Unidentified gunmen abduct farmer in Kwara - Edoman - 04-23-2021 METRO Unidentified gunmen abduct farmer in Kwara   on  April 23, 2021 Kwara State police command, on Friday confirmed the abduction of a farmer and businessman, Alhaji Alaga Olayemi by seven unidentified gunmen. DAILY POST reports that Olayemi was kidnapped from his farm around 7p.m on Thursday, at Oke-Onigbin in Isin Local Government Area of the State. According to the spokesman of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, police operatives have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers and to rescue the victim. ” One Alhaji Alaga Olayemi was reportedly kidnapped in his farm by seven unknown gunmen. “Intensive efforts to rescue him has been activated by the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Lawal Bagega,” the spokesman stated in a text message on the development to DAILY POST on Friday. Olayemi and two others were ambushed and attacked by the yet-to-be identified gunmen on their way home from a maize farm. After the confrontation with the armed men, the two boys luckily escaped being abducted but not without injuries sustained from machete cuts inflicted by the attackers. Their master, Olayemi, was, however, kidnapped and ferried to an unknown destination by the gunmen.
