Leader of a leading Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to, without further delay, break the country into its original units if he does not want to restructure.

Adebanjo told the Sun that anarchy looms in the country.

He emphasized that the constitution foisted on the people had been the cause of the nation’s problems.

The elder statesman said that Nigeria should be broken so that each group goes to its place and enjoy peace.

According to him, there has been disobedience to rule and illegal detention of persons who speak out against the government of the day.

“When a court gives an instruction, and you don’t obey; when you ask people to be detained without trial, you obstruct the rule of law? That is unfortunate,” Adebanjo said.

“We are moving towards anarchy, except we want to deceive ourselves. The court that is supposed to be the sanctuary of the common man has been desecrated, and yet the people who should protest keep quiet. We are already in anarchy.

“Have I not been vindicated? I have not changed from that position at all. Anarchy has taken over in this country.

“We must return the country to true federalism, where the regions should be autonomous, and let everybody be ruled according to the dictate of his place, then, this culture of autocracy and authority over everybody would be stopped.

“It is because of this culture of autocracy that the president doesn’t want to do anything to change the constitution.

“Since the president doesn’t want to go back to a constitution we agreed on at independence, it is better everybody goes to his area and enjoy peace.

“I have said it and I have challenged him and he has not denied, and I said why should he hesitate to go back to the constitution we had at independence, which was approved by Azikiwe, Awolowo and Sardauna, and I said, he can never be more intelligent, more educated than Sardauna, and he has not told us why he would not go back to that constitution.

“So, what is the problem, if he is serious about keeping this country together in unity, in peace? Let’s restructure and go back to true federalism and every other thing is just going round the clock.

“That is where I am; that since it has turned this way, let this country break and let everybody go to his place and have peace.

“I have told the president to go back to the interview I had with Vanguard before he was elected and I have been vindicated in all that I said in the interview.”

$81.274bn debt: Nigeria faces impending bankruptcy – Obasanjo warns

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has said Nigeria faces the risk of impending bankruptcy, over the continuous accumulation of debt by the government.
Obasanjo stated this while speaking as a keynote speaker at the ‘Why I am Alive’ campaign on Friday in Lagos.

According to him, the piling up debts would leave a burden for future generations, who would have to pay such loans.



Obasanjo said as at 2015, Nigeria’s total external debt was about $10.32bn. By March 2019, he claimed the country’s external debt had increased to $81.274bn.

“Such a situation talks about an impending bankruptcy. No entity can survive while devoting 50 per cent of its revenue to debt servicing.

“It has recently been pointed out that in 2018 that total debt servicing took over 60 per cent of government revenue.



“What’s more, we are not doing enough to address the fundamental, deep-seated and structural challenges that inhibit the expansion of our economy,” Obasanjo said.


Obasanjo added that to worsen matters, the current administration was currently seeking to add another $29.6bn loan to “our already overburdened debt portfolio.”

Kwara State government takes over land belonging to ex-Senate President, Bukola Saraki's late father






The Kwara State Government has taken over a piece of land owned by the Saraki Family in Ilorin saying it will be used for a new secretariat for civil servants.
 
Chief Press Secretary to Kwara Governor, Rafiu Ajakaiye announced the decision Friday, December 27th saying the land was originally meant for Government Secretariat and parking space of the Civil Service Clinic, but was unlawfully allocated to a private firm, Asa Investments Limited, without any record of payment to the state government.  
 
Part of the land, situated beside the Civil Service Clinic, is also right in front of late Dr Olusola Saraki’s residence. The senior Saraki built a house and named it ‘Ile Arugbo’ (elderly peoples’ home).
 
According to the statement, no certificate of occupancy was issued in favour of Asa Investments Limited. The statement explained that the government has now made provisions for the secretariat in the 2020 budget, although its construction will spill over to 2021.

A female patient was caught on CCTV stealing a doctor’s phone at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
 
Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Prof. Darlington Obaseki who narrated the incident at the end of the year/curtail party organized by the management of the Hospital for its staff on Thursday December 26, said the patient was confronted after she returned to the medical facility to continue her treatment.

Teenager kills 'paedophile priest who abused him' by ramming a crucifix down his throat







A teenager has been arrested for brutally killing a suspected paedophile priest. 
 
19-year -old Alexandre V., who is alleged to have been abused by the priest, rammed a crucifix down the throat of 91-year-old Catholic priest Roger Matassoli before suffocating him to death at his home in Agnetz, Oise, northern France.
 
Police who were called to the scene found the lifeless body of the priest with signs of torture on his body and appearing to have suffered asphyxiation at his home on November 4.
 
According to Mail Online, Alexandre V. was arrested as he tried to escape in the father's car and has since been charged with torture, murder, and resisting arrest. Alexandre V is currently being held at the hospital due to psychiatric problems.
 
Before the brutal killing, the clergyman had been accused of sexually abusing at least four boys, including Alexandre and his father, between 1960 and 2000.
 
After a series of allegations were made against Fr.Roger Matassoli, he was transferred from the diocese of Clermont in 1967, and the diocese of Saint-Andre-Farivillers in 1984 before he was taken to Agnetz.
 
It was also reported that the suspect's father Stephane's killed himself when he learned about the abuse, and Alexandre also attempted to kill himself following the abuse.
 
French authorites are now expected to investigate the case based on the hypothesis that this was an act of revenge because Alexandre has repeatedly told investigators that he has no recollection of the events.

Hajia Hauwa Garba, a Yola-based rights activist, who is working on the case under her organisation, Equal Access, told our correspondent via a telephone conversation that the teenager had been admitted at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola.

“I’m just coming from the Federal Medical Centre (Yola) where the girl has been admitted,” Hauwa said.

She said the girl had been abandoned by the roadside leading to Jimeta Central Eid Mosque, Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Thursday evening.

Hauwa added that the Jimeta Police Division, situated not far from where the teenager was found, took her to the Sexual Assault Centre at the Adamawa Specialist Hospital, from where she was referred to the FMC.

She revealed that the 15-year-old is an older cousin of the five-year-old who was defiled in August and still on admission at the FMC Yola.

“What has just occurred is a very sad reminder of a case that is months old but is still fresh. This girl is now on admission at the same FMC where her younger cousin has been since August,” Hauwa said..

The five-year-old had been defiled, in the Jambutu area of the same Jimeta in August this year by one 16-year-old Adamu Abdulahi.

The injury that he caused her has necessitated four surgeries in the course of the four months since August, and the minor remains in hospital.

Shedding further light on the double incidents, the Public Relations Officer of the FMC Yola, Adamu Mohammed, said the father of the five-year-old is an unce to the 15-year-old.

“The mother of the 15-year-old was the one who brought the five-year-old to the hospital that time before her own mother could be reached,” Mohammed recalled.

Speaking on the latest incident, Mohammed said the survivor was taken to the health facility unconscious and bleeding after she was said to have been brought out of a vehicle which drove off.

He said the 15-year- old survivor has regained consciousness, having been stabilised by doctors, and has disclosed that while she was going back home, following through the shortcut road she was used to, between Central Primary School and the former Nitel, some metres from where they later returned her unconscious, three thugs in a vehicle suddenly stopped by her, insisting that they would take her home.

“I declined their offer. I told them that I would not be helped by strange people. They told me that they knew my uncle as well as our home and that I should not be afraid.

“When I refused, they forced me into their vehicle and covered my nose and mouth with a handkerchief on which they probably applied something,” the teenager said.

She added that the next thing was finding herself on the hospital bed with pains below her abdomen.

DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the Police spokesman in Adamawa State, was unavailable for comment as he was yet to pick his calls by press time.

A lady identified as Joy Osain reportedly committed suicide on Boxing Day in Agbura community of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. 
 
The deceased who got into a fight with her boyfriend, Augustus Eze after she caught him with another lady when she visited his house on the day of the incident, allegedly vowed to kill herself rather than sit back and watch another lady snatch her man from her. 
 

 
It was gathered that Joy fulfilled her threat by taking a poisonous substance that killed her. While her corpse has been recovered by the police and deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa for autopsy,  Eze’s house was destroyed by angry members of Joy's family.
 
The deceased's boyfriend is currently being detained and questioned by the police. 
 

 
Recounting how the incident occurred, an eyewitness said; 
 

Quote: ”The girl was an indigene of Agbura while the guy is from Azikoro community both in Yenagoa LGA. She was a fruit seller at Azikoro.
“Her boyfriend avoided her on Christmas day. She went to wait in front of his door on 26th of December but saw another girl in his house.
“She became angry and fought with him. He allegedly beat her. But the girl kept saying she would not be alive and watch another girl take her man. We didn’t know she meant it. She was said to have gulped sniper and died”.

You have to learn to keep record of what you say to the Lord in prayer; be specific. If there’re things you’re concerned about that you’d like to pray about, write them or make a mental note of them when you pray. Then as you pray, receive.

What God wants is that you express your faith in specific terms. Faith makes you a possessor. When you have made your definite request of the Lord, rejoice and give Him glory, knowing that it’s done.

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24).

In the video, the girl is seen bleeding from her lip and from the back of her head.
 
When asked, she revealed her madam allegedly hit her with her shoes because pap meant for feeding her children had finished.
 
Twitter users have expressed outrage and are asking that the abusive madam be found and prosecuted for child abuse.

A Nigerian woman identified as Funmilayo Samson, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police command for allegedly subjecting her step-children to abuses and turning some of them into sex slaves. 
 
Funmilayo, said to be a resident of No 22 Ebuwawa Road, Agbede, Baba-Alagbo Junction after baba welder bustop in Ikorodu, was reportedly brought in as a househelp to take care of the kids but ended up marrying their father after their mother died. 
 
She was accused of "beating the kids, locking them inside the toilet, locking them outside the house in hot sun and under the rain, piercing their body with blade at slight provocation, putting pepper (dry or cooked) inside their eyes, leaving marks and bruises all over their body, starving and denying them of food, fighting and taking those who give the children food or money as enemies". 
 
The lady was also accused of bringing in commercial motorcyclists to have sex with the kids when their father is not at home.

Her case has been reported to the police and the Lagos State neibourhood also knows of this without anything being done about it. She claim she beat her husband's children and that does not concern anyone.

Journalist, Kiki Mordi, has said it is a shame that same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria.
 
In 2014, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, signed the anti-same sex bill into law, banning all forms of gay associations or marriage. The law places a 14-year jail term for any offender. 
 
Kiki who came to limelight following her Sex for Grades documentary released a few months ago, stated that Nigeria is on the wrong side of history for banning same-sex marriages.

Speaking at the event, Mohammad Jaji-Dole, the council chairman, cautioned the beneficiaries against mishandling the animals.

He also encouraged them to be ready to pay back the loan with three goats within 18 months so that other women could benefit from the programme.

Catholic priest replies MFM general overseer after he said Christmas is “unbiblical”






A Catholic priest has responded to the MFM general overseer, Daniel Olukoya, after the latter said Christmas is “unbiblical”.
 
Olukoya said the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) does not participate in the celebration of Christmas because no book in the bible recorded the word "Christmas" or that Jesus was born on December 25.
 
He added that December 25 is a date originally set aside by the ancient Romans for the Mars festival by the worshippers of the sun. Olukoya said the birth of Christ was subsequently co-opted into the same date to give the Mars festival more popularity and then renamed "Christmas".
 
He warned modern Christians to stop promoting such an "unbiblical" celebration. 
 
Responding to Olukoya, Catholic priest, Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma, explained why Christians all over the world celebrate Jesus on the 25th of December.
 
 In a Facebook post titled Where Is It In The Bible?, the priest explained that there are many practices in Christianity which were not recorded in the Bible.
 
Oluoma stated that there are many other festivities such as Mother’s Day, cross over vigils, etc. that Christians engage in but are not in the Bible. He added that the scripture is not against their celebration.
 
Oluoma said: "Easter as a term is not in the Bible but we celebrate easter because it’s an event and a mystery recorded in scripture. Same with Christmas, it’s not the term or calendar date we celebrate but the event and mystery,"
 
Oluoma also mentioned that there are many things Christians do that are not in the Bible and "God isn’t angry at all". He added that such practices as December 31st cross over vigil, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries are also not in the Bible.

A woman has been accused of defacing her brother's maid's face with a hot iron.
 
According to a post shared on Facebook by women and child's rights activist Tobore Anne, a woman named Udeme Livinus, who lives with her brother, had a fight with her brother's maid, Favour, so she burnt Favour's face with a hot iron.
 
The abuse reportedly happened on December 23 in their apartment in Owerri.
 
The report sent to Tobore reads: "Good evening ma, please help me post. Justice must be done, see what this wicked lady did to her brothers house help on 23rd December.
 
"Udeme is a full grown lady staying in her brother's apartment in Owerri. Favour is a girl helping Udeme's brother and the wife out.
 
"Udeme came back home one evening around 10 pm and was knocking on the door but everyone was fast at sleep. Later, Favour came out and opened the door for her. Udeme started beating Favour. Both of them fought, after that, Udeme started planning evil against Favour.
 
"On 23rd December 2:45 am, Udeme heat an electric Iron, moved to Favour's room, destroyed Favour's face with the iron and ran away. Please let's share until Favour gets justice."

15 killed after Plane carrying 98 people crashes on takeoff from Kazakhstan airport (photos/video)









At least 15 people have died with many injured after a Plane carrying 98 people including five crew members crashed during takeoff from an airport in Kazakhstan on Friday, December 27. 
 
About 66 onboard the Bek Air plane with flight number Z92100 survived the crash with injuries, 50 of whom were hospitalized, the AP reported. Twenty-two of those were in "extremely severe" condition, airport officials said.
 

 
The aircraft which was heading to Nur-Sultan on a pre-dawn flight from Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city "lost altitude during takeoff and broke through a concrete fence" before hitting a two-storey building, Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee said.
 
A survivor told News website Tengrinews she heard a “terrifying sound” before the plane started losing altitude.
 

 
“The plane was flying with a tilt. Everything was like in a movie: screaming, shouting, people crying,” she said.
 
Another survivor, Aslan Nazaraliyev, a businessman, told the Vremya newspaper the plane started shaking while gaining altitude about two minutes after takeoff.
 
“At some point we started falling, not vertically, but at an angle. It seemed like control over the plane was lost,” he said

A 15 foot scrub python has attacked a four-year-old boy in north Queensland.

He said screams of his son alerted him when the snake latched on to his son's leg.

The brave father has told of the terrifying moment he saved his four-year-old son from a 15ft scrub python by killing it with a sledgehammer.

Mr Thompson saw the snake with its jaws locked around his son as it tried to drag the terrified youngster away.

Recalling the ordeal, he said: 'Clifford was holding onto the side of the boardwalk and it was pulling him, literally, pulling him under into the bush.

'I ran straight up and punched it at that stage and it let go.

'But as soon as I let go, it curled right back up and bit him again.

So I grabbed it, pretty much, as hard as I could and just bent it back to get it off him out.

He added: 'That thing wasn't going to let go, it wanted to eat my child.'

Mr Thompson told how he then resorted to punching the snake in the head.

He said: 'I punched it in his head and it let go, but within a second or two, it bit him again on the upper right leg, a bit higher than where it got him initially, and it started pulling him off the boardwalk into the bush where it properly would have liked to wrap him up.

'At that stage, it was dragging him backwards and I could see what happened to his leg and it was starting to open him up, and then I knew it just wasn't going to let go, it was too strong, and that's when I grabbed it and grabbed its jaw and try to pry open as hard as I could.'

Mr Thompson said his son managed to get away but the beast came back and tried to grab him again.

He said: 'Luckily he got his leg out and he ran up to the gate on the boardwalk trying to get away, and that was great, but as the snake fell back down in the garden, it just slivered straight back on this side and tried to get at him.'

It was later killed with sledgehammer.

Clifford was rushed to Mackay Hospital.

The injuries the young boy sustained from the snake attack in Airlie Beach.

Two dead, four injured in Ogun road crash

Two persons have been confirmed dead by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in accident that occurred on Thursday along Atan-Idiroko international corridor.


The FRSC added that four other persons sustained injuries in the road crash which happened about 1220hrs around NASFAT, in Idiroko.

According to a statement signed by the Ogun FRSC Public Education Officer, Route Commander Florence Okpe, on Friday, a total of two vehicles and one motorcycle were involved.



Okpe said seven persons were involved in Boxing Day accident.

DAILY POST learnt that the injured victims were rescued to Idiroko General Hospital for medical treatment, while the corpses of the dead victims were deposited at the Idiroko General Hospital Morgue.

According to Okpe, “the suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed that led to loss of control.”

“Any person doing anti-party activities, President Muhammadu Buhari has asked us to deal with them. We have been told to go back to organise our party; that’s why we are here. As a ruling party in the state, we have done a lot for Edo people, moving the state forward progressively but EPM are afraid of progress and will do anything to ensure we don’t get another term.”

Governor Obaseki said his administration is achieving a lot in agriculture in the state, as his government would soon commence work on Sobe-Sabogida-Ora road.

“Go to Sobe, we have just started harvesting corn. I have told the contractor to start work on the Sobe-Sabogida-Ora road. In that road alone, I want to do 5,000 hectares of cassava farm; I am a governor for development”.

He continued, “The support here today is massive and it speaks volume, further showing that the suspended National Chairman’s antics will not work. He no longer has the support of Edo people. The act of trying to create faction of APC in Edo State can’t work; we are still intact, strong and united. Our politics in Edo state is transparent and can’t tolerate any act of dubiousness. If you are a progressive, you must be a real Progressive.”

Chairman of Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Hon. Frank Ilaboya commended the governor for his developmental strides in the state, assuring that the people of Owan-West LGA will not negotiate his second term ambition.

Also, the LGA Chairman for Owan-East LGA, Hon. Andy Osegwue, said the people are behind Governor Obaseki because of his uncommon achievements in Edo State.

APC leader in Owan West LGA, Hon. One of UK’s most wanted man, Daniel Burdett, 28, arrested at a Dutch restaurant on Christmas Day






One of the UK’s most wanted men has been arrested as he sat down to eat his Christmas dinner in a restaurant in The Hague, Netherlands.  
 
Daniel Burdett, 28, from Liverpool, who has been on the run for five years, was detained on a European Arrest Warrant.
 
According to Mail Online, investigators suspect Burdett, also wanted by Merseyside Police for drugs offences, is the ringleader of a criminal gang believed to be using corrupt lorry drivers to smuggle firearms and ammunition from the Netherlands into the UK.  
 
He faces 10 charges of conspiracy to import firearms and conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs. One man has already been jailed for eight years in connection with this investigation and another is currently awaiting trial, the NCA spokesman said.  
 
Burdett is due to appear before Dutch magistrates who will consider extraditing him to the UK to face the charges.

Nigerian man, wife and 3 kids allegedly burnt beyond recognition in Christmas day accident






A ghastly motor accident which reportedly occurred on Wednesday December 25, claimed the lives of a Nigerian man, his wife and three kids. 
 
Samson Adetunji was travelling for the Christmas holiday with his wife, Opeyemi, their two sons and daughter when the tragic incident occurred. Eyewitnesses alleged that the family of five were burnt beyond recognition after their vehicle caught fire after crashing into an overhead bridge along Kubway way in Abuja. 
 
Facebook user, Prince Adesina who penned down a tribute to the late victims of the accident wrote;

Zamfara government bans selling of cattle without receipts and photos






The Zamfara State Government has announced a ban on selling of cows without receipts and photos. 
 
The state commissioner of security and home affairs, Abubakar Daura who made the announcement in Daura said the decision was taken to curb the rate at which stolen livestock are being sold at markets in the state. 
 
Recalling how five trailers loaded with cows and cattle stolen from Zamfara State was intercepted in Kaduna and Lagos state, Daura stated that security operatives in the state have been instructed to enforce the ban which includes verification of receipts and cows being conveyed and making sure both the buyer and seller take photos after the transaction has been concluded. 
 
He said;

RCCG pastor, son and daughter drown inside a pool in Spain (photos)






A 52-year-old pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Gabriel Diya, his 16-year-old son, Praise Emmanuel Diya and 9-year-old daughter, Comfort Diya, drowned inside the swimming pool in the Costa del Sol resort in Southern Spain on Tuesday December 24th.

Gabriel Diya who was until his death the Minister in charge of the Open Heavens of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Charlton, South-East London, was on a family vacation with his wife and their children. Unfortunately, his daughter Comfort got into difficulty while playing in one of the 21 swimming pools in the resort.

Himself and his son jumped in to try to save her but also struggled in the water. Despite poolside attempts to resuscitate them, all three died at the scene. His wife, Olubunmi, who was with them prayed fervently as CPR was performed on her husband and children. Sadly, they were all confirmed dead by the doctors. 

Post-mortem examinations carried out on Christmas Day confirmed death by drowning. After the incident, police carried out an investigation and could find nothing wrong with the pool’s filtration and pump system. The pool has since been reopened to the public.
 

The UK’s central office of RCCG has since described the unfortunate incident as a  “tragic accident”. In a post shared on Facebook, the church said

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly executed 11 captives, most of whom are Christians.

Ahmad Salkida, a journalist renowned for his monitoring of terrorism activities, reported the killings on Thursday.

DAILY POST had reported that the victims had appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to rescue them.

Salkida wrote: “The terrorist group claimed that they spared the lives of two persons that appeared in the earlier video, but did not give their names.


“However, a careful assessment of the video revealed that Suwaiba Kashimu from Nasarawa state, and one other male, were apparently not amongst those killed on Christmas.

“If this is the case, not all 11 of the victims are Christians as claimed by the group, there were three Muslims and 10 Christians that appeared in the capture video on the 17th December.



“ISWAP, however gave two reasons for the executions, “we killed them as a revenge for the killings of our leaders, including Abu bakr al-Baghdadi and Abul-Hasan Al-Muhajir in Iraq and Syria,” said a member of the group’s media unit.


“The decision to execute the captives was rather swift, abrupt and shocking. ISWAP had reportedly opened a window of negotiations ostensibly to exchange the freedom of the captives with those of its members in government custody but the Nigerian government failed to take the offer.”


Last Sunday, Boko Haram, at Burimari village between Monguno and Gajiram, mounted a road block where they killed and kidnapped some civilians.



A similar attack occurred at the Babbangida-Gashua-Damaturu axis when suspected fighters of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) attempted to infiltrate Damaturu, Yobe.

In reaction, UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday expressed solidarity with the Federal government and Nigerians over lastest killings and abductions.

Man beats wife to death on Christmas day in Ogun






The Ogun State police command has arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Mutiu Sonola, for beating his wife, Zainab Shotayo to death. 
 
Mutiu who kept hitting his wife over a minor issue till she slumped and slipped into a coma, reportedly fled the scene of the incident upon realizing she might die. 
 
The suspect was arrested by police detectives from Ibara Division of Ogun state Police Command, after Zainab was confirmed dead by a doctor after being rushed to State Hospital in Ijaiye by her father who was alerted by neighbours. 
 
Ogun State's Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the suspect's arrest said Mutiu will be transferred to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution as they await the autopsy report. 
 
He said;

“As soon as the suspect realised that the victim is dead, he took to his heels and on the strength of the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Ibara division, Dada Olusegun mobilized his detectives and went after the suspect.
“His hiding place was eventually located and he was promptly arrested.”

Governor Ganduje bans men and women from boarding same tricycle in Kano






Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Wednesday December 25, placed a ban on men and women boarding same tricycle in Kano State.
 
The Kano State Governor who was represented by Commander-General of Hisbah Board, Harun Ibn-Sina at the closing ceremony of 77th annual Islamic Vacation Course organised by Zone A of Muslim Society of Nigeria held at Bayero University, Kano, said the ban will be enforced from January 2020. 
 
It was further learnt that former governor of Kano, Ibrahim Shekarau introduced commercial tricycles popularly known as ‘A daidaita sahu’ as a means of transportation for women only after banning commercial motorcyclists from conveying women.

The 60-year-old suffered bleeding in the brain, according to the police report, and was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln in critical condition, the NYPD spokesman told CNN. The 29-year-old refused medical treatment, the police statement said.

21-year-old Nigerian man arrested with heroin in India






A Nigerian man has been arrested in India for being in possession of 265gm of heroin. The 21-year-old Nigerian man said to be indigene of Anambra state, was identified simply as Nonso.
 
The suspect who was arrested at Ziri market near Sector 39 roundabout on Tuesday afternoon, arrived in India on business visa two months back and had been staying in Delhi. 
 
Upon being interrogated, Nonso said he came to Chandigarh in the search of customers in view of Christmas and New Year holiday. He further disclosed that he was told by an associate that Chandigarh had a good potential market for heroin.
 
The Nigerian man also revealed that he procured the narcotics from one of his countrymen living at Uttam Nagar in Delhi. Nonso was reportedly arraigned in a local court on Wednesday December 25, after failing to  produce a passport, visa or any other document regarding his stay in India or Chandigarh.

God has a plan for your life, an excellent one at that! Remember, He’s gracious and of loving kindness. Some people keep pets such as dogs, cats, etc. They didn’t create or give birth to the pets, but they do everything to give them the best of life.


Now, if men would be thoughtful enough to plan a good life and future for their pets, not to mention their biological children, why then should anyone wonder that the Almighty God, who created us, would have a glorious plan for our lives? Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”


God’s plan is the best; your role is to discover that plan and walk in the light of it. As you study and meditate on the Word, you become more and more acquainted with His plans for your life.

Also, you must yield yourself to the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He’s the One who helps you understand the Scriptures. He grants you insight into the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom. He’s in you to help you fulfil God’s plan for your life.

Dear Father, thank you for the thoughts that you think toward me; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give me an expected end. I yield myself to your guidance and protection, to actualize your desire for my life, because I’m fully persuaded that your plan for my life is the best.
