Transfer: Man Utd, Juventus finally agree Lukaku-Dybala swap deal
Manchester United and Juventus have agreed a swap deal in principle involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, according to Sky Italia.
It is understood the deal now needs an agreement between United and Dybala for it to be completed.
Mariano Dybala, agent to the Juventus forward, was in London on Tuesday to discuss the terms of the transfer.
Tottenham and United are both interested in the 25-year-old, who is believed to be open to moving to the Premier League.
But it appears Dybala is heading to Old Trafford, after his agent held talks with United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward.
Dybala struggled for form last season, scoring just five Serie A goals, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival.
Lukaku, who looked set to join another Serie A side Inter Milan, will now join Juventus, after Cristiano Ronaldo gave the green light to the move.

Transfer: Real Madrid defender welcomes Pogba to LaLiga club
Real Madrid defender, Raphael Varane, has said Paul Pogba is welcomed at the club and believes his France team-mate would be a “fantastic” addition if he joined this summer.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and is believed to be keen on making the switch.
Varane, whose team’s pre-season struggles continued with a 1-0 loss to Tottenham at the Audi Cup on Tuesday, spoke about the 26-year-old’s future after the game.
“I think we have a team. Pogba is a good player, I know him very well. For any team he would be fantastic.
“I trust my team-mates. If new players come, we’ll see. I trust my team-mates,” Varane said.
Madrid have lost three of their four pre-season games, with their only victory coming over Arsenal on penalties at the International Champions Cup.

Money has not bought you Champions League – Cristiano Ronaldo mocks Barcelona
Ex-Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has cited former rivals Barcelona as proof that money cannot buy success in the Champions League.
Ronaldo stated this when he picked up his Marca Leyenda lifetime achievement award on Monday.
The Portugal captain is hoping to become just the second player, to win the Champions League with three different clubs.
“It is always the year of Juventus, of Madrid, of Barca,” he told Marca when asked whether the Bianconeri were among the favourites for the competition.
“In a competition such as the Champions League, only one team can win.
“I’ll use the example of Barcelona: look at how much money they have invested in the past five years in players and they have not won a Champions League. That is not how this works. Juve has brought in very good reinforcements and they are a team who are going to fight to win, as they always do.
“But it all depends upon many factors: the draw, the groups, the moments, the injuries, the luck.”

The American citizen who was born in England will stay on until October for an upcoming five-game victory tour of friendly games around the US before leaving the role she has held since 2014.
Quote:"The opportunity to coach this team and work with these amazing women has been the honor of a lifetime," Ellis said in a statement.
"I want to thank and praise them for their commitment and passion to not only win championships but also raise the profile of this sport globally while being an inspiration to those who will follow them."

"Jill was always extremely passionate about this team, analytical, tremendously focused and not afraid to make tough decisions while giving her players the freedom to play to their strengths.
"She helped raise the bar for women's soccer in the USA and the world and given the history of this program, the level of success she achieved is even more remarkable."

Dybala 'asks For £350,000 A Week To Join Man United
Paulo Dybala has told Manchester United he wants £350,000 a week to join them from Juventus and enable Romelu Lukaku to complete his move to Italy.
An agreement on Dybala’s personal terms will be the final piece in the jigsaw for one of the summer window’s most exciting transfers.
His representatives have made it clear they are looking for a significant increase on the £6.5million a year he takes home after tax in Turin.
Dybala wants £9m a year after tax at Old Trafford which would launch him into the highest tier of Premier League earners alongside Mesut Ozil at Arsenal.
This is more than United were hoping to pay although it is an early in the talks about personal terms and the difference is not expected to block the transfer.

Transfer: Neymar dumps PSG
Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, forward, Neymar has now decided that he does not want to play for the club again in any official matches.
According to Sport, the Brazilian international told PSG that he wants to leave the club and is now waiting to see if a move to Barcelona can be facilitated.
The Spanish newspaper is reporting that Neymar is currently training on his own at the club’s pre-season tour in China and has not featured in any game for the Ligue 1 champions.
DAILY POST had reported that PSG have set the price for Neymar, with the French club demanding €300m (£273m).
The 27-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculations all summer, with Barcelona keen on bringing him back to the Camp Nou.
However, PSG are not interested in a possible player swap which has been suggested by the Spanish La Lig champions.
Neymar is under contract until 2022, giving the French giants plenty of leverage in negotiations.
PSG sporting director, Leonardo, recently admitted that the club is prepared to sell Neymar after he failed to report for pre-season training some weeks ago.
He said: “PSG affirms that the player Neymar Jr was not present at the time and place required, without prior authorisation from the club.
“PSG regrets this situation and will take appropriate action.”

Transfer: Crystal Palace to get shocking £60million bid for Zaha
Crystal Palace are facing a fresh fight to keep hold of Wilfried Zaha after Napoli entered the race for his signature, according to Sky Sports.
The Italian club have responded to losing out to Arsenal on Nicolas Pepe by turning their attention to Zaha.
The Gunners had previously identified Zaha as a transfer target but opted for Pepe, after seeing a bid for the Palace winger rejected.
Napoli had made Pepe their primary target, but Arsenal are now poised to complete a £72million deal to take the Lille forward to the Emirates.
This has prompted the Serie A club to explore other options.
And it is understood that Napoli are now willing to pay £60million to land Zaha.

EPL: Only time will tell if Lampard will be successful at Chelsea – Mourinho
Former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has said that only time will tell if the club’s new manager, Frank Lampard, will be successful at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard became Blues’ boss after leading Derby to the Championship play-off final which the Rams lost to Aston Villa.
He took over from Maurizio Sarri, who is now Juventus manager.
Lampard will have his first real test against Manchester United in the Premier League on August 11.
Asked if he thinks Lampard will be a success at Chelsea, Mourinho told Sky Sports, “Only time [will tell].
“It would be nice and easy for me to say, because I love him, that he’s going to be a phenomenal manager.
“It would be very nice for me to say, but I’m not going to say that, and I cannot also say I don’t believe he’s going to do it, because that’s not the way I feel
“I feel that he has a potential, I feel that he loves, which is a very important thing, he loves – that’s the reason why he is there – and I wish him the best but only time can speak and in a few years we will see.”

Aston Villa have signed goalkeeper Tom Heaton from Burnley, the newly promoted Premier League club said on Thursday.
Financial details were not disclosed, but British media reported that Villa would pay about eight million pounds for the 33-year-old, who made 22 appearances for Burnley in all competitions last season.
“I am delighted that Tom is joining Aston Villa,” head coach Dean Smith told the club’s website here.
“He’s done fantastically well for Burnley over the past few years and his experience and knowledge of the Premier League will be a major asset to us this season.”
Heaton came through Manchester United’s academy but never made a senior appearance for the club. He joined Burnley in 2013 and went on to make 96 Premier League appearances.

August 2, 2019
Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante has dismissed reports linking him with a move away from Frank Lampard’s side to Paris Saint-Germain.

DAILY POST had reported that Kante had drawn interest from PSG.
“PSG? It’s always rewarding to be solicited by big clubs. When there are great coaches who see you in their project, to accomplish great things with their club, it’s nice but in the end, I try to see where I am and what I feel in my club,” Kante told Yahoo Sport.

Transfer: Barcelona reveal offer for Coutinho
on
August 2, 2019
Barcelona have reportedly received a formal bid for Brazilian forward, Philippe Coutinho, according to Sport.
The player is being chased by Manchester United and Manchester City.
Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona in a club record £142 million deal in January 2018.
He, however, failed to pick up form in Spain, and Barcelona are now keen to offload him this summer.
The newspaper reports that the La Liga champions are optimistic about completing a sale and already have an official bid on the table from an unnamed club.
Barca want a permanent deal for the player but won’t rule out their options as they look to avoid making a big loss on one of their highest-paid players.
The offer will allow Coutinho to continue earning the same wage, but Barça will weigh their options and have considered the possibility of letting him go on an initial loan with the obligation to buy next summer.
England remains Coutinho’s most likely destination, even if officials at the Camp Nou are keeping quiet about reported interests from United and City.

Paul Pogba fears he could be priced out of a dream move to the Bernabeu – with Real Madrid facing a staggering £270million bill to sign him from
Manchester United.
Madrid fear United will demand at least £150m for the 26 year-old World Cup winner who cost them £89m when he signed from Juventus three years ago.
On top of that Madrid will have to stump up £500,000-a-week in wages for the midfielder adding up to an eye-watering £26million-a-year.
With Pogba wanting at least a four year-contract, that amounts to a whopping £104million in wages over the term of his contract.
Pogba's controversial agent Mino Raiola is believed to be demanding at least 10 per cent of any fee between the clubs for brokering the deal - putting another £15million on the bill.
That adds up to a total package of £270million – a sum that has stopped Madrid in their tracks.
Bernabeu President Florentino Perez doesn't want to commit that amount of cash on Pogba – especially with Zinedine Zidane's future not totally assured.
Reports circulating in Spain suggest Perez would happily appoint Jose Mourinho if Madrid decide to part company with Zidane, who lost a pre-season friendly to rivals Atletico Madrid 7-3 in America recently.
If that is indeed Madrid's plan, it would kill any approach for Pogba who was called a “virus” by Mourinho during his time at Old Trafford.
Pogba missed United's final warm-up game of the season against AC Milan at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Saturday with the club claiming he had a slight injury.
But it is believed Pogba is getting twitchy with time running out before the English transfer window slams shut on Thursday.
United could still offload Pogba until the end of August to a foreign buyer – but United want a replacement by Thursday if Madrid are serious about making a move.

Transfer: Frank Lampard tells Chelsea midfielder to leave club
August 4, 2019
Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has told Midfielder Danny Drinkwater to leave the club, according to Daily Mail UK.
The former Leicester City midfielder was not part of Chelsea’s squad that defeated Red Bull Salzburg 5-3 Wednesday night.
The England midfielder also did not travel to Germany for Chelsea’s final pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
Drinkwater did not play a single competitive minute under former manager, Maurizio Sarri, last season.
Brighton’s manager, Graham Potter has already indicated interest to sign Drinkwater.
The newspaper reports that the Brighton boss wants the player on a season-long loan deal to enhance his midfield options.
Chelsea bought Drinkwater for £35m after he helped Leicester City win the Premier League with the Foxes in 2016.
He has made just five Premier League starts in his two years for Chelsea.

Transfer: Coutinho decides on leaving Barcelona for Arsenal
on
August 4, 2019
Barcelona playmaker, Philippe Coutinho has no intention of joining Arsenal on loan, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The La Liga champions are open to selling the 26-year-old as they want to make room for Neymar’s return.
It is understood that Barca are even prepared to take a loss on the £142million deal they agreed with Liverpool in January 2018.
The club would also consider a season-long loan deal for Coutinho, if anyone agrees to pay a fee in the region of €30m (£27.4m).
But Coutinho is ready to stay put at Camp Nou and will not leave on a temporary deal.
His priority is to remain at Barca for another season.
