SUNDAY, 9TH SEPTEMBER.

THE GLORY INSIDE YOU

And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered,and his raiment was white and glistering (Luke 9:28-29).

Isn’t it amazing that as Jesus prayed, such glory emitted and beamed forth from His spirit? This let's us know that the glory is within; it doesn't come from “heaven.” Some people pray and say, “O Lord, let your glory rest upon me”; that was in the old testament. In the New Testament, the glory is inside you; it doesn’t come from above.

The glory of God that Moses saw, the glory that came upon him, and rested on his countenance, is inside you. Actually, the glory in you is a greater glory. 2 Corinthians 3:10-11 says, “For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remains this glorious.” Notice the construction: “...the glory that excellent; that’s the glory of the Holy Spirit in us.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of glory; He’s the glory of the Father, and He lives in you in His fullness. Therefore, just as we read about Jesus in our opening verse, every time you pray in the spirit, something happens to your physical body; the glory beams from within your spirit, permeates your body, and affects everything around you.

Those around you may not see it, but it makes no difference; they don’t have to see it. What’s important is the impact of that glory on your life, on your physical body, and on your environment. This is why you must pray in the spirit often; that glory will rid your body of sickness and disease; and the depravities and problems that ravage the lives of others won’t affect you.

Ephesians 3:20 declares, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” The power that works in us refers to the glory within. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the awesome privilege of having the Holy Spirit live in me; He’s the glory of my life, and I take advantage of His glorious presence and power in me to bless my world! The glory of the Lord is revealed in, and through me today, and I'm transported into higher realms of blessings in the transcendent life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Bible Reading – Matthew 13:54-58
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Message:
Many times, we miss messages from God and the miracles that accompany them because we fail to look beyond the person that the Lord is working through. To experience the fullness of God, a wise child of God will give heed to the words of 2nd Chronicles 20:20, which says:

“… Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper."

Interestingly, it was a king, and not a prophet who gave this message. How beautiful this world would be if our rulers would admit, like king Nebuchadnezzar did, that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and He gives it to whomsoever he chooses Daniel 4:25-34.

In today’s memory verse, our Lord Jesus Christ said that if we receive even a child in His Name, we have received His Father who sent Him. Regardless of the age or status of a preacher, if you receive him or her in the Name of the Lord, whatever word the Lord has sent through that person will work for you.

Naaman would have lost his miracle If he had not looked beyond the fact that Prophet Elisha did not receive him personally, or the dirty River Jordan he was instructed to dip in 2nd kings 5: 9-14. The story of the man born blind in John chapter 9 also teaches us a great lesson.
This young man believed that Jesus came from God because God performed a miracle in his life through Him, and even though the Jews maligned Jesus Christ as a sinner, he refused to believe them John 9:24-25.

Because Jesus Christ grew up in their midst as brethren and countrymen, the citizens of Nazareth failed to see Him as anything more than the son of Joseph the carpenter, and for this reason, most of them missed their miracles. Matthew 13:58 says:

“And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

In order to help the people of His time to receive their blessings, Jesus often had to encourage them to look into the scriptures to confirm that what He was saying about Himself was true, and sometimes,He performed miracles to show that He was the Messiah Luke 4:17-21, Luke 7:19-22.

However, most of the people of His time could not look beyond his humanity. Beloved I encourage you to search the scriptures to ascertain the authenticity of any message and its messenger. Looking beyond the messenger and seeing God behind them will help your faith in the infallible word of God

Action point:
Like the Jews in Berea Acts 7:10-11, begin to search the scriptures to confirm whatever a preacher says: if it tallies with the scriptures believe and act on it for your own good.

TOPIC: FURTHER KEYS TO ACTIVATING FAITH

SCRIPTURE: By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Hebrews 11:8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until thought changes, actions and results can never change.

Yesterday, we looked at four ways in which faith can be activated: we saw that receiving faith instructions, accessing Word revelations, possessing heart conviction and releasing faith declarations are keys to the activation of faith.

In continuation of yesterday’s message, there is a need to look at further keys to activating faith.

Now, what are the other ways of activating our faith in God?

1. Operate Faith Mind-Set
To make faith work, we must operate the faith mind-set: the faith mind-set is a victory, dominion and superiority mind-set. The faith-mind-set is very important in the activation of faith because mentality determines reality. Until thought changes, actions and results can never change; it is thought quality that determines life's quality.

2. Maintain Faith Vision
What you see determines what you seize; what you picture determines what you capture; what crosses your mind determines what crosses your life; what is beyond your view is beyond your reach. Faith vision determines manifestations in life. Faith pictures a scripture and ventures to capture the reality of that picture.

3. Embark on Faith Actions
Identify and embark on faith actions. These are actions that line up with the Word of God; actions that confirm that you believe God’s Word, actions that portray your acceptance of scriptural responsibility.

4. Engage in Faith Praise
Faith is not in place until praise to God is expressed (Psalm 106:12). To believe God’s Word is to sing His praise. Faith praises God even when the results are not yet obvious.

Beloved, when you combine faith mind-set, faith vision, faith action with faith praise, you would see great results and manifestations in life.

Remember this: Until thought changes, actions and results can never change.

2. Engage in faith actions and praise.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask for the grace to operate the faith mind-set, cultivate faith vision, embark on faith actions and engage in faith praise in Jesus’ Name.

I affirm that I am the express image of the Father’s person and the out-shining of His glory! I am a sharer of His life and nature of righteousness. I am God’s perfection of beauty.
 
The fullness of God, with the totality of His power, dwells in me, and I am complete in Him. Hallelujah. Daily, I am framing my world and building my life on the foundation of success, victory, and prosperity! The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage! My portion is the right one! I don’t need to struggle for any good thing in life, because God is my chosen and assigned portion; He has brought me to a good place and maintains my lot.

 I rejoice because God has given me eternal life, and granted me the power of attorney to live in, and by the Name of Jesus! I celebrate the life of peace, glory, progress, prosperity, success, and victory He has brought me into. I can never be disadvantaged because God is the One at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
