Gunmen kidnap traditional ruler in Ekiti state - Edoman - 04-16-2021 Gunmen kidnap traditional ruler in Ekiti state Traditional ruler of Ilemeso Ekiti, David Oyewumi has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.    Channels Television reported that Oyewumi was kidnapped on Thursday evening, April 15 in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State.    The state police spokesperson, Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident and also disclosed that the gunmen scaled the fence of the palace and released several gunshots before taking the monarch to an unknown destination.   Abutu said the police command was undeterred in its determination to overrun crime in the state despite emerging cases of kidnap and ambush.
