Daily Devotional for Sunday 30th June
#1
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY, 30TH JUNE.

HE SPEAKS TO YOU IN “SPIRIT LANGUAGE”

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27).

Oftentimes, when we say God spoke to us, there’re those who wonder, “What language does He speak?” They want to know how they too can hear God. God is a Spirit, and He speaks to your spirit. What you have to learn is to listen to Him with your heart—your spirit.

Being born again, and having received the Holy Spirit, you’re one with the Lord. He’s come to dwell within you and has mingled with your spirit. The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Thus, His voice in your spirit will be unmistakable. All you have to do is listen from within. He knows every language. He can talk to you in any language.

The most important thing about God speaking to you isn’t the language He spoke; it’s whether your spirit received the words. He speaks to you in “spirit language,” because He talks to your spirit. Your mind is what relates with language.

Language is created with sound for your intellect. But God isn’t a mind, neither does He appeal to your mind. He doesn’t need your reasoning faculties to communicate with you. As a result, He doesn’t need to put His message in a language for your intellect.
When He speaks to you in any human language, if you don’t receive the message from your spirit, it may have no impact or meaning. It has to get to your spirit. If you only got the words in your mind, you may even forget what He said, but your spirit can remember.

Moreover, when God speaks to you, your spirit will at once light up and bear witness that He’s the One talking to you. It’s like what Jesus said in our opening verse, “My sheep hear my voice….”

Train your spirit to be a sure-guide and a dependable receptacle of God’s words and signals. Activate your spirit by speaking in tongues frequently. Also, it’s very important that you learn the Word of God, because He never says anything outside His Word. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the ability to hear and recognise your voice. As you speak to me from the Word and counsel me from within, I respond to your guidance, promptings, and instructions, and receive the corresponding blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

#TALKINGSESSION

30TH JUNE.

KINDLY SAY THESE WORDS OUT LOUD

Thank You Father, for I know that the devil and the cohorts of hell have been defeated, paralyzed, and rendered completely powerless. I have been given the authority and made superior to them in Christ! Now, I walk in my victory over Satan, sin, sickness, disease and death! I thank You for the power of Your Word, and its ability to transform, purify,
strengthen me, and build my faith strong!

I give no room to doubt and unbelief, but believe and receive Your truths always! My heart is continually being purified and enlightened by Your Word, and Satan has nothing in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God bless you

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SUNDAY 30TH JUNE 2019

THEME: DON’T BE A DEAD SACRIFICE.

MEMORISE:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

READ: Judges 16:28-31

28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

31 Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.

MESSAGE

Sacrifice is that act of surrendering a prized possession as an offering to God. In reality, it is the death or loss of the object that makes it a sacrifice. In this light, the use of the term “living sacrifice” in today’s memory verse seems like a contradiction, since an object of sacrifice should not remain alive. However, the term “living sacrifice” is used in that verse with specific focus on our living bodies being presented as holy and acceptable unto God. To this effect, 1 Corinthians 6:19 says:

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

This verse says that our body is God is temple. A temple is a holy place or sacred building which has been set aside as a place of worship or consecrated as the house of God. In the Old Testament, the Tabernacle in the desert, the sanctuaries at Bethel and Shiloh, and the temple at Jerusalem were all temples of God in different forms. However, under the new Covenant, the notion of God dwelling within us is fundamental to our faith, Our Lord clearly says in John 14:23:

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

For anyone who belongs to Christ indeed, God is saying clearly that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. You therefore need to handle it with all the care, holiness and sacredness it deserves, if it is to be acceptable to God as a dwelling place.

When I was a university lecturer some years ago, there was a young lady whose prayer was always “Lord, use me for Your glory.” Shunning interest in anything else, this was the only prayer point consistent on her list. One day, she needed to use the toilet because she was seriously pressed, but as she opened the toilet one by one, she discovered they were all messed up. As she left in annoyance, she heard God saying, “I thought you wanted to use the toilet, what happened?” she responded that the toilets were all dirty. To her shock, she heard the Lord saying the reason He had not used her, despite her numerous prayers, was because she was dirty! Therefore, for anyone to be used of God as a living sacrifice, he or she must be clean in and out, and thoroughly furnished unto good works. God expects us to live in holiness and righteousness, while handling our bodies in sanctification and honor (1 Thessalonians 4:4).

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to live the rest of my life as a living sacrifice to You, in Jesus’ Name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 5-6
Ezekiel 7:23-8:6

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 4: TAKE MY LIFE, AND LET IT BE

1.Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3.Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose,
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE

SUNDAY 30 JUNE, 2019

THE DIVIDENDS OF THE RIGHT DECISION

SCRIPTURE: But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where there is a will, there must be a way.

We have thus far established that indecision is an enemy of excellence, authority and destiny.

Now, it is important to note that fulfilling destiny requires the taking of the right decisions promptly. Prompt decisions must be taken for destiny to be fulfilled. Procrastination ruins destiny. Destiny decays when decisions are not taken on time in life.

Now, what are the dividends of decision? Let me give you three of them:

1. Decision Assists Discretion

Decisiveness attracts wisdom. The capacity to decide on time facilitates mentality; it matures your mentality. When you are decided on what you want in life, it opens your mind to ideas on how to get there. This is why Matthew 6:22 says …if your eye is single, your body will be flooded with light. If you know what to do you attract light on how to do it. God does not talk to those who are going nowhere.

2. Decision Powers Action

Decisive people are proactive people. Decision powers action. Many people don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want. If you really know what you want, nobody will show you what to do; you will definitely start from somewhere.

3. Decision Fuels Determination

This means, to be decided is to be determined; where there is a will, there must be a way. David made up his mind to seek and pursue after God (Psalm 27:4). If you don’t know what you desire you will never know what to pursue; if you have not decided you cannot be determined.

Beloved, my counsel is, make up your mind to take the right decisions promptly; conquer anything that makes you to be undecided in life and move forward by taking the right decision. Your decision determines your destiny.

Remember this: Where there is a will, there must be a way.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Refuse to be controlled by indecision and procrastination.

2. Ask God to give you the grace to make up your mind always.

PRAYER: O Lord, deliver me from every spell of indecision, wrong decision and procrastination. I ask for the grace to move forward in life by taking right decisions promptly, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: UNDERSTANDING AND OVERCOMING THE ENEMIES OF DISTINCTION AND EXCELLENCE.

DAILY READING: 2 Kings 17:1 - 18:12, Acts 20:1 - 38, Psalm 148:1 - 14, Proverbs 18:6 - 7

AMAZING FACT: Honeybees can flap their wings 200 times every second.

QUOTE: When you expose and make yourself known to your world, it makes you do the right thing. Your decision to live right is re-enforced because people will permanently expect you to do the right thing since they know who you are. Culled from WHO ARE YOU? by Dr Paul Enenche.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Proceed into the arena of action by the power of right decision in Jesus’ Name.

*OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL*

_A DAILY DEVOTIONAL BOOKLET FOR CHAMPIONS_

*DATE: SUNDAY 30TH JUNE, 2019*

*TOPIC: PRAY THIS PRAYER! MAKE THE WORLD BETTER TODAY!*

*BASIC SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 20:19-30*

The prayer below has blessed my life and will be used by heaven to bless your soul today. Share it with me: “Lord, may I become at all times, both now and forever, A protector for those without protection, A guide for those who have lost their way, A strip for those with oceans to cross, A sanctuary for those in danger, A lamp for those in the dark, And a servant to all those in need, as long as living beings exist, and suffering afflicts them.

May I too abide to dispel the misery of the world.”
It was Robert Lingersoll who noted that: *“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”* Mohandas Gandhi, also wrote: *“He who wishes to secure the good of others has already secured his own.”* There was a man who decided that though he was not rich, he would affect his generation. He began by paying compliments to everyone he saw, including taxi-drivers. Hear his reason: *“If I am nice to one driver, he’s likely to be nice to his next twenty passengers to the minimum. If they are in turn nice to the shopkeepers, waitresses and their families, then that my one gesture of goodwill might influence at least a thousand people. If only three people that I met today, have a happier day because of what I say to them, I might indirectly influence the attitude Of 3,000 people.”*

No wonder Helen Keller said: “I am only one, but still, I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.” Today’s scripture Vs. 28 says love (mercy) and faithfulness (truth) keeps a king safe. Through love (mercy), his throne is made secure. *Are you not a king and a priest onto God? You secure your good by seeking the good of others.*

*TODAY IS THE ODM ANNUAL DAY OF MERCY! Do Charity work and show Practical love. TAKE OFF POINTS ARE OGUDU AND LEKKI MOUNTAINS, 9AM. We are visiting Orphanages, Hospitals, Elderly People’s Homes, etc. ODM USERS SHOULD BE PRESENT! You secure your good by seeking the good of others!*

*PRAYER POINTS:* Take Song 1: There’s Not A Friend…

*THE BIBLE-IN-ONE-YEAR: PSALM 106-108*
*BY: BISHOP (DR) CHRIS E. KWAKPOVWE (CEK)*
_PUBLISHER/AUTHOR AND EDITOR-IN-CHIEF_

*Song 1: There’s Not A Friend*

1. There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our souls’ diseases:
No, not one! No, not one!

*Refrain:*

Jesus knows all about our struggles;
He will guide ‘til the day is done:
There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! No, not one!

2. No friend like Him is so high and holy,
No, not one! No, not one!
And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,
No, not one! No, not one!

3. There’s not an hour that He is not near us,
No, not one! No, not one!
No night so dark, but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! No, not one!

4. Did ever saint find this Friend forsake him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! No, not one!

5. Was e’er a gift like the Saviour given?
No, not one! No, not one!
Will He refuse us the bliss of heaven?
No, not one! No, not one!

LIVING WATER CAC DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Sunday, June 30, 2019.

UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS (II)

READ: Joshua 7: 1-12
MEMORISE:

Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep (Jonah 1:5).

EXPOSITION

“If everyone is your friend, then you are a fool”, says Albert Einstein. Proverbs 13:20 says, He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

When Jonah was boarding the ship going to Tarshish (Jon. 1:3), the Bible does not record that he took along any luggage, whatsoever. Therefore, where did the mariners get the luggage and wares they cast into the sea from? Definitely, they were the luggage and wares of other passengers in the ship. It is very possible for some of them to have embarked on that particular trip as a business trip; returning from where they had just finished buying the goods they were going to sell at their various destinations. Some others must have bought other items for family and personal use, but all these goods and items were wasted, just by the presence of a destiny waster called Jonah, who himself had no single pin to lose in the ship.

There is a similar account of Achan in Joshua 7:1ff. In verse 1, But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zarah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel. Now, only Achan stole the items, but the Lord was angry with the whole nation of Israel.

Furthermore, Joshua 7:5a says, And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men. What a terrible disaster, losing about 36 men in just one day, just because of the foolishness and greediness of a man who chose to disobey God, single-handedly bringing calamity upon the whole nation.

Some people have associated with Jonah and Achan as friends, married them as husbands or wives, business partners, etc., thereby losing great visions, fortunes, spiritually, materially, morally, physically, financially, socially and even economically. Jonah and Achan are both wasters of destinies. They have little, or nothing to lose but can make one lose everything. May God keep us from them.

PRAYER POINTS
