FRIDAY, 17TH AUGUST.

CHRIST—YOUR WISDOM.

I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee (Daniel 5:14).

In the Old Testament, Daniel was celebrated as one who had an excellent spirit; he was blessed with excellent wisdom. Another example is King Solomon, who was esteemed as the wisest man that ever lived, until Jesus.

However, as much as we may admire the excellence and wisdom of Daniel and Solomon, we have something in the New Testament that they both didn’t have—Christ! He’s our wisdom.

Colossians 2:3 says in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. In other words, He’s the embodiment of all wisdom and knowledge. This same Christ, according to 1 Corinthians 1:30, has been made unto you wisdom: “But of him (God) are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom….” Therefore, in Christ, you have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

This is greater and better than what Solomon had. The One that gave Solomon wisdom, who is Himself wisdom, lives in you. When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, and He took up His abode in the quarters of your heart, Wisdom took up His abode in you.

Thus, not only has Jesus become your Saviour and Lord, He’s also your wisdom, meaning you’re sound, wise, sagacious, and perspicacious. Affirm it! Say, “Christ is my wisdom; therefore, I talk and deal wisely always; He directs my thinking. He has anointed my mind to receive sanctified thoughts; wisdom is seen and heard in me always!”

Live victoriously every day by taking advantage of the wisdom of God available to you in Christ Jesus. Through wisdom, you’ll know how to manage your home, your family, your business, finances, and everything about your life. Keep learning God’s Word, and avail yourself of the privileges and advantages of divine wisdom.

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the divine wisdom that’s been made available to me in Christ. My thoughts, words, and actions are anointed to produce excellence. I’m catapulted to a place of honour and promotion, through your wisdom that’s at work in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

17TH AUGUST.

I affirm that I am overwhelmed by the power of the Spirit as the Word of God comes forth through me in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs unto the Lord. The Word gains root in my heart and gains the dominion over my thoughts and actions today, as I make joyful melodies of the Word in my heart unto my Lord.

There’s a higher calling on my life; I am blessing to my world, ordained and chosen of God to manifest His glory, wisdom, and excellence to my world. I function today as a burning and shining light! I am making the Name of Lord known, and turning men and women from wickedness unto righteousness; this is my purpose, which I live daily to fulfill. Hallelujah. In the Name of Jesus, I am strengthened with divine enablement in my inner man by the Holy Ghost.

I refuse to be moved by any seemingly impossible situation or be distracted by the immensity of any challenging circumstances. Rather, my attention is fixed on God’s eternal Word and the power of the Holy Spirit as I walk through life with confidence, gamboling over adversities as the victor that I am. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

THEME: MAKING A SPECTACLE!

MEMORISE:
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15

READ:Luke 10:17-24
17. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy Name.
18. And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven.
19. Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in Heaven.
21. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy Sight.
22. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth Who The Son is, but The Father; and Who The Father is, but The Son, and he to whom The Son will reveal Him.
23. And He turned Him unto His Disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
24. For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

MESSAGE
A. In other to show that Our Father is in charge of the affairs of this world, it may be necessary for Children of God to engage in some spiritual fireworks that would lead to a spectacle.
1. To demonstrate His Supremacy over Satan, before the whole world, Our Lord Jesus Christ made a public spectacle of Satan while He was on earth.
2. He cast demons out with just A Word! He Commanded unclean sprits and they obeyed Him! And to crown it all up, He made their master, Satan fall as lighting from Heaven!
3. Matthew 8:16 “Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset: “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with A Word, and healed all who were sick,”
4. Mark 1:27 “Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What ew doctrine is this? For with Authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
5. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you The Authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
6. To show that His Superiority over the devil was not a fluke, He also empowered His Disciples to make a spectacle of the kingdom of darkness, which they did.
7. He went to the domain of the kingdom of darkness when He died, and boy, were there fireworks?
8. The highlight of this event is seen in Colossians 2:15: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
9. Halleluyah! Our Lord triumphantly made an open show of Satan and his cohorts in the spirit realm to show that He Reigns Supreme in both the natural and spiritual world.
10. To demonstrate The Superiority of Our God, we also have been mandated to make a spectacle of the kingdom of darkness and their works, just as our master did.

B. Elijah was A Prophet of God who engaged in a spiritual spectacle that disgraced the kingdom of darkness on Mount Carmel (Kings 18:21-39).
1. Elijah had given the prophets of Baal the chance to showcase the power of Ball, whom they claimed to be supreme.
2. Although they prayed to Baal from morning till evening, nothing happened. 3. 1 Kings 18:27 says: “And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.”
4. It was an interesting display which culminated in all onlookers confessing The Lordship of The God of Elijah.
5. 1 Kings 18:39 “Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”
6. After disgracing the devil and making a spectacle of him, Our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 10:19 fortified us with all that we need to victoriously put up a spiritual spectacle like Elijah did.
7. He said to us: “Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
8. With This Mandate, instead of the devil making a mockery of us, the reverse should be the case.
9. In your affairs today, use your God-Given Authority to put the devil down and exalt Our God.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, PROVE Yourself in my life. Let those who the devil is using to look down on me begin to look up to me for help as they acknowledge Your Supremacy manifesting through me in The Name. Amen ?!

*SEEDS OF DESTINY*

*THERAPY FOR THE SPIRIT OF INFERIORITY*

(FROM AUGUST 2018 SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE)

SCRIPTURE: Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Jeremiah 1:6-7.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It does not matter how negative what anybody has said about you; as long as God was not the one who said it, everything is under control.

Previously, we established that the spirit of inferiority is a limitation of life and destiny. A person’s mind-set either facilitates or frustrates Divine intervention. How you see yourself determines how the enemy sees you and handles you. This means, the mind-set of inferiority results in a life of inferiority. Inferiority complex limits a person’s destiny.

Having known this, what is the therapy for the spirit of inferiority?
i) See yourself the way God sees you
Look into the Bible and make a decision to see yourself the way God sees you (1Peter 2:9).

ii) Refuse to settle for what people say about you
Refuse to settle for the negative things people say about you. You can prove people wrong. I have proved people wrong in many ways in my life. Right from childhood, I have had negative utterances heaped against me from different people; some of them are very close to me. They never believed that I could amount to anything in life. But today, by the grace of God, many of the people who doubted what I would become in life have received help from me many times (Lamentations 3:37).

Beloved, God has the final say. Accept and believe only what God says about you. It does not matter how negative what anybody said about you; as long as God was not the one who said it, everything is under control. It does not matter what they have said about you, if God did not say it and you refuse to believe it, you have no problem. For example, some people might have said that you can never get married in life or that you can never succeed. It is only confirmed if you believe it; if not, it will never come to pass. You will succeed and excel contrary to any negative pronouncement over your life in Jesus’ Name.

My counsel is, discard people’s negative opinions about your life; believe only what God says about you in His Word (Proverbs 19:21).

Remember this: It does not matter how negative what anybody has said about you; as long as God was not the one who said it, everything is under control.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Do not allow yourself to be swayed, distracted or discouraged by people’s negative opinions about you.
2. Accept and believe God’s word about your life from the Scriptures.

PRAYER: O Lord, I reject every negative opinion and pronouncement about my life and destiny contrary to Your Word. I receive the grace to see, believe and become what You have said about me in Your Word, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
