The suspect
The Delta State Police Command has debunked the rumours that a suspect,Louis Okandeji, who was arrested for alleged defilement has been released.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, June 11, said Okandeji was arrested for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl in Ogunu community, Warri.

Edafe said the suspect is still in police custody contrary to the rumours being circulated on social media, adding that the case under investigation.

"The attention of the Command as been drawn to a recent online publication credited to one Joe Israel in various social media platforms alleging that the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri released one Louis Okandeji who was arrested for allegedly defiling a three year old girl(name withheld) in Ogunu community, Warri Delta state," he stated.

"The Command wishes to state clearly that, the victim is 4years old and not 3yrs as alleged by the publisher. The said Suspect LOUIS OKANDEJI ‘m’ 34yrs was arrested for the offence of defilement on 1st June 2021, after the mother of the victim reported at ‘A’ Division Warri that her daughter who is 4yrs old was allegedly defiled on the 1st of may 2021 by the said suspect. At no time did the Police release the alleged suspect as he is still in custody. Case is currently under investigation.

"Members of the public are urged to ignore any report contrary to the fact stated above, as such post is only aimed at discrediting the image of the Command by some disgruntled elements who are only bent on sabotaging the effort of the Delta State Police Command and also put the image of the Police in a bad light

"The CP urges online media handlers and other publishers to always contact the Delta State Police public relations officer for clarification before publishing their stories that bothers on police and security so that wrong information will not be passed to members of the public.

"While also warning those faceless groups without any professional ethics whose goal is to pull down the the good effort of the command, as the command will ensure that those who derive pleasure in spreading fake news are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.' he added.

Mum prepares to welcome 15th child after already having quintuplets, triplets and twins

The Derricos, who went viral when they welcomed triplets, making their kids 14, are preparing to welcome another child.

Karen, 40, and Deon Derrico, 49, welcomed four sets of multiple births back to back after their two oldest children Darrian, 16 and Derrick, 11, were born (read here).

Now the couple has revealed they may be welcoming a 15th child to the family in the new series of TLC’s Doubling Down with the Derricos.

In a clip of the show, Deon can be seen questioning Karen about her weird food cravings as she munches on pickles.

She says: "The pie smell is making me sick."

Karen then checks her calendar and realizes her period is a week late and Deon demands she takes a pregnancy test, with his mum adding: "When is the line drawn, for real?"

She later adds: "Not another baby. It’s overwhelming with the ones that are here."

Karen and Deon first had Darrian, 16 and Derrick, 11. Then they welcomed twins Dallas and Denver, 10, followed by Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten, 8.

They then welcomed twins Diez and Dior, 3, who are often referred to as the "triplins" as their triplet brother Carter, passed away just a couple of hours after delivery.

In 2019 Karen and Deon became parents again, welcoming triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver, rounding off their brood to 14.

Now, they are preparing for a 15th child.

If anyone is a wizard, it is you. God will punish you - FFK slams Rev Chris Okotie for 'insulting' late Prophet T.B Joshua

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed popular Lagos-based clergyman and senior pastor of the Household of God Church, Chris Okotie, over the cryptic post he shared few days after clergyman, Prophet T.B Joshua died last Sunday, June 6.

Okotie and Joshua were never friends as the former had always suspected the latter's ''source of power.'' Okotie had even come out in public to question Joshua's authenticity as a man of God.

Days after Joshua who is the founder of the Synagogue Church of Nation died, Okotie shared a cryptic post many interpreted to be an attack on TB Joshua's memory. A part of his post read

Quote:''The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.''

Joshua during his practice as a clergyman used the term ''Emmanuel'' during church service.

FFK who is a friend of the deceased clergyman has come out to publicly attack Okotie. In a post shared on his social media handle this morning, FFK slammed Okotie for speaking ill of the clergyman.

Describing Okotie as a coward, FFK said if anyone was a wizard, it must be Okotie and that God will ''punish'' him for attacking Joshua.

His lengthy post reads

Quote:"Africans do not celebrate great men. They rather take delight in celebrating mediocre men. Africans happily destroy great men and if possible look for their mistakes to nail them. So sad that they destroyed Prophet T.B. Joshua on a daily basis. Finally he has left them and what he was doing, they can't do! Evil continent!"- Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Badu Kobi, Glorious Wave Church International, Accra, Ghana, 10th June, 2021.

Prophet Emmanuel Kobi has spoken the truth and he has spoken for millions. I commend his courage.

Sadly Pastor Kris Okotie of Household of God Church International has taken another course and confirmed Kobi's concerns about the nature of the African.
Whilst the rest of the world is busy mourning Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue of All Nations (SCOAN) and celebrating his outstanding ministry and legacy, he has chosen to slander him in the most grievous manner even whilst his body still remains in the mortuary!

He has said the most uncharitable and unprintable things about the Prophet which I refuse to repeat here.

I am always reluctant to join issues publicly with men and women of God but Okotie's insults on my friend and brother, who is no longer here to defend himself, are so grave and damaging that they cannot go unanswered.

My response to him is as follows.
I have always had so much respect and affection for you right from the days that we were at the Nigerian Law School in 1985.

Your life and ministry, including the beautiful songs you used to sing, fascinated and inspired me.

However with your foul-mouthed and vicious assault and utterly inexplicable, irresponsible and unprovoked attack on the person of TB Joshua, all that has gone with the wind. Today I have nothing but contempt, scorn and disdain for you and, simply put, I loathe and despise you.
To borrow our President's words, I will now talk to you in the language that you can understand.

You mock my brother in death yet you appear to have forgetten that death comes to us all. It is only a matter of time. Evidently you have no respect for yourself and no fear of the Living God whom you claim to serve.

Even if you never liked TB Joshua or you had reason to suspect that his source of power was questionable, couldn't you have just kept your mouth shut and let those of us that believed in him, loved him and respected him mourn him in peace?

You seek to villify and shame the memory of a humble, gentle, decent and kind soul who was a million times the man and servant of God that you are or could ever be and who has just gone to meet his maker.

You insult the memory of a man who was a great inspiration and source of strength to millions of God-fearing and decent people from all over the world and you have sought to dishonor and discredit his ministry, his memory, his family, his friends and his legacy. God will surely punish you for this.

Worse of all is the fact that you are a coward who, as is characteristic of all cowards, waited until he died and was no longer around to defend himself before you opened your dirty little mouth to insult him.

You call him the wizard of Endor but if anybody is a wizard it is you. If anyone is a magician it is you. If anyone is a dark force and wicked soul that indulges in necromancy and devil worship, it is you. If anyone is a follower of satan, it is you. If anyone is a fake Pastor and false Prophet, it is you.

The more you attempt to dishonor a man like TBJ and bring sorrow to his wife, children, admirers, followers and Church members all over the world the more God will cause you to suffer failure and sorrow and to shed tears.

There are millions of us that love this great son of the South West and indeed Nigeria even though we are not even members of his Church. We admire him and stand by him even in death. You are not fit to lick his shoes or to clean his posterior.

I advise you to respect yourself and respect the office and calling which you claim to have. I counsel you to set aside your hate-filled and envy-fuelled obsession with this great man and leave him alone.

You are meant to be a man of God who prays for and helps to heal the wounds of those who have suffered the loss of loved ones.

You are not meant to pour salt on those wounds and inflict even more pain by damning the memory and destroying the legacy of those they have lost.
You are also meant to pray for the forgiveness of the sins of the departed and call on the Lord to grant them eternal peace.

You are not meant to ask God to punish them and ask for them to burn in hell.
What you have done and the words you have used against TBJ is a great embarrassment to the Church, to every Christian and Muslim cleric and leader in this county and to every true believer.
It is a disgrace. It is an outrage. It is madness. It is evidence of a diseased mind, deep psychosis and chronic delusions of grandeur and I urge you to have your head examined.

Even the greatest sinner, once repented, deserves God's love, mercy and forgiveness in death. That is what the glorious Gospel teaches us and that is why our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, shed His blood on the cross.

None of us is free of sin and we all fall short of the glory of God. You are not perfect and neither am I. We must all carry our crosses and burdens through this oftentimes difficult journey of life and more often than not we all face extraordinary challenges and make inexcusable mistakes.

That is what makes us human and ultimately only God has the right to judge us. Only He sees our hearts. Only He knows our deepest secrets.

TBJ, though a tried and tested man of God who shook the entire world with his remarkable ministry and who was undoubtedly one of God's 'end-time' Generals, never claimed that he was a Saint or that he was infallible and neither can you, me or anyone else.
We must all repent and make our peace with our God before our life's journey ends and we must do so in the fear of our Lord and in all humility.

TBJ has run his race and finished his course and I have no doubt that he has been welcomed into paradise by the hosts of Heaven and our God.
I have no doubt that he would have received a massive commendation for the great work that he did for the Lord and the Church whilst on earth.

I have no doubt that the Lord would have thanked him for the millions of souls that he brought into the Kingdom and led to Christ in his 40 years of ministry.
I have no doubt that he now resides in glory with our Resurrected Lord in the peace, comfort, blessing and joy of Heaven.

The question for people like you who seek to diminish, destroy and judge him even in death is whether you will ever get to Heaven as well or whether, when your work on earth is done, you will end up in hell where every son and daughter of perdition, every unrepentant servant of satan and every hater and wicked soul is destined to go.

Permit me to end with an insightful contribution from Mr. Igho David which you would do well to read over and over again. He said,

"Even the demonic Jezebeel described the great Jehu, who God had anointed to be King of Israel, as a murderer and all sorts of other names. Yet in reality she was rather the murderer, thief, liar, evil and possessed one and she was the one that was controlled by the demons that her father had dedicated her to and served. Jezebeel was damn eloquent when she spoke about Jehu just like Pastor Chris Okotie was when he spoke against Prophet TB Joshua even at his death. The spirit of Jezebeel doesn't just mean a loose, lying, wicked, hate-filled, manipulative and murderous woman with heavy make-up on her face and long painted nails. The spirit of Jezebeel can possess and control even Pastors that are called by God".

I concur.
Finally hear this. Before you mount your accursed pulpit, unleash your venomous tongue, cry your caustic cry and lift your poisonous pen to launch yet another vicious and unprovoked attack against an innocent and kind soul who did nothing but make all those around him happy and who has just passed away, I urge you to meditate on the following scriptures.

The Bible says, "let he who is free of sin cast the first stone".
It says "touch not my annointed and do my Prophets no harm".
It says "who is he that lays a charge before God's elect? It is Christ that justifies!"

For a celebrated man of God like you to neglect these admonitions is a grave error which may result in unimaginable consequences for you and what remains of your tattered ministry.
Christianity is about being humane, kind, charitable, gentle, long-suffering and humble.

It is about having empathy for the weak, the suffering, the vulnerable and those that are in pain.
It is about loving the unlovable and forgiving those that have hurt and offended you.

It is about kindness, peace, long-suffering and the ability and desire to bring joy to all those around you.
It is about celebrating and encouraging the success of others that are leaders and members of the Body of Christ and it is about protecting the mother Church from ridicule, shame, contempt and destruction from those who hate our Lord and who have contempt for our faith.

These are virtues and qualities that Prophet T.B. Joshua espoused and exhibited throughout his life.
Any so-called man or woman of God who fails to appreciate these virtues, who refuses to acknowledge and practice them and who goes out of his or her way to destroy the reputation, name and Ministry of his or her fellow clerics or, worse still, that of one of God's 'end-time' Generals, is unworthy of being called a servant of God and is nothing but scum.
Such a creature is an enemy within, an accuser of the brethren, an agent of Beelzebub, a lying snake, a self-absorbed nincompoop and a ravenous and savage beast.
May God deliver you and may you find peace.

El-Rufai: Bandits, Killer Herdsmen More Daring Under Buhari
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-11-2021, 07:49 PM - No Replies

Quote:Governor Nasir El-Rufai says since 2015, bandits, killer herdsmen, and Boko Haram have become more daring under President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr El-Rufai is considered an ally of the incumbent president who assumed power in 2015 with a vow to crush Boko Haram and other criminal elements ravaging Nigeria.

Speaking at the second quarter 2021 meeting of the directors of state commands of the State Security Service (SSS) in the North-West, in Kaduna on Thursday, Mr El-Rufai admitted that insecurity had worsened under Mr Buhari though the federal government has particularly and repeatedly claimed to have decimated Boko Haram.

“That the criminal gangs have become more daring and dangerous since recovering from their near defeat in 2015 is obvious across the country,” Mr El-Rufai acknowledged.

Apart from the protracted violence in Southern Kaduna, Mr El-Rufai’s state has become a hotbed of banditry where criminals kidnap for ransom and violently attack communities.

“I know our state is not where it should be in terms of internal security,” the governor admitted.

Security reports by the state government showed that over 300 persons were killed and about 1,000 kidnapped people kidnapped between January and April 2021.

Mr El-Rufai lamented Kaduna and other parts of the country did not get enough security cover from Mr Buhari’s regime.

He stated, “We in the Kaduna state government are convinced that we do not have enough boots on the ground to cover the whole of Nigeria. We have too few policemen. We have too few officers’ men and women of the armed forces.

“We need to have many more. Unfortunately, you cannot have more overnight. You have to get the right people. You have to train them before we can get to that ideal number of the number of boots on the ground.”

But Mr El-Rufai touted his efforts to tackle the security crisis.

“We have in the last five years been installing a closed-circuit TV system across the Kaduna metropolis,” he told the SSS directors. “We hope that this project will be completed within the next one year, and with that, the police and other security agencies will be empowered to be able to take pre-emptive action to deter criminals.”

Regarding his building a drone centre, he explained, “We have invested in drones, and we are investing in more drones, working with the air force and the SSS to see that these drones are deployed to provide additional intelligence. We are also building a forensic laboratory to help the police and other security agencies in crime detection and prevention.”

President Buhari's ARISE News Interview (video)
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-11-2021, 07:44 PM - No Replies

Quote:ARISE News spoke exclusively to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. It's the first interview he's granted since beginning his second term in office more than two years ago. He told us about his worries for different parts of the country - including the northwest which he said was his biggest concern. He says the people there are the same - with the same culture - but despite that they're killing each other.

He told us he's given the police and military the power to be ruthless with those behind the insecurity in the region. But the president wasn't so open when it came to the topic of Twitter - saying only that he'd keep that to himself. Here's our full interview.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lKTSdpc0go

Quote:17 Things President Buhari Addressed in His Interview with Arise News

In an interview with Arise News host Tundun Abiola, Reuben Abati, Arise News Chairman Nduka Obaigbena, and current head of the editorial board of ThisDay, Olusegun Adeniyi, President Muhammadu Buhari publicly addressed subjects such as the Twitter suspension, IPOB, insecurity, economy, and corruption in Nigeria.

On Border Closure & Corruption

We are impressed with Nigerians who went back to the farm. We made sure our neighbours especially Niger Republic understand it. The Niger government cooperated with us. (Fighting) corruption is very difficult under this system (and even under the military system). But in this system, doing things with immediate effect is not possible because those who have the money can hire first class lawyers and cases may take 10 years. I assure you, despite the problem with the system, if we have correct intelligence that someone is not accountable, we ease them out. Those in top positions in my government know this.

On Shekau’s Death & Security in North East

Governor Zulum of Borno told me Boko Haram are Nigerians. You can’t kill innocent people and say “God is Great”. We have problem of unemployment. The level of poverty is almost unimaginable. Those who are really keeping in touch with what we are doing, know the difference between when we came in and now. The people in North East and South South can tell you the difference.

On Banditry

We have changed Service Chiefs, who were also part of the system during previous tenures and tasked them to go round the country and make changes where necessary. We can’t divulge what they are doing so as not to make the bandits aware of our strategy.

The important thing is local security operations. We have police in every town and I’ve been pushing them to sustain their work. Bandits are experiencing heavy casualties.

On State Police

I’ve told governors who came to me to complain about herders and farmers crises to go back to the old system where traditional leaders, police, traders and elders meet regularly to discuss security situation in their localities and solve them. And if it is above them, they pass it on. Governors can’t go round and win elections and then sit tight and wait for somebody to do their jobs for them.

On Open Grazing

What I did was ask governors to go and dig the gazette of the first republic. There are cattle routes and grazing areas. If you allow your cattle to stray into any farm, you are arrested. The problem is trying to understand the culture of the cattle rearers. The Nigerian cattle rearer has nothing else about from machetes and sticks to cut trees for cattle. Fulani herders from outside Nigeria (who look the same as Nigerians) move to Nigeria and they look like they are from Nigeria and some of them carry AK 47.

Devolution of Power

The problem is the local government has been virtually killed because those who became local government chairmen have been compromised. If you LG is entitled to N300m, a letter will be prepared for you to sign that you’ve received N300m and you’ll be given N100m.

Protection of Children and Schools and Lifting Families Out of Poverty

Try and appreciate FG’s efforts – change of service chiefs, e.t.c but we don’t want to give publicity to their strategy so as not to make real criminals aware. We’ve given security agencies the go ahead to treat criminals everywhere in the language they understand and in a few weeks you’ll begin to see results.

South East Security Crises

IPOB is like a dot in a circle, if they want to exist, they’ll have no access to anywhere. And the way they are spread all over the country, having business and property, I think IPOB doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Anyway, we’ve said we’ll talk to them in the language they understand, we’ll organise the police and military to pursue them, that’s what we can do and we’ll do it.

Lifting Suspension Of Twitter

I’ll keep it to myself

Including South Easterners (and the South in General) in Government

Positions in government/military have to be earned. You can’t just pick somebody to balance up. People have to go through the system to rise up.

On Corruption and Members of Other Parties Joining APC

Because one or two governors joined APC? What this administration can do is make sure APC lasts beyond this admin. That’s why the party is doing registration at all levels. However, you’re being very unfair to us when you say joining APC makes all your alleged corrupt practices go away.

Power Rotation in APC

Let’s allow the party to decide. We started from bottom up. The party committee has from now till end of this month to come with a strategy for general elections. Those who want to be president, they better join APC

On Making Nigeria Attract Foreign Direct Investment

You remember (during the End SARS protests) the young people who wanted to march here and remove me? Tell the youths, if they want jobs, they should behave themselves and make sure the environment is secure so people can invest. Nobody will invest money in an unstable environment.

Nigeria’s Debt, Diversifying the Economy and Infrastructure

Ask the previous governments who earned more from oil where the money and/or infrastructure is. We are building roads and rails. No country develops without infrastructure. Did you ask those before me what they did with the money they earned? There have been a lot of waste.

Infrastructure to Niger Republic

How many neighbours do we have? You have to cultivate your relationship with your neighbours, if you don’t, you are in trouble. Nigerians have first cousins and relatives in Nigeria, Benin Republic.
Niger has discovered oil, we want them to transport their products through Nigeria instead of Benin by building rail (to Maradi) and good roads.

What Next After Office?

I’ve never abandoned my farm. When I leave office, I’ll go back there and keep myself busy. For now, I’ll keep trying to convince Nigerians that I mean very well. I want to make sure Security, Economy and Fighting Corruption, there are visible changes. On security, we’ve done well all over the country, just the North West is trying to overwhelm me.

His Legacy

I’ll allow Nigerians to say it. I hope they’ll be fair to me. I want them to analyse how things were when we came in and how they are when we’re leaving.

Agba Jalingo, a right activist and newspaper publisher has been arrested by police in Calabar, Cross River State, ahead of the nationwide protest on June 12.

Cross River Watch reported that Agba was arrested at the police headquarters in Calabar on Friday June 11, where he went to honour an invitation by the Commissioner of Police in the State, Kayode Sikiru.

It was gathered that he was invited by the police to discuss the planned nationwide June 12 protest which he was said to be coordinating in the state. After the discussion ended, he was reportedly referred to another officer who informed him that the police had received a petition of him being an arms dealer.

Police spokesperson in Cross River State, Irene Ugbo said;

Quote:“There was a petition against him that he is a member of drug dealers, so we called him to question him.
“He is still writing his stuff (response to the petition). When he finishes we’ll let him go if we find him not wanting."

Agba had earlier been arrested and arraigned in court by the Cross River state government after he published an article in 2019, alleging that Governor Ben Ayade could not account for N500 million belonging to the Cross River State Government. He was accused then of terrorism and treasonable felony.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY 11TH JUNE.

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 3:2).

Matthew, in the verse above, used the term, “the kingdom of heaven” as he talked about the message that John the Baptist came preaching. But when you read Mark’s account, he (Mark) used the term, “the kingdom of God”: “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).

Whenever the writers of the Synoptic gospels— Matthew, Mark and Luke report the same event, with some disparity, Matthew’s account is likely to be the most verbatim in quoting Jesus, because among the three writers, he was the only one of the twelve apostles, hearing directly from Jesus. A good example is when He used the expression “kingdom of heaven” and when He used “kingdom of God.”
You might ask, “Is there a difference between the two?” Though synonymously used, both expressions are clearly different.

The Kingdom of Heaven is that part of the Kingdom of God established in the earth, and headed by Jesus. In fact, the Greek rendering is “Kingdom of the heavens,” which means a kingdom from heaven.

“Kingdom of God” refers to the rulership of God, the dominion of God, the realm of God. The Kingdom of God is universal; it goes beyond mere territories. It goes as far as to your heart—which is why the Kingdom of God can be established in your heart. Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21).

Jesus came to establish the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth, to project the Kingdom of God, as the ambassador of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of Heaven is the Embassy of the Kingdom of God. So, Jesus sets up His headquarters in the earth and His job is to bring people into God’s Kingdom.

In essence, the Kingdom of Heaven is about the work of Jesus Christ in the earth; it’s the extension of the Kingdom of God in the earth, headed by Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of Heaven is here now, of which we’re a part. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, what a life you’ve brought to us, and brought us into! I thank you for the Kingdom of God has been set up in my heart: the peace, the beauty, the glory, grace, and the life of God are fully functional in my spirit; expressed in and through me. I’m determined, more than ever, to tell the whole world this glorious news. The Kingdom of God is here in Christ and functional now in my heart. Blessed be God!

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am an offspring of the Word. The Word of God influences and dominates my thoughts. It produces in me the ability to do right at all times. Grace and peace are multiplied in my life.

The eyes of understanding are enlightened; I see the invisible and I am powered to do the impossible. Hallelujah! I am in God’s place for my life; I am seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, far above all principality and power.

My mind is blessed of the Lord! The world and its negative forces can’t influence my thoughts, because my life is a reflection of the beauty and excellence of Christ! I think only those thoughts that bring Him glory, honour, and praise.

My mind is full of possibilities because the Word of God has given me the mind of Christ. Daily, as I meditate on the Word, I make my way prosperous. My whole being is saturated with the anointing and power of God’s Word, such that thoughts of success, possibilities and glory are inspired within me!

I am anointed for such a time as this. Hallelujah! The unfavorable economic situation in the world isn’t set against me; therefore, I am not moved by what I see or hear! I am an answer from God; a channel of blessing, through me, the nations of the earth are blessed.

I am the seed of Abraham, and it’s my heritage to soar in prosperity even in austere times. I grow stronger by the day, like a cedar in Lebanon, and flourish like the palm tree. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

God bless you

Brazil's tallest woman' married to man who stands at 5ft 4 reveals what it's like being one of the tallest women in the world

An aspiring model believed to be "one of the world's tallest women" has opened up about her condition.

Elisane Silva, 26,  started to notice she was much taller than her classmates and even her family at the age of 10. At that time, she was already 5ft 9in despite being a child. Now, she stands at 6ft 8in.

Her mum Ana Maria Ramos is just 5ft 4in and her dad Luiz Jorge is 5ft 7in so they didn't think it was down to genes.

Elisane's height was due to a benign tumour on her pituitary gland which caused giantism and an overproduction of the growth hormone. Elisane, from Brazil, had no idea about the tumour until 2010 when she had tests on live TV as her family couldn't pay for it.

Now she's known unofficially as "Brazil's tallest woman".

In 2015, the model married Francinaldo Da Silva Carvalho, 31, and he stands at just 5ft 4in.  They met in 2011 and the couple quickly fell in love, despite the height difference.

Elisane said growing up wasn't easy for her as she was often bullied with people calling her names like "giraffe" and "lamppost".

She said: "I remember locking myself up at home as I felt so sick with the comments and words people were constantly saying.

"I decided to give up and it was the hardest decision I have ever had to make, as I wanted to continue studying.

"At the time, I was 17, so my parents didn't have much to say on the matter and I was really lost about where to go next in life."

About her relationship with her husband, Elisane said: "I felt an instant connection the moment I met him, that I didn't even notice his height.

"Francinaldo stands at just 5ft 4in, which is nearly 2ft shorter than me – but I didn't care.

"Although he was curious about my height and condition, he didn't make any evil comments, nor did he judge me.

"I fell for him right there and then, as he was the first person to treat me like a human being and not some freak of nature."

Elisane added: "We used to get comments in the street, I'm no longer the centre of attention now we have our beautiful son.

"Angelo is already 3ft 3in at three, but I don't believe he will grow to be as tall as me because I don't think my condition is hereditary.

"I think he will grow up to be average height – but even if not, he should embrace the unique asset he has been given."

Now Elisane is working towards becoming a professional model, a dream she's had since she was a teenager. But despite no agencies picking up on her portfolio, the aspiring model says photo sessions have helped with her confidence.

Quote:Nigeria's Inspector of General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, was booed in Lagos during his visit to the state on Wednesday.

He was booed by Lagos residents around Oshodi-Anthony Expressway while en route to an event, FIJ reports.

Alkali’s mission in the state is not clear but the state police public relations officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, told FIJ the IG had just landed and his address would soon be made known.

In preparation for the arrival of the police IG, the state police blocked the Oshodi-Lagos Airport Road and Maryland-Ojota axis of the highway.

Many Lagos residents were however unhappy with it as they were stuck in traffic for hours.

As the police IG’s convoy passed the blocked road, the crowd booed and called him names in Yoruba. Some shouted “thief”, others screamed “you will never do well”.

The IGP’s visit comes three days to the June 12 nationwide protests that have been planned to take place at Freedom Park, Ojota.

The protests, being championed by civil society organisations and human rights activists, are to kick against bad governance under the President Muhammadu Buhari regime and his anti-democratic ways.

Seyi Shay On Beef: Tiwa Savage Attacked Me, Said I Will Not Have A Child (Audio)

Quote:Nigerian singer Seyi Shay has accused rival Tiwa Savage of placing a curse on her that she will not have a child, Igbere TV reports.

In an audio obtained by Pulse Nigeria on Tuesday, the Nigerian Idol judge recounted how both women almost came to fisticuff at a salon in Lekki, Lagos.

A video of the two women clashing and exchanging swear words had earlier gone viral on Tuesday.

According to Seyi, she was at the salon to get her hair done for her Idol’s appearance on Sunday, June 13.

The 35-year-old said she felt tension in the salon and decided to walk over to say hi to Tiwa and they both exchanged pleasantries.

However, 20 minutes later, Seyi said Savage walked over to her and that was how the argument started.

Shay revealed she was shocked by the unexpected outburst stressed that Savage’s beef with her was not about the #FvckYouChallenge verse she recorded in April 2019 as she confirmed that they have met each other more than twice since her #FvckYouChallenge and they exchanged pleasantries on all occasions.

“We’ve even entered private jet together, we’ve taken pictures together,” Seyi said.

Seyi Shay also noted that the part she did not see on the trending video is where Tiwa said in Yoruba “Seyi you won’t have a child I heard you are looking for a child, God will not give you a child because you have a bad spirit”.

Tiwa was, however, seen in the video swearing that God should take her own son Jamil Balogun if she ever talked bad about Seyi Shay in the media.

Seyi said she felt hurt because Tiwa knew she had a miscarriage and used that to release the “venom” in her.

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo has expressed displeasure over Nigeria's current situation, IgbereTV reports.

Sharing a photo of himself in a sorrowful state, he wrote:

Quote:"For the first time in a very long while, I find nothing to be cheerful about.

Too many deaths of even people I know, not to mention the national carnage.

Uncertainty holds us all ransom.

If ever the use of “The Hand of God” in theatre is more needed, it is now, in this Nigerian Play of Despair and Desolation.

Divine intervention, where you dey?

Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti, has told Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid to stop parading himself as a Grammy nominee,

Kuti claimed Wizkid does not deserve to be called a Grammy nominee.
In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, Kuti indirectly asked Wizkid to stop desist from claiming to be a Grammy nominee.

He explained that he, Femi Kuti, King Sunny Ade and Burna Boy, were the only Nigerian musicians to be nominated by the Grammy.

Femi Kuti reacts as Fela loses 2021 Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction
He also insisted that since Wizkid was featured in a song that won a Grammy award, he had no right to say he had won a Grammy for Nigeria, as the song belonged to American singer, Beyonce.

“There are only four artists in Nigeria (to have ever been) nominated for the Grammy, and I am one of them,” Kuti added, directly under the video post.

Recall that a song Wizkid featured in won a Grammy Award in March this year.

The 30-year-old won the Best music video for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ with Beyoncé, while Burner Boy won the award for the Best Global Music Album, ‘Twice as Tall’.

Two suspects arrested after they were caught on CCTV burgling church

Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested for allegedly burgling a Redeemed Christian Church of God parish in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The suspects, Fidelis Francis, 28, and Lukman Jimoh, 40, are accused of scaling the fence before breaking into the church using an iron bar at about 2am on Monday, June 7.

When they were done with the operation, they hid in a bush. However, the police, having received a distress call about the attack, arrived at the venue and laid ambush for them.

5 hours after hiding in the bush, they emerged and made their way to the vehicle they parked close to the bush and officials of the state police command arrested them.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, June 9.

Oyeyemi said: "Upon the distress call, the DPO Sagamu Division, CSP Okiki Agunbiade, mobilised his men and the local vigilantes to the scene, but the robbers had escaped by scaling the fence before the arrival of the policemen.

"While combing the surrounding bush, the policemen sighted a Lexus saloon car with number plate KJA 469 EP parked at a get-away position not too far away from the church.

"The operatives suspected that the vehicle might have been parked by the suspects, mounted surveillance in the area and waited for who would come for the vehicle at that odd hour.

"After waiting patiently for about five hours, the two suspects came, and while trying to move the vehicle away, the policemen swooped on them and got them apprehended.

"On searching the vehicle, two iron bars similar to the ones recovered from the scene of crime were recovered from the car.

"This further increased the police suspicion and the two men were taken to the church, where the CCTV footage was played and the two suspects were seen in the footage as they were breaking into the church.

"Having seen the video evidence, the two suspects were left with no alternative but to confess to the crime."

The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has directed an in-depth investigation into the case with a view to charging the suspects as soon as possible.

Continue Tweeting, National Assembly Minority Caucus Tells Nigerians
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-10-2021, 08:37 AM - No Replies

Quote:The Joint minority caucus of the Senate and the House of Representatives has called on Nigerians to ignore the ban placed by the Federal Government on Twitter and continue to use the social media platform.

The National Assembly caucus, which described the ban as draconian, decried that many Nigerians are losing their sources of livelihood to the action.

The Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe; and Minority Leader of the House, Ndudi Elumelu, stated this in a statement issued on Wednesday, titled ‘NASS Joint Minority Caucus Asks Nigerians to Continue Using Twitter.’

According to the statement, the joint caucus met over the ban by the All Progressives Congress government and “restates its condemnation of the embargo as draconian and unacceptable.”

The opposition lawmakers also dismissed threats by the government to arrest and prosecute Nigerians for using twitter, calling on Nigerians to “go ahead and use their Twitter (handles) as they would not be contravening any law in Nigeria or any international statute.”

The lawmakers said they recognise the provisions of Articles 19 and 20 of the United Nations Charter on Fundamental Human Rights, which Nigeria is a signatory to, as well as provisions of Sections 39 and 36 (12) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), stating that “by these provisions, no one will be violating any law for using twitter in Nigeria.

The statement partly read, “As lawmakers, the joint caucus is pained by the anguish Nigerians, especially the youths, who find the use of twitter as a means of livelihood and genuine social interaction, are passing through just because the APC-led Federal Government feels slighted that an individual’s post, was deleted by Twitter for ethical violation.

“The joint caucus, therefore, calls on Nigerians to use various opportunities offered by technology and continue making use of twitter since such does not violate any law in our country.

“It is agonising that Nigeria and Nigerians have been losing billions of naira on a daily basis since the ban on Twitter. This is completely unacceptable as it is worsening the already biting economic hardship and frightening unemployment level in the country.

“Moreover, the ban on Twitter in Nigeria appears to be in favour of criminal and terrorist elements, whose activities fester in an environment of suppressed information flow.”

The caucus sympathised with the organised private sector, manufacturing and service providing companies; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; online businesses owners and other hard working entrepreneurs across the country, “whose genuine business and means of livelihood have been crippled by the unwarranted ban on Twitter by the APC Federal Government.”

The minority lawmakers also identified with students, research-based organisations, media houses, the organised civil society, faith-based organisations and community groups, among others, whose information-based activities have been violently disrupted by the ban.

“In the same vein, the joint caucus sympathises with regional, states, local government as well as members of the international community, whose genuine and constructive activities have been crippled by the prohibition of twitter in Nigeria

“It also identifies with traditional rulers, who have even found Twitter as a means of communicating with the constituents, especially in this era of insecurity in the country,” the statement added.

The Joint Caucus vehemently berates the APC-led government for abandoning its duty of addressing the serious economic and security problems confronting our nation to rather focus on dissipating energy victimizing Nigerians over their disagreement with Twitter for deleting a post by an individual.

The Caucus counsels the Federal Government to swallow its pride, accept its misdoing and go and settle whatever issue it has with Twitter instead of this resort to inflicting pains on Nigerians.

Meanwhile, one other suspect, Usman Abass, 38, was arrested with 6.8kg cannabis sativa concealed in a sack containing used clothes, which the suspect bought at Alaba International Market in Lagos. The suspect upon interrogation claimed that one Baba gave him the exhibit to deliver to one Lawali in Katsina State before his arrest by a team of the Commands operatives attached to Jebba Area Command during a routine stop and search operation. The suspect confessed that he had transported cannabis sativa once to Katsina and that the latest trip was his second.

The previous day, Friday 4th June, operatives of the Delta State Command of the Agency arrested 20-year-old Chukwujeku Lucky at Ogwashi Uku, Delta State with multiple drugs weighing 38.90 kilograms. Some of the drugs seized from his apartment where he serves as a salesman include: 68 blocks of cannabis sativa weighing 38.7kg; 498 pinches of cocaine (50.9 grams); 33 pinches of heroin (4.4 grams); 304 capsules of Tramadol (91grams); 72 tablets of Swinol (27 grams), and 26 grams of Methamphetamine.

While commending the Commanders, officers and men of both Kwara and Delta state Commands for the arrests and seizures, Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) said the development would in no small measure reduce the availability of illicit substances available to bandits and other criminal elements who take them as enhancers of their evil enterprise. He charged them to remain vigilant and continue to acquaint themselves with the latest disingenuous modes of concealment and transportation of illicit drugs by defiant traffickers.

Criminals Dressed In Military Uniform Killed In Kogi (Graphic Photos)

Quote:#BELLOEFFECT: VICIOUS CRIMINAL GANGS, SMASHED IN KOGI

Criminals dressed in military uniform today met their waterloo in Ajaokuta Area of Kogi State when the Nigerian Police repelled what would have been another circle of vicious kidnapping attack. The alleged criminals numbering five had blocked the road stopping vehicles until the men of the Anti-Crime Patrol team of the Nigerian Police swooped on them and engaged them in fierce gun battle. Two of the criminals were killed as three others escaped into the bush with gunshot injuries.

The police team are on the trails of the fleeing suspected kidnappers, combing bush areas around the location of incidence. The Police have in their possession items recovered from the criminals, that include two wooden AK47, 25 assorted GSM handsets, one First Bank ATM card bearing Mohammed Jamiu and undisclosed sum of money.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government has praised the gallantry and swift response of the security forces who are ever poised to secure the state from criminal elements. The Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello through his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu called on citizens to go about their normal businesses as the state is battle ready to confront criminal elements and other related shenanigans.

“Kogi State has no abode for criminal elements, the state exists only for law abiding persons. Whoever think he can engage in crime will be decisively dealt. Our gallant security forces are on ground to ensure lives and property are secured, and the State will continue to provide the needed leadership”.

Buhari Has 99 Problems, But Twitter Not One Of Them - Fisayo Soyombo (Aljazeera)
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-10-2021, 08:25 AM - No Replies

Quote:When on October 14, 2020, I saw Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s tweet “Donate via #Bitcoin to help #EndSARS”, I knew that he would eventually run into trouble with the Nigerian authorities. No government in the world would have offered him a pat on the back for inviting donations to a movement that shook the foundations of its power.

From the Nigerian government’s perspective, the tech giant founder had helped increase the country’s internal crisis by leveraging his huge global reach to appeal for funds for protesters, who were chanting not only “EndSARS” but also “Buhari must go” in the streets of Lagos. There are a million and one respectable ways for a government to react, but the current Nigerian government did not find one.

So when on June 2, Twitter deleted a tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari referring to the 1960s civil war in southeast Nigeria and threatening violence, the response from the Nigerian authorities was swift. On June 4, the information ministry announced that it was suspending the social media platform in the country.

Make no mistake: Buhari’s deleted tweet was the climax – not the trigger – of the Nigerian government’s anger with Twitter. Its real problem with the platform is its status as the most prominent tool for civic slating of Buhari’s underwhelming government. This reached a head during the #EndSARS protest, probably Nigeria’s most organic protest in its recent history.

Surely, that protest could not have happened without Twitter. It was the platform on which victims of police brutality shared their sufferings at the hands of the men in black from the infamous Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Having spent days in a police cell and in prison undercover myself, I knew the majority of these stories were true.

In early October 2020, news of SARS officers harassing Nigerian youth and in one case, killing a young man, trended on Twitter and caused outrage across the country. This triggered a continuous outpouring of similar experiences shared by victims, which inflamed public anger and pushed many to take to the streets to demand the disbanding of SARS.

The biggest open secret in Nigeria about the protest was that the government hired thugs to attack protesters and infiltrate and discredit their movement. It is on record that state agents invested a lot of effort in covering up the deaths and injuries from the October 20 military raid that brought the protest movement down.

Eight months after the end of the demonstrations, Twitter remains the only platform where these events are sporadically revisited, sometimes on the 20th day of the month but many times without any specific reason. Twitter remains a thorn in the flesh of the Nigerian government, the one lasting remembrance ground for the blood that was shed at the Lekki Toll Plaza in Lagos on October 20, 2020.

Speaking shortly after Twitter removed Buhari’s tweet, Minister of Information Lai Mohammed accused the social media platform of “funding #EndSARS protesters”. He also criticised Twitter for its failure to delete incendiary tweets by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the secessionist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is calling for the creation of an independent state (Biafra) in southeast Nigeria.

But Mohammed ignored the fact that Buhari’s tweet was massively reported by the public. Furthermore, Kanu’s secession-inciting tweets are nothing compared with the weight of a president threatening citizens with the treatment dished out during a civil war remembered for the genocide suffered by people in Nigeria’s southeast.

Buhari’s government exists – supposedly – on the mandate of the people; Kanu exists because of the failures of the government. Therefore, the two parties cannot be charged with the same levels of responsibility to the public. That this government cannot see the divisiveness of Buhari’s tweet is quite disturbing.

As far as IPOB is concerned, it is a self-made problem. Twitter merely serves as the amplifier of growing grievances. Many of those who reported Buhari’s offensive tweet have no sympathy for IPOB, but they are worried about the government’s obsession with Kanu and his people at the expense of more glaring and devastating threats to Nigeria’s existence.

In 2017, the Buhari government had the army declare IPOB a “militant terrorist group” in violation of the country’s Terrorism Act, which stipulates that only a judge can make that declaration, before subsequently acting in accordance with the law. Four years later, it still has not mustered the courage to so declare militants from herder communities as terrorist groups, despite their designation in 2015 by the Global Terrorism Index as the fourth deadliest terror group in the world after Boko Haram, ISIS and al-Shabab.

Just a few days ago, militants killed at least 25 and razed houses, shops and a palace in a town in Nigeria’s southwest, but they are not yet terrorists because of Buhari’s apparent bias for herders, being one himself. Bandits are terrorising Nigeria’s North; since December, they have abducted close to a thousand people and their unofficial spokesman Sheikh Abubakar Gumi often burnishes their image in the media. Still, to the Nigerian government, killers and kidnappers are no terrorists.

Minister Mohammed’s claim that Twitter has become a platform for “activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence” is implausible. The biggest threat to Nigeria is the lack of inspirational governance.

Nigerians are hungry. The naira continues to weaken. People’s purchasing power is decreasing. Unemployment is biting. Quality healthcare is lacking. Herdsmen, bandits and militants are killing people with impunity.

Solve these problems and watch Kanu disappear into obscurity. Nobody will listen to him if they have food on their table. Nobody will join the June 12 demonstrations, which some activist groups are calling for to protest the Twitter ban, if they were healthy and gainfully employed. June 12 is a significant day in Nigeria’s history because it was the date of Nigeria’s freest and fairest election, held in 1993. The result was annulled by the then dictatorial regime of Ibrahim Babangida.

Good governance is the ultimate secret to securing Nigeria’s corporate existence. Twitter, which Buhari used in 2015 to call on Nigerians to condemn the failure of the Jonathan government, cannot suddenly be the problem in 2021. It should not be taken away from the people currently using it to criticise his failings – unless, of course, he is saying we can count the remaining two years of his tenure an accelerated waste.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

 THURSDAY 10TH JUNE.

HIS TRUE DELIGHT

Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men (Proverbs 8:30-31).

Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16- 17). These words corroborate the Spirit’s true desire as revealed in Proverbs 8:31 RSV: “…delighting in the sons of men.”

The desire of the Spirit of God, who is the conveyor of the blessings of God and of all that’s been given to us in Christ Jesus is to dwell in you and have fellowship with you. His desire wasn’t to live in heaven without us, but to be with us, and in us.

This explains one major reason we got filled with the Holy Spirit. He came to live in us because He loves us and desires deep fellowship with us. That’s why Jesus encouraged us about fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It also brings to mind Paul’s beautiful prayer for the Christians in Corinth: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14).

At the end of all things, His ultimate desire will be made manifest, because Revelation 21:3 says, “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” Blessed be God.

Think about the fact that this awesome infinite personality of the Godhead—the Holy Spirit—lives in you in His fullness, making you the headquarters of His operations in the earth. You’re His moving house, bearing His grace, glory and righteousness. This has always been His desire. Hallelujah!

If you’d learn to fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He’ll transform your life. He’ll cause the glory of Christ to be seen and expressed through you in ways you never thought possible.

PRAYER

Dear Father, what a blessing it is for your Spirit to live in me in His fullness, making me the headquarters of your operations in the earth. I’m His moving house, bearing His grace, glory and righteousness. I take advantage of your glorious presence in me, and declare that your glory, wisdom and excellence of divinity are evident in and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I affirm that my life is the manifestation of God’s wisdom and grace, and His righteousness is revealed and evident in me. I’ve been made the light in a dark world, and my light shines everywhere. I impact my world with God’s righteousness, wisdom, and love, today, and always.

God’s divine power is at work in me! I am a custodian of divine verities; I am filled with the maximum load of God. I am not ordinary; the Father has made all grace and earthly blessing come to me in abundance.

All the wealth in this world belongs to me, for I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. The silver and the gold are mine, including the cattle upon a thousand hills; thus, I refuse to be limited by anything in this world. Money is a slave of my ideas, and my eyes are opened to see opportunities all around me.

I am a free-flowing conduit of God’s wealth and blessings to others, and I am plugged to an unending supply. Daily, I rule and reign in life, independent of the financial systems of this world.

I am fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for my life, walking in paths that He’s arranged for me. He’s made all things I require for life and godliness available to me, and I celebrate the grace of prosperity and abundance that I enjoy as the seed of Abraham. Hallelujah!

The works of my hands are blessed and I am set on the path of permanent success and prosperity. I do not know when the heat comes, for I am fashioned to flourish like the cedar in Lebanon. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

FG should have sued Twitter not ban its use - Falana

Human Rights lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has faulted the Federal Government's suspension of Twitter operations in the country.

The senior lawyer who was a guest on the Wednesday edition of Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, said government is not permitted to resort to self-help in a constitutional democracy.

Falana stated that what this implied is that government is supposed to have “sued Twitter if the organization refuses to respond positively to the concerns of the government”.

He added that the lawsuit should have been filed in the United States of America or in Ghana where the microblogging service provider has its African headquarters.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

WEDNESDAY 9TH JUNE MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: CIVIL AUTHORITIES ARE FOR GOOD WORKS

For civil authorities are not a terror to [people of] good conduct, but to [those of] bad behavior. Would you have no dread of him who is in authority? Then do what is right and you will receive his approval and commendation (Romans 13:3 AMPC).

God’s Word teaches that we obey civil authorities because they’re established by God (Romans 13:2). So, whether it’s the king, the prime minister, the president, the governor or mayor, etc., we’re to obey them, but only in the context of God’s Word.

1 Peter 2:13-15 says, “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it beto the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.” Peter, by the Spirit, shows us that these ordinances were set up for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

However, we’re in a world where some government leaders do the exact opposite of what the Word says. That’s why it can become a problem if you leave the definition of “right” or “wrong” to the government. The Word of God is what determines right and wrong. In Romans 13:1-4, the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, admonishes everyone to obey state authorities, because no authority exists without God’s permission.

But He didn’t stop there; He went further to spell the responsibilities of the state: _*“For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil” (Romans 13:3-4).

You may then ask, “Doesn’t it follow that whatever a leader does, therefore, is from God?” Absolutely not! You have to apply the right contextual understanding; otherwise, where would you place the likes of Stalin, Mussolini, and Adolf Hitler?

Their actions were ungodly. So we understand that not all leaders please the Lord.
Civil authorities are to promote a righteous cause; they’re for good works not evil. Proverbs 29:2 & 4 (AMPC) says, “When the [uncompromisingly] righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh…The king by justice establishes the land, but he who exacts gifts and tribute overthrows it.”

PRAYER

Dear Father, I pray for those you’ve placed in positions of authority, that they’ll promote human rights and dignity, peace, fairness, righteousness, and a conducive atmosphere for the preaching of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Ezra 7:10
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do [it], and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

Proverbs 21:15
[It is] joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that the Holy Spirit lives in the quarters of my heart; He is the fire and power of my life. His light blazes intensely in my heart, making the Father’s presence real to me, His passion aglow, and His purity aflame in my spirit.

Every good and perfect gift is from my Father; and by the Holy Spirit, my spiritual eyes are continually opened to recognize those resources, gifts, and talents the Father has placed at my disposal, so I could be a solution provider, both in my life and in the life of God’s people.

I am life-conscious; life works in me! Every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, and every cell of my blood is inundated with divine energy! I will never be defeated because God is at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. I am alive unto God; for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Hallelujah!

Grace and peace are multiplied in my life. That grace working in me is the power of promotion, unending success, and an extraordinary life of excellence, victory, and dominion. I take advantage of it now and always. I refuse anything and everything that is inconsistent with the Father’s perfect will for my life. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

TUESDAY 8TH JUNE.

AS WHITE AS SNOW

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18).

The Lord Jesus was divine and without sin; yet, He became the sin-sacrifice, offered up for the sin of the world. He took our place of sin on the Cross, so that we might take His place of righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).

As a result of what Jesus did, we’re declared holy and without blame before the Father. We can boldly stand in the presence of God without guilt, inferiority or condemnation. The truth is that God holds nothing against you. To Him, you’re as perfect as Jesus is, because your righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Picture it this way: An amazing prince beckons on you to attend his banquet. Whereas you’re wearing rags—dirty and smelly and wouldn’t want to come close to him or his guests because of your filthy looks—with a warm smile, he signals that you come in and flings open the banquet door.

Noticing your reluctance, he entreats further that you come in so he could introduce you to the others in the hall. But with a look of dejection, you refuse the invitation. Finally, the prince says, “I know how you feel; I’ll not make you ashamed. Can you trust me?” Then, you trust his word, and go in. However, you still can’t imagine yourself mingling with such clean and flawless people.

Knowing your thoughts, the prince says, “Now that you’ve believed, look at yourself again!” Then you did and suddenly, you were as regal and immaculate as the prince and everyone else in the room. This is akin to your righteousness in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). Glory to God!

No wonder He says in 1 Corinthians 6:11 that you’re washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Now He’s made you His partner in bringing others into this amazing life of righteousness, to experience the same peace and glory you have in Him. Hallelujah! Don’t keep it to yourself.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your righteousness in me, which produces in me the ability to live right and fulfil your will always. I produce fruits of righteousness, do the works of righteousness, and manifest your goodness to the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am anointed by the Spirit of God for such a time as this! I am in God’s place for my life! The Word of God is in my heart and my mouth; and as I think and meditate on the Word today, the circumstances of my day align with the will and purpose of God for me!

I attract myself only to thoughts that are consistent with my destiny in Christ-thoughts of victory, increase, success, health, and strength. I am in Christ; I am not a child of chance. God has prearranged my life for good.

I walk those paths that have been laid out for me before the foundations of the world and I prosper in all my ways. I am sensitive to the leading of the Spirit and my heart is open to fresh ideas and innovations.

I refuse to live a life of excuse and procrastination. I am on the right path; enjoying God’s manifold riches in every area of my life.

I’ll never be helpless in life; for God has the right people at the right place and at the right time to favour my course. The lifting power of God is at work in me, causing me to make remarkable progress and resounding success, thus, when men are cast down, there’s a lifting up for me.

I have enough time and whatever time it is that is left, is enough to finish all that God has put in my heart to do. I’ve gained the speed of the spirit and I will finish my course with great joy and excitement. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

Yoruba group blasts Aregbesola, describes him as agent of the caliphate

The apex body of Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, has fired back at the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola over his comments against those who are seeking secession.

Aregbesola on Saturday while speaking at a function called those who are agitating for Yoruba and Biafra nations ”foolish”.

The minister said, “Any right-thinking person should know that any problem against Nigeria will result in calamity and retrogression.”

Meanwhile, Ilana Omo Oodua, in a statement issued on Sunday described Aregbesola as “a frustrated agent of the Caliphate. His Interior ministry is in charge of the Department of Immigration under whom foreign herdsmen invaded our land with impunity.

The group under the leadership of Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, in the statement by the group’s Media Communications Secretary, Maxwell Adeleye said, “for Aregbesola to call the agemate of his father foolish shows that he lacks the much-coveted Yoruba Omoluabi ethos”.

“He(Aregbesola) threatened Yoruba people with war yesterday, and within hours, Igangan, Ibarapa Zone of Oyo State was invaded by murderous herdsmen leading to scores of Yoruba people being killed and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed!”

The group fumed, saying Aregbesola is a frustrated man and will keep wallowing in the web of frustration until the Yoruba people decisively achieve their independence from the hegemony of those who Aregbesola is trying to impress.

“The power of the people is the ultimate in a democracy. No dictator has ever defeated the collective will of the people. Aregbesola and his cabal will fail.

“Was he saying that the Osun State people that he governed and who are currently at the forefront of the Yoruba Nation agitation are foolish? We were in Osogbo, Osun State and the crowd of people that received us was so huge. Was Aregbesola saying those people are foolish?

“We in Ilana Omo Oodua know that we are not foolish and that the people who Aregbesola governed in Osun State are not foolish.” the group noted.

Buhari Twitter Ban: I Just Tweeted, No Shaking, Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose Tells AGF Abubakar Malami

Former Ekiti State Governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose has dared Federal Government for threatening to arrest and prosecute any one found using twitter in Nigeria.

Ayodele Fayose made the statement about three hours ago on twitter while reacting to the statement credited to the Country Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami that those who go against President Muhammadu Buhari ban policy on the operations of Twitter in Nigeria through the help or use of Virtual Private Network, V.P.N should be arrested and prosecuted.

Nigerians welcome the international community’s condemnation of President Buhari’s suspension of Twitter access.

They should go further to hold him and his govt to account for further loss of lives and human right abuses in Nigeria going by his deleted genocidal message.

Akeredolu Reacts To Igangan Killings: One Too Many

Quote:IGANGAN PROVOCATIVE ONSLAUGHT ONE TOO MANY.

We have just received with rude shock premeditated attack on our people at Igangan, Ibarapa, Oyo State, in the early hours of today. This cowardly onslaught on a peaceful community has occasioned loss of lives and property on a large scale. It is horrendous, callous, and highly provocative. All well-meaning Nigerians must condemn, in the strongest term possible, this latest assault on decency and communal harmony.

While we will encourage the security agencies to get to the root of this latest act of provocation, we have directed the Commanders of the South West Security Network, Amotekun, to convoke a joint security meeting of all Commanders in the South West with a view to commencing joint operations in the region immediately.

We must reiterate the fact that certain elements are bent on causing friction among the peoples of this country with the sole aim of achieving a pernicious end. They will stop at nothing until their set goal is realized. It is, therefore, incumbent on all lovers of peace and freedom to rise against this current regression into savagery.

We on our part are resolved to defend our people, their property, and all legitimate means of livelihood against both internal and external aggression. On this, there will be no compromise. We call on our people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement in their communities. In addition, they must be united in the task of defending our lives and properties.

We cannot afford to fail.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY 7TH JUNE.

STRIVING IN PRAYER

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers… (Colossians 4:12).

The phrase translated “laboring fervently” in the scripture above is “agōnizomai” (Greek), and it doesn’t translate into mere labouring; it means to strive. In fact, the first synonym is “to fight”; it also means to struggle or contend with an adversary. The same word is what we have in 1 Timothy 6:12 which says, “Fight the good fight….”

Now, Paul, by the Spirit, tells the Christians in the church in Colossae that Epaphras was always “fighting” for them in prayers. He was contending with satanic forces in their behalf. That’s part of what you do in interceding for others. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Here, we see why we must strive in prayer for the souls of men.

Perhaps you have family members and loved ones, friends, colleagues and neighbours you’ve been witnessing to and they’ve refused to heed the call of salvation; God’s Word shows what the real problem is: Satan—the “god of this world”—has blinded their minds! For such people, you must contend for their souls in prayer; you “agonize” in intercession for them. You declare, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus, you evil spirit of darkness that has blinded their minds, I break your influence over them!”

But you see, you don’t stop there; you continue in intercession; it’s called prevailing in prayer. You travail in prayer over their minds, that their hearts be opened to the Lord, and be guided to the Word of God, in the Name of Jesus. You pray that the light of the glorious Gospel shines in their hearts, and they embrace the grace of God for their salvation; the presence of God mantles their hearts and God’s Word prevails in their lives. Hallelujah!
Pray like this for your friends or family members who aren’t yet born again, and you’ll be amazed at the result. Praise God!

PRAYER

Blessed Lord, I pray that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ would shine in the hearts of many today who are yet to receive salvation, turning them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Nigeria will lose N2.18 billion per day for blocking the operations of Twitter, a micro-blogging and social networking platform, in the country, an estimation by NetBlocks has shown.

NetBlocks, a data-driven online service, estimated the economic cost of internet disruptions on its cost of shutdown tool (COST) platform.

The platform, built on Brookings Institution and CIPESA methodologies, estimates the economic cost of internet shutdowns, mobile data blackouts, and social media restrictions using public economic indicators relating to the global digital economy.

On Friday, the federal government announced the “indefinite” suspension of Twitter over “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence”.

On Saturday morning, network access to the Twitter platform and backend servers were blocked by MTN, Globacom, Airtel, 9mobile, and other networks — the development made Nigerians move to alternative means of accessing the micro-blogging site.
Checks on the COST platform show that a single-day total internet shutdown will cost the country about N48.6 billion in economic value relating to the global digital economy.
According to the data, if Nigeria shuts down WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, it will lose N10.9 billion daily.

Although it is not yet sure the number of days the shutdown will take, the impact on businesses, tech communities, civil space, and government-to-citizen communication disruptions are enormous, according to experts.

Paradigm Initiative, in a statement, described the blockage of Twitter as an abuse of the rights of Nigerians, not just to freedom of expression but many other rights guaranteed in the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

“This suspension, which is a reaction of the Nigerian government to the company’s enforcement of its platform rules, is aimed at insulating the government from criticism, especially by Nigeria’s youth who are over 70% of the country’s population,” the digital rights group said.

“It is evident that shutting down Twitter is illegal and illegitimate policies such as this are unacceptable.”
Ad

Meanwhile, the Buhari-led government has described the suspension as “temporary”.
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, noted that the suspension of Twitter is not just a response to the removal of the Buhari’s post, but to address the “litany of problems with the social media platform in Nigeria, where misinformation and fake news spread through it have had real-world violent consequences.”

The statement added that Twitter had escaped accountability for misinformation spread on the platform.

Meanwhile, the United States mission in Nigeria, as well as other local and foreign organisations have cautioned the federal government on the suspension.

We convey our disappointment" Canada, EU, Ireland, UK, USA release joint statement condemning Twitter ban in Nigeria

The Diplomatic Missions of Canada, the European Union, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America have issued a joint statement in reaction to the ban on Twitter by the Nigerian government.

On Friday, June 4, two days after Twitter deleted a tweet from the president of Nigeria for violating its rules, the Ministry of Information and Culture announced that the Nigerian government has "indefinitely suspended" Twitter.

The Nigerian government also proposed registration requirements for other social media.

Canada, UK, USA, Ireland,  and the European Union expressed disappointment in a joint statement that reads: "The diplomatic missions of Canada, the European Union (Delegation to Nigeria), the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America convey our disappointment over Nigeria's announcement suspending #Twitter and proposing registration requirements for other social media.

"We strongly support the fundamental human right of free expression and access to information as a pillar of democracy in Nigeria as around the world and these rights apply online as well as offline. Banning systems of expression is not the answer.

"These measures inhibit access to information and commerce at precisely the moment when Nigeria needs to foster inclusive dialogue and expression of opinions, as well as share vital information in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The path to a more secure Nigeria lies in more, not less, communication to accompany the concerted efforts of Nigeria's citizens in fulsome dialogue toward unity, peace and prosperity. As Nigeria's partners, we stand ready to assist in achieving these goals."

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SUNDAY 6TH JUNE MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: DIVINE ACQUITTAL

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

The Bible says Jesus wasn’t only delivered to death on account of your sins, He was also raised back to life for your justification (Romans 4:25). What does it mean to be justified? The word translated “justified” means to be acquitted and declared righteous; it is to be declared “not guilty”; free of guilt.

Therefore, in the mind of justice, there’re no charges against you! The mystery of divine acquittal beats human imagination. How can a man be acquitted in an onward and permanent way? How is that possible?

In natural justice, you’re only acquitted today from charges of past offenses; you can’t be acquitted from charges of future offenses. But it’s not so with God. Your divine acquittal covers past, present and future offenses. There’s a badge on you everywhere you go that says “Acquitted!”
Read the theme verse again. It says, “Therefore being justified by faith…” (Romans 5:1).

What is faith? The Bible says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). You don’t apply faith for what’s behind you, or what you already have with you. Therefore, “being justified by faith” means, from this moment, you’ve entered into the future with divine acquittal.

It’s the result of what Jesus did. Now you can further appreciate when He said in Colossians 1:21-22: “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled…to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.”

You’re holy, unblameable and unreproveable in His sight. This is the way God sees you. Why would anyone want to live in sin when they understand this truth? You’re too holy, too righteous, too clean, and too pure: this is what God has given you as a gift! He declared Himself to be righteous in granting you divine acquittal for believing in Jesus: _*“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:26).

PRAYER

Dear Father, what a blessing it is to know that I’ve been divinely acquitted of all charges. I walk in the light of my justification, and reign over sin, Satan and circumstances. My life is an expression of your righteousness. I’m victorious all the way, serving you joyously without fear or condemnation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Romans 5:20-21
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:17 AMPC
For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Acts 13:38-39
Be it known unto you therefore, men [and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Man Plays Dead After A Bear Tore His Skull Open, Then Drives Himself To Hospital

Quote:A fisherman escaped a brown bear's fatal blow by ‘playing dead’ and then unbelievably driving himself to hospital, say reports in Russia.

Despite the bear's devastating attack which tore the skin off his scalp and left bite wounds on his leg and arms, the man made his own way to get treated.

According to local media, the man had been illegally fishing for salmon along the River Lyutoga on the east coast Russian island of Sakhalin, just north of Japan.

A blow to the head knocked the unnamed man out but as he came round he remained still which was likely key to his survival.

A friend said: “He pretended to be dead, and finally the bear left. It was pure luck the predator didn’t bite into his neck.”

Bleeding, gashed and bitten, the fishermen then drove four miles to Aniva Central District Hospital.

A doctor said: "In all the history of bear attacks, we don’t remember a victim getting to the hospital by himself.”

The fisherman - not named - was treated in the surgical department, and received a rabies shot.

Locals say the man had been breaking strict local laws in fishing for masu salmon using nets.

“The bear acted like a fishing inspector,” said a local report.

The man has promised not to go fishing again after the attack.

In America on Sunday night a bear savagely mauled a man who found cubs in his garage when he went to lock it up.

The resident in Colorado suffered severe cuts to his head and legs on Sunday which landed him in hospital but is expected to survive.

Wildlife officials have issued a new warning for people in the area to keep food under lock and key, as a container of birdseed inside the garage likely attracted the beasts, NYPost reports.

The man was taken to hospital for surgery to the wounds sustained in the attack but was expected to survive, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said in a statement released Monday.

The man who lives near Steamboat Springs spotted his garage door open at around 11pm on Sunday, it was when he went to close it that he was set upon.

Inside was a mother bear and her two cubs.

The statement by CPW said: "As the man attempted to slowly back away from the garage, the sow attacked."

Wildlife officials and park rangers tracked down and killed the mother bear whose body has been sent to a lab for a necropsy.

With her cubs still on the loose, officials are looking to trap and relocate them.

ISWAP Confirms Shekau’s Death, Says Its Fighters Were Following ISIS Orders
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-05-2021, 06:58 PM - No Replies

Quote:The rival terror group had disagreed with Abubakar Shekau about his excessive use of force, especially against Muslims who were not Boko Haram members.

The Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) has confirmed that former Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau blew himself up after refusing to surrender following his hideout’s invasion on Wednesday, May 19.

This was contained in an internal message from ISWAP leader, Abu Musab Albarnawi, whose recording was obtained by HumAngle on Friday. In his address, which was delivered in Hausa, he described Shekau as “the leader of disobedience and corruption” and said his fighters rejoiced over his death. He said the former terrorist leader, who took over after the death of Boko Haram founder Mohammed Yusuf in 2009, was apprehended “in the most humiliating manner.”

“This was someone who committed unimaginable terrorism. How many has he wasted? How many has he killed? How many has he terrorised? But Allah left him alone and prolonged his life. When it was time, Allah set out brave soldiers after receiving orders from Amirul Muminin [leader of the believers],” he said.

ISWAP, which broke away from Shekau’s Boko Haram faction in 2016, disagreed with the late extremist leader over his excessive use of force, especially on Muslims in areas under his influence.

According to Abu Musab, the interim leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) ordered them to take action on Shekau for deviating and killing “believers.” ISWAP fighters then took their arms, travelled through the Sahara, went into Shekau’s enclave, and engaged in a gun battle with his followers.

He initially escaped and roamed the bushes of Sambisa for five days, where he suffered seriously. However, ISWAP fighters were able to locate him. Still, Abu Musab narrated, Shekau managed to run away a second time but was chased down. The rival fighters urged him and his followers to repent, assuring him that if the ISIS leader decided to make him their leader after he had surrendered, they would have no choice but to obey.

According to Abu Musab, “Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the afterlife than getting humiliated on earth.” He killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive, exactly as HumAngle reported a day after the incident.

Abu Musab urged ISWAP fighters in Lake Chad not to sit idly and watch a sub-faction of Boko Haram, still loyal to Shekau, invade their homes, kill and abduct their wives and children, and turn them into slaves.

He urged the rival terror group to choose dialogue against fighting; however, their end will be soon if they choose war and terrorism. “Haven’t you seen what happened to your leader who has more strength, more experience than you, yet he was defeated?”

Abu Musab’s internal message revealed that all is not yet clear in the path of ISWAP to completely

dominate the region, as hundreds of loyal fighters to Shekau in the Lake Chad basin, led by one Bakoura, had not conceded to the ISIS affiliate. Bakoura and fighters have launched resistance against ISWAP around the Republic of Niger Republic axis of the basin, killing some members of ISWAP and abducting their family members.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

 SATURDAY 5TH JUNE

CHILDREN OF THE WORD

Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant…⁹ (Acts 3:25).

I ’ve often said that as Christians, we’re not in covenant with God; we’re the results or children of the covenant. There’s a huge difference between being in covenant, and being the result of the covenant.

Think about it this way: when a man and woman get married, they come into a covenant; when they have children, their children are the result or fruit of that covenant. You can’t say the children are in covenant with their parents; only the parents have a covenant with each other. You have to understand this; otherwise, you’ll never really enjoy the blessings and glory of Christianity.

So, in our theme verse, Peter, preaching to the Jews, spoke spiritually. He didn’t mean they were the children of the Prophets in the sense that they were born by the wives of the Prophets; no. When he called them the children of the Prophets and of the covenant, he meant children of the promise, or the spoken Word. And that’s exactly who we are.

The Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the Galatians, writes: “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:27-29).

We’re as much Abraham’s seed as the Jews that Paul addressed in his epistle. The new creation is the actual spiritual seed of Abraham. We’re heirs of the promise. Romans 8:17 says, “…if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ….” That’s who you are; that’s your identity! Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I’m the seed of Abraham, the result of the spoken Word; I walk in my inheritance in Christ, being an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I live in victory and dominion today and always, making progress from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Daily, I walk in excellence; for the Lord has perfected all that concerns me. His grace is superabundant upon me, and His power is in my words to cause the things I say to materialize.

I am in Christ; the Spirit of God is leading and guiding me in the way that I should go, taking paths that the Father had preordained before the foundation of the world.

PDP Rejects The Suspension Of Twitter, Cautions That Buhari Is Pushing Nigerians
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion

Cautions That Buhari Is Pushing Nigerians to the Wall

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described federal government’s suspension of micro blogging site, by the federal government as a demonstration of her foolishness among the community of civilized nations, Igbere TV reports.

Quote:The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vehemently rejects the unwarranted suspension of the social media platform, Twitter, by the President Buhari-led Federal Government, describing it as a draconian action and a slide towards a fascist regime in our country.

The party asserts that the suspension of twitter, is a vexatious, condemnable and barbaric move to muzzle Nigerians, particularly the youths, ostensibly to prevent them from holding the overtly corrupt, vindictive and divisive Buhari administration accountable for its atrocities, including human right violations, patronizing of terrorists and outright suppressive acts against innocent Nigerians.

Our party is appalled that the Federal Government could exhibit such primitive intolerance and power intoxication because the social media giant demonstrated international best practices in not allowing the Buhari presidency to use Twitter as a platform to propagate and spread the Buhari administration’s hatred towards Nigerians.

The PDP insists that rather than being a platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence, as claimed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Nigerians, particularly the youths, have been using the social media platform, largely, for activities that promote unity, as well as social, economic and commercial interaction in our country.

Our party notes that Mr. Lai Mohammed, in his statement, failed to cite an example of where Nigerians used Twitter as a platform to promote acts that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence as he claimed.

Of course, the failure to give any such instance, confirms that the Federal Government is only out to victimize Nigerians.

The Buhari Presidency and the APC administration are only afraid of Nigerians on Twitter because of their evil machinations for which they dread the Nigerian youths.

Moreover, freedom of speech is firmly guaranteed in our constitution and the Buhari administration should be ready to face Nigerians over its misrule.

In the case of any infringement, our nation has adequate extant laws to deal with such and not this move to gag the people.

The PDP therefore charges President Buhari to end this assault against Nigerians by immediately and unconditionally rescinding its decision to ban Twitter, as such amounts to pushing our citizens to the wall.

Afterall, it was the same Twitter that provided President Buhari and the APC the platform to campaign in 2015 and 2019.

It is also on record that President Buhari would not be the first President in the world whose tweet would be deleted.

When it happened to former US President Donald Trump, he was not known to have deployed any act coercion against Twitter.

Our party invites President Buhari to halt this international shame by rescinding this ugly decision.

Whoever advised you to suspend Twitter in Nigeria is your biggest enemy" - FFK tells President Buhari

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to the recent suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria by the federal government of Nigeria.

The federal government through the Ministry of Information announced on Friday evening that the microblogging platform has been suspended in Nigeria.

The ban came days after the platform deleted tweets from President Buhari's handle.

Reacting to the move by Nigerian Govt to ban Twitter in Nigeria, Femi Fani Kayode described the decision as "absurd and counterproductive." He also said that whoever advised the president to suspend Twitter is his biggest enemy.

"Suspending @Twitter from Nigeria simply because they removed a dangerous, irresponsible & insensitive tweet by @MBuhari is the most absurd and counterproductive move that the FG could have made. Whoever advised Mr. President to make this indefensible move is his biggest enemy", Femi Fani Kayode said.

Facebook also deletes Buhari's controversial message after Twitter

Facebook has joined Twitter in banning President Buhari’s controversial civil war statement.

Earlier today, June 4, the Federal Government announced that Twitter has been suspended in Nigeria. This comes days after Twitter deleted the president's controversial statement and the video where he made the statement.

The banned statement made by Buhari reads: "Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand."

Now, Facebook has followed suit. Facebook said it deleted Buhari's statement because it violates its standards and is capable of inciting violence.

Unlike Twitter where the specific tweet was deleted while the rest of the thread with President Buhari's speech was allowed to remain on the platform, Facebook removed President Buhari’s entire message.

Giving reason for deleting the statement, Facebook said: "In line with our global policies, we have removed a post from President Buhari’s Facebook page for violating our community standards against inciting violence.

"We remove any content from individual or organisation that violates our policies on facebook."

Quote:It was black Friday in Awka, Anambra State as about eight children hawking wares at Kwata flyover junction in Awka, Anambra State were killed by a lorry carrying cows.

Irate youths who were irked by the development also quickly mobilized and set ablaze the lorry, including the cow, burning them to death.

A source said the accident happened when a truck which was conveying cattle to an unknown location lost its break while descending the Kwata junction slope, knocking down eight hawkers and injuring four occupants of two other SUV cars, which were all mangled.

The incident which happened about 2pm attracted irate youths, who burnt down the truck and the cattle, resisting attempts to free the cattle before setting ablaze the truck.

Our source was, however, unable to say if the driver of the truck and the truck attendant were spared.

As of the time of filling this report, irate youths have defied attempt by the Anambra State Fire Service to put off the fire on the truck.

The multiple accident has also caused traffic gridlock in many areas in Awka.

Meanwhile, there was massive shooting in the area by military personnel to disperse irate youths who stopped attempts to tow the truck off the road to make way for free flow of traffic.

The shooting in the area caused residents and even motorists to abandon their vehicles and flee for their lives.

Attempt to speak to the Anambra State Police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga for confirmation on the actual number of casualties was not possible as his phone indicated that it was switched off.

Blockage Of Onions To South-East Part Of Conspiracy To Attack Igbos — Ohanaeze
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-05-2021, 12:19 AM - No Replies

Quote:Blockage Of Onions To South-East Is Part Of Conspiracy To Attack Igbos— Ohanaeze Ndigbo

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has alleged that there are conspiracies against the South-Eastern region by ’those who want to destabilise the region’.

Speaking with SaharaReporters on Thursday, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo said the insurrection in the South-East is caused by some northerners who want Igbo people to denigrate into civil disobedience that will open them up for attacks.

Isiguzoro was reacting to a statement by the Secretary of Onion Dealers Association in Imo State, Halilu Muhammad, who noted that the association had withdrawn onion shipments to the South-East until further notice.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported how members of the association claimed they lost over N13 million to the recent seizure of onion trucks heading to the South-East.

Muhammad had made a claim that gunmen intercepted two onion trucks heading to the South-East and sold them to locals for N9,000 per bag instead of N15,000.

Ohanaeze, however, described it as a simple strategy aimed at using the weapon of hunger against the people of the South-East.

Isiguzoro noted that the Ohanaeze will never instigate the stoppage of palm oil shipment to the Northern region.

He noted that the insecurities ravaging the region are allegedly caused by a northern cartel that wants to deny Igbo people their rightful position in Nigeria.

Ohanaeze however vowed that it would never allow Igbo people to stoop low to civil disobedience but rather allow peace to reign.

Isiguzoro said, “We have observed that all the things happening to South-East are well-coordinated attacks by a cartel that wants to destabilise South-East for economic and political reasons.

“First, you hear the National Chairman of Arewa telling the northerners to leave the South-East that the region is no longer safe for them. You have also seen the American embassy warning the people of southern Nigeria that northern bandits and Boko Haram are moving to the South to destabilise the South, particularly the South-East.

“You have seen President Muhammadu Buhari threatening to unleash the war experience against the Igbos. And currently, we can see the perishable goods. They have done it before and they are using hunger as a strategy to ensure that the South-East does not keep up the political aspiration for 2023.

“All these are the handiwork of northern cartel aimed at denying Igbos their rightful position in Nigeria and pushing them to civil disobedience that will lead to another civil war but the South-East will overcome all these evil conspiracies.

”Igbos are known all over the world as emergency experts that can handle any delicate situation and turn it into a gold mine.

“Ohanaeze will not instigate the blockage of palm oil to the North because Igbos have over N22 trillion worth of investments and property in the 19 northern states and whatever has been happening, including the (Ahmed) Gulak assassination is to prompt the repeat of 1966 massacre but we will resist them this time around.

“We are calling on those who are behind these to stop before it is too late, whether they block onions or do not block onions to the South-East, we will overcome this conspiracy.

“Most of them are surprised that 51 years ago, we came out of civil war and we rebuilt our cities and they are trying to destroy our cities so they have unleashed insecurity, they have threatened us with civil war again, about killing of 3 million Igbos, mostly children and women.

“They have threatened us with blockage of food to the South-East. They have even killed their own person in the South-East to instigate a crisis in the North but we are calling on the Northern governors, we are calling on patriotic Nigerians living in the 19 northern states, who are not part of this conspiracy to ensure that we promote things that will bind us together rather than things that will lead us to separation and that will lead us to go our separate ways.

“This is the right time to checkmate this erroneous or this evil plan against the people of the South-East. But remember the dynamics and indices of 1966 have changed, we are now in the global world. Those factors that made them have the upper hand in 1966 are no longer feasible in 2021. Igbos will fight them at their doorstep but for now, we are calling for peace.”

We Want Christian Court — Bauchi CAN Tells Constitution Review Committee
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-04-2021, 07:44 AM - No Replies

Quote:Bauchi State Chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called for the creation of Ecclesiastical court for Christians in the State like the Sharia court for Muslims, saying that it will ensure that dispute among Clerics and even Christians are resolved amicably.

In a memorandum it submitted to the House of Reps Committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution in Bauchi on Thursday, CAN observed with grievances that despite the clear provision of the constitution, particularly section 10, to the effect that the Government of the Federation and the State shall not adopt any religion as a State religion, the law has been swept under the carpet.

CAN through its legal representative, Barr Bichi Obadiah stated that, “The recognition of one religion and its legal system over the other has contravened the clear provision of constitutional recommendation.

“For example, in Bauchi State, provisions has been made for the implementation of Sharia Law since 2000/2001. In fact, Sharia Commission has been created and Area courts have been abolished and replaced with Sharia courts.

“The provision of Sharia courts and Sharia Commission without a corresponding Ecclesiastical courts and Commission to attend to the yearning of Christian citizens has served as a great marginalization, discrimination and/or source of conflict in terms of accessibility to employment because all the employees of the said Sharia Commission and Courts are all Muslims”.

CAN also recommended that the amendment should also declare null and void any law either Federal or State which intend to or has adopted a particular religion and its legal system or facilitate or create any religious educational body without a correspondence to carter for the interest of Christian religion.

“In the alternative, the creation of Ecclesiastical Court or Tribunal along with its Commission and other Christian educational bodies to meet the interest of all Christian will enhance equality and inclusiveness in the Constitution.

“The Christian Association of Nigeria has observed that it is pertinent to implement the above stated recommendations due to the reasons that Christianity is one of the major religions in Nigeria and has its members across the federation.

“Therefore, allowing the recognition of Islamic religion and its legal system in the Constitution and its subsequent adoption by States is a clear discrimination against Christians and a gross violation of Section 10 of the Constitution.

“The continuous recognition and adoption of the Islamic religion and its legal system by both Federal and States government without a correspondent Ecclesiastical Courts, Commission and Christian Educational Bodies is an injustice and a violation of the Constitutional rights of Christians access to employment opportunities”, CAN further stressed.

According to CAN, “The Ecclesiastical court will ensure that dispute among Clerics and even Christians pertaining to spiritual matters that involve sacraments, successors to personal properties, Christian Marriage, discipline, administration of church, ecclesiastical corporate bodies, tithes, benefits , question touching on oaths and vows are determine in accordance with the Biblical and Christian injunctions.

“The foregoing position has been set out by CAN in order to persuade this Honourable Committee to adopt our position as submitted above. Doing this will be in the overall national interest and peaceful co-existence among Nigerian Citizens and particularly given sense of belonging to the Christians faithful.”

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY 4TH JUNE.

EVER CONSCIOUS OF HIS PRESENCE

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14).

The most important thing in your life now that you’re in Christ is your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Until and unless this becomes a present hour consciousness to you, your Christianity would be a form of religion. You have to know, love and relate with the Holy Spirit as not only a real person, but also as the very essence of Christ and Christianity. He’s the One who raised up Jesus from the dead; and without the resurrection, there would have been no salvation. Everything you’d ever want, admire and love in Jesus is in the Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus is now in heaven; the Holy Spirit is here with us, and the beautiful thing about it is that we have Him (the Holy Spirit) in us and with us anywhere and everywhere. The disciples couldn’t take Jesus home with them; they were with Him in their waking hours, in their work hours, but when He went to heaven, they had to welcome the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit came to take the place of the ascended Christ. He lives in you today. So, be ever conscious of His presence in you; take advantage of His grace and power in your life. With Him, you can do anything; life becomes a glide and smooth sail in glory. Hallelujah!

The apostles in the early Church understood and took great advantage of the Holy Spirit’s presence in their lives. After they received the Holy Spirit, their lives and ministry changed; they ministered and did all things by the power of the Holy Spirit. No wonder they had such extraordinary results and made such a marvelous impact with the Gospel.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the blessing of having the Holy Spirit live in me; He’s the glory of my life; and I love and cherish Him with all my heart; He’s everything to me: my Comforter, Helper, Counsellor, Advocate, Strengthener, Intercessor, and Standby. I know I’m a victor forever, and will always excel, producing fruits and blessings of righteousness, because of the grace and ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life. Amen.

I am walking in the reality of my divine heritage in Christ, conscious of God’s grace and awesome presence in my life. The word of God is in my heart and in my mouth, even the word of truth which I’ve received.

Youths in Ajaawa town in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State have set ablaze several houses, hotels, shrine and other valuables belonging to a notable member of the community, Prince Gideon Oyekunle, after stray bullet allegedly killed a resident.

It was gathered that the deceased identified as Oluwajubee,40, was hit by bullet fired by officers attached to Prince Gideon Oyekunle, popularly known as ‘Ade Master'

According to a source who spoke to Sun News, residents had on Wednesday, June 2, gathered to protest against incessant kidnapping in the community by suspected herdsmen.

The town has witnessed increased criminal activity recently as the chief Imam was murdered some weeks ago and 9 residents abducted.

"Fulani herdsmen have been kidnaping residents of the area and collecting ransom before releasing them for long. The Fulani people attempted to kidnap leader of traditionalist in the town but failed. A butcher, Lamidi Eleran, who sells cow in the area saw the Fulani people, while trying to kidnap the traditionalist. But the Fulani people later lured the butcher to come and buy cow but killed him." the source told the publication .

"His death led to a serious protest held in the front of one Ade Master’s house. But Ade master (allegedly) shot one of the protesters. Ade Master is one of the people vying for the stool of Alajaawa. When the protester died, youths in the town took to the street and burnt all his property, including his hotels in the town.”

A member of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in the town, who preferred anonymity, also said:

“It is true. Ade master, who is also vying for the kingship in the town caused the crisis. The story you heard was true. He has gone out of the town now. All his houses and hotels have been burnt."

Meanwhile, Ade master and his family are said to have since fled the town to avoid being attacked by the angry residents.

The Chairman of Ajaawa, Prince Oluwaseun Ojo, who confirmed the incident said that his priority is to ensure that the situation does not degenerate further and spark a full-blown crisis.

Meanwhile, the Alajawaa of Ajaawa, Oba Thompson Adeyeye Akanmu Oladele has since declared a 7 pm -6 am curfew and called for the State government to intervene immediately.

PDP accuses Uzodinma of masterminding killings in Imo

 June 3, 2021

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo has accused the State Governor, Hope Uzodinma of allegedly being responsible for the series of extrajudicial killings in the state.

The opposition party asked the governor to account for the killing of innocent civilians in the state.

The Imo state PDP Chairman, Charles Ugwu made the allegations while briefing newsmen on Thursday.

He alleged that the governor failed to address the security issues in the state because he was masterminding them.
He regretted that prominent sons and daughters of Imo had been killed within a space of one month and the governor has done nothing about it.

“The governor has to tell us what he knows about the gruesome murder of the Oru-east PDP Youth Leader as well as that of his friend, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak.

“There is no gainsaying that the Uzodinma-led government lacks the competence and willpower to protect the lives of the people.

“We, therefore, urge the federal government to set up a panel to investigate the governor to find out the root cause of the extrajudicial killings in Imo State.

“Meanwhile, we appeal to all Imolites to remain calm and prayerful in this trying period.

South-East attacks: ‘Stop arresting innocent youths’ – Abaribe tells FG

 June 3, 2021

Senate Minority leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has condemned the approach the federal government is taking to resolve South-East attacks.

Abaribe in an interview on Arise TV on Thursday, condemned the arrest of innocent youths, especially young boys by security operatives in the South-East each time there is an attack on a security formation.

The senator stated that there is a need for security agencies to conduct an in-depth investigation, bring and try criminals involved in the acts in court.

He also insinuated that there are speculations that the attacks which are being done in quick succession in Igbo land were aimed at scuttling the proposal for an Igbo presidency.

“Civil engagement dictates that you investigate, apprehend and prosecute.
Malami’s statement on open grazing has questioned Nigeria’s unity – Abaribe
“We are happy that Nigerians are seeing that what is here is not an Igbo problem, but a criminal syndicate going around all parts of the county and the government needs to unravel this.

“If a criminal burns a police station, you do nothing and then go and arrest every villager that you see on the street; which is what is currently happening in the south-east, then you are not resolving the issue.

“What you’re letting everybody know is that it is us versus them, which is not a good way of building unity in the country.

“We have directed the inspector-general of police and other security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation not to just round up youths that you see, conduct extra-judicial killings and say you’ve resolved the issue.

“Suppose these attacks being done in quick succession in Igboland are meant to scuttle the proposal for an Igbo presidency — I hope you can also look at it from that perspective,” he said.

“All we are saying is, try to conduct a thorough investigation then we’ll know who is doing this, who their sponsors are and why they are doing it,” he said.

Fifty Killed As ISWAP Fighters Attack Nigerian Army Base In Borno | Sahara Reporters.

SaharaReporters learnt that the insurgents battled with the troops of the 25 Task Force Brigade in the Damboa area of Borno State, and could have been overrun but the military’s MI-35M attack helicopter alongside L-39ZA and Alpha jets arrived promptly to save the situation.

Quote:Nigerian troops attached to Operation Hadan Kai in Borno State on Wednesday came under attack by the Islamic State West Africa Province fighters who attempted to overrun the base in multiple gun trucks and an armoured vehicle.

SaharaReporters learnt that the insurgents battled with the troops of the 25 Task Force Brigade in the Damboa area of Borno State, and could have been overrun but the military’s MI-35M attack helicopter alongside L-39ZA and Alpha jets arrived promptly to save the situation.

SaharaReporters learnt that over 50 ISWAP fighters were killed during the air strikes while about 11 gun trucks with which they attacked the base were destroyed.

The insurgents suffered losses with the bodies of their fighters strewn over the location but it was not sure if there was any casualty yet on the side of the Nigerian Army troops.

This is at least the third time this year that ISWAP would be using a Nigerian army armoured vehicle to attack troops.

The situation remains fluid over fears that ISWAP could regroup and launch another

“Troops neutralised over 50 ISWAP insurgents including top commander Oumar Tela in a failed attempted attack on military base yesterday in Damboa town, Borno State. Several gun trucks and vehicles bearing improvised explosive devices were destroyed.

“The Nigerian Military Mi-35 Fighter Helicopter was in action against the terrorists around the Damboa axis for hours, and helped in neutralising scores of the fighters,” a military source stated.

Corpers Can Be Mobilised For War - Shuaibu Ibrahim (NYSC DG)
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion

Quote:Corps members can be mobilised for war, says NYSC DG

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig.Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, says corps members are part of the national defence policy of Nigeria and can be mobilised for war if need be.

Ibrahim said this on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ programme on Wednesday while reacting to moves to scrap the NYSC scheme which is compulsory for all Nigerians who graduate before the age of 30.

The NYSC boss said, “Corps members are on reserve. They are part of the national defence policy of this country. So, where there is serious war, our corps members are educated, they are knowledgeable and they can be trained. You see the drill and so on.

“You can imagine within the short three weeks in the orientation camps, the corps members are moulded. They are like soldiers. You see female corps members blowing the army horn, playing with the military band.

“So, if not for the knowledge, where are you going to mobilise such young Nigerians to train them quickly to put in their best for the country? So, corps members are on reserve. They are also part of the national defence policy.”

He said the NYSC is concerned about the security of corps members and that is why they had been advised not to move around at night.

Ibrahim argued that the NYSC had become more important than ever in the face of the rising calls for secession.

Revamping NYSC for better productivity
The NYSC boss stated that he had advised corps members not to travel outside the state or the country without the permission of the state coordinator.

He added that corps members had been urged not to travel after 6pm and they are free to sleep at any corpers’ lodge while travelling.

Ibrahim said corps members had played a huge role in educating children in Internally Displaced Persons’ camps.

The NYSC boss maintained that the insecurity in the country was not enough reason to scrap the scheme, adding that till date, 75 per cent of corps members are still serving in rural areas across the country.

He added that he had proposed a National Youth Trust Fund through which loans would be given to corps members to start businesses after completing the mandatory programme.

Ibrahim said the scheme had been able to foster national unity and cohesion, adding that many corps members had found love in the various orientation camps and married.

“There are a lot of inter-marriages. For most of our females, the history of their marriages can be traced to their service year because they meet their fiancées during their service year. I have had cause to attend such weddings and the NYSC supports such weddings,” he said.

Your threat to kill, bury IPOB members absolute nonsense – Aisha Yusuf to Wike

A Nigerian activist, Aisha Yusuf has slammed the River State Governor over threats to kill members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the state.

DAILY POST had reported that the governor on Tuesday during the commissioning of construction work at the Ahoada Campus of the Rivers State University and the dualization of the Ahoada-Omoku Road in Ahoada Town said the IPOB members allegedly threatening the peace of the state would soon meet their “funeral”.

He was alleged to have said, “So, when people say, ‘IPOB, they’re carrying ‘Juju’, I say no problem. What’s happening, are they not dying? Let nobody deceive you with that juju.
“If you don’t repent, your funeral has come. You’ll die, your parents will not bury you. We’ll bury you like vultures. Either your hands will be cut off or we’ll blow your head off”.

Reacting, the popular female activist described the threat as “absolute nonsense” saying that those around the governor would have booed him while he was making such a comment.
Her reaction was contained in a recent tweet on her verified Twitter handle.

The tweet reads, “How many have you killed and buried? What absolute nonsense is this? The audacity to threaten people and even brag about killing and burying!

“The people were there smiling sheepishly instead of booing him off. The arrogance of these low-grade rulers is irritating”.

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to hand the Southeast Biafra as a means of ending the current unrest in the region and other parts of the country.

The group made the remark in a statement by its spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, while reacting to the recent ‘civil war’ threat by President Buhari.

DAILY POST reports that the president has been under verbal attacks over his comment threatening to clamp down on some elements in the Southeast for allegedly attacking security operatives and destroying government facilities in the region.

Following the outrage by some Nigerians, who took to their social media handles to tackle the president over his ‘disturbing’ comment, Twitter on Wednesday deleted the controversial tweet.

While most Nigerians were pleased with the deletion, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed slammed Twitter over the move, alleging that the management has double standards.
Reacting, CNG noted that the only option to restore peace in the nation is to ensure that the age-long agitation becomes reality.

“It is time for the Nigerian state and all stakeholders to wake to the reality that the only remaining option to avoid a civil war is for the Igbo to be allowed to have the Biafra they have used intermittently for decades to destabilize the nation and deny peace to other components of the country,” Sulaiman said in the statement.
