Police in Russia have arrested a woman identified as Natalia Baksheeva and her husband, Dmitry Baksheeva who made human meat pies and sold them to restaurants.
The couple has reportedly killed and ate 30 or more victims, according to their confession to the police.
The couple lived in the grounds of a military academy run by the Russian Defence Ministry.
According to DailyMail UK, the woman is believed to have sold human meat to military trainees, including student pilots, attending the academy where she worked.
Human parts were found in their fridge, freezer and elsewhere in their home at a hostel in a military academy in Krasnodar, Southern Russia, according to the paper.
A 35-year-old waitress Elena Vashrushev, who lived near Natalia and her husband, was one of the their victims.
According to neighbours, Natalia, a former nurse, made and sold pies to boost her income.
Natalia, according to the report, at a point applied to work as a chef and offered to supply meat to a cafe in the city in 2010.
The Cafe owner, Vitaly Yakubenko, said, “She was very active, asked lots of questions but mainly about where we buy our meat and fish and how fresh it is. She made clear she could supply meat.
“I said that we work only with certified suppliers.
“The police should look now where this woman may have worked as a chef and if she tried to push her products there too.
“For sure these cannibals were looking for places to sell their meat.
