Three FUTO students found dead in hostel, one unconscious after Drug overdose

Three students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, (FUTO) were found dead at at a hostel on Tuesday, after an alleged drug orgy. The fourth student, a female, is reportedly currently unconscious at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Owerri.

According to reports, the four students were found onTuesday at Sunshine Castle Hostel, Umuchima at ihiagwa Community, Owerri North LGA, Imo state. They had been reportedly taking a mixture of tramadol, codeine, vodka and India hemp. 

Two reportedly died instantly whle the only lady amongst them and another male student were found unconcious and immediately moved to Federal Medical Centre Owerri and placed on life support there. The male student later died at the hospital, leaving only the lady unconscious.

Reports claim all four of them were found Unclad, one was with a bathing soap in his hand, the other lying on top of the lady. The room was filled with bottles of codeine, packets of tramadol, India hemp and vodka and other drugs.

Police men arrived at the hotel on Wednesday morning to take away the dead bodies and also arrest the lodge caretaker. Currently most occupants of the lodge have vacated the premises for fear of being arrested.

We Recovered The Male Victim On Top Of Female Colleague - FUTO Hostel Mates

Hostel mates of the late FUTO students who died during a Foursome sex, have disclosed that they recovered the male victim on top of their female colleague.According to Chibuike Oguoma, while a male victim was recovered on top the female colleague, another male, also a victim, was found in the bathroom holding a soap. 

Speaking to Punch's correspondent, Oguoma revealed that the caretaker of the hostel alerted them to the ugly development. According to the undergraduate, the sudden death of the three students was devastating.

 “It was the caretaker who called and when we went to the room, we found one of the boys on top of the girl. He was already dead. The other one was found dead in the bathroom. We has holding a soap in his hand.“The police were alerted and came and carried all the bodies away. Indian hemp and Tramadol were found in the room. Two of them had died before we opened the room, while the other two were rushed to the hospital. We want police to do a thorough job in finding out the real cause of their deaths" he said.

FUTO Confirms Identities Of Students That Died During Foursome Sex



The management of the Federal University of Technology (FUTO) in Owerri, Imo State, has finally confirmed that three out of the four students, who died at the Sunshine Castle Hostel, Ihiagwa, after allegedly taking tramadol and Indian hemp, were their students.

The school’s Public Relations Officer, Uche Nwelue, said after investigation, the university was able to identify three of the victims.

Nwelue told reporters that checks in the school’s student data system, confirmed that the three males, who allegedly took part in the sex orgy at the hostel near the institution, were students of FUTO.

The university’s spokesperson said, “I can now confirm to you that all the three boys, who took part in the alleged sex incident after an alleged drug overdose, were students of the university.

“The only female among them is not our student; she is from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede. That is the true situation of things as it concerns the studentship of the victims.”

Asked what the university would do now that it had confirmed that three out of the four students were from the institution, Nwelue stated, “The university is actually handicapped as it relates to this matter.

“The incident happened outside of the campus of the university. We do not have control over their lifestyle outside the campus. Moreover, the school has rules and regulations guiding every student here.

“If any of them breaks it, we will punish him/her once he/she comes back to school. But beyond this, parents should watch their children and encourage them to live in hostels on the campus. It will make them to be more serious and dedicated to their studies.”

It had been reported that four students, Ugochukwu Kingsley, Richard, Aka Uche and Onyinyechi Okafor, were rescued from the hostel after an alleged sex romp.

“The only female among them is not our student; she is from the University of Port Harcourt and hails from Abacha a town in Idemili Local Government of Anambra state. .
That is the true situation of things as it concerns the studentship of the victims.”

“The incident happened outside of the campus of the university. We do not have control over their lifestyle outside the campus. Moreover, the school has rules and regulations guarding every student here.

It had been reported that four students, Ugochukwu Kingsley, Richard, Aka Uche and ILOADIUKOR Clara Adaeze were rescued from the hostel after an alleged s*x romp.

While two out of the four students were found dead in the room, the other two were rushed to hospital.
One other person died at the hospital.

ILOADIUKOR Clara Adaeze remains the only one alive and has regained consciousness.
