THURSDAY 25TH FEBRUARY.



THE SPIRIT HAS BEEN POURED OUT


And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions (Joel 2:28).


The Bible says “...no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost” (1 Corinthians 12:3). No one can confess the Lordship of Jesus or decide to serve God, except drawn by the Holy Spirit. When the Bible says the word of salvation is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart (Romans 10:8), it’s the Holy Spirit that puts that word in your heart. 


Right from when someone professes the Lordship of Jesus for salvation, it’s the Holy Spirit already working in his or her life.
God, knowing that everyone needs the Holy Spirit to believe the Gospel, said in our theme verse, “…I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy….” Note the underlined phrase, “all flesh.” In fact, the Complete Jewish Bible clarifies it. It says, “After this, I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters will prophesy…” (Joel 3:1 CJB). So, the “all flesh” in the KJV actually means “all humanity.”


The Spirit has been poured out on ALL HUMANITY; this is the reason anyone today can hear and receive the Gospel. In Acts 2, the Bible says a large crowd of Jews came from different nations of the world to celebrate Pentecost (Read Acts 2:9-12). As Peter ministered the Gospel to them, three thousand of them gave their hearts to Christ.


The next time Peter ministered, it was five thousand souls that got converted (Acts 4:4). Before long, there was a multitude of believers in Jerusalem! Why? The Holy Ghost had been poured out on all men, as promised in Joel 2:28. Glory to God!


This is why we preach the Gospel, because we know everyone has the capacity to accept the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is all over the world, working, convicting the world of sin and drawing men to righteousness. Praise God!


PRAYER

I’m a partner with God in changing the world; His partner in soul winning. What an honour it is to preach the Gospel to all men upon whom the Holy Ghost has been poured out! The hearts of men and women around the world are made ready to receive the Gospel today; it’s reaching all nations and every creature, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I walk in preordained pathways, for predestination is at work in me! The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yes, I have a goodly heritage. I’ve been brought into a wealthy place by the Spirit of God; therefore, I am not seeking help, for I am mightily helped of the Lord. 


Daily, God’s Word is building me up spiritually, physically, financially, emotionally, and otherwise. I will always be a success; soaring high even in hard times. No matter what’s happening around the nations of the world, I am built strong by the Word. 


I am God’s building, I keep getting taller and taller
every day. I can never be at the same spot; a thousand times NO, come tomorrow the glory of God in my life is increased. Everywhere I go, and in everything I do, the Word of God is delivering to me my inheritance. 


I am graced for my assignment! I’ve got divine favour; everywhere I turn, good is channeled towards me. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

THEME:  DANGERS OF ALCOHOL I

MEMORISE:
 
Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Proverbs 23:29 -30

MESSAGE:
 
Many people have argued about whether it is right for a Christian to drink alcohol or not. Some say it is okay to drink but not to drink too much. However, that is not what my Bible says. The Bible says that you should not even look at alcohol no matter how alluring it might seem to you.
 
“Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his color in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Proverbs23:31-32
 
You see, the Bible says if you as much as look at alcohol, it will eventually bite you like a serpent. I think that alone should be enough to make you stay away from alcohol.
 
No alcoholic can make it to heaven. How do I know? It is there in our Bible reading for today- Proverbs 23:33:
"Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things."
 
Anyone who takes alcohol will behold strange women and their heart will utter perverse things. Can someone who lusts after strange women make it to heaven? Can a person whose heart is full of perverse things go to heaven? The answer is no, so someone who drinks alcohol cannot be serious about making heaven.
 
Stop taking alcohol. You cannot control the influence of alcohol; it rules over whoever takes it. However not only will it rule over the fellow, it will also bring evil to the person. A number of evil things amongst several others that could befall an alcoholic are listed in our Bible reading for today. The alcoholic will have woes, that is, curses. An alcoholic will have sorrows, in other words, such a person will be depressed. A person who takes alcohol will have contentions, that is, he or she will always be fighting one thing or the other. People who take alcohol will have babblings: complaints upon complaints. They will have wound without cause - wounds to their lives and aspirations. They will have redness of eyes which reflects a violent heart. I could go on and on.
 
Certainly, no bottle of beer, wine or liquor is worth any of the evils mentioned above.
 
Beloved, abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
 
ACTION POINT:
 
Don't drink any form of alcohol and If you know anyone who does, show them the message for today.

 *TOPIC: THE CENTRE FOR LIFE, HEALING, HEALTH AND SAFETY* 
 
?️You cannot die like a chicken. Any devil or force of darkness that is pursuing you is only pursuing you to their own death.

 *SCRIPTURE* ?: But upon mount Zion, there shall be deliverance… Obadiah 1:17

 *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* ?: You cannot die like a chicken. Any devil or force of darkness that is pursuing you is only pursuing you to their own death.

It has been confirmed that God has made His church a place of safety where He secures the lives of His people. The church is the ground for healing and deliverance. That is why we see diverse healings and deliverances all the time in church. 

Beloved, if disease or death pursues you to church, that disease or death returns to the sender. People come to church to live and not to die. They come to church to be healed and not to be afflicted with sickness. And that is your portion in Jesus’ Name.

In one of our Tuesday Healing and Deliverance services, a lady testified of how she miraculously survived being hit and dragged on the road by a Toyota Hilux van. She said she could hear people shout: “The girl is dead!”

She said that in those moments of danger while in the shadows of death, the Lord appeared to her using my face as her pastor and said, “You cannot die like a chicken”. 

You know, stray chickens easily get hit by vehicles on the road and die cheaply, but God appeared to her to tell her that she won’t die cheaply like a chicken.  

While she was still being dragged on the road by the moving vehicle, she kept hearing that voice, “You cannot die like a chicken!” When the Hilux van finally stopped, her bones were already badly damaged. She could not lift her leg or turn it. People literally packed her to the hospital. 

That same day while on the hospital bed, she had another encounter in the night. God visited her in the dream of the night using the face of my wife, Dr Becky Enenche and told her to lift up her leg.

When she woke up the following day on the hospital bed, a doctor told her to lift her legs. She did, and then realised that God had healed her.

Beloved, you cannot die like a chicken. Any devil or force of darkness that is pursuing you is only pursuing you to their own death.
