Gokada founder, Fahim Saleh brutally murdered in US







Fahim Saleh, the owner of motorcycle-hailing company 'GoKada' and co-founder of ride-sharing venture Pathao has been found dead in his New York apartment.
 
The dismembered body of the tech entrepreneur who bought the New York apartment for $2.25 million last year was found around 3:30pm on Tuesday July 14. Police said the limbless, headless torso of the 33-year-old millionaire tech entrepreneur was found with an electric saw lying next to the remains. 
 
New York Daily News reported that the police made the grisly discovery in a building on E Houston St at Suffolk St. on the Lower East side at about 3:30pm. NYPD officers visited the seventh-floor condo after the the deceased's sister called 911 because she had not seen her brother in a day. 
 

 
Fahim was last seen on surveillance footage on Monday afternoon around 1:40pm, when he entered his building’s elevator which opens right out to his seventh-floor apartment. The surveillance footage showed Fahim getting into the elevator, followed quickly by a second man dressed in a suit, wearing gloves, a hat and a mask over his face.
 
After he walked out onto his floor, he fell immediately possibly shot or stunned. A police source said; 
 

"The perp had a suitcase. He was very professional."

 

 
Pathao Co-founder Hussain Elius has reacted to the shocking incident, saying; 
 

"We are shocked and saddened to hear the reports of the death of Fahim Saleh, one of the founding members of the Pathao team. 


"Fahim believed in the potential for technology to transform lives in Bangladesh and beyond. He saw the promise in us, when all we had was a common purpose and a shared vision.  He was, and will forever remain, an incredible inspiration for Pathao and our entire ecosystem."

 
Fahim, a Bentley University alumnus, co-founded Pathao together with Hussain M Elius and Shifat Adnan in 2015. He was a computer science and engineering (CSE) graduate. 
 

Fahim started Gokada, a motorcycle ride-sharing company in Lagos, but the company faced setbacks and mass layoffs after Lagos banned commercial motorcycles (Okada) from operating, in January 2020.

Fahim Saleh's Body Evacuated From His Home In New York (video) 

The Chief Executive Officer of the motorcycle-sharing platform, Gokada, Fahim Saleh, is dead.


Mr Faleh’s body was found Tuesday afternoon decapitated in his Manhattan apartment in the U.S., the New York Daily News reported.


The tech entrepreneur’s limbless, headless torso was found inside his Manhattan condo Tuesday afternoon with an electric saw lying next to the remains, the paper quoted the police as saying.


Mr Saleh, 33, is believed to have bought the condo for $2.25 million last year.

Gokada CEO, Fahim Saleh was murdered by assassin after lawsuit on call app







Chief Executive Officer of Gokada, Fahim Saleh is now believed to be killed by an assassin in a “financially motivated” operation.
 
Before his death, Saleh was sued by a former prison guard turned criminal who was jailed for using his app PrankDial to secretly record and listen to employees' phone calls. The app allowed Kirk Eady, the former deputy director of Hudson County Correctional Facility, place a call between two employees without them knowing he was behind it, then listen to whatever they said. 
 
He listened to their complaints about him and about their jobs then retaliated against them in the workplace, according to prosecutors. Eady who was jailed for 15 months, sued Saleh for fraud in 2017, claiming the app made him think what he was doing was legal. 
 
Daily Mail reported that Fahim was killed by a professional who rode with him up in the elevator then got out when it opened directly onto Saleh's apartment. The killer, dressed in a mask, gloves and hat and wearing what police sources described as a 'ninja outfit', had a suitcase with him - presumably to remove his remains when he'd finished the job. 
 
The killer was said to have abandoned the scene and escaped midway into the operation when Saleh’s sister showed up unexpectedly. He reportedly left his electronic saw behind.
 
New York Daily News reported that police sources said; 
 

"He used a stun gun to incapacitate Saleh before murdering him.
“He was dressed like a ninja, full out, so you can’t even see his face. He clearly knew what he was doing. We think his intent was to get rid of the body parts and go back and clean it up and make it look like nothing happened. He left before he finished the job.”

 
Police found that Saleh's legs below the knees and his arms had been removed, with the missing body parts placed into bags. Surprisingly, there was very little blood. 
 
The New York Times reported that some effort had been made to clear up evidence.  Cops are now trying to work out whether the arrival of the victim's sister interrupted the dismembering of Saleh's body.

Gokada founder, Fahim Saleh’s autopsy report revealed









Fahim Salem, founder and CEO of Gokada, died of multiple stab wounds, New York City's medical examiner said on Thursday, July 16.

 

Saleh, 33, was found dead in his Manhattan's Lower East Side apartment on Tuesday, July 14, with his body dismembered.

 

An autopsy by the city's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Thursday that Saleh died as a result of stab wounds to the neck and torso and found his manner of death to be homicide, a spokesperson told CNN.

 



Authorities are still investigating Saleh's death. He was last seen in surveillance video getting into an elevator in his apartment building and a man dressed in all black -- who police believe is Saleh's assailant -- entering the elevator with him, according to the law enforcement official.

 

His family described him as a "brilliant and innovative mind" in a statement released to confirm his death.

 

The statement reads: "The headlines talk about a crime we still cannot fathom. Fahim is more than what you are reading. He is so much more. His brilliant and innovative mind took everyone who was a part of his world on a journey and he made sure never to leave anyone behind.

 

"There are no words or actions to provide any of us comfort except the capture of the person who exhibited nothing short of evil upon our loved one."

Personal Assistant of Gokada CEO, Fahim Saleh, who was found murdered and dismembered in his home, has been arrested







21-year-old Tyrese Devon Haspil, the former personal assistant of Fahim Saleh, the 33-year-old tech entrepreneur who was found decapitated and dismembered in his Manhattan apartment this week has been arrested. 
 
LIB reported earlier that Fahim was killed by a professional who rode with him up in the elevator then got out when it opened directly onto Saleh's apartment. The kille dressed in a mask, gloves and hat and wearing what police sources described as a 'ninja outfit', had a suitcase with him - presumably to remove his remains when he'd finished the job. 
 
The killer was said to have abandoned the scene and escaped midway into the operation when Saleh’s sister showed up unexpectedly. He reportedly left his electronic saw behind. Police found that Saleh's legs below the knees and his arms had been removed, with the missing body parts placed into bags.
 
New York Times reported that Haspil who was arrested early on Friday July 17, is believed to have intentions of killing Saleh after he found that he (suspect) embezzled tens of thousands of dollars from him.  Saleh did not report the alleged theft to authorities, but brokered a repayment plan with Haspil.
 
He is expected to be charged in a criminal complaint with second degree murder and other crimes. The police are expected to announce the arrest at a news conference later on Friday.

According to police, Haspil, attacked and killed Saleh, his former boss on Monday July 13th in his luxury $2.2m New York apartment. 
 

The gruesome killing shocked neighbors and the tech and venture capital worlds, where Saleh, a founding partner at Adventure Capital, cultivated a reputation as an energetic and creative businessman who specialized in direct investment in developing nations. His ride-hailing apps in Nigeria, Gokada, and his parents’ native Bangladesh, Pathao, grew to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
 
Police have since arrested Haspil. Authorities believe Haspil killed Saleh in other to avoid paying back about $90,000 he stole from the tech entrepreneur. 

Saleh had found out his PA had stolen from him and instead of reporting him to the police authorities, he sacked him and set up a repayment plan for Haspil to pay him back. 
Haspil chose instead to kill him.
