RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY 26TH DECEMBER.

HE HAS AN EXCELLENT PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

God has a plan for your life, an excellent one at that! Remember, He’s gracious and of loving kindness. Some people keep pets such as dogs, cats, etc. They didn’t create or give birth to the pets, but they do everything to give them the best of life.


Now, if men would be thoughtful enough to plan a good life and future for their pets, not to mention their biological children, why then should anyone wonder that the Almighty God, who created us, would have a glorious plan for our lives? Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”


God’s plan is the best; your role is to discover that plan and walk in the light of it. As you study and meditate on the Word, you become more and more acquainted with His plans for your life.

Also, you must yield yourself to the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He’s the One who helps you understand the Scriptures. He grants you insight into the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom. He’s in you to help you fulfil God’s plan for your life.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the thoughts that you think toward me; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give me an expected end. I yield myself to your guidance and protection, to actualize your desire for my life, because I’m fully persuaded that your plan for my life is the best. You’re ordering my steps in the right direction, and none of my steps shall slide, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

READ: Isaiah 48:17-19

17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

MESSAGE


One of the reasons why Jesus was born is to give us peace like a river (Luke 2:14). It is a great thing to the peace of God inside. If you have God’s peace, you will experience peace in the totality of your man, because this peace applies the balm of serenity to our minds and hearts. Without mincing words, it is not a good thing to lack inner peace. The devil uses turbulent storms to generate crisis in people’s lives, leading to worry and anxiety. This is one method he uses to steal God’s peace away from us, but God will not allow his evil ventures to succeed in your life in Jesus’ Name. many people whose peace the devil has stolen seek peace through the use of tranquilizers and depressants, while some others turn to illicit drugs or alcohol. Some even dabble in mystic pseudo-religious movements to find solutions to their lack of peace. All of these sources do not possess peace, and so they cannot give peace to anyone. God is the only source of peace, and He has appointed His Son as the prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Speaking through the Holy Spirit, He describes His remedy against any raging storm of the devil that wants to steal our inner peace, saying in Philippians 4:6-7:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

From this verse, we understand that prayer holds the key to walking in God’s peace. Through prayer, we are able to beat back the devil’s evil arrows of anxiety and worry. Spending time alone with God to thank Him and present our petitions is the most effective tranquilizer. There is no solution to inner disquiet as effective as prayer, and it always, works.

The peace of God transcends all understanding. In other words, it is above and beyond what we understand. The next time you sense a great inner shaking or even just a slight inner disquiet, try prayer. Shut yourself away to be alone with God, and pray God’s word back to Him. Thank Him for who He is and for all His grace and goodness; then tell Him about your anxieties and concerns, and He will intervene to change things for you. When you finish praying, you will discover that the peace of God has filled your inner man. A quiet inner serenity and calm will reign I you, even if the storm is still raging around you. I know this to be true from experience and from what God’s word says. God’s word is practical and its promises work in every circumstance of life. Have you ever considered that your lack of inner peace might be God’s way of calling you to prayer? God may be calling you to have fellowship with Hm, and in the process He will restore His peace that transcends all understanding to your life.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please let your angel be on guard over all my family members in this festive period, and let Your peace that passes all human understanding rule our hearts in Jesus’ Name.

*TODAY’S WORD?*
When *JESUS* came to the earth in human form, He brought with Him everything you need to be empowered to live a life of victory. He came as a little baby, but as the *Son of GOD*, He represented all authority in heaven and earth. When you choose to serve Him, you are no longer a part of the kingdom of the world. You become a part of His kingdom, and you have access to all His resources. You have access to His peace, power, authority, provision, joy and strength. He brought all this to us. Unto us victory is given. Unto us peace is given. Unto us provision is given. Unto us hope and healing are given. Unto us eternal life is given!

Whatever you need today, remember, when *JESUS* came into the world, He made a way for every one of your needs to met spiritually, emotionally and physically. Take hold of His promises by faith, knowing that He has good plans for you today!

Father in heaven, thank You for sending *Your Son, JESUS*, so that I could be free to live an abundant life in You. Fill me with the revelation of Your love and all that You have for me. In *JESUS*’ Name. Amen.

*BASIC SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 1:1-12*

Vs. 8 of today’s scripture says: “Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.” Can you imagine that?

There arose up a new king! Who this was, is difficult to say. It was probably Rameses Miamun or his son Amenophis, who succeeded him in the government of Egypt about A. M. 2400, before Christ in 1604.

There arose a new king (about 60 years after the death of Joseph), which knew not Joseph. Everyone who knew him loved him and was kind to his relatives for his sake; but when he was dead, he was soon forgotten, and the remembrance of HIS GREAT POSITION as Prime Minister or the RECORD HE BROKE (as the first Jew/foreigner to rule Egypt), was either not remembered or regarded. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? Indeed.

FAME IS A VAPOUR and TITLES ARE VAIN! No wonder Jacob and even Joseph asked the Jews to bury their BONES in Israel!

The burying of the BONES OF DEAD MEN was a prophetic action of “I SHALL BE FORGOTTEN IN EGPYT, BUT NOT IN MY COVENANT LAND!” Oh! Men! They forget so soon the good you do! Oh men! They repay evil for good in a bitter river of disappointment! The Holy Ghost is saying today:

“DON’T WORK TO PLEASE MEN! THEY CANNOT BE PLEASED! SEEK TO PLEASE THE LORD IN ALL YOU DO!” Then hear this in Proverbs 16: 7 (AMP) –

*“When a man’s ways please the Lord. He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” If you do all things to PLEASE the LORD, even your HATERS will become your HAILERS! Yes! If you do all things to PLEASE the LORD, He will make sure that your REMEMBRANCE will be blessed and rewarded! STOP DOING “EYE SERVICE.” Begin DIVINE EYE SERVICE!*

If you work for men only, your works at best will die with you without a reward; but if for God, they will follow you now and in eternity! Pray now!

TOPIC: LET YOUR FIRE KEEP BURNING
Read Leviticus 6:8-13

8. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
9. Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
10. And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
11. And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
12. And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
13. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
MEMORISE: A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out (Leviticus 6:13)

EXPOSITION

Many of us use rechargeable lamps in our houses. We quickly detect when it goes dim in its brightness after some use. It comes to our notice immediately that we have to recharge it.

When we fail to recharge our cell phones, they switch off and are of no use at that time, unless we plug them to the source of power to recharge them. Meanwhile, some people don't like their cell phones' batteries to go low or get switched off.

So they provide themselves with mobile power banks, extra batteries, etc. It is so unfortunate that many Christians notice the backwardness in their spiritual lives, but keep working, preaching, serving, and/or singing, as if nothing is wrong. This is spiritual self-deception.

So many things do drain the Christian's spiritual fire. Many activities without connectivity with God bring dullness in the spirit. The moment a Christian is not passionately connected to God, he cannot produce that right fire. As a pastor, evangelist, song leader, Sunday School teacher, etc., after the 'powerful ministration', do you go back to God to renew, recharge, and re-empower yourself in Him?

The fastest thing that drains a Christian's fire is sin. At that point, you are weak in your prayer life, reading the Bible, evangelistic outreach, attitude to errors around you, etc., because of guilt of sin. The way out is to confess your sins and return to your Source - God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is waiting for you to rekindle your fire in Him.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, set my life on fire for Your use, in Jesus' name.
2. Lord Jesus, rekindle Your fire in the bones of our church workers.
3. Oh Lord, deliver Your Church from the spirit of lukewarmness.
