TOPIC: PEACE IS FROM GOD


These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33)


Paul the Apostle declared: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not…” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). The god of this world is Satan, and he’s the one responsible for the mess and chaos in the world.


The way the world is right now, the structures and systems of the world that’s driven by selfishness, wickedness, greed and hatred is designed by Satan. The implication of this is that the systems and structures of this world can never give peace. Peace is from God, just as righteousness is from God.


It’s impossible for people who have never received the life and nature of God to deliver true peace. Not even your family and friends can give you lasting peace, happiness, and joy. In John 14:27, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Blessed Be God!


The peace the world is looking for is in Jesus Christ; no wonder it eludes them, because they’re searching for it in the wrong places. The Bible says, “...When they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape (1 Thessalonians 5:3). This is the dilemma that the world is in today.


In our theme verse, Jesus said, “...In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” He overcame the world and gave you the victory over the world. It makes no difference what’s going on in the world, be at peace.


The peace that you have in your spirit is the peace of Jesus Christ; it gives you power over crises. Even in adverse circumstances, when it seems there’s trouble everywhere, His peace garrisons your heart and mind, causing you to be at rest in prosperity. Hallelujah!


CONFESSION

No matter what happens, irrespective of the turmoil, I’m unperturbed; I have the peace of Jesus Christ in my heart. Therefore, I’m full of confidence, because the Champion of Peace is my Lord! I have peace without agitation, full of rest and prosperity. Blessed be God

I affirm that Christ is alive in me; He is my life, my strength, my wisdom, and my righteousness. I am energized on the inside for the supernatural; I think and talk differently, for the Word of God has renewed my thinking and given me the mindset of the righteous. Hallelujah! 

I’ve been ushered into a life of unlimited possibilities, victories, and dominion by the wisdom of God. There’s no regret or uncertainty in my path because I live in, and by, the Word of God! Everywhere I go, divine wisdom is heard in my words, and seen in my actions! 


I live and function in God’s perfect will, having insight into the realities of the Kingdom. Hallelujah! I know my divine origin; I’m from Zion, the city of the living God. Therefore, I cannot be subject to the principles of this world’s system. 

I am a heavenly citizen, seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms! I am filled with the fullness of God, thus, the wisdom of God has made His home in the quarters of my heart. 


The eyes of my understanding are enlightened; I can see the invisible and I am empowered to do the impossible. Hallelujah! I function from the standpoint of advantage, power, and excellence. Blessed be God!

MEMORISE:
 
I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.  Daniel 4:2
 
READ:  Matthew 10:32-33
 
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
 
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
 
MESSAGE:
 
Children are testifiers. If you give a child a gift, he or she would tell everyone about it. Children also boast a lot about their parents and the benefits they get from them. If you have just got a car, it is most likely that your child will want you to take him or her to school in it so as to show off to their friends. If you give a child a gift, if possible, he or she will tell the whole world about it.
 
Do you tell everyone what God has done for you or are you ashamed to talk about Him in public? Do you share testimonies of His wondrous works that will make others want to serve your God? I tell stories because I cannot help but brag about the things my God has done. These testimonies have encouraged people; some say "If God can do this, then I will serve Him too".
 
There was a couple who fought every night, so much so that they became a subject of mockery to their neighbors. This went on until someone invited them to The Redeemed Christian Church of God. Both of them gave their lives to Christ and the fighting stopped. That night, their neighbors did not sleep because they were waiting for them to fight as usual; however, they were disappointed. The neighbors watched for some more days until one of them summoned the courage to ask the couple why they had not been fighting. They told him that they had met Jesus at a Church; the neighbor said "Really? I must follow you to that Church". Before long, they introduced all their neighbors to Christ.
 
Your testimony is powerful enough to win souls for Christ. The people of the world brag about their witchdoctors, saying things like "There is no problem this Baba cannot solve, he solved this and that problem" and they end up winning their friends over. Your God is greater than any witchdoctor; indeed,
He created all things, including the witchdoctors. ln Jeremiah32:27, He says:
           
"•••I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?
 
Why then can't you brag about Him too and use your testimonies to win souls for Him? Why not tell someone going through a difficult time that your God can solve that problem? Don't keep quiet about the things God has done for you; use them to win souls to His kingdom.
 
Action Point:
 
Make sure you share a testimony of something God did for you recently with an unbeliever today.

 *TOPIC:  UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLINE*
 
?️Beloved, the difference between where you are today and where you will be tomorrow is a product of your saying “NO” to some things and saying “YES” to other things. It is not possible to see distinction without determination. 

 *SCRIPTURE* ?: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. 1 Corinthians 9:27

 *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* ?: Discipline is the willingness to pay the price or the capacity to give what it takes to arrive at excellence.

Discipline has been confirmed to be a major key or pathway to a life of excellence and distinction.

From our anchor Scripture, discipline is seen as being hard on yourself so it can be easy in life. Discipline is rejecting the unprofitable in favour of the profitable; it is delaying gratification to establish satisfaction. 

Discipline is living a life that is under control, a life that is scheduled, a life that is connected to productive and profitable routine. You know, routine determines result; schedule determines success, and rules make rulers. That is why you cannot see a person who is a rule breaker become a real ruler. 

Beloved, the difference between where you are today and where you will be tomorrow is a product of your saying “NO” to some things and saying “YES” to other things. It is not possible to see distinction without determination. 

Discipline is the willingness to pay the price or the capacity to give what it takes to arrive at excellence. Discipline or determination affects excellence. 

God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo defined discipline as doing what is required to get at what is desired. So, it’s doing what it takes to get to where you want to be. If the top is your desire, then what to do to get there is called discipline. There is no distinction for the undisciplined.

 *Remember this* ?: Discipline is the willingness to pay the price or the capacity to give what it takes to arrive at excellence.

 *ASSIGNMENTS* :

 *1. Make up your mind to embrace discipline at all cost* .

 *2. Refuse to be lazy in order not to end in mediocrity* .

 *PRAYER* ??: O Lord, I ask that You give me the grace to be disciplined at all cost. I reject the life of laziness and compromise, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
