Bandits Attack Fulani In Anka, Zamfara State

Quote:Bandits have attacked a Fulani settlement on the outskirts of Anka town along the Bagega-Anka Road in Zamfara State.

Sources told Channels Television that the armed men stormed the area at about 5pm on Wednesday and began to shoot sporadically.

But the bandits were engaged in a gun duel by the policemen who were stationed in a mining company along the road, an eyewitness said on Thursday.

He stated that no life was lost in the attack, but the bandits rustled an unspecified number of cows belonging to members of the community.

The witness said a motorcycle belonging to the leader of Fulani in Anka was also set ablaze by the armed bandits.

Police authorities in the state have confirmed the attack, saying the bandits were swiftly repelled by security operatives who recovered the rustled cattle from them.

In a statement on Thursday, the spokesperson for the command, Shehu Mohammed, explained that police tactical operatives deployed to Anka were alerted that many bandits had stormed the Fulani settlement to attack and rustle cows.

“A combined police team in collaboration with the military mobilised to the scene where they engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel.

“As a result, they scampered to the forest and escaped with possible gunshot wounds,” Mohammed said.

He added, “All the rustled cows were recovered for the Fulani community members. Rigorous confidence-building patrol is being sustained to avert any attempt by the bandits to regroup for another onslaught.”

In his reaction, the Commissioner of Police in Zamfara, Hussaini Rabiu, commended the joint security operatives for their prompt response to the incident and urged them to sustain the tempo until peace was restored in the state.

He also called on the residents to continue to support the police and other security agencies in the current fight against bandits and other criminals in Zamfara.

Usain Bolt's 200m record broken by 'lightning-fast' 17-year-old boy

Florida teenager Erriyon Knighton has broken Usain Bolt's 200m record for athletes under the age of 18.

The 17-year-old made history while competing at the Duval County Challenge Track League in Jacksonville, Florida, winning the 200m with a time of 20.11 seconds.

Usain Bolt, who won three Olympic gold medals in the 200m, previously held the record for under-18s. However, Knighton beat Bolt's record by 0.02 seconds.

Knighton said after he beat Bolt's record: "I feel like I brought my A game today."

Usain Bolt still holds the record for the fastest 200m time by a 17-year-old, having recorded a time of 19.93 back in April 2004. However, due to the fact that Bolt turned 18 during that calendar year, US Track and Field rules mean that time does not count towards the record Knighton has now broken.

Knighton is set to compete in the US Olympic trials later this month and he could be selected for their track and field team for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

If he does make the team, Knighton would become the youngest male athlete to do so since the 1964 Olympics, which were also held in Tokyo.

A bride in India died at the venue of her wedding and the ceremony continued with the groom marrying the dead bride's younger sister.

The bride, who has been identified as Surabhi, died of a heart attack during her wedding ceremony in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Following her sudden death in the presence of family and wedding guests, the families laid her body in the room next door as her groom worked on his backup plan.

According to eyewitnesses, groom, Manjesh Kumar was in the middle of exchanging vows with his fiancee, Surabhi, when she died in front of him.

Doctors rushed to her side but despite their best efforts, she was pronounced dead of cardiac arrest moments later, local media reports.

However, Surabhi’s uncle Ajab Singh told news agency IANS that the families made the decision to have Kumar wed her younger sister, Nisha, instead, which he claims was a "tough call" for them.

He said: "One daughter lay dead in one room and the wedding of another daughter was being solemnised in the other room. We have never witnessed such mixed emotions.

"The grief over her death and the happiness of the wedding have yet to sink in."

Surabhi’s brother, Saurabh, added that they did not know what to do in the situation at first.

He said: "Both the families sat together and someone suggested that my younger sister Nisha should be married to the groom. The families discussed the matter and both agreed."

Another Nigerian arrested in U.S for allegedly stealing $800,000 in payroll hacking

A Nigerian identified as Charles Onus has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for his alleged involvement in diverting $800,000 into prepaid debit cards, barely a month after Abidemi Rufai, an aide to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state was arrested for fraud in the United States.

The United State Department of Justice in a statement shared on its website, said Mr Onus was arrested and detained on April 14 in San Francisco.

The suspect who is accused of hacking over 5,500 company user accounts, was arraigned before the Manhattan federal court on Wednesday June 2.

He is said to have allegedly participated in the scheme between July 2017 through about 2018, obtaining over 5,500 company user accounts through a cyber-intrusion technique referred to as “credential stuffing.”

The statement read;

Quote:“As alleged, Onus did this as effectively as someone who commits bank burglary, but with no need for a blowtorch or bolt-cutters. Thanks to the FBI and IRS-CI, Onus is in custody and facing serious federal charges.
"During a credential stuffing attack, a cyber threat actor collects stolen credentials, or username and password pairs, obtained from other large-scale data breaches of other companies.  The threat actor then systematically attempts to use those stolen credentials to obtain unauthorized access to accounts held by the same user with other companies and providers, to compromise accounts where the user has maintained the same password.
“After Onus successfully gained unauthorised access to a company user account, he changed the bank account information designated by the user of the account so that Onus would receive the user’s payroll to a prepaid debit card that was under Onus’ control.
“From at least in or about July 2017 through at least in or about 2018, at least approximately 5,500 company user accounts were compromised and more than approximately $800,000 in payroll funds were fraudulently diverted to prepaid debit cards, including those under the control of Onus."

The 34-year-old Nigerian national has now been charged with “one count of computer fraud for causing damage to a protected computer" which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

The statement added;

Quote:“One count of computer fraud for unauthorised access to a protected computer to further intended fraud, and one count of receipt of stolen money, each of which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison; one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and one count of aggravated identity theft, which carries a mandatory sentence of two years in prison to be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed."

Girl, 14, kills herself after being gang-raped in cemetery and videos of the attack was posted online

A 14-year-old girl has killed herself after she was gang-raped in a cemetery and the pictures and videos of the attack were posted online.

The horrifying ordeal took place in Ghent, Belgium, and has drawn a response from the very top of the Belgian government, with the country’s justice minister expressing his shock and outrage over what happened.

So far, five people, all from Ghent, have been arrested after police identified the alleged perpetrators from the online images.

The suspects include three minors aged 14 and 15 and two adults aged 18 and 19.

The girl, from Gavere, south of Ghent, thought she was meeting a friend on May 15. However, on getting to the Westerbegraafplaats cemetery, she found four other people were also there with her friend, and they allegedly gang-raped her.

Four days after it happened, the girl killed herself. Her family were then told about the attack by one of the girl's friends, who she had confided in.

According to Belgian media reports, two of the minors who have been arrested are brothers, and some of the suspects were already known to police.

They have been arrested on suspicion of rape, indecent assault and the taking and dissemination of photographs likely to constitute an attack on the integrity of a person.

The two adults will be in court next Wednesday.

Denis Dierick, the mayor of Gavere, said he knew the victim well and said her death was "pure horror" and "an inhuman tragedy".

Justice minister Vincent van Quikernborn promised on Twitter that those responsible for the girl’s dreadful ordeal would be punished.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY 3RD JUNE.

YOU’RE IN GOD’S REALM OF LIFE

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” The word translated “incorruptible” is “aphthartos” (Greek), and it means not corruptible, immortal. You were born again by God’s immortal seed.

Immortality is translated from “aphtharsia” (Greek) in 2 Timothy 1:10, meaning life that can’t be damaged, dented or shortened. That’s the life you have in you now that you’re born again. When you received Christ to live in you, you were brought into life and immortality: “…by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2 Timothy 1:10).

Thus, you’re in God’s realm of life; you’re to reign through the Word. Every king has a realm in which he reigns; yours is the realm of life where death has no power. Blessed be God! You need to be awakened to this reality; the reality of your immortality. You’re not an ordinary person; you’re not subject to the elements and rudiments of this failing world of darkness.

You’re seated with Christ in the realm of glory, dominion, and power. You ought to affirm every day, “In my path, there’s no death; there’s no failure; everything works! There’s glory, excellence and victory only, because I dwell in the realm of life.”
Completely refuse and reject anything that isn’t consistent with the God-life in you. Reject sickness, disease, infirmity and all works of darkness.

According to the Scriptures, you’ve passed from death to life, from mortality into immortality, from age into agelessness, because in Christ, you live in God’s realm of life.

PRAYER

Thank you Father, for in Christ Jesus life and immortality have been unveiled. I dwell in the realm of life, and in that realm, there’s no lack or poverty, no sickness, disease or infirmity; I reign gloriously over circumstances. I have and manifest the life and nature of God that transcends the ordinary human life. Hallelujah!

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I have a brand new life in Christ. Everything about my life is infused with divinity and speaks of God’s glory. Eternal life, love, health, peace, joy, righteousness, prosperity are all mine!

My life is for the glory of God! All things are fashioned to work together for my good because I love the Lord, and I’ve been called according to His purpose. Everything I require for life and godliness has been delivered unto me, and I am enjoying life to the full.

I have received abundance of grace, therefore, my capacity, vision, dreams, and ideas have expanded. I am conscious of the grace of God that is at work in me mightily.

I am expanding on every side; growing stronger by the day like a cedar in Lebanon, and flourishing like the palm tree! I am making progress by the Spirit, and of my increase, progress, and prosperity, there shall be no end!

My entire being is inundated with the life of God and I am powered by the Holy Ghost to do bigger things. I am set on the course on which I must follow and God’s Spirit is leading me in the path of success, victory, and prosperity. Hallelujah!

I am made, and I live each day to fulfil God’s dream for my life. I do not struggle but enjoy unstoppable growth and progress as I receive guidance and light from the Lord.

I am not of this world; I seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all the hardships, troubles, perils, and the corrupting influences in the world. I dominate and triumph over circumstances today and always. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

Offshore Worker Returns To Find Cucumber In Girlfriend’s Cupboard, Landlady Post Video On Social Media

A Nigerian offshore worker returned to find a huge cucumber hidden in his girlfriend’s cupboard after spending two weeks at work.

The landlady of the apartment that the lovers live in made good her threat by sharing the video of the incident on social media.

According to the distraught boyfriend, he came back from work to discover the huge cucumber wrapped inside a cond*m.

He told the landlady that he had caught the lady with a vibrator before but she denied doing anything with it.

He wondered if that was how she wants to be satisfying herself while always complaining that he does not.

She kept insisting that she doesn’t use the cucumber for anything despite the glaring evidence of cond*m on it.

Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Council petitions UK and US over President Buhari's tweet about civil war

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council OYC has petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC), the United Kingdom and United States of America USA over the tweet posted by President Buhari making reference to the civil war.

In a statement signed by the National President of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the group alleged the President’s tweet was another subtle plan for an attack against Ndigbo. Nnabuike said the President via his tweet had'' prepared the ground for another attack on Ndigbo by security forces.''

Nnabuike added that the President had pushed Ndigbo to the wall enough for them to react.

Part of the petition sent to the foreign government's reads

Quote:“We write to alert the international community on another planned attack against Ndigbo.
This is sadly coming few days after Ndigbo held a memorial in honour of over 5 million lives wasted, including children, during the civil war.
We are more concerned that this is coming from the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It is quite sad that while the same Buhari presidency is busy romancing with Boko Haram and other bandits in the North, it has in another stroke threatened massacre of Ndigbo simply for agitating to have their own country.
We are, therefore, alerting the United Nations, the United States of America, the International Criminal Court, ICC, UK, and other international organizations of this looming attack in Igboland, as Mr. President has given the security agencies license to wipe our people out as can be deduced from his recent statement.
Already, several innocent Igbo youths have been murdered by security forces under the watch of Buhari, under the guise of hunting ESN, yet his Government is still looking for more blood.
It is thus imperative that we send this SOS message to the international community as Buhari’s hatred for Ndigbo has now reached extreme level”

EXCLUSIVE: In secret memo, AGF Malami asks Buhari to suspend Nigerian Constitution,

EXCLUSIVE: In secret memo, AGF Malami asks Buhari to suspend Nigerian Constitution, declare martial law

In the eight-page memo of May 4, 2021, Mr Malami argued that insecurity across Nigeria has reached a level that could no longer be checked by existing democratic techniques.

President Muhammadu Buhari is in the process of declaring a state of emergency across the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Peoples Gazette can report based on a secret memo and official accounts, as the administration scrambles to waggle its way out of acute insecurity and the encumbrances of constitutional provisions.

Attorney-General Abubakar Malami has already written lengthy legal advice to the Nigerian president, urging him to move swiftly to suspend the fundamental rights of all Nigerians as guaranteed under Chapter IV of the Constitution.

In the eight-page secret memo dated May 4, 2021, Mr Malami told Mr Buhari that insecurity across Nigeria has reached a level that could no longer be checked by existing democratic techniques, saying only a state of emergency promulgated by the president can help return the country to tranquillity.
[Image: Buhari-and-Malami-690x400.jpg]President Muhammadu Buhari and AGF Abubakar Malami
“The essence of declaration is to allow for suspension of constitutional and legal bureaucratic bottlenecks pertaining to matters of National Security with particular regards to fundamental rights guaranteed under Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution and processes and procedures relating to procurements, among others,” the attorney-general said.

Mr Malami said the president should issue instruments of emergency and publish them in the federal gazette. Senate President Ahmed Lawan and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila will be informed about the decision ahead of implementation, he added.

“To douse probable legal tension, it is important for the proclamation instrument of the statement of emergency to expressly provide for the suspension of Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution and its attendant enforcement rules,” Mr Malami wrote.

“The suspension of rights pertaining to matters of national security will then give legal backing for the proclamation of the statement of emergency to be operational and effective without litigious or judicial distractions.”

In the early pages of the document, Mr Malami cited widespread acts of insecurity and blamed prominent separatist agitators like Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu for fueling the protracted crisis that has enveloped the country and aggravated the social and economic conditions of Nigerians.
The memo was endorsed to the president by National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno and administration officials are divided on how to proceed with the advice.

“Clearly, different factions of our government have different positions on this alarming proposal,” a presidency official told The Gazette. “But everyone agrees that the AGF holds powerful sway over the president and it would be a miracle if the Constitution is not suspended as he recommended.”

Another official also within the presidency, who confirmed hearing about the memo but had not seen it before they were reached by The Gazette, said Mr Buhari might have little resistance considering the potency of Mr Malami’s argument.

“The president is just saying they should act in the best interest of the country,” the official said. “Even as the president, he seemed to have given up on his own ability to get the AGF to back down.”

Constitution suspended
Multiple constitutional scholars and practitioners who analysed the memo for The Gazette said it was essentially a suspension of the Nigerian Constitution and declaration of martial law since Chapter IV dealt with fundamental human rights absence of which there cannot be a democratic system.

The analysts acknowledged the powers of the president to issue a state of emergency under Section 305 of the Constitution but said the powers are not absolute and do not include outright suspension of Chapter IV. While Section 305 said the president can declare a national emergency to curb criminalities, it did not expressly permit suspension of Chapter IV, which analysts described as the most important section of the Constitution.
[Image: Police-office.jpg]Photo of a police station on fire
The right to life and other crucial rights of modern society will be suspended under Mr Malami’s proposal.

The attorney-general appeared to lay the groundwork for the controversial plan when he decried on Tuesday that Mr Buhari’s respect for human rights was largely responsible for the administration’s seeming incompetence at tackling widespread carnage and lawlessness.

Under siege
Mr Malami and presidential spokesman Garba Shehu did not return The Gazette’s requests for comments about the proposal.
Mr Buhari has been conflicted over widespread chaos that threatens to define his eight-year leadership as a democratically-elected leader. His administration is the fourth since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999 following years of military dictatorship.

Whereas he touted his military bona fides as a plus for his fitness for a nation beset by insecurity, the country has seen no changes in security challenges under Mr Buhari. Since 2015, thousands of Nigerians have been killed by armed bandits, killer herdsmen, kidnappers and even security agents. Millions of citizens are already racked by economic hardships which analysts blamed on the administration’s rudderless policies.
[Image: Nigeria-Kidnappings-Bandits-with-weapons2-670x400.jpg]Bandits
In his argument, Mr Malami alerted the president to the dangers of allowing the situation to go on unchecked, saying it would wreak even more devastating chaos compared to the current level of disorder.
But the prevailing state of security in Nigeria can be addressed under the existing constitutional framework, legal analyst Abdul Mahmud told The Gazette on Wednesday evening.
“The AGF’s position is nonsensical,” Mr Mahmud said. “They have their own sinister agenda and are trying to come under suspension of the Constitution to actualise it.”
Mr Mahmud said he was incensed by Mr Malami’s suggestion to the president, saying it was unbefitting of his position as attorney-general

“If the attorney-general who ought to be the chief protector of our Constitution is suggesting the need to suspend Chapter IV of the Constitution, then it is clearly an attempt to plunge the country into further crisis,” he said.
“There’s no part of the Constitution, including Section 305, that contemplated the suspension of Chapter IV, which essentially is the suspension of the Constitution itself,” the legal expert said.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

WEDNESDAY 2TH JUNE

HAVE NO FEAR; BELIEVE GOD’S WORD

And these signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18).

In the past year, perhaps, more than ever in the history of this generation, we’ve seen intense distress of nations, with many living in immense fear. Even amongst Christians, we’ve seen church leaders go as far as putting up a sign to indicate they’re shutting down their churches because of fear.

But such actions are inconsistent with the ministry of Jesus Christ in whom we’ve believed. How can a Christian—who the Bible says is the salt of the earth and the light of the world, the one who’s anointed with the Holy Ghost; a God-carrying vessel—be afraid?

Jesus highlighted the signs with which to identify those who believe in Him, part of which we read in our opening scripture. No one who truly believes in Jesus will be afraid of any sickness or infectious disease. He said in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Your reaction to the things going on in the world today shows whether or not you truly believe in Jesus. It’s the pressures of life that reveal your convictions. If as a Christian, you’re “afraid” of sickness or disease, then in which God did you believe? Certainly not the same God that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the Prophets and the Apostles knew and talked about.

For many years, I’ve laid hands on people with some of the most contagious diseases in the world; very infectious diseases; but I could never have any fear of becoming infected, because it’s the same ministry of Jesus, by the life and power of the Holy Spirit. We have the divine life that’s “uninfectable” and impregnable to any sickness or disease. Take the Word of God seriously; study it; believe it, and live it.

CONFESSION

I’ve been sent forth to be the solution to the problems of the world, and I’m fulfilling my ministry. I’m a partaker of the divine nature. I’m conscious that I have power over sickness, disease and infirmities; to heal them and live above them. This is my reality. Hallelujah!

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that my spirit, soul, and body are illuminated by the light of God’s Word. I will never walk in confusion or uncertainty; I have an understanding of the times. I know what tomorrow holds for me because my spiritual antenna is attuned to the right frequency.

I am in sync with the Spirit of God, and I know the mind of God concerning me. Hallelujah! There’s no accident in my path! I have first-hand information; nothing happens in and within my world without my knowledge.

I have insight into the secrets and mysteries of the Kingdom. Hallelujah!
I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ; therefore, all things are mine! I am an offspring of the Word; I am born into greatness and never-ending victories and possibilities. I’m in the centre of God’s will for my life.

I am hid in Christ and Christ in God. No weapon formed against me will ever prosper because the Lord has given me the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Daily,

I go out with joy and I am led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills break forth before me in singing and all the trees of the field clap their hands. Hallelujah!

For my sake, the loins of kings are let loose and the gates to the nations can never be shut against me. This is my time and my season, there’s no stopping me! The Spirit of God has broken in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

He has granted unto me the treasures of darkness and the hidden riches of the secret places. Thus, I’m moving upward and forward and prospering in everything I do. Blessed be God.

HAPSODY OF REALITIES

TUESDAY 1ST JUNE.

PRAYER: A JOYFUL RESPONSE TO GOD'S INVITATION

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us (1 John 5:14).

Ephesians 6:18 says, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Notice that it says, “Praying always”; not “Praying sometimes.” It parallels what Jesus said in Luke 18:1: “..Men ought always to pray, and not to faint."

lf you’re a praying Christian, you'll be an effective Christian; effective through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said to His disciples, “...without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). In prayer, you maintain that connection in your communication; you remain open to His will and bring others to Him in your heart, as you pray for them.

Some think prayer is the response of the helpless or the weak to insurmountable and overwhelming challenges; no! Prayer, primarily, is fellowship with God; and even though when one is oppressed. or suffers injustice, he should pray, that isn’t the reason for prayer. Prayer is the joyful response of the one who, with a heart full of faith, trusts in the living God.

Prayer is a response, more to God’s invitation to pray, than the response to a situation. He invited us to pray because He intended to answer. So, the greatest part of prayer isn’t the prayer itself; it’s the answer. We haven't had a great prayer time if we didn’t receive answers to our prayer! Irrespective of what we have said in prayer, it’s God’s response that truly matters.

Thanks be unto God! We’re ordained to receive answers when we pray, because He said if we pray according to His will-His rule for prayer, which is praying in the Name of Jesus-He hears us. If He heard us, then He answered us. That’s the beauty of prayer: the fact that we’re guaranteed of a hearing (1 John 5:14). You ought to rejoice each time you pray, and say like Jesus, “Father, I thank you, because you hear me always” (John 11:42). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the blessing, privilege and opportunity of prayer; a channel for rich fellowship with you. I trust you with my life, and I’m confident that my future is secure; I'll fulfil your destiny for me gloriously, as I remain yielded to your Spirit, guided by your wisdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I affirm that the Lord has made my life so beautiful! His divine power has bestowed on me [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called me by His own glory and excellence.

I rejoice in His infinite grace and boundless love, for He has caused me to dwell in prosperity in Christ Jesus! I am living triumphantly, every day, enjoying my life, and celebrating the greatness of God in me.

I’m walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, triumphant always and in every place, making manifest the savour of the knowledge and glory of Christ. Hallelujah.

I am rightly positioned in Christ; the devil and the cohorts of hell can never lord it over me. I’ve been granted the authority to cast out devils, speak in tongues, and walk in victory and dominion over Satan, the world, and its systems. Hallelujah!

I am highly favored of God and empowered by grace for the triumphant life! I am full of the Holy Ghost! Daily as I affirm the Word, my spirit is edified, conditioned, and my victorious path is paved! I am strengthened and fortified to do the things of God and exercise dominion over circumstances. Hallelujah.

I walk in the supernatural, demonstrating the wisdom and character of the Holy Spirit, my sole source of power, strength, ability, and inspiration. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY 31ST MAY.

KEEPING HIS WORD

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).

In John 14:21, the Lord Jesus reveals the secret to winning every day, living triumphantly. He said, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” If you want Him to show up in your life, and for His glory to be manifested in and through you, He says it’s simple: “Keep my words."

His glory is manifested when you act on His Word. Recall at the wedding in Cana of Galilee; when they needed more wine, Mary admonished the servants saying, “Whatever He tells you to do, do it.” Jesus then told them to fill the water pots with water, and when they did, the water turned into wine. It was Jesus’ first recorded miracle.

John then tells us concerning that miracle, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him” (John 2:11). Prove your love by doing His Word, and you’ll experience blessings and miracles in your ministry, job, business, finances, physical body, and everything about you.
If you’ve found yourself in a situation where everything around you seems hard, don’t despair.

Put the things you’ve learnt to practice. We’re Wordpractitioners; we do the Word. The challenges you face are your opportunity to demonstrate your trust in the Lord, and prove His Word. Therefore, keep declaring your health, success, prosperity, and victory in Christ Jesus.

CONFESSION

I’m triumphant forever, because I’m born of God, and I live by His Word. Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. My life is for the glory of God; I win every day; that’s my heritage in the Lord! I’m strong in Him, and in the power of His might to do exploits! Blessed be God!

#TALKINGSESSION

Dear Father, I acknowledge the precious Holy Spirit You’ve given me; He’s my Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby. I am mightily helped of You, and therefore confident that my progress, prosperity, and advancement are evident. I am grateful for Your love and acknowledge Your glory in my life. There’s none like You, blessed Father.

You’ve made my heart Your dwelling place and beautified me with Your righteousness. Your goodness, mercy, and grace follow me all the days of my life. I have eternal life in my spirit because I’ve received Christ. Christ in me means glory in my life; it means divinity revealed and expressed in, and through me. I am the expression of the beauties and righteousness of Christ, bringing wholeness, sanity, and salvation to my world.

The life of God is working in me; in every fiber of my being, in every cell of my blood, and in every bone of my body. I reign in life by Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! I live in, by, and through Your Word; Your Word pilots me and has lifted me above the confusion and the failure that work in this world.

I live a life of success, health, prosperity, victory, and glory. The life of Christ in me makes me triumphant. I am making progress from glory to glory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY 30TH MAY.

IN CHRIST YOU’VE OVERCOME.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

In 1 John 5:5, John, by the Spirit asks, “Who is he that has overcome the world?” He immediately gives the answer: it’s the one who believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God! In the world, there’s hunger, poverty insecurity, sickness and disease, death and darkness. But you’re “in Christ.” Stay in Christ, for in Christ you’ve overcome Satan, the world and its failing systems.

It’s only when you look outside Christ that you see and are overwhelmed by the troubles, sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world. He said, “In me, there’s peace; cheer up.” That’s His Word unto you. Accept it, and suddenly, you’d realize that nothing in this world can put you down.

No wonder He says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). This is the reason we’re forever excited about preaching the Gospel and making the love and righteousness of Christ known. How could anyone know this truth and be quiet?

The whole world needs to know that there’s a Name that’s above every name, and that at that Name, every demon bows! At that Name, sicknesses give way! At that Name, poverty has no chance! They need to know that there’s success in life that’s independent of the world’s economics. True peace and prosperity are only found in Christ.

This is where you come in; refuse to be quiet.
Open your mouth, and declare the Gospel freely and boldly. Let those you come in contact with know that only in Jesus Christ is there salvation. Let them know that God isn’t mad at them, and that they can now embrace life through the Gospel. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Lord, your Word is in my heart like a burning fire, shut up in my bones; I refuse to hold back and be quiet. With boldness, I make the good news of God’s saving power known to those in my world, and through me, the fire of the Gospel is spreading with rapid intensity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The glory, grace, and power of God are activated in my life and in all I do. God’s Word is for my advantage, progress, blessing, and promotion. My heart and mind are open to receive and understand the Scriptures; therefore, I am wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

The Word is effectual in my life, producing in me what it talks about. Hallelujah! I have obtained an inheritance, which is imperishable and undefiled! I am in sync with the Father, and my life is filled with divine verities.

I’ve been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. I lack nothing! I am the seed of Abraham; I am imbued with divine wisdom to affect lives positively all over the world. My mind is anointed to bring forth innovations, ideas, inventions, and solutions to bless the world.

Down in my heart is the nature of the Father! I am unstoppable; for I am supernaturally enabled to implement God-given ideas to make the world a better place. I am growing stronger by the day, like a cedar in Lebanon, and flourishing like the palm tree!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SATURDAY 29TH MAY.

INSPIRE LOVE

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works (Hebrews 10:24).

In Christianity, we provoke one another to love, to produce works of righteousness. We don’t provoke to hate, anger, jealousy or malice. Don’t provoke someone else to become resentful of another person. Always say and do things that promote love and peace, for you were created to love.

Jesus said in John 13:34, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Spread love. When people try to instigate a dislike within you for someone else, know that it’s a wrong spirit working through them, and lovingly let them know that they’re wrong.

Don’t entertain anything that’ll make you bitter or enraged towards someone else. Walk in love and inspire others to love. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). God has given you His love and the ability to express it lavishly. Romans 5:5 says, “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

Let love show in your language. Let it reflect in your actions. Walking in love reveals the perfection of your spirit and person. Jesus said in Matthew 5:48, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

But right before that, He said, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven…” (Matthew 5:44-45). He wants you to love unconditionally like your heavenly Father.

PRAYER

I rejoice, righteous Father, for your life that’s in my spirit; the life of love and righteousness, copiously expressed in my words and actions. I provoke others to love, and inspire them to produce works of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#TALKINGSESSION

Dear Heavenly Lord, I thank You because Your Word is alive and actively working in me, filling me with joy unspeakable and full of glory. I am fully resolved to live to Your honour and glory, by doing the Word and producing Word-based results.

Daily, I yield myself to the ministry of the Word and the Spirit to learn, develop and live out the Christ-life here on earth; a life of love, excellence, victory, dominion, and grace.

As I study the Word, my mind is renewed to think and walk in the reality of who I am in Christ, giving full expression to Your righteousness.

I am submissive to the authority, influence, and impact of Your Word. Pride, arrogance, haughtiness, or egotism have no place in me, for I walk in love and humility, experiencing ever-increasing greatness and unlimited progress in life.

I am constantly transfigured, being filled with the Spirit. Even now, as I speak in tongues, there’s an unleashing of the supernatural and all-around transformation in my spirit, soul, and body. My spirit gains the ascendancy and power over anything that’s of the world, and I rise higher and higher like an edifice.

I wax stronger, greater and more effective in the ministry of the Gospel, to the glory and praise of Your Name, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY 28TH MAY.

GRACE FOR SOUL WINNING

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8).

In the scripture above, the Apostle Paul acknowledged that grace—a supernatural enablement, a gifting, an ability, a blessing—had been granted him to preach the unfathomable riches of Christ to the Gentiles. The same is true about you today because the Word of God is undated, and has universal applicability.

What we read came through the Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit. That’s why it’s Scripture for us; but Paul has gone to heaven; however, that word has to be worked here. God is waiting for anybody who would step into it and announce it like Paul did. He’s waiting for whoever would be synchronized with it! I already got in sync with that verse years ago; so, I’m on it. Great grace has been granted me to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ, and I’m making full proof of it.

It’s your job to make everybody hear about and be influenced by Christ Jesus and His amazing love, and to have Christ in them. In the different organizations, platforms, forums and places you find yourself, see yourself placed there as a missionary.

It makes no difference where you work; in that place, you’ve been graced to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and bring glory to the Lord. Become conscious and strategic about it.
Perhaps you travel a lot; certainly, you meet people while on such trips; minister the Gospel to them.

Moreover, when you arrive your destination, there’re souls there! Find out how you can effectively reach them. You can begin by giving them copies of Rhapsody of Realities. Be an effective witness for the Lord.

That’s the reason for your life. Jesus said, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16).

PRAYER

My life is about one thing only: establishing the righteousness of God and the reign of His Kingdom in the earth, for necessity is laid upon me to this effect. I make full proof of my calling as an effective witness as I go about winning souls and impacting others with the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am a new man in Christ! I’ve been clothed with the new spiritual self, which is renewed and moulded after the image and likeness of God. I am one with the Father; therefore, I think excellent thoughts and only see pictures of excellence, success, victory, and abundance!

My mind is focused on things that are pure, just, honest, lovely, virtuous, and of good report. I am an offspring of Word, God’s Word is light and glory; as I meditate and live by the Word, I am transformed into the glorious image that I behold therein.

There’s no darkness in me; I enjoy a sweet and rich fellowship with the Word and the Spirit.
The entrance of God’s Word floods my heart with light and brings brilliance and beauty into my life.

God’s Word is deeply rooted in my heart and it grows, prevails, and produces results in every area of my life. My life is beautified; I am like a well-watered garden, I am fruitful and productive always, and at all times.

Everything and everyone that is connected to me experiences the grace of God and responds to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Goodness and mercy follow me every day of my life, and whatever I lay my hands to do prospers.

I am not ordinary; a supply system from God has been set in motion on my behalf. I can never be broke; for the Lord has blessed me lavishly and supplied all my needs.

My heart’s desires are granted me as I delight myself in Him. Even now, I receive my supply for today. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY 27TH MAY.

JUSTIFIED WITH A NEW LIFE

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

Each time I think about all that Jesus did for us, oftentimes, tears of worship and appreciation flow freely from my eyes. I’m elated with uncontrollable joy. Think about it: because of Jesus, we’ve been declared not guilty; justified; acquitted.

Ephesians 2:4-6 tells us, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are savedWink And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” When Jesus died, we died with Him. When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him from the dead, we were raised together with Him.

We were in Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. Romans 4:24-25 says, “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” We weren’t justified by His death; we were justified by His resurrection.

When He was raised from the dead, He was born again (Acts 13:32-33). He’s the head of the new creation. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

You’re not the same person that was born of your biological parents; that’s the old man that had the nature of sin. That old man died in Christ, and a new YOU was born when you were born again. No wonder He says in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Walk in the consciousness and light of your new life and nature in Christ. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Righteous Father, what a great celebration the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus has ushered us into, in that when he was raised from the dead, we were raised together with Him, and thus, received justification. I’m alive in Christ; therefore, I walk in this newness of life. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that God has granted me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of my understanding are enlightened, and I am increasing more and more in knowledge and in judgment, able to discern and function at all times in the centre of God’s will.

Christ dwells in my heart by faith; therefore, I am confident of a greater tomorrow, and a day-to-day life of ever-increasing glory because He is the one taking me by the hand, and leading me to fulfil God’s perfect will for me.

I am filled with all the fullness of God. Hallelujah! I am in Christ, and I have taken my place. I am seated with Christ in the place of authority, over and above every government, authority, power, lordship and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

I am over and above all circumstances of life. Christ is my excellent wisdom.
I have an excellent mind; everything I do turns out right, because I live in the will of God, guided, guarded, and propelled by wisdom. Hallelujah!

I am God’s workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus unto good works. I acknowledge my origin, heritage, and personality in Christ; thus, my faith is operative and effective in the Name of Jesus!

I am God’s best, His cream and beauty, and my life is for His glory, now and forever. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

WEDNESDAY 26TH MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: HIS BLOOD SPEAKS BETTER THINGS
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).

In 1 Corinthians 11:25, the Bible says Jesus took _*“...the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”*_ His blood represents His life. He gave His life for you that you may live.

The Bible says we weren’t redeemed with silver or gold or precious stones but with the blood, the precious blood of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God (1 Peter 1:18-19). His blood is your true value; and His blood speaks! It speaks blessings in your behalf.

His blood speaks your righteousness, justification, victory, prosperity and divine protection. You’re not left to the dictates and mercy of the adversary or the dominion of sin. You’re purified and preserved by His blood. The Bible says, _*“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us” (Hebrews 9:12).

Thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ! It speaks your salvation. Hallelujah! The Bible says He was made sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus didn’t just save you from sin; He gave you His life and nature.

Today, sin, its effects and consequences have no dominion over you. You’re free to serve the Lord and live for Him.
Before Jesus came, there were sacrifices and offerings for the atonement of sins in the Old Testament. This involved the killing of animals, several bulls and goats. But the Bible says in Hebrews 10:4, “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”

Jesus Christ, with one sacrifice, has PERFECTED FOREVER all those who are called in Him. He offered Himself once, for the total blotting away, the removal of sins (Hebrews 9:14). He purged our sins by His own blood: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3).

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the blood of Jesus that gave me remission, justification, redemption, access, fellowship, cleansing and the blessings of the New Testament. I walk in the finished works of Christ, and the glory that His death, burial, and resurrection wrought for me. Blessed be your Name forever.

FURTHER STUDY

Hebrews 9:13-15
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 10:1-7
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year. 4 For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am one with the Father! I carry myself with dignity, knowing my great value and worth in Christ Jesus; I’m chosen, royal and peculiar! My life is glorious, and my future is bright!

The Spirit of God has perfected all that concerns me and granted me all that I need to live a successful life. I am the light of the world; a city that is set on a hill that can not be hidden. I will never walk in darkness or confusion because I have the light of life.

I’ve been called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, to display the excellence and perfections of divinity!

I am a life-giving spirit, and everything that proceeds from me is full of life. I live the supernatural life, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet! My life is full of possibilities; for out of my belly flow rivers of living water. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

TUESDAY 25TH MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: ENDLESS JOY

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).

According to the Scriptures, there’s a relationship between joy and the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 says, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Also, in 1 Thessalonians 1:6, the Bible says, “And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.”And our theme verse says the Kingdom of God is “righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Although some Christians have received the Holy Spirit, their hearts are full of troubles; they’re worried about many things. They’re worried about their children, their health, business, etc. They just seem to have so many reasons to not be happy.
Someone may say, “With the things happening in my life, I need a change of environment; I need to travel somewhere I can really be happy.” No! Don’t look to anything external to give you joy. Joy is one of the fruits of your recreated human spirit. So, it’s in you. Your spirit produces endless joy. It’s called, “...joy unspeakable and full of glory”(1 Peter 1:8).

True joy and happiness have nothing to do with what’s going on around you. Our joy is independent of circumstances. We’re joyful in adversity. That’s what the Bible says: count it all joy, when you go through diverse tests (James 1:2).

Some thoughts may come to you to dampen your faith, to douse your joy and dampen your spirit; always be quick to discard such thoughts. Be joyful ALWAYS! The Spirit of God does more for and with us in an atmosphere of joy and happiness. So, make up your mind to be joyful, today, and always.

CONFESSION

I’ve been brought into the life of unending joy, the joy that comes from the inner man and transcends physical circumstances. My joy is of the Spirit, and independent of circumstances; I’m ever strong and alive, for the joy of the Lord is my strength! Blessed be God!

FURTHER STUDY:

1 Peter 1:7-8
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that the Word is working in me mightily, propelling me in the path of greatness as I fulfil my destiny in Christ. God’s Word has granted me direction, speed, illumination, inspiration, counsel, and wisdom.

My spirit is constantly equipped, refreshed, and educated by the Word to produce excellence and manifest righteousness. I’ve been ushered into a life that is beyond the ordinary plane of natural perception.

I am full of might and ability of the Spirit. I am like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out her roots by the river. I do not know when heat comes.

I am prosperous and triumphant always in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah! I am well positioned; seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all the hardships, troubles, and perils in the world. I am of a different breed!

I am not a part of the suffering masses. God has handpicked me out of the masses; out of the corruptive influence of this world into the Kingdom of His dear Son. I’m in a safe place; a place of authority and dominion. Hallelujah!

I can never be a victim; for God has prearranged my life for good. I walk those paths that have been laid out for me before the foundations of the world and I prosper in all my ways. I am of the day and not of the night; therefore, darkness has no place in me.

I am the light of the world; my calling is to illumine the hearts of men. When I arrive anywhere, illumination comes, and confusion and perplexity are dispelled. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

I’ve often said that money is an illusion that exists only in the minds of the poor. There’s no such thing as “money.” Money is a deception and a distraction in the world. When God made this world, there was no such thing as money. Money evolved with time. With what’s happening in the world today, many now better understand that money is a game of numbers.

What God expects is that you live as the champion that He’s made you. Fear nothing in this world, and refuse to be intimidated. That’s the Gospel. Prosperity is beyond money. The presence or absence of money doesn’t change your state or condition spiritually, and therefore shouldn’t change your testimony of God.

If, for example, you require something, and your money isn’t enough for it, that doesn’t mean you can’t have it; you can get it free! That’s the life of prosperity I’m talking about. God never said, “Except you have the money, nothing will be yours”; rather, He said plainly, “…all things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21).

What’s important is the purchasing power, and your purchasing power isn’t money; it’s your faith! You have what God says you have, irrespective of the currencies you have at hand or don’t have. Believe this and you’d be free from the power and intimidation of money.

CONFESSION

Blessed be God! His divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that’s called me to glory and virtue. I’m free from the power and intimidation of money. I walk in victory and in absolute prosperity, bringing forth from within all that I require for success. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 3:21-22 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am made forever! This is the morning of my life and I am living in the rest of the Lord. I’ve ceased from all struggles; for the Father has ordained me to receive answers to prayers, and He has granted me insight and an understanding of the acceptable way of asking in accordance with His will!

I am thus confident of answers to my prayers as I offer them in the Name of Jesus today. I am a winner, a success, and a victor at every count.

I walk in continual victory because I know who I am. Everything I am involved in prospers because I have the life of God in me and have overcome the world.

I am anointed by the Spirit of God to bring life to seemingly dead situations. If I ever get involved, it has no choice but to work! Nothing is permitted to die within and around me because I am a life-giver and I carry an atmosphere of life everywhere I go. Hallelujah!

The Father has shown me the way to a life of continuous victory, through my faith-filled affirmations, in accordance to His Word! I will never be discouraged or subject to the crippling principles of this world because the Word of God on my lips is God talking. I reign triumphantly over and above all the negativities of life. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY 23RD MAY.

VICTORIOUS BY THE WORD

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1).

In Ezra Chapter 6, the children of Israel decided to build the house of God upon their return from exile. The Bible tells us that as they built it, they prospered. Ezra 6:14 tells us how they prospered: “… they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo....”

The latter part says, “And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.” This is profound, instructive and enlightening.

They prospered in their work, they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and the instructions of Kings Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, who were kings of Persia at different times. Those prophets caused it to happen through their message. They brought them the Word of God.

The ministry of the Word is so important in our lives; it’s integral to every success. That’s why we bring the Word to you every day through this devotional, to strengthen you, especially in these dark days. We’re not moved by what’s happening in the world today, because we know that in all these things, we’re more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). We prevail by the Word. Our glory, victories and success were preordained before the foundation of the world.

We’re aware that the current imbroglio around the world is the handiwork of Satan. He tries to weaken the nations and their economies. But God never leaves you stranded. He keeps bringing you His Word to guide, encourage and strengthen you. Through the ministry of the Word, the wisdom and skill you require to be victorious are imparted to you.

Keep learning and meditating on the Word of God; it’ll grow mightily in you and prevail. You’ll be a wonder to your world, dominating circumstances, living above Satan and the elements of this world.

CONFESSION

Thanks be unto God, who always causes me to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of His knowledge by me in every place. I have a life of consistent and continuous victory in Christ, for God has raised me, and made me to sit together with Christ in heavenly places, with dominion over crises, the world and Satan. Blessed be God!

#TALKINGSESSION

Dear Lord Jesus, I worship and extol Your majesty, for You’re the great King; the Monarch of the universe; the mighty God. I worship You from my spirit for making me an excellent person, and decorating my life with Your glory.

I extol Your majesty and praise You for Your blessings and wondrous works in my life. I am forever grateful to be born with Your nature, and life in my spirit; I worship You for this awesome privilege. Hallelujah!

I thank You for the oneness I have with You! Being justified by faith; acquitted and declared righteous, I have peace with You; Your righteousness has produced peace in me, and for me in Your presence; peace with prosperity! I revel in the divine harmony, bliss and joy that You’ve brought me into.

Thank You for this awesome privilege. Daily, I fulfil my calling, ministry and responsibility as the light of the world by expressing Your righteousness, and impacting my world with the Gospel of Your grace.

I give meaning, direction, beauty, glory, and excellence to the lives of men in my world, turning them from the power of Satan unto You, and from darkness into light.

I thank You for the extraordinary authority vested in me, to rule and reign as a king in life. I’ve become a dispenser of Your goodness; I manifest Your glory, splendour and wisdom; Your righteousness is expressed through me today, and always in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SATURDAY 22ND MAY.

ALL ABOUT SOUL WINNING

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

As a Christian, you must be effective in soul winning. You’re a missionary here on earth, an ambassador for Christ. You’re commissioned of God to take the message of salvation to others. That’s the instruction given to us, as read in the scripture above. Your life should be about soul winning; dedicate your time, effort, and resources to it.

Be known for your passion for the Lord, His Gospel, and the souls of men. Soul winning was Jesus’ lifestyle. On a certain occasion, as He passed through Samaria on His way from Judea to Galilee, He needed to rest a bit; so He sat at a well, while His disciples went to get some food.

While at the well, a woman came to draw water, and Jesus began to preach the Good News to her (Read John 4). Jesus encountered this woman and brought her out of her shell—the feeling that she was “nobody.” Despite being a total stranger to her, He gave her a new self-value. The Bible tells us to follow His example (1 Peter 2:21).

Sometimes, there’re those that we have to reach out to. You may notice someone who’s sitting quietly in a corner somewhere, and you pull a chair and sit beside that one, and say, “Can I be of help to you?” Then in the process, minister the Gospel to that one.

There’s the one who’s alone and seems helpless; then you come by, sit with him or her and you lead them to Christ. Don’t ignore them and act like they’re not there. Become concerned about their plight. Your life is all about being an effective witness for Jesus Christ. You represent Him in your world.

Your lifestyle and actions before non-Christians should, and must, be such that endear Christ to them, to believe and receive the Gospel. Your job is to win them and bring them into the Kingdom.

PRAYER

Lord, what an honour it is to be enlisted into the ministry of reconciliation! I’ll keep sharing the good news with those around me, and I’ll do it with courage, boldness and confidence. By your Spirit, I’ll help them learn the Word, showing them the path of life and how to live. I’m effective in the ministry of the Gospel, and through me, salvation comes to many, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

FRIDAY 21ST MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: CELEBRATE THE NAME OF JESUS

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him (Colossians 3:17).

You need to learn to celebrate the Name of Jesus. I mean you shut your door for privacy, and dance to the Name of Jesus, all by yourself! For some people, when they’re alone, they mope and gripe about everything that bothers them and makes them unhappy.

They’re always overwhelmed by their challenges, thinking about some unattained goals or “disappointments” they may have experienced. They can’t see what God has done. That shouldn’t be you.

When others aren’t with you, in your closet, you can say what you want and really express yourself in the presence of the Lord with no inhibitions. You can shout as much as you want to in celebration of the Lord, for His greatness and grace upon your life. Before long, you’d find yourself so stirred in the anointing of the Holy Ghost that you’d prophesy. Hallelujah!

I like to shout. I may not shout in a way that somebody else will hear me; I know how to shout “under my breath,” all by myself. I never have time for gloominess or to mull over negativity. The life of God in us is a great miracle; you ought to learn to celebrate it all the time.

There’s no reason for frustration or for you to be disadvantaged. If you’d learn to do these things, and do them consistently, even if you were in penury, He’ll bring you out, into abundance. Even if you thought you were already a failure, you’ll come out of that place. When you live your life in joy, in celebration of the Lord—His Name, and your life in Him, every day—you’ll always be on top. Glory to His Name forever.

PRAYER

Blessed Jesus, how glorious and precious you are! I acknowledge and appreciate your grace at work in me. Thank you for your mighty blessings in my life. With all of my heart, I worship you. I ascribe to you the glory due your Name.

Thank you for perfecting all that concerns me, and for your power and wisdom by which I live triumphantly today. You’ve made me your glory and righteousness. I love you forever, blessed Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that my life is the testimony, and revelation of God’s grace, wisdom, perfection, and righteousness. I’ve been divinely commissioned to display the virtues and perfections of divinity. I manifest the power and excellence of Christ to everyone in my world. I’ve obtained an inheritance, which is imperishable and undefiled!

I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. I am a success forever. The world is mine! I am in sync with the Spirit because my spirit is open to receive divine counsel and instructions from the Word. I am a doer of the Word, not a hearer only; I take fast hold of instruction. My heart is attentive, and I act fast on the Word.

I am guided by the Spirit of God in all things, and my heart is flooded with divine light that I may know and walk in God’s perfect will always.

My faith prevails today, as I put God’s Word to work; His righteousness and the forces of life within my spirit are unleashed, and His glory is revealed in and through me. This is my set time; I’ve been raised in rank, in character, and in status.

I am seated together with Christ in the place of authority, a place that is far removed from the operations and debilitating systems of this world. I dwell in safety because my address is Christ. All things are commanded to work together for my good.

Even now, ministering spirits are unleashed to work for my advantage because I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I am well positioned, and fortified; Everywhere I turn, goodness and favour are channeled towards me. I have an inherent ability to frame my world and make my life the epitome of God’s grace.

I am an extension of the Father to my world; whoever has seen me has seen the Father! I am constantly transformed from glory to glory, and my greatness is evident for all to see. Glory to God!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY 20TH MAY.

A PURPOSEFUL LIFE

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Luke 12:15).

There’s a popular story that’s been told for years, and it bears repeating because of its relevance today. It’s about a very wealthy man who had thousands of employees, but one day, he decided to commit suicide by drowning.

Somehow, there was a young man watching who had known this rich businessman for over twenty years. He rushed to the scene, just in time! At the risk of his own life, he dragged the old man back to shore. While they were both on the floor exhausted, trying to catch their breath, the old man said, “Why did you save me? You’re contributing to the frustration of my life.”

The young man, in complete shock, said, “But Sir, why would you want to die? Your family is the best in town. You’re well known in the community, and everybody loves you.” The old man retorted, “That’s the problem. I’ve lived for everybody. I’ve given jobs to thousands. I’ve made money for everybody. I’ve made people happy. But I’ve never been happy, myself. It’s not worth it. You should have allowed me to drown.” Then he pulled the young man close to himself and said, “Young man, try not to be like me. I’m a failure.” How sad.

But this is the situation of many. Don’t be carried away by the world’s symbols of success. Take for instance someone who, all his life, was raised with good character, but because of inordinate ambition for fame and wealth, he puts aside a good reputation and character to become a criminal. He thinks that’s the cheapest way. Because he thinks if he doesn’t measure up with the society of his day, that’s when he’s a failure. But man is not what he has!

Remember the words of Jesus, “…a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” The most important thing in life is to discover your purpose, and fulfill it. It begins with living your life for Jesus, making impact with the Gospel; that’s living a purposeful life.

CONFESSION

I have a successful life; one that pleases God. I’m fruitful and productive, passionate about the Kingdom of God and its reign in the earth and in the hearts of men. I produce works and results that glorify God; and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I achieve all that the Lord has destined me to achieve, and I have all I require to fulfill my destiny in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#TALKINGSESSION

Dear Father, I thank You, for You’ve made my life beautiful, and made me excellent all the way. You’re glorified in and through me today, by my progress and success as a result of Your Word at work in me.

Thank You for making me the epitome of Your righteousness, and vent for Your glory. Thank You for the divine transformation and transfiguration that I experience through prayer; Your glory fills my life; Your love thrills my soul; how I love to worship in Your presence!

Thank You for the blessings and privilege to fellowship with You through prayer. Thank You for Your glory in my life, Your indwelling presence that assures me of success and victory every day! I count it all joy to face diverse tests and trials because they’re for my promotion; they work for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, as I keep my gaze on You.

Thank You for the authority that’s mine in Christ Jesus. I reign and rule with Him over all things. Thank You for Your holy angels that minister for me; I recognize their presence with me today.

Even now, I dispatch them in the Name of Jesus to go forth and cause the blessings and provisions of God for me today to get to me by free course, unhindered, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

WEDNESDAY 19TH MAY.

LABOURING IN INTERCESSION

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12).

Some Christians are committed to interceding for others; they just know it’s their job to do so. We all should be that way, because God needs such people. It’s possible the reason you’re able to study the Word today like you’re doing right now is the dedication of such people. It could be the reason you’re growing in the things of God and standing in the faith today

You may not know it, but many are Christians today because of someone else who laboured in intercession, praying fervently, for their lives. The Bible says woe to that man who is alone; when he falls, he has no one to lift him up (Ecclesiastes 4:10). It’s important we support and lift others through prayer.

This doesn’t mean you become “a prayer collector,” enlisting “prayer warriors”; the local Church takes care of that. It’s the Pastor’s responsibility to train the Church to pray for one another.

Those who were around the Apostle Paul, one of whom is Epaphras, understood this message. As read in our theme verse, Epaphras interceded for the Church, God’s people in Colossi, to come to maturity. How inspiring!

When you take up the ministry of intercession, you’re siding with God as a labourer in the Kingdom. You’re working with Him to improve and impact the lives of others. Hallelujah! Jesus said, “The harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few” (Matthew 9:37). He needs those who would labour in prayer like Epaphras for the souls of men. Be that man or woman that He’s found to stand in the gap, to pray for people to come to Christ, to pray for fellow Christians who are yet to come to maturity in the things of God, and also for ministers of the Gospel to fulfill their call and destinies in the Gospel.

PRAYER

Dear Father, your grace that brings salvation has been made available to all men. Therefore, I pray for sinners around the world, that their hearts be open to receive the Gospel. I break Satan’s hold on people’s minds, so that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ would shine into them for salvation. And I pray that Christians around the world are strengthened with the might of the Spirit to preach the mystery of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life! I’ve been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I am the expression of God’s beauty!

His beauty in my spirit is bursting forth on the outside in an undeniable fashion. Excellence, glory, virtue, and success are the hallmarks of my life. I am triumphant, victorious, prosperous, and successful in all things.

My life is for God’s glory, and His righteousness is expressed in, and through me. Daily, I am propelled in the direction of God’s perfect will and destiny for my life! I grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The blessing of the Lord is at work in me in an increasing measure, and everywhere I go; I AM BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. I am born with a glorious life, and success is rooted in my spirit.

The Word of God has made me wise unto salvation, and the forces of success, prosperity, and divine health are let loose in my life. I can never be disadvantaged, for I am connected to the true Vine.
I am the light of the world; the salt of the earth.

I was called and chosen to give purpose and meaning to the lives of men and women in my world and in the regions beyond. I was born as the answer to the cry of many, and I am responding to that call by impacting my generation with the knowledge of Christ’s salvation.

I recognize God’s divine ability, efficiency, and might that is at work in me today, and by virtue of the divine life of Christ in me, I forbid the enemy from functioning and perpetuating evil in my sphere of contact. Hallelujah. I reign, win and dominate by the power of the Holy Spirit. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

TUESDAY 18TH MAY.

HIS WILL IS IN FORCE

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come (1 Corinthians 11:26).

The word “shew” isn’t exactly the same as “show”; to show is to display. Of course, it also means, in a certain way, to declare, to make known. But more typically, “shew” which is translated from the Greek word “kataggellō” is to announce, to proclaim. When we take the Holy Communion, we’re announcing or proclaiming the Lord’s death. We’re being emphatic that the testator died; and as a result, His testament (His will) is in force.

That testament left you an estate; everything He owned, He gave to you; it’s declared in His will. A will is the last disposition of a man that died. All you need to enjoy what’s in the will is proof of death. Once he’s dead, the testament becomes effective. When we take the Communion, we’re reaffirming the Lord’s death, declaring that His testament is now in force. There’s no argument; Satan can’t stand against that. Hallelujah!

Every time you have the opportunity to participate in the Holy Communion, it’s an announcement of glory, of your triumphant life in Christ Jesus. You’re declaring that all blessings of the New Testament are your present-hour reality. You’re in dominion and walking in glory; nothing has power over you.
No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in your body. His blood was shed for you that you may live. And now, you live, because He lives.

This is the eternal significance of the Communion; it’s an announcement that His testament is in force.

CONFESSION

Holy Father, I thank you for the blood of Jesus that was shed for me, that I may have, and live the Godlife. I celebrate my oneness with you. No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in my body. All the blessings of the New Testament are manifest in my life, being sealed in, and guaranteed by, the blood of Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah!

I affirm that God has granted me favour, peace, and ensuring fruitfulness, prosperity, and productivity in every area of my life! Everything in my world conforms with God’s will and destiny for me. The Father has counted me faithful to commit unto me the ministry of reconciliation.

I am chosen and anointed by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel with power and impact my world with His divine presence. I have the supernatural wisdom and ability to always do things right the first time.

The grace for perfection is at work in me, as I diligently carry out the responsibilities which have been committed to me. I refuse to be quiet about the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation. That power is released to turn men from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God as I proclaim the Gospel today. Hallelujah!

I am full of God’s might; for Christ, the embodiment of all knowledge, wisdom, and power is alive and exalted in me, working and touching lives through me! Hallelujah!

I’m continually filled with the Spirit to be effective in the ministry of the Gospel, communicating God’s divine presence to my world and bringing in a great haul of souls to the Kingdom, I live the higher life in Christ; I walk in absolute victory and dominion over this world!

I live above, reign over, and subdue life’s circumstances and situations, to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal King of glory. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY 17TH MAY.

UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRITUALITY OF LIFE

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:5-6).

The Lord Jesus had a spirituality that was unmistakable. He was very spiritual. For example, in Matthew 16:17, even while responding to Peter’s answer to a question He (Jesus) had asked, He dealt with the spiritual nature of what Peter said. Jesus had asked the disciples, “Whom do men say that I am?” Peter answered correctly, and Jesus replied, “... Blessed art thou, Simon Bar jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

Peter didn’t know that it was God that gave him the revelation; he just spoke as it was in his heart. But Jesus immediately addressed the spirituality of his answer. He let Peter know that his answer didn’t come to him by his flesh or senses; it wasn’t from his study. Also, consider how He taught His disciples to pray in Matthew 6:9, when He gave them a format for prayer. He said, “Our Father which art in heaven….” He talked about the Father in heaven. The spirituality of His communication is so inspiring.

Even at His arrest, He said to the soldiers and the priests who came to arrest Him, “…this is your hour, and the power of darkness” (Luke 22:53). He let them know what power was behind their actions—the power of darkness. He dealt with the spirituality of every subject. This is how He wants us to live.

There’re some who think that being spiritual is excessive, but to live or do things any other way is death. When you’re motivated to do something, always consider whether your motivation is coming from God, from the flesh, or even Satan. You can tell by the Spirit and through the Word. Understanding the spirituality of life is where the victory in life really is. That’s where life’s purpose actually resides.

You’ve got to connect your life with that which is spiritual. Whether or not you realize it, you came from the Spirit. God made you and God is a Spirit. So, your origin is spiritual. Therefore, always be spiritually minded. Walk wisely. The Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). Your consciousness should be spiritual.

Think like Jesus. Talk like Jesus. Practise His way of thinking. But you can’t do that except you meditate on the Scriptures. The Word shows you what spiritual things are and delivers them to you. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m spiritually minded. I have my attention on the unseen realities of the Kingdom through the Word of God. I live by the Word and respond to issues and situations on the basis of God’s Word. Therefore, I live the life of righteousness, with peace of prosperity. Praise God!

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am of the day and not of the night. I am the light of the world; my calling is to illumine the hearts of men. When I arrive anywhere, illumination comes, and confusion and perplexity are dispelled.

I was born for such a time as this; born to establish the will of the Father! I am a man on a mission, entrusted with the divine responsibility of reaching those in my world, and the regions beyond with the Gospel of light.

Necessity is laid upon me; my zeal, passion, and commitment to the expansion of God’s Kingdom are rekindled today. The light of the glorious Gospel of Christ shines brightly in the hearts of men today, taking away darkness, pain, and misery, and bringing them righteousness, light, and glory, in Jesus’ Name.

Hallelujah! I’ve been raised to sit together with Christ in the place of authority; therefore, I function in the place of Jesus here on Earth.

I bring deliverance to every creature in my world, taking them out of bondage and corruption, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. I give life to the things around me through the power of my words, for these are the days of the manifestation of the sons of God.

As I speak forth now, angels are dispatched into actions to ensure my words do not fall to the ground without results. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SUNDAY 16TH MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: HE INVITED US TO PRAY

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1).

God asked us to pray, because He plans to answer. Prayer is His idea; He invited us to pray. This should inspire you to pray, because the beautiful part about praying is the answers you get.

Some people have become so used to praying without answers that they now lack the confidence to pray. The reason is that they don’t understand this truth. Moreover, they’re praying amiss; they’re not praying the right way. I always get results when I pray, and you should too. The question then is, “How do you pray?”

In the New Testament, we pray in the Name of Jesus. We can ask the Father for anything in the Name of Jesus, and He’ll give it to us. This was what Jesus meant when he stated in John 16:23-24: “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

When we pray, we stand in the place of Jesus, we’re taking His place; so, we can’t be praying to Him in His Name, or while standing in His stead. In addition, we may demand that something be done or occur, in the Name of Jesus; this isn’t prayer; rather, it’s exercising the authority of His Name, as in John 14:12-14. That’s what Peter did in Acts 3:6: “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

So, prayer in the New Testament is geared to effecting changes. You can effect definite changes in the realm of the spirit through prayer, to your advantage. That’s why Jesus said, “..men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” That means pray always, and don’t give up, because when you pray, you make power available for the works of righteousness. Through prayer, we cause the will of God to be done in the earth as it is in heaven. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the blessing and privilege of prayer; you asked us to pray, because you plan to answer. Even now, I pray for increased knowledge of your Word amongst your children today, and that your wisdom will guide our hearts and rule our minds to produce works of righteousness for the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Deji Adeyanju, an Abuja-based right activist has mocked Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State over his remark of running for the presidency.

Adeyanju, who is the co-convener of Concerned Nigerian Advocacy Group said Bello lacks the capacity to be president of a “pig farm,” let alone, ruling Nigeria.

Bello had hinted on running for the 2023 presidency when he pledged not to disappoint Nigerians.
The governor had said some Nigerians were asking him to run for President in 2023.

He had said: “Nigerians, the youth and women including very objective elites, are asking me to run for President in 2023.”

Reacting, Adeyanju said Bello cannot be Nigeria’s president because the governor has neglected the Kogi State civil servants.

The rights activist insisted that Kogi State remains the worst governed state in Nigeria.

In a tweet, Adeyanju wrote: “NEWS: All Nigerians are asking me to run for President in 2023, I will not disappoint – Yahaya Bello

“ME -Yahaya Bello is not fit to be president of a pig farm. Kogi State is the worst governed state in Nigeria. Civil servants are feeding from dustbins.”

I warned Nigerians against Buhari in 2015 – Adebanjo

on
 May 15, 2021
[Image: Ayo_Adebanjo3.jpg]

Leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has said he warned Nigerians not to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, saying Nigerians were deceived that the President would fight corruption and wipe out Boko Haram in six months.

Adebanjo recalled that he, at the time, accused Buhari of being a feudalist, dictator and a tribalist with no regard for the rule of law.

However, he said Nigerians went ahead to vote for the incumbent because they were bombarded with propaganda, adding that, “Nigerians now know better that Buhari has failed in his promises.”

He said, “Six years ago, I warned the nation of the danger of voting for Buhari. I accused him of being a feudalist by birth, a dictator by training and a religious fanatic, a tribalist who has no respect for the rule of law. But, we were bombarded with the propaganda that he will ruthlessly fight corruption which they said was the bane of Jonathan administration”.
According to the Yoruba leader, the Nigerian economy under Buhari is now in tatters, as corruption grows in arithmetic proportion.

While speaking on Friday at the group’s meeting held at his Ogbo residence in Odogbolu, Ogun State, Adebanjo maintained that “the nation’s security has collapsed”, with the government becoming so helpless that it now negotiates with bandits.

He added that the clamour for Buhari’s resignation or impeachment is growing louder by the day.

The Afenifere chieftain said there may be no election in Nigeria in 2023 if the nation is not restructured and returned back to true federalism.

“There must be a country before elections are held. If Buhari is sincere about keeping the country together, he must restructure the country now,” he said.

Adebanjo stressed that federalism is the only answer to stop the division of Nigeria, telling Buhari that tagging advocates of restructuring as secessionist is mischievous.
He described the 1999 constitution as the cause of instability, alleging that “it was imposed on us by the military dominated by Northern Muslims after the coup of 1966.”

Adebanjo asserted that the Yorubas’ irreducible minimum condition of staying in Nigeria is restructuring, stressing that, “anything short of that is ‘to thy tent, oh Isreal,’ The unity of horse and the rider in which a section of the country is the rider and we the horse is most unacceptable.”

Nigerian evangelist criticizes singer Chidinma Ekile for not changing her mode of dressing after giving her life to Christ and switching to gospel music

Nigerian evangelist, Victor Edet, has criticized newly converted gospel singer, Chidinma EKile, for not changing her fashion style despite now claiming to be born again.

Chidinma recently announced her decision to stop secular music and embracing gospel music as she is now born again.

Edet in his post said since Chidinma announced her decision to become a born again, the way she walks, speaks and dresses automatically needs to change. His post on Facebook reads:

Quote:''When a person is born again, everything about that person changes both internally and externally. The way she walks, speaks and dresses automatically changes.

This girl, Chidinma, claims to be born again, but she still dresses almost as she dressed in the world. The way you dress in the world should not be the same as you should dress in the Lord. There MUST be a change when you really meet the Lord. You cannot be reborn and still wear makeup, earrings, eyelashes, false nails, weavon, accessories, rings, and pants. These things are from Satan and it is from the world.''

Osun PDP Criticizes Oyetola Over Absence At Southern Governors’ Meeting
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-15-2021, 07:34 AM - No Replies

Quote:Osun State Government on Friday kept mum as the opposition Peoples Democratic Party berated Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for absenting self from the Southern Nigeria Governors’ Forum meeting held in Delta State earlier in the week.

Governors from the southern part of the country had at the meeting discussed issues affecting the region and subsequently banned open grazing in the region. They also demanded restructuring of the country and the convocation of a national dialogue, among other issues.

But Osun State governor, who was said to be in Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj, did not attend the meeting and reportedly did not send his deputy, Benedict Alabi, who had been in charge since Oyetola embarked on the trip to the Holy Land.

But the PDP in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Oladele Oluwabamiji, urged Oyetola not to aggravate insecurity ravaging the state in a bid to please some power brokers in the country.

The party queried the conspicuous absence of the governor at such a high-powered meeting, where sensitive decisions bordering on safety of lives of citizens in the southern part of the country were taken.

The party said, “We advise Governor Gboyega Oyetola to desist from putting Osun State into security jeopardy on the altar of politics of courting sympathy of power brokers in the country.

“We query the conspicuous absence of governor Oyetola at such a high powered meeting of governors in the Southern part of the country where sensitive decisions bordering on safely of lives of citizens in the southern part of the country were taken.

We declare such deliberate absence of the governor or any official of the state government at such meeting as absolutely disservice to the people of the state.

Start goodThe message in Mr Oyetola’s refusal to represent the state in banning open grazing in the southern part of the country was that of open embrace of bandits and kidnappers into the state as safe haven for their nefarious activities.

“This state as far as we are concerned, cannot afford to accommodate the main nucleus of insecurity in the region which is predicated on open grazing. Mr Oyetola must stop playing politics with the lives of sons and daughters of Osun State.”

Response to a text message sent to the state Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, requesting for information on why Oyetola did not attend the meeting nor send representative, was still being expected as of the time of filing this report.

However, a top Osun government official, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said Oyetola was part of the meeting, even though he did not attend in person, as his name was on the communiqué issued by the governors.

$65m Fraud: Gimba Yau Kumo Is No Longer An In-law To Buhari – Presidency
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-15-2021, 07:28 AM - No Replies

Quote:The Presidency has clarified that Gimba Yau Kumo accused of $65 million fraud in the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and has been declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and related offences Commission (ICPC) is no longer a son-in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari.

A statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Friday night informed that the relationship between Kumo and the president’s daughter ended some years ago.

“While at some point in time the said fugitive from justice had been linked to a family member in marriage, that relationship has ended some years ago,” Garba said.

Reacting to what he called a running story to the effect that the ICPC has declared “an in-law of the president” wanted in connection with the fraud, he said: “This should normally be an affirmation that our anti-corruption agencies/institutions are truly independent and allowed unfettered freedom by the President. Which in fact, is the case.

“That a state institution can issue such is a measure of the administration’s commitment to accountability, equality and justice.

“To set the records straight, the person declared wanted by the ICPC is not an in-law to President Buhari.”

Covid-19 pandemic to be 'far more deadly' this year, WHO chief sends out strong warning

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a strong warning that the second year of Covid-19 is set to be "far more deadly."

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, (WHO) Director-General issued the warning on Friday, May 14.

He stated that “we’re on track for the second year of this pandemic to be far more deadly than the first.”

The DG added that trickle-down vaccination is not an effective strategy for fighting a deadly respiratory virus as COVID-19 has already cost more than 3.3 million lives.

“Vaccine supply remains a key challenge, but this week I’ve been pleased to see leaders & manufacturers working to: share doses with COVAX, make new deals involving tech-transfer and sharing of know-how and call for lifting trade barriers as soon as possible.” Tedros said.

According to the Director-General, in a handful of rich countries, lower-risk groups are now being vaccinated.

“I understand why some countries want to vaccinate their children and adolescents, but right now I urge them to reconsider and to instead donate vaccines to COVAX.

Because in low and lower-middle-income countries, vaccine supply has not been enough to even immunize health and care workers, and hospitals are being inundated with people that need lifesaving care urgently.” He added.

Tedros said that at present, only 0.3% of vaccine supply is going to low-income countries.

The pandemic has killed at least 3,346,813 people worldwide since the virus first emerged in late 2019.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SATURDAY 15TH MAY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: RECEIVING PROPHECIES

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare (1 Timothy 1:18).

In our theme verse, the Spirit of God admonishes Timothy to war a good warfare with the prophecies spoken concerning him. Since this is God’s Word, it then means it’s not peculiar to Timothy; it applies to you just as much. What have you done with all the prophecies that have been spoken over you, including the ones written concerning you in the Scriptures?

The Scriptures are replete with words of blessings and prophecies concerning the new creation; take them seriously. Use them in your fight of faith. Some have said, “You know, I’ve never really had anyone prophesy to me”; then prophesy to yourself! God said every one of us in the Church should covet the gift of prophecy, because it’s such an important gift in the Church (1 Corinthians 14:39).

The Bible says prophecy edifies the Church, and you’re a member of the Church. So, if anything edifies the Church, it should edify you. So, when there’s a word of prophecy in the church, receive it and personalize it.

Sometimes, the word can come to you in a song while the choir is ministering, or while the preacher is preaching or teaching. It can come to you in your own spirit, because God is talking all the time to each one of us. Don’t forget where He is—He lives in you. If you pray and listen to Him in your spirit, the prophetic word will come to your spirit.

Besides the prophecies you receive in the church, the written word—the Bible— is full of prophecies. Get into your privacy, open a portion of the Bible that’ll exhort you, and begin to read the scriptures out to yourself. The Psalms have a lot of exhortation and prophecies.

As you read them aloud, put your spirit with it; trust and believe the Word. Your spirit will immediately be in sync with the Spirit of God that authored the Word that you’re reading, and pick up words from the author of the writings and you’ll continue to prophesy. Prophecy is one of the ways to bring the supernatural power of God into manifestation.

CONFESSION

As I speak in tongues now, the grace to prophesy comes on me strong; I declare that the wisdom of God and His glory are evident in my life and in all that I do. His righteousness is established in the hearts of men around the world; and through the truth of the Gospel, salvation, healing and health, prosperity and success, deliverance, wholeness, preservation, peace and joy spread in the nations of the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

1 Corinthians 14:3-5
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men [to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4 He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

1 Corinthians 14:39 NIV
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Psalm 81:10
I [am] the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

And now, I know the hope of Your calling and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance for me in Christ.

Thank You precious Father, for blessing me in all things, and making me a blessing to my world. I declare that I am mightily blessed today as I seek opportunities to give, for You’ve said in Your Word, it’s more blessed to give than to receive. Hallelujah.

Restructure your states before calling for restructuring at federal level - Senate President, Ahmad Lawan slams Southern Governors

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has lashed out at Southern Governors over their restructuring demand after their meeting in Asaba, Delta state last week.

Lawan who faulted the demand, accused the governors of retreating to regionalism to address a national issue that should be collectively decided upon.

He also asked the various state Governors to restructure their states before asking for restructuring at the federal level.

The Senate President said;

Quote:“I believe that, as leaders, especially those of us who are elected, should not be at the forefront of calling for this kind of thing because, even if you are a governor, you are supposed to be working hard in your state to ensure that this restructuring you are calling for at the federal level, you have done it in your state as well.

“What you may accuse the Federal Government of, whatever it is, you may also be accused of the same thing in your state. So, we are supposed to ensure that we have a complete and total way of ensuring that our systems at the federal, state and even local government levels work for the people.

“We should avoid regionalism. We are all leaders and we are in this together. The solutions to our challenges must come from us regardless of what level of government we are, whether at the federal, state or the local government level. I believe that Nigeria is going to come out of these challenges stronger.

“I also want to take this opportunity to say that we have diminished the local government system. I think we can attribute the security issues to the absence of a functional local government system.
“I think the time has come for us to take up the challenge and ensure that the local government system functions. This is as we look for ways to curb the security challenge. We must never neglect the local government system. We must go back to our local government system to ensure they are autonomous and functional”

Sex-For-Food Destroying Girls, Women In North-East IDPs Camps
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-14-2021, 07:10 PM - No Replies

Quote:Human rights groups working to address humanitarian crisis in the terrorism-infested region of Nigeria’s Northeast, have decried the continued “transactional sex” which they said was destroying both women and girls in various Internally Displaced Persons Camps (IDPs).

A report obtained by our correspondent from Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP) in Abuja, revealed that both government officials, security agents and other camp managers have continued to subject both women and girls to sexual exploitation and abuses of varying degrees.

The report said that while these vulnerable women and girls narrowly escaped terrorists and killers of their loved ones, they have fallen into the hands of sexual predators, who now trade food for sex, with items meant to be distributed free of charge in the camps.

According to the report, food items donated to the IDPs by government, international donor agencies, and humanitarian organisations were being hoarded and sometimes diverted by the camp managers.

It also stated that more worrisome was the fact that security agents detailed to protect the vulnerable people have also been severally fingered in this sordid situation, yet relevant government agencies have failed to show accountability, by thoroughly investigating and punishing the perpetrators of the sexual abuses.

It further revealed that even pregnant women have not been spared, as many of them are said to have been continuously raped in the presence of their helpless children. It was also learnt that both international and regional human rights bodies have, at different occasions, called on the Nigerian government to investigate, prosecute and punish perpetrators, but nothing has been done.

“International and regional human rights bodies have urged Nigeria to investigate, prosecute, and punish perpetrators of alleged sexual exploitation, including transactional sex in IDPs. Food distribution was under the authority of males, creating the conditions for sexual abuse due to scarcity of food.

“The government’s failure to respond to these violations has raised concerns that it has not prioritized its obligation to protect women and girls from SGBV or to hold those responsible accountable for their crimes,” the reports said.

Priscilla Ojong Is Missing For 3 Weeks (Pictures)

Update From NAIJA COVER . COM

A 22-year old Mass Communication student of the Cross River University of Technology, Priscilla Ojong, has been declared missing, NaijaCover Reports.

According to journalist and publisher of CaliTown who notify NaijaCover, Iwara Iwara, the 300-level student had supposedly travelled from Calabar to Lagos State three weeks ago on the invitation of a male friend.

Ms Ojong has not been seen or heard from since she left Calabar and her phone is unreachable, NaijaCover Reports.

Two of Priscillia’s friends who spoke to calitown confirmed that she travelled to Lagos on the invitation of an unknown male friend who credited her account with the transport fare.

One of the friends said she received a call from Priscilla informing her that she had arrived Lagos safely and will be staying over for just the weekend.

When she however didn’t return, they became worried and repeatedly called her phone number but it was switched off.

Several days after, unable to reach her through calls and even text messages, the friends contacted Priscillia’s parents in Akamkpa LGA of Cross River State.

Their attempt to reach their daughter equally proved abortive so they informed the police in Calabar.

"We were at the (police) station today. My friend and Priscillia’s dad will be heading to the bank to get her statement of account because the day she traveled the guy in question sent her transport fare”, one of the two friends told Calitown.

The visit to the bank was to obtain Priscilla's bank statement in order to establish the identity of the person who invited her to Lagos.

Meanwhile, police sources confirmed that investigation into the incident has commenced.

Activist Adeyanju mocks Soludo, says he lacks character to be Governor of Anambra State

Quote:Charles Soludo that raised N2bn to build a hospital for his later mother in 2008 but never did, now wants to be Anambra Governor. Same guy told us Buhari is the best thing after Jesus Christ in 2015.

He never criticized Buhari for once for all the crimes against humanity committed against his fellow Igbo brothers but has suddenly joined APGA-the Biafran party. From PDP to APC, now APGA.

Always jumping up & down like a monkey. As CBN Gov, this guy didn’t employ one person from his state but he’s suddenly Pro-Igbo. I don’t blame Soludo, it’s those that rate him I blame. He lacks character.

Governor Bala Mohammed: FG Clueless On Economic Revival
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-14-2021, 06:40 PM - No Replies

Quote:By David Adenuga
Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed has said the Federal Government has lost ideas on how to address the various economic challenge bedeviling the nation.

Mohammed, who spoke on Thursday at the Government House shortly after performing the Eid prayers to mark the Sallah celebration, said the FG should stop the blame game and look for a way forward.

According to him: “I think the FG has lost any idea to grow the economy. What they are best known for is the blame game. They are not even fighting the corruption they claimed to be fighting ”

Mohammed, who blamed the nation’s backwardness on nepotism by the Buhari led-administration, added there is no fairness and equitable allocation of appointments across the six geopolitical zones.

He said: ”There are sacred cows and small gods who cannot be touched in Buhari’s government but if you are not fair and equitable in your government, If there is nepotism where only one section is giving positions in your government, then there will be problems.

” There is an iota of truth in what the Southern Governors said on some sections being highly favoured at the detriment of others.

” What we know in this country as a Federalist is that there should always be a balance. If you don’t practice fairness at the top , then you cannot get it at the lower level. Unless we show fairness and equity we cannot grow the economy .”

Ladoja: Agitation For Yoruba Nation May Degenerate Into War, If..
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 05-14-2021, 06:38 PM - No Replies

Quote:….As Onitiri tasks Southern govs to act on resolutions

Southern, Northern govs should meet on grey areas — Mimiko

By Dayo Johnson, Onozure Dania & Adeola Badru

A former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, yesterday, told agitators of Yoruba self-determination to exercise caution, as the agitation might degenerate into war if not well managed.

Addressing newsmen at his Bodija, Ibadan residence, after observing the Eid prayers to commemorate the end of the Ramadan fast, the former governor called for more religious tolerance and fairness, justice, especially in making political appointments.

Ladoja said: “Some parts of the country feel cheated in the appointment into some offices in the country. The country will collapse when we have incompetent people in power.

“We are a federation and not a mono-language or mono-ethnic country. We deserve the policies that make us strong, even with our diversities, but that seems to be our weakness. That is why people are looking for other options in terms of restructuring and dissolution.

“And when that is the practice, it means the best of men are not in position and when you have people that are not competent running a system, the system will at the end of the day collapse. Let’s only hope that Nigeria will survive.”

Appealing to those beating the drums of war, the former governor said: “People only know the beginning of wars, but many don’t know how it ends. Some of the agitators for the Yoruba Nation don’t even know what it means.

“Nobody knows how the war in Syria started and it took years they have to take it easy. There will be a time when God will give us good leaders, and there will also be the time God will give us leaders that are not as good. If we want to go because of our challenges, we may need to sit down and talk things out on the way to go.

“When people are agitating, who says those in the North are not planning to go too? But let’s assume that people in the South are talking too much, while people in the North are acting too much.”

Southern, Northern govs should meet on grey areas — Mimiko

Meanwhile, former Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, yesterday, urged the Southern governors to meet with their counterparts in the North to harmonise grey areas on the resolutions reached at their meeting in Asaba, Delta state.

Mimiko, in a statement, said that the resolution of the southern governors forum was commendable and the next step is for them to meet with their Northern counterparts “to iron out what may just be minor areas of difference in substance and timelines.”

The statement reads: “The resolution of the Southern Governors’ Forum, at the end of its meeting in Asaba, Delta State, on May 11 2021, is commendable.

“It is also salutary that members of the Southern caucus of the National Assembly have weighed in.

“It is all a reflection of the realization of the fact that the nation may be perching at the precipice, and of the urgent need to pull her back.

“The next step is for the Southern Governors to meet with their Northern counterparts to iron out what may just be minor areas of difference in substance and timelines.

“There cannot be any reasonable arguments against decentralization of policing to ensure emergence of compact and efficient sub-national forces under State (sub-national government control).

“There surely cannot be any disagreement amongst the Governors on the issue of devolution of resources from the centre.”

Act fast on your resolutions, Onitiri urges Southern govs

Similarly, an activist and critic, Adesunbo Onitiri, yesterday, urged the 17 Southern governors to take action on their 10-point resolution adopted in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday, to save their people from the present insecurity ravaging the entire area.

Applauding the governors, Onitiri, in a statement in Lagos, said they have waited for long, while their states were being deliberately ravaged by armed Fulani herdsmen and other hardened criminals, who have been making life difficult for everybody in the entire area.

He said: “The southern governors should realise that they are not an appendage or inferior to their Northern colleagues. We are in a very perilous state; we are looking for heroes to salvage our country from imminent collapse and calamity.

“The governors should immediately make laws to ban open grazing in their various states, address the people of your states on the deplorable state of insecurity in the country and appeal to their patriotic sense to cooperate with you to stem down the insecurity.

“The most insulting aspect of the matter is that farmers were being attacked, maimed, killed or kidnapped for ransom. As if that was not enough, the farmers were being sent out of their farms, their farm produce destroyed, and their wives and daughters raped as if Nigerians were in a banana republic.”

The joy of indigenes of Iseyin in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State who was celebrating the end of Ramadan was short-lived on Thursday as stray bullets allegedly killed four and injured one.

According to an impeccable source in Iseyin, the persons were hit by bullets when men of the Nigeria Customs Service exchanged gunfire with some bandits believed to be smugglers.

The eyewitness told Vanguard said the Customs men started shooting indiscriminately after intercepting smuggled goods coming through the borders into the town.

The persons who were hit by stray bullets were residents who were out to enjoy sallah celebration.

Following the death of the people, youths took to the streets protesting the killing of their kinsmen.

Vanguard made frantic efforts to get the reaction of the Public Relations Officer for Oyo/Osun Command, Mr Kayode Wey to the story but to no avail.

Several calls made to his lines were not picked after the phone rang repeatedly.

Amaechi Tackles Hadiza Bala-Usman For Insubordination

Quote:Amaechi soft-pedals on ‘unremitted’ N165bn claim, tackles Hadiza for ‘insubordination’

The war between Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, and Hadiza Bala Usman, the suspended managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), has taken a turn, with the minister apparently dropping his claim that the agency did not remit an operating surplus of N165 billion to the consolidated revenue fund account (CFR).

A member of the administrative panel set up by Amaechi to probe Usman has told TheCable that the focus will now be “insubordination”.

“We are looking at two things. One, the suspended MD was in the habit of communicating directly with the president and bypassing the honourable minister. This is gross indiscipline and a breach of public service communication line. That is enough to get her sacked,” the member, who cannot be named, said.

“Two, the minister directed her to restore all Intels’ contracts that were suspended or terminated. What she didn’t know was that the president was in the know of it. She failed to comply. This is insubordination and she is not above discipline.”

However, TheCable learnt that Buhari withdrew his approval for the reinstatement of Intels’ contract after Usman wrote to the chief of staff, Ibrahim Gambari, to explain NPA’s position.

Gambari forwarded her response to Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general, for legal opinion.

Malami, TheCable understands, said the NPA was right and that no contracts were terminated or violated.

Buhari then withdrew his approval for the reinstatement of Intels’ contract and that is believed to have infuriated Amaechi, who accused Usman of insubordination.

He, nonetheless, was still able to get the president to approve Usman’s suspension and probe.

The insider further said: “If you look at the terms of reference properly, we are to examine and investigate compliance with the communication channel as obtained in the public service. Insubordination is not a small offence.”

The panel member accused Usman of bypassing the minister and dealing directly with the president despite a “clear reporting hierarchy”.

Asked about the N165 billion non-remittance claim, the member said: “Available evidence shows that the allegation may not be true… it is a mater of reconciliation of what the Budget Office thought should be the remittances with what the actual remittances should be.

“Since audits have been done over the years, there is obviously nothing more to that. It is not as if NPA’s monies are in private banks. Everything is with the CBN, so if there were no remittances, it is just about looking at NPA’s accounts with the CBN.”

Although the minister asked the eleven-member panel to “examine and investigate the procurement of contracts from 2016 to date” as part of the terms of reference, the source said it was going to be a “tricky job”.

“At NPA, any contract beyond N50 million for goods and services and N200 million for works are referred to the ministerial tenders board (MTB), which is headed by the permanent secretary of the ministry,” the insider said.

“If we go into probing contracts since 2016, we may end up probing the minister himself. About 70 percent of the contracts for capital projects go to the MTB, after which the minister presents them to the federal executive council (FEC), presided over by the president himself, for approval. We will check if all the procedures were followed, but I am personally not optimistic about that. The suspended MD, from indications, is a process person.”

A VERY PERSONAL WAR

Amaechi, who is one of the very few ministers with direct access to Buhari since 2015, has denied allegations that he is fighting a personal war with Usman, whom he nominated for the position in 2016 after working with her in the APC presidential campaign council.

Several reports have traced the “cold war” to the renewal of $1.5 billion channel management contracts in which the minister is said to have gone against a competitive bidding process in favour of companies nominated by him.

Amaechi has denied the allegation, insisting that he did not at any time seek to bypass the process.

However, he has recently been making a strong case for Intels, the ports logistics company which has several contracts with NPA.

Former vice-president, Atiku Abubukar, was a major shareholder in the company.

He has sold down his shares, complaining of a political witch-hunt.

Amaechi got the president to approve that all Intels’ contracts that were “terminated” by NPA be restored.

Gambari then wrote to Usman to ask for details on the contracts as highlighted by the minister.

‘INTELS CONTRACTS NOT TERMINATED OR SUSPENDED’

Usman, in her response to Gambari, denied that any contract was terminated or suspended.

Quote:Suspended Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, on Thursday made her first public appearance during the probe of the agency under her.

On Monday, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, set up a panel to probe all contracts that NPA awarded under her watch.

Bala Usman was suspended on Friday over alleged non-remittance of N165 billion to the consolidated revenue fund account (CFR).

She has since denied the allegation.

In a tweet on Thursday, the suspended NPA MD made veiled reference to her current travails, saying the truth will triumph.

She also pledged loyalty to Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, whom she described as her “forever boss”.

He reportedly took Augustine to Haspolat- Taskent forest area and dumped him at the entrance of the forest area after seeing that he was no longer breathing, instead of going to the hospital.

The other convicts who were found guilty of causing the death of someone else as a result of imprudence and carelessness, maintained that they couldn't stop Eze due to the severity of his anger.
