…more details to follow soon but she was released earlier today.

…Lagos rally isn’t cancelled. Disregard the fake news on BBC until you get confirmation from Ilana Omo Oodua.

Quote:BREAKING: Sunday Igboho: Abducted household, aides regain freedom in Ekiti
Five dead bodies deposited in Ekiti mortuary

Some of the aides of Yoruba activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) have regained their freedom from the gunmen who abducted them at his residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in the early hours of Thursday.

Sources say some of the abducted victims were released by the gunmen in Ekiti State. Those who were released, the sources say, include a woman thought to be Igboho’s wife, his aides, children of his boys. They were reportedly given N20,000 to board vehicles to Ibadan.

The gunmen, however, reportedly went away Lady K and six other boys. Men of the Nigerian Army and Department of State Security (DSS) are alleged to have carried out the operation.

According to one of the released victims, following the raid on Sunday Igboho’s residence in Ibadan early Thursday, the attackers headed towards Iwo Road axis of Ibadan, where the DSS alighted Nigerian soldiers and headed towards Ekiti State where they reportedly disembarked her, other women and the children and continued their journey with the Sunday Igboho’s boys.

‘The DSS felt reluctant to release a lady blogger and other six boys while in Ekiti State. The corpses of five people who were allegedly killed by men of the DSS and soldiers have been deposited at a particular mortuary in Ekiti State,’ the released victim said.

‘After we had alighted, they gave us N20,000 for fare to Ibadan. They did not beat us and they did not maltreat us throughout the journey in the DSS operational vehicles.’

Nigerian Soldiers, Secret Police 'Arrested' Cat They Believed Sunday Igboho Turned To During Invasion Of His House—Eyewitnesses

Quote:Some of those working with Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, have narrated how gunmen in military uniform allegedly attacked the residence of the Yoruba rights activist.

SaharaReporters had reported how Ighoho’s house in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo state was attacked around 1am on Thursday.

At least 10 vehicles belonging to the self-styled activist, including his G-wagon, Prado SUVs, and valuable properties, furniture, and windows were destroyed.

Bullet holes were also found on the buildings in the compound while bloodstains were seen on the premises by our correspondent.

Speaking to SaharaReporters, an aide to the Ighoho who said he witnessed the incident said the attackers took away jewellery and a huge amount of cash belonging to the Yoruba activist and his family.

“Around 1am, we started hearing gunshots, there was pandemonium everywhere. Then we saw soldiers, they were dressed as if they were going for a battle. Before we knew what was happening, they started targeting places where people sleep in the house.

It was God that saved me and others, they came prepared. Only God knows how they identified Igboho’s room, they went there, took his money and jewellery. Same as that of his wife and other family members.

“They even took away his cat when they didn’t see him. They claimed it might be Ighoho that turned to the cat, so they took it away.

“They shot at the cars and riddled the glasses and doors with bullets.”

SaharaReporters gathered that the operatives also killed some of the small cats found in the house while the big one was taken away.

Intersociety: Nnamdi Kanu Was Arrested In Kenya. His Tribesmen ‘Sold Him Out’
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion

Quote:A group, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, has said that “Nnamdi Kanu appeared to have been trapped by some persons of his own tribal stock over some lingering issues.”

The group said that Kanu’s arrest at an airport in Kenya was initially taken to be ‘a minor immigration issue’, which later turned out to be a clear act of ‘strawmen’ and subsequently attracted the involvement of the Nigerian diplomatic officials.

Giving an insight into how Kanu was arrested, Intersociety, in a statement signed by its Principal Officers, Emeka Umeagbalasi, Obianuju Igboeli, and Chidimma Udegbunam, said the; “scuffle attracted Nigerian diplomatic officials and security attachés at Nairobi, the country’s capital.

“He was later on Sunday, 27th June 2021 handed over to Nigerian security attaches and diplomatic officials after providing paper evidence that he is being wanted in Nigeria for the continuation of his trial where he jumped bail and escaped from judicial justice,” the group claimed.

The human rights group said it was commendable that Nnamdi Kanu was not brought back to Nigeria “in body bags.”

The statement added: “The leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested on the Sat night of June 26, 2021, in Kenya, a member of the African Union.

“He had travelled to Israel, having transited from Germany to Israel before heading to Kenya, where he was intercepted on Saturday night, 26th June 2021.

“He appeared to have been trapped by some persons of his own tribal stock over some lingering issues.

“His arrest was initially taken to be a minor immigration issue, which later turned out to be a clear act of ‘strawmen’ and subsequently attracted the involvement of the Nigerian diplomatic officials and security attachés at Nairobi, the country’s capital.

“He was later on Sunday, 27th June 2021 handed over to Nigerian security attaches and diplomatic officials after providing paper evidence that he is being wanted in Nigeria for the continuation of his trial where he jumped bail and escaped from judicial justice.”

‘No victimisation’

The group, however, cautioned against victimisation of Kanu, saying: “Intersociety is not worried over the recent arrest and bringing back of the IPOB Leader, but we are deeply concerned over his safety, healthcare and upkeep in the custody of the country’s Spy Police where he may likely remain throughout his trial period.”

Meanwhile, IPOB has warned that no harm should happen to its leader.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group promised to expose the details of what it described as the abduction of Nnamdi Kanu.

Video Proof Resurfaces of muslims initiating attacks on The Egungun Masquerade which led to the death of the imam of Kamorudeen mosque.

The Imam in Osogbo clamined they were sitting peacefully in their mosque and the Egungun worshippers attacked them for no reason.

This video shows that the Egungun worshippers were in prossession on a Public Road like they always do every year, the Muslims saw them and felt its wrong for anyone in this world today to be parading Egungun up and down because according to what Allah taught them, they must attack every nonbelievers and idol worshippers.

They then attacked the Holy Egungun first, severly beating it up and even tried to unveil and reveal the face of the devotee under the Egungun regalia.

This raises questions and exposes the Imam of Osogbo's claims as lies.

Look at this video and be the judge!

Nigeria will lose nothing if an Igbo man becomes President – Ekweremadu

Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has said that the country will lose nothing if an Igbo man becomes President of the country.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Trust, the lawmaker who countered claim of power being all about negotiation through compromise, described it as a psychological thing. He also pointed that the villages of those who have ruled the country are not better than that of others.

Ekweremadu said;

Quote:People have said it publicly and privately, arguments have been raised in this aspect, negotiations have taken place, compromises are being done. I have not lost faith in that happening because 2023 is still around the corner, but it’s left for people like you in the media, if you see wisdom in what we’re saying, to also proclaim it, you push for it. When people are unjustly treated, it’s unlikely for them to be interested in peace.
For a man who stays in a house, it’ll be irresponsible for him to put fire in that same house if you’re doing everything to make sure that your family is living together. What will this country lose if an Igbo man becomes president? Nothing! The best they can get is to help stabilise the country. Whatever happens will help to stabilise the country.

For the purpose of argument and statistics, those who have ruled this country as presidents, do you think their villages are better than others? It’s a psychological thing. Those who have ruled this country from the south to the north to the west, check their villages, local governments or states; are they better than the other ones? They are not! It makes no sense for somebody like me. It’s just a psychological issue. So, we’ll lose nothing by doing that.

Kenyan pastor, Reverend Lucy Natasha debunks allegations of arranging threesome for a Nigerian Evangelist

Flamboyant Kenyan preacher, Reverend Lucy Natasha, has debunked allegations that she allegedly arranged a threesome session for a Nigerian Evangelist with her aide and a female member of her church in 2015.

This comes after the now former church member who goes by the Facebook, Martha Mwihaki Hinga, on Tuesday, June 29, claimed that Rev. Natasha invited her for dinner together with the Nigerian Evangelist.

According to Mwihaki, Rev. Natasha and her mother and the brother left leaving her with her aide and the Nigerian guest preacher.

"Within 20 minutes I realized that Lucy had left together with her brother and mom, and I in the company of the pastor and the aide were left, little did I know that the girl was part of the script for a Threesome. Hahaha, yes I said a threesome," the woman claimed.

She further claimed that the Nigerian preacher asked them to pray together but instead both allegedly sandwiched her.

The allegations soon went viral on social media prompting the clergywoman to issue a statement on Wednesday, June 30.

The statement posted on her social media pages by her communition team said the allegations are malicious plans aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Empowerment Christian Church leader.

Quote:"As a ministry that is very active in preaching through various social media platforms, we seek to unequivocally dissociate ourselves with a malicious story tarnishing the reputation of our leader Rev Natasha and the ministry we are doing," the statement read.

Below are details of the expose:

PART ONE
I met Reverend Lucy Natasha after a friend of mine introduced me to her church in early 2014, just about when she officially began to house most of her services, mid-week and Sunday Services at Six-Eighty Hotel.

I used to see her on social media but that was it, nothing much, apart from her usual contextualization of prosperity gospel to excite her fanatic congregation, because those are usually not Christians in pursuit of the true gospel.

Just like Now, she still had a palatial state of the art office setting marked with weird arts, Portraits of popular Nigerian Televangelists, I remember that of the Late TB Joshua, a 6-inch red carpet and very fine men frequenting her office, I later learnt that they were her protocol and handlers. I was a little bit shocked because I am not a big fan of Nigerian pastors, I actually don’t trust them. My friend who took me there was constantly gazing at me because I appeared skeptical over everything, especially the portrait of a known controversial pastor TB.

She loves calling people daughter, so she stretched her hand and reached out to me, “Good afternoon my beautiful daughter, Of course my age not withstanding I agreed and responded. I am way older than her, I dubiously smiled and responded “Good afternoon my spiritual mom, although physically I may be your mom. “She has a very good voice, so she smiled and the exchange of pleasantries was done.

I partly introduced myself and expressed part of the reason why I was there, I however, insisted that it is my friend who persuaded me to see her because she felt that I would fit into her ministry as a deacon taking into account my passion for God’s work and at the time I needed a place to worship and initiate my ministry work. She looked elated and clumsily said that I was at the best place.

Now, there’s this brother of him, who has some slippery hair, that guy was then the P.A. She called him and in he came with a 3-page form for registration. I was then requested to follow Rev in a small private extension for sort of some grilling or up-close, a very small extension that could only fit two persons. She asked me to get off my shoes and enter. I think that was now the beginning of my indoctrination to a “cult”.

I started filling details on the sheet she handed to me. I was putting on my details as I popped my eyes on and off to her just to monitor things. My friends mimi hata mwanaume hajaniangalia na macho nikablush. The gaze was very very veeery suggestive, Well I ignored because I assumed that was her nature, well she’s pretty and that’s not a far-fetched habit by beautiful girls. I filled the form while still throwing my eyes randomly on her, to signal either I needed to consult on something but that was in guise of trying to angalia vile kunaenda.

Suddenly, I felt something chilling down my body. Have you felt cold, then a petrifying thing runs down your spine? That is what I felt and the next thing was Rev asking me to get close to her for prayer. I actually hadn’t completed the form, but I was on my feet moving towards Lucy after that wave on my body. I then immediately closed my eyes and opened them, Alas the person next to me was not her, this was her mother (You know how close they are with the mother), Reverend was not there. I have NEVER ever seen that.

I remember trying to scream but the voice wouldn’t be audible, you have tried to scream in your dreams and the only thing that comes out is a distant feeling of shouting but the actual shout not being projected, that was it. The person now next to me (the mother) started speaking in weird voices asking me to “Tulia Tulia,Kuna Roho anasema wewe ni mtumishi”As she was saying that, weirdly I was being caressed and fondled by someone I couldn’t see. The feeling was so strong that I actually started getting too close to the mom praying for me. For now handle that I will be back.

PART TWO
That was weird because in my entire years of allegiance to Christ I have never felt that. I have never seen that. Let’s just say the feeling was way too ungodly as a happenstance between a prayer session. When I partially began to realize I was in between something not so nice, I began to battle out the grip with aggression. I tried pulling myself away from her until she could no longer control me.

I finally was off the hook but totally scared. Rev was then back and we were now the three of us, myself Lucy and her mother. There were only two seats, so Rev was on her feet with an iPad. Things were now a little bit calm and I was at ease though overwhelmed by events. I think they managed to capture my inner person and my spiritual responsiveness as afterwards I no longer treated them with hostility. She then introduced what was typed on the Tablet as a “Report” from the Lord concerning me on her ministry.

I remember her telling me that the Lord had spoken and that I would be appropriated as deacon in the assembly. First I was hesitant but then there appeared to be a spiritual capture, so I sort of nodded as a sign of affirmation. I am woman who puts on long dresses, the first thing I was guided to do was put on relatively shorter dresses, the logic behind that was mysterious but obviously that was a sexual connotation for seduction, which is a pillar for Lucy’s church. FACT.

The lady giving me instructions was a young lady, slightly above her twenties, same thing, seductive looks with extraordinary disagreeable attraction. One thing, never in your walk of faith ignore any red flag, if there are funny theatrics right from the word go, disappear and run for your dear life. I got embraced in the church and that was it. I was a “daughter” in the ministry. Days turned into weeks and months and so on.

My first encounter with the “Liberalism” concept was when Lucy openly tried to fix me in a sexual escapade with a guest Nigerian Evangelist accompanied with one of her aide’s in 2015.

After the usual Oracle services, as a deacon (senior church member) you have the prerogative of having an after service meeting to evaluate a few things as well as take time with a guest in case of any. After that particular service we walked out of Lucy’s Office and went to a private guest lounge, just within Six-eighty. We were 5 of us, Myself, the Nigerian Evangelist, one of her aides, her mom and the brother.

As it were, we had dinner and it was time to leave because I am a mom and wife. There was some form of resistance on any attempt to leave, any aim that suggested that I was leaving was met with some forms of tushughuli that did not make sense.Mara sijui “wait a minute for us to clear the bill”,oh “Hold on Mum is changing” among others. Within say 20 or so minutes I realized that Lucy had left together with her bro and mom, and I in the company of the pastor and the aide were left, little did I know that the girl was part of script for a Threesome. Hahaha,Yes I said a Threesome.

The Nigerian Con (Sexual predator) requested to have me get close to him so that we could have a prayer benediction and then leave as the rest had already left. I obliged because I was in a hurry to leave. Suddenly, From behind, the lady aide softly held my waist, we were a bit close in terms of acquaintanceship so I did not take offence.

However, the moment I was sandwiched between them, I knew this was not a prayer but something else, perhaps a plan to kill me, because the thought of a sexual encounter was far-fetched. How now? I became very aggressive, and threatened to scream if they did not get out of my way.

The moment both of them realized that I was not in the business of entertaining that nonsense, they simultaneously let go their arms and retreated to the seats. I uttered no word and left immediately traumatized. The final part and my redemption journey coming your way.

Illegal and archaic - Igbo-British lawyers knock Kenyan govt over Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest; Give FG '48 hours to return him to UK'

A group of Igbo-British lawyers have blasted the Kenyan government over the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his repatriation to Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested on Sunday, June 27 by the Nigerian Security services.

The British High Commission has since denied aiding his arrest while Nnamdi Kanu's brother and Reno Omokri have come out to say he was arrested in Kenya.

In a new statement by Attorney E.R Okoroafor in Glasgow, Scotland, representing the Coalition of Igbo-British Lawyers, the group condemned Kanu’s arrest calling it “illegal and archaic” while accusing the Kenyan government of playing a major role “in the illegal detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra MAZI NNAMDI KANU and subsequent handing him over to the Nigerian government without any due process.”

According to the group, “ Kanu entered Kenya with his British passport, and the Kenya government is fully aware of his citizenship status but still went ahead to perpetrate their illegal act which does not only breach the personal human rights of MAZI NNAMDI KANU but also undermine the sovereignty of the British government.”

The group also threatened to carry out legal actions against the Kenyan government while telling the FG to return Kanu to UK in 48 hours.

“We shall be heading to the International Criminal Court to rectify the injustice done as it is trite law that injustice to one is injustice to all. We are also by this medium informing the Nigerian government that they have 48 hours to return MAZI NNAMDI KANU to the United Kingdom and if he has any charges to answer to, they should as a nation that is governed by the constitution, pass through the legal means of filing an extradiction notice as failure to do so, we shall not hesitate to term this an a declaration of war on not only on MAZI NNAMDI KANU and IPOB but also on all IGBOS generally, and this we shall vehemently resist with all apparatus of law available at our disposal.”

The lawyers warned that “no bodily harm whatsoever must be done to MAZI NNAMDI KANU to avoid a total breakdown of law and other in the fast crumbling entity called Nigeria.”

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THURSDAY, JULY 1ST 2021.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

THEME: SEALED BY THE HOLY GHOST

…Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads (Revelation 7:3).

After the Rapture of the Church, there’ll be a time of Great Tribulation, according to the Scriptures, particularly during the second half of the seven-year treaty to be signed with Israel and a coalition by the Antichrist, the man of lawlessness.

During this period, 144,000 Jews will be anointed by God to preach the Gospel and get people prepared for the second coming of Christ. While they’re at it, they’d need to be sealed because of the different judgements that would be poured out on the earth throughout that period. Men will be plagued, except those with the seal of God on their foreheads (Revelation 9:4), even as we the Church had been sealed during the Church age.

The Bible says, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13). 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 also says,

“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” Having received the Holy Spirit, you’ve been sealed by God. Because of this, you have God’s approval, His authority, and His protection.

Therefore, it doesn’t matter what’s happening in the world; refuse to fear. There’s a decree that you shouldn’t be hurt like others; you’re separated, severed from perishing because you believe in Jesus Christ. So, don’t mix fear with your faith. The Kingdom to which you belong, and the life that God has given you, function with the exclusion of fear.
Meditate again on John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish…” (NKJV). Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Dear Father, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit, who is the earnest or down payment of the purchased possession, and by whom I’m sealed unto everlasting glory. I take advantage of His ministry, to help, guide, counsel, strengthen and comfort me till Jesus comes; I reign in life as a champion through Him, today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 KJV “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

John 14:16-17 KJV “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I am a peculiar treasure unto God, and He has made me the custodian of eternal verities. I recognize myself as one charged with the divine responsibility of influencing my world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I diligently carry out this glorious ministry today. I am fully equipped with all that I require to finish my course with great joy.

I live in victory, success, health, joy, peace, and righteousness because that is the life God has ordained for me! Through the revelation of God’s Word

I see who I am, and I live according to the picture of me that I see in the Word. I make my way prosperous. My whole being is saturated with the anointing and power of God’s Word, such that thoughts of success, possibilities and glory are inspired within me!

Even now, as I speak accordingly, my life is transformed, adversities are quelled, and negative situations are altered to conform with God’s perfect will for me. Hallelujah!

The wisdom of God is functioning in me; I know what to do in every situation. I am making progress, moving forward, and growing in grace, and in the knowledge of the Lord; and there’s no stopping me!

My destiny is shaped in line with God’s perfect will for me. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

How Lady Lured Nnamdi Kanu From London To A South American Country - VANGUARD
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion

Quote:There are Indications that IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested in a South American country after he was tricked by a Nigerian Lady working undercover with Nigerian security agencies

A source who did not give details of what Nnamdi Kanu was doing with the lady in the South American country, confirmed that Nnamdi Kanu left his London abode where as a British citizen, he has rights and flew to the South American country, thereby falling prey to security operatives.

The source said that on arriving at the popular South American country, the undercover agent ushered him to a hotel which unknown to Kanu was already secured by intelligence operatives.

The IPOB leader was subsequently tranquilized with a suspected high dose of drugs that knocked him off before he was moved into a vehicle and driven to the airport.

Thereafter, the source said Kanu was flown to Nigeria in a private jet which was already on standby for the journey to Nigeria and that he slept all through the journey.

A source said the successful arrest of Nnamdi Kanu by the coordinated efforts of Nigerian Security Agencies led by the National Intelligence Agency and INTERPOL and his subsequent Movement to Nigeria, was the reason President Muhammadu Buhari’s scheduled trip to London for medical check up was postponed.

The planning and execution of the arrest and his movement to Nigeria was said to be ‘an Ultra-Secret Intelligence Mission’ which many diplomatic and other officials, even in government were not privy to.

'No Going Back On Biafra Struggle’ — IPOB Breaks Silence On Kanu’s Arrest

Quote:The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has warned the Federal Government against allowing any evil befall its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

DAILY POST reports that this was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful.

The Biafra group asked members to mobilize and storm the court on next adjourned date.

It said the group would expose details of “his abduction later.”

Powerful said, “Our leader Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is presently in the custody of the Nigeria Government. This evil crime of kidnapping was masterminded by the Nigeria Government in collaboration with all those that view IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as stumbling block against their bid to hold Biafra in perpetual slavery.

“We, therefore, enjoin every IPOB member both at home and in the Diaspora and all Biafrans to remain calm because this is not the end of the road. Our Leader’s next court appearance is July 26, 2021 and Biafrans should mobilize and attend the court hearing.

“IPOB will not relent in the pursuit of Biafra freedom. We have crossed the Rubicon in our struggle for the restoration of Biafran Sovereignty. There is no going back no matter the level of intimidation by our oppressors.

“Our Leader can never be coerced into abandoning the struggle for Biafra restoration irrespective of the circumstance.
At this very challenging moment in the history of our march to freedom, all IPOB family members must stand firm and resolute behind our selfless leader. We stand by him and the God of Heavens in whom we trust and rest our confidence shall not let us down. We shall triumph!

“We remind the Nigeria government and her security agencies that our Leader deserves justice and fair hearing. We also want to state unequivocally, that no harm should befall our leader. Should anything untoward happen to him, Nigeria Government will be held accountable for it.

“We are watching closely and all our intelligence units, are following up on the developments. The international community should not be quiet over the atrocities of the Nigeria Government against Biafrans. They must rise in defense of justice now!”

Kanu is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, following his arraignment on Tuesday before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

WEDNESDAY 30TH JUNE.

TRUST AND LIVE IN THE WORD

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves…But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:22-25).

The Word of God is immutable and infallible; its integrity is unquestionable. The Word is able to produce in and for you the message that it bears. God’s Word is everything. Any change or miracle you desire in life is possible through the Word. God’s Word is His material for your blessing, which is why you must get the Word into your spirit; trust and live in the Word.

God’s response to you, His solution to every problem, is His Word. To those who were afflicted and in distress, Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” When He wanted to launch Abraham to a new level in his life, He gave him the Word. He said to him, “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee” (Genesis 17:5).

Though Abraham had no physical descendants at the time, in the mind of God, he was the father of many nations. That was God’s destiny for him, a destiny created through God’s Word.

Don’t assume that as long as God has given a word concerning you, it’ll come to pass; you have a role to play. You must connect to and align yourself with His message to you to experience the blessings thereof.

God’s Word is full of power, and that power is real and available to us. However, the way to make contact with that power and use it to your benefit is walking in the Word, being a doer of the Word. It’s the doers—not the hearers of the Word—that are blessed. Read our theme scripture again.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the blessings of living in your Word. Through the Word and the Holy Spirit, I’m guided in divine wisdom to walk in, and fulfil your destiny for my life, bringing you glory as I produce works and fruits of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that I will never live outside of God’s plan for me. My life only goes in the direction of the Son of God! I am filled with the fullness of God, loaded with all power, glory, might, and grace of divinity!

I am an associate of the God-kind, with the totality of divinity tabernacled in my spirit and uniquely expressed through me. Failure is not a part of me, therefore, I cannot fail in life; I can only be a wonder and an outstanding success, just like Jesus. Hallelujah!

In all I do, I am empowered to prosper. I refuse to be disadvantaged; for the God that does the unimaginable is shining through me, and as He is, so am I in this world. I am founded on the Rock; there’s no area of darkness in my life.

The true light that lightens every man’s world has illuminated my life. I am bold and courageous, fear has no place in me; for the Father has not given unto me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

I have a sound mind and the Spirit of excellence is at work in me. My spirit is inundated with the anointing, such that it permeates my soul and moves upon my physical body, thereby making me invulnerable every day to the assaults of the devil, and victorious everyday. Blessed be God!

God bless you

Nigerian woman found love at 47, married at 48 and gave birth to a baby boy before her 50th birthday

A Nigerian woman, Ladunni Idowu Giwa-Osagie has welcomed her first child at almost the age of 50.

Ladun met her husband, Aigbovo-Giwa-Osagie when she turned 47, they got married at 48, she became pregnant at 49 and on June 25th, 2021, just before her 50th birthday, she gave birth to a baby boy named Osarumuwese Oluwaseyitanfunmi Nosakhare.

Her heartwarming testimony and inspiring personal story was shared by a friend, Ifeanyi Omeni on Monday, June 28. Read below:

GOLDEN GLADIATOR
I loved gladiator films during my growing-up years. Films like Ben Hur and its counterparts, featuring warriors of the ancient Roman Empire who fought in amphitheatres, to entertain an excited crowd, were my great delight. A little bit of that love still lingers, and I sure can settle down to watch those films at a stretch, without boredom descending on me.

Those Roman gladiators were like tin gods, ruling the amphitheatres and looked like the epitome of masculinity. Many maidens will sure feel safe, encased in those strong arms, characterised by rippling muscles. And my God, were those guys handsome? Soft on the eyes, with smiles that could charm maidens of that era. Looks like they were handpicked.

I took a trip to Rome last year and saw the Colosseum, an amphitheatre where gladiator fights took place in days of old. The monumental Roman Amphitheatre in Rome, is a golden-brownish building with perforated holes. I half-hoped to see Ben Hur arise from the arena and show his skills as a daring gladiator.

The gladiators of old were conquerors, warriors and celebrated champions. Though the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary describes a gladiator as a man in ancient Rome, who was trained to fight other men or animals, in order to entertain the public, I beg to differ from that definition, in this creative message.

I dare to define a gladiator as a male or female who has fought and won a long-drawn out war. One who can say with confidence that some may trust in chariots and horses but I will remember the name of the Lord, for his name is a strong tower and safe within those fortified walls, I have won a war and can now share the story of my gladiator fight.

This is a narrative of a female gladiator who fought and emerged victorious and whose story is told to encourage those still facing failure, that they will become gladiators, too.

Her story for me, begins many years ago…I walked into Protea Hotel that day and saw this charming lady with two prominent features. A glittering golden skin and a gap tooth that added to her charm and poise. From a distance, I admired her, and was soon brought in close contact with her.

The WhatsApp group was formed for singles-still-waiting-still desirous to use the way of righteousness to achieve success. I was one of them and she came on board too. With rapt attention, I viewed her contributions to the group and was eager to meet her.

The day came, at Dominoes Pizza outlet. Her sweet presence filled the place and I listened with rapt attention to her tales of her walk in the walkways of singlehood. Daring, and open, she shared her story and I was fascinated. Another meeting was at a member’s house and she once again showed she is a sweetheart.

Many more virtual meetings followed, as I heard her voice through the thought-provoking comments she made on the WhatsApp group. She has shown she is a Tale Weaver convert, on the group. Anytime I post an article and only one person reads it, it is sure to be her. Her comments come in torrents, encouraging and heartwarming.

This gap-tooth queen, is one great encourager of my creativity. She bought my recent novels and gave me my very first job of tribute writing. I crafted a birthday tribute for a friend of hers and her appreciative comments made my day and encouraged me to take up the art form as a business venture. I refused financial compensation, but she insisted and rewarded me.

Was I thrilled that day in the year 2019, when she sent the message to the WhatsApp group.

‘I, Oladunni Idowu, finally found love at 47. Join me in appreciating God for his faithfulness and mercy. Indeed, delay is not denial.’

Her words of encouragement and inspiration brought to life dead dreams and shrivelled hopes. The members of the Mature Christian Singles celebrated one of their own, Ladunni, whose story of triumph made many believe in the message of an on-time God.

Ladunni’s story follows a trail of triumph. Of a lady who found love at 47, married at 48, got pregnant at age 49 and just before her 50th birthday, gave birth to a baby boy called Osarumuwese - The Lord has done me well; Oluwaseyitanfunmi - the Lord has done this for me in full and Nosakhare - God's Will.

On 25th June 2021, Ladunni took a rapid leap unto the 5th floor as the mother of a baby boy.

I present the GOLDEN GLADIATOR, LADUNNI GIWA-OSAGIE, whose story has proved the biblical saying that weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Ladunni’s marriage to Aigbovo Giwa-Osagie, whom I call the husband of the year, is an encouragement to those Christian sisters who are beckoning at compromise, because they feel that God has forgotten them and they want to 'help' themselves.

The Gap-tooth Queen has changed address and has made many ladies dress their lives with hope.

I attended the GOLDEN CEREMONY OF LADUNNI’S ASCENSION to the fifth floor and the dedication of her son at White Stone Event Centre, Billingsway Ikeja, Lagos, on 25th June 2021, where the guests were bedecked in white, as a symbol of the purity of divine love and the freshness of a new season.

I watched Ladunni, who appeared at first in white lace with gold trimmings, and later as the lady in red, symbolizing the love she so freely shares with her husband. It was palpable as a touch, and people could not hold back their demonstrations of joy for the woman they came to honour.

Her husband dripped with joy and gratitude to God who gave him a woman he described as beyond amazing. When he stated that since he met her, he stopped having headaches, I could testify, for Ladunni is a woman who sprays her sweet fragrance wherever she steps into.

Her calls and words of encouragement to me, when she shared the testimony of her meeting with her beau, I cannot fail to recall. When she noticed my silence on the group, the absence of my usual birthday tributes for members, she alone checked on me and sent a voice note, praying for me, to uplift my spirits.

Beloved Ladunni, such an inspiring lady!

I watched the glow on her face on that day of her coronation as a gladiator and could see that it went beyond the signature of a skilful makeup artist. It was a glow from within. As though a pipe connected her innermost feelings of joy, to her outer expression of delight.

Beyond the music of Yinka Alaseyori of oniduromi fame, the presence of comedian Kenny Black and Sonma Anyama, Dave of My Siblings and I comedy by Funke Akindele, there was the atmosphere of undiluted joy, a crowning of a maiden’s desire.

To Ladunni Giwa-Osagie, the Golden Gladiator, I dedicate this message. To the Golden Gladiator, who has not performed to entertain, but whose testimony has paved a way for many ladies to anchor their trust in God, I present this tribute. Remain rooted in divinity.
Ify Omeni – The Tale Weaver

I pray… For those who are younger than Ladunni, that they will not soil their garments of righteousness, while they wait.

For those older than Ladunni, that they will still look ahead and see a brilliant sunrise, where they will surely wear the garments of a gladiators.

Quote:As the National Assembly is moving to pass the Petroleum Industry Bill, the members of the House of Representatives from the North are meeting leaders from the north to take a position on the bill.

The caucus on commenced a two-day retreat on the bill, with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, the Chairman of Arewa Conservative Forum, Audu Ogbeh, the governor of Nasarawa State, Abdulahi Sule, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello in attendance at the Zuma Resort in Niger State.

At the meeting, the issue of exploration of oil in the North was at the forefront, as the Sultan called for more exploration of oil in the north.

The Sultan said there is enough oil in the North that can address poverty and unemployment in the country.

“We continue to talk about poverty, unemployment and the attendant insecurity while we are sitting on billions of barrels of Hydrocarbon from Sokoto Basin to Chad Basin, and from Gongola to Bida and Benue Trouh Basins untapped.

“We should have a PlB that will encourage massive hydrocarbon exploration in those Frontier Basins, a PlB that will attract foreign investors to bring their funds and deveIop the resources.”

Also speaking at the retreat, Audu Ogbue said urged the lawmakers to make sure they did not leave office broke.

He urged them to save while in office and invest the money in industrialisation and buying of houses

“Let none of you leave the House broke,” the former Minister of Agriculture said to the lawmakers. Adding that if they should ignore the advice, they will be miserable for it.

“Develop a second address, a more permanent address which you can hand over to your children,” he stated.

The House is due to resume on Tuesday, and PIB could be on the agenda before they embark on annual recess.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

TUESDAY 29TH JUNE 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: HIS INVIGORATING POWER IN YOU

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16).

When the Holy Spirit came to live in the quarters of your heart, you ceased to be an ordinary being. Many have received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, but they haven’t understood this truth; they haven’t been taught what the Holy Spirit has the power and ability to do inside them.

The Holy Spirit living inside you makes you a superman! That’s what the Apostle Paul was referring to in our theme verse. He prayed that God’s people be “strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.” The word “strengthened” is to be invigorated with might.

The Bible tells us that when the children of Israel were brought out of Egypt and headed for the Promised Land, “...there was not one feeble person among their tribes”*_ (Psalm 105:37). None of them had to be carried because he or she was too weak. They were divinely invigorated. It’s the same with you today, and even better.

Now that you’ve received the Holy Spirit, your hitherto mortal body has been quickened—made alive. You can live without any form of weakness in your body. Romans 8:10 tells us that since Christ now lives in you, even if your body had been ravaged by sickness and disease, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness. That’s divine vitalization.

Christ in you—the Holy Ghost in you— is your assurance of healing, divine health and a glorious life in Christ Jesus. But if you’re not taught this, it’ll not be real in your life. That’s why you find many Christians who believe it’s okay to be sick; no! Christians aren’t supposed to be sick; not when you have the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). The Holy Spirit perambulates your body (2 Corinthians 6:16). How can sickness thrive in your body, where the Holy Spirit perambulates? What you need is to be more conscious of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, of His power and glory in you. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m constantly invigorated by the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. He gives me supernatural power, the miracle-working ability to perform. There’s no weakness in me, because the Holy Spirit, the very embodiment of all glory, dominion and strength, lives in me in His fullness; and He keeps my spirit, soul and body invigorated and ever alive. Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY

Ephesians 1:18-19
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Romans 8:10-11
And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Senate President, Lawan Gifts Newly Wedded Wife N100m As National Assembly Building Deteriorates

Quote:Despite claiming Nigeria is broke and should keep borrowing to fund critical infrastructures, the President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan has splashed over N100m on his new wife, Zainab Algoni Abdulwahid.

SaharaReporters had reported how Lawan secretly married Zainab at a very private ceremony in Borno State on Friday.

The low-key marriage was solemnised at the Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Saleh's mosque in Maiduguri.

SaharaReporters gathered that the event was performed secretly to avoid public criticism while Zainab is expected to relocate to Abuja on Sunday.

A mini party was also held at the bride's family residence in Gwange 1 Ward, Malut Shuwa Street, Maiduguri.

A source close to Zainab told SaharaReporters on Saturday that the Senate President gifted her N100 million a few days after they were introduced to each other.

The bride was said to have bought three houses in Maiduguri out of the money.

"Lawan personally gave her N100 million days after he saw her pictures. The money was so huge that Zainab bought three houses here in Maiduguri," the source said.

Quote:Hundred of passengers on Abuja/Kaduna train are currently stranded in Dutse, Kaduna, as the train developed faults few minutes into the journey.

Daily Trust reports that five minutes after the train departed the Rigasa Station in Kaduna, it developed a mechanical fault.

Twice, the train stopped before getting to Dutse, where it finally broke down.

Midat Joseph, an Assistant National Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), who is one of the passengers, said the train developed fault around 7:am.

“I left my house as early as 5:am to join the 6:40am train but unfortunately I have been trapped here in this forest. This is not the first time I will be experiencing this mess,” he said.

Another passenger, said he had similar experience on Saturday, saying they spent six hours to get to Abuja.

“This is unfortunate. On Saturday, we spent five hours from Abuja to Kaduna. We left Abuja 6:pm but we did not get to Kaduna until 11:pm,” he said.

An engineer of the NRC, who addressed the passengers, told them that it would take them two hours to fix the train.

“We are very sorry, the locomotive is faulty. We have contacted the Idu Train Station for another locomotive. It would take them two hours to be here,“ he said.

The passengers were finally evacuated at 10:20am.

DAILY POST gathered that the masquerade worshipers opened gunfire at the Muslims at their worship centre, Kamorudeen Central Mosque, located at Oluode Aranyin in Osogbo around 2:30 pm on Sunday while performing a special prayer for Nigeria.

Some of the children who were shot are under 17 years and are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Boko Haram, ISWAP In Mass Recruitment Of Bandits
User Avatar Forum: General Discussion
Posted by: Edoman - 06-28-2021, 12:19 PM - No Replies

States worst hit by the intractable rural banditry are; Niger, Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi...

Quote:Insurgent groups; Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah lid Da’awatu wal Jihad (JAS, better known as Boko Haram), Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Jama’atu Ansarul Muslimina fii Biladis Sudan (Vanguard for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa, also known as Ansaru) are competing with one another in a mass membership drive among the ranks of Fulani bandits terrorising most of the North West and part of North Central states, Daily Trust reliably gathered.

Locals, security sources and experts who spoke with our reporter said the push is already yielding fruits for the insurgent groups with some prominent bandits declaring allegiance to the terrorist groups or consenting to a close working relationship; sharing intelligence and logistics support among themselves.

States worst hit by the intractable rural banditry are; Niger, Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi. The states share boundaries and are easily navigated through large swathes of unmanned forests.

The six states have 249,143 square kilometres of landmass, an area more than the size of the United Kingdom. Most of the landmass is ungoverned, with a significant part occupied by inaccessible forests and rural communities.

Investigation by Daily Trust revealed that there are at least three active Islamic insurgent groups operating in the banditry-ravaged states, and pushing for deeper roots.

An expert on the insurgency and researcher at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change in London, Audu Bulama Bukarti, told Daily Trust at the weekend, that the “Boko Haram’s infiltration of the criminals in the North West is extremely dangerous on several levels”.

Department for States Services (DSS), the agency in charge of intelligence gathering and internal security did not respond to a request for comment on this story.

For a long time, security sources said, Boko Haram, ISWAP and Ansaru have been struggling for space within the expanse of land covering these states. The terrorist groups are in active moves with the aim of benefitting from the chaos created by bandits, especially in the worst-hit states.

A recent report by the International Crisis Group (ICG) pointed out that since late 2019, ISWAP and Ansaru have started taking credit for attacks in the North West. In October last year, according to the report, ISWAP claimed responsibility for an attack on Nigerian troops in Sokoto.

“Many Nigerian security and other independent local sources interviewed by Crisis Group corroborate that amid the breakdown of stability in Zamfara and elsewhere, two Boko Haram offshoots are making inroads into the the region, where they are forging tighter relationships with aggrieved communities, herder-affiliated armed groups and criminal gangs,” the report released last month reads in part.

The recruitment drive

Informed sources confided in this newspaper that for a long time, the Abubakar Shekau-led Boko Haram and ISWAP have made a deliberate policy of setting up presence in the North West states and Niger to benefit from the confusion created by the unruly activities of bandits and divide the attention of security forces whose concentration was on the groups’ hotbed of Borno and Yobe states.

Ansaru, which had hitherto maintained sleeper cells following bursting of its main cell in Okene, Kogi State, is said to have pioneered this collaboration by co-habiting closely with bandits under the leadership of Dogo Gide, around Kwiambana Forest in Kaduna State.

A senior political leader from the zone had last year told our reporter that Dogo Gide had collaborated with Ansaru elements to hoist a telecommunication booster in one of the rocky formations in the Birnin Gwari Forest to aid communication with the outside world.

A source familiar with Gide, who craved anonymity for fear of being targeted, said the man, who commandeers huge followership among bandits has been working with Ansaru for some three years.

“Ansaru has been based in the North West since its formation in 2012, but they have recently been trying to make a comeback. Part of their plan is recruiting the criminal elements and residents in the North West. That is why they have been releasing preaching in Fulfulde and offering microeconomic loans to local farmers,” Bukarti told Daily Trust.

In a recent audio clip of a conversation between Gide and an unidentified man who called in relation to the abduction of students of Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, the bandits’ leader could be heard alluding to his relationship with Islamic insurgents. In one video clip, he referred to himself as “Abu Abdallah”, in a naming pattern typical of Boko Haram and similar terror groups.

Though Daily Trust cannot independently verify the veracity of the audio, a source who had interfaced with Gide in the past confirmed the voice to be his.

But contrary to some of his claims in the audio clip, a security source said Gide has no established relationship with foreign insurgents.

Daily Trust gathered however that Gide’s claim to religion was based on his relationship with Ansaru, whose leaders respect him because of his vast network and control over most of the armed Fulani youths.

In its report, Crisis Group said ISWAP, which has been developing cells in much of northern Nigeria is also building the capacity of several smaller radical groups in the North West, particularly by offering livelihood support, including monthly stipends, to some of their members.

Sources on ground in Niger, Kaduna and Zamfara, said the insurgents infiltrated the ranks of the bandits through offers for logistics and intelligence support, as well as Islamic messaging.

At various times, the terror groups also sent out special emissaries to woo the Fulani bandits into their fold. They reportedly make use of preachers who emphasise fault lines of injustice and unfair treatment allegedly meted on herders.

A security operative in Zamfara said only recently, gunmen believed to be insurgents arrived Dunburum Forest in Zurmi Local Government of the state in seven Hilux vans. They were hosted by a bandits leader, known as Alhaji Shingi and have set up their own camps in the forest.

The hot spots

Boko Haram elements, Daily Trust authoritatively gathered, have taken camps in Wawa Forest in Niger State, converting a lot of wallowing bandits from nearby Zamfara into their own fold.

A Fulani man who has relatives living in the area said the insurgents set the rules among residents and hold court to hear disputes and pass judgments.

The insurgents in Wawa neighbouring areas are controlled by Gide, which extends into Dangulbi Forest in Zamfara and areas around Zuru in Kebbi State. Gide was the one who brokered the deal that led to the release of Kagara schoolboys and teachers abducted in February.

Ansaru’s presence, according to sources, is mostly around Kwiambana Forest in Birnin Gwari to other nearby forests in Igabi and Giwa Local Governments of Kaduna State, as well as Shiroro and Kagara areas of Niger State.

In Zamfara and Sokoto states, the insurgents are said to have wooed some of the bandits through the supply of arms and ammunitions from nearby Niger Republic, thereby endearing themselves to the bandits terrorising places like Sabon Birni and Isa in Sokoto and Zurmi in Zamfara, and parts of Katsina State.

However, some of the bandits were said to have rebuffed entreaties by Boko Haram emissaries to the area.

Bandits’ leaders applying ‘Shari’a’ law

Some of the bandits’ leaders who are said to have accepted the evangelical missions of the insurgents are said to have started enforcement of strict Islamic codes in their domains.

Some of them, Daily Trust gathered, have banned vices such as fornication, use of intoxicants and cattle rustling in their domains.

In his recorded telephone conversation, Gide repeatedly mentioned that he has a Qur’anic school in which he enrolled the abducted students.

He also threatened to convert them into fighters and marry off the girls to his men, in what was similar to Boko Haram and ISWAP modus operandi.

In the area between Zurmi in Zamfara State and Kagara, in Sokoto State, another renowned bandit, Turji, is said to be applying the same tactics as locals said rumours of him aligning with terrorist groups is ripe.

“He has fixed prayer times and has preachers preaching in the community. He has also chased out all those selling drugs and engaging in all forms of lascivious acts,” said a source in one of the neighbouring communities.

He said Turji may soon declare for Boko Haram fully even as men from his gang had recently moved in large numbers to join fighters belonging to Gide camp in a new camp springing up in Dangulbi Forest.

It is unclear what is the motive of the combined forces.

Alliance extremely dangerous – Expert

In his reaction Bukarti, who has studied the Islamic insurgency in the Sahel region closely, said the incursion of Boko Haram and similar groups to other states outside the North East is a dangerous move that should be halted by the authorities.

“Firstly, Boko Haram can give groups moral justification for their killings and criminality,” he said.

“If a criminal that has been massacring people and abducting them starts to believe that what he is doing is not a crime but a Jihad, he will get even more brutal and cruel. Secondly, enlisting in Boko Haram will allow criminal groups to recruit young people who might not have otherwise joined them.”

Bukarti also expressed fears that Boko Haram can transfer its skills of making weapons such as improvised explosive devices to the criminal gangs they are linked with and boost their weapon supply.

“On Boko Haram’s part, a link with the criminal elements in the North is a fulfilment of its expansionist ambitions. The relationship can also give Boko Haram access to the kidnapping industry in the North West as well the cattle rustling and mining ones. This will boost Boko Haram’s finances,” he said.

The researcher said the Nigerian government must take quick steps to stop the terrorist groups in their expansionist agenda.

“For Nigeria, this alliance is extremely dangerous. That is why government must work flat out to disrupt it. Continuing to deny in the face of clear evidence will only allow the criminals and terrorists time to consolidate their relationship.

“If that happens, the situation in the North West will get even worse and, in addition to the human cost, Northern Nigeria’s economy will take a serious hit,” he explained.

Spokesperson of the DSS, Peter Afunaya, did not respond to the request for comments on this story. He did not answer repeated calls and did not reply to two text messages sent to him by this reporter.

Petrol Landing Cost Now ₦232, Subsidy Rises To ₦5.58 Billion Daily
User Avatar Forum: Oil/Gas
Posted by: Edoman - 06-28-2021, 12:14 PM - No Replies

Quote:April landing cost, N216, devaluation, rising crude price fueling price increase
The landing cost of Premium Motor Spirit being imported into Nigeria surged by more than 60 per cent between December 2020 and mid-June this year, although the pump price of the product remained unchanged, ’FEMI ASU reports

From an average of N143.60 per litre in December, the landing cost of petrol rose to N231.98 per litre on June 16 this year on the back of the rally in global oil prices and the depreciation of the naira against the dollar.

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency had in March this year released a pricing template that indicated the guiding prices for the month.

The template, which showed that petrol pump price was expected to range from N209.61 to N212.61 per litre, was greeted with widespread public outcry and was later deleted by the agency from its website.

The pump price of petrol has remained at between N162 and N165 per litre at many filling stations in Lagos since December.

The template, which was based on an average oil price of $62.22 per barrel for February and an exchange rate of N403.80 to a dollar, showed that the landing cost of petrol was N189.61 per litre.

Last month, the Central Bank of Nigeria devalued the naira as it adopted the NAFEX exchange rate of N410.25 per dollar as its official exchange rate, days after removing the N379/$ rate from its website.

The price of crude oil, which accounts for a large chunk of the final cost of petrol, has continued to rise in recent months, with Brent, the international oil benchmark, closing at a record high of $76.18 per barrel last Friday, up from $73.88 per litre on June 16.

The Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari, said on March 25 that with the current market situation, the actual price of petrol could have been anywhere between N211 and N234 per litre.

He said the Federal Government was subsidising petrol with about N100bn to N120bn monthly (N3.3bn-N4bn daily) as it was being sold for N162 per litre.

The PUNCH had in an April 20, 2021 report estimated that the subsidy on petrol would gulp N500bn in the first five months of this year as the Federal Government decided to leave the pump price of petrol unchanged in the period despite the increase in global oil prices.

Based on the PPPRA template and Platts data, the expected pump price of the product stood at N254.90 per litre as of June 16, up from N239.31 per litre on April 16.

The expected retail price of N254.90 per litre and the current pump price of N162 per litre indicate a subsidy of N92.98 per litre as of June 16, compared to N77.31 per litre on April 16.

With daily petrol consumption put at about 60 million litres by the NNPC and a subsidy of N92.98 per litre, daily subsidy increased to N5.58bn on June 16 from N4.64bn on April 16.

The rising price of crude oil pushed the cost of petrol quoted on Platts to $691.25 per metric tonne (N211.47 per litre) on June 16 from $642.25 (N193.39 per litre) on April 16.

The PPPRA, in its March template, used an average cost of $561.96 per MT (N169.22 per litre) and an average freight rate of $21.63 per MT (N6.62 per litre).

Other cost elements that make up the landing cost include lightering expenses (N4.81), Nigerian Ports Authority charge (N2.49), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency charge (N0.23), jetty throughput charge (N1.61), storage charge (N2.58), and financing (N2.17).

The pump price is the sum of the landing cost, wholesaler margin (N4.03), admin charge (N1.23), transporters allowance (N3.89), bridging fund (N7.51), marine transport average (N0.15), and retailer margin (N6.19).

The NNPC, which has been the sole importer of petrol into the country in recent years, is still being relied upon by marketers for the supply of the product despite the deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector.

This month, the International Monetary Fund expressed concern over the resurfacing of fuel subsidies in Nigeria, describing it as ‘concerning, particularly in the context of low revenue mobilisation’.

The Federal Government had in March 2020 removed petrol subsidy after reducing the pump price of the product to N125 per litre from N145 following the sharp drop in crude oil prices.

“The recent introduction and implementation of an automatic fuel price formula will ensure fuel subsidies, which we have eliminated, do not reemerge,” the Nigerian government had told the IMF in the letter of intent dated April 21, 2020 with respect to its request for emergency financial assistance of $3.4bn.

In February this year, the IMF said in a report after its Article IV consultation with Nigeria that the Nigerian authorities expressed strong commitment to prevent fuel subsidies from resurfacing and to fully eliminate electricity tariff shortfalls by mid-2021.

But petrol subsidy re-emerged earlier this year as the government did not allow the pump price of the product to reflect the significant rise in oil prices.

“The mission expressed its concern with the resurgence of fuel subsidies. It reiterated the importance of introducing market-based fuel pricing mechanism and the need to deploy well-targeted social support to cushion any impact on the poor,” the IMF said on June 17.

Deregulate price to curb smuggling of product – IPMAN

The National Operations Controller, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mr Mike Osatuyi, in an interview with our correspondent, noted that the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari, had said last week that the pump price of petrol should be about N256 per litre.

He said the subsidy being spent on the product had increased significantly, saying, “The best thing is for the government to deregulate the price of petrol to curb the smuggling of the product outside Nigeria to neighbouring countries.

“As long as the price of crude oil continues to rise and the pump prices of petrol remain the same in Nigeria, subsidy will increase and petrol smuggling will continue.”

Subsidy payment increases reduce funds for infrastructure development – Rewane

Analysts at the Financial Derivatives Company Limited, led by economic expert Bismarck Rewane, said they expect the positive sentiment of rising global demand to continue to impact the oil market in the next four to six weeks, keeping oil prices elevated above $70 per barrel.

They said in a new report, “While this is good news for Nigeria in terms of increased government revenue and dollar cash flows, it also has its downside.

“Since Nigeria imports all its refined crude, higher oil prices amid an exchange rate adjustment implies that landing costs have increased.

“Since fuel prices remain unchanged at N165/litre, it could mean that subsidy payments have increased, reducing the funds available for infrastructure development. Or, it could signify another petrol price increase in subsequent months. If this happens, it could stoke social unrest in an already terse socio-economic environment.”

Quote:“I tried to give my mother paracetamol and drinking water after the initial beating but my father threw them away. She then went to bathe after which she lied down outside to rest a little before coming inside to sleep but my father locked us inside the room and resumed the beating of my weak mother outside.

Neighbours later helped us (the three children) to open the door, only to see our dead mother on the ground. She was then rushed to two different hospitals in the neighbourhood where she was confirmed dead.”he said

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

 MONDAY 28TH JUNE.

IT’S IN YOUR MOUTH

Giving thanks unto the Father…Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13)

In Exodus 17, the Bible shows us that the Amalekites became one of Israel’s enemies in the early periods of their history. So, Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men, and go and fight with Amalek; but I’ll go up to the mountain of God with the rod of God in my hand” (Exodus 17:9). Exodus 17:10 says, “So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.”

While the battle was raging, Aaron and Hur noticed that whenever Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed, and when he lowered his hands, the Amalekites prevailed. The Bible says they “…took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun” (Exodus 17:12).

As a result, Joshua, leading the army of Israel, discomfited Amalek: “And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword” (Exodus 17:13). But the war was won from the mountain, through the lifting up of Moses’ hands; they controlled things in the earth, from the spiritual realm.

On a previous occasion, God had said to Moses, when the Israelites, being chased by the Egyptians, came before the red sea, “Stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it” (Exodus 14:16). But in Joshua’s day, the revelation progressed; it was about where the soles of their feet shall tread upon: “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses” (Joshua 1:3).

No wonder when it was time for them to cross the Jordan, Joshua didn’t have to stretch his hands over Jordan. The Bible says soon as “…the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters… failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho” (Joshua 3:15-16).

Blessed be God! In our day, it’s even better! We only need to speak from wherever we are, and the power of God will be activated for supernatural results anywhere in the world. The power is in your mouth! The Word is in your mouth. The authority is in your mouth, by the blessed Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! We don’t need to climb up the mountain like Moses; we’re already on the mountain of God! We were born there, for the Bible says we’ve arrived on Mount Zion (Hebrews 12:22). Praise God forever!

CONFESSION

With my mouth, I steer my life in God’s direction for me, in prosperity, health and abundance. I refuse failure, poverty, sickness and anything that’s of darkness. The Word of God is light, and as I speak it forth, darkness is completely obliterated. My victories and triumphant life in Christ are assured. Glory to God!

#RHEMAFORTODAY

Say these with me, ‘The Holy Spirit lives in the quarters of my heart; He is the fire and power of my life. His light blazes intensely in my heart, making the Father’s presence real to me, His passion aglow, and His purity aflame in my spirit.

Every good and perfect gift is from my Father; and by the Holy Spirit, my spiritual eyes are continually opened to recognize those resources, gifts, and talents the Father has placed at my disposal, so I could be a solution provider, both in my life and in the life of God’s people.

I am life-conscious; life works in me! Every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, and every cell of my blood is inundated with divine energy! I will never be defeated because God is at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. I am alive unto God; for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Hallelujah!

Grace and peace are multiplied in my life. That grace working in me is the power of promotion, unending success, and an extraordinary life of excellence, victory, and dominion. I take advantage of it now and always. I refuse anything and everything that is inconsistent with the Father’s perfect will for my life. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

Boko Haram & ISWAP Forge Alliance, Threaten Havoc Against ‘Unbelievers'

Quote:Following the death of the factional leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau, who reportedly blew up himself to avoid being captured by Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP ) fighters, Boko Haram fighters have formed an alliance with commanders of ISWAP.

The reunion announced in a viral video which was obtained by LEADERSHIP on Saturday in Maiduguri, shows the Boko Haram and ISWAP commanders placing their palms on top of each other chanting words of solidarity as a sign of new alliance.

In the about 13-minute video, the terrorists of both camps pledged their allegiance to one Aba Ibrahim Al-Hashimiyil AlKhuraishi, whom they unanimously ordained as ‘Khalifan Muslimai’, translated as “The Leader of all Muslims”.

Four insurgents, drawn from Boko Haram bloc and ISWAP sect, were seen in the clip pledging their loyalty to their new commander while speaking in Arabic, Hausa, English and Fulfulde respectively.

One of the speakers confirmed the report that intelligence services played critical roles in creating divisions in the camps of the terrorists when he claimed that the enemies succeeded in dividing them, but saying that they have now reunited for a common goal.

Thus, in the latest video released by Boko Haram, a terrorist who first spoke, extended his greeting to their new Leader, Khuraishi, thanking him for eventually bringing them together.

Pledging his loyalty, he said every member of Boko Haram and ISWAP should be happy that they are now united.

Another terrorist, while speaking in Hausa, greeted Al-Hashimiyil Khuraishi, assuring that he and his colleague-insurgents will not flout his orders and commandments.

He expressed delight that they are now back as one ‘indivisible entity’, after the mutual hatred that hitherto divided them, gave way.

Another ISWAP fighter, who was wielding a sophisticated gun hung on his neck, thundered: ”What is left now is Jihad. We will not stop fighting the unbelievers. All the unbelievers are now in trouble.”

According to the daredevil terrorist, every Boko Haram and ISWAP member must be ready to fight under the directive of their new leader, for them to survive and succeed.

The 50-year-old Mr Ozigbo polled 62 out of 218 votes to beat 13 other aspirants who were on the ballot.

Besides, a faction of the party had held a parallel primary elsewhere in Awka which produced Ugochukwu Uba as its own candidate.

The candidates defeated by Mr Ozigbo included Uche Ukwunife, a serving senator, who scored 44 votes and came third in the primary which was conducted late into Saturday night.

Obiora Okonkwo, a billionaire businessman, came second with 58 votes.

Mr Ozigbo was the president and chief executive officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) from 2019 to 2020.

He has worked with several banks in Nigeria, including Diamond Bank and the United Bank for Africa.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

 SUNDAY 27TH JUNE.

REASSIGN THE EARTH’S DESOLATE HERITAGES

…and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages (Isaiah 49:8).

The KJV construction of the verse above, especially the latter part, is somewhat complex; but the NIV simplifies it. It says, “…to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.” Notice the underlined expression; it’s so powerful. It means that as God’s people, we’re designated to reassign the earth’s desolate heritages.

In other words, in places where Satan has wreaked havoc, we can overturn his activities, his manipulations and manoeuvres, and establish the will of God. The Bible talks about the dark places of the earth that are filled with the habitations of cruelty (Psalm 74:20); but it’s not enough to cast the devils out of such regions and places; we must reassign such places to angels and insist that only the righteousness of God prevails therein.

Therefore, if you have noticed satanic activities in your city, town, village, county, region or country, do what Jesus said to do in Mark 16:17: Cast the devils out, as you pray fervently in the Spirit and charge them to return no more. Then reassign these regions, formerly destitute of the Spirit of God, to angels.

Why is this important? It’s because of what Jesus said; He said the devil that you cast out goes to the dry places seeking rest, looking for where to go. If he doesn’t find any, he comes back to the same place from where he was cast out, and if he finds it empty, swept and garnished, he’ll bring in seven other spirits more wicked than himself (Read Matthew 12:43-45).

So, you’ve got to learn to reassign desolate heritages. You have the authority and there’re angels at your service. And so, when you dispossess evil spirits from a family, city or a nation, you say, “In the Name of Jesus, I reassign this family, city or nation to angels of God!” The Holy Ghost knows exactly which of the angels should take over that place to ensure things are run by the principles of the Kingdom of God, ensuring only the Word of God dominates and prevails. Praise God!

PRAYER

I have the authority and power in the Name of Jesus to reign and rule over Satan and circumstances; therefore, I declare that the righteousness of God, and the reign of God’s Kingdom prevails in my family, my city, and nation; and Jesus is glorified. Amen.

A video shared online captioned shows the crashed luxury whip severely damaged at the engine area in the middle of a busy street and the potential buyer could be heard in the video expressed his disappointment and shock at the turn of events.

Quote:Many suspected members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the militia wing of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) group, were on Friday killed during raids of their camps in Imo State by police operatives.

The raid, which took place at Atta, Izombe and Ideato North areas of the state, was said to have commenced around 4am on Friday.

The Nation gathered operatives of the Intelligence Response Squad (IRT), Special Tactical Squad (STS), Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) and other special forces carried out the operation and completely overran three camps allegedly belonging to IPOB/ESN.

Sources told The Nation that a commander of the group, who was earlier arrested, led operatives to the camps where several weapons, stolen vehicles, explosives, gun powders, charms, weed, ammunition, hard drugs and the group’s flags were recovered.

Although the number of suspects killed were not specified, a source privy to the operation said many were neutralised inside the forest during gun battles.

He said six of the suspects were apprehended and were currently aiding police investigation.

Pastor Richard Onyekachukwu Plans His Kidnap, Demands N10m Ransom
User Avatar Forum: Other Stories
Posted by: Edoman - 06-26-2021, 06:03 PM - No Replies

Quote:The General Overseer of Resurrection Power Church, in Nasarawa State, Pastor Richard Onyekachukwu, 47, has been arrested for staging his own abduction in order to make his brother pay a ransom of N10million. The fake abduction was uncovered by operatives of the Force Intelligence Response Team (FIRT), who arrested Richard.

Richard executed the fake abduction plan along with his friend, Enoch Frank Nwaolisha, 39, who is the General Overseer of Christ Resurrection Power, Gospel Church of All Nations. Before Richard’s arrest, his brother, Prosper, on June, 16, 2021, had reported to police that Richard had been kidnapped and his abductors were asking for 10 Million ransom. FIRT got involved in the case following the Inspector- General of Police (IGP), Alkali Baba’s order to the head of FIRT, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, that the Unit should investigate the kidnap of Richard and see to his rescue.

During investigation, the operatives visited the house of Richard and met his wife, Mary, who surprisingly didn’t look worried or anxious that her husband was in the kidnappers’ den. When she was asked a series of questions, she was evasive, but when she was told that her husband was wanted for armed robbery, she screamed, denying that the man was an armed robber.

The police said: “It was at that point that she screamed, insisting that her husband was not an armed robber. She told police that Richard travelled to Taraba State for a business trip. According to her, she saw Richard a week ago.

Meanwhile his family thought he had been in the kidnappers’ den for three weeks. He was said to have been kidnapped on May 27, 2021.” The operatives took Mary to the station for further interrogation. She confessed that Richard ‘kidnapped himself.’ She also explained that Richard had financial challenges and had been looking for ways to raise money to offset his loans.

“She told police that Richard was due to visit the house, and based on that information, operatives laid ambush. Richard was picked up. He made a confessional statement and led the police to arrest his friend Enoch, who had been calling Prosper and asking for ransom,” said the police. Richard said: “I’m a pastor and a contractor.

I had a big church, Resurrection Power Church, but the roof was blown off by the wind. I took some loans to assist the businesses that I was doing to support the ministry. The loans were about N600, 000 and in the process, I had financial challenges.

I made some losses in my poultry business and COVID-19 didn’t help matters. The banks were after me, and I didn’t know what to do.”

He then thought of how to get money from his younger brother, Prosper, who is a rich civil servant. He decided to fake his kidnap. But before then, he called his friend, Nwaolisha, and told him the plan.

Nwaolisha initially said that it was a devilish idea, but Richard soon convinced him to play ball. Richard said: “I told Enoch that even if my brother paid a million or N500, 000 as ransom for my kidnap, I would be satisfied. In May, I travelled to the village to drop the corpse of our mother in the mortuary. I was supposed to return after a week. On the day I was supposed to return home, I couldn’t and there was a three-day delay. My phones were off and my wife couldn’t get me in those three days.

She feared the worst and called my brothers, telling them that I was missing. When I eventually returned, I sneaked into the compound and dropped my bag, then went to the mountain to pray. I called Enoch, telling him that opportunity had presented itself. He then called and told them that I had been kidnapped.” While feigning being kidnapped, Richard alternated between sleeping in his house and in the house of Nwaolisha. He further recounted: “I told my wife after a week, and this was because she had started suspecting my movements.

I told her what was on ground, and that I didn’t know what to do. I told her that I needed to get money from Prosper before the banks came to embarrass us.” Aside from owing banks, Richard was also battling with how to raise money for his late mother’s burial.

He noted: “As an elder, I am expected to play a major role in my late mother’s burial. We had a family meeting and fixed a date, and everyone was running around to see how to raise money to contribute. I had no particular reason to request that my brother, Prosper, should bring the ransom money. I thought everything would end within the family. My plan was to inform him after the whole issue.

Yes, my ransom target was N10million, but my family bargained for N2 Million. We were still waiting to hear from Prosper when the police arrested me.” The suspect, who said that he regretted his action, added that if he had asked for financial assistance from Prosper, he wouldn’t have assisted him. He added: “I am close to my brother, so I expected that he would pay the ransom to save my life.” Mary, who has been married to Richard for nine years, said that she’s a petty trader. Mary said that she actually thought her husband had been abducted. She narrated: “My husband told me that he would be travelling for a business trip on May 20. After some days, we couldn’t reach him and he didn’t return on the day he was supposed to. I called his brothers, but they said I should relax, that he would come home.

It took about three days before someone called, saying that my husband had been kidnapped and asking for N10million. However, a week later, Richard came home. I was happy, thinking he had been released. He then told me that since everyone believed that he had been kidnapped, I should not say anything till the ransom had been paid. When I tried to argue, he said I was stubborn. I was confused and scared.” Nwaolisha started his church two years before COVID- 19 lockdown. The lockdown witnessed the dispersing of his members and soon he couldn’t pay rent, so had to shut down the church. He said: “Richard is my brother in the Lord. He told me about his financial challenges and how he owed micro fiancé banks. His landlord was on his neck and he was also looking for money to contribute towards his mother’s burial.

He said he needed my assistance and that he wanted to ‘kidnap himself.’ He said that he didn’t know what else to do and his brother didn’t like assisting him with money. He wanted to use the fake kidnap to get money from his brother. I agreed to help him. He wrote a script and gave it to me, which I acted out, including pretending to beat him up. We normally go close to the mountain to call his brother from there. Although we didn’t talk about sharing the formula of the ransom, there was, however, a silent agreement that I would get something. I wanted to use the money to head to the east for evangelism.” Nwaolisha said that since his church shutdown, he had been surviving by going for outreach programmes, where people would sow seeds and give offerings.

A militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, which wreaked havoc on the Niger Delta during President Muhammadu Buhari’s first tenure has announced its return.

Recall that the group relatively crippled Nigeria’s economy between 2016 and 2018 by attacking oil facilities in the region which plunged the nation into recession.
In a statement made available to reporters on Saturday, the militant group said it had launched ‘Operation Humble’ aiming at crippling the economy as it did in previous times.

According to the statement, the group also vowed to clamp down on politicians who are working with the Federal Government “to undermine the Niger Delta region”.

“It is disheartening that despite being the economic backbone and having resolved to maintain the peaceful environment for the smooth operations of the oil multinationals whose

SCOAN: Evelyn Joshua Emerges As Successor Of TB Joshua - African News
User Avatar Forum: News

Quote:Who is Evelyn Joshua who is to succeed Nigeria's televangelist TB Joshua?

The wife of the late Nigerian pastor and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Evelyn Joshua, is poised to become the head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The church's elders met recently and declared Everlyn as the successor to the Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua .

“Someone must take charge immediately and give spiritual direction on the mode of service continuity. So much spiritual and financial efforts went into building SCOAN and it cannot just waste away,’’ a top aide said.

Evelyn met the late pastor in 1990 when she had traveled Egbe to visit her sister.

The two were married for 31 years and had three children.

It was further reported that she had gone to meet him for counseling and spiritual guidance.

TB Joshua proposed to her on the same day they first met after a 45-minute session.

Evelyn would later marry the self-proclaimed prophet to become second in command of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations.

Local Nigerian media estimate TB Joshua's networth at $10million, placing him among the top richest pastors on the continent.

Apart from preaching, Evelyn also offers counseling among the church followers.

The two were married for 31 years and have three children until his death on June 5, 2021 .

Family sources say the leader will be buried at his church in Ikotun, Lagos state.

Initial reports indicated that the pastor will be buried at his church in Ikotun, Lagos state.

The church elders and family members later intervened and decided that the pastor will be buried in Lagos.

TB Joshua's method of preaching and practice was more or less the same as other churches in Nigeria where the sick got cured, problems addressed among other issues.

Although the religious leader boasted an avid following, Prophet T.B. Joshua also had his share of critics who dismissed him as a charlatan and fraudster.

Some parties had cast doubts over his ‘miracle powers’ that saw him attract mammoth crowds whenever he had a mega rally.

Through his touch, congregants would fall down in what he described as casting out demons from the inflicted.

Non-believers have termed his work as a ‘sham’ and even called him a ‘fake’ preacher.

PDP To Buhari: Tell Nigerians Why You Cancelled London Trip
* Tasks President on fixing Nigerian hospitals[Image: Buhari-seeks-new-N2.342tr-external-loan....C400&ssl=1]

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to come clean on the real reason he rescheduled his medical trip to London at the last-minute.

The party’s position is amidst increasing international disapprovals to the escalated human right violations, constitutional breaches, clampdown on citizens, suppression of free speech and other excesses by the Buhari administration, for which there have been concerted demands for travel restrictions against officials of the Buhari administration.

The national publicity secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement, said while the President is left to sort out whatever impediments or constraints that led to the sudden cancellation of his scheduled medical trip, the opposition party urged him to use the period to have some introspection on the sorry situation in which his incompetent, divisive, vindictive and suppressive administration has pushed the nation into in the last six years.

“Our party urges President Buhari to use this period to reflect on the suffering of millions of Nigerians who do not have access to foreign medical treatment, but who are dying on daily basis because of his failure to pay attention to our healthcare system, which has become decrepit under his watch.

“In his consideration, Mr. President must also reflect on how he has wrecked our country’s once robust economy that was handed over to him in 2015 by the PDP, to the extent that Nigerians can no longer afford to feed because their purchasing power has become depressingly low while he (Mr. President) recedes further into the luxury and the safety of the Aso Rock Villa at the expense of the well-being of the ordinary citizens.

“It is indeed heartrending that President Buhari appears to think of himself only even as Nigerians pass through these worst forms of hardship occasioned by his own misrule.

“Nigerians are also dismayed that Mr. President has consistently failed to honour his pre-2015 campaign promise not to embark on medical tourism if elected President.

“President Buhari therefore ought to be aware that the only condition in which history will be kind to him, as he has always wished, is if he honours his own words as well as use this period to resolve the impasse between the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and his administration, fix our hospitals and confront other challenges facing the health sector in our country.”

Efia Odo and14 other #FixTheCountry campaigners granted bail

Actress Efia Odo and 14 other #FixTheCountry campaigners have been granted bail after being arrested by the police at a Ghanaian court earlier today.

LIB reported that they were arrested after they arrived the court to witness the final ruling on a lawsuit instituted by the Ghana Police Service who sought for an injunction to stop #FixTheCountry campaigners from going ahead with their protest.

Though why they were arrested is still unclear at the moment, the Ghanaian has however confirmed their release by sharing a photo of her and other campaigners, revealing they were granted bail.

Also speaking to JoyNews, Efia said she and the other protestors were outside taking pictures while waiting for the court to deliver a ruling at 1:30 pm.

Expressing her disappointment, she noted that it is unlawful for personnel of the Ghana Police Service to prevent the campaigners from exercising their constitutional right as citizens.

She said;

Quote:“I was inside the courtroom and the judge called for a recess that we should come back at 1:30 to get our final verdict. So, as I came outside, obviously a lot of campaigners were outside to support and they wanted to take pictures.
“I am a public figure and they wanted to show their support. A lot of commotion was going on and all of a sudden we see police come with their guns as if we were criminals and they just aggressively pulled us in."

Lawyers of the campaigners have however refused to disclose the conditions for the bail granted as well as give any further update on the matter.

Meanwhile, an Accra High Court has dismissed an injunction application by the Ghana Police Service, seeking to restrain a street protest by #FixTheCountry campaigners.

Businessman prevented from fleeing to the US after being accused of defrauding GTBank of N125m in Lagos

The Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned one Andrew Warri before Justice Sherifah Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a seven count charge bordering on stealing, obtaining by false pretence and issuance of dud cheques.

Warri was arraigned on Friday, June 25, 2021, alongside two companies: A.M. Projects Consultancy Limited and Ranez Medical Consultancy Limited.

One of the counts reads: "Andrew Warri, A.M. Projects Consultancy Limited, sometime in May 2012 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, fraudulently obtained the sum of N125,000,000 from Guaranty Trust Bank Plc under the guise that the proceeds of the Rural Health Care and Referral contract with Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will be domiciled in your account with Guaranty Trust Bank, the said pretense you knew, or ought to have known is false."

Another count reads: "Andrew Warri, Ranez Medical Consultancy Limited, on or about 28th October 2018 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, issued a Zenith Bank cheque for the sum of N10,000,000 payable to A.M. Projects Consultancy Limited, in favour of Guaranty Trust Bank, which upon presentation for payment was dishonoured on the grounds that no sufficient funds were standing to your credit."

He pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

Thereafter, prosecuting counsel, Franklin Ofoma, prayed the Court for a date for commencement of trial, as the prosecution was ready to prove its case against the defendants.

Nelson Imoh, counsel for Warri, informed the Court that the bail application for his client was before the Court.

Ofoma, however, vehemently opposed the application for bail in his oral argument.

He argued that the defendant was a flight risk, as he had resisted when operatives of the EFCC went to his office to effect his arrest.

"His arrest was aborted and the EFCC had to watch list the defendant with the DSS, Immigrations, Customs and other local and international law enforcement agencies, just to ensure his attendance," he said.

According to Ofoma, the defendant was about to take off to the United States, but in the process, he was informed that he could not travel as he was on a watch list.

Thereafter, Justice Solebo ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Correctional facility pending release on bail and adjourned the case till July 1, 2021.

BBNaija reunion: TolaniBaj reveals she and Prince had s3x after the show; says she regrets it because it was ''wack'' (video)

The BBNaija lockdown reunion took a different turn on Friday with TolaniBaj revealing she and Prince got intimate after they left the show.

Recall that during the show, TolaniBaj and Prince were seemingly an item. After the show, she said they hooked up and had sex and that the intimacy is something she regrets because it was wack. According to her, she expected more from Prince

Quote:''The intimacy happened because I was feeling Prince at the time and I 100% regret it. And it was wack by the way. I really expected more from somebody that carried shoulder like this. You should have impressed me but you didn't''she said

Prince on his part confirmed that they indeed had sex. He said he later made it clear to TolaniBaj that they were not an item and that there was no ''PriBaj'', the name coined for their relationship by their fans. He said the only thing he regrets in his life is his ''relationship'' with TolaniBaj.

During the show, Tolani also revealed that Prince and Lilo kissed. According to her, this was after the all-white party they had when the show ended. She said she felt disrespected by their action.

Responding to Tolani's comment, Lilo said

Quote:''The Saturday party came, everyone was at the party. I was drunk and he was in the bus and he was like come sit with me. The funny thing is that that night, Tolani was actually there and Eric was actually sitting next to him, He was holding me so I kissed him and he was no Lilo stop, don't do that.  It didn't even last five seconds because he actually stopped me.''

Helicopter Carrying Colombia's President Ivan Duque Struck By Bullets In Attack

Quote:A helicopter carrying Colombia's President Ivan Duque and others was struck by multiple bullets in an attack on Friday, he said in a video message.

The incident took place while the president's helicopter was flying through Colombia's Catatumbo region toward the city of Cucuta, capital of the country's Norte de Santander province, Duque said.

"What's clear is that this is a cowardly attack where bullet holes can be seen in the presidential aircraft," Duque said.

As well as Duque, the helicopter was carrying other officials including Defense Minister Diego Molano, Interior Minister Daniel Palacios, and governor of Norte de Santander Silvano Serrano.

No one was injured in the incident, a spokesman for the presidency said.

Security personnel have been given clear instructions to find those behind the attack on the helicopter, the president added.

The troubled Catatumbo region, on Colombia's border with Venezuela, is home to extensive coca crops, the chief ingredient of cocaine. It is where guerrillas of the leftist National Liberation Army (ELN) operate, former FARC fighters who reject a 2016 peace deal with the government, along with armed criminal groups involved in drug trafficking.

This month a car bomb was detonated at a military base used by the 30th Army Brigade in Cucuta, injuring Colombian troops and U.S. military advisers.

While Molano said the attack could have been carried out by the ELN, the rebel group said it denied having any role in the bombing
