Daily Devotional for Sunday 2nd June
#1
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY, 2ND JUNE.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HIS GRACE

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery (1 Timothy 4:14).

In the scripture above, the Apostle Paul gave an important admonition to young Timothy, to take advantage of the grace of God. He emphasised the same thought in 2 Timothy 2:1, saying, “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

When God gives you a responsibility, He gives you the grace to accomplish the task. To neglect that grace or not to know that you have it could render your work ineffective. For example, if you’re called of God to be a pastor, there’s the grace for that office; it’s the pastoral grace. Once you recognise and acknowledge that you’re called into that office and graced for it as well, it’ll produce results for the glory of Christ, as you walk in that light.

Some people struggle and experience frustrations in ministry because they’re working and walking outside of God’s grace. Working with the Lord and for the Lord is a walk in glory when you lean on His grace to pilot you.

If you’re a pastor, an evangelist, cell leader or you lead in whatever capacity in the Church, and you’ve been experiencing difficulties carrying out that ministry, it’s time to take advantage of His grace. The gifts of God and the power of God work by the principle of recognition and proclamation (Philemon 1:6). Recognise that His grace is on you to function in that office, and keep proclaiming accordingly. This is also true for everyone who is called of God to fulfil any specific or significant role in the Kingdom.

Even now, activate the grace and power of God in your life. Affirm in faith, “I’m graced to excel and fulfil my destiny in Christ. I’m sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency, and His superabundant grace upon my life is sufficient for me in all things. I’m an able minister of the Gospel, because the grace and wisdom of God are at work in me mightily, to carry out the work of the ministry, in the Name of the Lord Jesus”. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your superabundant, overflowing and infinite grace that’s at work in me. I thank you for the advantage this supernatural power of promotion and unending success brings to my life. I live an extraordinary life of excellence, victory, and dominion, and reign as a king in this life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

John 1:16-17 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

#TALKINGSESSION

2ND JUNE.

KINDLY SAY THIS WORDS OUT LOUD.

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the great things you will accomplish through me today because my faith is strong and unwavering. I have overcome the systems of this world; therefore I refuse to be bound by the limitations that exist in the world. My life is upward and forward because I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. My body is your temple and your dwelling place.

I yield every fibre of my body to Your Word, as a living sacrifice, so that I might bring glory to your Name. No sickness shall reign in my body and sin shall not lord it over me, because I belong to you. Thank you for this great privilege, in Jesus Name. Amen.

God bless you

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: SUNDAY 2ND JUNE 2019
THEME: LOVE AND COMPASSION.
MEMORISE:
Let every one of us please his neighbour for
his good to edification. Romans 15:2
READ: Romans 15:1-6
1 We then that are strong ought to bear the
infirmities of the weak, and not to please
ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour
for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as
it is written, The reproaches of them that
reproached thee fell on me.
4 For whatsoever things were written
aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of
the scriptures might have hope.
5 Now the God of patience and consolation
grant you to be likeminded one toward
another according to Christ Jesus:
6 That ye may with one mind and one
mouth glorify God, even the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
MESSAGE
Love and compassion are the measure of
true Christianity. Our Lord Jesus Christ
emphasized this by identifying the
commandments to love God as the first and
general law, after which He declared the
directive to love fellow human beings as the
second most important law (Matthew
22:35-40). When we carefully consider love
in line with Genesis 1:28, it instantly
translates to a moral obligation. We all
therefore have n obligation under God to
one another, whether as leaders, pastors,
married couples, parents, siblings,
neighbors or simply as human beings.
Scripture further stresses a stronger and
higher responsibility for Christians and the
Church as a result of our special privileged
relationship with God. Many Christians do
not have a clear understanding of the
responsibilities that God has placed on us in
relation to our fellow human beings. Some
are still asking, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
If you must know, the answer is yes. God
expects you, as Christ’s ambassador in this
world, to be your brother’s and sister’s
keeper. We have a responsibility to our
brethren in the Lord and to the world at
large, to be the salt of the earth and beacons
of light in this world of darkness. We need
to live a life that is true to what the Lord said
about us in Matthew 5:13-14, which says:
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt
have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be
salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under
foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A
city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”
Every Christian has the responsibility to
represent Jesus Christ in the world, living as
channels of divine mercy and kindness, both
within the Church and out in the world.
Philippians 2:4-5 says:
“Look not every man on his own things, but
every man also on the things of others.Let
this mind be in you, which was also in Christ
Jesus:”
We must not close our ears to the cries of
those who are poor in worldly goods or
those poor in spirit (Luke 4:18, Proverbs
21:13). Many are desperately in need of
sustenance, some are enduring diverse
sicknesses and various forms of poverty,
while some other are in bondage to sin and
are being manipulated by the devil. We must
reach out to them all with the gospel of love.
Let us endeavor to correct, strengthen, and
encourage each other in love along the way,
making sure not to destroy anyone who falls
into error as a result of one weakness or the
other. Our light must shine so much that the
reflection would brighten the paths of
others in darkness and thereby bring glory
to God.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, strengthen me to manifest as a
problem solver to my generation, in Jesus’
Name.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 19-20
Jeremiah 48:21-39
AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
HYMN 5: LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU.
1.While passing thro' this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.
Refrain:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.
2. Your life's a book before their eyes,
They're reading it thro' and thro'
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?
Refrain
3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

SEEDS OF DESTINY:
BY DR. (PST.) PAUL ENENCHE
(DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE-DIGC)

SUNDAY 2ND JUNE, 2019

TOPIC:
WALKING IN THE BLESSING

SCRIPTURE: So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:9.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith connects a person to the blessing of God.

It has been established that faith is a doorway to profits (Hebrews 11:1). Therefore, to operate in faith is to connect profits in life and destiny.

Now, one profit of faith in the life of the child of God is access to the Blessing of God. Faith connects a person to the Blessing of God. To believe God is to see His goodness (Psalm 27:13). Faith is the doorway to existence in the world of the Blessing.

Let me give you a practical contemporary example: there are people that are popularly referred to as ‘Word-of-faith people’ because of their existence in the realm of brutal faith. They talk, act and do everything by faith. Therefore, God’s Blessing is evident in their lives. Some examples of these people of faith include Kenneth Hagin, Oral Roberts, Kenneth Copeland, etc.

Now, let me highlight few exploits of faith and the evidence of the Blessing of God in the lives of these people of faith: Oral Roberts built the Oral Roberts University at Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA which is a 110-floor storey building. Sometime ago, I stood on that ground and was captivated by the magnificence and awe of what God could do through a person of faith who was not a president of any country.

Kenneth E. A. Hagin distributed 325,000 magazines monthly free of charge for many years. Kenneth Copeland has given out 27 Aeroplanes as gifts to people.

Beloved, the faith realm is the blessing realm. Faith moves a person to an enviable status. The realm of faith is a fortunate realm. The faith realm is a realm of escape from the curses of life (Galatians 3:13-14). Have faith in God and embrace the practice of faith, and you are set for the Blessing of God.

Remember this: Faith connects a person to the blessing of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Make demands on the curse-dissolving Blessing of God upon your life.

2. Decide to walk in faith in order to attract the Blessing of God.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask that You release Your Blessing on my life in order to swallow every curse, shame and reproach. Give me the grace to walk in the realm of brutal faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PROFITABILITY OF FAITH.

DAILY READING: 2 Samuel 19:11-20:13, John 21:1-25, Psalm 120:1-7, Proverbs 16:16-17

AMAZING FACT: Christianity is the world largest religion with over 2.4billion adherents, about a third of the world’s population.

QUOTE: God delivers those who trust in Him. He delivers His servants that trust in Him. Culled from 15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL by Dr Paul Enenche.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Blessing of the Lord shall be evident in your life in this season, in Jesus’ Name

CHRISTIANITY: LIVING THE VICTORIOUS LIFE
READ: Romans 8:30-37

[30]Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.[31]What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?[32]He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?[33]Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.[34]Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.[35]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?[36]As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.[37]Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

MEMORISE: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).

EXPOSITION

A vast majority narrowly think and believe that Christianity is simply one of the religions of the world. This is not only erroneous but also a disservice to Christ, the Founder of Christianity. That Christianity includes religious activities does not make it one. It surpasses just belief in a deity. It is a life, way and practice of Christ.

The word “Christian” appears in not more than three occasions in the Bible. At Antioch, the disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26). In Acts of Apostles, again, Paul, while being tried before King Agrippa, the latter said, You almost persuade me to become a Christian (Acts 26:28).

King James Version says: Almost thou persuade me to be a Christian. Lastly, Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ, admonished people suffering as Christians not to be ashamed but to glorify God (1 Pet. 4:16).

To be a Christian confers on the individual a life of victory and dominion, in both physical and spiritual facets. Christianity is a call to live a daily, not occasional, victorious life. You, as a Christian, if truly, you are one, are to have victory over Satan, sin, self and the world. You are empowered to resist and not to assist these in any form. So, Christianity is full of life and life in full.

Stop ‘religionising’ it! Live it, act it, stay victorious in The First Overcomer’s name!

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, give me dominion over flesh that makes me a religionist rather than Your follower.
2. Oh Lord, help families to take their family altars seriously.
3. Father, shut up the mouth of devourers that are out to pull the Church down in our country.
EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: 2 Kings 7:19 – 9:32; John 10:8 – 10:29.

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL

A DEVOTIONAL BOOKLET FOR CHAMPIONS

DATE: SUNDAY 2ND JUNE, 2019
TOPIC: THE FARMER AND THE TREE!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: (EXODUS 20:1-17)

A farmer had an orchard from which a particular tree was bearing fruit very well and was meeting the farmer’s needs. Each time the farmer plucked fruit from the tree, he would celebrate the fruit so much and soon forgot to consider the tree producing the fruit. He unknowingly misplaced his priority.

He focused on the substance more than the source and gradually the tree began to die and the fruits were reducing in quality and quantity! He got to the tree on a certain day and was displeased with what he saw on it. A fellow farmer heard his complaints and blamed him for neglecting the tree, which was the source of the fruit, and paying attention to the fruit.

What a lesson for everyone! Do you know that many believers are just like the farmer in today’s story? They focus on their jobs more than their service for God! Never forget that the child/children God gave to you as blessings, are not supposed to be your idols. They are for signs and wonders of His glory (Isaiah 8:18)!

Did The Book (The Bible) not say, “THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME” (Exodus 20:3)? Why are you turning His blessings to your little gods? Have you forgotten that He is a jealous God and He will not share His glory with any person/thin? God want you to celebrate Him more than you celebrate His gifts to you!

God is your source and your Sustainer! He remains the only ONE who can permanently keep your home, job, family and blessings for you. *CELEBRATE THE GIVER AND NOT THE GIFT!* Let your focus be on Him than on any of His gifts/blessings, and more of it you shall receive!
This month is ODM ANNUAL MONTH OF MERCY! A month dedicated to do Charity work and show Practical Love. This should be done throughout JUNE 2019 wherever you are. It should involve visiting Orphanages, Hospitals, elderly people’s home, etc.

Sow a SEED OF MERCY into UBA, ACCT. NO. 1021784230 NAME: ODM MERCY OUTREACH or any account on page 29 of this booklet to help our visitation to Orphanages, Hospitals, Elderly Homes, etc. MERCY WILL NEVER ELUDE YOUR HOUSEHOLD!

PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 1: There’s Not A Friend.....
1. In your own words, pray about today’s word as led now.
2. Give the Lord glory for His love that is unfailing. Surrender every person/property in your life to Him again now. Tell Him that He is the greatest desire in all your life (Pray it well).
3. Repent from any idol/other gods in your life/ministry. What are the things you love so much that is affecting your obedience to God? Repent now!
4. Pray about this last month of the 1st half of 2019! Cancel LOSSES and false accusation! Uproot every idol from your life!
5. Pray the morning, afternoon and evening devotional prayers also on pages 7-9.
THE BIBLE-IN-ONE-YEAR: (PSALM 22-24)
BY: BISHOP (DR) CHRIS E. KWAKPOVWE (CEK)
PUBLISHER/AUTHOR AND EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Song 1: There’s Not A Friend

1. There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our souls’ diseases:
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain:
Jesus knows all about our struggles;
He will guide ‘til the day is done:
There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! No, not one!

2. No friend like Him is so high and holy,
No, not one! No, not one!
And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,
No, not one! No, not one!

3. There’s not an hour that He is not near us,
No, not one! No, not one!
No night so dark, but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! No, not one!

4. Did ever saint find this Friend forsake him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! No, not one!

5. Was e’er a gift like the Savior given?
No, not one! No, not one!
Will He refuse us the bliss of heaven?
No, not one! No, not one!
