All other aspirants have stepped down for him as they realized that the PDP has lost its chance of fielding a candidate for the September 19 governorship election . Whereas the Electoral Act requires any political party that wishes to reschedule its primary to give INEC seven days notice. But PDP gave only five days and thereby ran fowl of the guidelines.
