*TOPIC: PREPARATION FOR CHURCH GROWTH*
“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.” Acts 6:7
*MESSAGE*
Church growth comes with more responsibilities but this is not a license to compromise or misplace priorities. The early church was growing steadily but also needed to contain inherent challenges. The brethren thus chose seven men to administer the table, so that the Apostles could focus on teaching the word. The outcome was remarkable.
The chosen men were of good report; filled with the Holy Spirit; and full of wisdom. These criteria are fundamental to any profitable service in God's vineyard. The Apostles didn't give room for sentiments; we shouldn't either. Culture, emotions and civilization must never displace the Spirit of God in our choices. Hands that should come on board in God's vineyard should meet divine standards. Fortunately, the standards are attainable.
However, we must first build men and women who meet criteria for divine responsibilities. Qualified people don't just pop up in the church, they are consciously built through diverse (spiritual) investments over time. Are we ready?
*ACTION POINT*
?️ Endeavour to build capacity for future advancements.
*SCRIPTURES*
Acts 6:1-7; 12:24; 21:20
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Lord, thank You for continually building Your church.
2. I declare growth in all ramifications into my local assembly in the name of Jesus.
3. Father let your Spirit guide our leaders for divinely inspired spiritual appointments.
