RHAPSODY OF REALITIES


MONDAY, 27TH AUGUST.

FAITH: THE PRINCIPLE OF THE CHRISTIAN WALK.

…According as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3).

Faith is the principle of the Christian walk: “(For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). The Bible clearly emphasizes that without faith, it’s impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6). There’s no Christian that doesn’t have faith, as we’ve all received the same measure of faith, according to our opening verse. You only need to grow your measure of faith.

The Word reveals to us how to grow great and effectual faith. First, you have to stay continually in the Word; the Word stirs faith in your spirit: “...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). The more of God’s Word you hear, the more faith you’ll have. The less of God’s Word you receive into your spirit, the less faith you’ll be able to express when you’re faced with the challenges of life.

Your faith is also built as you consistently attend church services and fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:25). In church, you’re taught the Word, and you also enjoy the rich fellowship of the Spirit in a way that energises your faith. Howbeit, you must also express your faith. James 1:22 says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” You build prevailing faith by consistently meditating on, and putting the Word to work in your life.

Acting on the Word is faith expressed, and our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Faith that’s not expressed won’t prevail. Faith must always be with corresponding action: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26). So, always express your faith in words and actions.

Don’t cry or complain to God about your situation; act on the Word! Use your faith. Jesus said if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can tell a mountain to move, and it’ll obey you. The faith you have is enough; do something with it. Use it; it’s the currency for whatever you may desire. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The Word inspires faith in me to overcome challenges, and maintain my victorious life in Christ. The forces of righteousness, success, divine health, victory, and prosperity are activated in my life as I live in God’s Word, guided and inspired by divine wisdom to fulfil His perfect will for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

27TH AUGUST.

I affirm that I am growing in the knowledge of the Father, and the revelation of His son Jesus Christ fills my heart. My life is the testimony of God’s grace and goodness! Everywhere I go, and in everything I do, I experience peace, progress, increase, success, and prosperity.

The Word of God is in my heart in an increasing measure, and I am experiencing increased glory as I speak the Word over my life today! I am complete in Christ; there’s nothing missing or lacking in my life! Christ is my life and wisdom; therefore, I have an excellent spirit. I think differently because God’s Word has molded my thinking and given me the mindset of the righteous. Divine wisdom is heard in my words, and seen in my actions today! I function in God’s perfect will and have insight into the realities of the Kingdom.

Hallelujah! My life is filled with grace; there’s no man or institutions that will ever disfavor me. Before I ever show up, favour speaks loud for me. Hallelujah! My joy is boundless, knowing that it’s the Father’s delight to guide and lead me in the path of victory and success. I live in Christ and Christ is alive in me.

I am seated together with Him in the heavenly, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come. Blessed be God. Hallelujah!

THEME: EATING YOUR PARENT’S SOUR GRAPES

Memorise:
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father; neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18:20

29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity : every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people .

Message:-
One of the blessings of the cross of Jesus Christ is the removal of generational curses that have been the bane of mankind since the great fall of Adam and Eve. The Holy Spirit reveals this to us in
Colossians 2:14, saying:

“Blotting out the handwriting of
ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”

The work Jesus did on the cross of Calvary brought about the fulfilment of the prophecies that came through Ezekiel and Jeremiah in today’s memory verse and Bible reading. These prophecies foretold the nature and character of the New Covenant under which we are now operating.

I encourage you to take out time to read these prophesies in full, so that you will have a full understanding of your place in the New Testament under the Blood of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit through Prophet Jeremiah prophesied that a time would come when everyone living under a new covenant would be responsible for their own actions and inactions. The good news is that we live in that time.

Through the new covenant in the Blood of Jesus, we are empowered to individually live our lives to the glory of God and be accountable for the way we live our lives. Speaking on this new covenant in Hebrew 8:10, the Holy Spirit says:

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:”

Through this verse of Scripture, we understand that it is the Almighty God who helps us keep His new covenant through the Holy Spirit. This is an awesome provision which you must key into. With God’s help, we are also able to escape the impact of divine judgement invoked by parental sins. Nevertheless, we will not escape the consequences of our own sins if we continue in them.

The new covenant however opens the door of opportunity for God to wipe away and forget our sins as we confess and forsake them. Hebrews 8:12 says:

“For I will be merciful to their
unrighteousness , and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”

Even if some people are still experiencing the destructive power of generational curses, its evil effects can be rendered powerless over you by the new covenant. The Blood of the new covenant makes all the difference. Are you a partaker of the new covenant?

Action Point:
Confess and believe that you are now under the new covenant in the Blood of Jesus, for which reason no ancestral covenant can work against you or hold you bound.

*THE SPELL OF VISIONLESSNESS AND AIMLESSNESS*

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:2-3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse.

Our God is a God of vision and purpose; He created the heaven and the earth by the power of vision and purpose. There is a purpose for every creature He made on the earth; there is a purpose for man (Genesis 1:1, 28). There is a purpose for your life.

However, satan’s utmost desire is to make man not to become what God created him to be. One of his strategies of achieving this is to cast the spell of visionlessness or lack of vision on man.

Visionlessness is a situation where one does not know what to do with one’s life; a visionless person does not know in which direction to pour the energy of his life.
I would like you to take note of the following:
i) A life of no vision is a life of no future
Visionlessness equals futureless-ness; having no vision equals having no future. God told Abraham that as far as Abraham’s eyes could see, God would give unto him (Genesis 13:14); so, to see nothing is to get nothing. Your future is connected to your vision.

ii) The lack of vision equals the lack of a sense of urgency
When you see someone without vision, he has no sense of urgency. He is not in a hurry about anything; he may sit to watch television for hours aimlessly. A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse (Amos 6:1).

Beloved, my counsel is, avoid the spell of visionless and aimless existence by all means.

Remember this: A man without vision is at ease because he has no sense of urgency; and a man at ease is under a curse.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Avoid the spell of visionless-ness and aimlessness in life.
2. Ask God to show you why you are alive. Discover the reason for your existence and doggedly pursue it.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the spell of visionless-ness and aimlessness. Reveal to me Your purpose for my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
