Morning Devotional for Wednesday 27th February
#1
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

WEDNESDAY, 27TH FEBRUARY.

THE ABILITY, FAVOUR, AND DIRECTION TO PROSPER.

And…I will bless thee…and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

There’re lots of beautiful definitions for the word “blessing” or the infinitive, “bless”; one of them is the invocation of the ability, favour, and direction to prosper. When you’re blessed, the ability to prosper is invoked in your life; it’s inherent in you and works all the time. You have the ability to succeed, such that anything that concerns you turns out excellently.

The invocation of favour means divine favour works in your life in a way that even your detractors are compelled to favour you. Even when you’re not interested in certain privileges that are yours, or don’t have enough information to desire them, that divine favour causes them to come to you. How important it is for you to recognise, and walk in this consciousness!

The third element in our definition of blessing is the direction to prosper. That’s equally so powerful, because when that’s invoked in your life, you find that you’re always at the centre of God’s perfect will; you go in the right direction, for the right purpose, and at the right time. Even when you don’t have a clue, that divine power of blessing causes you or literally places you in the centre of God’s will.

There’re people who always get into trouble; there seems to be something working in them to get them into trouble; but not you! You’re the blessed of the Lord. There’s a divine elixir working in you, that steers you away from trouble and keeps you on the path of life; on the path of divine destiny.

When you’re blessed, your steps are always ordered of the Lord. You become a problem solver. Blessings begin to flow as soon as you enter a place! You’re always just on time to be favoured and directed in the way of prosperity. These elements of blessing don’t work sometimes only; they work continuously, without fail. Become conscious that in you are the ability, favour, and direction to prosper, because you’re the blessed of the Lord. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

I’m a package of blessings. I’ve received the invocation of the ability, favour, and the direction to prosper. My steps are ordered of the Lord; I’m at the right place at the right time, meeting the right people, and doing the right things. I’m always at the centre of God’s perfect will. Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY:

Deuteronomy 28:3-6 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the field. 4 Blessed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed [shall be] thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.

Numbers 6:22-24 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: WEDNESDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2019

THEME: NO FOOD FOR LAZY MAN.

MEMORISE:

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10

READ: Proverbs 6:4-11

4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

MESSAGE

Laziness can be defines as the attitude of being unwilling to work or dissipate energy in the pursuit of a goal. It can also be viewed as an attribute of a idle, slow or sluggish person. The Bible describes some characteristics of a lazy person which are important for us to consider today. As revealed in Proverbs 6:9, the first notable characteristic of a lazy person is the love for sleep. Lazy people find it convenient to spend the better part of the day sleeping, and when they finally get out of bed, they do as little work as possible. Proverbs 6:10-11 cites excessive sleep as the source of a lazy man’s poverty, saying:

“Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Lazy people generally lack initiative. They won’t do any work unless they are forced, and they can’t work without supervision. For such people, when their supervisor is away, they resume late at work and leave before the normal closing hours. They always work at the minimum level, and have mastered the art of making excuses to avoid work. Whenever you question lazy people about their work ethics, they usually have must to offer in the form of excuses. Lazy people are more often than not out in search of easy money. They hope to get rich with minimal effort, and so they are constantly seeking for ways to circumvent God’s way of making money through diligence and hard work. Lazy people are dreamers who nurse hopes of bailout by Government, family or friends, even before starting any venture.

A lazy person is highly destructive by nature. He is a waster and a poor manager of materials, financial and human resources. A lazy person usually ends up destroying precious things such as time, income, opportunities, marriage and family relationships. Because of this, lazy people are bound to suffer many regrets later in life. They will be forced to think of their unfulfilled ambitions, wasted opportunities and unsatisfied desires. They will crave things that they no longer have the means of getting. A lazy man usually ends up being ridiculed in his family and disgraced in the community. God disciplines lazy people by allowing them to experience the consequences of their foolishness, with the hope that they will learn wisdom through their poverty. These are just a few of the severe consequences reserved for lazy people. May the Lord deliver the body of Christ and our nation from idleness and laziness in Jesus’ Name.

ACTION POINT:

Examine yourself to see if you possess any of the attributes of a lazy person and quickly adjust your life.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 14-15

Isaiah 49:1-12

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 5: LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU.

1.While passing thro' this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Refrain:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life's a book before their eyes,
They're reading it thro' and thro'
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?

Refrain

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

Refrain

Good morning Brothers and Sisters....TODAY IS WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 2019 DAY 27 of ODM devotional booklet for the Champions:

Topic: DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL -1
(EPHESIANS 3:2-13).

Welcome to today’s devotion! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that you have failed many times before. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. That was failure! You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim (In fact, in class 2 primary school, I drowned and was declared ‘dead’ for about 1 hour, but today I am a fantastic swimmer). The first time I started learning how to drive an automobile, I removed the front wall of my father’s garage.

It was a disaster, but today I can drive even a heavy-duty tractor. The first time I tried to market this vision/ booklet, I was told that it would never work, but today, by the grace of God, we are affecting lives daily all the continents of the world. Those who turned us down then, are among those marketing thousands of copies per edition today.

What the Lord is still saying to you today is: “DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL AND DON’T STAY AT YOUR POINT OF FAILURE/ MISTAKE BECAUSE FAILURE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE A FAILURE.” It is better to have tried to climb a mountain and fallen/ failed than to live in the deceitful comfort of the plain. It is better to have fought and demonstrated your courage even if you failed than to live in the paradise of timid souls. He who tries and fails may be the founder of a better day and become the way for weaker souls!

Use today’s devotional to forgive yourself for that big mistake/ failure of the past. Have you ever seen a man/ woman God used mightily without initial failure? Check it out – from Adam to Moses through Malachai, to the generation of the Apostles (for example, Paul in today’s scripture). The same story line is what you will see. Failure is the father of fortune! I do not think any human has failed as much as I have done on this planet, but today, heaven’s mercy is making a difference in many lives with my little ‘dusty’ life.

Hear Tommy Lasuda: “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man’s determination.” Hear Albert Hubert: “A failure is a man who has blundered, but he is not capable of cashing in on the experience.” Refuse to be one! Move on with determination! This is your year –fro m STORY to GLORY!

ODM WHEREVER YOU GO! ODM MOBILE APP COMING OUT SOON! It contains 8 intrnational languages! It is a bang against HELL!

PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 3: My faith looks up…..

1. Thank God for the Word. Pray about it as it affects you.

2. Repent from looking down on yourself in the past.

3. Paul was a man soaked in life’s initial mistakes, yet God made him a pool of grace! Lord, grant me the grace to turn this mistakes/ failure into a stepping stone (Mention it now if any…..).

4. Satan, you cannot hold me to ransom again. I refuse to be cast down by the following past failures/ mistakes of my life/ ministry (Mention them again………). Pray about today as led.

Seed of Destiny

Wednesday,  27th February

TOPIC: KEYS TO FULFILLING DESTINY

SCRIPTURE: This I say then: Walk in the Spirit,"and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5":16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You will never reach your destiny until you stretch your potential.
God’s original intention for creating us is to fulfil His purpose for our lives. The fulfilment of God’s purpose for our lives is the fulfilment of destiny. A life lived according to God’s purpose is a destiny fulfilled. Therefore,"it is important to know what we must do in order to fulfil God’s purpose for our lives.
Now, what are the keys to fulfilling destiny?

1. Absolute surrender to the Holy Spirit.
Allow the Holy Spirit to take over your life. You need Him to empower your will so that you will be able to do what you want to do in line with His purpose.
2. Learn to deny yourself.
You must learn to say ‘NO’ to the flesh. You must learn to tell your flesh to do what your spirit wants it to do. When the mind is made up, anything is possible. You can only get the best of your mind when you allow it to work. You will never be able to reach your destiny until you stretch your potential.
3. Surround your life with disciplined people.
Let serious-minded people be your friends (Proverbs 27":17).If you are surrounded with unserious and undisciplined people who lack self-control,"your life will also turn out exactly the same way as theirs. Wrong information from the wrong association can affect your life negatively.
Beloved, make up your mind to fulfil God’s purpose for your life by being absolutely surrendered to the Holy Ghost. Deny yourself and surround yourself with disciplined people.
Remember this": You will never reach your destiny until you stretch your potential.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Consciously bring your will under the control of the Holy Spirit.
2. Deny yourself the wrong things of life and associate only with people who are disciplined.
FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING,"GET THIS MESSAGE": DEADLY ENEMIES OF DESTINY.

PRAYER: O Lord,"give me the grace to deny myself the wrong things of life. Help me to be totally yielded to the leading of the Spirit, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
AMAZING FACT": Some grasses have the potential of hearing human voices and responding to the voices appropriately.
DAILY READING: Leviticus 20:22 to 22:16,"Mark 9":1 to 29,"Psalm 43":1 to 5,"Proverbs 10":18.
TODAY IN HISTORY: 27/02/1999 - Nigeria returned to civilian rule when Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo was elected president.
QUOTE: When the rate at which a person masters and conquers his flesh increases, the rate of his progress also increases. Culled from 21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO by Dr Paul Enenche.

THE LIVING WATER

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

TOPIC: WHAT IS YOUR PETITION?
Read: 1 Samuel 1:11-27

MEMORISE: We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions (Psalm 20:5).

EXPOSITION

The topic for the Living Water dose for today is the question one particular king asked one of his subjects in the Bible. At the banquet of wine the king said to Esther, "What is your petition? It shall be granted you…’’ (Est. 5:6). Being a king who had everything at his disposal in his jurisdiction, he was asking Esther to place her petition before him.

The king was speaking with royal influence that if she could only ask, it would be given to her. We are serving the King of all kings, who created the heavens and the earth. He owns everything. With Him all things are possible (Matt. 19:26). He is all-powerful, all-knowing God and very present help in trouble (Psa. 46:1; 139:1-15). Nothing is too hard for Him (Gen. 18:14). He has everything at His disposal in heaven and exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or even think (Eph. 3:20).

The same question is coming out to you now from your King: what is your petition? From the biblical point of view, petition means an earnest request. It is a request made for something desired, especially a respectful or humble request as to a superior or somebody in authority. In a legal term, petition means an official document asking a court to take a particular course of action. Any request made of God, Is thus a petition. Any time you come before God with your specific request, you are writing a petition to the supreme court of heaven (cf. 2 Sam. 15:31; 2 Chro. 20:1-17).

Added to other forms of prayer, including thanksgiving, confession, and intercession, is petition, which means to specifically request or ask for something in particular from God (Phi. 4:6). The prayer of Hannah is an example of petition as she ask God for a boy (1 Sam 1:11). In verse 17, Eli, the high priest, responded, Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.

What are your own petitions? God expects you to humbly ask Him in your prayers (Matt. 7:7; Jn. 14:14, 16-24).

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, give me grace to put my trust in You in my daily prayers.
2. Father, I ask for power of prevailing prayers, in the name of Jesus.
3. Pray for all the Christians homes to learn the way of daily prayer to make their needs known to God
