MONDAY 5TH OCTOBER.



KNOWING HIS VOICE ISN’T A MYSTERY


My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27).


The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Many wonder if it’s possible to hear God speak in a world where there’re so many voices. 


The words of the Master in John 10:2-5 clarify this. He said, “But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.


 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."


The key is understanding God’s Word. The more you study the Word, the more you recognise and know the voice of God, because God and His Word are one. He speaks through His Word. Everything He tells you: every direction or guidance you receive from Him, always sides up with His Word. 


Through meditation on His Word, His voice becomes clearer to you, even in the midst of all the noise and distractions.


If you’ve hitherto found it difficult to recognize God’s voice, the solution is simple: spend more time studying the Word! Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….” Proverbs 4:20-21 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” If you keep the Word in your heart, you’ll hear the Word in your heart.


In addition, pray in the spirit often; pray in tongues. This helps to condition your spirit to discern God’s voice, visions and promptings.



PRAYER

Dear Father, your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. My spirit is conditioned to receive supernatural ideas, visions and promptings. I’m sensitive and conditioned to know and walk in your perfect will for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

 I am an extension of God in the earth; anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! I am not of this world, I hail from God. I am from above, and I am above
the systems of this world. 


All things are fashioned to work together for my good, because I love the Lord, and I am called according to His purpose. I am an able, competent, and unstoppable minister of the Gospel!


 My life gravitates upwards and forward only, from glory to glory. For me, a recession is just a word, it does not exist where I live. 


My way is paved by the Lord, and it is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighterunto the perfect day. I am born great, and greatness is at work in me. 


I am known for greatness; for I am fashioned to do great things both in my world and the regions beyond. Hallelujah! 


By the ability of the Spirit, I am launched into higher realms of prosperity, blessings, and glory. Everywhere I go, God’s glory is revealed and manifested through me, for I am not just a carrier of His glory, but His glory personified. Hallelujah!

THEME: CAN GOD CHANGE HIS MIND? I 

MEMORISE:

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Exodus 32:14

READ: Exodus 32:10-20

10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

17 And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.

18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

MESSAGE:

Anyone who God is against is doomed already. However, I have good news for you: God can change His mind if the conditions are right for Him to do so.

In today’s Bible reading, God was ready to destroy Israel and start a new generation, but Moses was successful in his appeal. What was Moses’ plea that made God change His mind?

First, Moses was pleading from the mountain. He had a special relationship with God. He was closer to God than the rest; he was a favorite. If you have incurred God’s wrath through sin, you stand a better chance of obtaining mercy by getting someone like Moses – with a higher level of anointing, to plead on your behalf.

Secondly, Moses was not selfish in his plea. He was always particular about God’s name and reputation. When you put His interest first, He listens. Moses said:
 
“Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.” Exodus 32:12

Finally, Moses ensured the people repented and forsook their sins. God cannot be fooled. After forgiveness, you cannot continue doing what brough His wrath on you in the first place.

Christian leaders, if any member of your flock is going astray, plead with God for such. If the fellow changes, you could discipline them before God does. God still punished the Israelites for transgressing despite not wiping them out. This is why erring workers in the Church are sometimes suspended- we don’t want God to mete out the punishment Himself. Man’s punishment cannot be as fearsome as God’s anger. It is true that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), but God does not want the death of a sinner (Ezekiel 18:23). If you confess your sins, repent, and forsake them, God is faithful and just to forgive you and spare you His wrath. Indeed, He will not reject a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17).

ACTION POINT:

If you know you have incurred the wrath of God upon yourself, confess to a spiritual authority over you, who is closer to God, asking him/her to intercede on your behalf.

For we are GOD’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in *CHRIST JESUS*, [born anew] that we may do those good works which GOD predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

For we are his workmanship, created in *CHRIST JESUS* unto good works, which GOD hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

*TODAY’S WORD?*
GOD has already prepared paths for you to take in your future! When GOD laid out the plan for your life, He lined up the right people, the right circumstances and the right breaks. In your future, He’s already released favor, supernatural opportunities and divine connections. The breaks you need in life have already been set to come across your path. If you will stay in faith and go out each day and be a person of excellence, you’ll walk right into these appointments of favor. It will be just as if you stumbled into GOD’s blessings! 

When you understand this principle, you’ll begin to get excited about every single day! 
You’ll have a spring in your step as you think about what blessing is coming next. It could be today. It could be tomorrow. It could be next week. Keep expecting. Keep believing. Stay focused on the fact that GOD has already released into your future everything you need to fulfill your destiny. Start declaring seasons of increase over your life. Declare that favor is on you and look for those appointments of divine favor!

Father, thank You for prearranging a good life for me. Thank You for ordering my steps and directing my path. Help me to understand Your goodness more so that I can know You and stay close to You all the days of my life in *JESUS*’ name. Amen.
