MERCY AND IKE
Entertainment worth a binge, Mercy and Ike is it.
24 April 2020
Celebrityville is a jungle cemented on trends and has ‘clout chasing’ as its cornerstone. Some battle it out Tarzan style for entry and some, the likes of Mercy and Ike are brought in by a flying saucer by public demand.
It wasn’t from the onset, but it became quite evident that Mercy Eke and Ike Onyema were a match made in gaming heaven, and the force of ‘realness’ they both exerted during their #BBNaija ‘Pepper dem’ run guaranteed a solid fanbase! When Mercy scooped the win hands down, we all knew she’d live a life worth peeking through, and that’s exactly what ‘Mercy and Ike’ is; a reality TV series that explores the dimensions of their embellished lives and how they solidify their union while at it.
Here's five solid reasons to tune in:
It’s a first of its kind
We’ve seen winners come, and we’ve seen winners go, but Mercy took her winning stance back to the street and kept the highlights rolling. You loved her in the House and you’re loving her in the streets; so why not?!
She won the money, let's see how she spends it
Need we improvise court proceedings to further dissect this notion, abi? Exactly. Since walking out of the Pepper dem compound, Mercy scooped a train of good deals (We haven’t seen contracts sha, but e be like say!) and has mastered the art of making that extra dollar. So?! We might as well see her spend it!
It’s a ‘realness’ game
Mercy was Mercy and is Mercy and will remain Mercy. Basically, what you see is what you get. You'll get to watch her expressing herself in the same passionate way we know!
We all love love
It doesn't matter how many ups or downs, we all love a good love story! Mercy and Ike are not the perfect fairytale, but their relationship has all the things we love, and the ones we love to hate!
Lockdown
Of course, last but certsainly not least: We all need our guilty pleasures to keep us entertained during this time. Mercy and Ike will be serving all that and more!
We have plenty more reasons to tell you, but then we might reveal too much, too soon. Make sure you tune in from Sunday, 26 April at 18:30, on DStv CH 151 AM Showcase. Follow the tag #AMMercyandIke and gist with us.

MERCY AND IKE
04 MAY
#AMMercyandIke, what social says!
Here's how you guys reacted to the first episode of Mercy and Ike.
30 April 2020
It all started when the heat graduated more than just a few degrees and while others simply evacuated the kitchen, Mercy and Ike felt right at home, and so did their budding romance. It was however on everyone's radar that the love bugs wouldn't cut outside the House, especially given Mercy's exponentiated net worth... But homegirl done made it clear that Ike was her boo!
There were so many reasons why the streets felt that they wouldn't make it out hands intertwined, and one of the reason was, of course, Mercy's decision to put 'romance' in the back burner for a little while and focus on the business of the day... The game! To say this still HAS you guys would be a sheepish understatement because it's obviously still a fav!
while the above remains a sour point for some, the Lambo X Ike ship enthusiast continue to see gold. Just as they did between the thick walls of Big Brother's House, the pair keeps rolling trend-worthy content and behold, they have become ultimate content royalty. Igweeeee!
The first episode was such a skyscraper, and you all were as high as kites and definitely within... In the mood we mean! See what we did there?! Ehe!
Assin, you people sha! Besides all the hype and thousands of 'I can't wait' tweets painting us a large picture of how very anticipated the show was, some of you (Bless your hearts) went as far as going on yours knees for the starlets and tweeting your pleas to Oluwa. See proper Nigerian home education heh! Amen o!
It definitely wasn't just about finding out what your favs have been up to since the BBNaija curtain was drawn to a close. It's about the tone used in every phrase, every eye-locking moment, every time the pair goes silent and then giggle the awkwardness away... Basically, you guys look forward to every aspect of their interaction and how they do poetic justice to all the feels transmitted through your TV screens.
E no be small business, jare. You titans made it crystal clear that yall for the ship and there's no wreckage in sight, and besides being all hands on deck for smooth sailing, ya'll acknowledge that this is about Mercy and Ike. They decide how to steer the ship and they captain their destinies, be it collectively or individually.
We absolutely cannot get over how this is more a movement than it is a show for you. Ya'll realize just how much power lies in your hands and that's exactly what makes this show special.
It's about two ordinary people that pushed against the tide and decided that their dreams were valid enough to yank against 'reality' for.
A decision that brought them this far and in your living room. You're right, it shouldn't just be a 'Sunday affair', talk about it, tweet about it, speculate, send more positive vibes and remember, #AMMercyandIke is the only tag you should be using to 'Titan' this up. So keep it locked and keep those tweets coming.
