Daily Devotional for Thursday 25th April

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY, 25TH APRIL.

FOREVER IN HIS PRESENCE

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Oftentimes, there’re Christians who, when they come to church, would say, “Lord, we’ve come into your presence today.” And when they leave, they feel they’ve left the presence of God. Some even pray for the presence of God to come down or follow them everywhere. But as a child of God, you don’t “come” into God’s presence nor go from it; you’re forever in His presence.

When you come into a place, no matter where it is, you come in, and with, God’s presence. You bear His presence. You’re the temple of the living God, who dwells in you by the Holy Spirit. When you were born again, Christ took up His abode in the quarters of your heart. He’s in you now, and you’re in Him. He didn’t come into you to leave again after some time; He’s forever in you.

Read the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:20; He said, “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” This was before the Holy Spirit came to take up His abode in the quarters of our hearts. He had said concerning the Holy Spirit in John 14:17, “…ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” It’s an everlasting indwelling. The Spirit of God dwells in you, and He’s the conveyor of the presence and blessings of God, and all that’s been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Have the consciousness that you’re a God-carrying vessel, and you live in His presence every day. This is what it means to be in Christ. You’re in the divine environment; the environment of His glory and divine essence. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m in Christ, and Christ is in me; what a union; and what a place to be! He’s graced my life with His glory, with His presence, and with Himself! In Him I live, and move, and have my being. What a blessing to be, not just a God-carrying vessel, but also the conveyor and dispenser of His divine presence. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

#TALKINGSESSION

25TH APRIL.

KINDLY SAY THESE WORDS OUT LOUD

Dear Father, I thank You for Your Word, the truth by which I live today and every day. Your Word has given me light and understanding, and has strengthened my faith to lay a hold of all that You’ve given to me in Christ Jesus. I am living triumphantly, making

my way prosperous, as I live in, and by, Your Word. I am perfected in Christ through the enlightenment and understanding granted me by the Spirit to know and live by the greater truths of God’s Word. I am confident that I will consistently make progress and walk in victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God bless you

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: THURSDAY 25TH APRIL 2019

THEME: THERE IS WORK TO DO.

MEMORISE:

As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. Proverbs 26:14

READ: Hebrews 4:8-11

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

MESSAGE

Life is a call to service. At the end of it, God has set a day of reckoning, when everyone must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive the reward of their stewardship, according to what they have done on earth, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10). When God created the world, He ordained work as a means of rendering service, in order for man to find fulfillment and obtain reward or praise. He also introduced regular periods of rest for man, just as He rested after creating the world. However, many people are over-stretching the need for rest by misusing and wasting away precious time. Such people forget that time measures life, and so time-wasting is a deadly shortcoming.

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28

God’s mandate to mankind in this scripture shows that we are called to a life of service. The Holy Spirit further tells us that we only have one opportunity to make good use of the gift that life is. In Hebrews 9:27 He says:

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

Knowing then that we have only one life to live, let us live our lives maximally for the glory of God. The story of David, the shepherd boy who later became king of Israel, serves as a perfect example in this case. As a little boy, David was in the wilderness, busy managing his family’s wealth. He was putting his life at risk while his brothers enjoyed the protective environment of the town with its fun and entertainment. Nevertheless, David carried out his duty without complaining, and he used the opportunity of his time in the wilderness to polish his musical talent and shooting skills. Down the line, his proficiency in music singled him out to play for the king, while his skill with the catapult was harnessed in the destruction of Goliath the blasphemer and enemy of God. Your diligence will single you out for honor in Jesus’ Name. on the other hand, excessive rest leads to idleness, laziness, boredom and a multitude of other sins that rush in to fill the vacuum created by idleness. Quite obviously, it was excessive rest and idleness that paved the way for David’s fall into adultery and murder (2 Samuel 11:1-5). Furthermore, Ezekiel 16:49 confirms that the “abundance of idleness” played a major role in the sins and eventual destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. How busy are you with the work God has placed in your hands?

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to discharge my duties well and finish strong, in Jesus’ Name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 31
Jeremiah 25:1-16

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 15: MUST I GO, AND EMPTY-HANDED

1. “Must I go, and empty-handed,”
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?

Chorus:
“Must I go, and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him:
Must I empty-handed go?

2. Not at death I shrink nor falter,
For my Savior saves me now;
But to meet Him empty-handed,
Thought of that now clouds my brow.

Chorus:

3. O the years in sinning wasted;
Could I but recall them now,
I would give them to my Savior,
To His will I’d gladly bow.

Chorus:

4. O ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
Up and work while yet ’tis day;
Ere the night of death o’ertake thee,
Strive for souls while still you

OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL BOOKLET FOR THE CHAMPIONS.

THURSDAY APRIL 25, 2019

TOPIC: GOD CAN USE UNEXPECTED SOURCES
BASIC SCRIPTURE: (JUDGES 4:1-24)

The Mystery of today’s long devotional scripture is that God used an unknown, common housewife, Jael the wife of Heber, to win the battle for a nation. Jael was used by God to finish what mighty Deborah and the powerful Barak had started and God wants you to know that in this STORY to GLORY year, 2019, He can use people (anybody) to bless you if you don’t underrate people!

Did He not use four despised lepers to bring about an economic breakthrough to a whole nation? Remember that it was an ordinary slave girl that your God used to change the story of the great General Naaman (2 Kings 5).

Who did God use to feed the crowd at the GREAT JERUSALEM JESUS CRUSADE? It was just a little lad! Who was used to feed the awesome prophet Elijah in famine? It was not a rich billionaire. It was a young widow.

I am being sent by that same God to announce to you that if you don’t look up to men or look down on men, but if you look up to Him this year, He will raise vessels of helpers to refresh your life/ministry.

This week and in this 2nd quarter of 2019, heaven will send someone you don’t know to bless you. Yes! God will use unexpected people to help your life and ministry. Stay open to God; don’t look down on people, don’t look up to any man and watch God supply your needs through unexpected sources.
If He could use ordinary Mrs. Jael Heber to paralyze the great Sisera, then He will raise helpers to fight your life’s battles! Hold on! Look up! This is your STORY to GLORY season! I see new helpers locating you in Jesus name!

Special Anointing Service: DESTINY HELPERS” THIS “SECRETS OF LOCATING ‘ THIS SATURDAY, 7.30 AM AT OGUDU ORIOKE, LAGOS!

PRAYER POINTS: Take any song of victory as led.
1. Thank God for the Word and pray on it as led now.
2. Repent from looking up to man or looking down on men in the past.
3. Lord, use any man, woman, boy or girl from anywhere to bless my life, family and ministry.
4. Lord, raise unexpected helpers for my life and ministry.
5. O Lord, disorganize all satanic plans to discourage my helpers.
6. Pray for your helpers as led seriously NOW!
7. Pray for all ODM Partners now! Pray for all who sowed the GLORY-PROVOKING SEED of January! O LORD, they must testify in Jesus name.
8. Pray on any other matter(s) affecting your peace.

LIVING WATER CAC DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

DESTINY HELPERS
READ: Esther 2:1-20.

MEMORISE: Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son, Solomon. (I Kings 1:12).

EXPOSITION

A destiny helper is someone who possesses what one needs to fulfill his/her destiny, and is ready and willing to release it to him/her. A destiny helper is also someone who knows the way to the top, and is willing to show the way to another person, irrespective of background, relations, culture, tribe, ethnic group, colour or race.

King David (I Kgs 1:1ff) had previously made a vow to Bathsheba that her son, Solomon, would be the next king after him, but Adonijah quickly took advantage of King David’s old age and, probably also, forgetfulness (due to his old age, too) to crown himself king with the help of some rebellious and irresponsible elder statesmen of the land.

However, Prophet Nathan heard the news and quickly summoned Bathsheba to the latest news and immediately also taught her what to do to salvage her life and that of her son, Solomon, and also for Solomon to take charge of what rightly belongs to him (I Kgs 1:11-14), Nathan the Prophet did not just counsel Bathsheba on what to do, he also made sure he gave his full support to the fulfillment of Solomon’s destiny. Now that’s a true destiny helper. At the end of the day, Adonijah was disgraced out while Solomon was enthroned as destined. Dear devout, people like Nathan are needed in our daily lives, for the fulfillment of our Destinies. Helpers who will not fold their hands and allow evil befall you. Those who would do everything possible to ensure you get to the top and fulfill your destiny.

Mordecai was also Esther’s destiny helper. The day Esther was adopted by Mordecai, after the death of her parents, little did Esther know that she had just landed in the hands of her destiny helper. Mordecai kept instructing her as to what to do step-by-step (Est. 2:10, 20), till he ensured her success. Not only that, Mordecai was always checking up on Esther on a daily basis to know how she was fairing, just to make sure she succeeds at last (2:11). Destiny helpers do not place undue conditions before they help. May God give us such people for our lives and destinies. Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, connect me with my destiny helpers.
2. Lord, raise people to fight for my interest at all times and even behind me in Jesus’ name.
3. Lord, remove every blockage that has been preventing my connection with my destiny helpers, in Jesus’ name.

EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: I Samuel 3:20 – 7:7; Luke 17:2 – 17:23.
GOOD MORNING AND DO HAVE A BLESSED DAY.
JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK VERY SOON, BE READY
