Nigerian President Buhari back home from vacation - trustangel - 08-22-2018 Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has returned home from a 10-day vacation in London. The 75-year-old landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in the capital Abuja on Saturday evening and was received by top government officials and some of his supporters. Two days to his resumption, President Buhari is expected to preside over a meeting with the security chiefs on Monday. Buhari, who left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on August 3, had handed over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in an acting capacity. The President has also written a letter to the National Assembly, informing it of his resumption of duties. Buhari, while reacting to series of defections by politicians from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), said the exit were part of the beauty of democracy.
