TUESDAY 22ND DECEMBER.



TELL IT AROUND THE WORLD


And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16).

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, it’s important to realize that His glorious return is imminent, much closer than many realize. Therefore, we must intensify our efforts in reaching the lost, in telling the untold in our world and in the regions beyond that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Only through Him can men be saved and brought into God’s class of being and realm of life.


Until and unless a man is born again, his life will be the expression of all that’s happened to him, beginning from his lineage: where he was born, his nationality, locality, education, government, etc. All of these factors would form what becomes of his life. That means he’ll be limited to the environment and earthly lineage; how sad.


But when you’re born again, old things are passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). Suddenly, you’re brought into a life that’s beyond the earthly plane, where you’re not limited by any factor or the elements of this world. You now live in a new environment by a new principle of life, which is God’s Word. You’re now a partaker of the divine nature, no longer subject to sin, sickness, disease and death, because you received the God-life.


What a message to herald to the world; that God sent His son Jesus to the world that we may have His life, and also be the dispensers of that life. Tell the untold; reach the unreached; tell the nations, the farthest islands, that He lives, and the life He brought is available to everyone who believes: “...and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life...” (1 John 5:11-12).


As you celebrate this season, be strengthened in your spirit, and propelled to tell the world that the Lord is God; and He’s brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Anyone who’s born again receives the same life with Him. This is the message He’s charged us to preach and spread to the world.



PRAYER

Dear Lord, I pray for sinners around the world today, that they may know and accept that Jesus already bore the penalty for their sins, and therefore receive eternal life. Also, I pray for everyone who is sick or infirmed in their bodies today, that your healing power available in Christ will rid them of sickness and infirmities; they celebrate this season in health, peace and prosperity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#TALKINGSESSION 



Dear Father, I rejoice in You for the opportunity to intercede for the christless around the world and have them touched by Your Spirit and transformed into the image of Christ. 


I thank You for the light of the glorious Gospel which is shining brightly in the hearts of men, destroying the shackles of darkness. 


My passion for lost souls is stirred today with renewed commitment. I thank You for the Holy Spirit who resides in me, filling me with miracle-working power.


My spirit is inundated with the anointing, such that it permeates my soul and moves upon my physical body, thereby making me invulnerable everyday to the assaults of the devil, and victorious everyday. 


Thank You for the ministry of Your Word in my life. The Word is like a burning fire shut up in my bones. I can’t hold it back; I’ll promote and publish it everywhere with fervency until it engulfs my world.


 I am a burning and a shining light and many are coming to bask in the brightness of my light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

THEME: DANGERS OF INGRATITUDE.

MEMORIZE:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:21

BIBLE READING:
JUDGES 15:14-19

14. And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him; and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

15. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

16. And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.

17. And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.

18. And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

19. But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived; wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.

MESSAGE:
One day, I asked God why He punished King Saul so much while David who committed more sins was called the man after His heart.

He responded by telling me to read 2 Samuel 6:14

”And David danced before the LORD with all his might”

Then He asked me to look for a place where Saul danced for Him. I searched and couldn’t find.

I further decided to check where he said thank you to God somehow, but I didn’t find any.

Not even when God raised him to be king. It was clear then that Saul’s downfall was majorly due to ingratitude.

Another person who failed due to ingratitude is Samson.

All the time that the Bible records that the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and he did great exploits, not once did he say Thank you Lord.

In fact, probably the most glaring of such incidents was in Judges 15:17-18:

”And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking. that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi. And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?”

Just after exploits so great that even he acknowledged they were from God, instead of giving thanks, all he did was complain.

Ingratitude is a pointer to pride. Proverbs 16:18 says that pride goes before a fall.
Ungrateful people are proud and are heading for a fall.

When you see a person who is always grateful, you see humility in the fellow and since God gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5), the grace of God will always take the person higher.

Whatever chance you get, always remain grateful to God.

Be grateful for even the little things that others take for granted; be grateful that you can sleep and wake the next day, that you can walk, that you can talk, that you can wear your clothes by yourself, that you can eat, that you can use the bathroom, that you still have a sound mind. 

In everything and for everything, give thanks for this is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

PRAYER POINT:
Father, I am grateful for all that You are doing for me; please Lord, help me never to be ungrateful.

 *TOPIC: STEWARDSHIP ACCOUNTABILITY BEFORE GOD* 
 
?️ Leaders, including public leaders, owe a duty of accountability before God, and must give an account of their stewardship on the last day.

 *SCRIPTURE* ?: Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1.

 *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* ?: One reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God. 

Every single person owes a duty of accountability before God on the last day. And leaders, including public leaders, also owe a duty of accountability before God, and must give an account of their stewardship on the last day. So, as a leader, you will give an account of your stewardship before God (Romans 14:12). 

Now, one reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God. It is the lack of accountability consciousness that makes some leaders to embezzle public funds and empty the treasury.

God will require of everyone, including every leader alike, the duty of accountability on the last day. For instance, as a local government chairman or a leader in the local government council, you will give an account of your leadership to God. When you maltreat people under you; engage in kidnapping, ritual killing and shedding of innocent blood to keep your position, you will give an account before the God who cannot be bribed.

As a governor or a leader in a state, you will give an account of your governance before God. You will give an account of how you spent the money belonging to your state government.

Are you a president of a nation or a holder of a key public office? You will give an account of how you utilized and managed the resources committed into your hands.  You will give an account of how you took care of or maltreated the people that God put under your care. When you embezzle government’s fund and misrule the people, you will give an account. When you loot the treasury and allow people to wallow in poverty, hunger and suffering while you enrich yourself at the expense of their welfare, you will give an account to God who is the Consuming Fire, on the last day. 

Beloved, it is good to be aware of this so you can lead and serve well as a public officer.

 *Remember this* ?: One reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God.

 *1. As a leader, be always concerned about the welfare of the people under you* .

 *2. Don’t embezzle public resources and allow people to suffer because you are a leader or a person in a position of trust* .

 *3. Devise strategies to enhance people’s welfare as a leader or a person in a position of trust* . 

 *PRAYER* ??: O Lord, thank You for the privilege of leadership. I ask for forgiveness in any way I have mismanaged the opportunity. I ask for grace to lead people right and not take advantage of them for my personal gain, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
