SUNDAY 27TH DECEMBER.



MEDITATE ON HIS TRUTHS


But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory... (2 Corinthians 3:18).


Sometimes, it’s possible to look at yourself and not seem like what God says you are. Even in this season of celebration, especially after all that has happened this year, you may think through your life and wonder, “What’s really there to celebrate? Life has been so hard.” When you think or talk like that, you’re going in the wrong direction. Stop looking at circumstances; look at the Word.


Our theme verse says as you behold the glory of God in a mirror, which is the Word of God, you’re metamorphosed into the same image that you see in the Word. The more you look into (meditate) on God’s Word, the more you know who you are, see what you have, and your ability and glory in Christ Jesus. 


The circumstances of life are mere shadows; you don’t look at your shadow to determine who you are and what you look like; you look in the mirror.
The Bible says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). It makes no difference what your experiences have been; Christ is in you. That means there’s glory in your life! That’s what the mirror shows. This is what Christmas is about! 


Christmas means Christ has taken up His abode in you; He’s the glory of your life. He came for you, to live in you and through you. Hallelujah! Accept this truth! Accept what God has said about you and made you, and meditate on that! Be bold to affirm, “Now that Christ lives in me, I’ll never fail; I’m forever victorious and I express the glory and righteousness of His glorious kingdom every day and everywhere.” Hallelujah!


Throughout this season, meditate on God’s truth; who you are and your inheritance in Him. You’re a success. You’re in prosperity, health, peace and safety. He’s given you an extraordinary life of ever-increasing progress and greatness. Believe this, speak and live accordingly.




CONFESSION

Christ is in me; His life flows in every fibre of my being, every cell of my blood and every bone of my body! I’m what God says I am; I have what He says I have and I can do what He says I can do.

 I continually fix my gaze on the Word, and every day, I’m metamorphosed into the same image that I see in the Word. The Word is fully expressed in, and through me. I’m a success for Jesus! Praise God.

I affirm that the Lord is my light and my salvation. He’s the strength of my life; therefore, I am bold and courageous at all times! In the time of trouble, I am shielded in His pavilion; I dwell under His mighty arm of protection!


 He’s my refuge and my fortress, and I triumph gloriously in His Name. I am His living tabernacle! He talks through me, moves through me, and expresses His love and righteousness through me! 


My spirit, soul, and body are sanctified for the Master’s sacred use, and His glory is revealed more and more in me today and always. I am a tree of righteousness; the planting of the Lord. 


I am planted in the house of the Lord, and I flourish and produce excellent results. I am fruitful and productive; I bring forth fruits at all times. I am in Christ; I’ve got divine health working in every fibre of my being, every cell of my blood, and in every bone of my body! 



Divinity is expressed through me, from the crown of my
head to the soles of my feet! No evil or negative imagination has a place in my heart! 



My mind is inundated with the Word, with which I prevail over all the fiery darts of the enemy! My Words are seasoned; for I’ve been chosen, ordained, commissioned and appointed to bring forth lasting results.


 I experience the power and supernatural grace of God today, as I make manifest the saviour of the knowledge of Christ, in every place. Glory to God.

THEME: THE POWER OF PHYSICAL FELLOWSHIP.

MEMORISE:
“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” 
Psalms 122:1

 
READ: Psalms 122:1-2 (KJV)

1. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

MESSAGE:
Technology is a good thing; it is very effective in enhancing the worship experience, but it must be used with caution so it does not rob us of the worship experience that we need. 

There is a new trend now where people prefer to sit at home and connect to a service through their Television, a website or social media.

Believe me, what you get while watching through these means can never be the same as when you attend the service physically, especially if there is really nothing stopping you from doing so. When you connect to a service from home, you are prone to lots of distractions.

Someone could knock on your door and distract you; you could even remember something you wanted to do and decide to do it while still watching the service.

You could also decide to cook while watching the service, meaning whenever you are attending to the food, you are missing something. 

On the other hand, when you attend the service physically, you have few or no distractions as you and everyone around you have only one focus God.

More importantly however, is the atmosphere of worship; being in that Spirit-filled environment should not be traded for anything.

The fire from the fellow beside you who is praying or worshipping will ignite yours and you would reach realms you could not have attained had you been sitting at home to watch the service. 

Jesus said: 

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20

Watching Him move in the midst of a group of people gathered in His name can give you a bit of the action, but it can never be the same as when you are physically present amongst the group. 

So, except there is absolutely no way you can attend the service based on circumstances beyond your control, it is better that you attend Christian fellowships physically. 

As you do so, the power of God’s Spirit will locate and lift you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

ACTION POINT:
Attend services physically, and make use of digital platforms only when necessary.

?️The consciousness of accountability imparts caution to life’s actions.

 *SCRIPTURE* ?: Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. Romans 14:12 (NLT).

 *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* ?: The consciousness of accountability imparts caution to life’s actions.

It has been confirmed that one reason why people live anyhow today is that they are not conscious of their accountability to God. The consciousness of accountability imparts caution to life’s actions.

For example, it is the lack of the consciousness of accountability that makes people dress seductively, even to church. Today, people wear transparent and seductive dresses to church, and you begin to wonder if they think that the church, which is a salvation centre, has become a seduction centre. Please know that you will give an account to God if you position yourself in church as an instrument of sin for people who run away from the sins of the world to encounter you and fall into sin.

Know also that you will give an account of the way you treat your fellow human beings. You will give an account of the way you treat your driver, domestic staff, office clerk, etc. who are human beings like you.

If you are a ritual killer, human spare parts dealer, armed robber, or a hired assassin who take people’s lives, you will give an account to God one day. 

Maybe you are a doctor, a nurse or a health attendant who specializes in aborting unborn babies for people; God will ask you one day how you got the license to take another person’s life. Be conscious of this!

Beloved, the consciousness of accountability is key to living right. Always know that you will stand before God one day to give an account of how you lived your life.

*JESUS* answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

*TODAY’S WORD?* 
Everyone goes through seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During these times, it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you are facing a situation right now that looks impossible. Don’t get discouraged and give up because GOD wants to do something awesome in your life. Instead of talking to GOD about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your GOD is. Be bold and start speaking favor to that situation. Every day say, “Father, thank You that Your favor is turning this around. Thank You that Your favor is making a way even though I don’t see a way. Lord, thank You that Your favor is doing remarkable, astounding, overwhelming things.” When you release your faith like that, you’ll see GOD show up and do amazing things that you’ve never seen happen before!

Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, GOD does. Just do your part and keep speaking to those mountains in your life. Declare favor over those situations and get ready to move forward in the victory and blessing God has prepared for you!

Heavenly Father, thank You.    for Your Word which is life to my spirit. I receive Your strength today and choose to speak favor to the mountains. Thank You for preparing a path of victory as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You in *JESUS*’ name. Amen!

*✍?Looking back implies reviewing past events as a guide for plotting a better future. It is to return in thought to what transpired in the past so we can more carefully strategize for a better tomorrow. 

The essence of looking back is not to catalogue your past mistakes and grovel in self-condemnation, but to understand the route you have come through to help you decide whether to maintain the trajectory or make some changes. 


This is partly what God means when He repeatedly cautioned His people to consider their ways. "Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your panelled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?" Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: "Consider your ways! "


You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes" (Haggai 1:3-6). 

The people of God were busy pursing their private interests to the negligence of God's plan for their lives. The result is that they did not receive good returns for their labours. It is possible that your unmet expectation in the passing year is because you did not stay in line with God's design for you. 


The core essence of looking back at your life is to ensure that it is in line with God's purpose for you. You look back not to make a habit of dwelling in the past, but only so you can be reminded of the painful yet rewarding process of change and progress.*

*You look back so you can set right priorities for your future. The coming year provide you with new opportunities to improve your life in every way. In planning your life for the New Year, remember the truism that "history often repeats itself." When you allow your history of failure to repeat itself, you perpetuate youself in the cycle of rut. You only make history by refusing to repeat history and thus create history and thus create new possibilities.*
