Barcelona are interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City in the summer, according to Don Balon.
Quique Setien is looking to strengthen his midfield after this season and has marked Ndidi as one of his options.
Ndidi has established himself as one of the top tacklers in the Premier League in the last two seasons.
The Super Eagles star is said to be valued at around €35million and Setien would be ready to sanction a deal at that price.
Despite playing from a defensive position, Ndidi has scored twice for Leicester.
He has also attracted attention from Arsenal.

Real Madrid are set to offer their player, Luka Jovic to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as the striker ignored Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines after flying home to Serbia last week, according to Mirror UK.
Jovic was permitted to leave self-isolation to fly home, but Real Madrid was unimpressed to discover he disregarded Serbia’s coronavirus safeguards.
Serbia, as a country, has ordered all persons returning from a coronavirus-hit country to self-isolate for up to twenty eight days.
However, Jovic was spotted in the streets of Belgrade not long after he arrived from Spain capital Madrid and also made an appearance at his girlfriend’s birthday party.
His actions have left Serbian authorities unimpressed.
The 22-year-old was forced to apologise for his actions, saying: “I’m so sorry that some people did not do their jobs professionally and did not give me instructions on how to behave regarding isolation.
“In Spain, I was allowed to go to the pharmacy and the supermarket, which isn’t the case here.”
Jovic, who joined Real Madrid from Frankfurt last summer, has drawn interest from Chelsea and Tottenham in the past.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he has recovered from coronavirus

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said that he has recovered from coronavirus.
The 37-year-old Spanaird became the first football coach in the World to test positive for the disease on 12 March. Arteta had reported he wasn't feeling too well after news surfaced that Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Greek side Olympiakos, who played Arsenal in the Europa League in February had coronavirus on 10 March.
Speaking to Spanish television channel La Sexta, he said: 'I'm very well now, I feel that I have recovered.'
'It took me three or four days to start feeling much better and with more energy, to leave the symptoms behind and now, the truth is that I feel very well.'
'Everything happened very fast,' he added. 'On Tuesday afternoon I was feeling so-so and I went to see the doctor but he wasn't there.
'I got a call from the board of directors after training while I was in my car and they told me that the president of Olympiakos had tested positive and everyone that had been in contact was at risk.
'I went on to tell them that I wasn't feeling well and that we had a situation because we had lots of players that had been in contact with them [Olympiakos].
'We had a game against Manchester City the next day and obviously, we couldn't put lots of people at risk without saying anything.
'I had the test done last Wednesday and I was diagnosed on Friday, when we had to communicate it to the Premier League that I had tested positive.

'Obviously, all those that had been in contact with me had to go into quarantine, and consequently, games had to be suspended.'

Tokyo 2020 Olympics postponed until 2021 due to coronavirus pandemic

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be postponed by one year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
International Olympic Committee member Dick Pound made this announcement. He confirmed the Games - due to start on Friday, July 24, and end on Sunday, August 9 - will be held at a later date, most likely in 2021.
The details over when the Games will be held are to be worked out over the next four weeks.
Pound told USA Today: "On the basis of the information the IOC has, postponement has been decided.
"The parameters going forward have not been determined, but the Games are not going to start on July 24, that much I know.
"It will come in stages. We will postpone this and begin to deal with all the ramifications of moving this, which are immense."

Asked about Pound's comments, an IOC spokesman said: "Well, as we announced yesterday, we are looking at scenarios."
Olympic Committee chairman Thomas Bach said on Sunday that he has ruled out cancelling the Games altogether.
The decision to postpone the Olympics comes after intense pressure from competing countries, with Australia and Canada pulling out before today's announcement.
This is the first time the Olympics will ever been postponed.
The 1916 Games were cancelled because of World War I and the 1940 and 1944 Olympics were called off due to World War II.
There were boycotts for three straight Olympics from 1976 - but the event always went ahead as scheduled.

Arsenal will continue to pay all of their matchday and non-matchday staff until April 30, despite there being no matches due to the coronavirus crisis.
There will be no Premier League football until April 30 at the earliest, leaving football club employees – both part-time and full-time – without work during the pandemic.
But Arsenal have made a move to ease the financial concerns of their staff by vowing to pay them all even without matches taking place.
Arsenal’s managing director Vinai Venkatesham said in a statement: ‘We are truly grateful for the outstanding efforts of all our staff across the club every day. We rely on their tireless service to provide a first-class experience for our fans on matchdays and non-matchdays.
“These are challenging times for everyone, but in particular our casual workers. This gesture is intended to ease their financial uncertainty while football is currently suspended to 30 April 2020.
“We are truly grateful for the outstanding efforts of all our staff across the club every day. We rely on their tireless service to provide a first-class experience for our fans, on matchdays and non-matchdays. “We look forward to welcoming football back to Emirates Stadium as soon as possible.”
Arsenal players, meanwhile, will not return to training as was initially planned on Tuesday, although manager Mikel Arteta has recovered from coronavirus.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has reportedly asked the club’s board to make a transfer move for Manchester United’s target, Declan Rice as midfielder, Jorginho’s replacement, according to Sky Sports.
Lampard, who is a huge admirer of Rice, wants to sign the England international to slot into his starting XI next season, likely at the expense of Jorginho, who joined Chelsea in 2018 from Napoli.
Chelsea are interested in signing Rice, who currently plays for West Ham United this summer but face competition from Man United for the player’s signature.
Rice started his career at Chelsea, but he joined West Ham after he was let go by West London club as a teenager.
The 21-year-old is a close friend of Chelsea star, Mason Mount, following his time at the Blues.
Chelsea is currently on the fourth position on the Premier League table following the postponement of the English top-flight competition until April 30 due to the spread of coronavirus across the globe.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Pepe Reina self-isolating after showing coronavirus symptoms

Former Liverpool goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, who currently plays for Aston Villa in the Premier League, believes he has contracted coronavirus after displaying symptoms of the deadly disease.
The 37-year-old Spaniard is currently self-isolating at home like other players but he disclosed that he 'went through the bug' last week. Although he has not been officially diagnosed with the illness.
Speaking in a recent interview with radio station Cope, he said: 'Last week it was my turn to go through the bug,' he told radio station Cope. 'It has been a different week, of taking precautions not to infect the people who live with me.
'Here tests are not conducted unless you are [in a] very bad [state]. Speaking to the doctors, the symptoms I had were of it, without official confirmation of it but everything pointed to it.
'We are very privileged people. We have a big house, with a garden. I think of the people who live in a 70m squared apartment with two children and for me they are people who are showing a lot of strength.'
Reina also said he is not concerned about when football returns because health must come first.
'Football takes a back seat. I don't care much, really. Everyone's wellbeing goes above anything else.
'I don't know if we will play again this season. We have to be careful when talking about dates or deadlines. I understand that there are economic interests and a lot at stake, but as in any other sector.
'There's no point in playing without fans [in the stadium]. People have to enjoy it. We feel more fulfilled with fans. Beyond that, whatever is healthier and safer will be done.'

Pep Guardiola and Lionel Messi donate €1million each to help fight coronavirus

Manchester City football manager Pep Guardiola alongside Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi have each contributed a whooping €1million to help Spain and Argentina in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Spanish media reports, Guardiola sent the money (equivalent to his monthly wage at Manchester City) to Barcelona Medical College and the Angel Soler Daniel foundation, a foundation named after a doctor from Santpedor, the town in Barcelona Guardiola hails from.
Guardiola made the financial pledge on Tuesday following an appeal by the foundation over the weekend as the Spanish government declared a state of emergency on Saturday in a bid to quell the coronavirus pandemic.
Messi, the World's 2019 footballer of the year, made his own contribution after taking part in several campaigns to raise awareness over the past week, highlighting the importance of staying at home and washing hands to avoid the virus from spreading.
According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Messi’s donation totals €1million (£913k), with half the money going to another medical centre back in Argentina. The donation will allow both hospitals to buy more PPE and materials to cope with the huge number of patients who have been affected by coronavirus.

Brighton player tests positive for coronavirus

Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that a member of their squad has tested positive for coronavirus but they wouldn't disclose who the player is.
The club's chief executive Paul Barber confirmed the news saying, three unnamed members of Albion's squad underwent tests after showing symptoms of Covid-19, with one returning positive.
"We've had three players tested, one has tested positive. We're not testing them routinely, we're only testing them when symptoms emerge," Barber said during a virtual press conference on Thursday
"But the one that tested positive was just today, so that's unfortunate but he's OK and he's obviously getting the care that he needs at the moment."

The Premier league football season could restart in July amidst the coronavirus pandemic and last 4- 5 weeks according to a new report.
According to a report by Football London, the Premier League, EFL, the FA and the government had a conference call on Saturday and they all discussed the possibility of starting leagues in July and the clubs will try and wrap up all the games within "four to six weeks" with no fans in attendance.
According to the report, the leagues are determined to complete their football league seasons - with most clubs having nine or ten matches of their league campaigns remaining - and failure to complete their seasons might affect their next season preparations and could lead to a loss of £750million in TV revenue for clubs.

But the FA has not come out to publicly endorse or deny the report, with a statement by them saying;
"The Premier League, EFL and PFA met today and discussed the growing seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The Premier League, EFL and PFA agreed that difficult decisions will have to be taken in order to mitigate the economic impact of the current suspension of professional football in England and agreed to work together to arrive at shared solutions.
"The leagues will not recommence until 30 April at the earliest. They will only do so when it is safe and conditions allow.
"Further meetings will take place next week with a view to formulating a joint plan to deal with the difficult circumstances facing the leagues, their clubs, players, staff and fans."

Juventus coaching staff and players, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey, have agreed to take a pay cut for the next four months as coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread across the world.
The agreement is set to be worth around £80.7million to the Club’s wage bill.
Juventus made this known in a statement on its official website on Saturday.
“Juventus Football Club announces that, due to the current global health emergency preventing the performance of the sporting activity, it has reached an understanding with the players and the coach of the First Team regarding their compensation for the residual portion of the current sport season,” the statement reads.
“The understanding provides for the reduction of the compensation for an amount equal to the monthly payments of March, April, May, and June 2020.
“In the coming weeks, personal agreements with the players and the coach will be finalised, as required by the current regulations.
“The economic and financial effects of the understanding reached are positive for about EUR 90 million for the 2019/2020 financial year.
“Should the current season’s matches be rescheduled, the Club will negotiate in good faith with the players and the coach conditional increases of compensations according to the actual resumption and finalisation of official competitions.
“Juventus would like to thank the players and the coach for their commitment at a difficult time for everyone.”

Juventus Football Club Star, Paulo Dybala on Friday March 27, shared his sad ordeal after testing positive for coronavirus which has killed over 9,000 people in Italy.
In an interview with JTV, the Argentine international who was tested positive for the virus alongside his teammates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi who both had no symptoms, recalled struggling to breathe.
Dybala however disclosed that he has overcome symptoms of the virus with his fiancée Oriana Sabatini, and now feels better.
He said;

“Now I’m fine. My fiancée Oriana (Sabatini) has also overcome the symptoms.”

According to the Telegraph Sport, the players will help the club save about £80million during the league break caused by the disease outbreak
The club has thanked its players and managers for agreeing to give up their salaries.
The statement on the official website read;

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has said he and his team-mates would be happy to take a 70% pay cut on their salaries, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Messi, in a statement on Monday, also said the players will make an additional contribution, so that none of the non-sporting staff’s earnings will be reduced.
Spain has been in a state of emergency since March 12 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Messi, 32, has a wage in excess of €600,000 per week from Barcelona.
The reduction will not only affect the men’s first team, but all of the club’s professional teams, including the basketball side, among others.
“We want to clarify that our desire has always been for a reduction to be applied to our salaries because we understand that this is an exceptional situation and we are the first that have ALWAYS helped the club with what they have asked of us.
“Many times we have even done things on our own accord, at moments when we felt it necessary or important to do so.
“For that reason, it doesn’t cease to surprise us that from inside the club there would be people that want to put us under a magnifying glass or try to pressure us into something that we were always clear we wanted to do. In fact, if the agreement has dragged on, it’s because we were looking for a formula to help the club and its workers in these difficult times.
“For our part, the moment has arrived to announce that, aside from the 70% wage cut during the State of Emergency, we are going to also make contributions so that all the club’s employees can earn 100% of their salaries for as long as this situation lasts,” the statement read.

Chelsea winger, Willian, has admitted he could play for another Premier League club.
Willian has expressed his desire to remain in the Premier League, as his current deal with the Blues enters its final months.
The Brazilian joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 and has made over 300 appearances for the Blues, winning two Premier League titles, the Europa League and FA Cup.
With his contract set to expire in June, Willian has been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.
