RESTORATION TODAY
THURSDAY, MAY 28, 2020.
TOPIC: *DIVINE SPEED (3)*
“And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.” 1 Samuel 30:18.
*MESSAGE*
As we bring our study on divine speed to a close, let us look at two more examples today.
*4. David*
There is an interesting story in 1 Samuel 30. David's household and his city had been taken captive by the Amalekites. In fact, the people affected were so grieved that they spoke of stoning David. However, David received divine direction and divine speed. "And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all." (1 Samuel 30:18-19). Beloved, I see the same miracle of speedy restoration becoming a reality in your life in Jesus' name.
*5. Joseph*
In just one day, Joseph graduated from being a prisoner to becoming the prime Minister of Egypt. No promotion could be more speedy! The common thread to both his story and the other stories we've looked at is that they were achieved by God's grace for divine speed. It is one of the benefits we are meant to enjoy by being recipients of the manifold grace of God.
Perhaps you are being overwhelmed by a sense of lost time; be encouraged, all hope is not lost. If you will put your confidence in the Lord, He will surely grant you good speed. When God imparts on you His divine speed, you will outrun all your competitors and recover everything that you might have lost. May you experience such accelerated progress and undeniable advancement that will bring a new song to your mouth in Jesus' name.
*ACTION POINT*
?️ Which of these two stories (David's and Joseph's) can you relate with? Pray with that.
*SCRIPTURES*
1 Samuel 30:1-19; Genesis 41:41; Acts 7:10; Psalm 105:21.
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. I receive speedy restoration of all that the enemy has taken away from me in the name of Jesus;
2. Father, let me experience speedy divine elevation in the name of Jesus;
3. Father, let my life continue to bring You glory in the name of Jesus.
*THE BIBLE OF THE YEAR*
