*RESTORATION TODAY*
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2020
*TOPIC: THE TEACHER OF TEACHERS*
“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1
*MESSAGE*
Sincere learning requires honesty, humility and hard work. No matter how we try to spy, observe or imitate, our mastery cannot be excellent. We must, therefore, be prepared to learn from the one who knows, whether spiritual or secular. We must have genuine zeal, be humble in our approach and give the dedication it deserves.
The disciples directly approached the Master to learn how to pray; this should motivate us to humbly ask the same Master on any issue. The scriptures and the Holy Spirit will complement our efforts, once we are ready to learn.
Let's shun pride and self righteousness. Wisdom, knowledge, revelation and understanding are God's prerogatives. You want to learn; you've got to first admit you don't know. Imitation, observation and understudying have their limitations. Be a proud perpetual pupil of the Lord; approach Jesus the Great Teacher daily for (new) knowledge.
*ACTION POINT*
?️ Be ready and willing to learn from God every day.
*SCRIPTURES*
Psalm 10:17; 19:14; Romans 8:26-27
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank You for giving me Your Spirit to teach me.
2. Lord, humble me to learn from You in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, grant me the understanding of Your teachings for my development and success in the name of Jesus.
*THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR*
2 Kings 23, Lam. 3, 1 Timothy 6
