TOPIC: STRONGER EVERY DAY


Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1).

There’s no better time to be strong in the Lord, taking advantage of all His might, than in these last days. You have to be strong in the spirit. Paul the Apostle, in writing to the church in Ephesus, said, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10). How important this is for us today.


There’ll be a time of testing in your life, and in that testing period, you must remain in the Lord. There may be so much happening in your life; the challenges may be fierce and the storms raging hard; but be strong in the Lord; in His grace. He said, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord...” (1 Corinthians 15:58).


The Word says in Matthew 10:22, “...he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” You have to not just finish but finish stronger than how you started. That’s the path of the righteous; it’s “...like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day” (Proverbs 4:18 ESV).


In Christ, we get stronger; the glory continues to increase. It’s from faith to faith, glory to glory, and grace heaped upon grace. That’s the life He’s given us. As long as you’re strong in the Lord—keeping His Word in your heart and in your mouth—you’ll continually walk in victory and dominion.

Yes, there’re tests, trials and challenging times in our journey of faith, but the Bible says, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10). To gripe and cower when situations challenge your faith is to checkmate your chances of promotion. Recall what the Spirit says in James 1:2: “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” He knows that victory is in our spirit.


Never be overwhelmed by any situation, for there’s a strengthener in you—the Holy Spirit. And in Him, by Him, and through Him you’ve overcome: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Praise God!

PRAYER

Thank you, heavenly Father, for granting me, according to the riches of your glory, to be strengthened with might by your Spirit in my inner man. I’m continually strengthened from within and invigorated with miracle-working ability, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

MESSAGE: 
The promises of God in Christ are Yea and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20); this means that any promise of God makes all believers in Christ will definitely come to pass. Isaiah 26:1-3 says:
“In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

For a fellow to enjoy this benevolence however, some conditions must be met. Firstly, you must be born again (John 3:3,5). Secondly, you must believe every word that proceeds from the mouth of God – that is faith. You can prove that you believe in God’s word by obeying it. James 1:22-25 says “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves….but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

When a man does the will of God as contained in His word, he is emboldened to trust the Lord for his miracles. Remember the story of Daniel? After he was thrown in the den of lions, the king went early in the morning to confirm that the God of Daniel is great and mighty. He asked “O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?” (Daniel 6:20). Instead of the lions roaring back at the king, it was Daniel who replied with the voice of triumph. He said “……My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” (Daniel 6:21-22). Daniel’s experience was in line with the word of the Lord in Isaiah 43:2 which says:
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Kindly note however, that Daniel was able to enjoy God’s protection because he lived a life of holiness. Isaiah 59:1-2 clearly shows that iniquity prevents God from saving a person. From this day onward, divine protection will be your portion in Jesus’ name. Ensure however, that you are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, in righteousness (Psalm 91:1-3). 

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please keep me in Your perfect peace at all times; I trust in You alone.

TOPIC: DISCOVERY: A KEY THAT UNLOCKS DESTINY.

SCRIPTURE: The man cried against the altar by the word of the Lord, O altar, altar, thus says the Lord: Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and on you shall he offer the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall be burned on you. 1 Kings 13:2 (AMP).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Discovery is a key that opens a man’s destiny. 

Keys are essential assets of life. Keys are indispensable to life because they facilitate access and exits. 

However, being in possession of keys alone is not enough. It is one thing to be in possession of keys but it is another thing to be in possession of the right keys. This is why when you try to open a door with a wrong key, it would not open. 

Now, there are keys that open one’s destiny. Today, we shall look at one of such keys, and it is called Discovery. 

It has been confirmed that discovery facilitates the fulfilment of destiny. King Josiah was an example of people who fulfilled destiny through the key of discovery. 

Before he was born, there was a prophecy that went ahead of him. In 1 Kings 13, there was a man of God from Judah who prophesied that a child by the name Josiah would offer the bones of the false prophets upon the altar. 

Now, this prophecy did not come to pass for many years until one day, king Josiah opened the Scripture and found or discovered the prophecy about himself (2 Kings 23:1-16). He was living a normal life until he saw himself in the book, until he discovered his place in destiny and his life changed. 

Beloved, discovery is a key that opens a man’s destiny. Your destiny opens up when you discover God’s Purpose for your life. Therefore, make up your mind to discover what God has said about you.

Remember this: Discovery is a key that opens a man’s destiny. 

ASSIGNMENTS:

2. Study the Scriptures and ask God to reveal your place in destiny to you.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for opening my eyes to see Your Word today. I ask that You show me my place in destiny. Help me to discover myself, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
