_Hakuna matata_ roughly translates to “there are no troubles in Swahili language. The phrase was popularized in English by the 1994 Disney movie *_‘The Lion King,'_* where it’s translated as “no worries.” It has a connotation of not worrying about things outside a person’s control.
The characters in that film were trying to convince the young lion king that the past is the past and nothing good can come from it by dwelling on it. You can’t change it and most of the time, it just hurts you anyway. It is best to ignore the past and move on AFTER LEARNING FROM IT. Yes! I believe too that the phrase: DON’T WORRY – HAKUNA MATATA is in the Bible! In fact, this devotional is built daily around the philosophy of “STOP THE WORRY!
ALL YOU CAN DO IS ALL YOU CAN DO AND WHAT YOU CAN DO IS ENOUGH FOR GOD!” How do you fathom delivering all of God’s people from Egypt, the Commandments, and the crossing of the Red Sea? It seemed awfully intimidating to Joshua. So, what is
the secret of “moving on in High Water?

B. DO NOT ALLOW THE TO DEPART from your eyes – meditate daily on it! It will give you HOPE and COURAGE which paralyzes WORRY! Joshua 1:8 – “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…”
Hear Catherine Pulsifer: “The only thing you will ever accomplish by worrying is to elevate your stress levels.” Leo Buscaglia opined: *"Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.”* What’s the use of worrying? *Song 3. Blessed Assurance*
1. Blessed assurance; Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his spirit, washed in his blood.
*Refrain:*
_This is my story, this my song,_
_Praising my savior all the day long;_
_This is my story, this is my song,_
_Praising my savior all the day long._
2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my savior and happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with his goodness, lost in his love.
