Oshoala Marks Her 26th Birthday By Scoring A Brace As Barca Beat Sevilla 6-0.[/b]
Asisat Oshoala gave herself an early birthday present yesterday night by scoring a brace as Barcelona beat Sevilla 6-0 to qualify for the final of the Queen's Cup.
The victory presents Barcelona with the opportunity to secure the first treble in Spanish women's football history. They won the first ever Supercopa earlier this year and were declared league champions during the lockdown and a victory against Legrono would make them Queen's Cup champions.
Frenetic start
Barcelona took control of the game from the blast of the whistle and they got an early lead when Patri recovered the ball and fed Oshoala who fired it into the goal to give Barca a 1-0 lead in the 4th minute.
The Blaugrana did not ease up the pressure and super winger, Caroline Graham Hansen put them 2-0 up on 18 minutes.
Barca hit the woodwork twice before Patri extended the lead off a corner kick on 21 minutes. Oshoala then got her second in the 38th minute to give Barca a 4-0 lead at half time.
Barca dominates
Vicky Losada came off the bench in the second half and immediately hit the woodwork as Barcelona continued to dominate the game.
Melanie Serano scored a stupendous goal straight from a corner kick in the 68th minute and Aitana sealed the victory in the 72nd minute to give Barca a 6-0 win at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
