Edo Governorship Primary: How PDP Sold Expired Ticket To Obaseki, Shaibu

Shocker awaits outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki as he is about to realize that the governorship election candidature which he spent over ten billion naira to buy from PDP, is useless to him after all .

All other aspirants have stepped down for him as they realized that the PDP has lost its chance of fielding a candidate for the September 19 governorship election .
Whereas the Electoral Act requires any political party that wishes to reschedule its primary to give INEC seven days notice.

But PDP gave only five days and thereby ran fowl of the guidelines.

INEC May therefore not monitor tomorrow’s primary of PDP , a situation that will invalidate the exercise.

Outgoing Governor Obaseki will end up wasting billions of naira on expired nomination ticket from PDP probably as God’s punishment for his ingratitude to APC which gave him the ticket free in 2016 even when he was just a new entrant into the party.
Besides, the outgoing governor obtained his nomination form three weeks behind approved time.
