TOPIC: THANKSGIVING: A SECRET OF SUPERNATURAL ABUNDANCE.
SCRIPTURE: And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. John 6:11
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Appreciation is a major secret of supplies and abundance in the glory.
Our anchor scripture makes it clear that thanksgiving provokes supernatural supplies. The lifestyle of gratitude is key to accessing supernatural supplies.
In John 6:11-12, when Jesus saw the five loaves and two fishes, he lifted them up and gave thanks and they multiplied. This shows how important it is to be tirelessly grateful to God.
Some years ago, I told my father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo that there was so much to do for God – things like church expansion and planting but what was coming in seemed not to be enough to do the things that needed to be done for God. Then he looked at me and asked, “What came in on Sunday, what did you buy or sell for it to come in?” I said, “Nothing.”
Then he said, “Alright. If you are not responsible for how it came, you didn’t buy or sell, yet it came, then you have to be tirelessly grateful to God for the flow to be sustained. If you are tirelessly grateful, God will multiply the inflow”. What a counsel!
Following this counsel, I told our finance officers that anytime they are sorting out inflow, they should do it praising God because Jesus praised God on what was in His Hands (John 6:11). And it multiplied.
Beloved, in your own personal resources, don’t compare yourself with another person. Rather, tell God, “Lord, I appreciate you for my level. There are those who don’t have anything at all. Thank You for this one bedroom apartment. There are those who are looking for where to sleep”. And if your appreciation is confirmed, your elevation is guaranteed.
