Serie A: What Lukaku said to Victor Moses as Inter Milan defeated Parma [VIDEO]

Inter Milan striker, Romelu Lukaku, on Sunday night mouthed obscenities at teammate Victor Moses after the Nigerian star failed to pick him out in their 2-1 win over Parma in the Serie A.

Inter Milan defeated Parma, thanks to two second-half goals from Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

Ivory Coast forward, Gervinho, did score for the host at the Ennio Tardini Stadium.


However, there was the chance to add a third goal in stoppage time when Moses was played through in the 95th minute, but the 29-year-old could not find Lukaku.
Lukaku then screamed at Moses, saying, “Victor F***ing Hell!” after the winger’s cross failed to beat the first man.


The win over Parma means Inter Milan are now in the third position on the Serie A table with 61 points from 28 games.
Antonio Conte’s side will host Brescia in their next fixture on Wednesday.

Brighton vs Man Utd: Solskjaer hints at starting XI for Premier League clash

Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has hinted that players who were involved in its FA Cup quarter-final victory against Norwich City over the weekend will be available for a starting berth when they take on Brighton on Tuesday in the Premier League.


Solskjaer’s men will face Brighton in an away EPL clash at the Falmer Stadium on Tuesday night, after defeating Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road on Saturday to book their place in the FA Cup semi-final where they will tackle Chelsea.


“Apart from, of course, the after-effect of the physical work-out and coming back late, they [the players] had a recovery day yesterday and today will be an easy day, and we’re just preparing for tomorrow,” Solskjaer said at his pre-match press conference on Monday when asked if there were any injury issues in his squad.

“I think the buzz and the energy that the win and a semi-final place will give you will help us tomorrow night.”

Bayern Munich agree to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City for £54.8m in a five-year deal 







Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City for £54.8m in a five-year deal 

The Bundesliga champions will pay an initial fee of £44.7m (€49m) for the 24-year-old German winger with  £10m (€11m) in add-ons which takes the deal to £54.8m.

City have also included a 10 percent sell-on clause into the deal if the German club should they sell Sane in the future.

Sane is expected to fly to Germany in the next 24 hours to complete a medical. 

The deal comes after Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola recently revealed the club would not seek to sign a replacement for the winger as they have plenty of options who are capable of playing in that position.
 
He said: "We have enough good players up front. Gabriel (Jesus) can play on the left, Phil Foden can play on the left, we have Raheem (Sterling) there. We have big, talented players up front.

"Most of them are in good healthy conditions, like Phil, Riyad (Mahrez), Gabriel, Raheem, they can play quite regularly for a long period of time, they are so stable in terms of injury situations. I think we have other priorities maybe.

"And I don’t know, after the coronavirus, if the situation economically and financially for the clubs is changing. I don’t know what the situation is. We’re going to see at the end of this season."
 
Leroy Sane will depart the Etihad having made 192 appearances for City and scoring 52 goals for the club in all competitions.

Messi reaches 700 goals milestone as Barcelona draw 2-2 with Atletico Madrid (photos)




                           


Barcelona Football star, Lionel Messi netted against Atletico Madrid in the La Liga clash on Tuesday night, June 30, to mark the 700th goal of his professional career barely a week after turning 33.
 
The Argentina captain converted after 50 minutes to put his team 2-1 ahead against Diego Simeone's side. 
 

 
Atletico's two goals were through penalties scored by Saul Niguez while Barca first scored through a Diego Costa own goal while Messi scored in the second half.
 
Barca are now one point behind Real Madrid in second having played one game more than their rivals. Atletico Madrid are two points clear of Sevilla and remain in third place, 11 points behind Barca.

Messi has now scored 630 for the Catalans, making him the club's all-time top scorer by some distance, with another 70 strikes coming in international colours for Argentina.
 
Messi alongside Ronaldo (who has 725 career goals) joins a select few of football legends such as Josef Bican , Romario, Pele, Ferenc Puskas, and Gerd Muller who have scored over 700 goals in their careers.

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen arrives in Italy to seal move to Napoli in a '€70m'deal (photos)








Super Eagles' and Lille striker, Victor Osimhen is set to make a move to Napoli in a '€70m' deal.
 
The 21-year-old Nigerian international arrived in Italy on Tuesday, June 30, in the company of his agent to finalise the deal to the Serie A club.
 

 
Osimhen is expected to sign a five year deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s side which will see him pocket €4m annual salary apart from bonuses.
 

 
The player’s brother, Andrew also confirmed his imminent move to Napoli in a telephone chat with Daily SunSports.
 
He said: “We spoke for several hours last night and he told me everything about the deal. He (Osimhen) knows what is good for him, so we are not losing any sleep over the likely transfer to Napoli,” 
 
Victor Osimhen who signed for Lille in July 2019, will depart the club after scoring 18 goals in 38 games across all competitions before the French Ligue 1 was cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

CAF postpones 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to 2022







The African Confederation of Football (CAF) has decided to postpone the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to 2022.
 
The tournament was set to take place between January 9 and February 6, 2021, in Cameroon, but it has now been postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. 
 
"After consultation with stakeholders and taking into consideration the current global situation, the tournament has been rescheduled for January 2022," Caf confirmed in a statement. "The date for the final tournament and the remaining matches of the qualifiers will be communicated in due course."
 
CAF also announced that the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) has been postponed to 2021, while the 2020 Africa Women's Cup of Nations was cancelled due to 'challenging conditions.'

18-year-old Bukayo Saka signs new long-term deal with Arsenal









Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners.
 
The Gunners confirmed on Wednesday, July 1, that the promising 18-year-old winger has committed his future after inking a long term deal with the London club.
 
Saka, who started his career with Arsenal's Hale End academy also took to Twitter to announce the good news. 
 
He tweeted: "London is my home. Arsenal my team. I'm so happy to finally announce my contract extension. I love playing for this club and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.. The hard work continues so I can continue living my dream. God is Great !!'
 
Speaking on the deal, Arteta told the club's official website: 'Bukayo is a talented and intelligent young player. He has impressed me with his work ethic and attitude to learn and adapt, and it has paid off in his performances. 
 
'I am excited to continue working with him to develop him further, and for him to help us achieve our goals.'
 

 
Technical director Edu Gaspar added: 'This is something everyone involved wanted to happen and we are delighted that Bukayo has signed a new long-term contract.

Bukayo Saka was born in London Borough of Ealing to Nigerian parents, meaning he is eligible to play for either Nigeria and England. So far in his young career, Saka has only played for England, representing The Three Lions at youth level.

Chelsea loanee Victor Moses extends contract with Inter Milan until end of the season




                                 


Italian football club, Inter Milan have reportedly extended the loan contract of Nigerian winger Victor Moses until the end of the 2019-2020 Serie A season.
 
According to top Italian sports paper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Victor Moses and on-loan Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will remain at the Nerazzurri until the end of the season, while Inter Milan continue negotiations with Chelsea and Manchester United over permamently signing both players.
 
The original loan agreement between Inter and the Premier League clubs expired on Tuesday, June 30 but the agreement timeline has been increased after the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the football calendar.
 
Moses has provided two assists in 11 games to date and was in action for 491 minutes since joining Inter in January.
 
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has featured in all the four matches Inter Milan have been involved in since the season restarted on June 13.

The debate for who deserves the EPL best player award for 2019/2020 season is causing serious issues amongst Epl fans, ex-players and sports journalists. Four journalists squabbled over who should win the men’s PFA Player of the Year. To decide who wins, a poll was conducted on Twitter and your winner? Kevin de Bruyne.

Eurosport’s new series ‘The Debate’ saw four writers make a case for four different players before having their arguments picked apart in new vodcast and podcast ‘Game of Opinions’.

De Bruyne (34%) took the spoils marginally ahead of Sadio Mane (32.3%), with Jordan Henderson (20.2%) completing the podium. Last year's actual winner Virgil van Dijk (13.4%) finished last.

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, has blamed the “office referee” following their 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United on Thursday.
Harry Kane’s goal was canceled, after Sander Berge had given the hosts the lead at Bramall Lane.

VAR officials ruled that Lucas Moura had used his arm in the build-up, despite the Brazilian being pushed over.
Mourinho looked angry at the time, but the Portuguese refused to blame referee Chris Kavanagh.

“I think the referee should always be the man on the pitch and the man in the office should support and assist. But that’s not the way that it is.


“Especially a referee who’s not very good on the pitch, we can’t expect him to be very good in the office.

“I used to go to the fourth [official] but the man on the pitch is the assistant referee and today the man and the lady with the flag, [who] used to be the assistant referees, are now assistant’s assistant. The ref is in the office,” Mourinho said on Sky Sports.

The result is a blow for Spurs’ European hopes, as they are now ninth on the Premier League table with 45 points.

EPL: Guardiola reveals why Man City thrashed Liverpool 4-0

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has given reasons why they were able to defeat Liverpool 4-0 on Thursday.

Guardiola, speaking to the media after the match, said they had to take “risks” because of the Reds’ high pressing style.

“We tried to play football, taking risks.
“Because they are the best team I ever faced in my life with high pressing, it is incredible how fast they are, how quick they play,” he said.

Kevin De Bruyne put City one goal up after Joe Gomez dragged Raheem Sterling down inside the box.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said that Manchester City defeated his team 4-0 in the Premier League on Thursday night because the Reds lacked ‘fluidity’ during the encounter.

According to Klopp, Pep Guardiola’s side was quicker than Liverpool in mind, adding that his players did not make good use of their chances against Man City.

Four goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (OG) gave City all three points against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
