Daily Devotional for Saturday 10th July
#1
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

SATURDAY 10TH JULY 2021.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: PROSPERITY BY GRACE

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth... (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Prosperity has nothing to do with how hard you fast and pray; it’s the Lord’s doing. God is the One who prospers you. He delights in your prosperity (Psalm 35:27). You don’t have to wonder whether or not God wants you to prosper. He doesn’t want you to put your trust in step-by-step human calculations, because that won’t work. They may seem to work for some time, but they won’t last.

True and lasting prosperity comes by grace.
A story is told in Mark 10, of a rich young ruler’s attitude to wealth. He wanted to know what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus told him to obey all the commandments; but he said, “Master, all these have I observed from my youth.” The Bible says Jesus looked at him with love, and said to him, “Go and sell all that you have, and give it to the poor, and come and follow me” (Mark 10:21). At that, the rich young ruler went away sad. He was tied to his possessions, for the Bible says he had great possessions; or as someone rightly put it: “his great possessions had him.”

Jesus then looked round about and said to His disciples, “...How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!” (Mark 10:23). Jesus was letting them understand that salvation wasn’t going to be by their money, or great possessions, but by the Spirit of God. Jesus wanted the rich young man to put his trust, not in his wealth, but in God, the giver of wealth.

Your prosperity isn’t dependent on any man, your business, the systems and governments of this world, or the economy, but on God. It’s by His grace. Now you can understand why He says in 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” The power that God gives His children to get wealth is spiritual power, not political power or economic power. It’s the power He gives every Christian to propagate God’s righteous course. Praise God!

CONFESSION

My purpose in life is to establish God’s righteousness in the earth and in the hearts of men around the world. And I’m blessed with all I require to carry this out. Therefore, I’m committed to advancing God’s agenda, favouring His righteous course with my time and resources, for His glory. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

1 Chronicles 29:12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC; And God is able to make all grace (every favor andearthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the needbe self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

Psalm 35:27 AMPC Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Acts 20:17-38 & Job 22-24

2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Luke 8:1-10 & Joshua 6

#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN

I affirm that my heart is full of joy! I rejoice exceedingly today with joy unspeakable and full of glory, for the Lord has done great and wondrous things in my life! I rejoice in His goodness, for He has filled my mouth with laughter. Hallelujah.

I am filled with the fullness of God, loaded with all power, glory, might, and grace of divinity! I am strengthened on the inside, for the joy of the Lord in my heart is my strength. Gloom, depression, and heaviness are far from me, for I carry an atmosphere of joy with me everywhere I go.

I am rightly positioned today, in God’s place of opportunity for me. Wisdom guides me and moves me from within to take the right steps that are consistent with God’s purpose and calling for my life. The Lord has glorified me and I am not small.

Therefore, I refuse to think or act small. I think big and I do big things. I walk in supernatural prosperity and enjoy my glorious inheritance in Christ Jesus today, and everyday. Hallelujah! I will never lose my way. I am set on the path of success, glory, and victory!

I walk in preordained pathways, for predestination is at work in me! The course of events in my life has been structured by God to bring Him glory, having established me to fulfil my destiny of Him. Hallelujah!

I refuse to worry about anything in this life because I am a child of God, and I know all things work together for my good.

No negative thought, comment, or situation can distract me from the work God has planned for me to do! I live every day, in line with God’s will and purpose for me. Blessed be God.

God bless you

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SATURDAY JULY 10 2021

THEME: THE MINISTRY OF CARE

MEMORISE:

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

READ:
Romans 15:23-29

23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

MESSAGE:

In today’s Scriptural passage, Apostle Paul teaches us one missing ingredient of true discipleship in today’s contemporary Church: the ministry of care. Despite the great anointing with which Apostle Paul was ministering to the Jews and Gentiles alike, he was still particular about the ministry of care.

Jesus Christ taught on the importance of hospitality when he said:

For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Mark 9:41

In Matthew 25:35-40 He says:

…For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? ...And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The Bible reinforces this in James 2:15-16:

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit

Children of God must engage in the ministry of care along with any other that we may have been called into. This makes our calling a complete and perfect one. The needy among us should be given consideration at all times, even as we preach the gospel to them (James 2:15-16). Indeed, many have testified that taking care of the needy has provided opportunities for effective soul-winning.

As a Christian, are you socially responsible as directed in Isaiah 58:6-7?

ACTION POINT:

Commit a part of your income to meeting the needs of those who lack one thing or the other, in your community or Church.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Psalm 60-62

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 23
STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING

1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let his praises ring;
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

Refrain:

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Saviour;
Standing, standing,
I'm standing on the promises of God.

2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail.
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.

[Refrain]

3. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to him eternally by love's strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword,
Standing on the promises of God.

[Refrain]

4. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call,
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

[Refrain]

SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PAUL ENENCHE.

SATURDAY 10TH JULY, 2021.

TOPIC: THANKSGIVING: A SECRET OF SUPERNATURAL ABUNDANCE.

SCRIPTURE: And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. John 6:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Appreciation is a major secret of supplies and abundance in the glory.

Our anchor scripture makes it clear that thanksgiving provokes supernatural supplies. The lifestyle of gratitude is key to accessing supernatural supplies.

In John 6:11-12, when Jesus saw the five loaves and two fishes, he lifted them up and gave thanks and they multiplied. This shows how important it is to be tirelessly grateful to God.

Some years ago, I told my father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo that there was so much to do for God – things like church expansion and planting but what was coming in seemed not to be  enough to do the things that needed to be done for God. Then he looked at me and asked, “What came in on Sunday, what did you buy or sell for it to come in?” I said, “Nothing.”

Then he said, “Alright. If you are not responsible for how it came, you didn’t buy or sell, yet it came, then you have to be tirelessly grateful to God for the flow to be sustained. If you are tirelessly grateful, God will multiply the inflow”. What a counsel!

Following this counsel, I told our finance officers that anytime they are sorting out inflow, they should do it praising God because Jesus praised God on what was in His Hands (John 6:11). And it multiplied.

Beloved, in your own personal resources, don’t compare yourself with another person. Rather, tell God, “Lord, I appreciate you for my level. There are those who don’t have anything at all. Thank You for this one bedroom apartment. There are those who are looking for where to sleep”.  And if your appreciation is confirmed, your elevation is guaranteed.

Appreciation is a major secret of supplies and abundance in the glory.

Remember this: Appreciation is a major secret of supplies and abundance in the glory.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Go through today’s message again.

2. Make up your mind to appreciate always for what you have and where you are.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to live a life of appreciation always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: ABUNDANCE IN THE GLORY

QUOTE: If you can show appreciation to God, no devil can succeed in destroying you. Culled “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Ecclesiastes 6-8

REFLECTION: God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo said, “Appreciation is application for more”. Until appreciation is in place, multiplication is not in view. Appreciate.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: I decree multiplication upon the work of your hands in Jesus’ Name.
