RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SATURDAY 26TH JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: WE ARE OF THE TRUTH

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17).

As God’s children, we’re born of His truth; thus, we’re children of truth. We live in and by truth. We’re located by truth, and receive truth. But the children of the world feed on lies, and therefore live a lie.

It brings to mind the words of Jesus to the Jews who wouldn’t hear and receive His Word. He said, “Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not”(John 8:43-45).

They couldn’t hear and receive His truth because they didn’t belong to Him; they weren’t children of truth. Anyone who is of the truth will hear His voice. How can someone be of the truth? It’s by believing the truth; by receiving truth.

How can you know truth? Truth distinguishes itself. The Bible says, “But wisdom is justified of all her children” (Luke 7:35). You’ll know truth when it comes to your spirit. God’s truth produces faith in you; it produces the love of God in your heart. His truth fills you with hope and brings liberty to your spirit. It’ll also give you direction, because the Word of God is light. Psalm 119:105 tells us, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Blessed Lord, I’m so grateful that I’m born of your Word, your truth; therefore, I walk in truth; I’m led and guided in and by truth. Your truth blesses, promotes, uplifts and causes me to grow spiritually. Your truth produces in me faith, hope and love by which I triumph gloriously in life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: John 8:31-32* Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:44-47 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.

DAILY SCRIPTURE READING

1-Year Bible Reading Plan: Acts 12 & Nehemiah 4-6

2-Year Bible Reading Plan: Luke 4:14-32 & Deuteronomy 24

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am in Christ; the Father has given me the life of increase, dominion, and power. The eyes of my understanding are enlightened to comprehend and apprehend my next level of glory, progress, and prosperity.

I’m waxing great, making progress and growing exceedingly in divine wisdom; for I am a legal representative of the heavenly Kingdom, called and separated from the world.

I am from above; therefore, I am not subject to the distracting elements and corrupting influences of this world. I belong in God’s Kingdom, where I enjoy the full blessings and privileges of my kingdom inheritance.

The Holy Spirit has granted me the supernatural advantage in life. I’ve been divinely enabled to walk in righteousness, prosperity, health, success, and victory. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I walk in greatness and superabundance today. Hallelujah! I function in, and with the dominion of the Spirit, having been enthroned over satan, the principalities of darkness, and all negative circumstances.

My life is the manifestation of the graces, many-sided wisdom, and perfections of God, whose glory I am, and whose presence I carry to impact and beautify my world. Hallelujah!

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am on an upward and forward journey of progress and success; positioned for glory and excellence. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

God bless you

Music Chukwuemeka Onyegbula Indicted For $340K Fraud In US
User Avatar Forum: News

Quote:Barely a month after a Nigerian citizen was arrested in connection with last year’s $650 million unemployment fraud scheme in Washington state, a second Nigerian man has been indicted on strikingly similar charges.

Federal prosecutors say Chukwuemeka Onyegbula, a 38-year-old IT engineer at a Nigerian oil company, used stolen identities and a simple email hack to make off with roughly $290,000 in unemployment insurance benefits from Washington and other states, and around $50,000 in federal disaster loans, according to an indictment returned Wednesday in federal district court in Tacoma.

Onyegbula, who used the alias Phillip Carter, was arrested June 3 by Nigerian authorities and is being detained in Nigeria, according to a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle. An earlier federal filing indicated that prosecutors hope to bring Onyegbula, a resident of Lagos, to the United States, but the spokesperson declined to comment on any extradition process.

It was also unclear whether Onyegbula, who faces charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and multiple accounts of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, has an attorney.

Wednesday’s indictment follows the May 15 arrest of another Nigerian man, Abidemi Rufai, in a New York airport on charges of using stolen identities to pilfer $350,000 in jobless benefits from Washington state. Rufai, a suspended Nigerian government official, is seeking to be released on bail while awaiting federal trial in Tacoma.

Although the latest indictment does not link Onyegbula to Rufai, charging documents suggest he employed similar techniques to steal the funds.

Notably, like Rufai, Onyegbula used a feature of Gmail, Google’s free email service, to file multiple claims for benefits with the Washington state Employment Security Department and other states, according to the indictment.

Holders of a single Gmail account can create dozens of additional email addresses simply by adding one or more periods to the original address. Because the Gmail system doesn’t recognize periods, any emails sent to those so-called dot variant addresses are all routed to the inbox of the original Gmail address.

According to prosecutors, Onyegbula and unnamed co-conspirators used his original Gmail address, phillipcarter002@gmail.com, to create dozens of variants such as phil.lip.carter002@gmail.com.

Onyegbula and co-conspirators used the email addresses along with stolen Social Security numbers and other personal data to file at least 253 unemployment claims with the ESD and unemployment agencies in Arizona, California and 14 other states, prosecutors say. At least $289,604 in benefits were paid out on those claims, according to a June 7 complaint.

Onyegbula and co-conspirators used a similar approach in filing at least 63 applications for so-called Economic Injury Disaster Loans through the federal Small Business Administration, according to the complaint. Those applications netted Onyegbula and his co-conspirators at least $53,900, prosecutors say.

The status of the stolen funds remains under investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s spokesperson said.

Of the roughly $643 million stolen from the ESD last year, $370 million was recovered, according to the latest Washington state audit of the fraud.

Investigators said they also found indications that the phillipcarter002@gmail.com account was used to seek fraudulent tax refunds. That’s potentially another parallel with Rufai, who also attempted to defraud the Internal Revenue Service of nearly $1.6 million, according to a May 28 federal filing.

But as with Rufai’s case, Onyegbula’s Gmail account also appears to have helped federal investigators track him down.

According to the complaint, the Gmail account contained information about a bank account in Onyegbula’s name, his U.S. visa application, and a work email from a Nigerian-based oil company, Pan Ocean Oil Corporation Nigeria Limited.

A LinkedIn profile lists an individual named Chukwuemeka Onyegbula as an “associate IT system engineer” at Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, and as a 2005 graduate in computer engineering from the University of Benin.

This case is being investigated by the FBI, with assistance from the Department of Labor Office of Inspector General and the Department of Justice and the cooperation of the ESD.

DSS Should Apologize To Gumi - Tukur Mamu (Spokesman)
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-25-2021, 10:14 PM - No Replies

Quote:The Department of State Security (DSS) has quizzed controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi over allegation that soldiers aid and abet bandits during an interview with Arise TV.

Gumi was invited to the Kaduna office of the DSS after military authorities took exception to comments by the cleric alleging their operatives were conniving with bandits.

But when The Nation reached out to the Sheikh for comments on the security questioning, he did not pick calls.

He however replied a text message simply saying “Bullshit”.

However, Gumi’s spokesman, Malam Tukur Mamu, in an interview with VOA Hausa, dismissed the allegation against the cleric.

He said there was no where in the TV interview where Gumi categorically accused the entire military.

According to Mamu, what Gumi said was what people have been saying and ”even the soldiers have been saying that there could be some bad eggs amongst them.”

He therefore urged the military and the TV company to apologise to Sheihk Gumi and retract their statements against him, threatening the cleric may seek legal action.

Gunmen kill wife of former Oyo Commissioner

Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have killed Mrs Olayemi Grace Odetomi, wife of Peter Oluremi Odetomi, the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters under the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

It was gathered that Mrs Odetomi was shot dead by the gunmen at their family house around Ashi, Bodija, Ibadan in the early hours of Friday, June 25.

The robbers were said to have stormed the victim’s residence on motorcycles, shooting sporadically before gaining access into the premises.

Details of the incident were still sketchy, however, there are unconfirmed claims that the woman was assassinated.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command,  Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident said it was a robbery incident.

"The deceased, Olayemi Odetomi, aged 66 years, died on the spot after she was shot during a robbery incident which occurred during the early hours of Friday, 25th June, 2021 in her home. Updates on investigations would be provided in due course." he stated.

Odetomi was the deputy governorship candidate to Ajimobi in the 2007 election on the platform of the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP). Prior to that, he was the chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government.

SSS invites Islamic cleric, Sheik Ahmad Gumi for questioning

The State Security Service (SSS) has summoned popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, for questioning, HumAngle reports.

The invitation comes days after Gumi during an interview on Arise TV, alleged that some security agents were colluding with terror gangs carrying out various acts of crimes across the country. In the interview which aired on Wednesday, June 23, the cleric who has consistently called for amnesty to be given to bandits, accused security personnel of providing arms to bandits.

Quote:“These bandits, if you don’t know, are cooperating with a lot of bad elements in our security system. This is a business. So many people are involved, you’ll be so surprised,” Gumi had said

However, in a swift reaction, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Onyema Nwachukwu, said the allegation was a calculated attempt to denigrate the Nigerian military and undermine the sacrifices of “patriotic troops who are working tirelessly to restore peace and stability across the country.”

Quote:“It is essential to remind ourselves that these same military, being accused of connivance, are the ones who recently put their lives on the line to rescue abductees of the Government Secondary School, Birnin Yauri, from kidnappers” he said

Akwa Ibom Govt shuts down secondary school after cultists dropped fetish items and threat notes in front of Principal's office

The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the immediate closure of Uyo High School.

Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), Dr. Ekaette Ebong Okon, disclosed this in Uyo on Thursday, June 24, after suspected cultists gave the principal, Elder Michael Iwok, 24hr ultimatum to release their members or face dire consequences.

The cultists dropped some fetish items such as fresh pepper, palm oil droplets, peeled cooked egg, palm front, a piece of red cloth, tied rope and ten naira note as well as two threat letters at the entrance of the staircase that leads to the office of the Principal and senior secondary three classes.

One of the threat notes reads; "Mr Michael Iwok, we give you 24hrs to release our boys or we fall you. Remember we know your house, wife and children"

It was gathered that some students who were suspected to be cultists were suspended by the school authority while some senior secondary two students who could not meet up with the school requirements to be promoted into senior secondary three have on several occasions disguised themselves as students of the school in school uniforms unleashing mayhem to the school, students, residents and passers-by on regular basis.

It was further gathered that a filling station opposite the school was vandalized and the suspended students along some hoodlums were identified through the company's closed cable tv cameras installed within the premises.

Some of the suspects that vandalized the filling station were arrested by the police while others are still at large.

At least three people have died and up to 99 are still unaccounted for after a multi-story building partially collapsed in southern Florida's Miami-Dade County early Thursday morning.

The collapse of the Champlain Towers South condominium in the small, beachside town of Surfside, about 6 miles north of Miami Beach, was reported around 1:30 a.m.

Champlain Tower South, a 12-story residential condo has 136 units, and 55 have collapsed, officials said

A massive search and rescue operation was launched before dawn and crews are still hoping to find survivors.

During an evening briefing on Thursday, officials said 102 people have been identified and declared safe.

"The building has literally pancaked," Mayor Charles W. Burkett said during a morning press conference.

Burkett said at least 10 people, including the person who died, were treated for injuries on-site. One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He added that 15 families walked out of the building on their own.

The mayor said the collapse happened around 1:03 a.m. -- meaning the building was likely filled with sleeping residents -- and fears the death toll could rise.

"It's heartbreaking because it doesn't seem to me ... that we will find people alive," Burkett said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called the incident a "tragic, tragic situation."

"We'll hope for the best in terms of additional recoveries, but we are bracing for some bad news just given the destruction we are seeing," he said during a press conference.

[Image: b12f5f7068004302bbf98f94bcd78066?quality=uhq&resize=720]

The Foreign Ministry of Paraguay said six Paraguayan nationals were in the building and still missing: Sophia López-Moreira, the sister of the country's first lady; her husband, Luis Pettengill; their three children; and their nanny, Lady Luna Villalba. President Mario Abdo Benítez canceled his events due to the incident.

Argentina's Miami consulate said nine Argentine nationals are missing; Venezuela's ambassador to the U.S. confirmed four Venezuelan nationals are missing; and Uruguay's Foreign Ministry said three Uruguayan nationals have been affected, though their status is unclear.

The Big Brother Naija reunion which was aired tonight came with lots of drama and a physical fight between two female housemates.

The fight began after Kaisha narrated how Ka3na reportedly disrespected her mother as they partied together.

According to Kaisha, her mother liked Ka3na and wanted a photo with her. She revealed that her mother first sent Lucy before sending her sister Zainab to ask Ka3na for the photo, but she reportedly asked them to tell her mother to come to her table, a feedback she found disrespectful.

Ka3na however maintained that she thought they were talking about Kaisha's manager. Lucy who backed Ka3na on this, however failed to explain why she didn't deliver the message when she was asked to.

As the show continued, Kaisha made a demand for them all to stop talking about her mother. Lucy fired back by asking if her mother is a fruit, insisting she was talking about a fruit. This angered Kaisha who then threw a pillow at Lucy, leading to a physical fight.

Lucy was seen later being escorted without her wig on. She was also talking about Kaisha being violent and further threatened to beat her.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

FRIDAY 25TH JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: BE IN THE CENTRE OF GOD’S WILL

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

Something I always wanted with God was to be in the centre of His will for my life. I didn’t want anything to push me out of it. I knew that being in the centre of His will is the perfect place of safety; nowhere else would satisfy. When I found out that He already had my life all planned out, I chose to run with that plan and no longer have to make my own plan.

We aren’t some form of afterthought in God’s plan; no, our lives were carefully orchestrated. The works God commanded us to do were planned beforehand. The question isn’t whether the plan has been made; the question is whether you’ll agree in your life to live according to His plan. Our theme verse says we’re to take “...paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

Your path of life was prepared ahead of time. He planned for you, not just to live, but to live the good life! If you aren’t living a good life, it means you aren’t on the path that God prearranged for you; and I’m using the Word of God to correct you, even now.

In 2 Timothy 1:9, the Bible says God “...hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.” Purpose and grace were given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. The plan was already there, and now, it’s made manifest (2 Timothy 1:10). Would you embrace it?

This is your time for a realignment. He wants you to have a full, deep and clear knowledge of His will, His purpose for your life, and fulfil it. Nothing could be more important.

CONFESSION

By the Spirit, and through the Word, I know and walk in God’s perfect will at all times. The Father’s heart, thoughts, plans, will, purposes, and the mysteries of the Kingdom are unveiled to my spirit continually. There’s an unveiling of His deep truths to my spirit. Praise God!

FURTHER STUDY:

Colossians 1:9
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

2 Timothy 1:8-10
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Acts 11:19-30 & Nehemiah 1-3

2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Luke 4:1-13 & Deuteronomy 23

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I know who I am, and what belongs to me. I am Abraham’s seed, an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. Christ is in me; in Him I live and move and have my being.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Satan and the world are under my feet. I live in victory, divine health and prosperity, and my life gravitates upwards and forward only, from glory to glory.

I am a child of the King! The Spirit of God has ushered me into a place of rest, where everything is working for my good. I am the perfection and epitome of beauty.

Everything about my life is infused with divinity and speaks of God’s glory. Eternal life, love, health, peace, joy, righteousness, prosperity; are all mine! I am well equipped and placed by the Lord.

I am seated together with Christ in the place of power; far above all principalities, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

I live in dominion over sin, sickness and infirmities, and every opposing force, accusation or hindrance. Hallelujah!

The Lord is my source; therefore, I can never lack! I walk in the light of my prosperity, being the seed of Abraham. I have access to wealth untold because I am plugged into God’s unending supply. Hallelujah!

The knowledge of God’s Word is growing mightily and prevailing in me; I am making progress by the Word and heaping up success upon success.

Everywhere I go, I carry the atmosphere of prosperity, joy, and increase, and Christ is exalted and glorified in me today. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

God bless you

Cross River: Man, 24, beheads 65-year-old woman in Calabar

Quote:A young man identified as Christian Edem Eyo in Mbukpa, Calabar South, is reported to have beheaded one of his aunts, identified as Mrs Uduak.

Checks by Daily Sun indicated that the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the deceased, who was a neighbour to Christain, left her apartment to take her bath outside.

Apparently not aware that she was being watched, as she approached the make-shift bathroom outside, Christain accosted her and hacked her down with a big stick and later cut off her head.

According to other neighbours, the incident happened at about 5:00 am when Mrs Uduak left her apartment.

A witness identified as Grace, who is a worshipper at an adjoining church which was having an all-night prayer service, said that she observed the young man burying a headless body.

Grace said Christian took the head of the deceased into his two-room apartment and that she alerted church members who then raised the alarm and subsequently called a local vigilance group.

According to her, the vigilance team immediately alerted the nearby Mbukpa divisional police station, which responded promptly.

‘Upon arrival of police team, Christian, the suspect, allegedly confronted them and macheted one personnel before he was overpowered and taken away,’ she stated.

Another witness, Joe Ekpenyong, said after arresting the suspect, the team of detectives returned to the community and conducted a thorough search in Christians’ two-bedroom apartment where they discovered the fresh head of the woman and some items, including candles, flowers, oil and designs.

Christian, alias Etebong, of No 7 Inyang Street, reportedly confessed that he murdered the woman because she tried to seduce him, adding that the deep hole in his house is where he gets his powers from.

‘I am 24-years-old. I work as a bouncer at 125 Old Ikang Road Calabar. The woman wanted to seduce me. The deep hole you saw inside my apartment is an empowerment area. That’s where I empower myself,’ he stated.

Reacting, the Cross River State Police PRO, Irene Ugbo, said she has not been be briefed on the incident.

The Lagos State Special Offences Court has granted embattled Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, bail in the sum of two million naira.

Delivering a ruling on his bail application this afternoon, the presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, ordered that the actor be released on bail while the trail continues.   Sign The Divorce Papers - Mercy Aigbe Begs Lanre Gentry (Photos)
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories

Quote:During the Father’s Day celebration, there was a squabble between former lovers — ace actress, Mercy Aigbe, and her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry. This led the pair to fight dirty on social media. While Gentry has since told The PUNCH in an exclusive interview the rationale behind his outburst, Mercy Aigbe via an exclusive interview states her truth

What is happening between you and your estranged husband, Lanre Gentry?

I read my ex’s interview in The PUNCH. I have been getting a lot of calls to grant interviews but I know that if I have to react, it has to be on The PUNCH. I want to react to some of the things that he said.

Some of the things he said in the interview was that when I was with him, he was paying my daughter’s school fees; that is a big lie. I am going to use this medium to challenge him to show proof. I have proof; I paid my daughter’s school fees when I was with him.

He was paying for Juwon, but even at that, I had to bail him out because Juwon was always the last person to pay his school fees. Most times, they would send him back home from school and Juwon would come and meet me.

There was a particular day that Juwon came to meet me and he said, ‘Mummy, but you pay Michelle’s school fees, why don’t you pay my own?’ I felt so bad that from that day, I used to bail him out when he cannot meet up with the school fees.

At times, he would say I should borrow him the money but he would never pay me back. But I felt that Juwon is also my son, so, it is not a big deal because marriage is a partnership. It was something that happened very often with Juwon.

Back to Michelle, I paid her school fees all through when I was with him. The school is still there and I have my printed statement of account to show as proof that I paid my daughter’s school fees so he should not be claiming what is not.

There is really no need for him to do that, I am just granting this interview for posterity’s sake.

You made it seem as if your estranged husband is a ‘dead beat’ dad. Is he?

He is. That is who he is. He is a ‘dead beat’ dad in capital letters. He is. So, he should not come and claim some things. These are things that can be found out because the school is there. Anybody can find these things out so he should stop lying.

He claimed that you changed your child’s school because you have ‘upgraded’ and he could not afford the new fees

I saw that one and that is another big lie. That is why I felt there is a need for me to react to all these cooked-up lies. My son left primary school and went to secondary school.

How did I remove him? I do not understand. I have the school receipt and the exchange of text messages between me and him, including voice notes to back up my claim that he is a ‘dead beat’ father, and he does not do his responsibility.

Your estranged husband claims that your divorce has been granted by the court…

Quote me, Lanre Gentry is a pathetic liar, he is an unrepentant liar. Does he think people are dumb? How is it possible for me to take him to five courts? How? Why did we go to five courts?

But has the marriage been dissolved?

No. Please, everyone should appeal to him to sign the divorce papers. He has even refused to accept them. We are still married and not yet divorced. The divorce is not yet finalised. Maybe I should use this medium to appeal, you guys should help me beg him to let me go.

He has refused to sign the divorce papers?

He has. The bailiff from the court went to his place several times. We had to appeal to the court so that we can be allowed to paste the court document on his gate; I do not know the procedure they call it. The case is still in court.

Before the court went on strike, this man refused to appear in court. So, all that he was telling you are lies. All these things that I am telling you are what can be investigated. We are still legally married.

This man refused to sign the divorce papers and he has refused to appear in court. I don’t know the legal term for this but my lawyer had to appeal to the court for them to permit us to paste the papers on his gate. That is what they did to him.

Four appearances and this man refused to show up before the court went on strike. Now that the courts have resumed, the case is back to court. He has refused to even show up.

But he is planning to get married in September…

Yes, he is planning to get married in September and one of his siblings told me. I do not have an issue with that; he can marry, he can do whatever he likes.

That is not my business. But why is he telling all these lies? He is getting married in September but he has yet to fully let me go. Why is he holding on to me?

In one of his Facebook posts, he mentioned that you were into prostitution with movie marketers. Can you clear the air on that?

You know that when a man is toxic, he will do anything to bring his ex down, especially when the woman is doing very well. That is just the only explanation for it. I am not even bothered. He should let me go. That is it. He should do his responsibility.

I have instructed to file a case of defamation of character against him. If he likes, he should run, he will still have to appear in court. Also, I have spoken to the ‘social security department’ in Lagos because I know that there is a law that ensures that a man should take responsibility.

So, I am talking to my lawyers, and I am dragging him there because whether he likes it or not, he needs to be responsible. No matter how small it is, he should contribute something to the life of his child.

If he thinks what I am doing is bad, why does he get bothered when I post and wish myself Happy Father’s Day without mentioning his name? It is because he feels guilty.

This all happened because of a Father’s Day post. Will this stop you from celebrating yourself on Father’s Day?

It is not going to stop me because I wear the shoes. For the role I play in my children’s lives, I should celebrate myself every day.

I celebrate myself every day. Celebrating myself on Father’s Day does not mean that I am talking to anybody, I am just patting myself on the back because it is not easy.

It is just the grace of God that can let a person play both roles because we know the way Nigeria is today. It is not easy for two people, not to talk of just one person.

It is not just about the finances; with raising a kid, you have to be emotionally present. You have to be there for them and nurture them and instill morals in them while you are still working hard to provide for them.

If I am doing all this and my normal work, then one day I decided to congratulate myself, it is not bad. Fatherhood is not only biological.

There are so many people that are raised by men who are not their biological fathers but they call them father because those men played important roles in their lives

Celebrating myself on Father’s Day does not mean that I am saying I am a man, no. I am celebrating myself on Father’s Day because I deserve to be celebrated. I do not see that day as one to celebrate the ‘man figure.

I see Father’s Day as one we celebrate those occupying and performing the role of a father to their kids. I am a woman and I love being a woman.

I am a queen; a beautiful strong queen and I love it. Fate and destiny have made me play the role of a father and I have taken up that responsibility with the help of God.

People are celebrating these people as father figures not because they are men but it is because they celebrate the role of a father in their lives. So why can you not celebrate a woman who plays the role of a father in your life? Why? That is my own understanding.

It is not just for women alone. If you are a man and you play the role of a mother in the life of your children, on Mother’s Day, celebrate yourself. Do not be shy.

We also have some women who are not present in their children’s life. If you are a man performing this role and Mother’s Day is celebrated 100 times in a year, celebrate it. Your children will celebrate you because you are playing that role.

AMCON takes over Oyo senator’s properties in Abuja over N600m debt

Properties belonging to Abdulfatai Buhari, a senator from Oyo state has been seized by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) over an alleged N600 million debt.

The Senator was accused of securing a loan from Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) through his company, Abadat Ventures Limited.

In a statement released on Wednesday June 23, AMCON disclosed that a federal high court had graciously directed police, court bailiffs and other security agencies to assist the agency in securing the assets after his company remained recalcitrant despite all efforts, negotiations and windows of opportunity to repay the huge debt.

The statement read;

Quote:“Sequel to the order of Honourable Justice I. E Ekwo of the federal high court, Abuja, the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has taken over assets belonging to Alhaji Buhari Abdulfatai, chief promoter of Abadat Ventures Limited over an indebtedness of almost N600million.

“Justice Ekwo made the ruling on March 25, 2021, and in compliance to the enforcement order, AMCON went about putting the logistics together and on Friday, June 18, 2021, the corporation took effective possession of the two properties as listed by the court through its appointed receiver-manager – Mr Baba Mohammed Waziri of Baba Waziri & Co. Chambers.

“The enforced properties include property situate at No 12, St, Petersburg Street, Wuse II, Abuja and Plot 516, (also known as No 2. Marte Close), off Misau Crescent, off Birnin Kebbi Crescent, Garki II, Abuja.

“Apart from granting the corporation possession of the above-mentioned properties, the court also ordered the receiver-manager to take all necessary steps required to realise the assets of the obligor, with a view to paying the outstanding loan in line with Section 553 and 554 of the companies and allied matters act, 2020.

“The non-performing loan (NPL) of Abadat Ventures Limited was purchased by AMCON from Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc., during the second phase of eligible bank asset purchases in 2021. Since then, the obligor has been unwilling to repay the loan despite the concessions made available to him by the Corporation in a bid to amicably resolve the bad debt.”

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

THURSDAY 24TH JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: ✨ AVAIL YOURSELF OF HIS POWER IN YOU ✨

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (Ephesians 1:19).

In the scripture above, the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed for the Christians at Ephesus that they’d know the exceeding greatness of God’s power at work in them. Of course, everybody knows God is powerful; if there’s a God in heaven, He must be powerful. But is that power directed towards you? Is that power available for your use?

That’s what Paul was talking about. He wants you to come to the point where you know that the power of God is available for your use, for your application in the “now” of your life. He wants you to have the knowledge and be conscious that it’s the power of God that’s working in our behalf. That’s the power He demonstrated when He raised Jesus from the dead.

The second part of the opening scripture talks about the authority that we have in Him. Verses 22 and 23 says, “And hath put all things under his (Jesus’) feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all”*_ (Ephesians 1:22-23). That’s us! He’s letting you know the power of your authority in Christ Jesus.

When you come to understand that you have His dominion, His all-encompassing and unlimited authority, you’ll never be afraid of Satan, man, or anything. You’d think and talk like David who said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil… (Psalm 23:4). “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?...Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear…” (Psalm 27:1, 3). Hallelujah!

               CONFESSION
I’m seated with Christ in the place of power, in a position of authority. I have His dominion—all-encompassing and/unlimited authority. Fear/has no place in me, for/the Lord Jesus has given me complete authority over Satan and his cohorts. I’ve been designed to rule the earth for the glory of God. Hallelujah!

Quote:BBNaija Reunion: Ka3na admits having sex with Praise, says he didn’t last 5 seconds

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ka3na has admitted that she had sex with Praise while in the house.

Ka3na who had earlier denied the act, claimed that they only aggressively cuddled.

However, during the reunion show on Tuesday, Ka3na revealed that she had sex with Praise because he boasted that he ‘can never have anything to do with her.’

The mother of one also mocked Praise for poor performance in bed.

She said, “I and Praise became very close, he gave me a massage. I told him that I was drawn to him because I felt we were in the same circle.

“I am separated from my husband, you have a fiancée and we don’t need much from each other.

“He had a conversation with Lucy and Dorathy that he is in the house for the game. Praise said he knows I like him but he can never have anything to do with me.

“Nobody does that to me. Don’t speak low of me. Remember what happened? I called you to my bed and had sex with you.

“He didn’t last for five seconds. After all the rubbish you said, you didn’t even last 5 seconds.

“He also came to my hotel room again, maybe to redeem himself. We had Sex and he didn’t even last 10 second.”

Quote:#BBNaija Reunion: Dorathy admits she gave BrightO a 'Mouth Action'

The Dorathy, BrightO and Wathoni triangle plus a Mouth Action session we all missed.

Talk about things we do for love or infatuation. The Dorathy, BrightO and Wathoni situation turned out to be more interesting than the audience envisaged. No thanks to Kayode ( a weird title Tweeps christened the camera crew).

What was intended as screen time for the former housemates to clear the air on their triangular chemistry rapidly degenerated to cussing and the shocking admission of beneath the sheet activities.

Dorathy finally cleared the air on Wathoni's slip from the show's second episode. She did give BrightO some mouth action while Wathoni was benevolent enough to change the sheets afterwards.

For BrightO, the intense session was never on his bucket list which explains why he ignored Dorathy the morning after. Not even a 'how was your night?'

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

WEDNESDAY 23RD JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: BE FERVENT IN SOUL-WINNING AND INTERCESSION

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2).

One of the most pitiful things to read about is the actual state of those who don’t know Jesus Christ. The scripture above is telling us about such people; those who aren’t Christians. It says they walk “according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.”

It helps you understand why they think the way they do; they’re controlled by some other force. It says the prince of the power of the air is at work in them—the children of disobedience—those who have rejected the truth. This is where we come in; we must break the power of Satan over such folks and take the light of God’s Word to them.

The Bible says you must bind the strongman to plunder his house (Matthew 12:29). For us to record a massive harvest of souls in the nations of the world in these last days, we must break the power and influence of Satan and demons over the minds and lives of those who haven’t yet known the Lord, so the light of God’s glorious Gospel can shine in their hearts.

Anyone who’s not born again, whether it’s your father, mother, uncle, auntie, brother, sister, cousin, nephew, niece, in-law, friend, colleague, neighbour, etc.; they’re all under the control and dominion of these wicked rulers of darkness, until they receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:3 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.” Ephesians 4:18 says they have their understanding darkened. That’s why you must do something about it; they’re your responsibility. Be more fervent in soul winning and intercession; the harvest is ripe. Right from the day of Pentecost, the Bible tells us the Holy Spirit was poured out upon all men, in accordance with the prophecy in Joel 2:28.

This means men now have the potential ability of recognizing and receiving the truth. As you pray, declare that the power and influence of Satan and his demons over the people are broken in the Name of Jesus, and men and women hear the Gospel, perceive, understand and receive it for their salvation in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! We must do this with all earnestness.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for pouring out your Spirit upon all humanity, making it possible for their hearts to receive the glorious Gospel of Christ. I pray for as many as will be reached with the Gospel today, that the light of the Gospel will shine in their hearts, resulting in their salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 Timothy 2:1-4
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Quote:The roof of the National Assembly Complex leaked as it rained heavily on Tuesday.

The main lobby which leads to the chambers of the senate and the house of representatives was flooded owing to the downpour.

The press centre where reporters sit to monitor plenary sessions was not spared by the flood.

Domestic staff of the assembly battled for more than 20 minutes to drain out the pool of water.

But the situation did not stop legislators from sitting.

In 2019, the national assembly budgeted N42 billion for the renovation of the complex.

This sparked off criticism as some Nigerians frowned at the sum earmarked for the renovation.

Quote:Oyo State police command has arrested three suspects following the shooting of cows in the Eruwa area of the state.

Spokesman for the command, Adewale Osifeso said the suspects Opeyemi Ajibodu, Segun Dade and Dare Adenle were found in possession of two dane guns and daggers, among other weapons.

He said the police made the arrests in the Sunbare area following reports of several gunshots reportedly fired in a nearby bush.

Osifeso added that an on-the-spot assessment carried out at daybreak revealed that the gunshots were from an attack launched against a group of Fulani herders, which resulted in the killing of six cows and wounding of 13 others.

He said, “In continuity of the crime-fighting crusade of the Oyo State Police Command, on Sunday, 20th June, 2021, several gunshots were reportedly fired in a bush at Sunbare Area, along old Ibadan Road, Eruwa, causing fear and panic in the hearts of residence.

“Upon receipt of the information, police operatives attached to Eruwa Divisional Police Headquarters gathered momentum and stormed the reported scene.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the three suspects were arrested with the weapons.

“Upon interrogation, facts gathered revealed that the attack was perpetrated to ward off the herders from grazing in the forests in Eruwa environs.”

I don't want to hear unknown gunmen again - Governor Lalong tells police

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has told the police to ensure that he doesn't hear about “unknown gunmen” again.

The Plateau state Governor said this when Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba visited Plateau on Monday June 21 to inaugurate 50 patrol vehicles and 200 motorcycles procured by the state Government to improve security.

According to Lalong, people who come into communities and kill innocent people in their sleep or when they are going about their legitimate businesses cannot be said to be spirits and must not be allowed to go free.

He said;

Quote:“It’s with tremendous joy that I welcome the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Baba, Senior Heads of Military and Para-military organisations and distinguished guests to the commissioning of security patrol vehicles and special security motorcycles purchased by the State Government.

This is a very significant event because Peace and Security have remained the key priority of the Rescue Administration. Our belief is that security is the baseline for attaining development in any society.

“However, we have also realised that while we consolidate on the peace, the crisis merchants are not sleeping as their source of business has been obstructed due to the actions we have put in place to restore stability. Therefore, they are restless and trying various methods to breach the peace.

As I commend the security agencies for doing their best to tackle the cases of such attacks and other criminal activities, I have also expressed deep concern over the inability to prevent such killings or arrest the perpetrators in some cases. I have since told the police and other security agencies that I do not want to hear unknown gunmen again in Plateau State!

“People who come into communities and kill innocent people in their sleep or when they are going about their legitimate businesses cannot be said to be spirits and must not be allowed to go free. All we need is intelligence gathering, quick intervention and continuous surveillance. Security agencies must be assisted with the information to hunt down these merchants of evil and bring them to justice.

Traditional rulers have equally been warned that they will be held responsible if they fail to give information on who is behind such attacks under their jurisdictions.”

On his own part, IGP Alkali said the procurement of the vehicles and motorcycles would not be in vain.

He said;

Quote:“You have challenged us by this gesture and I can confidently assure Your Excellency that we shall not fail you as we appreciate that to whom much is given, much more is expected.
"More police personnel will soon be recruited to boost the manpower of the force while the training of the personnel is also being accorded serious attention.”

13-year-old boy allegedly hacks his father to death in Edo

Osariakhi Oronsaye
A 13-year-old boy identified as Abubakar has allegedly hacked his father, Osariakhi Oronsaye, 79, to death in Edo State

It was gathered that the incident happened at Egbon Estate in Evbuotubu, Benin City on Sunday, June 20.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the septuagenarian had earlier reported his son to the Evbuotubu Police Station a week earlier when the boy threatened to kill him.

However, upon arrest, the father was said to have had a change of mind and pleaded with the police to let the boy go.

In the early hours of Sunday, the young boy carried out his threat as he allegedly axed his father to death in his sleep.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Kontongs Bello, who confirmed the incident on Monday June 21, said that the advice of the state’s Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, would determine the fate of the minor.

Kontongs noted that the minor status of the offender had made it imperative for the Command to liaise with the DPP, noting that everything would be done to unravel the case.

"I can confirm to you that the command is discussing with the DPP over the case. It is an unfortunate case but we are also conducting our investigation to ensure that we unravel the case. The culprit is a minor so we must be sure of what we are doing,” the PPRO stated.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

TUESDAY 22ND JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: USE THE WORD TO MAKE YOUR LIFE GLORIOUS

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all (Galatians 4:1).

“God is going to see me through; He’ll make a way for me, where there’s no way….” These are some of the unscriptural statements you hear from some Christians from time to time, and they wonder why their situations remain unchanged. You need to understand who you really are as a Christian; you’re one with God! As He is, so are you (1 John 4:17); and who is He? He is the WAY!

If He’s the way, which other way do you want Him to make? Understand this: nothing that you face is set to your disadvantage. You can walk through any barrier, or adverse circumstance in victory and great glory.

That’s your heritage as a child of God.
Quit thinking, talking and living as though you’re in the Old Testament. You don’t need a “breakthrough” from anything; you already “broke through” with Jesus when He rose triumphantly from the grave two thousand years ago. You were delivered (past tense) from the domain of darkness, and translated into the Kingdom of God’s Love-son. You’re in the place of dominion, power and glory.

2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” It’s about your knowledge of Him. What becomes of your life is now entirely up to you.

If you’re waiting on God to do anything about your life, or give you anything, you may wait in vain. He already did and gave you all that you require for an excellent, glorious and triumphant life. The works were finished from the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3 NKJV).

In Joshua 1:8, God didn’t say, “I’m going to make your way prosperous”; rather, He said, “YOU will make your own way prosperous.” God’s responsibility is to give you the recipe for prosperity, success and the good life, and He already did that through His Word. Now, you’re to use the Word to make your life glorious. Use the Word to subdue circumstances and prevail against adversities. Praise God!

CONFESSION

I have a consistent and instinctive desire for God’s Word. As I consciously imbibe the Word for my health, finances, business and every area of my life, I experience supernatural progress every day. By the Word, I make my way prosperous, effective and fruitful in the life of righteousness. Hallelujah

FURTHER STUDY:

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Ephesians 4:11-14
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that God has made me an able minister of the New Testament, with a message of life to bless the world!

I am willing, passionate, eager, and excited to preach the Gospel today, in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, knowing that as many as the Father had appointed unto salvation through me will hear and receive the Gospel gladly.

My way is paved by the Lord, and I am walking according to God’s predestination for my life; I am fulfilling His dream and bringing glory to His Name. Hallelujah!

I increase everyday in my knowledge of the Word of God, and my decisions and actions are influenced by His Wisdom. My walk with the Holy Spirit is highly fruitful, and I am divinely helped of Him as I function in God’s plan for my life.

*APGA, PDP Aspirants Panic Over Peter Obi, Maduka Romance*

As the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party holds on June 26, one of the frontline guber aspirants, Dr Godwin Maduka, appears to be in pole position to grab the governorship ticket of the Party.

Maduka's recent political romance with the leader of the party and former governor of the State, Mr. Peter Obi, is sending shivers down the spines of other PDP governorship aspirants.

Though the former governor may not have openly endorsed any aspirant for the party's guber ticket, it is believed he may be 'sympathetic" to the guber bid of the Orumba born medical doctor .

The Obi- Maduka romance, is also causing ripples in the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, ostensibly because of Peter Obi's towering political influence and weight on Anambra politics.

The former governor has remained a political collosus in the State and has maintained a father figure status in the State, because of his outstanding and impressive performance, when he governed Anambra State for eight years on the platform of APGA.

It is believed that whoever Mr. Peter Obi endorses for the PDP guber Primary and forthcoming guber election, is one inch close to Government House, Awka.

Observers of the forthcoming governorship election in the State, contend that the recent romance between Dr. Maduka and Peter Obi, is also raising eyebrows among stakeholders in the State, including aspirants in APGA, APC and other political parties.

Last Saturday, Dr. Maduka was the only governorship aspirant present at Mr. Peter Obi's hometown, Agulu, where the former governor led Dr. Maduka to commiserate with victims of Sickle Cell ailment.

The event was part of activities to celebrate World Sickle Cell Day.

Dr. Maduka and Peter Obi were together, when they paid a condolence visit to the family of late PDP Youth Leader in Agulu Ward one, Jonathan Obiesie.

While condoling with the family of the deceased to bear the loss of Mr. Obiesie with fortitude, Mr.Obi, also spoke on the need for the people of Anambra State to elect a credible governor in the forthcoming election.

He said Anambra State is in dire need of someone commited to the development of the State, and not one who will embezzle State funds and impoverish the people.

He also stated there is need for the people of the State, to elect a governor who has positive antecedents and good records in tbe past.

Political observers contend that Mr.Obi's postulation, perfectly suits Dr. Maduka, who is the only governorship aspirant, known to have impacted positively on the lives of the people of Anambra State through the activities of his Foundation.

The Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, has declared that nothing would stop Oduduwa agitators from storming Lagos on July 3 for a mega rally.

DAILY POST recalls that the agitators have staged rallies in some parts of the Southwest recently calling for the separation of Oduduwa Republic from Nigeria.

Biafra, Oduduwa: Nothing can stop Nigeria’s disintegration – Pastor Giwa tells Buhari

on
 June 21, 2021

The senior pastor of The Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has said nothing can stop the disintegration of Nigeria.

Giwa made the remark while accusing Lord Lugard of merging Nigeria to pave way for Fulanis to control the country.
In a statement he forwarded to DAILY POST, Pastor Giwa said: “The first Governor-General of Nigeria, Federick John Lugard did a horrible thing to have joined the country together to pave the way for Fulanis to control everyone.

“The foreigners have hijacked the resources meant for the sons of the soil. Fredrick Lugard gave the Northerners the keys to Nigeria. White people don’t like those who are smart enough to question them.

“Fredrick Lugard saw Northerners as fools that the white people could control, and that was the reason why he handed over the leadership of Nigeria to them. To date, the British still control our resources, we pay dues to them. Lugard joined us together, his wife named the country, what a horrible combination! Now, back to the situation within.

“Aside from Northerners themselves, if an Igbo man becomes the president today, he will still worship the Fulanis. The permanent solution to this is to change the name, Nigeria and let us have a new nation with a new constitution.

“Either President Buhari likes it or not, God shall free His children from oppressors and tormentors. They have inflicted several mental or physical sufferings on the citizens of Nigeria.”

Quote:“In an interview with the student by the team, the affected child disclosed that the school proprietor, on May 26, 2021, which happened to be the school’s Children Day celebration, made advances to her and kissed her on her lips, but she was able to push him away and ran out of his office.

She added that since the incident, she had made every effort to keep a distance from the proprietor. Further investigations revealed that the affected child might not be the only student to have fallen victim to sexual harassment in the hands of the alleged perpetrator.

It was further alleged that Mr Emmanuel Madueke tactically grooms female students, who become acquainted with him, promising educational advancement as a reward.

The team, however, reported the case to the Ilasan Police Division with the investigation ongoing by the Gender Desk Department of the Lagos State Police Command.

The Lagos State Government, after the investigation, reiterated its commitment to ensuring the protection of children from all forms of sexual and gender-based violence, warning that no form of sexual and gender-based violence would be tolerated in the state.”the statement in part read

The team has reported the case to Ilasan Police Division and an investigation has begun.

Abductions: Kebbi state government shuts down seven schools over safety concerns

The Kebbi state government has closed seven schools considered unsafe following the recent abduction of students and teachers of Federal Government College(FGC) Birnin Yauri by bandits.

The Chairman of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), Kebbi state, Isah Arzika, disclosed this to newsmen. Arzika said the shut schools are in vulnerable areas of the state believed to be soft targets of bandits. He noted the move was a proactive measure to further prevent the recurrence of FGC, Birnin Yauri’s incident.

Quote:“Government has given us an order and option to take any necessary action as far as our schools are concerned. That we can close those schools which we think are not safe and prone to attacks in the areas close to the forest.
I am not talking about only boarding schools, any school that is on the frontline areas and not safe, we would just ask the students to pack and go home, pending the time the situation normalises.”Arzika said

On the recent abduction at FGC Birnin Yauri, Arzika said the bandits have contacted parents and families of the students but no ransom has been demanded.

Quote:“They collected the contacts of parents and teachers from the abductees and thereafter made calls to tell them that their children and people were with them but none of them asked for a kobo, they only said they wanted to establish contact that the abductees are in their custody.
Right now, two of our teachers have regained their freedom.Seven schools in that area have been closed and more will be closed if we realise the situation continue to be safe for the teachers and students.”he said

Muslim cleric arrested after he was caught on video 'sexually assaulting male student' (Photos)

A prominent Muslim cleric has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a male student at a religious school in Pakistan.

Aziz-ur-Rehman was recently arrested after footage purporting to show him forcing himself on the student went viral on social media.
[Image: fd5bfec2ec3c44caa53b47f676cca7cb?quality=uhq&resize=720]
Rehman, who led anti-blasphemy rallies condemning French cartoons of Prophet Mohammed in Pakistan reportedly denied the accusation of sexual abuse in a video statement, saying that he was drugged before the filming of the alleged abuse.

He said this was part of a plot to throw him out of the seminary, the Jamia Manzoor-ul-Islamia.
Police said it would be a 'test case' after detaining Rehman and his two sons who have been accused of trying to intimidate the alleged victim.

Inam Ghani, inspector general of Punjab police, said : 'We want our kids protected from these child molesters and to keep our society safe.'
[Image: 8adeb741c90c4aa68a9f1c00bedc5e09?quality=uhq&resize=720]
Rehman, who is in his 60s and is a member and former leader of prominent religious political party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has worked as a custodian of the Lahore seminary for several years.

He has been a regular at anti-blasphemy rallies held in recent months to denounce the publication of cartoons in France depicting the Prophet Muhammad.
[Image: 9cef0552f797413dae98ea561c520257?quality=uhq&resize=720]
The seminary said the cleric has been expelled from his position, and Wafaq-ul-Madaris, the body that oversees the religious schools system, said it has stripped him of his title, mufti, which means a religious scholar.

The student, who police said appeared to be in his early 20s, said in his complaint that he has given several video and audio recordings to help police investigate, adding he had gone into hiding because he had received death threats.

The police said the student had told them that the cleric had been abusing him for several years.

He started filming the abuse after he got sick of it, and sent the video clips of the abuse to the head of the Wafaq-ul-Madaris, the student claims.

He said: 'I was admitted into the madrassa in 2013 and had been attending it since. Mufti Aziz promised passing me in exams in exchange for keeping immoral relations with me.'

In another video posted on social media, the alleged victim said: 'My attacker's son's have threatened to kill me for exposing him.'

The case has caused outrage on social media, with many calling for strict punishment for the cleric.

A policeman was filmed fighting a bus conductor in Ikorodu at about 5:30pm on Saturday, June 19.

According to eyewitnesses, the policeman wanted to ride in the bus for free as a "staff" but the bus driver and conductor insisted they no longer carry staff for free "since the government does not pity poor people that use danfo for business and keep increasing the cost of petrol."

The policeman then allegedly became aggressive and put hands on the conductor.

Edo Demolishes Victor Ighile Mojo's Hotel

Quote:Edo State Government has demolished a hotel reportedly belonging to one of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s loyalists, Mr. Victor Ighile, popularly known as Mojo. The hotel located at Adeyan Street, GRA, Benin, was almost completed, before it was brought down. “Mojo is one of the key supporters of Governor Obaseki.

Mojo spent his personal money running into millions of naira to ensure the re-election of the governor. “Mojo is one of the major sponsors and influencers of Governor Obaseki’s home and Diasporan loyalists.

“We had expected that Governor Obaseki would find a way to compensate Mojo. Little did we know that his hotel would be demolished by Governor Obaseki whom he worked hard for during his second term campaigns,” a sympathiser said.

Another sympathiser, who also did not want his name in print, described demolition as disheartening.

He said: “Edo people are surprised and still in shock that the governor could do this to his strong supporter.” At press time, the government and the owner of the hotel could not be reached for comments on the matter.

Unrepentant Indian Serial Rapist Hacked To Death By 200 Women In Revenge Attack
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 06-21-2021, 03:02 PM - No Replies

A sardonic retelling of how a serial rapist and killer was stabbed to death by 200 women outside an Indian court house has struck a chord with youngsters across the world.

A TikTok video explaining how Akku Yadav met his "very satisfying end" in 2004 has been watched more than two million times.

Many of the viewers would have been too young to remember his case in a country where one woman reported a rape every 15 minutes in 2018.

The true figure is believed to be much worse as the official statistics don't include rapes followed by murders as well as the countless cases that go unreported.

Although being a rape victim is taboo in India, many of Yadav’s victims reported his crimes but instead of arresting him, women were turned away by the police, telling them ‘you’re a loose woman, that’s why he raped you.’

"One woman told the police she was gang-raped and the police responded by gang-raping her themselves. As long as Yadav targeted the poor, the police wouldn’t interfere."

In 2004 they descended on to Nagpur district court's white shiny marble floor armed with knives, stones and chilli powder.

They sliced off his penis with a vegetable knife and continued to stab Yadav's lifeless body after his death 15 minutes into the August 13 attack.

The gangster had committed at least three murders, tortured and kidnapped people, and raped more than 40 women and girls for over 13 years.

He was killed moments after spotting one of the women he had raped and calling her a prostitute before his court hearing.

Police laughed as Yadav threatened to repeat the crime against her and she took off her sandal and began to hit him, shouting, "We can't both live on this Earth together. It's you or me" - sparking the lynching.

The police reaction saw every woman in the slum claim responsibility for his death, telling officers: "Arrest us all."

Yadav had bribed officers with drinks to get away with robbing homes using rape as a weapon. Many of his victims were from the lowest rung of India's race-based caste-system.

Falana: APC Has Perfected Plans To Rule Nigeria Indefinitely
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion

•Laments Buhari’s failure to amend 2010 Electoral Act

•Says demand for self-determination, a constitutional right

Quote:Gboyega Akinsanmi

Unlike the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that boasted to rule Nigeria for 60 years, Nigeria’s foremost human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) yesterday disclosed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had perfected plans to rule the country indefinitely.

Falana, a former President of the West African Bar Association (WABA), also said the Electoral Amendment Bill might not be signed into law citing the failure of the National Assembly to complete the process of its enactment and transmit it to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent.

He expressed these grave concerns during an exclusive interview with THISDAY yesterday, pointing out how the Buhari administration reneged on different promises made to Nigerians during presidential campaigns in 2014.

Falana, who spoke on diverse issues of national concerns during the interview, said: “Unlike the PDP, which boasted that it would rule Nigeria for 60 years, the APC has perfected plans to rule Nigeria indefinitely.

“Hence, the new Electoral Amendment Bill is not likely to be signed into law. Very soon, Nigerians will be told that the bill cannot be signed by the president since the 2023 elections are around the corner,”
he observed.

Reflecting on Buhari’s breach of campaign promises, Falana explained how the APC had campaigned to reform the electoral process by implementing the recommendations of the Justice Muhammed Uwais Electoral Reform Panel before the 2015 elections

Upon assumption of power, however, the human rights lawyer noted with grave concern that the ruling party reneged on its pact with the people on electoral reform.

Before the Ekiti State governorship election in 2014, he explained how some APC leaders obtained court orders, which restrained the Jonathan administration from deploying the armed forces in the management of elections.

He, however, said: “The APC government deploys armed military and police personnel in the manipulations of elections including local government elections. As if that is not enough, voters are induced with money, rice, beans and salt in utter contravention to the Electoral Act.”

On these grounds, the senior advocate claimed that the Buhari administration had failed to reform the country’s dysfunctional electoral system after six years in the saddle, hence contravening its campaign promise.v

Before the 2015 elections, the APC entrenched restructuring in its manifesto and campaigned for power devolution from the centre to the other federating units, one of the reasons it garnered popular support nationwide.

Apart from its promise to devolve powers to the federating units, the APC also campaigned to reform the country’s electoral system in line with the recommendation of the Justice Muhammed Uwais Electoral Reform Panel.

On December 7, 2018, Buhari rejected the Electoral Amendment Bill that could have transformed the country’s electoral system positively on the ground that it could affect the 2019 elections contrary to these promises.

In the same way, the president had not taken any concrete step to implement the report of the APC Committee on True Federalism; the outcome had fuelled agitations either for return to regional government or outright separation from Nigeria in different parts of the country.

Despite Buhari’s lukewarm approach to comprehensive electoral reforms, Falana challenged the National Assembly to fast-track the process of amending the Electoral Amendment Bill ahead of the 2023 general election.

He recommended the need to legalise the use of card readers and electronic voting and collation of results and direct transmission to INEC central server.

He urged the National Assembly to prioritise the review of the Electoral Amendment Bill since the president did not sign the bill into law in 2018 on the ground that it was too close to the last general election.

The human rights lawyers observed that the new bill “has not been passed and forwarded to the president for his assent for reasons best known to both chambers of the National Assembly.

“The delay is affecting the preparations of INEC for the 2023 general election. It is high time sufficient pressure was mounted on the federal legislators to pass the Electoral Amendment Bill as a further delay will adversely affect the conduct and management of future elections in the country.

“But it is doubtful if the country can hold a peaceful general election in 2023. In 2015, the Jonathan administration postponed the general election for six weeks because some local governments in Borno State were under the control of terrorists.

“Today, a number of state governments and hundreds of local governments are under either total or partial control of insurgents, bandits and other gunmen. It is hoped that the federal government will not invoke and apply Section 135 of the 1999 Constitution,” he observed

He noted that the section empowered the president “to postpone elections if he considers that it is not practicable to hold elections on the ground that the country is involved in a war in which its territory is physically involved.

“This is why all hands should be on deck to enact a new electoral law, which should provide for electronic voting. That is the only way to ensure that elections are conducted in many parts of the country at any given time.”

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY 21ST JUNE.

UNBELIEF AND OBEDIENCE

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2).

The word “disobedience” in the scripture above is translated from the Greek word “apeitheia” and it means disbelief (obstinate and rebellious); it’s characteristically unbelief. So, it’s referring to the children of unbelief. It describes something that’s very much like the spirit of the antichrist.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 AMPC says, “For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way.” “Mystery of lawlessness” refers to rebellion; a defiant opposition to God; to be highly opposed to God’s will; to God’s Word.

There’re people who, without even knowing why, find themselves doing the things they do, in defiance to God. That’s how come you find people who say, “I just don’t like Christians.” If you were to ask them the reason for such hatred, they’ll say, “Nothing; I just don’t like them.” The Bible shows us what spirit is working in such people.

1 Corinthians 2:12 talks about the spirit of the world; and it’s the same spirit we read about in our opening scripture: “...the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2). But thank God the Bible says that’s not what we received.

We received the Spirit of God and He teaches us and nurtures us in the will of the Father: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:12). Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Now I’ve received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God that I may walk in truth and obedience. My life is Spirit-ruled and Spiritcontrolled; I’m always under the sway and regulation of the Spirit. Hallelujah!

#RHEMAFORTODAY

Say these with me, “I am a Wonder to my world! My life is the manifestation of the wisdom and grace of God! I live in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ. I am joined to the Lord and that makes me impregnable to the rudiments of this world.

I am what God says I am! I’ve been justified by faith and I walk in the light of my new life in Christ, without condemnation but as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I’ve been declared righteous, unblameable, unreprovable, and brought into the life of peace that transcends all understanding.

I am graced; my words are spirit, and they are life. They are infused with power and divine energy to prevail over life circumstances. The words of Christ dwell in me richly, in all wisdom; therefore, my words are filled with inspiration, healing, comfort, hope, love, and power. Hallelujah! My words bring deliverance to every creation in my world, taking them out of bondage and corruption, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.

I am a man (woman, boy, or girl) on a mission; a saviour from Zion, filled with divine energy to make a difference in my world. I give life to the things around me through the power of my words, for these are the days of the manifestation of the sons of God. Hallelujah!

I’ve overcome the world, the devil, and the forces of hell because I am a product of the incorruptible Word of God, which lives and abides forever. I am not ordinary; I am from the government of heaven! I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms—a place of authority, victory, safety, and deliverance—far removed from all earthly distractions. Hallelujah!

I am a king-priest and I am “kinging” now! I live up to my calling, displaying the virtues and perfections of Christ! I exude excellence in all aspects of my life, fruitful and productive in all things by the Holy Ghost. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

God bless you

Five persons can’t decide for us – Igbos tackle Southeast Govs for disowning IPOB

There has been outrage amongst Igbos following the recent pronouncement by the southeastern Governors who met in Enugu State on Saturday.

DAILY POST has reported that the five governors in the region, on Wednesday disowned the secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stating that the group does not speak for the Igbos.

Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, David Umahi, who stated this while addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting, said they believe in one Nigeria.

The meeting was targeted at proffering solutions for the current insecurity ravaging the region particularly Imo, Abia, Anambra and Ebonyi State.
“We condemn in totality, the activities of violent secessionist groups in the South East and elsewhere.

“We firmly proclaim that we do not support them, they do not speak for the South East.

“The impression that South-East leaders are silent over some of our youths’ agitations for secession is not correct.

“South-East Governors, Ohanaeze President, National Assembly members, notable leaders had come out publicly many times in the past to speak against such agitations.

“In order not to mismanage the unfortunate situation, South-East leaders have set up a committee to engage such youths to stop and allow elders to speak to address such fears,” he said.

Reacting, some indigenes of the region took to their social media handles to lambast the governors for taking decisions that do not represent the common voice of their electorates.

Here are some of the reactions from Facebook:

Omesi Bonn Pillar said, “Southeast governors forum cannot speak for the youths and of course we have decided to exit Nigeria whether or not the governors want it.

“The said governors have mortgaged our future for so long until the advent of IPOB which has come to rescue and set us free by process of giving us Biafra—and that we have aligned with. We are asking for a referendum in order to settle everything”.

According to Ifeanyi Ejimkonye, “It’s quite unfortunate, disheartening and irritating that south east governors can officially disown IPOB and support one Nigeria with the high level of marginalization just because of their selfish interest. I am so ashamed of so-called Southeast Governors.”

“You people should continue showcasing stupidity, greediness and insensitivity. It’s now obvious that you people are not speaking for Igbos. Chukwu Okike Abiama will punish you people one after the other.”

Bob Eluwa: “Miserable five persons’ opinion doesn’t matter concerning the future of about 40 million people”.

Victor Mbaka, “South east governors nobody is begging you people to support us agitating for Biafra only God support we are asking for because I know the problem we are facing in the South East from you people call governors but as far as everybody is still alive you people call governors most reap it, all the blood of Innocent youth you people will face the judgement when time comes”.

The situation is not different from Twitter as many who, despite the ban on the microblogging platform, expressed their opinions using the medium.

DAILY POST compiled some of the reactions as follows:

@Suitzio: “Instead of them after a long deliberation, we’ll be engaging our people in the coming weeks to know exactly what they want, as it appears Nigeria is drifting off course. For now we urge our people home and abroad to be calm and work for the peace and progress of SE”.

@Stevedameze: “Who are these “Southeast Governors?” Do we really recognize them? I am not sure if they know that they don’t speak for the Igbos. They’ve lost any credibility & a vote of no-confidence has been passed on them. The so-called governors don’t even have a word of their own”.

@Nj99625368: “An adult do not need the consent of his parent to become a Gay/Lesbian. The so-called Leaders must understand that their consent is never needed for us to have a different political opinion. It’s called “Right to choose just as they have chosen which party to belong”.

@KennyAry1: “When was the last time any of our politicians listened to the yearning of the people and acted on their behalf? The last time I checked these men have been representing themselves and not their people. What do y’all expect when elections in black nations aren’t ‘election’ but ‘selection’.

@CharleslyObim0:

“This is meaningless. Have they ever supported #IPOB #MaziNnamdiKanu. Leaders that tried to kill their own son by inviting the enemies to kill him and many others in his fathers compound in the name of python dance.”

Quote:A mob reportedly set a truck belonging to Dangote Cement Factory, Ibese, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, ablaze after it crushed two men to death.

The driver of the truck is said to have narrowly escaped being lynched.

DAILY POST gathered that the ugly incident happened on Friday along Igbogila-Ilaro road.

It was learnt that the two men were on a motorcycle, heading from Igbogila to Ilaro when the incident happened.

A source told our correspondent that the driver of the Dangote truck swerved off his lane, having a head-on collision with the oncoming motorcycle, otherwise known as okada.

“The two men – rider and passenger, died on the spot,” the source told our correspondent.

The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) confirmed the incident on Saturday.

TRACE spokesman, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said, “according to eyewitness accounts, the Dangote truck driver engaged in reckless driving. He left its lane to face the motorcyclist and the pillion passenger at his back in the other lane and crushed them to death.

“An angry mob later set the Dangote truck on fire while the driver ran away. The case is being handled by the Dangote Plant Police Post.”

Akinbiyi added that one of the dead victims’ bodies had been deposited at Ilaro General Hospital morgue, while the other victim had been buried by the family.

N100 Million Bounty On Nnamdi Kanu: Ohanaeze, Shehu Sani React
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-20-2021, 07:04 AM - No Replies

Quote:Publicity Secretary of Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze, Alex Ogboannaya, has slammed a coalition of Northern groups for placing a bounty on the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The PUNCH had reported that a coalition of 75 northern groups under the aegis of Northern Consensus Movement on Thursday, placed a bounty of N100 for anybody who could provide information on Kanu’s whereabouts and aid his ‘capture’ by law enforcement agencies.

The NCM specifically accused Kanu and IPOB militant wing, Eastern Security Network, of masterminding the recent spate of attacks on northern communities in the South-East. The move by the NCM came one week after the Igbo Elders Council alleged that more than 5,000 Igbo youths had been killed and over 10,000 others thrown into detention camps in the ongoing special security operation in the South-East.

The spokesperson for NCM, Dr Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu, during the press briefing, urged the United States, United Kingdom and European Union to facilitate Kanu’s repatriation to Nigeria to face treasonable charges against him.

Speaking with Saturday PUNCH in an exclusive interview, Ogbonnaya, said, “I congratulate the Northern Coalition Movement for thinking about Nigeria, but if they want to be fair, they should place N100m bounty on the heads of leaders of Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, ISWAP, and other non-state actors, who are known to be terrorists. As you know, Ohanaeze does not agree that the Indigenous People of Biafra is a terrorist group.

“Nnamdi Kanu is not the issue here. There is a major issue of selective justice when you focus on one and leave another.
Igbos all over have been complaining of injustice. No matter the millions of dollars placed on Nnamdi Kanu, it cannot stop agitation from the South-East.”

He blamed the issue of agitations on the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

According to him, when all the appointments are being manned by one section, then, that is not showing federal character.

What the region needs are justice and peaceful dialogue with the Federal Government. If this is done, all these issues of agitations and secession coming from the region will cease. Our advice to the NCM is to direct their agitations to the appropriate authorities,” he added.

Also reacting, Senator Sani, who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th National Assembly, faulted the move by the NCM, stating that the group should have channelled their efforts towards ending the terrorism and banditry currently ravaging their region.

The former lawmaker made the remark on Friday in a post on his official Facebook page.

Sidechic reportedly arrested after married CEO of Super TV was drugged and stabbed to death

Michael Usifo Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, and a director in Super Network Limited, a telecoms firm, has been gruesomely murdered and his alleged sidechic has been arrested in relation to his death.

Ataga, who resides in Banana Island, was reported missing on Sunday, June 13, by his family and friends after he didn’t return to his home in Banana Island and he also didn't turn up at his Victoria Island office.

All efforts to reach Ataga, who would have turned 50 years old on June 18, proved abortive and this caused distress to his wife and children, who live in Abuja.

Unfortunately, his lifeless body was found on Friday morning, June 18, in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stab wounds, according to The Street Journal.

Several withdrawals had been made from his account by then.

Ataga, who is married to a manager in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is said to have met the sidechic about two weeks ago and they began a relationship.

To avoid nosy neighbours, Ataga allegedly decided to rent an Airbnb in Lekki, Lagos, where they both checked in to before the unfortunate incidence, the publication reports.

Following his disappearance, concerned friends, family members, the police and DSS operatives all the way from Abuja through the concerted efforts of Ataga's wife, tracked down the owner of the Airbnb, who received payment from the sidechic’s bank account into which Ataga had previously made a transfer for the payment to.

The apartment was broken into and that was where Ataga was found dead with multiple stab wounds in his neck, chest and thigh.

5 million Naira had been withdrawn from his account before he was killed.

The side chic who was last seen on Tuesday, June 15, when the murder happened, was equally tracked down and arrested alongside the owner of the Airbnb.

Ataga was an amateur boxer and reportedly very strong so his death has come as a shock to friends.

Also, after the sidechic left the apartment following Ataga’s gruesome death, money began to disappear from Ataga’s GTB account. The withdrawals only stopped when an email asked for a change in his account details.

With this, GTBank put an embargo on the account to prevent any further withdrawal.

The mistress is reportedly a prime suspect in Ataga’s murder as security guards at the rentals confirmed that no third party had visited the lovers besides a dispatch rider who made a delivery.

Investigations is still on and the case is still unfolding.

Mike Bamiloye Reacts To Tope Alabi’s Apology To Adeyinka Alaseyori
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 06-20-2021, 06:38 AM - No Replies

Christian dramatist Mike Bamiloye has waded into the issue between singer Tope Alabi and her younger colleague Adeyinka Alaseyori, Igbere TV reports.

The duo has been in the news since Saturday, June 12 following Tope’s public criticism of Adeyinka’s song ‘Oniduro Mi’ which means ‘My Guarantor’. Tope said the song belittles God’s capabilities.

Tope was accused by some social media users of being jealous of Adeyinka. She later apologised, saying she acknowledged her mistake was to have “externalised a personal message in public,” adding, “I’m awfully sorry for doing that.”

Tope’s apology came after Adeyinka asked the public to let the issue die, stating that the former is like a ‘mother’ to her.

Reacting to all that has played out between the duo, Bamiloye wrote the singers a lengthy note which he posted to Instagram on Friday.

Quote:“Welcome back from the Jordan River! Evang. TOPE ALABI, thank you for doing the needful with the Apologies, May the Devil be continually Disgraced and Disappointed over your life,” he wrote.

To Adeyinka, he said, “…Thank you for remaining Calm in the middle of the Storms that the Devil raised up to divide the Music Ministry that is even NOT YET LARGE ENOUGH for End-Time Revival.”

Speaking further to Adeyinka, he said, “Evang. YINKA ALASEYORI, I believe the Lord has allowed what happened to spring a Surprise to the Devil. The Devil meant it for a SHOWDOWN, but the Lord had used it as an UPROAR.

“Within a space of One Week, The Lord made your name Go Viral and People began searching for your music and began to follow you up on Instagram and Facebook. Even, I, I went to search for you and listen to your music and discovered you have been singing for a long time.”

The Mount Zion Faith Ministries’ founder urged her to remain humble in her growth process.

Bamiloye told Tope that her viral comments must have taught her to handle matters better considering how influential she is in the music industry.

He then urged her to “arise” and “give us more songs from Heaven”.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SUNDAY 20TH JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: TRUST AND BOAST IN HIS NAME

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him (Colossians 3:17).

In 1 John 5:13, John writes, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND THAT YE MAY BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD.” Notice the underlined construction; it simply means to put the Name of Jesus to work! His Name is your access to every city and every nation. It’s your guarantee of consistent victory and unending blessings.

The Name of Jesus is bigger than the whole world. Philippians 2:10 says, “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” That Name is named upon you. This is the reason you can be unruffled and at peace in any city, region or nation, irrespective of the adversaries or adversities that you might face. His Name is your security.

Solomon had an idea about this and said in Proverbs 18:10, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”That was in the Old Testament; today we don’t “run” into the Name of The Lord; we were born in Him, and have inherited His Name. We live in and by His Name. Hallelujah!

This was what Peter and John knew and acted out when they healed the lame man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful; they put the Name of Jesus to work (Read Acts 3:1-10). The man was crippled from birth, but Peter fastened his eyes on him and said, “…In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk”(Acts 3:6).

The Bible says Peter grabbed him by the arm, yanked him up, and instantly, his ankle bones received strength. Maybe today, your finances, job, or business is in a “crippled” state; use the Name of Jesus! Are there doors that seem to have been shut against you?Put that Name to work.

Unlike your own name, or any other name, the Name of Jesus can be trusted. The Psalmist said in Psalm 20:7 AMPC, “Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God.”

It doesn’t matter the challenges you might be facing in your finances or in your health; put the Name of Jesus to work. If it’s a pain or a growth in your body, command it to dematerialize in the Name of Jesus, and it shall be so. His Name is the Name you can trust.

PRAYER

I live above the devil, sickness, disease and all the adversities of life, because I live in and by the power of the Name of Jesus. I’m living the higher life of glory prearranged for me in Christ, and the righteousness of God is established through me in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Acts 3:16
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

John 16:23
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.

Philippians 2:9-11
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; 11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

#TALKINGSESSION

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for all that You’ve prepared for me today. My spiritual antenna is raised to hear and receive Your instructions, guidance, and wisdom that’ll propel me in the path of greatness that You’ve ordained for me.

I thank You, blessed Father, for the power of Your Word, and its ability to produce results in my life. My feet is set upon the Rock to stay; that Rock holds me firm and fortified against the pressures and adversities of life.

I dwell in the light wherein there’s no darkness or pain, but victory, dominion, and glory forever. My faith is increased and strengthened to rule over circumstances, and overcome any challenge that may come my way today.

I live above the economy and economics of this world. I am immune to the hardships, corruption, and decadence that ravage the lives of men. I live in the Word, and therefore, in victory and triumph always. I live and walk in health, prosperity, and in all the benefits of salvation in Christ.

The Name of Jesus is named upon me, and I live triumphantly, from glory to glory, heaping success upon success. I go forth today, in victory and dominion over satan, and his cohorts of darkness, and the circumstances of life.

I experience the power and supernatural grace of God today, as I manifest the savour of the knowledge of Christ, in every place, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God bless you
