RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY, 25TH JANUARY.

YOU HAVE ALL THINGS IN HIM.

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s (1 Corinthians 3:21-23).

The Bible says we’re joint-heirs with Christ, which means everything He owns also belongs to you. He shares everything with you, including His Name. No wonder He said in Colossians 3:17, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” He gave you His Name to live in. What could be more than that?

As a joint-heir with Him, you’re a co-sharer in His ownership of the world. Now you can further understand why there’s really nothing for you to be praying and asking God for, except to intercede for others, and fellowship with Him. Prayer has a whole different meaning with the knowledge that you already have all that you require for life and godliness.

Some Christians are always professing their needs, rather than affirming the Word of God concerning their wealth and prosperity. “Oh God, I need a house; I need a car; I need this and I need that”; that’s not the way. All you needed was Christ who now lives in you; and Christ is everything! He has everything, and has given you everything.

Therefore, let His Word mould your thinking and give you a new mentality. You own the world. Come to this level of thinking! The Bible tells us to trust “…in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). Ephesians 1:3 declares, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

God already blessed you with every blessing that exists in Christ. Health, prosperity, victory, success, joy, peace and every blessing of God is already yours. Live with that consciousness.

CONFESSION

The Lord is my shepherd, and I have everything good: health, promotions, increase, abundance and wealth. I’ve been blessed to be a blessing, and I walk in the light and reality of my heritage in Christ. Amen

Dear Father, I thank you for your glory that’s revealed in my life. I thank you also for beautifying me with your grace and giving me a life of endless peace and prosperity. I am functioning excellently through the power of the Holy Spirit, who live and

pilots me from glory to glory. The anointing I’ve received of the Lord abides in me forever, and that anointing teaches me all things and makes me fruitful and productive in every endeavour. I go forth today by the anointing to influence and impact my world for the Gospel, in Jesus’Name. Amen!

11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and showing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.

13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?

14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.

15 And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not show the interpretation of the thing:

16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

MESSAGE

In His omniscience, our God has chosen not to endow His spiritual gifts on many of His children and ministers, even though they earnestly desire and seek these with fasting, prayer and long periods of waiting upon Him. His refusal is because He knows they will make merchandise of His gifts, and He does not want them to face the damnation that will follow. The Holy Spirit warns us concerning this in 2 Peter 2:3:

“And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ in today's memory verse laid bare His principles for operating in spiritual gifts, saying, "Freely ye have received, freely give." Contrary to this principle, some ministers of God are merchandising the gospel in order to meet their personal needs. Beloved, if you belong to this category of people, I advise that you repent, because it is better not to preach than to preach for money. Whoever is in contention with this truth should read the story of Gehazi over and over again in 2 Kings 5:16-27.

Daniel was an upright prophet of God who chose not to make gain from his prophetic office. Even though he was offered great riches and political appointment if he could read the writing on the wall and tell its interpretation, he declined these gifts. In Daniel 5:17, he said:

“…Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.”

In other words, Daniel was saying "My prophetic gift is not for sale." Faced with a similar circumstance, Peter said to Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8:20:

“…Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.”

This is the character that our Lord wants to see in those who minister before Him and among His people. The mentality of merchandising the gift of God must be discouraged in the Church of God today. May God help His ministers to keep to the ethics of their calling in Jesus' Name.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please deliver the ministers of Your gospel all over the world from greed that may cause them to merchandise Your spiritual gifts.

God will bypass millions and show you special favour today! Amen! Genesis 46:28 says: “And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.” This day and this year, the Lord shall send His ministering angels and divine helpers to escort you into your Goshen where you will show forth His glory. THE LORD WANTS THE WORLD TO SEE HIS GOODNESS THROUGH YOU and that is why you must never be ashamed of your story! It will inspire others! Scripturally speaking, darkness connotes affliction, trouble, sorrow, shame, reproach and satanic bondage, etc. 1John 1:5 says: “…God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” I prophesy: From today and in this 21-day prayer programme, whatever represents darkness in and around your life, family, ministry, job, career, business and destiny shall SCATTER in all directions from your address!

I prophesy again: In this STORY TO GLORY year, Jehovah shall disgrace every Pharaoh keeping you in any form of bondage with misery, pain, sorrow and anguish by fire! While there was light in GOSHEN, the whole nation was in DARKNESS (Exodus 10:23b)!

GOSHEN IS A LAND OF “LIFE OUTSIDE THE CROWD.” The LORD will make you UNCOMMON this year! He will take you from the crowd this year! He will make you OUTSTANDING this year! There is still a land called GOSHEN in every country today! It is where God is taking your career, business, marital story, health and finances to this year! Yes! TOPIC: BEING DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS

SCRIPTURE": And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,"choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell": but as for me and my house,"we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24":15.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.
Sometime ago,"one of my children who was a student in the university stood up for God when her lecturer spoke against God. The lecturer kept talking against God and church; he said things like people who serve God are wasting their time, etc. Then she stood up and said, ‘Excuse me sir! You are entitled to your opinion, but please, respect the opinions of those of us who believe in Jesus Christ; respect the views and the conviction of those of us who believe in God.’ 

Then the man said, ‘Oh, I am sorry.’ After the lecture, he met her and told her, ‘What you said in the class was right. I am not meant to be talking about religion in class. Please, anytime I say it again, you can report me to the authorities of the school.’

This is a practical example of being different from others. There are people who keep quiet when God, pastors, Christianity and the church are being ridiculed. They keep quiet when people say all manner of ‘rubbish’ against God and pastors; they keep quiet and pretend as if they know nothing about God in case the people insult them also.

Some years ago, my mother was in a vehicle going to a place and someone began to criticize pastors and the church; the person said something like, ‘All these pastors that gather people together do that only to get their money.’ Then, my mother vehemently replied the person and said, ‘Go and try to gather people and see if gathering people is easy.’ Beloved, standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.

My counsel is, make up your mind to take a stand for God always.
Remember this": standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Decide to stand out for God in all that you do.
2. Take a stand for God even if it is not convenient for you.

PRAYER: O Lord,"I ask that You give me the grace to stand for You at all times. Help me to be the representative of Your Kingdom on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: PUT YOUR ANGER UNDER CONTROL

Read: Exodus 29:5-7
MEMORISE: Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath (Ephesians 4:26).

EXPOSITION

Handling anger is an important life skill. Anger can shatter communication and tear apart relationships, and it can ruin both joy and health of many people. Nevertheless, anger is not always sin. There is a type of anger of which the Bible approves, often called, “righteous indignation”. God is angry (psalm 7:11; Mark 3:1-5). Believers are allowed to be angry, but our anger should not lead us into sin (Eph. 4:26-27). Biblically, anger is God-given energy intended to help us solve problems.

We can know for sure that our anger or indignation is righteous when it is directed towards what angers God Himself. Righteous anger is justly expressed when we are confronted with sin. When Jesus got angry with the money-changers in the temple, or the self-serving Pharisees, it was because they were exploiting religion instead of using it to bring people closer to God (Matt. 2:1). Anger has turned to sin when we begin to attack the wrong doer instead of attacking the problem at hand. It also becomes sin when it is allowed to boil over without restraint, resulting in a scenario in which hurt is multiplied, leaving devastation in its wake. Often, the consequences of out-of-control anger are irreparable. For instance, when Jacob was saying his last words to his sons, he pronounced a course upon the anger of Simon and Levi. He did so not because indignation against sin us unwarrantable in itself, but because their wrath was marked by deeds of fierceness and cruelty. 

“Cursed be their anger for it was fierce. And their wrath, for it was cruel!” (Vs7).
The anger of these two brothers was sinful anger in the nature of it, and so criminal and detestable; it was strong, fierce, and furious in its operation and effects, and so justly cursed. Their anger was issued in the cruel and barbaric slaughter of the inhabitants of Shechem. (Gen. 34:25-30). It was execrable and abominable, both before God and men, such as deserved and brought the curse of God upon themselves. God said, “I will divide them in Israel” (v.7). What God said about them eventually came to pass. The anger you fail to control, will control you, and it can ruin your life and put your destiny in danger. Be warned!

PRAYER POINTS

1. Set me free, Oh lord, from slavery to the spirit of anger.
2. Lord, give me capacity to manage and control my emotion in time of provocation.
3. Lord, heal the couples who have emotional problem of short temperament in Jesus’ name.
