Obafemi used to be in a relationship with Abigail, the younger sister of footballer,Mario Balotteli, Abigail, and even have two children together. Abigail was in the past spotted with a ring and also referred to herself as Mrs Martins on her IG page which she has since deactivated. It is however not certain what their relationship status is now.

Karim Benzema has broken his silence after it was announced he will appear in court in October for his alleged role in the 2015 sex-tape blackmail plot of team-mate Mathieu Valbuena.
 
The Real Madrid striker is suspected of having pressured his former France team-mate to pay blackmailers who threatened to reveal an intimate video in which Valbuena featured. 
 

 
On Tuesday March 30, it was reported Benzema will go on trial from Wednesday, October 20 to Friday, October 22. Four other people will also stand trial in the case.
 
Benzema responded on his Instagram story, writing alongside a screenshot of the news: 'Yes, finally. Let the masquerade end forever'
 

 
Also reacting to news of the trial, Benzema's lawyer Sylvian Cormier described the decision as 'absurd'.
 
'We are unfortunately not surprised by this decision, which is as absurd as it was expected,' Cormier said.
 
'I am dismayed to note that one is forced to distort the elements gathered in the investigation to justify sending my client before the tribunal. 
 
'We will explain ourselves before the judges of the tribunal to demonstrate this abuse.'
 
The striker's alleged involvement has cost him his place in the France national team since 2015 despite his consistent high-level performances for his club, Real Madrid. 
 
Benzema, who is of Algerian descent, appeared 81 times for France and scored 27 goals before he was kicked out of the national team.

Captain's armband Cristiano Ronaldo angrily threw to floor while playing for Portugal is put up for auction to help pay for baby's spinal surgery







The captain's armband which Cristiano Ronaldo threw to the ground in anger after Portugal's World Cup qualifier against Serbia has now been put up for auction to help pay for a baby's medical treatment.

Ronaldo ripped off the armband and slammed it on the stadium after seeing his last-minute goal ruled out in Portugal's 2-2 draw in Belgrade last week.
 


Ronaldo was furious after what looked like a legitimate goal, which would have won the game for Portugal, was not given by the referee or his assistants.

Ronaldo's shot appeared to have crossed the line before being cleared away by Aleksandar Mitrovic's sliding clearance, but it was not awarded.
 


After vehemently protesting with the officials - and being booked for dissent, Ronaldo stormed off the field, throwing down the armband in disgust.

Now a charity organization, which is raising money for a six-month-old boy from Serbia with spinal muscular atrophy to undergo surgery, has managed to obtain the armband.

According to the Associated Press, the charity got the armband from a stadium worker who picked it up after Ronaldo threw it away and stormed off before the final whistle.

The group said the armband, which is blue with the capital letter C in white, will be put on an online auction for three days.

And any money received will be used in funding the boy's treatment.

A gang of armed thieves who tried to rob Arsenal stars Mezut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac of their £200,000 watches have been jailed for more than 100 years.

The eight men, who carried knives, machetes and firearms, terrorised wealthy north London neighbourhoods with a string of violent robberies between April 2019 and July 2020.

They wore masks as they broke into luxury homes and ambushed people in their cars before demanding they hand over jewellery and cash, often at knifepoint.

One of the gang, Jordan Northover, 28, had attempted to rob two Arsenal stars of their £200,000 watches at the point of a knitting needle on July 25, 2019.

Sead Kolasinac, 27, was a passenger in teammate Mesut Ozil's black Mercedes G-Class jeep when they were ambushed in Hampstead, northwest London.

CCTV footage shows Bosnian defender Kolasinac, known as 'The Tank', jumping out of the passenger seat of Ozil's £165,000 4x4 to fight off Northover who prods him with the needle.

But Kolasinac didn't flinch, instead squaring up to the thugs - who arrived on a moped - and attempting to knock them out before jumping back inside the vehicle.

Ozil, 32, who earned £350,000 per-week at Arsenal, sped away down the wrong side of a road in Childs Hill following the attack on July 25 and took refuge at a Turkish restaurant.

Northover was previously handed a six-year sentence for the attempted robbery.

The gang of eight were sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Monday and Tuesday following the campaign of violence.

They are understood to have committed around 20 offences in total.

In one terrifying raid, five masked men armed with a knife smashed open the door of an 80-year-old woman's bedroom and demanded she told them where her safe was.

They smashed her wardrobes and forced her to the floor on May 19, but eventually left when the horrified victim confessed she did not have a lock box.

On April 10 last year, a driver was waiting in his car when a machete was forced through the window. He ran from his car but was chased, threatened and made to hand over his Rolex.

And in June, a woman was at home with her two children in Golders Green when two burglars wearing balaclavas forced entry with a crowbar.

She tried to deter them from entering by holding up her phone saying that she was calling the police and then ran and hid upstairs as the raiders stole the keys to her black Audi.

Five of the gang struck again the next day in St John's Wood, forcing open the victim's locked bedroom door.

They ordered him to hand over cash and jewellery at knifepoint but he told them he had lost his belongings in a previous raid.

He was threatened with a gun before the gang fled as police arrived.

Two days later on July 16, four members of the gang terrorised a couple when they forced their way into a home in Brondesbury Park through a bathroom window.

The occupants awoke to find the masked men in their bedroom and were forced to open their safe after one of them threatened to 'go and see' a daughter who was sleeping next door.

Detectives had them under observation and watched on July 19 as four masked members of the gang carried out a burglary in Barnet Gate.

The raiders set off an alarm and fled empty handed in an Audi they had stolen in the previous Golders Green burglary.

Just over thirty minutes later, detectives watching them in an unmarked car in Hampstead were astonished as gang members approached the vehicle, intent on robbing them.

Officers called in reinforcements when the gang used a metal bar in an attempt to smash the car window.

The four raiders sped off in a stolen car with a police helicopter giving chase and they were all arrested nearby.

Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon handed one-game ban for Blasphemy after he shouted 'god is a pig' during Parma clash last December







Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon has been handed a one-match ban for Blasphemy, the Italian Federal Court of Appeal has ruled.
 
The veteran Italian goalkeeper, 43, was alleged to have shouted 'Porco Dio!', which translates as 'god is a pig', towards Juventus team-mate Manolo Portanova.
 
He was initially given a €5,000 euros (£4,260) fine over an incident that took place during a Serie A clash against Parma on December 19 last year but escaped a ban.
 
The goalkeeper's alleged comment was not initially proven by the Italian authorities due to a lack of clear audio but the FIGC's Court of Appeal upheld the Federal Prosecutor's appeal and imposed a ban.
 
The punishment means Buffon is ruled out of the Turin derby with Torino on Saturday April 3. 
 
Back in 2010, the 'Blashphemy Law' was introduced and a number of players in Serie A have previously been caught out. 
 
In December 2020, Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante received a one-match ban for using a blasphemous phrase during a 5-1 win over Bologna that was picked up by television camera. 
 
In 2019, Sassuolo player Francesco Magnanelli and Parma's Matteo Scozzarella, now at Monza, were also punished for a similar offence.
 
And in 2018, Juventus player Rolando Mandragora was also penalised under the blasphemy laws.

Manchester United make sensational free transfer offer to Sergio Aguero after he announces he'll be leaving rivals Manchester City this summer







Top football club, Manchester United are in negotiations to sign Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero on a free transfer from neighbours City, according to a new report.

The Argentine striker, 32, has announced he'll be leaving the Etihad in June when his contract expires and already has a host of clubs including Chelsea chasing his services.

Now French media outlet Foot Mercato claims Aguero could stay in England as both United and Chelsea have already made an offer for his services.

The report also claims PSG are keen to land Aguero with countryman Mauricio Pochettino desperate to add him to his attacking ranks.

Aguero is the Cityzens’ all-time top goalscorer after smashing in 257 goals in 384 games.

But his relationship with City supporters would be damages if he should switch across town to Old Trafford.

The story of Aguero switching to Manchester United was first touted by football pundit Paul Ince.

He told Ladbrokes: “Sergio Aguero might be leaving Man City – why should United not make a move for him?

“You could see it now – if he wanted to stay in the Premier League and he is living in Manchester, then I do not think it would be a bad thing at all if they went and got Aguero.

A shocking video has emerged of former Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin covered in blood and being arrested after allegedly assaulting his parents at their home in Envigado, Colombia. 
 
The 34-year-old midfielder who plays for Millonarios in Colombia was allegedly confronted by police after he was accused of assaulting his own father and other family members on Thursday, according to Colombian newspaper El Pais.
 

 
A video released by BluRadio Colombia appears to show Guarin covered in blood while being dragged away from his parents' garage by police. 
 
The shocking clip appears to show Guarin yelling at a policeman as he was being arrested.
 

 
According to Colombian news outlet Semana, police confirmed that Guarin had been arrested and was 'under influence of substances' after the authorities received a call for domestic violence. 
 

 
'He physically attacked his parents, who asked for him be taken away by the police,' general Jorge Vargas is reported as saying.
 
The alleged incident comes days after Guarin asked his team Millonarios for some time off due to 'personal issues', according to Marca.
 
Colombian journalist Guillermo Arango has reported that Millonarios will stand by the player and provide him with any help he needs.
 
Guarin joined Inter Milan in 2012 after stints at Porto, Saint-Etienne, and Boca Juniors. 
 

The midfielder would go on to make 141 appearances in his four years at the San Siro before being sold to Shanghai Shenhua in 2016.

Super Eagles Qualify For AFCON 2022 

Nigeria have confirmed their place at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, even before the kick off of their game against Benin Republic in Porto Novo.

This follows a goalless draw between Lesotho and Sierra Leone in the early kick-off in Group L.

The result means Lesotho can no longer qualify for next year’s tournament in Cameroon.

It also means Sierra Leone cannot match the Super Eagles’ current tally of eight points.

The Leone Stars now have four points after four matches, while their hosts have three, with one round of fixtures left.

Gernot Rohr’s men take on the Squirrels by 5pm West African Time.

Blasphemy: Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon punished for ‘comparing God to a dog’

Veteran Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has been punished with a one-match suspension for blasphemy.

Pitch-side microphones recorded the Italy legendary goalkeeper shouting a phrase that was deemed to be unacceptable in Italian language.
The shot-stopper was caught yelling the unacceptable phrase during Juventus game against Parma in December 2020.


Buffon, Juventus’ second-choice goalie will now miss Saturday’s derby against Torino and was also fined €5,000.
During Juventus’ clash with Parma on December 19, he shouted at a Juventus defender using the phrase which in Italian is seen as comparing God to a dog.

Players’ interactions on the pitch are now being recorded clearly by microphones due to the absence of fans in the stands.

This was why Buffon’s words were clearly picked up leading to the Italian FA (FIGC) to launch an investigation.
“The Federal Court of Appeal upheld the appeal of the Federal Prosecutor, inflicting one match of disqualification on Gianluigi Buffon,” a statement from the FIGC read.


“The Juventus goalkeeper, sanctioned by the National Federal Court with a fine of €5,000, had been referred for having uttered a sentence containing a blasphemous expression during the match against Parma last December 19.”

Liverpool will offload 16 of their players this summer and are willing to listen to offers from other clubs, according to The Athletic.

The Premier League title holders will embark on a major squad overhaul, with manager, Jurgen Klopp needing a major change following disastrous title defence.


They are looking to bring in additions, with a deal for Ibrahima Konate already in the pipeline and expensive fringe players will be allowed to leave the club.

The Athletic‘s James Pearce reports that Klopp and sporting director, Michael Edwards have already identified six players they are willing to sell.


These players include striker Divock Origi and winger Xherdan Shaqiri have been told they can leave.

Others are 24-year-old Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson, Sheyi Ojo and Ben Woodburn.


The report states that goalkeeper, Loris Karius, Liam Millar, Kamil Grabara and Taiwo Awoniyi are also on the list, while there are doubts over Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kostas Tsimikas and Ben Davies.

In addition, Adrian, Yasser Larouci Georginio Wijnaldum are already set to leave the club.


Liverpool, the current EPL title holders, are presently languishing outside the top four.

Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva, has provided the latest update on his fitness level ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against West Brom on Saturday.

Silva, alongside Tammy Abraham, returned to Chelsea training earlier this week ahead of the West Brom clash at Stamford Bridge.


The Brazilian centre-back had suffered a thigh injury “setback” in training in the past few weeks.

The former PSG star has not featured for Chelsea since a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in early February.

Providing an update on his fitness, Silva wrote on Instagram, “Happy to be back doing what I love! May God bless our new beginnings.”

Chelsea are presently occupying the fourth position in the Premier League with 51 points from 29 games.

France and Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he tells himself he is better than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo before matches as he feels it's important to have an inflated ego.

Mbappe has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence at Paris Saint-Germain over the past four years and many football fans feel he is the man to take over as the best player in world football when Messi and Ronaldo finally retire.

According to Mbappe, 22, seeing himself above the Barcelona star and Juventus striker is a self-motivation tactic, saying it's necessary if you want to reach the highest level of the game.

"The ego? Of course, it's important because when you're in the rough, no one else is going to push you," Mbappe told RMC Sport. 

"And you have to convince yourself that you are capable of toppling mountains.

"People don't understand ego but when you are not well there is no one who will come to your house to tell you that you can do that. It's just you and your mindset. It's just you. You have to convince yourself that you are capable of doing great things.

"Every time I go on a pitch I always tell myself that I'm the best and yet I have played on grounds where there was Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They are better players than me, they have done a billion more things than me. But, in my head, I always tell myself that I'm the best because that way you don't give yourself limits and you try to give your best."

Mbappe added "Of course, sometimes people do not understand because I think there is perhaps also this barrier which is created in relation to this subject, where one does not really explain what the ego is.

"For people, the ego is just not giving a friend a penalty, having a better salary than the player of the rival team. It's not just that, it's also in the preparation. It's a personal thing, to surpass yourself, it's way beyond that superficial thing of saying 'me, me'. But I think there is quite a bit to be said about it."
 
Mbappe has already won ten domestic trophies, including four Ligue 1 titles, while scoring 150 goals across all competitions.

He is also a World Cup winner, however, Messi and Ronaldo have shared 11 Ballon d'Or's between them over the last 12 years.

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi was in action as struggling West Bromwich Albion ended 10-man Chelsea’s unbeaten run, with a 5-2 thumping at Stamford Bridge, Completesports.com reports.

Ajayi who did not feature in the Eagles’ 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho, saw 90 minutes of football against Chelsea.

Prior to Saturday’s game the last time Chelsea suffered defeat against Leicester (2-0) on the 19th of January.

West Brom took advantage and equalised in two minutes of added time in the first half thanks to Matheus Pereira.

In the fourth minute of added time also in the first half West Brom went 2-1 up once again through Pereira.

All efforts to try and get back into the game suffered a setback as West Brom made it 3-1 on 63 minutes off Callum Robinson.

It was the turn of Mbaye Diagne to get on the score sheet as he made it 4-1 in the 68th minute.

Chelsea pulled a goal back through Mason Mount on 71 minutes but on the dot of 90 minutes Robinson netted his second goal to end the game 5-2.

Sam Allardyce is now the first manager in Premier League history to win away against Chelsea with three different clubs in the competition, also winning there with Bolton and Crystal Palace.

And for the first time in his managerial career, a Thomas Tuchel led side has conceded five goals at home.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has praised Leicester City and Super Eagles of Nigeria stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi as his side is set to take on the Foxes at King Power Stadium on Saturday, April 3.

Iheanacho has been in terrific form for Leicester recently, scoring seven goals in his last four games, including a hat-trick against Sheffield United which earned him the premier league player of the month award for March.

By winning the Premier League Player of the Month for March, Iheanacho becane the fourth Nigerian to clinch the individual accolade after Jay-Jay Okocha, Peter Odemwingie and Odion Ighalo.

Guardiola, who needs to win against Leicester City to cement his side's chances of winning the premier league has praised the impact of his former player Iheanacho while revealing that he was allowed to leave Manchester City in 2017 to enable him to secure more playing time.

"Incredible. The quality was there, he was a young player here and I believe, at that moment with Gabriel and Sergio we didn't have much space,” Guardiola said in a pre-match press conference.

“He is a fantastic person, we had a good relationship, and I'm delighted it's going well lately. He's playing for the injured Maddison and he links really well with the midfield.

“He's good in behind, he's fast and in the final third he has the right tempo, he is so clear in front of the goal."

 Guardiola also added that he is wary of Brendan Rodgers star player Wilfred Ndidi, who he described as a quality player.

“You see all the players, they have quality. Ndidi is going well, [Youri] Tielemans is a top-class player,” he added.

Iheanacho has made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes this season, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.

Chelsea 2 - 5 West Bromwich : Thomas Tuchel suffers first defeat as Chelsea manager in 7 goal thriller







The English Premiere  league kick started shockingly as relegation-threatened West Brom won 5-2 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, April 13, inflicting Thomas Tuchel's first defeat as Chelsea manager in emphatic fashion.

 Chelsea were down to 10 men for the most part of the game after Thiago Silva's red card just moments after the Blues had taken the lead through Christian Pulisic in the first half.

But West Brom, fighting for their lives in the relegation battle played  brilliant football against Chelsea in the Blues' own backyard.
 


Two goals from Matheus Pereira flipped the game in first half stoppage time, before Callum Robinson made it 3-1 and Mbaye Diagne added the fourth goal for West Brom.

Mason Mount scored what proved to be a consolation goal to make it 4-2, and with 20 minutes left, Chelsea fans hoped their side could mount a comeback .
 


But the Blues were set for misery  as Robinson scored again leaving the score at 5- 2 full time.
 


Chelsea remain fourth on the premier league table while West Brom will surely see this as fuel to help them battle relegation with barely a dozen games left this season.

Tyson Fury looks to be in unbelievable shape for his world heavyweight title unification fight against Anthony Joshua this year.

The WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion has not fought since his victory over Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
 
Six weeks ago, Fury showed off an obese figure as he went for an ice-cold dip in Morecambe beach leading many people to doubt his preparation for the fight with Joshua.
 


 

However, taking to Instagram to model off his latest merchandise, ‘The Gypsy King’ displayed a far leaner physique.

Heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury and his family celebrated Easter by carrying a huge cross to Morecambe Bay.

Fury, not shy when it comes to expressing his Christian faith,  carried a cross barefoot along the Morecambe beach to mark Easter.

He was with his dad, John Fury, a former heavyweight boxer too and his two brothers.
 
Fury posted a picture of himself, his brothers Tommy and Hughie and dad John - who was carrying the cross - to Twitter.
 

 
His accompanying caption read: "Happy easter, blessed by God.!
"He is not here, he has risen, just as he said, come see the place where he lay. #mathew28:6."
