate."
Cohen's attorney asserted "This is not a payment."
Stormy is still not the only part of this story raising eyebrows.
It is worth noting that AT&T says that their donation was for "insights" into the Trump administration.
Of course, these donations began after Trump spoke against a merger that AT&T had been working on. Trump has not commented publicly on that merger since.
AT&T is also one of the massive companies expected to benefit from the tragic downfall of Net Neutrality, which Trump has set into motion.
Some believe that AT&T essentially paid bribes to -- or through -- Cohen in order to promote their business interests over the will of the American people.
AT&T is sure to continue to object to that characterization.
Still, there's no part of this story more explosive than the alleged affair with and then silencing of Stormy herself.
Perhaps it only makes sense that a reality star president should be undone by a porn star.

Taylor Swift Hurls Shade at Kim Kardashian, Sends Positive Message to Fans

Taylor Swift Hurls Shade at Kim Kardashian, Sends Positive Message to Fans
Taylor Swift is back, folks.
In every sense of the word.
The singer kicked off her Reputation Tour on Tuesday night in Phoenix, meaning she's back in the music business.
But she's also back in the celebrity gossip realm, as Katy Perry actually reached out to Swift earlier this week, sending her a literal olive branch and ending their feud.
However, while this rivalry appears to be dead, the bad blood (get it?!?) between Swift and Kim Kardashian remains.[Image: taylor-dances.jpg]
As we're sure you recall, Kardashian and Kanye West exposed Swift as at least somewhat of a liar about two years ago, posting a phone conversation between Taylor and Kanye in which the former was caught in a fib.
She granted West permission to sort of mock her in his track "Famous," despite protesting this mockery in public after the song came out.
At one point in her passive aggressive takedown of Swift, Kardashian described the artist with a snake emoji.
Since then, Swift has adopted the snake emoji as her own, using it to fight back against all haters.
And this brings us to the opening night of her new tour.
Aside from decorating the stage with various types of snakes, Swift sat at her piano prior to singing a song and said the following to attendees:
"A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on. Then a lot of people were calling me a lot of things on social media and I went through some really low times for a while because of it.
"I went through some times when I didn't know if I was going to get to do this anymore."
Swift never said Kardashian's name, but she did continue as follows:
I wanted to send a message to you guys, that if someone uses name calling to bully you on social media, and even if a lot of people jump on board with it, that doesn't have to defeat you.
It can strengthen you instead.
And I think something that came out of it that was good is that I learned a really important lesson that I've been telling you from the stage for about 10 years, but I never had to learn it so harshly myself, and that lesson has to do with how much you value your reputation.
I think the lesson is that you shouldn't care so much if you feel misunderstood by a lot of people who don't know you, as long as you feel understood by the people who do know you, the people who will show up for you, the people who see you as a human being.
So thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to get to know me, for seeing me as a human being.

Brad Pitt is Allegedly Shooting His Wad Everywhere!

Brad Pitt is Allegedly Shooting His Wad Everywhere!
According to two new tabloid cover stories, Brad Pitt recently got one woman pregnant and is on the verge of doing the same to another woman.
He seemingly has the hardest working sperm in show business.

First, according to Star Magazine, Pitt knocked up a "secret lover" who he met at an art exhibit earlier this year. She's in her 20s, the magazine writes and... that's about it.

It has simply published the cover below, replete with an amazing Photoshopped image of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston and the allegation that there's some "DNA test" out there that proves this pregnancy is legitimate.

"This will be an absolute nightmare for Brad if her claims are true," an anonymous source says, adding:

"After all the drama he’s been through over the past two years, he’s desperate to keep his life as trouble- and scandal-free as possible."

Well, yeah. That makes sense to us.

Pitt, of course, is the father of six kids, all with Jolie.

And his ex-wife is “absolutely furious” about the situation, says this insider, describing it as causing “total chaos” in their ongoing custody negotiations.

“She must suspect that the woman is genuine or should wouldn’t be raging at Brad this way,” reads the article.

“Up until now, it’s just been all about their six kids. How he’s going to explain this to them is anyone’s guess.”

Previously, we heard that Jolie was also angry about Pitt supposedly dating Neri Oxman.

But do you know who else must be peeved that Pitt has reportedly impregnated some random young woman?

Aniston... considering she may also want to have a baby with the actor!

It's almost definitely not true, based on the latest In Touch Weekly cover:

[Image: brad-pitt-and-jennifer-aniston-baby-alert.png]

Jen & Brad: Let’s Have A Baby! the cover screams, following up on a myriad of rumors that insist Pitt and Aniston are back together.

You knew these articles would start coming out as soon as Aniston announced her divorce from Justin Theroux.

But the level to which many of these tabloids have sunk in their so-called reporting is rather sad and hilarious.

In this case, some insider claims that Aniston is "more determined than ever to have a baby” and “pals believe it will happen now that” Pitt is “back in her life.”

Says one friend who we're certain absolutely exists:

“It’s like destiny brought them together, and I can definitely see them having a child together.”

[Image: brad-pitt-and-jennifer-aniston-married-again.jpg]

Of course, they didn't have a child when they were married.

And Aniston didn't have a child with Theroux.

But, hey, whatever: this is destiny and it's totally easy to see her becoming a first-time mother at age 49.

“He and Jen have talked about moving in together and giving this another try," alleges another source, mentioning the use of IVF and concluding:

"This could all lead to her finally having his baby.”

FINALLY is right!

We've just been waiting forever for Jennifer to become a mother and we think it's sort of selfish of her to not have done so already.

While we're mostly just making fun of these reports in this post, Aniston turned serious last August, understandably reacting in anger to constant talk about the state of her womb.

"We are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child," Aniston said, responding to years of chatter about whether she'll have a baby.

She added:

"We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone...

"Nobody's right to judge someone else's choices. No one knows what's going on beyond the four walls of your home, of these people who are having or not having children...

"Everybody likes to get into each other's panty drawers. Stay in your own backyard and let everybody live their lives."

Seriously, just look down below.

Look at ALL the times tabloids have erroneously claimed that Aniston was pregnant. When will enough be enough?

Vanessa Trump Cheated on Her Gang-Banger Boyfriend With Leonardo DiCaprio, Is Apparen

Vanessa Trump Cheated on Her Gang-Banger Boyfriend With Leonardo DiCaprio, Is Apparently Awesome

With the exception of Tiffany Trump - who we're guessing was shipped off to begin life anew in a Moscow slum, a la Martha on The Americans - just about every member of the president's extended family has spent the past two years under intense scrutiny.
Vanessa Trump has been of particular interest to the press in recent months, thanks to her increasingly contentious divorce from Donald Trump Jr.

Several Washington insiders have publicly praised the mother of five for reading the writing on the wall and jumping ship before the entire administration capsizes.

So what is it that makes this 40-year-old former model and child of privilege so much savvier than all the other Trump hangers-on?

Well, according to a new report from Page Six, Vanessa is no stranger to criminal enterprises.

An ex-con and former inmate of the Latin Kings street gang named Valentin Rivera has come forward to tell the tale of his five-year romance with Don Jr.'s bride.

He says the two of them met in grade school and reconnected while she was attending a $47,000-a-year prep school in Manhattan.

She was fascinated. We were kids. She liked the street life at the time," Rivera told Page Six.

Yes, it was a regular reverse-West Side Story, and Valentin had just met a girl named Vanessa.

Unfortunately, their relationship faced a major stumbling block when he was imprisoned for assault, first doing time at Rikers Island, then at a prison upstate.

"She was heartbroken that I was being taken away,” he said.

“The first time [she came to visit], she was upset — she cried a little bit — but after a while, we get used to things. She only came to visit me twice because her mother forbid her from coming to visit me.”

I came home from juvie, then I met her again," he said.

According to Rivera, he and Vanessa were more than just lovers - they were business partners.

Together, they would drive around in cars owned by her father - high-powered attorney Charles Haydon - delivering weed with a trunk full of unregistered weapons.

“If we got pulled over, the police would just let us go,” he said.

“She’ll give up Charles’s information. Car’s registered to Charles Haydon. They’ll just cut us loose.”

Unfortunately, this whirlwind romance came to an abrupt end when Rivera picked up a copy of the New York Post and read that Vanessa - now a 20-year-old model - was hooking up with Leonardo DiCaprio.

“She got into a couple of little catfights,” Rivera told the outlet.

“She was pretty jealous,” he said, “as far as other girls and stuff, she let it be known that I was her man.”

This is apparently a tendency that stuck with Vanessa into adulthood.

As Page Six points out, singer Aubrey O'Day says that when she was caught cheating with Don Jr., Vanessa "went a little gangster" on her.

“DiCaprio’s luscious love is 20-year-old fashion model Vanessa Haydon. The passionate pair have been inseparable over the past two weeks," reads the article from May 1, 1998.

I don’t think it’s a fling,” a source told the paper.

Needless to say, the DiCaprio romance didn't last.

The important takeaway from all of this is that Vanessa Trump used to drive around delivering drugs and illegal guns for fun, but even she drew the line at whatever Don Jr.'s messed up in.

That seems like the kind of evidence Robert Mueller could present to a grand jury and just be like, "C'mon. Gimme the indictment."

Johnny Depp Accused of Drunkenly Attacking Crew Member on Film Set

Johnny Depp Accused of Drunkenly Attacking Crew Member on Film Set
It wasn't all that long ago that Johnny Depp was one of the most beloved and sought-after talents in Hollywood.
But those days have been washed away in a tidal wave of bad press and enough rum to keep the Black Pearl afloat.

At this point in his career, Depp is at best a walking punchline and at worst a menacing threat to loved ones and co-workers.

And lately, the public image so carefully constructed by his many handlers has been crumbling faster than ever, in large part because the managers, agents, and security guards who have served as the living barrier between Depp and the press have been abandoning their posts in fear for their professional reputations - and in some cases, their lives.

Just last week, several bodyguards filed suit against Depp claiming that he created a "toxic and unsafe" work environment in which hard drug use and reckless misuse of firearms were daily occurrences.

(Someone should tell Johnny he can stop studying up for that Hunter S. Thompson role anytime now.)

And because Depp's specialty these days is finding new rock bottoms, this week brought news of yet another violent incident:

While filming the movie LAbyrinth in Los Angeles, Depp decided to take over directing a scene set on an actual city street, even going so far as to cast two of his friends in significant roles.

It went about as well as you would expect:

"Johnny’s friends were in the scene, and it just turned into way more than it should have been,” a production insider on set tells Page Six.

Sources say the day went long, and the shooting permit expired, but Depp refused to stop filming.

When a location manager informed director Brad Furman that the scene needed to wrap immediately, Furman responded, "Tell that to Johnny Depp!”

One crew member decided to do exactly that, approaching Depp and telling him plainly, "This is the last shot."

At that point, Depp - who, according to the witness, had been “smoking and drinking all day on set” - became irate and started shouting at the crew member.

“He was 6 inches away, yelling, ‘Who are you? You have no right!’” he yelled.

When the crew member calmly attempted to defuse the situation, Depp reportedly swung on him, landing a "weak blow" to the ribs that had little effect.

But Depp didn't stop there, of course.

He allegedly continued to berate the crew member and challenge him to fisticuffs, at one point bellowing, “I’ll give you $100,000 to punch me right now!”

Depp's camp has yet to comment on the situation, but Furman has come to his defense:

“Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists,” he said in a statement issued today.

“He always treats the crew and people around him with the utmost respect. Movies can be stressful, and nonevents often become exaggerated. We all love stories — there isn’t one here.”

This is just the latest in a long line of professional entanglements for Depp who's currently being sued by his former management team after alleging that the group brought him to the brink of bankruptcy.

The firm says Depp's financial issues have more to do with his $30,000 a month wine habit.

We're no legal experts but that sounds like a solid argument.

Meghan Markle: In Danger Due to "Extreme" Wedding Diet!!
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Gimbiya - 05-10-2018, 01:07 PM - No Replies

We hate to be the bearer of terrible news, but...
... there may not be a Royal Wedding on May 19.

Because there's trouble brewing between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? Because the former's alleged issues with her family have caused the couple to rethink their plans?

No and no.

It's because there may not be a bride with whom Harry can exchange vows on that date.

Not if Markle keeps crash dieting in the way outlined by Radar Online, which claims that Megan is simply wasting away at the moment.

Oh no!

According to a source who spoke to this website on the condition of anonymity because he or she likely does not exist, Markle has lost 23 pounds in just two weeks.

That's the sort of result that would make Kim Kardashian jealous, but it's also the sort of result that has Harry concerned.

It's just not normal; or, more importantly, it's just not healthy.

Says the aforementioned insider:

"She’s totally avoiding carbs and has cut out wine completely.”

This sounds both dangerous and very distasteful.

Ice cubes are fantastic for helping one cool down a drink, but they don't come close to representing a full meal. Or even an appetizer. Or a snack.

"Meghan is also working with a personal trailer, running and doing Yoga as often as she can," Radar writes.

Can't she at the very least enjoy a cheat day on occasion? This is supposedly what Harry frequently asks his fiancee, bus she responds that any and all dietary cheating can wait until the honeymoon.

(In between sessions of boning, we guess. Ohhh yeeeah!)
Look, we can't imagine the pressure Markle is under these days.
She's about to get married in front of a global audience that could climb into the hundreds of millions.
It therefore makes sense that she wants to look her best and it even makes sense that she's been encouraging Harry to shed a few pounds.
The former Suits star certainly is not the first woman striving to drop some weight in time for her wedding.
But you need to be responsible in how you approach this task.
Previously, we had reported on Markle letting the nuptials pressure get to her by becoming somewhat of a bridezilla.
“Meghan’s driving everyone crazy with her diva demands,” an insider told Life & Style a few weeks back, adding of the bride-to-be:
“She’s a perfectionist, and she’s trying to control everything going on around her.”
That's fair. And it's not placing her health in any sort of danger.
Overall, though, it's pretty clear that Markle really needs to get this wedding over with, for the sake of her mental and physical health.
She needs to say "I Do," enjoy the reception and tha attention that follows -- and then jet off to that honeymoon to take advantage of the aforementioned eating and boning.

Angel Parrish From My 600-lb Life: See Her Insane Transformation!
User Avatar Forum: TV
Posted by: Gimbiya - 05-10-2018, 12:55 PM - No Replies

Not every reality star gets a happy ending, and that is certainly true for those who appear on My 600-lb Life. Sometimes people concern fans with behavior that has nothing to do with their weight.
But sometimes, people really do dramatically transform their bodies. And that is clearly the case for
She is absolutely unrecognizable.

At her largest, Angel Parrish weighed 570 pounds.

Her backstory was heartbreaking, and not simply because of her size.

Angel revealed that she had begun to accumulate weight after having been forced to surrender her baby for adoption at the age of 14.

It seems clear that there is more in her youth than the emotional loss of her adoption that filled her with a deep and lingering sadness.

Like so many, she used food as a coping mechanism. Over time, and combined with genetic and environmental factors, she increased in size.

Fans last saw or heard from Angel Parrish in 2016, but she remained in the thoughts of many.

She had dropped her weight all of the way down to 230 pounds thanks to weight loss surgery.

But she has spent years in silence on social media.

Now, however, she has reappeared in a single photo.

When we say that she is unrecognizable, we are not exaggerating.

Take a look:

This is such a dramatic body transformation.

But we have to remember that, since we last saw her in 2016, Angel has had a lot of time to lose further weight and to adjust to her new figure.

Beyond that, the shock that fans may experience at seeing the photo -- a sort of mild mental whiplash -- comes from the total radio silence before this.

You don't always notice weight loss when you see it happening at an imperceptible rate every day or every week.

After two years, the difference is staggering.

We do not, however, know her new weight.

But if we were to guess, it sure seems that her weight is now below 230.

Congratulations are definitely in order.

There is more to dramatic weight loss like this than simply undergoing surgery with Dr. Now.

(Dr. Nowzaradan has a clinic in Houston that is featured on My 600-lb Life)
Weight loss in this manner, when the volume of the stomach is artificially reduced to limit how much food can be consumed at a time, is only part of the equation.
And it is agonizing -- the human body excels at storing energy, and people who suddenly begin consuming less food on a daily basis feel as though they are starving.
Even with all of that, regulating what she eats and when she eats it, coupled with exercise, would also be vital for Angel to be a success story.
Judging from the new photo, we would guess that she also had some excess skin surgically removed. That is often necessary for people who have undergone massive weight loss.
Angel's dramatic reveal may put to shame even Amber Rachdi's insane transformation.
But it is not a competition, folks. This is about people who choose to change the shape and weight of their bodies getting the opportunity to do so with assistance and guidance and with the support of fans.
Not every story ends happily. Some have health complications from their initial weight or even their sudden weight loss.
Others have underlying problems that may have led to weight gain but continue to plague them even as they transform their bodies.
We are so glad to see that Angel is doing so well.

Ghanaian Students Attack Teachers For Not Allowing Them Cheat In WASSCE
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 05-10-2018, 12:54 PM - No Replies

The final year students of Zabzugu Senior High School in the Zabzugu District, Ghana, have attacked their teachers with stones and other dangerous weapons for not allowing them to cheat in their final year examination.

According to Adomonline, the angry students vandalised school properties, smatched doors, television sets, and windows. They said it was their right to copy or send texts books into the examination hall.

A student who did not want his name mentioned said, “Even though they did not have any pact with their teachers to allow them to cheat, they were reliably informed that teachers from other schools aid their students by allowing them to copy.”

A terrified teacher of the school while confirming the attack said the only crime they (teachers) committed was not allowing the students to copy during the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. He added that he was only alive because he didn’t take refuge in his house because the students went to his house with stones.

He said, “The students felt they had a right to send their notebooks and textbooks to the examination hall, a right they the teachers are yet to come across in any of the examination regulations.

“As a result, the students mobilized themselves and stormed the school, vandalizing properties and threatening to kill any teacher they came across.”

The teachers have therefore vowed not to supervise or invigilate the rest of the exams unless heavy security was provided.

But the District Chief Executive of Zabzugu Hon. Iddi Ahmed is has called on authorities to ensure that the problem between the students and the teachers is resolved.

All hell broke loose at a wedding when it was discovered that the groom slept with one of the bridesmaids.

In a video trending online, smartly-dressed men are seen swinging and kicking at each other. One man became unconscious after he was thrown to the floor and kicked several times. But the fight continued in spite of his state.

The men took the fight to another section and broke off into groups as they fought, while a few concerned wedding guests surrounded the unconscious man.

Teairra Mari Sex Tape Appears On Instagram: Is She a Victim of Revenge Porn?

Teairra Mari Sex Tape Appears On Instagram: Is She a Victim of Revenge Porn?
As a singer, actress, and former star of both Love & Hip-Hop: New York and Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood, Teairra Mari has developed quite an impressive resume.
Unfortunately, it wasn't her professional achievements that made her a trending topic on Twitter today.

Mari's Instagram followers were stunned this afternoon when a number of very explicit video and several intimate photos appeared on her page.

The content was quickly deleted, but sadly, the damage had already been done.

Several media outlets reposted the images and video, and as of this writing, more than 15,000 people have tweeted about the situation.

Sadly, Mari's story is one we see all too often these days.

Yes, it seems that like Blac Chyna and so many others before her, the 30-year-old was victimized as part of jealous ex's quest for revenge.

The alleged culprit is Mari's former boyfriend Akbar Abdul.

Though Mari did not call Abdul out by name, she did post a lengthy statement to Instagram indicating that she has identified the person who hacked into her account.

The statement reads as follows:

"Recently, my social media was compromised by someone who I thought was deserving of my love and trust.

"That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred.

"Moving forward, I recognize the need to be more private and discerning.

"My hope is for women to remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile by former lovers who find it difficult to act in an adult manner."

Mari added:

"Revenge Porn is a crime in California and I will be in pursuit of justice."

Prior to her relationship with Akbar, Mari dated Ray J, the singer perhaps best known for his relationship with Kim Kardashian.

Clearly, if Abdul believed he was going to become a famous sex tape star in his own right, he was sorely mistaken.

Here's hoping justice is served swiftly.
