Wednesday 26TH SEPTEMBER.

SPEED OF THE HOLY GHOST.

And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel (1 Kings 18:46).

There’s such a thing as the speed of the Holy Ghost, where you achieve and accomplish things supernaturally. It’s part of the ministry of the Holy Ghost in our lives: He causes us to accomplish feats that are beyond human comprehension, and in record time.

For example, after the Holy Ghost came on the Apostles, on their first day of evangelism, three thousand souls were won and added to the Church (Acts 2:41)! During their next outreach, five thousand men (women and children not counted) were added to the Church (Acts 4:4). These were supernatural achievements; divine speed in operation.

Today, it’s even greater, because the Bible says the glory of this latter house shall surpass the former (Haggai 2:9). We’re moving with the speed of the Holy Ghost to accomplish extraordinary results for the Kingdom. The Bible says, “For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness…” (Romans 9:28).


If you have a project to accomplish, do it with God’s power and speed. You say, “Father, I have this project; I’m going to do it by the power of the Holy Ghost; it’ll be excellent, it’ll be on time, and it’ll create more opportunities for me and others to accomplish greater things for the Kingdom, in the mighty Name of Jesus!”

It’s a new day; it’s the day of the Lord’s power, and great things are happening with us, to us, and through us. We read in our opening verse that Elijah outran Ahab’s chariot. Those horses were the most sophisticated, the best and fastest horses in Israel, because they were the King’s at a time in which horses were required for war.

The glory of the Lord is in your spirit, placing you far ahead of your detractors, competitors, and adversaries. Blessed be God!

CONFESSION

I’m flying on eagle’s wings; I run with the ability of the Spirit, and I’m never weary. The accuracy and precision of the Spirit are working in me mightily; I see the invisible and do the impossible! Glory to God!

I affirm that I am an heir of God, and joint-heir with Christ. The Father has made me the first and the best of everything He created. I am the perfection of beauty, fashioned for excellence.

My life is the manifestation of the Father’s glorious and majestic splendour; I display His perfections and unveil His multifaceted wisdom to the world. God’s purpose for my life is established in my heart. I live to fulfil my destiny in Christ, taking a hold of the divine vision and revelation to bring Him glory. My mind is stayed on the Word, and I have peace in my spirit! I am at peace in every situation, for Christ is my peace. I live and walk in peace, every day of my life. I refuse to be a victim of the system because I am born of God, everything about my life is infused with divinity and speaks of God’s glory.

I am not ordinary; for greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world! The life of God is operational in every fibre of my being. My faith is alive and as I demonstrate my faith today, circumstances bow to me; obstacles are eliminated, and I walk in supernatural success and prosperity. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

*SEEDS OF DESTINY*

*THE POWER THAT ENFORCES CHANGE*

SCRIPTURE: And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you do not resist will persist.

It has been established that change, like every other phenomenon, is brought about by force. There is a force behind every change; nothing changes on its own. Every change experienced in life is powered by a force. Situations change when people decide to enforce a change.

That is why Jabez, from our anchor Scripture, did not just sit down and wait for things to change in his life. His life and situation could not have changed if he did nothing about them.
I once heard God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo say, ‘What you don’t want, you don’t watch.’ I can imagine Jabez say, ‘I don’t want this miserable life and I will not continue to watch it. I want the situations of my life to change so I have to go to God and place a demand for a drastic change.’

Please note this: what you do not resist will persist; whatever you do not resist will remain.

What Jabez did was what Jacob also decided to do. When Jacob saw the situation of his life, he decided to pray about it. He also determined to fight it out (Genesis 32:24).

Beloved, you need a fighter spirit to change your destiny. Destiny changes when responsibility for change is accepted. When you make up your mind for change to occur, when you make up your mind to pray about it, then the change must happen.

Remember this: What you do not resist will persist.

1. Accept the responsibility of effecting changes in the relevant areas of your life.
2. Take your burdens to the Lord in prayer.
3. Never quit the fight for your fulfilment in life and destiny.

Read: Nehemiah 4:1-15 (KJV)
1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall , he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
4 Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:
5 And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.
6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
7 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.
10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
11 And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.
12 And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.
13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us , and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

Message:-
I want you to see today’s topic as a prophetic word from God coming to you with power. You may be wondering, “What is it that shall not stand?” The counsel of the wicked against you shall not stand in Jesus’ Name.

In this regard, there are many lessons to be learnt from Nehemiah and his team of builders. It is amazing that there are people who are opposed to good things in life, but the good news is that for those who know the true God, the counsel of the wicked will never stand.

When Nehemiah got to know of the conspiracy hatched by Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabians and their other devilish allies like the Ammonites and Ashdodities, he called for prayer. Nehemiah 4:9 says:

“ Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.”

Beloved, if your suffering must cease and the conspiracies of the wicked against you must no longer stand, you must learn to pray.
Furthermore, observe that Nehemiah set a watch, day and night, against the evil conspirators. Jesus told the disciples in Mark 14:38 to watch and pray. Nehemiah and his team did not watch alone, because they knew that

“except the Lord keep the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain” Psalm 127:1.

At the same time, they did not pray alone; they also watched. Very often, children of God fail in the area of watching. They are carefree, but this is not the will of God for our lives. God wants us to be vigilant, so that together with Him, we will continue to frustrate the counsel of the wicked. In addition, Nehemiah also did something strategic, as seen in Nehemiah 4:16-17:

“And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons ; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah. They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, everyone with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.”

There was precise division of labour, with everyone knowing his or her responsibility. Everyone of them also had their weapon of war ready, even as they engaged in the work of building. To frustrate the counsel of the wicked, we must be sensitive to the Spirit always and be ready to engage in spiritual warfare at all times.

Beloved, let us comfort ourselves in such a way that our Father in heaven will know that we mean business, and He will not allow the counsel of the wicked against our destiny and our endeavours to stand in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:
Father, strengthen my hands in battle and frustrate the counsel of my enemies.
