Former Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin has said that Nigeria's next war will be fought in forests across the country.

Olonisakin said this while being screened at the National Assembly for an ambassadorial position.

He further disclosed that a research he conducted on forests three years ago, showed that there are over a thousand forest reserves in the country and there is an urgent need to protect the forests which have become hideouts for criminals.
