Toyin Saraki Wellbeing Foundation Africa Partners WHO To Host " Abuja Walk The Talk" Health Campaign
Wife of former Nigeria Senate President, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, the Founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa, has held a humanitarian campaign in the Federal Capital Territory tagged, "Abuja Walk The Talk". The road walk sensitization and awareness campaign was supported and in collaboration with World Health Organization(WHO), MCF and other local and international humanitarian agencies.
The "Abuja Walk The Talk" campaign witnessed the participation of reputable public office holders from concerned institutions, key players in international and local NGOs across the world, Healthcare and medicare consultants, as well as other distinguished personalities from divers sectors.
Some of the high profile persons that joined the "Abuja Walk The Talk" sensitization parade included the Honourable Minister for Youths and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare, Head of Mission, World Health Organizatio, Dr. Clement Peter, Nollywood Actress Kate Henshaw, amongst others.
The 7.8 kilometers walk was focused on raising awareness on healthy lifestyles, fight against cancerous diseases and other medicare and healthy leaving approaches, says Mrs. Toyin Saraki, when addressing newsmen during the Walk. She appreciated WHO for their resourceful partnership and support towards ensuring the implementation of such impact making initiative.
MedicAid and other health agencies were present, as an Ambassador of the NGO, China Mnena thanked and encouraged the organisers of the sensitization campaign, stressing that more efforts will be made if the people are informed and are aware, noting that ignorance is the biggest illness anyone could suffer from.
