TOPIC: TALK RIGHT AND HAVE A GREAT LIFE


…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6).


Proverbs 6:2 says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” This scripture underscores the precarious situations many have found themselves in today. 

They’ve been bound by their words. It’s so important that you talk right as a child of God.
When you talk right, you’ll live right; your life will turn out right. Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” This is referring to the words of wisdom pouring out of your mouth.


 If you don’t want to be broke, for example, then don’t talk poverty. Consciously speak in agreement with the Word always about your life, finances, business, health, etc.


Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” You’ll reap a harvest of good things through your words. Words are things; they are a creative force. Your life today is the result of your words. Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life….” If your words are wholesome, your life will be perfect, excellent and inspiring.


Proverbs 12:18 says, “…the tongue of the wise is health.” Keep yourself in health with your words. Talk faith, success and increase. 1 Peter 3:10 says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” This is a law of the Spirit and it works, whether or not you believe it. So, talk right and have a great life.


PRAYER

My words are potent, bringing forth victories, increase, promotions and abundance for me. With my wholesome words, I create a beautiful, extraordinary, exciting, fulfilling, exceptional and excellent life in Christ, a glorious life that’s filled with prosperity, health, joy and peace. I walk in Christ’s glory, grace, and righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I affirm that the Word is at work in me mightily. God’s Word has given me a mindset, and I see differently.



 I see from the perspective of the Word, my inheritance in Christ. My territory is enlarged! The nations of the world are opened unto me; for the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God, and of his Christ. Hallelujah! 


I am in Christ, I reign in righteousness; thus, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I dwell in the secret place of the most High, and function with the ability
of the Spirit always.


 The Lord is my source; I am highly connected. I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ; I am plugged to an unending supply. 


I refuse to think or talk lack; for I am the seed of Abraham. I consciously take my eyes away from men, my job or business, and focus on God; for He is my source.


 I focus on Him and not the channels, for He’s orchestrating things to my favour and sees to it that I walk continually in abundance. 


I am loaded; for all grace, every favour and earthly blessing are channeled towards me in abundance, that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient; possessing enough to require no aid or support, and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation. 


I have unlimited access to God’s inexhaustible riches. Hallelujah! All I require are supplied; for God’s divine power has given me everything I require for life and godliness. 


I am plugged into a nonstop supply system. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THEME: LET GO OF ANGER. 

MEMORISE:

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Proverbs 16:32

READ: Ephesians 4:31-32

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

MESSAGE:

Anger is so dangerous because it can destroy a lifetime of achievement within seconds. Ask Moses: a man who God spoke to face to face (Exodus 33:11), the man who led the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt and also caused the Egyptian army to be destroyed in the Red Sea (Exodus 14:27,28). Many great miracles had happened through him and he was on the to leading the children of Israel to the promise land, but anger ended his mission within seconds. (Numbers 20:10-12).

Anger is a destiny-killer and that is why I am determined never to get angry again in my life. I was once asked to act the role of an angry man in a play. As hard as I tried, I just couldn’t do it because I had dealt with anger so much in my life. Once in a while, things happen around me that can get me anger but I ensure that I do not stop doing things that help me avoid anger.

Always be in control of your emotions. Anger has a way of making people say or do things they wouldn’t normally. You need to be in control so anger does not take you in that direction. When people say “That is how I behave when I get angry”, it shows they don’t place great value on their destiny. If you let anger dictate how you behave, it will also dictate how far you go. Proverbs 25:28 says:
“ He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”

You have control; use it!

When someone gets me angry, I sing choruses. As I sing, I am inviting the Holy Spirit to take control and since He is a gentle Spirit, once He comes in, the anger will go. At others times, you may just quietly leave a place to avoid getting angry.

Whatever you do, ensure anger does not control you.

“He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” Ecclesiastes 7:9 

Don’t be a fool.

KEY POINT:

If you let anger dictate how you behave, it will also dictate how far you go in life.

*TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF REJECTION.*


SCRIPTURE?: "And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." Numbers 13:33

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY?: The spirit of rejection is one of the greatest challenges in life.

 Message?️: Some time ago, I saw three of my pictures in a magazine: one was used as a back cover; another was in the centre page and my wife opened the magazine and looked at it. I also looked at the magazine and told my wife that I liked the man in that picture. The man is solid, strong and very fine. He is not a bad man at all. My wife started laughing and asked, “Why are you talking like that?” Then I said that it is called healthy self-esteem. It is called correct mentality.

You know, there are people who hate their image in the mirror. They look at themselves in the mirror and feel insulted. They hate to look at themselves. Anytime you want to understudy your self-esteem, pick a tape recorder and do a recording of your speech. Then begin to play and listen to it. How you feel about it will show you how you think about yourself. Many people hate to listen to their recorded voice. What is your impression about yourself? How do you feel listening to yourself?

Beloved, how do you see yourself? The spirit of rejection is one of the greatest challenges in life. This spirit followed some people from their childhood.

But that devil is a bastard liar!

Beloved, God shall renovate your mind in Jesus’ Name.

*1. Never allow the negative utterances hurled against you to settle in you; discard them.*

PRAYER??: O Lord, I refuse and reject every negative utterance of men against my life. I receive and believe Your Word for my life, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

*TODAY’S WORD?* 
Scripture tells us that there is a battle going on in our minds. Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why the enemy will do everything he can to get you thinking in the wrong direction. Sometimes it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken over us. Those words are like seeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become a reality. In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we latch on to those negative words and develop what the Scripture calls a “stronghold.” It’s a wrong thinking pattern that keeps us imprisoned in defeat and keeps us from GOD’s best. The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie and embracing the truth of GOD’s Word. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind. 

Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what GOD says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and embrace GOD’s truth so you can be all that GOD has called you to be!

*A PRAYER FOR TODAY??* 
Father, today I choose to reject negative thoughts. I choose to reject lies from the past. I break every stronghold through the power of Your Word and embrace Your truth which sets me free in *JESUS*’ name. Amen.
