*TOPIC: GODLY WISDOM IN THE FAMILY*
“Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.” Matthew 1:19
*MESSAGE*
Godly wisdom is manifested in families when our reactions to issues are influenced by the Holy Spirit, despite other options at our disposal. Godly wisdom brings about better outcomes in any situation. The original plan of God for families is to live together in harmony. Conflicts are deliberate acts of the enemy to deny families of the blessings that come with harmony.
Since conflicts are inevitable in relationships, how do we handle them? In Matthew 1:18-25, we see that Mary who was espoused to Joseph showed up with an unexplainable pregnancy—an offence punishable by death (Deuteronomy 22:23-24). Surprisingly, Joseph opted for wisdom, despite the magnitude of the matter. Joseph could have done anything else but he chose to be patient. The Angel of God later appeared to him in his dream and unravelled the mystery. Imagine the privilege which the family could have lost.
Reactions to issues in the family should not be influenced by the magnitude of action, rather by love and wisdom. Godly wisdom sustains love and better understanding resulting in divine blessings.
*ACTION POINT*
?️ Apply wisdom in all things in your home. Let godly wisdom guide all your responses to issues to avoid regret.
*SCRIPTURES*
James 1:5; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Matthew 1:18-25
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Lord, according to Your Word, I ask for wisdom, give me in abundance in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, let wisdom supersede all my actions in Jesus’ name.
3. I refuse to be foolish in my decisions over all issues in Jesus’ name.
4. I command peace into every troubled family in my local assembly in Jesus’ name.
